A thing about being host that came up recently as a topic in our life / system is that being host is apparently fucking hard. I say apparently solely because I had gotten so accustomed to it and less that I ever thought otherwise, but since I was having the equivalent to a really bad mental flu over properly fusing - XIV temporarily for like 2 seconds days took over as primary host / default fronter so I had less to worry about and less free time to get caught up in thoughts that would just make me spiral - and those two days gave us both mutual appreciation for the shit that comes with being out the most and being the "spearhead" of the system.

Like I know people with DID clown at other systems about how stupid hosts are / how silly hosts are / how in denial and uwu hosts are - or at least the ones I interact with - cause yeah, we can be pretty fucking dumb and stupid and pointlessly in denial about things, but like... it wasn't until I took even a slight step back from primary host did I realize just how much more intense everything is when you are out there.

I think XIV had put it best when we swapped back roles; "Everything is way too fucking real out there as main host" which honestly checks out from my two day mental health vacation of being primary host that everything is SO much less sharp and pungent and easier to like... for a lack of better words parse and process. It's easier to go "this is an issue but its just a problem to solve that doesn't have to be handled now" internally than it is externally where it's almost... harder to escape your self.

But anyways, just sitting here realizing its pretty bad ass that I maintained primary host for 8+ years and the fact that tough boy mcgee over there was like "AIGHT that was ENOUGH for me for a life time" after two days makes me want to give myself more credit than I used to.

TLDR; hosts are still memefully stupid, but ya know, I think they / we deserve some credit.

I liked The Witcher. Visually and memefully fun, but definitely a "beach read" (lol, too soon?). Lots of gratuitous female titties, although I do appreciate a show made for grown-ups. For me, not every character was interesting. The timeline jumps around erratically and is really confusing lol. Loved the costumes.

I've been trying to stick with s1 of series even if it's not immediately grabbing me, and it really paid off when I finally made it to s2 of Peaky Blinders. LOVE IT. I'm on s4 now and binge-watching. It’s GORGEOUS! Awesome ensemble cast, well-plotted. The drama is intricate with bits of dark humor. It can be quite brutal 😲. The s2 and s3 finales were insanely exciting! I wasn’t an avid follower of Cillian before, but I’m finding him mesmerizing to watch. The lighting of his face is incredible. I love it so much when an actor can convey the thinking going on behind the mask, and that is so much his character in this, and wow he’s good at it. Highly recommend, although I’m so late to the game 🤣. I can’t wait to get all caught up so I can un-blacklist the tag and start reblogging gifsets 😁.
