I hate that some people say that some people are "to old" for dolls. Saying how "you shouldn't be playing with those your to old for them. Those are for kids."

These people don't know that when people like me say 'there literally my everything' or 'there the only thing keeping me going lol' that I mean every word of it. They ARE my everything and they ARE the only thing keeping me going rn.

So don't laugh. Don't judge. Don't say it's "weird". You have no idea how much damage those "toys" saved me from.

My repaint of G3 Toralei. I tried to combine some of her look from G1 (her orange patch and cheek stripes) and more of her animated counterpart’s look (the lighter palms and blaze, more stripes on her legs and tail, painted red nails, painted inner ears, and a longer forehead stripe). I haven’t sealed it yet (due to fall weather) and I’m still deciding if I like it. I should have also already braided, hot water bath, unbraided, and cut her hair…..but her long hair had kind of grown on me, and I got too excited with repainting Ghoulia.

I still also want to make her (and Ghoulia) some pants too. Eventually…

This was my first custom doll that I ever created (back in 2014). I didn’t own the SDCC release at the time and didn’t think he really represented the character well, so I tried making this guy. I also wanted him to have a removable jacket (which I might re-make and give a slick fabric lining to reduce the friction of getting it on and off, I would also not get fabric glue all over, and I would get some ribbon the correct magenta color/find some that wont fade with time). I think he turned out pretty good. He’s made of felt, stuffing, pipe cleaners, and lots of thread holding him together. Haha. He has six real pins stuck in him as well. I tried to capture his pouty lip, and his little belly too. He’s fully posable (but would have done well to have a thicker wire skeleton), and has held up fairly well despite my amateur sewing skills and use of really thin blue felt on his body. His fingers were the most difficult to create, but are also individually pose-able, and his fair has two colors of blue felt in it. He’s not for sale and is for my personal collection.
