how is the mercy of Allah swt? how can i describe it from my limited knowledge? perhaps, is it like the way a mother watches over a child wronging her, mocking her, being angry with her, and yet, when she is sad, she slices up a fruit for her?

or is it the way that Allah swt created us from nothing, watched us grow and wrong him, give no thanks for him, transgress him, only to turn to him when things go wrong, only to say, 'my beloved, i was waiting for you to come back.'

Salman al-Farisi (May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him) reported:

“Verily, on the day Allāh ﷻ created the heavens and the earth, He ﷻcreated one hundred parts of mercy. Each part can fill what is between the heavens and the earth. He ﷻ made one part of mercy for the earth, from which a mother has compassion for her child, animals and birds have compassion for each other. On the Day of Resurrection, He ﷻ will perfect this mercy.”

The 4 Signs of Protection from Allaah's Punishment

Makhool رحمه الله said:

“Four things, whoever has them, they are for his own advantage; and three things, whoever has them, they will be against him (and will be for his own disadvantage).The four things are: الشكر (Shukr - thankfulness), الإيمان (Imaan - Faith), الدعاء (al-Du`aa’ - supplication) and الاستغفار (al-Istighfaar - seeking forgiveness).

▪️ Allaah تعالى says:

*{ما يفعل الله بعذابكم إن شكرتم وآمنتم}*

{Why should Allaah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him?}

[Surah al-Nisaa' (4): 147]

▪️And Allaah تعالى says:

*{وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون}*

{And Allaah would not punish them while you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allaah's) forgiveness.}

[Surah al-Anfaal (8): 33]

▪️And Allaah تعالى says:

*{قل ما يعبأ بكم ربي لولا دعاؤكم}*

{Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to the disbelievers): “My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours forever (inseparable, permanent punishment).”}

[Surah al-Furqaan (25): 77]

As for the three, then they are the following: المكر (al-Makar – slyness/evil plotting), البغي (al-Baghi - transgression), النكث (al-Nakath – breaking the commitments).

▪️ Allaah تعالى says:

{فمن نكث فإنما ينكث على نفسه}

{Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks it only to his own harm}

[Surah al-Fath (48): 10]

▪️And Allaah تعالى says:

*{ولا يحيق المكر السيئ إلا بأهله}*

{But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it.}

[Surah al-Faatir (35): 43]

▪️And Allaah تعالى says:

{إنما بغيكم على أنفسكم}

{O mankind! Your rebellion (disobedience to Allaah) is only against your own selves}

[Surah Yunus (10): 23]”

Leaving Sins by the Remembrance of Allah ❤ • • • عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم فِيمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى، قَالَ: إنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ الْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ، ثُمَّ بَيَّنَ ذَلِكَ، فَمَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ حَسَنَةً كَامِلَةً، وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِهَا فَعَمِلَهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ إلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ إلَى أَضْعَافٍ كَثِيرَةٍ، وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ حَسَنَةً كَامِلَةً، وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِهَا فَعَمِلَهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ سَيِّئَةً وَاحِدَةً". [رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ] ، [وَمُسْلِمٌ]، في "صحيحيهما" بهذه الحروف. On the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), from what he has related from his Lord: Verily Allah ta'ala has written down the good deeds and the evil deeds, and then explained it [by saying]: "Whosoever intended to perform a good deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. And if he intended to perform it and then did perform it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten good deeds up to seven hundred times, up to many times multiplied. And if he intended to perform an evil deed, but did not do it, then Allah writes it down with Himself as a complete good deed. We give ourselves many excuses to get out of things that make us feel uncomfortable... and a person that doesn't feel the beauty of salah, might make many excuses to avoid it... but the problem here is, that worshipping Allah swt is our purpose... and not praying means that we are not fulfilling this purpose... Allah swt gave us salah as a relief for us... from our problems... from our own selves... for our own benefit... our love for salah should stem from our love for Allah... our love to meet Allah... our love for those moments of solitude with Allah... that out of all of creation, this is our exclusive time with Allah... When we look at salah as a burden... when we perform it routinely absent minded... when we take away our concentration... then the value of salah will decrease in our heart... let us understand that the promisses of shaytaan are fake... and no good ever came from abandoning salah... we need to be mentally prepared to challenge any excuse that aims at disrupting our relationship with our Creator... that aims at stopping us from fulfilling our purpose... to overcome laziness... and pray So for those of us that dont pray... there is alot at stake here... all it takes is a decision... and commitment... "Well it is part of the Sunnah, that when ever it rained, the Prophet (ﷺ) would go out in the rain exposing his amrs, parts of his chest so that he would be touched by the rain and he would say that this rain was close to Allah (Azza wa jal) and it's a blessing. So we do this, we believe in this and we know that this connects us as individuals to Allah in everything we see. Its not only the Masjids, its not only the Muslims, even the environment ,we take care of the environment, we take care of animals. If rain decends to us from the heavens and the Prophet (ﷺ) says it was close to Allah the Almighty. Because it is coming down from the heavens and he is seeking blessings. We also...walk in the rain, not to sink but to fulfil the sunnah of Prophet (ﷺ)..doing the Prophets sunnah by exposing parts of my body..Not soaking myself so that I get the flew and maybe fall sick, but just to get a touch the blessing of rain water and this is why the Prophet (ﷺ) tells us.... it is a time when Allah answers your supplications (Dua's).
