things from The Halloween Update that are concerning me more than i already am about Eddie:
his Frankenstein's Monster costume turning his face (and hands. ha, hands, like the hands on a-) half yellow half blue/purple like the clocks & Sally's door. that's fucking me up a little ngl
Eddie tacks "A bit of a moral conundrum-" onto his description of Frankenstein's Monster, who he's costumed as. which seems out of place with the rest of his description. he could've said "bolts" or "white streak in his hair" or another physical trait. nope. Moral Conundrum (one could also describe his costume as "two-faced"...). and the fact that he's dressed specifically as someone who was "brought back from the dead" makes me 👁️👁️. kinda reminds me of a certain set of artworks from Clown's tumblr a while back...
Eddie, despite his whole schtick being "bad memory", was the only one to accurately recognize Sally's costume as pedrolino from the Commedia dell'arte. could be a little 'inside joke', might be something else. i suspect it's something else due to his... ah... Everything.

starhalo for ship bingo!
They make me sooooo very sick in the brain ever since the early days they met, they already lowkey had me hooked under a spell.
I remember how early on Etoiles asked Bad where he was often so that he could follow him around. Etoiles admitted to how he considered Bad as one of his good friends when Bad teased Etoiles about being a try hard and Dapper said that Etoiles’ words were one of the nicer things that people have said about Bad. Etoiles saying “Life is good when you’re in it” (paraphrase) to Bad when Bad was trying to help him get up once because Etoiles was attacked by a mob without having any armor on. The way he acted towards Bad was so, sooo cute!!
I also remember how Bad really wanted to take a rare dark metal dungeon to himself but instead he gave it to Etoiles and Etoiles was SO happy about it and sent hearts towards Bad in chat…happy dog wagging its tail vibes!!
There’s also that time where Etoiles asked Bad if he wanted to come with him to a dungeon but Bad couldn’t because he was taking care of the eggs but Etoiles still asked Bad repeatedly if it was okay and then Bad insisted on Etoiles going to the dangerous dungeon without him, and Etoiles just wanted Bad to have fun too - ughhhh <3 !!!
That’s not even getting into the promise that happened between them and how Etoiles wanted to help Bad out in kidnapping a person if Bad had asked him - Why are they still so underrated ;-;??
How can they not click in other people's mind like lego pieces connecting together in a clank................They went on a date before and literally wear matching armor and talk about game mechanics together ....................

also kind of annoyed bc as much as i love my grandpa my mom suggested i move in with him to take care of him and i was like. im not equipped to deal w that? and also i want to be w my pets and at my house, i will happily visit him daily if need be, but i do not want to move in w him to be his caretaker. i have no experience w that sort of thing. i stayed w him for a few weeks when he was healing from a surgery, but im not gonna stay w him for an unspecified amount of time. if that is needed, he should move into one of his kids houses if its that serious. im not a caretaker or maid, im a granddaughter.

Hey Paya. If you see this ask then take it as a sign to draw something or write something. It doesn’t matter what, I just hope that this makes your day a little more productive.
...okay i know this was probably meant to be, like, motivational, so thanks.
but the thing is, i am. a lot. daily. on my last day off i got done with a whole swathe of new sprites and a functional sketch of the menu screen for my game.
thats nothing to say of all the WRITING im doing on it! ive also got some ink n paint practice i like p recently in my Wet Sketchbooks
...cant find the other Wet Sketchbook with all the watercolors in it atm oop
but i do have my Work Sketchbook, which sees maybe too much use every day because like. full time job.
i think only one of the things i showed here is more than like a week old.
still doing things. i just dont really feel the need to show 90% of what im actually doing because i know it won't really get seen, and it's enough for me that i'm making stuff. and on top of the job, i'm also still doing online college.
so uh, yeah. Not Posting Fanart =/= Not Being Productive. have a good one

So you guys remember how after Hinawa was announced as dead, Flint was immediately tossed into jail after he (very understandably) lashes out in his grief. And then by the time he breaks out of jail (not released by a fellow Tazmillian, breaks out with a nail file), the service is already over and she's buried six feet under the dirt with no proper goodbye from her husband or even a glimpse at her or anything???
That was fucked up

Wait you guys......
Mike and Will are in love
No because like they're just...they're just a wholesome childhood friends to lovers slowburn I'm gonna rewatch like "aww you don't know yet".
Like....
Mike and Will are in love.
They fell in love from ages 12-16(?). That's so cute. What the hell. I just randomly starting thinking about it like it's just some show I just heard about or something and I'm like "aw cute trope". What a cute trope wtf. That's adorable. Two twelve year old boys in the 80s and they fall in love over the course of many years as they grapple with internalized homophobia and homophobia in their small town? That sounds like a GREAT show where can I watch it? That's adorable.
Mike and Will are in love. And...that's just the premise. That's just the premise of their plot. If you came up to me after you watched episode 1 for spoilers and you were like "What happens to Lucas? Dustin? Mike? That girl they found? The kid who went missing?" I could just be like "Dustin gains confidence and becomes besties with Mike's sister's boyfriend after they break up, Lucas meets this girl who's introduced next season and they're really good for each other, the girl gets adopted by the police chief and then into the Byers and has a great found family and independence arc, and the boy who went missing survives and he and Mike fall in love!"
And that'd just be like...right. I'd just be telling you what happens.

modern au dad askeladd except he's not an actual dad but this random kid shows up to his house every day and tries to have beef over the closed food store askeladd bought and turned into an antiquarian store. turns out the food store used to be run by the kid's father until he passed away which is very sad of course but also askeladd is not gonna cooperate with some brat that borderline harasses him day by day. only that he can't call the cops because he kinda has a turbulent past and if they find out he's filling his store with stolen goods it's gonna become a huge problem. and note to destiny, the stupid kid finding out is not that great either because now he has to hear it out if he doesn't wanna go to prison and also he should probably learn the demon child's name while he's at it. shenanigans ensue.

Re: The Recent Post I've been considering a similar concept primarily revolving around speedrunning (as why does Arceus let this keep happening, unless it's for the spectacle of a story?)
A hero growing increasingly detached from the world around them in a need to run faster and faster, without realising that everyone else seems to be remembering bits and pieces of each run.
I haven't actually written anything down yet (though I might do,) I just find meta-knowledge and player behaviour AUs fascinating tbh
(Referencing this post)
This run may be dead, but it’s also a chance to find a few extra skips to apply later.
Hear me out: combining the speedrunning concept with the Groundhog Day concept. The hero completes their mission to save the world, but the day after their triumphant victory, they wake up on the beach with their partner shaking them awake, everything reset. They complete their mission a second time, and once more wake up on the shore with their partner oblivious to who they are. The hero is stuck in a time loop, and they start speedrunning it to try and get through the awful repetition while simultaneously searching for a way to break the cycle.
But then things start changing, and the hero realizes someone is pulling strings behind the time loop…
