I saw the Epic Mickey beta trailer and felt so robbed so I decided to make my own concepts of the game 😤 and then @pekoeboo was also losing it so we came up with a bunch of concepts, the heart being a stabilizer was her idea ;-; and she helped with that fourth pose :’>
Disney how could u take the edge away from us … Disney when I catch you Disney, Disney when I catch you…

Which of the Mickey Rouges has Donald meet that aren’t Pete in the comics, drawings do not count, it has to be a comic. Here, we'll be counting any comic that we can get our hands on because it makes things way easier, trust me, guys.
Blot: This is a easy one, Blot has meet Donald a good amount of time, even in his pk form.
Tumblr media
Scuttle: idk why I completely forgot, Scuttle technical first appearance is literally a duck comic (yes had a different name, but his name changes alot through before finally landing on Scuttle). So yeah, Scuttle and Donald had met.
Tumblr media
Portis: Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think these two had even talk to eachother before. They appeared in the same comics together but I don't think they ever technically meet.
Eil: Weirdly yes. There was these weird UK comics where he was the main bad guy since Scrooge didn't exist. They also meet in Lonesome Ghosts in the Machine.
Tumblr media
Trudy: also yes and in different universes too, wild that she meet Donald but Portis seemedly haven't.
Tumblr media
Sylvester: Yes but for the longest time they haven't and it drove me crazy.
Tumblr media
Vulter: Meet reaglar Doanld and pk at the same time and melted his car. I don't know what to do with this information.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Miklos: No, (change that topolino, please)
Rhymes: Nope.
Doublejoke: triple nope.
Professor Ecks, doublex, tripelx: Kinda of? Okay, so there frist meeting was super weird since they were going for a classic vibe and decided to change their names and act like this the first time anyone have meet them, but they did meet again in the Captain Nemo series. So yes.

Hang on this actually sounds like a sick concept for a movie-
I do this with literally freaking everything, especially toons, especially Felix the Cat.
I thinks it’s part of the reason I can stand to watch trash shows, and often find a lot of love for objectively horrible characters, because I seem to watch things through a very meta lens. Toons are the easiest things to do this with because their world is already really meta; it makes perfect sense to question their opinions on their real-world fame, their mental state from haters, the things a company makes them do that they themselves would never agree with, because they really do get to see the effects and consequences of their franchise. But unlike a real life actor or someone, no one holds back on harassing a character. Because they’re not real. I’m like their therapist, basically. How does this make them feel?
I have infinite thoughts about this, but that looks like a lot so I’ll stop here

Poor quality picture but here, the moment he considers Mickey a brother
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you!! Discourse aside, this moment is so sweet??
It's hard for me to explain (words hard moment) but there's just..something between the canon story and what really happened irl that blends together. like maybe i'm reading too far into it. but with canon you've got child favorism and with irl you've got like, almost like kids separated with their parents. and with both you've got this sort of. estrangement. oswald's the forgotten child while mickey's oh so funny and loveable and gets all the attention. and i've thought of retellings where the script is flipped and oswald instead admires him but it just doesn't feel the same?
oswald's emotions, from his fury to his spite to his depression, compares to that of a kid who had all the attention pulled from them the moment their sibling proved to "have more potential". who was left to grow up directionless. who tried over and over to go "look, look what i've made!" but was ignored and left to turn bitter.
so he HATES his brother. because in his eyes mickey took everything from him. even during the paint path it takes awhile for oswald to warm up to him, beginning to see mickey's appeal in one breath while still considering taking his heart - all that love that could've been his - for himself. he knows this. he knows it's wrong. and he realizes that it's something mickey wouldn't do, unlike him.
"Now I really DO see why he liked you."

Imagine Riku staying at Disney Castle and wanting to look something up on the internet (eyeliner tutorials) so he turns on Mickey's computer and the first thing he sees is Data-Sora and Data-Riku(/Jiminy's digitised Journal) making out

Did you think I forgot about this au? Well guess what?... No, it's not the third part...
Tumblr media
I wasn't proud of the art style, it was too simple... At first, I was just going to add a neck to their designs, but then I made them taller, and-... EVERYTHING HAPPENED SO FAST!! :'(
(I accidentally changed them completely)
I don't think I'll remake the comic and history, since almost anything else has changed.

Doodleverse part 3
I’ve been studying character design for years self taught but someday I wanna be a professional designer OR storyboardist and I’ve always heard that a good way to start off designing is to have a good enough knowledge of shape language, silhouette, color pallette, exaggeration, pose, and body type. So here is half of those things that I’ve worked on so far!
Shape language helps identify the personality of the character (circles, triangles, squares)
Circles = Friendly, Good, Bouncy, Soft, Welcome, Warm, Happy
Triangle = Edginess, Danger, Intensity, Speed
Squares = Stability, Trust, Stubborness
Silhouette is very important if you wanna have a clear design. Your character must be recognizable from silhouette alone. (its kinda like the Who’s That Pokemon challenge)
These two characters below are from a webcomic by @hasanistories that I’m making my OC for. You can read the comic Doris Doodle here on tumblr or on webtoon. Also follow Dawn Doodle on here too to get more context @dawnanddorisqna Im making an AU where these three girls have a friendship trio dynamic. So far I’ve broken down thier character designs according to the terms above. I’ve tried to make sure my oc design seemed recognizable and easily fit into the story’s unique art style.
Tumblr media
My OC is named Daisy Dischord, but her stage name is DJ Mary Melodies. She's supposed to be the new mascot for the Frame x Frame Club so I really wanted to use a lot of animation/Hollywood themed elements in her design.
Shes a rabbit girl around the same age as Dawn and the deer girl (I made a whole backstory for the deer too which I will elaborate more on in a later post) a signature feature of her design I tried to make was her big rabbit ears. I wanted to make them look like a movie clapperboard since shes supposed to represent the animation\film industry and the black and white stripes match perfectly with Dawn's/Doris' stripe pattern too. Her choker is supposed to resemble the pegboards on an animator’s desk. Her headphones are made to look like hollywood film reels.
The name Daisy is a reference to the official early concept design of Lola Bunny (previously called Daisy Lou as a placeholder name) Then Daisy’s last name Dischord is a play on words mostly. Discord is another word for Chaos, which is what my Daisy’s personality is like and it also has the word Chord to reference her occupation as a DJ at the Frame x Frame Club. I’ve also wanted to keep her name in the same naming style as older cartoons where the initials are the same letter (Mickey Mouse=M.M, Bugs Bunny=B.B, Roger Rabbit=R.R, Doris/Dawn Doodle=D.D) Her stage name Mary Melodies is a reference to the looney tunes Merrie Melodies shorts.
The color pallette and her WHOLE aesthetic is based off the color pallette that animators use during the “rough animation\tie-down” phase of the animation process pipeline. The red translates to highlights/details and the blue translates to shadows. More specifically I chose a maroon outlining color bcuz I wanted to make a reference to “Maroon Cartoons”. I’ve also made the under-section of her hair the same exact color as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’s blue pants. The marks on her cheek are the animation timechart symbols. When shes casual she has “2D” as a reference to 2D animation and when shes in work-mode it changes to “A12″ as a reference to “the 12 principles of Animation”. Shes like a personified love letter to animation!
I’ll post more details and backstory next time!

actually it makes so much sense that sad mouse was the one to awaken me and make me question things, since my sense of reality kinda does uh,,, get blurred, so to speak, during those shifts
it's not to the level of a DA i don't think, and i don't wanna claim it as such, but it's definitely really hard to separate myself from other sad mouse variants - even tho my past isn't really the same as others ???
maybe i am a sad mouse irl i dunno i don't wanna use a term i have no right to use, especially with the connotations, but holy hell those feelings are sTRONG
talking about levels of "how tf do you people not gET WHO I AM???" kind of identity oops
i think i need a chill pill fr

Eyyy it’s the original post! So once again friends, the facts:
1) Nitrogen narcosis affects literally everyone, because it is a biophysical result of breathing unprocessed air at greater depths.
Different people have different reactions in exactly the same way they react differently to alcohol, but it is absolutely not something you can be screened for and then never worry about
(I would not be surprised if part of the deep diving certification included intentional exposure under controlled conditions, to familiarise you with its effects though. The test could be legit)
You yourself may experience more or less narcosis, or have different responses, based on what you’ve been doing from one dive to another
It’s also why deep diving involves carrying multiple tanks, because you need to breathe a different mixture of gases at different depths! There is a second thresh hold at 300 feet past which you can’t breathe the same percentage mix you do from 100 feet down, which will include helium as well as nitrogen and oxygen
(You’ll also probably have different mixes for your ascent, because drastically increasing the oxygen percentage in what you breathe seriously reduces the time you gotta spend waiting for the gasses you’ve absorbed to be safely released)
When you hit 984 feet you actually need to switch gasses again, not just the mixture. You’ll need to replace helium with hydrogen, because even helium becomes narcotic with enough pressure
Gasses: they will all fuck you up when they want to
2) the threshold for nitrogen narcosis is 100 feet, not 60 feet, though it is rare for symptoms to be noticeable above 120 feet
However, if you look this up you’ll see units measured in fsw or msw. These mean “feet of sea water” and “meters of sea water” (although occasionally it’s just called “salt water”)
This is a unit of pressure, not distance, so based on wave activity above you, you can’t just measure the distance down. It’s 100fsw, not just 100 feet up and down. You know, since the surface of the water moves
200fsw is about 60msw though, and the last safe limit at which you need to switch to a helium mixture to avoid nitrogen narcosis causing full unconsciousness, so the number may not have come from nowhere
Easy point of confusion, gonna blame science on this one for giving things buckwild names
3) we know exactly why this happens, and again it has nothing whatsoever to do with a rare subset
It’s because of the way nitrogen behaves under pressure, so the people comparing it to the bends are not technically correct, but they’re in the same wheelhouse with the same process, just different parts of the body
This can happen with oxygen too though! It’s more technically called inert gas narcosis, and the assumption used when calculating for gas mixes like trimix (helium-oxygen-nitrogen) assumes that nitrogen and oxygen have about the same narcotic effects at depth
Some organizations prefer a straight helium-oxygen mix for depth (called heliox), and the debate doesn’t seem to have a clear winner yet. Helium’s expensive though, so that may be a partial factor
As I said above, even helium becomes narcotic once you get to the real deep depths, and you need to switch to a hydrogen oxygen mix
Essentially, it’s a function of pressure. Increased pressure causes your body to absorb gasses in ways that just aren’t possible at lesser pressures, and we can prove this using things like a pressure chamber right at sea level and pumping our gas mixes in
(This is how deep sea divers can train and get used to the different mixes without having to dive every time)
The narcotic problem comes when nitrogen (or indeed any of our inert gasses) is absorbed by the fatty tissues of the brain. They’re not known for electrical conduction, so it interferes in the synaptic transmission and stops your brain cells from talking to each other properly
(the bends come from nitrogen being absorbed into your blood, which will carbonate (nitrogenate?) your ass if you ascend too quickly and the nitrogen becomes a gas while still in your bloodstream
Fizzy blood is not good for anyone)
Reducing the amount of gases you breathe in which can be absorbed this way reduces the chances you’ll have the bad brain bubbles, thus reducing your chances of nitrogen necrosis
It’s not magic, it’s not mysterious, and while scientists are still debating exactly why and how the synapses get fucked by this, we know that’s what causes the problem and how to fix it - returning to a lower pressure atmosphere and letting the nitrogen ease out of the places it shouldn’t be
You’ll feel a little drunk, a little euphoric or paranoid perhaps, go back to the surface, and feel better
(No registered diving company is gonna let you go deep enough for the serious symptoms without giving you a proper gas mix because Holy Shit The Lawsuits)
The only reason it’s dangerous is because it’s very easy to accidentally die while you’re in water, which is why you’re extremely unlikely to be allowed to dive while drunk or high
You need a clear head, the ability to check your equipment, and a general sense of sobriety to dive safely. The air you breathe accidentally fucking your synapses up is just a fun new development of depth!
The actual science is a little boring though, and I doubt any of it comes up in depth during a regular deep dive certification
All you need to know there is that it happens, how to spot it, and what to do about it
I did maybe an hour of research, total. Favourite sources:
SCIENCE! Lots of little snippets from articles you can expand for a variety of topics, dry reading but includes debates and much more numbers. Has a variety of cool perspectives like the medical explanation, the mechanical explanation, and what the fuck you’re doing down there anyway once you’re past recreational depths

Actual Diving Establishment! Nice, easily readable explanations assuming you’re gonna be doing this yourself. Includes the various gas mixes, and what you can expect and do about actual real life nitrogen narcosis

I know people on tumblr looove stories of underwater cave diving, but I haven't seen anyone talk about nitrogen narcosis aka "raptures of the deep"
basically when you want to get your advanced scuba certification (allowing you to go more than 60 feet deep) you have to undergo a very specific test: your instructor takes you down past the 60+ foot threshold, and she brings a little underwater white board with her.
she writes a very basic math problem on that board. 6 + 15. she shows it to you, and you have to solve it.
if you can solve it, you're good. that is the hardest part of the test.
because here's what happens: there is a subset of people, and we have no real idea why this happens only to them, who lose their minds at depth. they're not dying, they're not running out of oxygen, they just completely lose their sense of identity when deep in the sea.
a woman on a dive my instructor led once vanished during the course of the excursion. they were diving near this dropoff point, beyond which the depth exceeded 60 feet and he'd told them not to go down that way. the instructor made his way over to look for her and found a guy sitting at the edge of the dropoff (an underwater cliff situation) just staring down into the dark. the guy is okay, but he's at the threshold, spacing out, and mentally difficult to reach. they try to communicate, and finally the guy just points down into the dark, knowing he can't go down there, but he saw the woman go.
instructor is deep water certified and he goes down. he shines his light into the dark, down onto the seafloor which is at 90 feet below the surface. he sees the woman, her arms locked to her sides, moving like a fish, swimming furiously in circles in the pitch black.
she is hard to catch but he stops her and checks her remaining oxygen: she is almost out, on account of swimming a marathon for absolutely no reason. he is able to drag her back up, get her to a stable depth to decompress, and bring her to the surface safely.
when their masks are off and he finally asks her what happened, and why was she swimming like that, she says she fully, 100% believed she was a mermaid, had always been a mermaid, and something was hunting her in the dark 👍
