This one sleep deprived idiot came to me on DMs with this screenshot
Tumblr media
Having done this stuff for years I knew right away those colours are in BGR, hex values in increments of 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once translated, it came up like this, the second one I used the "gold" and "red" colours at the bottom.
First thing I noticed is that the order is backwards compared to the games, so I flipped the image vertically and made a comparison gif
Tumblr media
(don't mind the brightness change, different programs preview colours differently)
Observations:
The "gold tone" remained in place green tone was redone to flow better rather than have this awkward aqua tone. it was also moved to the other palette line.
Line 3 was redone dramatically likely to account for the palette cycling, hence the chaotic nature.
Enemy palette received a green set and a red colour, the olive colour remained, index F remains unused.
The pink/magenta tone is gone, replaced by orange and red.
The notes mention a blue grey which is what was added to the background palette.
It mentions "B-Scroll" at the top but most of that line was used on the foreground, not background.
...dude says he's sick of looking at Pokémon stuff yet doesn't respect it when I say I'm sick of Sonic stuff.
Tumblr media
This small part did catch my attention however, seems there was some plan to use Shadow and Highlight mode at some point.
For those unaware, Shadow and Highlight mode allows for stuff like this:

QUICK EDIT : comparison between beta and final palette:

AI Prompt: Write an entry in Dr. Eggman’s diary about Metropolis Zone.
Dear diary,
Today, I had the misfortune of visiting the Metropolis Zone. Ugh, I don't know what I was thinking when I built this place, but I must have been going through a phase for conveyor belts and spikes.
Everywhere I turned, I was either getting flattened by a massive crushing device or impaled by spikes. It was like the zone was actively trying to kill me, and I'm the one who built it!
I couldn't help but think that maybe I should have spent a little more time thinking about the safety of my own creations. I mean, I'm all for challenging levels, but this was just ridiculous.
But in the end, I suppose it was all worth it. I managed to catch Sonic and his friends off guard and nearly defeat them, thanks to my clever use of conveyor belts and traps. Plus, I got a good laugh watching them try to navigate through the chaos.
Maybe I'll tone it down a bit in my next zone, though. I wouldn't want to give Sonic and his friends too much of an advantage.
Yours truly,
Dr. Eggman

A family visit
Alfred has been granted (Force) by the bats a week off, and whatever way would he do in a week?, visit his Father of course!
Alfred didn't really have a word into this, he only just been given (forced) a week off, he reason with the family ( it always works) but to his surprised! None of it came through there heads! ( Somehow they got lucky from Alfred's reasonable scolding)
What about the manor? Who would care of it? Who would assist? What will happen if-
How many times he reason and tried to budge it in there minds, none of it work?
Alfred is in horror, so the only thing he can only do is accept, remind them what's not do and do, (every single details) or atleast the common things to do, which he thinks they can handle it- if not, if he sees the house in shambles or in the news, he can now have a reason to not always take a weeks off.
In Alfred's room, he was packing some pairs of clothes, a coat, a medical kit, pairs of shoes, a book, his dark shawl that is covered with a lots of constellation's from his papa's gifts, (he always take good care of it when he left on his own, he couldn't leave his shawl even in the time of his work,) and whatever he needs.
He decided to visit and have his week's off to his papa's, it's been quite a long time ( maybe 60 years or so-)
It's not like he was an absent son, he was just busy, he would occasionally send letters or his baked cookie's ( he's own recipe but still came from papa's original treats).
The Batfam does know Alfred had a dad who's still alive?( Which the kids would joke about how his dad is immortal) outside his life here in Gotham as the only staff in the Wayne manor.
While they were chilling in the living room, they could see Alfred heading towards the door, before he stop and took out a letter, and as he did a ring in the bell could be heard, Alfred open the door, and greeted..
The mailman? ( A very hardworking ghost mailman, just saying “Jolly ho!- how may I help send! Deliver, or even package international!” which Alfred replying “International please, for in this ### #### ## address, I need it quickly delivered through his doorsteps” then the Mailman just nodded, Alfred payed him and he just disappeared)
And Alfred sighs in relief and went to get his luggage, and bid the Batfam goodbye without even explaining what was happening (Bruce dropped his newspaper)
They might had ideas Alfred wasn't human or normal, but after that bombshell, they just can't stop the urge to find out ( like the usual thing the Batfam does, but only minimal like just knowing where he went and they wanted to have Alfred privacy)
Alfred was on his way to his papa's home very much missing the feeling of home in Britain now it's been quite a long time almost but he's getting second thoughts, what would his papa think?
( and yes, hes dad was wealthy, and through family too, He lived in a manor too,
which was a very old money manor, cause Danny? he's literally the ghost king)
Alfred decided he got this, so he took a step and took a deep breath In the front door of the home he loved and cared for in his childhood, knocking three times and the only thing he imagined is that his papa would give him a big warm hug like old times when Alfred would visit once a while before he truly left home.
The bats were in disguise, well partially disguise, the british neighbors nearby can see them looking at them like there were weird (stalking is not a healthy way...sometimes) And how can they even see them?! There literally in a camouflage!!
They saw how Alfred took a step, and knock three times...the door open and there they saw- a kid? Wait what? The black haired and blue teenager might be 16 who looks like could be adoption bait look surprised and happy and he give Alfred a hug, and Alfie just return the gesture, they were having a conversation, they couldn't here it because they were out of range and no hearing gadgets ( damn it Bruce)
Then Alfred and the teen went back to the house, and the door could only shut blocking there view of Alfred and the teen.

So @captainlordauditor had this in their response to a different post and mention of Marv Wolfman has triggered me. Because I was just thinking about how serial fiction works and how if you're working with serial fiction (comic books, soap operas, movie franchises) one of the things you need to remember is DON'T BREAK THE PLAYGROUND.
Example: In the DC universe (the DC universe of your imagination, not the official DCU of whatever some executive considers canon this week) Metropolis and Gotham are both considered stand-ins for New York City. They feel different, but they're both stories about life in a big US city. This works fine as long as you don't have an actual NYC in your DC universe. Do you prefer to imagine Metropolis as New York? There are a couple of easy places to put Gotham where it's close enough to visit but not so close that you wonder why Superman doesn't take fifteen minutes to clean up Gotham's streets. Want to imagine Gotham in the place of New York? Again, you can imagine Metropolis as close by but not so close that Bruce Wayne could just drive by and kick Lex Luthor in the nuts.
DAILY PLANET ONLINE EDITION HEARTWARMING: WORLD'S ONLY BELOVED BILLIONAIRE TURNS GLOBALLY HATED ASSHOLE INTO SOPRANO
But then Marv Wolfman drops actual real NYC into the DC Official Canon, and now Metropolis and Gotham can't be New York. New York exists. You can't imagine Metropolis as New York even though the writers and artists blatantly intended it to be so (Aerial shots of Metropolis used to straight up copies of the NYC skyline minus a couple of specific buildings). It has to fit into a much more limited space. Same with Gotham. Suddenly you have two fictional cities that are supposed to have populations in the millions that need to fit somewhere around a similarly large real city. It limits the fictional universe and raises questions that don't really help the story.
It also means that Clark Kent could plausibly take an hour to drive to NYC, interview the Titans, and drive back in time for an afternoon meeting with Perry White. Why doesn't Superman fly in and beat the crap out of Deathstroke for annoying Nightwing, Supe's favourite nephew? Batman can take his plane and fly to New York in fifteen minutes. Shouldn't Wayne Enterprises have offices in Manhattan?
Throwing New York into DC didn't add anything new, or solve any story problems. Gotham and Metropolis had all the New York the stories needed. But it limited where readers could imagine their versions of Metropolis or Gotham to be. Marv Wolfman subtracted from the possibilities of the DC universe. And a lot of his writing did that, taking away possibilities that other writers could have used. Crisis On Infinite Earths was rampant vandalism of the entire playground, not just one playset.
And then there's the whole Tara Markov debacle.

one aspect that i’m actually really glad is seemingly being touched upon more recently is the fleshing out of the other settings in the super mythos. maybe it’s cuz i’m a fan of D’nD and One Piece but i don’t like whenever stories tend to keep Superman stuck to Metropolis. it feels reductive in a way. don’t get me wrong, the city is a staple of the character, it’s where his supporting cast and the majority of his villains are. And it could even be much cooler if they took inspo from the Metropolis you’ve pitched in the past. But if we’re talking about THE Man of Action, i wanna see that guy going everywhere! i wanna see him going off to Warworld and fighting Mongul or getting beamed up into Brainiac’s Skullship or fighting Xa-Du in the Phantom Zone or teaming up with the New Gods to fight on New Genesis and Apokolips and Bizarro World, and so on and so forth. the fact the movies have only kept him in cityscapes have been a disservice if you ask me
Always want to see Metropolis get fleshed out more, but having other settings for Superman stories is a benefit. More should be done to tie those settings to Metropolis somehow, if for no other reason than to spice Metropolis itself up as the city full of weird shit. Stuff like Intergang working for Darkseid or Steelworks using Warworld tech to provide clean energy, I'm a fan of that. If memory serves me right, the Superman 2000 pitch had Bizarro be his world's ambassador to Earth, with the embassy in Metropolis which is a concept I loved. For the Phantom Zone, I've had the idea that Stryker's Island should extend into the Zone somehow. Maybe there's another section of the prison that gets placed there, to house the real powerhouses, and connected to the Earth section via portals? For the 5D, my pitch would be that there are areas in Metropolis that are "attuned" to the imps from there, and historically people tended to build houses dedicated to arts or religion on those spots because that was where the imps would occasionally "bless" people with visions.

Try it, I fuckin' dare you
If you're not lording the fact that you beat her high score at her favorite game over her, are you even dating?
Find what your partner loves and beat them at it, and be a total asshole about it the whole time. That's how you win at the relationship.

The above are concepts classified according to subject and usage. It not only helps writers and thinkers to organize their ideas but leads them from those very ideas to the words that can best express them.
It was, in part, created to turn an idea into a specific word. By linking together the main entries that share similar concepts, the index makes possible creative semantic connections between words in our language, stimulating thought and broadening vocabulary.
