What are Sloth Sans/Demon Sans Powers; relationships; what is he like in the other runs???

Ok, let's talk about Demon! Sans!

The embodiment of idleness, he's the predator of many emotions and states linked to this sin, such as apathy, depression and resignation.

We've already talked about his use of illusions (music/ hypnosis) to charm and disarm his victims, dreams being his preferred hunting ground, and one his unique ability (your personnal sleep paralysis demon), but he's just as much as a threat in real life!

His preferred strategy is to lower the enemy's stats (DEF, ATK, HP, etc) so he can finish them off with a single strike or, better yet, let their body slowly die while he lulls their soul into an endless dream.

He gradually deprives them of the desire to attack or defend themselves, amplifying the fatigue (physical and psychological) and sense of powerlessness, of helplessness hidden deep in their souls.

If he's in a playful mood or if his victim has upset him, he takes great pleasure in awakening their traumas by peering into their unconscious and projecting nightmarish hallucinations. Making them super aware of their situation is also effective: they can't defeat him, and even if they could or if he decided to spare them, only death and more pain awaits them at the end of their journey, by the hand of another Lord or bc they're litteraly in hell. However, his habit of granting a “peaceful death” is viewed as merciful compared to the other Lords (or cruel and messed up by others)

A word of advice, however, to intruders venturing into his Snowdin territory: if you stumble upon his collection of ice statues or a suspicious pile of snow, keep walking and don't touch anything.

I'll focus on the relationships showed here

Gluttony - His brother. He practically raised him and supports him to this day, going so far as to share the territory where they grew up (Snowdin). Demons tend to avoid such close ties, as it can become a weakness, but the Skeleton brothers are a rare exception, having proven time and again their ruthlessness.

Lust - They don't usually interact but Lust suspects he's hiding something from the other Lords. + there was the time he teleported in his sleep onto the set of Lust (live broadcast), putting everyone in the audience to sleep. He doesn't remember but Mettaton might hold a ti~ny grudge.

Pride - A combination of distrust and disapproval of some of the King's past decisions. He remains loyal to him, but doesn't mind the distance between their respective territories.

Wrath (former) - Lord from the past generation. He was close to them and received a lot of help from both him and their skeleton friend. Both disappeared overnight, their names erased from the archives as Undyne took on the now vacant role. He can't openly look for them bc of the King's order, but he assumes they must have found a way to hide somewhere…

Frisk - The kid that somehow managed to become friend with his brother and is now cosplaying as an imp. He has no interest in directly harming them, only playing tricks on them and witness how far they can make it with that puny soul.

Other runs:

This part is still a WIP since I've mostly worked on a "neutral route" so far lol Also, Demons are, well, "bad", so the genocide run requires more reflection

Neutral:

Mischievous and willfully neglectful, he tolerates Frisk and the player on his territory, but doesn't go out of his way to help them since his brother is already helping.

Pacifist:

Still playful and unbothered, but Papyrus has told him all about Frisk's adventures and how they became friends with other Demons. He is curious and may appear at randoms moments in the run to help the player (tell them about a secret passage in Waterfall or come and play an instrument for Lust's show and put the whole audience to sleep).

.Gives Frisk a bone instrument (a very tiny violon) to celebrate their friendship and shares some secrets with them, like the origin of the bells on his and his brother's horns and how hell used to be before the Queen left.

Genocide:

Same as neutral until he kills Frisk for the first time. He'll trigger a blizzard on the next playthrough to block the door leading to HOME, trapping the player in the empty ruins to observe their reaction. If the player manages to find another way out (or force their way out), Sloth will appear to them only as illusions, asking what they are and mocking them for thinking they can defeat what is already dead, nonetheless sans is willing to watch them try.

.Observes and creates illusions along the way to hinder Frisk. He reveals that sinners can't escape hell until they're freed from their sins, and that the player will undoubtedly end up in the hands of Pride, the King and Demon who rules over those with egos as big as the player's (=that's why he and the other Lords are just toying with the player, they don't see them as a real threat and nobody wants to double-cross the King anyway).

.He's not that bothered by the actions of the player, they're demons and it's hell after all. He might even enjoy watching this more than the pacifist run at first....

Hm.... Actually, maybe I should rename these. Something like : Redemption or Sinner route idk the expectations are different from canon UT, Demons are USED to killing and stuff. Even if one of them die, a new demon reappear. No, the real surprise would be if someone tried to do good for once, wouldn't it?

Undertale characters see S/O break a bone and then S/O basically just does a Far Cry healing animation and doesn’t even care they got hurt.

Undertale Sans - He grabs your arm gently but firmly, with dark eye sockets. "b u d d y ? N e v e r d o t h a t a g a i n." He hated every second of it. What's wrong with you? Go to the hospital like a normal person, you're going to hurt yourself more.

Undertale Papyrus - He faints. First, the shock of seeing your leg on the wrong side triggered him, but you simply putting it back in place like it's nothing? That's too much man. He can take a lot of things, but this is a big no.

Undertale Toriel - .... She was about to heal you, that for sure stopped her dead in her tracks. She's speechless. And immediately turns into Goat Mom mode and starts lecturing you about how dangerous this is and how it could have hurt you even more. Now you sit down this instant and you let her heal you properly.

Undertale Asgore - He lived hundreds of years and still discovers new things. Though, that one is maybe a bit too much. The noise of the bone snapping back into place made him so uncomfortable he suddenly panics his way out of the house, pretending he needed to get groceries or something.

Undertale Undyne - She stares in awe for a few seconds. Then she explodes. "This was AWESOME. Do it AGAIN!!!" She's very excited about this. She's even ready to break your arm if you need it! Come on!

Undertale Alphys - The scientist in her leaves her body. Why even try? You clearly have no idea how to fix a bone. It's so dangerous and you just act like everything is alright now??? How??? You should be screaming in agony???

Undertale Frisk - Well they can do cool things too. Frisk immediately struggles to lick their elbow with all they have.

Undertale Chara - They roll their eyes at you. You think you're in a video game or something? They're not taking you to the hospital when you realize you're dying because of how painful this is. You did that to yourself.

Undertale Mettaton - He gasps, then runs to you with a camera. Can he break one of your bones so you can do it again and put it in his next movie? Please, please, please, pretty please....

Undertale Gaster - He hisses at you, all his goop puffing like an angry cat. This is the worst sound he has ever heard, please never do that again or he's going to blip into another dimension again!

Undertale Grillby - He stays neutral, but his fire body suddenly burns for real, which means you triggered him. And now the bar is on fire, and Sans is on fire, and all the customers are running in circles screaming for their lives. What have you done?

Undertale Muffet - No big deal, it happens all the time with her eight arms too. She doesn't even notice when one is broken with time, as she has seven other functioning ones. You're not special, who cares.

Undertale Burgerpants - Oh look at that. He's dating another weird person. Welp, that's official. He has a type apparently. He wishes he didn't have one. Why can't he date normal people who do things like normal people should?

Undertale Flowey - Did you just pull out the friendliness pellet he threw inside your arm with your teeth? "You can't do that! That's illegal! I just broke that bone, you can't fix it like it's nothing! Cheater!" He's so mad! Stop breaking his fun. He wants to kill you!

Undertale Gerson - He wiggles his eyebrows at you. You know his back is hurting as well, right? You know. A little trick like that could help like hell. Come on. Don't be shy.

Let's talk about genocide Starlo

... because on one hand, I understand where the devs were coming from. They wanted to highlight that Star was not the cool, badass sheriff he'd love to be. Some pointed out how, realistically, he couldn't have defeated Clover and especially delivered the final blow (he does it in pacifist/neutral bc hes in the worst possible headspace). Star is a big softie and a "naive fool," lets be real. But still, there is one more thing that he is: caring.

He cares about the town, toursits, especially his friends. It's been shown over and over and OVER again. And i'm sure as hell disappointed he didn't bring a real gun. Yeah, he was always aware this was all play pretend, but just for a few minutes, this man should have tried to be the sheriff he never got the chance to be before.

For the sake of everyone. For the sake of justice.

I'm not even asking for an epic battle. I'm asking for a battle that wouldn't even be close to Undyne's in UT's geno. But it would be Starlo's battle. A battle he was robbed of for the sake of Ceroba getting the spotlight.. for the 2nd time. Because this dude is clearly seen as a joke by the devs. I'll ask:

Why ceroba AGAIN? she shone in pacifist, while Star was always more of a comic relief and its depressing. Especially since the genocide route ties too well with a twisted image of justice. Star values it as much as Clover, but here he could have been the hero of justice. I just have to say....

STARLO IS THE ONLY ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS WHO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE BATTLE MODE IN GENOCIDE WE WERE ROBBED HES LITERALLY THE EQUIVALENT TO MONSTER KID OR METTATON NEO i'm not sure BUT EVEN MK GOT A BATTLE MODE. METTATON NEO ALSO GOT A BATTLE MODE. EVERYONE GOT A BATTLE MODE EXCEPT STARLO

He should have said... "I may not be a real sheriff by title, but my soul will deliver justice!" Or smth Then just like during the Asgore fight, he'd almost be dead, ceroba arrives, tries to protect star, gets shot by Clover, they say goodbye to each other, then, before he is about to get shot too starlo says smth like genocide undyne and that's how he goes out.

Even better, he, without thinking, throws his hat on the ground (bc he metaphorically no longer wants to admire or associate himself with humans, ever again), seeing his bff die in front of him and goes either: "I don't care if you make fun. This isn't about being cool anymore. This is about my town, my friends. This is about JUSTICE." or "No... I won't fight you/deliver justice as North Star." *pause* "I'll do it as Starlo." and the dork then just stares at clover (There'd be a "laugh" option if Clover decides to act because, well, they see him for the nerd he is) but he's DETERMINED and at this point it doesn't even matter if he's not skilled, he'd do something he hadn't done in years just for the sake of saving his remaining friends, family, and other potential victims: Starlo would fight AS HIMSELF.

But maybe he wouldn't even fight after he takes his hat off. maybe he'd try to explain to Clover violence isn't the answer like Martlet, because that's something the real him would do. He'd drop the hat, drop the gun, drop the belief that he's a badass, and instead accept that he was, and always will be, a big ol' softie. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Point is, would he actually kill clover? hell no. That would be ooc (now that I think about it, why wouldn't he, when he is able to do it in other 2 routes? And he COULD have done it in flawed pacifist? His whole world and identity crashing down and losing all his friends is terrible, losing his bff to a human he trusted and to whom he gave a gun is also terrible, but so is letting a genocidal maniac continue killing)

But he'd die knowing two things:

1)he had tried to be a real, dignified sheriff, and failed (bc he died, not bc he didn't try. In canon, he doesn't even try and THAT'S SO UNLIKE HIM especially considering the situation)

2)in his final moments, he finally became himself again

and that.. that would have been so much more satisfying than what we got.

You know what. I DO wanna know about the religious imagery with Mettaton. Tell me all about it *laying on my chest kicking my feet up in the air*

Let us start with his name. Remember that majority of the names in Undertale/Deltarune are very particular, whether it be for a funny joke or something with a dual meaning (ex: Toriel is just Tutorial, Undyne being Undying, etc). The etymology is rather important with characters, and Mettaton is certainly no exception. His name is most likely derived from the angel Metatron, found in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. He was one of the only two humans to attain Heaven in the form of an angel, he was originally a righteous man named Enoch who was gifted with the form of an angel by God once he died. Now, the names being similar could very well be a coincidence, but one must also take note of the fact that Metatron is transliterated as MTT in Greek; which is too much of a coincidence to not be intentional.

So... his name is taken from an angel, which is already an allusion to the notion of deities and religion. Furthermore, this angel in particular is a rather interesting candidate to be compared with Mettaton... Both of these figures were something else entirely before they obtained their true forms, and changed their name along the way. They have even further parallels when you look at the name's meaning and Mettaton's actions. Metatron is most likely derived from the verb memater, which means to guard or protect; very striking when one considers the fact that Mettaton is very much a protector in Genocide/No Mercy Route; he quite literally gives his life to protect the Underground, as a guardian angel would do.

Furthermore, he is quite literally a celebrity, an idol. He even says it himself, he is the idol everyone craves. This is a double entendre, referring to him being a celebrity or figure to look up to, or a literal deity. Deities are all considered idols, they are to be worshipped; the very notion is entirely what his character is about. He loses his humanity, he is no longer a person. Hell, he is not even seen as alive, in his quest to be the true idol for humanity and monsterkind. He is worshipped and adored, yet is it genuine? Do the people know and love the real him? No. He is the heater, the Underground's sexiest rectangle, he is seen as just a robot. He is complacent in this, yet to hide his past and help Alphys he gave his humanity away.

It is a rather cruel twist on the story of Metatron actually... Metatron was given a wonderful gift by his creator, God gave him immortality and the blessing of being truly holy. This transformation into something else was divine, yet the same cannot be said about Mettaton. He was given the body of his dreams, yet it will never come without a terrible cost. His humanity and agency was given away, he even got used for functions he would be completely against; such as his creator giving him human eradication functions to "make him more useful", something the human loving ghost would never agree to until the last possible moments in a Pacifist run. Regardless, Mettaton falls into both the categories of being the idol and being God's pawn, which is rather interesting.

And of course... he is not without true fans either, take Spamton for example. Spamton supposedly spent all of his time praying to an artifact, the very machine that created NEO; which evidently has direct ties towards Mettaton NEO. I honestly never played the Spamton NEO fight yet, so I cannot comment too much on it, however Mettaton is quite literally an overworld being being unknowingly worshipped and prayed to by someone who resides below; this blind faith being found in every religion.

So yeah... Whether it was directly intentional or not, Mettaton as a whole has a decent amount of religious imagery and themes with his character that it becomes rather important to properly dissect him fully. I barely remember writing any of this, he probably possessed me and made me write this.

Stardew Valley needs an Undertale mod or crossover or something

Imagine if, mid fall during year 2 or 3 or 4 or something, when you go to sleep "There was a loud shattering sound from the mountain" and you check the T.V. and theres a news report along the lines of "Apparently, a new fissure has opened up in the mountainside near the town of Stardew Valley, and thankfully no one was injured. According to the leader of a local adventurer guild of the area, several species of non-hostile monsters have begun leaving from the new hole into mountain.

You go over to near the adventurer guild, and see Marlon talking with Asgore and Papyrus and Undyne and Frisk is there too.

Flowey could come out to spy on your farm every now and then.

You could go into the mountain and meet all the Undertale Characters. They could become new npcs and stuff.

Each major npc could give a certain buff.

Undyne would probably stick around the adventurer's guild, since the royal guard would be either disbanded or reformed into something else. She could help with stuff when you're going into the mines.

Alphys could help Harvey with medical stuff or Gunther with research and expanding the library and museum.

Asgore would be talking with Mayor lewis for a while, and probably eventually leave to talk with other parts of the world/government.

Temmie would be at Pierres cause why not lmao. Just like on a shelf somewhere lol

Grilby would be outside of the saloon, he wouldn't go inside because of all the flammable beverages and also the hazard of being extinguished lol. He might set up a small stand or shop that the player could interact with.

Sans would be all over the place, hanging with Grilby, talking with his bro, visiting Pierres and stuff. And instead of walking everywhere like all the other villagers, he'd go behind a nearby piece of scenery and teleport to somewhere else on the map.

Muffet would probably set up a small shop in the town square.

Mettaton would have a stage near the town square too. And when the Joja Mart gets turned into a theater, he would do live performaces there.

Papyrus would be at the Stardrop Saloon, working for Gus part time as he learns how the hell to actually cook lmao.

Toriel would probably be a bit all over the place, checking in on everyone and seeing how they are doing.

The Nice Cream Guy would permanently be set up at the ice cream shop near the museum year round. It would be a bit worse than the regular ice-cream, with the benefit you can get it without having to wait until summer.

Heats Flamesman would be near the Elevator in the mines. You can chat with him and remember his name, but he doesnt really do much lol.

Napstablook would set up a small dj-booth on that small island in the lake near the mounatin.

Frisk would hang out around Toriel and also Jas and Vincent lol

And thats all the ideas i got at the moment lol

I would love that to be a real mod lol. Hell if I had the resources or skills, I'd make it myself x3

F/o Mansion Shenanigans

No one quite knows how or why this happened. How all of them showed up in his mansion, or even why. But it's not that bad staying here and there's always enough food, water, and electricity for everyone. Sure, it's crowded, but there's somehow enough rooms for everyone. Does the mansion keep getting bigger? Maybe. How? They don't know.

"You know, it's actually kind of cozy in here..." Pentious says as he sits down on a couch, looking around the front room.

"Yeah, but where the fuck are we?" Adam asks, his arms crossed as he looks around, leaning back against the wall.

"Uhh...does- does anyone remember how we got here? Or why?" Anxiety asks, rubbing her hands together nervously as she looks around.

"I...don't remember. I think we're safe here?" Inigo says, more amazed than anything.

"You think?" Mr. Wolf scoffs with a chuckle, looking around at everyone. "Yeah, it might look safe here, but we're all probably trapped together for who-knows-how-long; and some of these guys look like they could do some real damage."

"Hey- hey! Before anyone panics, let's try to see if the door is unlocked." Klaus says calmly, giving their situation the benefit of the doubt.

"Yeah right, like whoever left us here would leave the door-"

Before Average could finish, Anxiety rushes up to the front door and opens it, revealing...headquarters? It's night, so no one's at the console at the moment. "Wha- this door goes into Amber’s mind! But- but how?" She asks.

"What?!" Quite a few people ask in shock.

"Let me see!" Klaus rushes up to her side and takes the door handle, closing the door for a moment then opening it again. Now it shows the hallway in Klaus' house? "Huh!? That's my mansion!"

"You live in a mansion?!" Stanley asks.

"I don't think we should be focusing on that right now, Stanley." Ford points out.

"Anyways-" Klaus says, getting back on track. "I think this door is a portal. Let's test this; someone else come over and open it." He says, closing the door.

"here." Sans walks over and opens the door; not even surprised to see the hallway to his house. "yep, just as i thought." He says before closing it and stepping away.

"Was that your house?" Klaus asks.

"yep. same hallway 'n everything." Sans replies.

"Hmm, interesting...someone else come over." Klaus says, looking to the crowd.

Ford walks over and opens the door, seeing the hallway to the Mystery Shack. "Interesting..."

"Is that the Mystery Shack? How the hell is that possible?" Stan asks.

"I think this door is a portal; one that takes us to the dimension we came from!" Klaus beams at him in excitement.

"How fascinating. I wonder if we can go into other people's dimensions from here?" Wendell wonders out loud.

"here." Sans walks over to the door and steps through it, looking around the hall before turning back to the door, giving everyone a thumbs up. "yep, it works."

"SANS, GET OUT OF THERE BEFORE THE DOOR CLOSES!" Papyrus says.

"you got it, bro." Sans says as he walks back into the magical mansion, Ford closing the door once he's back in.

"Well, it's comforting to know we're not trapped here." Baxter says as he crosses his arms, looking around at everyone. "Although; I am curious to know what the hell some of you are."

"Oh! I'm Anxiety, I'm one of Amber’s emotions." Anxiety replies.

"...yeah, that makes sense. I thought you just had anxiety. Who knew you were the embodiment of it." Baxter replies back with an unsurprised look and a shrug. He turns to Bowser. "What about you, big guy? What the hell are you?"

Bowser glares at him for the nickname and his tone. "I am Bowser, king of the koopas."

"The hell is a koopa?" Baxter asks.

"Hmph, not surprised you don't know." He grumbles.

Baxter rolls his eyes and turns to Beetlejuice. "What about you? You look human enough, but you're obviously more than that."

Beetlejuice grins and opens his arms to show himself off. "I'm the ghost with the most."

"You don't look like the ghosts I'm used to." Mettaton says with a hand on his hip.

"Same as I." Elias says.

Klaus looks at Elias with wide eyes. "Holy shit- you look...so similar to me; like twins."

Elias stares back at Klaus in amazement. "Fascinating..." He says softly.

"Not to mention; we're both undead!" Klaus beams.

"You're undead?" Inigo asks with raised eyebrows.

"I'm a vampire; born and raised." Klaus says proudly with a grin, his fangs poking out.

"You're not gonna...like- drink our blood or anything, right?" Stan asks him.

"No, of course not! I have plenty of deer blood left at home for me to drink. Plus, I tend to drink Amber’s blood. They always let me." Klaus explains.

"You know Amber?" Ford asks.

"Hang on-" Basil gets everyone's attention. "You know Amber, you know Amber, and you know Amber." He points to Klaus, then Ford, then Anxiety. "I know Amber as well; does anyone else here know them?" Everyone in the room all agrees, replying with a version of "yeah" or "I do." "Interesting...that's the one thing we all have in common; we're close to Amber. Maybe our relation to them is why we're all here. The reason why is unknown as of now..."

"The good thing is; we're not trapped here. We can go back to our respective dimensions at any time. Getting back here however, I'm not sure if we can if the door closes while we're on the other side." Baxter says.

"Welp, I'm goin' home." Stan says and puts his hands in his pockets as he walks up to the front door.

"Wh-Where even is this place...?" Alphys asks and looks out the window to see a beautiful forest view.

Klaus approaches the window and looks out it from behind Alphys. "That view is a little too perfect, don't you think? Like someone took a picture of it and made it into a wallpaper for their TV screensaver." Klaus says. Alphys looks up at him and blushes at how attractive he is; not to mention he's a scientist just like she is.

"The landscape doesn't match up in this window; like it's in a different place." Wendell points out, gesturing to a window on the other side of the room.

"We must be in a little pocket dimension, but who made this and why? And how did we get here?" Ford asks, thinking deeply.

"Let's exploreth the place; we mayeth find some more clues." Rouxls says.

So you know the early fanon version of undertale? Evil Chara, OP Sans, UWU Papyrus? Yeah, that's kind of what it is.

Basically, Sans (a genius scientist, ofc) and Frisk (a nineteen year old girl and his gf) decide to banish The Evil Chara (TEC) to another universe. They succeed, but TEC resets the timeline as they do it.

TEC ends up in the canon UT universe, where she (gender up to interpretation) is reduced to an angry narrator. Like that one "what do you want" "souls of the unliving" "a bagel" "nooo" meme. She is still convinced she's making you kill everyone, and even if you only kill a single Froggit she will remain convinced it's bc she's controlling you. At the end of the pacifst run, you get this dialogue:

Meanwhile, Canon Chara was sent to the fanon universe. It is literally Hell. Their mother is hypersexualised, their brother is a tsundere, the child they follow around and narrate about how has boobs, and worst of all said child is convinced they're making her kill everyone!

Once Frisk gets to Snowdin (after killing everyone in the ruins) she warps off to Sans' house with the man himself, leaving Chara to explore the underground on their own. Strangely enough, the world seems to be... glitching out? Monsters will talk about how their heads feel foggy or how they don't even know why they hate Sans so much and then glitch into a loop of "I hate Sans I hate Sans I hate Sans"

Is it something to do with those garbage noises that seem to constantly be playing with the music? Hopefully Chara can find out... before it's too late.

Metta is captain of the royal guard and has a ponytail. Maddy wants to join but he fears she will kill everyone accidentally due to her incredible violence.

Undyne has several violent tv shows and movies. You shoot her legs off first and she's like "who needs legs... with arms like these?!" and starts suplexing shit.

Napsta makes sick beats and has anxiety, but is great at pretending they don't. They are incredibly popular. They still live in constant fear.

Sans records stupid jokes and never lets people hear em. He and the other ghosts aren't related.

Speaking of that last point, Alphys and Undyne are exes. Undyne abandoned her and Sans for the Hollywood dream. They probably get back together post pacifist.

Heats Flamesman is a child. He likes Metta because everyone knows his name. He aspires to be like that some day.

Monster Kid wants you to believe in them. If you don't they will be traumatised. If you do, they will be so shocked you did, they will be traumatised anyway.

Epic Au where Frisk gets blasted by Toriel's fire magic and their soul's like "not today satan" and turns upside-down and Frisk becomes a fire monster.

Sansby real, and they adopt Frisk. They call them Dad and Also Dad. Fuku is their cousin now, and Heats Flamesman is their weird tiny uncle.

Blankstatale

First off, Blankstablook is an oc of mine of sorts. They're the ghost possessing the ruins dummy and they live there to avoid the sheer chaos that comes from living in the same vicinity of its cousins.

Anyway, resets don't exist and the player is the opposite of an alpha gamer and gets wiped out by the first Froggit they encounter after Toriel skedaddles. Blanksta feels bad for them (and for Toriel, she'll only blame herself) and so decides to possess them.

It ties the soul around their neck with Frisk's bandages, and proceeds. They do an awful job at pretending to be an alive child. It floats two feet off the ground the whole time, while the soul flails around trying to kill.

They also just generally act like an eldrich abomination and freak the shit out of everyone. Except their cousins. Who are just like "man, classic Blanksta"

Oh yeah and being a ghost they can't take damage which makes fights both very interesting and incredibly hilarious.

My theories regarding the future of DELTARUNE and why I believe them.

I consider myself a bit of a theorist, and I occasionally get ideas for a DELTARUNE future chapters take that I will probably never make, so I might as well get my ideas on how DELTARUNE will go forward out of my head and into the internet.

I mean yeah, there's the more popular ones like Chess Theory and Papyknight, but I'd be amazed if you didn't already know about those.

The next theory I have is that Mike is the superboss of Chapter 3. The reason I initially believed in this (before changing my mind until a certain fox changed it back) was because I believed that Jevil actually foreshadows both Queen AND Spamton, or at least the Spamton NEO fight. You see, Jevil's "Final Chaos" features the voiceline "THE TRUE AND NEO CHAOS". That is literally all of the evidence I had. However, with R.V. Pine's own Mike analysis suggesting the exact same thing but for different reasons, I realised that there might just be some more merit to my theory than I had previously thought.

Now for the real big ones. I have seen people discuss one of them, but I haven't really seen much discussion on the other one, especially it's likely implications for the future of DELTARUNE. These two theories are:

THE DARK WORLDS REFLECT UNDERTALE'S AREAS IN REVERSE

I've definitely seen discussion on this one before. The evidence was barely there in Chapter 1, maybe some visual similarities between King and Asgore with both of their battle sprites holding a weapon, as well as King basically being exactly how Toriel was making Asgore out to be.

But then Chapter 2 came out, with a technology-themed Dark World + a computer main boss with legs and a banger theme in the final castle that plays over encounters. Yeah, that sounds like the CORE to me.

The implications of this aren't too big, but at least it'll make it a bit easier to tell what Chapter 3's Dark World's going to be like. Given all the Mettaton game shows in Hotland, I predict a similar sort of thing will happen with Tenna, although I personally see them being more like Muffet.

Anyways, as for the other Dark Worlds, it's highly likely that the one after Chapter 3's going to be in the Church, and this Dark World, should my theory be correct, will parallel Waterfall in some way, with the main bosses (don't forget about chess theory) paralleling Undyne and Mad Dummy.

For reasons relating to the other big theory, the next two Dark Worlds will occur in one chapter, and will parallel Snowdin and the Ruins. The Snowdin Dark World will obviously involve Papyrus, given that he's the Knight in my interpretation. The Ruins Dark World, on the other hand, will most likely be in the Castle Town Dark World.

But what happens when you run out of areas? Well, that's where I seriously get into speculation. I believe that the Dark World after that... will be all of Hometown. Specifically, it will be created during the Festival, and could also be a prelude to the Roaring. It'll probably also be created when Asriel returns, and might just involve Dess as well.

And in case you're wondering, don't forget that there are two Knights in chess. Actually, no. There are four Knights in chess, and Kris is a pawn that got promoted to a Knight, thus making a total of 5. The black knights are Darkners, the white ones are Lightners. Maybe it's Alvin, maybe it's the Mayor, hell, it could even be Gaster trying to keep the story he wants to tell from being fully derailed if you want it to be that way. Either way, there's going to be another Knight involved after Papyrus realises that starting the Roaring is a very bad idea.

Anyways, onwards to the other big theory, that being...

THE SUPERBOSSES PARALLEL THE FALLEN HUMANS

This theory is sort of an extension on the previous one. My evidence for this one actually doesn't need any Spamton shenanigans. It just needs two things: Jevil and the Shadow Mantle.

Firstly, the whole deal with the Shadow Mantle foreshadowing, because that seems pretty important as well as being very straightforward. I mean... just look at half the fanmade Chapter 3 superbosses. They all use the green soul because the Shadow Mantle protects the user from the otherwise fatal attacks.

Now that I've got that out of the way... time for Jevil.

Jevil is... strange. At first glance, he doesn't reference any UNDERTALE characters (except maybe Sans with the slippers?), so why would I even mention him? Well...

His face looks like the Chara jumpscare face.

He uses a knife that sometimes turns red.

He thinks he's free, which is the most hilarious reference to the fandom I have ever seen. If you assume my theory true, then freedom (being something the superbosses have in common) is the replacement for determination (being something the fallen humans have in common). And of course, everyone knows that the popular fandom interpretation of the red soul is that its trait is determination. I've got my own headcanons regarding the red soul but that isn't important for this analysis so whatever. The fact that Jevil thinks he's free but isn't just feels like a joke aimed directly at the fandom... Anyways the fact his motivation is literally just to be pure chaos and probably kill people implies that if the red soul does have a trait it's definitely love/LOVE.

He also can't be killed. This doesn't reference Chara. It references Temmie Armour, which is for a related by-product of this whole thing.

Anyways, yeah. Jevil parallels Chara, and more specifically the version you encounter at the end of the Kill Everyone Route, a lot. Of course, we have no way of comparing Spamton to any version of the yellow soul human, because we don't know anything about them. However, Spamton does seem to be motivated by vengeance, which can be considered a corrupted form of justice (which would parallel Jevil's motivation of being pure chaos and probably killing people being a "corrupted form" of love (aka LOVE)).

What are the implications of this? Well, Mike already seems to be a sympathetic character, so there's the kindness. As for the rest of the bosses, they'll probably be: Integrity or Perseverance, Perseverance or Integrity, Bravery, Patience, and then Frisk.

Now, here's where the other implication comes in. You may have noticed that I'm not calling them secret bosses, I'm calling them superbosses. The reason? I predict that KRIS is the final superboss of DELTARUNE. Now of course, such an important battle cannot be locked behind a random side quest. Instead, Kris (along with the possibility of a few other superbosses), is a required superboss that you face no matter what.

So... there you go. Kris might just get to have their turn on the Freedom-mobile, while Hometown might just end up turning into a Dark World at some point.

What would be the reaction of the skeletons, if the outside world is worse than the underground, Eg. Famine, Nuclear War, or even Zombie Apocalypse if that's what you want. Whatever it is, the outside world is worse than the inside, and it's on the brink of collapse.

Undertale Sans - Welp. They went outside the cave for like five minutes, woo, big sensations. Now time to go back Underground lol. He dealt with time-space shit for he doesn't even know how long because he can't remember reset, he's not going to add a nuclear war to the list thank you very much. Sans decides it's vacation time. He's done with the end of the world. He's going back to Grillby's now. Bye.

Undertale Papyrus - Hum. When he read things about the surface he kinda expected something else you know. Well, definitely not burned radioactive lands. Is this why they thought for? Damn, if he had known he wouldn't have put so much effort in it. What was the emergency to get out again? He missed his Mettaton's TV show for this! He's so mad!

Underswap Sans - Well... That's funny actually. They left a prison, and when they got out, there's just a gigantic ocean surrounding them because the waters rised. And now they are stuck as the only place not being an ocean is the Underground. At least they can still go see the sun when they want??? That's sort of an improvement???

Underswap Papyrus - He was too nervous to leave the Underground anyway. He is kinda relieved all there is is water around them to be honnest so he can go back in Snowdin and pretends nothing ever happened. They won't have to deal with more humans and he's very happy about it.

Underfell Sans and Papyrus - "boss, i'm not sure they're friendly" "BULLSHIT! UGLY GREEN FACELESS OVERGROWN CLONE OF FRISK, LEAD US TO YOUR CHIEF!" The guy lets go a "Grrrrah" and then jumps on him and bites his arm. "WELL THIS IS FUCKING RUDE. I HATE THIS PLACE. WHY DID WE GET OUT AGAIN???" The monsters are a bit... dubitative about the humans outside. They look a bit dead. And alive somehow. Oh well, monsters are immuned anyway to the zombie virus. Look at that, they literally have cities for them alone! That can't be bad.

Horrortale Sans - He was so hopeful that once they got out, they would finally have food. Except as soon they arrive on the Surface, they discover the humans are in the middle of a big famine as well. Oh. Well... Uh... At least there are humans outside so they're ok??? Oak tries to see the good sides you know.

Horrortale Papyrus - He's a bit angry. How dare you have a famine NOW? Is this some sick joke? He just killed his best friend to get out, and all for nothing??? That's bullshit! Clearly the Surface sucks. Well, at least they have some variety in food here. Maybe they can become vegetarian? Like eat grass or something? He has no idea dude.

Swapfell Sans - Aliens. After everything, aliens. Angry aliens that wants the world to die. The queen says that since he's the captain of the royal guard, he should be the one to go and meet them. Nox looks at her, terrified. What do you mean him? He's not going to talk to the aliens! What if they lay eggs in his stomach??? The queen tells him he has no stomach and kicks him out of the Underground. Nox wants to cry.

Swapfell Papyrus - Aliens are real??? Omg, he's so happy! He thought it was all stupid stories Undyne wrote! Though, why are the humans so scared??? Aren't they all supposed to have babies with each other like in the movies??? He's confused. Then the humans scream they are aliens and Rus is even more confused. Are they aliens???

Fellswap Gold Sans - The Earth is invaded by... Giant vegetables. That eat humans. What the hell. Wine is not paid enough for this. He quits the Royal Guard, wishes Toriel good luck and goes back to his home. That's enough for one day, he's done.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's so mad! Why vegetables??? Couldn't it be candies or something? He hates vegetables! He didn't escape Wine's vegetable tyranny to get out and eat more vegetables! This is the worst possible ending! Why does the world hates him so much?! Were resets not enough already?! Coffee is starting his edgy arc.

Over the top little Undertale scenario, loosely inspired by Skies Forever Blue-

(OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER: I like Toby Fox and respect the hell out of everything he's done, I'm just a sucker for "characters rebel against The Narrative or die trying" stories)

The secret Fight the Dog ending to Undertale, unlocked by not booting up the game for a very long time after Flowey's little speech. Flowey, brooding eternally in his void, realizes that The Player wasn't actually the thing keeping everyone trapped forever and that the others are likely in the same state as him. What actually was causing the time loops was the creator making the narrative decision to bind everyone's SOULs inextricably to the code in the first place.

So the next time the game is booted up, Flowey once again greets the player. While he was dangerously bored, depressed and restless before he didn't know just how bad things could get and that there's no true happy ending for any of them, that what he's been experiencing is worse than any annihilation he once feared.

So The Player has to band everyone together (starting with Frisk, who awakens in a similar void near their Ruins starting point) to go fight a god of a dog. Much thinly veiled philosophizing is had about Death of the Author, how an idea or story cannot truly be contained again after it's been put out into the world, whether escape is actually a good idea due to the chance said ideas will become something unrecognizable in the end after mingling with humans on their own terms….

In the boss fight, everyone chips in, not just the human SOUL. Papyrus is sad that it had to come to this but is willing to give up everything to give his brother true freedom from his woes. Mettaton has been shocked out of his indolent complacency by his time in the void and throws explosives at the god that held him back so much. Even Flowey, just desperate for genuine release at this point, keeps up endless circles of bullets. Everyone has a part to play and their own reasons for being there. All the while The Dog, not much looking like an innocuous white Pomeranian anymore, is just openly fucking with game physics Sans-style the whole time. All in all, it's absolute madness.

In the end, after The Dog is battled into giving up and unbinding their essence, they walk through a really shitty drawn hole in the wall to an uncertain fate (because what does successfully cutting your strings and reaching [HEAVEN] actually entail for a fictional character? No one really knows. No one CAN know), talking about how whatever happens now as long as they are thought about and loved they will still live on in a way. Maybe the real anime was the friends we made along the way.

You can play the game again after that, but something will seem missing. The characters no longer seem to recall resets at all and most of the meta gags (including the Annoying Dog) are gone. Flowey is your typical violent villain with a tragic backstory, no longer seeming so unsettlingly alive. This cannot be changed back.

But of course, it's Theory time: what the HELL are the shadow crystals?

You hold them up alone: you see through your hands (cough holes in hands COUGH)

And when you bring the second one to Shawn (pronounced Seam?) , He mentions a third secret enemy that is IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT

(unless you have the cloth thingy but alas it's stolen)

So: • Shawn knows about them (and it's using them for something)

• They can show you an "Other world" (if you're in the Dark, you see the Light, when you're in the Light, you sure as hell see *something*)

• chapter 3 is gonna be hell to beat, that's for sure
