Again an obvious one from me. Mertalia has been a present AU for me since almost the beginning of me being in this fandom. Wanted to represent that with the current designs I got <3 (specially left side dedicated to almost everyone from @ask-octomer-arthur hehe)

Spamano Week Day 1: Merman

As soon as I saw this prompt I know I needed to draw something for this au. Awhile ago on Discord I talked about it but not here so here's some info on it.

One day a sad Lovino goes to the docks, wanting to be alone after a fight with his grandfather. Antonio happens to be there too and startles Lovino, making him fall into the water. Antonio saves him and Lovino keeps coming back to visit him.

Antonio also tries to court Lovino by giving him presents. This fails a bit though as gifts in a merpersons eyes are different form humans, and Lovino doesn't like the live fish very much lol.

He does capture his heart despite this though <3

She keeps losing her men to a siren until she goes to search for and kill this siren herself

The siren turns out to be none other than Francis

Bonus points if they knew each other before this and she's like "you again ugh!" but he just wanted to get her attention ;)

Back in the days I had Norway as an Orca merman, but having him as another blue whale would be really funny as well. 😄 Big Boi Family, and Scotland is just there like... "Welp. You two are big." - Both options has a lot of potential tbh, and Nor was (technically) Swe’s protective older half-brother in the AU, so it wouldn’t be out of question that Nor could be another merman-kind than Swe either. 😄 .

The AU is taking shape! 😂 love the collaboration here. I made the decision to have Norway as an orca and Denmark a great white shark, just to have some variation while still keeping with the big sea life ✨ Denmark is so over his brothers fawning over humans 🙄 do they not realize how dangerous humans are???

Images from an rp AU - here’s the rundown:

There are two races of “Mer” - the Mer-Folk, and the Mer-Fins. Mer-fins are your typical Mer creatures, with an assortment of tails based on various sea creatures. Mer-folk are like the ones depicted in Luca, having both tails and legs and resembling reptiles more than fish. Mer-folk also have the ability to change their form to appear human when on land - something the mer-fin are jealous of. 

In this AU, Francis is the Prince of the mer-fin. Arthur is the son of a general who was killed in action in the fight between folk and fin. The two of them had a strong connection, but this relationship became strained as they grew up. One day, Arthur stumbles upon a cave just outside of the mer-folk border and meets a group of mer-fins, one of whom is Alfred. Fascinated by each other, they form a swift and passionate bond. But everything comes crumbling down when Francis follows Arthur one night, wondering why the other has become so distant all of a sudden...

Since I don't think I will be able to do MerMay (again-) this year, I wanted to do something special for me, and everyone here! So have a little DTIYS :3c

Featuring my mer designs for Spain (sea turtle) and the Itabros (clownfishes) , rules and prizes come on the images x3 anyone can participate! Am excited to see you guy's creations~

NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND a mermaid Norway x human Scotland AU but Scotland already knows his boyfriend is a mermaid and they’re exploring the world together and they’re currently in norway and norway naturally is just blown away by everything, but Scotland has a special surprise. He rents out a small boat to go out into a fjord in and watch the northern lights. And on the boat he’s teaching norway some BSL so they can understand one another better (Scotland is deaf) but naturally they both get distracted whilst the lights come out. Norway is absolutely transported, and during a moment when the lights are hidden, Scotland grabs his attention by signing “northern lights”, and norway asks “hæ?” And Scotland repeats himself, before saying “that’s what I’ll call you. Northern lights, they’re magical and some of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen, just like you.” And Norway gets all shy and flustered and help I love them.
