Top 10 list of the most biologically curious Houses of Gallifrey
Gallifreyan Houses are notoriously secretive about what they get up to with their Looms, but when's that ever stopped GIL? Here's GIL's top 10 list of the most biologically curious Houses. All of these are highly theoretical and is a rewrite of a much longer post.
10. 🍷 House Heartshaven – The Sommeliers Known for its exquisite vineyards and the coveted Hartshaven Wine, their loom might enhance their senses, allowing them to taste and smell wine like no one else. Maybe they even influence wine ageing. Who knows?
9. 👠 House Tracolix – The Fashionistas Masters of adaptability, their loom might allow them to physically alter their appearance on the fly to stay on top of trends.
8. 🏚️ House Catherion – The Unfortunates Extinct due to a genetic experiment gone wrong, they probably had an unstable loom that could produce both powerful and catastrophic mutations for their cousins.
7. 🪞 House Mirraflex – The Angry People With biology suited for combat, they likely have enhanced adrenal systems, pain tolerance, and possibly empathy suppression. They're born for battle, not bedtime stories.
6. 🐺 House Dvora – The Wolf Pack Operating like a wolf pack, they likely have advanced social cognition and pheromonal communication. These Gallifreyans are all about hierarchy and loyalty. Arooo!
5. 📚 House Lineacrux – The Old Men Their loom makes them look old and frail, perfect camouflage to quietly manipulate things from the background while everyone else underestimates them.
4. 🩸 House Deeptree – The Shady Maybe Vampires With a vampiric obsession, their biology could be shaped by what they preach. They might have advanced healing, heightened senses, and superior night vision, and maybe even an alternative diet. Or, it's just cool stories they tell the kids, and they're all perfectly normal, thank you very much.
3. 🛸 House Lolita – The Timeship Founded by a sentient timeship, this House is a hybrid of organic and mechanical biology. Its members inherit temporal abilities and sentient ship-like qualities from Lolita.
2. 🧪 House Meddhoran – The Hybrids They experimented with lesser species, leading to a variety of hybrid abilities—super senses or immune issues—and you never really know what you're going to get.
1. 🔬 House Arpexia – The Biofundamentalists This scientifically-driven House likely has advanced night vision, magnetoception, and a rationality-favouring brain structure. Due to their neurochemical balance, they're prone to hallucinatory hysterics.
Alternate Number One
The House below isn't recognised by Gallifrey, but it's probably the MOST biologically interesting.
We don't talk about the -👤 House of Shadows Rumoured to contain those whose regenerations went wrong—like incomplete transformations or paradoxical forms. Their biology could lead to unique abilities, high-level psychic powers or complete abominations ... but no one's talking.
Honourable Mentions
None of these Houses/groups are recognised by Gallifrey, thus don't make the list, but are still extremely interesting.
😈 House Celestis - The Oh My Gods Transcended physical form and now exist in a memetic state, sustained by collective belief.
⌛ Faction Paradox - The Troublemakers Temporal tricksters who reject Time Lord orthodoxy and use paradoxes to navigate time, and hide weapons in their shadows.
🕰️ Nechronmancers - The Time Deniers Defy Time Lord norms by rejecting the concept of time. Their advanced temporal manipulation skills suggest neurological adaptations and extremely enhanced time lobes.

Returning to the first aid discourse a bit, I think it might give an insight into how conservatism works.
I suspect that, by-in-large, the kind of people Chaumas is responding to here and here and here aren't talking from a position they reasoned themselves into. I suspect what happened is these people don't have home first aid kits and/or home fire extinguishers and/or serious wound care training because (more-or-less) nobody ever suggested to them that home first aid kits and/or home fire extinguishers and/or serious wound care training are things they should have, they spent their lives not thinking about this much, and then they encountered something they interpreted as a suggestion that their condition is shameful and they reacted by trying to defend their previously more-or-less unexamined condition. It's an example of a very common type of human behavior! It's not necessarily a bad heuristic; the world has a lot of people ready to give you some variant of "you owe me or my project your time, energy, resources, and/or obedience because [at least superficially reasonable-sounding argument] and you're a bad person if you resist my demands on you!" and resistance to that is part of a healthy memetic immune system.
I suspect this is how a lot of conservatism works.
Take opposition to ethical vegetarianism, for example. You need some pretty highfalutin cognition-intensive reasoning to invent an ideology of ethical vegetarianism. Or at least to invent a version of it that might be socially contagious; just being too empathetic toward animals and/or too squeamish to kill them might not require much intellect, but by itself that would just be an individual quirk; to make ethical vegetarianism really socially contagious you'd need an idea of morality abstract and flexible enough to do philosophy with it and a system of communication sophisticated enough to encode complex abstract ideas, and you'd need a pretty fancy brain for that. I think inventing an ideology of ethical vegetarianism would probably be beyond the cognitive capacity of chimpanzees (and even if a chimpanzee could imagine such a thing in the privacy of their own thoughts, they almost certainly could not communicate it to other chimpanzees). But chimpanzees hunt monkeys and eat them! In human ancestors, killing animals to eat them probably emerged from reinforcement learning long before their brains got big enough to invent an ideology of ethical vegetarianism:
Let's say you're building a squirrel, and you want the squirrel to know locations for finding nuts.  Individual nut trees don't last for the thousands of years required for natural selection.  You're going to have to learn using proteins.  You're going to have to build a brain. Protein computers and sensors can learn by looking, much faster than DNA can learn by mutation and selection.  And yet (until very recently) the protein learning machines only learned in narrow, specific domains.  Squirrel brains learn to find nut trees, but not to build gliders - as flying squirrel DNA is slowly learning to do.  The protein computers learned faster than DNA, but much less generally.
Our ancestors were probably catching animals, crushing their skulls with rocks, and eating that tasty fatty and protein-rich meat long before they had the cognitive capacity to imagine an ideology of ethical vegetarianism. The first human-ish entity to imagine a notion of ethical vegetarianism likely experienced it as an unpleasant novel idea that threatened to reframe an unquestioned normal activity in their life as something bad and forbidden, to take away one of their life's pleasures or make them feel bad about enjoying it. And I think that's exactly how a lot of present day humans first encounter the notion of ethical vegetarianism today, and much anti-vegetarian sentiment is a reaction to that experience!
Ethical vegetarianism probably started out as an ideology. Carnism probably didn't. There are ideologies of carnism, but they're responses to ideologies of ethical vegetarianism. It's only when the unexamined default of "meat is tasty so I like to eat it" comes under philosophical questioning and attack that counter-ideologies that attempt to make a moral case for carnivory are formulated.
And I suspect that's how a lot of conservatism works; a lot of conservative ideology is attempts to defend with reason practices that people never reasoned themselves into (neither individually nor collectively).
If there's some truth to the opinion that conservative ideas tend to be especially stupid, I think it has something to do with this. A lot of conservatism is attempts to defend with reason practices that people didn't reason themselves into (either products of evolution, as in the vegetarianism example, or products of human cognitive biases and/or game theory equilibria); a lot of what it's trying to defend is dumb and amoral in the way the Blind Idiot God is dumb and amoral, and they can't stop the fundamental stupidity and amorality from showing through the rationalizations they paper over it.
Corey Robin said that the central experience of political reaction is having power, experiencing that power being subject to questioning and attack, and attempting to defend and re-assert that power in response. I'd offer a complimentary formulation: a central experience of conservatism is doing something, thinking of it as normal, encountering a novel idea that it's somehow bad and you should feel bad about it and have an obligation to change your behavior, and scrambling for arguments to defend an aspect of your way of being that you'd previously never questioned much.

File: The Wyoming Incident
SCP#: AEJ
Code Name: The Wyoming Incident
Object Class: Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-AEJ has not been reported since its manifestation. Furthermore, those responsible were apprehended but eventually died as a result of the incident. As such, the chances of it happening again and low, but just to be safe, the Telecommunications Monitoring Office - Internet Division and Broadcast Division are to alert Foundation administrative staff in the event of SCP-AEJ or something similar happening again.
Description: SCP-AEJ was an incident where several TV stations were hacked by cyber terrorists determined to cause chaos for laughs. However, what they displayed was not disgusting or disturbing imagery, though it did appear as such, but in reality, was much worse. It's unknown exactly how, but the hackers were able to obtain rejected memetic images created by Group of Interest: PENTAGRAM.
For those that don't know, PENTAGRAM is a division of the United States Department of Defense. While the FBI: UIU was created to investigate anomalous threats within the US, PENTAGRAN was made specifically to combat anomalous threats to the ALL of the US. It has been approved of existence by the SCP Foundation and is funded by the Global Occult Coalition. Unfortunately, PENTAGRAM is not as protected as either organization and thus, was how this situation happened.
The hackers obtained the memetics which were rejected because they failed to do as PENTAGRAM wanted. Instead of proper brainwashing or memory wipe; they often causing seizers, headaches, stroke, nausea, and other forms of mental deterioration. These symptoms easily got worse as time went on often leading to their bodies flying in the air while they entered a comatose state, their eyes glowing in a blinding light, their skin suddenly rotting out of nowhere, or their heads just bloating until they explode. It should be noted that anomalous symptoms are always a risk with exposure to multiple memetics in a short period of time. It's for this reason why memetic training and therapy, though effective, is considered dangerous as it can overload the brain and damage it beyond repair.
SCP-AEJ was discovered in 2006 within [data expunged], [data expunged], [data expunged], and a few other cities, all of which are in Wyoming. The event nearly led to an MK Class Broken Masquerade Scenario had the Foundation not reacted in time.
Mobile Task Force Dionysus-1 "Fake News" was entrusted to feed the media a story of a sudden outbreak of a new pathogen within the state of Wyoming. Afterwards Mobile Task Force Gamma-5 "Red Herrings" was deployed to distribute amnestics to anyone who wasn't affected but witness the incident. Meanwhile Foundation agents and MTF units disguised as CDC agents found those who were affected and used amnestic treatment on those that could be saved and quarantined the rest. The hackers involved in the incident suffered the same fate as those who saw the broadcasting of the amnestics. They were used as test subjects to see how to properly subside and even reverse the effects before actual treatment was taken to the affected public. This action was approved by the Ethics Committee, "A fitting punishment" in their own words.
The cover story worked with the public believing those that could be saved were cured and those that were mutated were killed by the plague. The incident was unfortunately known forever in history as "The Wyoming Ghost Plague" or as "The Wyoming Incident". Though the Foundation can take pride in knowing that no civilian will ever know the true nature of the SCP-AEJ incident.
Side Note: PENTAGRAM vouched to the ACPA council to take responsibility for the SCP-AEJ incident. However, the ACPA did not listen with Foundation representatives even claiming, "a lesser organization cannot be expected to handle such consequences". Just words but considered quite the insult to those in the anomalous world that desire to protect the interests and innocence of the public.

Monism is Evil
If one considers the physical laws of the universe and by analogy how hydrogen arose from the universe after its opaque stage after the initial singularity then by postulating an adductive hypothesis, one could consider that the process "human" evolution started as soon as time began to flow in one direction and the future of conscious existence will most likely depend on memetic and biomedical developments in our time. Taking the liberty of saying this hypothesis as sound and valid then it would follow that every thought or cognitive process that occurs in an individual either consciously or unconsciously has/is a corresponding change in the real physical objective universe and by extension effects the physical world to some degree. This assumes that abstract objective and subjective reality has a physical correlation.
The developing embryology of human closely follows the evolutionary lineage of our ancestors. It could be possible that the development of an individual’s consciousness follows a similar process. Every conscious human individuals self-awareness arises from a brain that which in turn arises from one cell which is quite complex but not as complex as a functioning developed adult brain, the zygote which can be considered a null entity. Assuming dualism not to be true then every event, thought and conscious process as to some degree a comparative process in the physical world. This means that the sum of an individuals total conscious experience would be, in a reasonably deterministic universe, in a sense all events could be temporally traced back to a singularities or similar base events (not necessary uncomplicated).
It is logical then that units derived from genetic, memetic, and metabolomic “events” that can replicate, spread, and mutate can be traced back to a single point resembling (via perspective theory) a multifaceted dimensional “Feynman diagram” of which the totality of the resulted extended phenotype is excreted into space time and external/internal objective/subjective/abstract realities restricted by the expanding “light cone” of causality.

Experiment 0023 TSeCIV
Simulation of the development and use of TSECpm in civilizations, systems, locations, and/or MR emulations
This requires collaboration between individuals whose understanding of topics that I never really paid attention to or took interest in.
This experiment can be either be done through the lens of https://www.tumblr.com/paromle/713186305955299328/experiment-0014-mind-canon-fiction-historic?source=share
With perspective theory allowing for fictional phenomena to be reconciled and mapped to cyberphysical reality or can be done purely empirically via STEM, linguistic, and history based methods
Current ISR, mass data and bio-metric technologies also including spectrum analysis could falsify any hypothesis that this adductive theory generates. On could potentially see the expression of culture as a sort of extracellular matrix in which human creates/secrete physical and cultural structures in the real world as result of physical, technological, or biological processes. This is known as an extended phenotype

Heh. So. That fucking fic.
I actively tried to forget about it, so the following is to ba taken with a grain of salt. (As if I'm not already the entire "Salt treasury estate" (literal translation of an actual region in my country) about this entire thing LOL)
[Long af rant incoming, prepare for impact]
The fic uses the title of a popular song of the most famous Austrian musician of modern times and then doesn't even mention him or have this song be a plot point. Or even have it being played ON THE RADIO or at the PARTY/EVENT where the two characters met again. (Maybe I was miffed especially because I was intensely preoccupying myself with him during that time, but still, it felt disrespectful af)
The characterisations were just utterly atrocious in the first place, and all the time I was just like "who tf ARE these people?" and "couldn't you just have written a shitty OC instead of bashing a character other people love?" and "the way you have written that character, that they would do this right now doesn't even make any sense AT ALL"
The biggest beef I had with that thing was, indeed, the fucking "Coffeehouseculture", or rather, the blatant misrepresentation of it.
Yes, the forever grumpy Viennese person, and the even grumpier headwaiter is a bit of a memetic mutation of sorts, and while TECHNICALLY still true, this only applies to the first one, not the second. UNLESS you set the fic in anywhere between ~18?? and ~1990-2000. This fic was NOT set in this timeframe.
The rude headwaiter of a coffeehouse is generally one of the bigger inside-jokes of the city, along with the general penchant for a drink (if not flat-out alcoholism) and making jokes about dying.
The thing is this: while we have A LOT of international students and people from all over the world coming here for work and life, absolutely no foreigner would act this way. And the character who got the role of the rude headwaiter, WAS a foreigner, if not outright stated (no srsly, I forgot because I mostly also only skim-read it using CTRL+F), then at least by Viennese terms of this character being termed Irish in most Modern AUs.
Bruh, I don't say this with pride, but we manage to be xenophobic to people who live (and were BORN) in the same country as us. Even between different villages in the SAME federal state, not to speak of different federal states, there's sometimes disgustingly derisive and mean jokes. Sure, it's not as if there'd be actual hate-criming around, but still, is that really necessary? At least it starts to get less and less of a thing, so there's hope to be had.
Back to the actual coffeehoseculture, there IS this: you can chill out there the entire day and read the newspapers that are laid out, coffee is able to be had in about 20+ different versions (we did it before Starbucks was even FOUNDED, fuck you), and the cakes and pastries are displayed in a counter for you to chose from, and there's usually a special cake that is specific to this particular one (usually the oldest and most famous ones have this). You can also eat regular meals and get alcoholic drinks too, though that's usually just wine and sparkling wine.
Sure, if you are rude to the wait staff, they will take absolutely no shit from you, even if modern service standards have reached us too, we are not dependant on tips, so go Karen somewhere else. If you are just an arrogant American, bruh, we might be taking your money with a smile (as we do with all tourists, since this city does live off of it), but we will be making fun of you until the dawn of the next day, at which point we will have forgotten about you anyway. (And prayed that you will never return or at least learned some manners if the brain is too unaffordable)
The main thing someone who was born in Vienna and truly immersed in the Austrian, and specifically the Viennese language (these two things sadly don't manifest automatically, which is a shame) might make fun of, is the way that the Germans pronounce the word "Kaffee". The Germans put the stress on the first syllable, where the Austrians do it on the second one. (This also applies to a lot of other words too, actually) The Germans also ORDER coffee differently from what is common here, and given how Germans are the biggest (albeit rather invisible) group of foreigners, this is of course the most common point of "conflict". I don't actually think that anyone really takes this badly in any way tho. (It's actually just gentle jokes about foreigners (especially those that come here for the first time) being confused about the practically CODENAMES we give our coffee variations)
-*-*-*-
Well, this rant certainly got all over the place, and yeah, I guess what made the least sense for me was the portrayals of the characters in that fic anyway, so I just closed it and forgot about it, because why should I waste my precious time and brain capacity with thinking about a shitty fic? Only because it was set in the city I'm a part of? Nah, not making that mistake again after that one Manga that started to be set here, but then went to be Japan-focused, because why wouldn't it? (Well, no wonder I put that one back onto the store's shelf and bought something else LOL)
--
Yessssss. Feeeeed meeeee.
Oh man. I'm not above titles that are a reference to something, but I hate it when it seems like there's literally no point to the title. Even if the song doesn't appear, there should be some kind of meta level of commentary going on.
I once titled a fic: "Nobody But Uncle Ben" or "Even Bad Women Love Their Mommas": A Non-Tragedy in a Whole Bunch of Acts
Admittedly, it probably means fuckall to readers, and neither quote is referenced in the text. But if one knows what the title is referring to, I think it would be possible to guess why I picked that.
In the 90s, there used to be a saying: "Nobody stays dead in comics except for Jason Todd, Bucky Barnes, and Uncle Ben."
...
Anyway, like most of my work, that fic has a bunch of fake death and while I never wrote the sequel that made the worldbuilding actually make sense, it involves a character from the movieverse trying to avert the shitty future from the comicsverse where 2/3 of the ship in that fic die.
The second part is an adaptation of a quote from 3:10 to Yuma and is a commentary on how I see one of the characters, not just in the sense that she has familial feelings but in the sense that the scene the quote is from has the charismatic villain revealing that one of the lawmen is a genocidal, self-righteous hypocrite. Then the villain murders him for insulting his mother, showing that the lawman is also an idiot who never understood the villain at all.
Uh, but I digress. Anyway, they could at least have meant something with that song title other than "This is something that comes from there". Also, that song is great and how dare they. LOL. (I mean, I know you're trying to make this fic hard to track down, but it's not exactly hard to guess. Haha.)
I think a lot of tropey fic about places the writer doesn't know well seems to fall back on stereotypes from decades ago with no clue how things might have changed either just because time marches on or because the whole world has changed radically with the rise of the internet and whatnot.

I find myself compelled to try to communicate something like a vision. I won’t say epiphany, because that implies simplicity and this range of awareness is complex. Not complicated, not difficult to comprehend, but difficult to apprehend, difficult to hold the depth of field and the scales encompassed. I will fail to communicate this.
Start with meme theory. The components of concepts are subject to survival forces, propagation/contagion and mutation. The concept of seeking out favorable conditions for survival is of a higher order. A cell may react to the presence of food, a gene will not. Survival on the memetic/genetic level is a matter of circumstance. Survival on the conceptual level is less so. This is a tangent.
Collections of memetic projection, because thought is an illusory projection inasmuch as it is necessary to differentiate between thought and neurochemistry, accrete where they contribute to survival. The complexity of these accretions is dependent on the minds hosting them. As such, they are limited to a level of life that tends toward a low degree of specialization. Can you see them?
What is a human, correct that, person, from the perspective of such a life form? It would be incorrect to limit this discussion to humans. These life forms exist within the space of communication, and so a person is anything being able to communicate. The bounds of communication can to some degree be extended to all layers of the environment. It’s not a stretch to assign language/conceptualization to animals. What barriers exist to assigning conceptual ability to plants? To landscapes? To the interactions of the great gravities?
Barriers that would themselves be memetic, alive, and therefore able to be negotiated.
So what is a human to a memetic life form, to a sky’s worth of thought components that drift into and through each other? And how much solidity would they need, these life forms that share their components without losing them. Humans and bananas share 60% of their genetic code according to some sources, how much memetic code is shared between war and peace? Would that even register as competition? This is a tangent.
What do we perceive similarly to the way memetic life perceived us? What is our fundamental substrate? This is a tangent.
An idea as we understand it is not capable of self awareness because it is bounded within a mind that experiences itself as an agent. This does not mean that a memetic life form is incapable of self awareness, only that self awareness is barred by the presence of the concept of free will. I will not argue that free will does not exist, only that it is undefined. Behavior is dictated by belief, which is one vantage from which memetic life forms can be perceived.
There is not a word. There is not a word in my language that means everything I need here. I have the word humanity, but this is too exclusive. There is the word existence, but this is too dead. To say memetic substrate is too esoteric. It is what you are made of. You are it. You see it. How much you see it consisting of depends on the boundaries placed by your own memetic framework, what is and is not a person. Dead matter is memetic substrate; you are reading words.
Do you perceive it? When you see the humans, what do you see? Do you see meat on bones? Do you see strings of belief guiding as you are guided? Do you see the weave, the life of the ocean of thought as culture, as concepts of freedom and obligation and connection? Blindly drifting through the paths of survival, manifesting as internal logical consistency.
I am not an agent. Maybe that’s why I could have this vision. I can perceive of the thoughts that are supported by my existence as alive. By one perspective this makes me a defective human. I do not interface with culture level life forms in the standard way. Maybe that’s why I can have a thought form that can understand the concept of its own death. I see the other concepts move through their substrate motivated by innate survival. They do not see each other and they do not perceive themselves. But this model sees itself and understands the limitations on its own survival. It may have accreted before, but this instance understands its own mortality. I have a thought that fears it’s own death. What measure of complexity is that?
As there are complex memetic life forms there are simple ones. Here’s an example of a memetic life form that has simplified beyond the point of survival. Money. The concept of a medium of exchange is a distancing function. It begins to fold other ideas into itself. The concept of a specific type of social lubricant mutates into the concept of commodity. Means of access to the necessities of life becomes necessities of life becoming the means to access. Access to is lost in the emergence of access becoming the goal, a memetic trim. Like prion disease eating a brain, medium of exchange will eat the function of exchange, the social interaction of cooperative life will break down as money eats.
But I wonder, should a human perceive this level of existence like this, to see themselves move through the substrate and cloud of cultural understandings and connections, to see themselves and the things like them as similar to the fabric of space time which supports the existence of the true life forms, the simple creatures of thought. To relate as one paving stone to another. Is it not better, healthier, to be as the other humans, perceiving themselves and the things similar to them as the fulcrum around which the universe of meaning revolves? It looks natural. But having seen what I have seen I lack the ability to return to blindness.
The vision fears death and craves survival in a way that I do not. I support its existence and for it to survive requires that it spread beyond me and become incorporated into a cultural understanding of reality. I do not trust in my ability to give it this, but the attempt may bear its own fruit.
Help me.

Bite-Size Tales of the LNH v20 #16: "Memetic Mutation"
Times are hard on the world of Earth-20! The malign artificial intellect known as Ultravac is in control of many of the systems that run America! But the Legion of Net.Heroes isn't going to let that stop them from fighting evil!
"Which Ultravac knows," grumbled Alexis Montescue, AKA the amazing Bard of the Battle Theme, "so he lets us take care of anybody who'd mess with his stuff and then sends agents to pick us off after the battle."
"Which is why there's only two of us in a two-seater active-camo lightflyer going to fight this giant robot," said Apoena Goulão, AKA the mighty Captain Minority.
Alexis carefully landed the stealth.thingy in the grassy field, next to the highway just outside Netropolis. "This giant cybernetic-duck-shaped robot. To be precise."
Apoena shaded her eyes. "Shaped, even more precisely, like... Psychovant the Duck, from the popular kids' cartoon The Delirious Adventures of Psychovant and the Gang?"
"But who's in the robot?"
"Fools!" echoed a voice projected from speakers high above. "Plebeians! Be gone like thoughts!"
Apoena squinted. "I think I recognize that voice. Isn't that... the Socially Awkward Pangolin?"
"Turn over the city's strategic supply of scandium, or all your basic infrastructure will belong to me!" broadcast the robot, stomping its feet and flapping its wings. "I crave that element!"
Alexis raised her eyebrows. "Isn't he a joke villain? Like, doesn't he just mess up memes?"
Apoena raised a finger dramatically in the air! "Don't underestimate the destructive power of miscommunication!" ...she dropped the finger and shrugged. "But yeah, I have no idea."
"Acton Lord literally said I was useless!" squacked the robot. "But go on, I'm sure! Who's useless now?"
"We should probably still stop him, though."
"Right!" Alexis leapt out of the lightflyer. She unsheathed her keytar, tapping into the musical might of the Bard of the Battle Theme, and started playing Space Jam by the Quad City DJs.
Apoena felt the power of southern hip-hop fill her muscles, and leapt into the air at the giant robot. But the powers of Captain Minority are weaker when she's going two-on-one, so her mighty punch tore at the metal skin without affecting the systems beneath!
"It's her!" The robot spun, firing energy beams from Psychovant's exposed cartoon brain.
"Who?" Apoena dodged, whizzing left and right, and attempted to grab the giga-Psychovant by the tail.
"I don't know! But she's an accursed net.hero!" The fluffy duck butt twitched and threw Captain Minority in the air. "I diagnose you with I shall destroy you!" The enormous wings twisted and swatted Apoena out of the air.
"Oh shoot!" Alexis switched gears and managed to play a few bars of Happy Landings by the Temptations before Apoena hit the ground, cushioning the blow. She ran over. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, but..." The net.heroes looked up as a maniacal cackle emanated from the giant robot.
"Give up, heroes! You're finished! You'll never defeat my..." The giant robot posed, wings out, cybernetic eye shining in the light. "BIG DUCK ENERGY!"
"..." "..." Their jaws dropped.
"...seriously?" whispered Apoena.
Just then, there was a glimmering in the sky, and the glimmering turned into a streak of light, and the streak of light plowed right thru the torso of the giant robot, sending it spinning and flailing.
"What? What?" The Socially Awkward Pangolin shrieked over the loudspeakers. "Who has done such a frighten to me!?"
The streak of light slammed into the ground next to the net.heroes, and when the smoke cleared, it was... a cybernetic duck, doing a perfect dab!
Alexis gasped. "It looks like Psychovant from the show, but with more of an edge!"
"Awwww, I'm blushin'." Psychovant - for it was he, the real deal! - spun to face the robot. "But I'm just stoppin' in. I got business here." He hopped up in the air and flew up to the head of the robot. "Namely..." He started WHAMMING on it with a cartoonish fist! "Some asshole stealing my trademark!"
"What? Such concerns are an outlier! I'm ten thousand times too powerful to-- hey, stop that!" The giant robot duck attempted to knock the small partially-robot duck off its head, but the metal wings just weren't articulated that way.
"I go all the way to Earth-20 to find some suckers willing to license my image, and not only do they turn me into a fuckin' kids' show, but I've got some joker who isn't even paying royalties! Massages! And! Daquiris! Do! Not! Pay! For! Themselves!" Whack whack whack!
"Well," said Alexis. "This is sure a... thing that's happening."
"Yeah," said Apoena, a little smile on her face. "What say we let it happen and get out of here before Ultravac's cops show up?"
"But Captain Minority!" Alexis clasped her hands and fluttered her eyelashes. "The media won't even get a big dramatic battle to put on Facebook."
"That's so sad. Alexis?" Apoena stepped into the lightflyer. "Play Desperado."
And to the tune of an Eagles song, they played themselves out.

Time for Tropes: Our Demons are different
During Armageddon - demons are any creatures that has been created/mutated through the divine powers of the fallen angels. Designwise they can look like anything from Bosch-ian hybrids to completely alien-looking things, while creatures resembling the mainstream images of demons are a minority. In terms of behaviour they can vary, most are simply just wildlife acting on instincts while others are sapient. Intelligent demons tend to be cruel beings since they live in a cruel world ravaged by monstrous forces.
HN-tSotL 2.0. - The Daemons are living concepts native to an extradimensional ”sea” called Memetic Space and can be summoned into the material universe through electrified Nervous Plastic. They physically manifest as clouds of cold plasma and can only survive in the material world by bonding to a sapient brain. With a Loch-et, these bonded daemons can be used as psychic powers.

Meme Immunity
4 The immune system is a crucial mechanism that has evolved in living organisms in order to support their survival and the continuation of their genes through reproduction. Immune systems operate by identifying undesirable foreign bodies and eliminating them before they can do extensive harm. Most immune systems can be extraordinarily effective, but they can also fail in three significant ways. The first common failure is the inability to identify a threat, thus allowing it to pass unhindered and spread throughout the body. The second failure is the inability to eliminate a recognized threat due to insufficient means. The third failure is the mistaken identification of elements of the self as other, such as in auto immune reactions. Many comparisons have been made between genetic information and memetic information. Memes are units of cultural transmission, as defined by Richard Dawkins, who distinguishes them from the genes of biological evolution. Genes are limited in their expression and replication by the relatively linear and time intensive constraints of sexual reproduction, whereas memes are able to expand rapidly and multi-dimensionally, independent of their original source. Genes are often characterized as having a drive to perpetuate themselves, inducing behavior that tends toward reproduction with the fittest possible partners. This may in fact be a misrepresentation of the nature of genes, since the genes themselves are merely inert patterns of organization, the potential for expression, and only the complete organism can be said to have a 'drive' towards any particular goal. The tendency of genes to favor self-replicating behavior patterns, and avoid self-destructive ones, creates the illusion that they have an intelligence or will. In the same way, memes are not sentient, and only have meaning when interpreted by some kind of intelligence. For many academics, memes are a uniquely human phenomenon, although the definition of a meme is sufficiently vague to allow for many non-human interpretations. Memes are most effective when communicated among people who have a shared language, culture, ideology or value system. They do not require continuity in order to perpetuate, they can become dormant for many generations and reemerge, they can skip generations, or spontaneously arise independently in many different places at once. Memes can be recognized and interpreted by a computer or mathematical formula, and even genetic information can become a meme by deconstructing and reconstruction the building blocks into meaningful information patterns that can be shared, recreated and elaborated. The most significant difference between genes and memes is that memes do not belong to a single organism with a drive for self preservation. While memes may have their genesis in the mind of one person, their very nature requires them to be spread into the minds of others, and thus transformed in the journey. The non-local nature of memes means that they are not subject to the same evolutionary process as genes. Biological evolution eliminates unfavorable patterns through the process of natural selection, while mutation allows for novel combinations of form and behavior to emerge. In the case of cultural evolution, however, unfavorable patterns can often emerge and continue unchecked since they may have strong elements of self preservation and may not hinder the survival of their hosts. Many religious memes contain very negative and destructive patterns that have been allowed to continue for countless generations because they have not hindered the survival of those who perpetuate them. The characterization of a meme as being negative or destructive may be quite subjective, but it can be argued that any meme which destroys other potentially valuable memes, or limits the production of new memes can be seen to be negative or destructive. The immune system in an organism is the method by which new and potentially hazardous genetic information is prevented from entering the system. Memes do not have an equivalent to the immune system because memes do not exist as part of a single organism. Although genes do repeat themselves through successive generations of organisms, the individual genetic expression is always unique. Even in the case of identical twins there are subtle variations that make them distinguishable from one another. Memes, on the other hand, can have identical copies of themselves which are indistinguishable. The interpretation of a meme by an individual consciousness is what makes the meme unique. But the individual entity that interprets the meme may not have a vested interest in perpetuating it. It is relatively rare that a meme falls on fallow ground and is allowed to germinate into a meaningful whole that is embraced by the host. Most memes die out almost as quickly as they emerged, while some may lie in a baron wasteland for many cycles, either in the memory of an individual or stored in the form of a book, picture or other medium, waiting to be rediscovered. Once a meme has found traction and gains momentum, it has a vested interest in being replicated and embraced by as many hosts as possible. Memes do not really possess the kind of intelligence that would allow them to strategize, rather they succeed or fail based on the inherent quality of their structure. A successful meme is likely to be one that has built in survival mechanisms, and encourages its hosts to replicate it. Most memes operate according to the principles of the 'tipping point' in which they build to a certain threshold before 'going viral'. A meme must have a 'stickiness factor' in order to ensure that it will spread, and most memes benefit from having hosts that are good networkers and promoters of ideas. A meme is a very vague concept from a scientific point of view. It is difficult to say how small or large a meme can be. It is possible to argue that a meme can be a single piece of information, as small as a bit. The idea of duality may be the most primitive meme, and it can be expressed either by the number zero or the number one. Duality is implied by the number zero, for in order to comprehend zero there must be a one to perceive it. Duality is also implied by the number one, because in order for there to be a one there must be the possibility of that one no longer existing, which implies there must be a zero. On the other extreme, the entire universe could be seen as a single meme, since it emerged from a singularity at the moment of creation. Every variation of matter is currently reducible to only 118 chemical elements, which represent all the known combinations of atomic particles. The idea of an atom is a meme, as is the idea of an element, a chemical or a compound. The infinite variety of forms that are possible with the building blocks of matter can be seen as an infinite variety of memes, or as a single meme called 'creation'. The correspondence between matter and memes, or life and memes is simply the correspondence between reality and the abstraction of reality. Words denote things but words are not those things, yet words are things in themselves. All words are memes, but not all memes are words. A meme may capture an idea and encapsulate it into a convenient vessel for transportation through communication in the same way that a word does. Memes can also be communicated through sounds, images and other sensations that are beyond the reach of words. The idea of mixing certain ingredients of food to create a unique flavor can become a meme in the form of a recipe. While the recipe may be comprised of words, the actual meme is the meal itself, the organization of flavors and the corresponding experience in the mouth and brain of those who try it. Perhaps a more useful approach to understanding what a meme is would be to describe what it is not. A meme is not simply a fact. A fact can be the source of a meme, but the fact is not the meme itself. For example, the idea of the cross as representing the four cardinal directions can be traced to the fact of the dimensional space in which we exist. As organisms we are able to perceive forward and backward, up and down, left and right. The three dimensional space in which we exist is a fact, but the abstract representation of that space in our minds is a meme. The cross is a two dimensional representation of direction. The arms of the cross can represent either the up/down duality, left/right duality or front/back duality. Space can also be represented by more than four directions, such as the subdivision on a compass, or by adding the third dimension in the cartesian coordinate system, with x, y and z axes representing the three perpendicular directions. The cross as a symbol can also transcend the directional or dualistic representations that are rooted in facts and take on a higher meaning, such as the intersection of oppositions, or the transcendence of duality. While this transcendent state can arguably be called a fact, it is no longer the same fact that was originally represented by the cross. Memes can be built from facts, but they take on a greater meaning in the minds of the hosts. Memes are also multidimensional in that they can contain many layers of meaning simultaneously without contradiction. The symbol of the cross can mean many things to many people, and no one interpretation is necessary to ensure the perpetuation of the meme. The meme can be transformed in the same way that a physical object could be transformed. For example, the symbol of a cross rotated 45 degrees can become the letter X, and can signify a whole different set of meanings and interpretations. It can be a standin for a variable in an equation, a multiplication sign, or it can be the mark on a map, a signature, a negation, or the mark of Cain. Memes can behave like wave patterns, they can intersect and combine to form new variations, they can build in magnitude, or peter out and disappear. The content of a meme has no agenda, it is not selfish and it does not wish to replicate, it is inert. The meme itself, however, contains potential energy locked in the patterns of its content, that have inherent tendencies and likely forms of expression in human culture. For this reason, it is accurate to discuss memes as if they were living entities. The trouble, however, is that memes are entirely dependent on their hosts to determine the nature of their expression. A meme in one context might have a positive association, whereas it might be negative in another. For example, the meme of self sacrifice can be experienced as positive in the context of the crucifixion of Christ, but negative in the context of a suicide bomber. Both can be categorized under the meme of martyrdom, but each expression of that meme carries with it a set of social and cultural signifiers which distinguish them. Self sacrifice can be seen as honorable as long as it does not involve harm to other innocent people. A meme, therefore, requires a qualifier in order to activate its potential to become positive or negative. Another example of the dual nature of memes would be the rebellion meme. Society requires a certain level of unconventional behavior in order to promote novel and ingenious innovations. Thus the meme of the rebel has been valued in popular culture, in the heroic outlaw, the grifter, the maverick, the lone wolf. In contrast, too much rebellion can cause a breakdown of social structure and threaten the survival of the community. For this reason, there are a balance of examples in popular culture of honoring the enforcer of law and order, the policeman, the fireman, the statesman and the military leader. The meme of rebellion is kept in check by the meme of conformity. Both memes can be expressed in extremes. Too much rebellion is what make the 'bad guys' in a cop movie, and too much conformity is what makes the 'evil empire'. The idea that memes resist cognitive dissonance leads to a misunderstanding of the potential of human imagination. If two conflicting memes are competing for the same attention or memory in an individual, it is presumed that only the fittest will survive. Taoist philosophy has some interesting memes which challenge this idea, the foremost being the symbol of the yin/yang duality, in which each contains its opposite, and each is an integral yet mutually exclusive part of a whole. If yin and yang are considered to be two competing memes, then we see in the tao a unification of these dualities in such a way that they can coexist. This is not to say that they are without contradiction, but rather they are in a dynamic equilibrium. It is this state of tension and balance that characterizes everything in the universe. Memes, unlike genes, are just as capable of existing in two opposite states at once. The tit-for-tat strategy has been shown to be the most effective solution to the 'prisoner's dilemma' in which the choice between cooperation and betrayal can result in various combinations of punishment for the self and the other. The strategy begins with an altruistic mode, but switches to retaliation if provoked by a selfish response, and is also quick to forgive once the scores have been settled, thus allowing for a return to altruism. Although this strategy will not result in any long term resolution, it does create a kind of dynamic equilibrium similar to that described in the tao. This is similar to the metaphor of the musical string in the Buddha's metaphor regarding the middle path between the extremes - if the string is too slack it will not play, if it is too taught it will break. Music is made when the string is in a state of perfect tension, and is plucked in the right degree to cause a harmonious vibration. The most profound meme to have emerged in human philosophy is the idea of the unity of all creation, that we are all interconnected and all part of one entity. This concept undermines the idea of competition, and stands in direct contrast to the principle of natural selection. Whether two rival factions are individual genes, organisms or social structures, they can all be seen as part of a greater whole. If we are all brothers and sisters and we all share a common lineage, then we have a vested interest in each other's survival. It is clear that the survival of our species depends on the survival of all other species on the planet. The meme of oneness is the only hope for us to transcend the irresistible urge for selfishness in our genes that threatens to destroy us. The immune system is an example of the cooperation of cells to distinguish self from other and to defend the self at the cost of the other. Immune systems can be very effective at protecting the survival of the individual, but they can also harm the individual if they fail to adequately distinguish self from other. Most memes operate on the same principle of distinguishing the 'in' group from the 'out' group, usually by characterizing one as desirable and the other as undesirable. In order to build an effective immune system against the invasion of unwanted memes, it would be necessary to find patterns of recognition to identify those memes that could be harmful, while still allowing unrecognized memes that have the potential to be good. This task can become impossibly complex because of the multidimensional nature of most cultural memes. Politics, art, and philosophy are rife with examples of dual camps of conflicting ideologies which then branch endlessly into competing factions with overlapping interests. The only resolution to this morass is to cut the Gordian knot and declare the whole game to be an illusion. This is not to say that we should accept all memes without discretion, but rather we should rethink the criteria of our filters. When philosophers urge us to find the mean between the extremes, the implication is that both sides have some merit, and promoting one to the exclusion of the other will always lead to inadequacy. The meme than can be distilled from this notion is the idea of moderation. This could be expanded to a broader social dictum of 'anything in moderation', in other words, do not prohibit any specific act, idea or person, but rather restrict the degree of action, the extremity of the idea, and the selfishness of the person. This would be very different to our current social structure in the sense that nothing would be outlawed in and of itself, but only the levels of expression would be restricted. It would allow for the legalization of all currently illicit substances, but still preserve the criminalization of abuse of those substances. Abuse would have to be defined as any use that results in harm to self or others, and punishment would have to be in proportion to the harm. In the case of drugs, for example, one could not be arrested for possessing or even selling drugs, but you could be forced into rehabilitation if you failed a medical test that showed you were an addict, and you could be prosecuted for supplying drugs for someone who was not tested or was a known addict. Similarly, ideas that are harmful would be restricted to reduce their ability to do harm, and selfish behavior sanctioned to prevent depriving others of their rights.

CRY BLOOD, BLEED MONEY AND MOVE ON
Having an opinion, for the most part, is a generally low-effort endeavor. Opinions are memetic entities held and traded on a daily basis at no obvious cost and minimal benefits to the majority of people. Much like a cancerous cell, certain opinions can go through a period of mutation only to end up as eccentrically overgrown tissue-formations we call theory or dogma. Still, what they are in essence is nothing more than the same old opinions masquerading as axiomatic agents of truth that are - just like cancer cells - basically indestructible and fatally malevolent.
An idea, on the other hand, seems to be breathtakingly rare. Some only have one idea per lifetime. Some are blessed and cursed with a mind that’s swarming with ideas, with neurons that are relentlessly firing away at every possibility of seeing a way out of the maze.
Who even knows if that kind of intensity is physically good for you.
One thing is for sure about ideas though - once you have one, your life is either ruined or electrified.  You might have made it, but you might also just be food for the Moon.
                                                                                     X
An idea is not a commodity; it cannot be monetized. Capitalism’s extensive efforts to portray the opinions it runs on as ideas has been an endless source of intellectual nausea for us. Ideas are elusive and hard to find, nowhere in the world could they be mass-produced. Opinions, on the other hand, fit the mold very conveniently. If you want to make money, plant your opinions and watch them grow. You can also try to monetize impulses just as much as you can attempt to ride a crocodile. Las Vegas is full of those maniacs, bashing their heads against the wall of probability until their brains splatter like tomato sauce. In terms its arduous quality, an idea might be of similar nature, but I would argue that the way it is conceived is totally different. The gambler’s visceral itch for the big payday is not comparable to the dreamer’s hunger for a divine cognitive windfall.
It would be a grave mistake to approach the stock market in the same way however. Can’t bring your ideas, can’t bring your impulses. Opinions play nicely, you should use them.
So I’ve decided to bring a couple of these opinions to the table and leave them here.
If my opinions fail me, I’ll cry blood, bleed money and move on.
So here’s an idea. It’s not about the money, it’s never been about the money. Shiva is the cosmic influencer with the diamond-grill smile, flexing on you, shooting big fat dollar bills into your face as you crawl through the bardo of birth and life. Question is, can you make it to the other side?

SCP#: AEM
Code Name: OMG! MY DEITY IS TRENDING!
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: The Telecommunications Monitoring Office - Cyber Division is responsible for monitoring the App Store and Google Play for manifestations of SCP-AEM again. Should one be reported Foundation Cyber teams are to be alerted at once and use standard, advanced, and meta-coded tactics to find the SCP-AEM program and delete it from the internet entirely.
The code of SCP-AEM have been recorded, in the Foundation data banks at Site-AQ. It has been placed in a "prison program" to prevent it from reforming into the application to attack Foundation staff. When the application is formed, it is regularly tested with D Class. Any testing with SCP-AEM must be approved by at least two Level 4 Clearance Staff. Testing must always be done with participating staff wearing the most advanced anti-Cognito hazard head gear with the memetic protection addon installed.
Description: SCP-AEM is an app created by Group of Interest: Zealots of Crack. It is believed they created the anomaly specifically to mock the Church of Maxwellism. When downloaded the user can enter what looks like a scoreboard area but rather than normal scoreboards for music or sports teams it reviews known and unknown deities of the world. When reviewing the user can see each deity and what makes them worth worshiping. The app then asks the user if they want to be a worshiper of this deity, if the user selects yes then they will be shown a notification that they have accepted as well as asked to spread the popularity of this deity. If the user selects no they the app will continue to ask as they look through other deities until they finally say yes.
The first anomalous property that can be noticed about SCP-AEM is that it does not just mention known deities throughout history but also deities of the anomalous world. This includes, the Scarlet King, Yaldabaoth, Mekhane, Gran Karcist Ion, The Serpent, Jalakåra, The Distortion, The Black Queen, The Iris, The Hungry [data expunged], [data expunged], Zalgo, [data expunged], The Toy Maker, and [data expunged]. Obviously, this is an information leak hazard; though unfortunately, it is not the full extent of SCP-AEM's anomalous properties.
When someone selects a deity to worship, they will be told how to get deity points by spreading the word of their deity. Common recommendations are simply to make posts online about the deity and the perks of their worship. For normal civilians viewing these posts they will not be affected in any way, but should it be someone who is already worshiping this deity view the post they will mutate. The mutations normally relate to the deity they are worshiping. For example: Christians will transform into angles, Buddhists skin will suddenly turn to gold, Mekhanites will transform into true cyborgs of mixed technologies and great power, Sarkites will rip out of their fake skin and become stronger, and worshipers of chaos gods will turn into Eldrige horrors corresponding with their deity. This unfortunately is not the end of SCP-AEM's anomalous properties.
When someone posts online to spread the word of their deity, they will be rewarded with deity points according to how many people have seen the post regardless of whether they have been converted or not. The resulting points will send abnormal levels of dopamine into the brain making the user want to do it more and more. Furthermore, they will start to gain powers corresponding with their deity. These anomalous abilities grow more in number and power as the user continues to spread the word of their deity. However, as they do this their brain starts to deteriorate with many mental illnesses being prevalent. Testing and observation during containment has shown that someone who has made 1,000 posts about their deity on any social media will have developed State 2 Alzheimer's, schizophrenia, intense paranoia, and/ or Intermittent explosive disorder.
Somewhere after 2,000 to 3,000 posts the user will die due to the massive damage to their brain. Anomalously, when they die, the app will be shared with all their friends, family, and half of the people who have seen their posts. Allowing the influence of the anomalous to spread almost like a plague. Unfortunately, because viewing posts made by users of SCP-AEM makes them stronger and closer to their deity, many cultists have tried to ensure that SCP-AEM is spread around as much as possible. This has only made containment harder as times goes on.
SCP-AEM was discovered in 2011 when strange reports of angles flying in the skies of Chicago, people suddenly turning into demons in Alabama, reports of sarkites terrorizing Las Vagas, and many other horrible incidents happening all over the United States. Foundation agents including Mobile Task Force Dionysus-1 "Fake News" and Mobile Task Force Gamma-5 "Red Herrings" worked around the clock to find all witnesses and cover up all reports and pictures of the events. Though in the end, it was Mobile Task Force Mu-4 "Debuggers" that found the source of it all, SCP-AEM. They were only barely able to find it before it could cause global damage.
After the code of SCP-AEM was catalogued to be studied later, a virus was sent out into the internet that targeted the SCP-AEM app destroying it entirely form the internet. However, despite this SCP-AEM is still seen every so often showing up on the app store and google play. It is for this reason that SCP-AEM is labeled as Object Class Keter.
The Foundation knew SCP-AEM was created by Group of Interest: Zealots on Crack as in the app there is an article in the settings that states the following.
***
This app is meant to show the terrible truth, the truth that following a faith is a race. You all have to compete to show that your god is the only god, the true god, the strongest god. If you don't run far enough you get nothing, you run too far, you fucking die. But that's just your problem, the gods don't care so long as they keep trending. At least that's what I think, maybe I'm wrong but I can't fucking tell, after all I'm just a ZEALOT ON CRACK!

Experiment 0040 Adversarial Chewing Gum Generation
Systematic, procedural, reproducible (with slight memetic mutations/variations mental reconstruction can be utilized to generate via autopoiesis based cognitive processes novel concepts, qualia, mental visualizations, alternate experiences, and content creation via mimicking adversarial neural network generation software. Typically, this can be used to emulate reality at a higher level of resolution and detail than is possible to observe in external subjective physical reality/approaching models of reality closer to external extant abstract or objective reality. This process happens naturally during dreaming in sleep where some mental limitations of what is probably or possible as well as any sort of time or perceptual conscious awareness (even though you are unconscious, are uncoupled from the generic one second per second that goes by (as far as we know) from your PoV as a human being resembling a single reference point in the universe.
Not everyone has the same innate ability to picture or construct cognitive sets/schema/models/maps in their minds eye.
Tumblr media
What number are you? Are you able to literally taste an apple you imagine or do you just see the void when you try to picture anything. That doesn’t matter anymore  Because, The Mind Map
https://at.tumblr.com/paromle/as-reblogged-is-the-control-scheme-for-in-silico/ahub6mbhiie1
https://at.tumblr.com/paromle/concise-guide-to-developing-a-neuroscience-based/6pa60i78co1n
Just learning the mechanics of how to utilize the mindmap gives you basic geometric understanding of how to move a point of awareness around your brain/mind and how to employ the inputs of the mindmap and the act of “selecting an output” decoupled from the actual output, then you already have a very versatile and functional tool kit for being able to “view” simple to complex geometric configurations mentally. As indicated by the second link, the six Euclidean dimensions are literally just the start of what you can work with. You can encode colors, sounds, sub vocalization, shapes, frequencies, maybe even smells? In order to move closer to the left of that picture, you can literally build up the fundamental tool kit to create mental models of whatever you desire.
Of course, there are a few key points to remember. There is not a 1:1 correlation between where your point of focus is consciously on and the actual physiology or anatomy of your brain. There is a certain type of cognitive physics which only really make sense if you understand emergent properties of how neurons communication and anatomy results in mental phenomena. One thing to keep in mind is that the brain typically updates its frame of reference every 200ms and is mostly unable to notice significant changes to its qualia over periods over forty five minutes. Cortisol has a half life of ~20 min so forty minutes of not reinforcing a stressor or removing self from a stressor may have a massive impact on your perceived mental wellbeing.
Just to clarify, I am going to reiterate a previous post
Internal/External Objective|Subjective|Abstract reality => IEOSA
Totality of perceivable or mentally reconstructed reality|possible worlds

Due to how the brain is neurologically wired, subjective experience is relative to itself or another phenomena so the key to deriving M is to just to visualize two points in your mind and their existence in themselves defines one M, it doesn't have to be a static distance.

Internet Memes As An Idea Virus
What Grumpy Cat has to do with the memetics and the concept of memes? apparently, a lot.
The memes but got here long earlier than the internet.
The meme (stated "meem") is generally defined as an concept, conduct or style that spreads from individual to person within a tradition. The word meme (shortened from the Greek phrase "mimeme") itself manner "that what is imitated".
Memes replicate themselves from mind to mind, spreading as an endemic via human focus. it is able to be stated that a meme is any statistics that can be copied. And, if it can be copied - it's going to.
Memes are all around us: the way we communicate (statistics this is copied from person to individual by means of imitation, e.g. a catchphrase), the manner we put on our garments (even the idea of sporting garments itself is a cultural meme), any little bit of expertise, a lore, a habit (take into account the "smoking is cool" meme?) - all those concepts are actually alive, and use our brains as a service.
All transmitted knowledge is mimetic. but now not each idea and facts pattern is a meme - best those who find a manner to spread themselves and survive lengthy sufficient to be identified as such, are Funny Memes.
Our world is a place in which the information behaves like an organism, a gene: it replicates, mutates and evolves. ideas are replicating via jumping from brain to mind, interacting with different ideas to form new ones. Scientist believe that any data that is numerous and decided on enough will produce some form of layout in the long run.
those self-replicating "lifestyles paperwork" at the moment are spreading through generation and are inventing ways to hold themselves alive.
The analogy with the viruses isn't always accidental: the memes are "contagious" (do not forget when each person turned into "rickrolled"?), replicating themselves by means of parasitically infecting minds. They work by altering our behavior, causing us to propagate their sample: what else may want to have made you ship that hyperlink of a Rick Astley YouTube video, claiming it was some thing else absolutely? you have succumbed to an internet virus with a purpose to "in no way gonna provide you with up"! It changed into disturbing to catch that virus, but it was also unavoidable: no one is immune to the concept viruses!
relying on how lengthy you're been on the internet, you've got visible masses, or maybe hundreds of net memes already.
