Summer brought Lancelot back to Arthur. He was different now, a creature of shadows. But as long as he was at Arthur’s side, it didn’t matter. The way sunlight weakened him and his eyes shone in the darkness, the way his teeth were sharp and he always smelled of blood— It didn’t matter. Because summer also brought back Morgana’s war. With the threat of bloodshed looming over the horizon, trouble inside his court, and a traitor still on the loose, Arthur couldn’t let himself be distracted by his feelings for Lancelot. Feelings that would never be reciprocated anyway, because beside Lancelot, Merlin was there.

i love the parallels i'm making with my merthur fanfic, though. the prolog will make sense as the fanfic goes on. but considering is fantasy, it might take me up to a year to finish. if i'm lucky. fantasy genre usually are long books. and that means around 40-70 chapters before its done with 1-4k chapters, depending on pacing.

I think I die laughing a little. There is this new fantasy show that is preparing for shooting in my country and when I was looking for the characters I saw one of the male character would be named Mertur.. :D :D. Why do I feel like somebody was a fan of certain ship? :D

I honestly don't understand why people keep saying: "forgot that mertur is not canon", "in the series they are not canonically in love" when the creator himself says that they filmed the series as a love story between two men like how much more canonical could it be? This is literally the narrative. Even without that comment, it was clear that they loved each other and shared strong feelings. Now, I don't understand why some people still say that they were written by writers, like something else, that two men in love with each other. Or did they have to kiss or sleep together to be considered canon?

When Thasmin, Thasmin, a DOCTOR WHO LESBIAN SHIP, that was not planned, didn't have a huuuge following, (I mean compared to DickKory or even any other DW ship, look, Thasmin got me calling myself a silly delulu 🤣 that's much I thought it would happen AND THEN IT DID) that was never ever eeever meant to be was treated with waaay more respect than DickKory we know things are dire, we know things are the fucking worst
