Me when a character of any gender who has been emotionally abused since childhood and/or had to take on too much responsibility from a young age is considered boring by the audience/fandom: fuck you I’m going to like them then.

Me when the character actually is boring and/or poorly written: *clenches fists* FUCK YOU IM GOING TO LIKE THEM THEN *proceeds to find fic that give them empathy and narrative understanding without GirlBossing them, and if there are none, proceeds to write them in my head*

Chan: Will put on the brave front but definitely a wreck. Absolutely devestated, cries in the quiet of his own room that he used to share. Lots of regrets. “If only I’d noticed sooner/done something different...”

Minho: Angry. Lashes out at everyone, a little hellbent on revenge even if there’s no clear target. Most angry at himself for not protecting you better. Breaks stuff a lot. Will probably punch people if they badmouth you even a little.

Changbin: Denial at first but accepts it much easier than anyone else. His healing process starts almost immediately but he heals by basically reliving his relationship while he’s packing things up and throwing things away. A melancholy smile. Keeps only the most important things. Silent tears, a la Roy Mustang from FMA.

Hyunjin: Frozen almost. Blank faced, empty eyes. Moves like a ghost, drifting without purpose. Will touch your things and sit in his memories. Has urges to break things but will turn it on himself.

Jisung: Wailing. Full force sobbing. Doesn’t like showing other people though so he’ll find a corner somewhere and hide away until he’s tired himself out. Holds onto your stuff fondly. Gets teary when encountering things that remind him of you, like favorite restaurants or colors or clothes.

Felix: A quiet doer. Doesn’t stop moving, constantly cooking or baking or making things. Feels disjointed, like he’s living in the moment of your death while time is still moving forward. Has to be forced to take breaks and go to sleep. Can’t go into your room or sleep in your shared bed. Half sobs in the witching hour.

Seungmin: Hard and analytical. In the moment or even slightly after, focuses solely on things he needs to do like setting up the funeral, packing your stuff up. Afterwards, sits shell shocked and empty. Ugly crier, doesn’t like being seen but also doesn’t care in the moment.

Jeongin: 50/50 split between crying and screaming. Not sure which you’ll get but is definitely a wreck afterwards. Seeks comfort from his friends. Doesn’t take care of himself much after. Can’t bring himself to touch your things, or even be in your room. Recovery is slow.

Okay, so the Marvel Ultimate line was BAD. Most people know that the only good to come from it was Ultimate Spider-Man. I KNOW it was bad. And I was just skimming through wiki articles, avoiding all the cannibalism (seriously, there is a LOT and it is very disturbing) while researching alternate reality kids (so fun). I thought i was prepared for the badness.

But I am FURIOUS that they decided to combine completely unrelated Aboriginal characters. Really, that isn’t in the top TWENTY terrible things from that universe, but Shaman and Snowbird are CANADIAN. Michael Twoyoungman is Sarcee, and Narya is an Inuit goddess/demigoddess. They are NOT interchangeable with Apache (John Proudstar) and Cheyenne (Dani Moonstar) characters just because all of them are Aboriginal.

I’m stupidly angry about this. Just, WHY? Sure, Rahne can become Sasquatch, that’s a fun little twist. But there’s no reason for these amalgamations other than racism and laziness. Stupid writers.

Well, Kitten is definitely the house alpha cat, she's got seniority over everyone~ She and Angel (who was probably the most cantankerous cat I've ever had-no one messed with that old boy with the exception of Cali, a kitten another of our cats, Katherine, gave birth to, but she only got away with it because her momma would've kicked Angel's ass) were practically co-alphas while Angel was still alive (RIP, you glorious old fart. Actually, RIP to all of my gone but not forgotten darlings).

Anderperry Week: Day Two: Letters

This one isn't quite as good, but I got it out in time :) Hopefully, tomorrow's will be better. --- Dear Mother, I just got settled into my dorm, it's too bad you and dad can't be here to help. My roommate's dad came and said goodbye to him, but I guess we were both left to fend for ourselves, so it must be normal. I think you guys will be right about this school - so many people already recognize me! I think I'm starting to make a lot of friends, too. Keep in touch, Todd. *** 

Dear Mother, Wow! I have made so many friends here already! I've been asked to join three different clubs and my teachers really like me. I'm also starting to get Latin a lot. I may be even better than Jeffery! Just kidding! I knew that'd make you laugh, mom. Anyways, I better to get to homework - I can only do so much before the club meetings.

Dear Mother, Sorry for not writing for quite some time! I've just been so busy with school and my friends. My roommate Neil is the coolest guy I've ever met. We get along real well - he likes The Beatles even more than I do. John is his favorite though, but I swear that's the only weird thing about him. I've decided to limit myself to only one club because I didn't want to stress out too bad, I hope that's okay with you guys. Neil and a bunch of my other friends are in it and we have a lot of fun. The other day Knox was acting out this scene and ended up falling down halfway through. We laughed at him for ages - it was a riot. He's always being clumsy and falling over himself. I'm having a great time at Welton. Thanks for making me go here.

Dear Mother, I don't know if I want to finish my last semester at Welton. I suppose I have to because of the amount we paid, but I think I just want to finish up school anywhere else. It's not the same without my friends and without the club. It's like half of my life here is gone and now I don't know what to do... I think change would be good.
