Underverse 0.8 was beautifully animated as always! It really had to hit me in the feels when I was watching it in public so naturally, I had to act like I wasn't about to cry my eyes out (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠) Here's a quick redraw of a funny Papyrus part; honestly wasn't expecting this meme to be added ever lol. Edward Quinton, the 'school king' of Foxfield High who secretly harbors mysterious powers, discovers a social outcast with his same supernatural predicament: the titular character, Isaac Beamer. Edward, motivated to form a secret club of others like them, goes down a path that changes their lives for the better or worse. The two of them make friends along the way… and enemies. Curiosity just may lead them straight to hell itself. Last updated June 8th 2024.

An incredibly niche fic series where I rip apart everyone’s derogatory favorite Danganronpa V3-inspired fan character, featuring lucid dreams, existential crises, depression and kissing your idiot hot inner demon. The character list has increased significantly since it started, featuring counterparts for other V3 characters as well. Last updated August 2022.

🗡 Dreamswap - Open Setting, No Ongoing Story

An ‘AU’ based on the UTMV outcodes. It originally got its name from being centered around Dream and Nightmare switching roles. Other other characters have also technically switched roles, but at this point, the swap thing is basically obsolete due to the convoluted nature of the lore. A comedy-heavy setting despite its themes. This was being adapted into a separate story called Fatal Flaws.

❤️  Greyscale - Comic (Stopped)

An Undertale comic about two humans with drastically different ideas on how problems should be solved who end up in the Underground at the same time and have to work together to make their way through it. Went on hiatus in 2019. Any comebacks would be a complete rework.

🌙 Darkness Is Nicer Than It Seems - No Ongoing Story

Forced into the role of a hero, Dark has been at odds with his power-hungry childhood companion Jet for a long time, but he decides that continuing to fight him is not worth it anymore. A Dreamtale alternate timeline. Its tag is #dintis.

An interactive story dedicated to Nightmare and Dream, except they were combined into one person and they had no idea how. A post was released explaining the remainder of the story. The last comic strip was in 2019.

First impression: First time I've ever seen him was because of an animation meme (for a 2 second "cross the sea" joke) and the second time was when I watched a dub of the 0.4 ink vs error fight in underverse, and going back to that I realize he was only there for like 5 seconds at the end so uh💀I don't think I had any significant opinion on him in my early days in the fandom tbh

Impression now: I just can't not love him man. Xtale as a whole has grown on me like crazy recently, I just think the enitre story and context surrounding him is so interesting. (the fact that he's a swap sans and has/had a sibling relationship with alphys quickly comes to mind when thinking about his unique situation) he's also just an awesome yet prissy little emotional guy, and I love that for him

Favorite moment: Aaaaa I dunno if I remember enough to get this accurate, but I really like all the scenes he's had with ink. their divorce was truly tragic

Idea for a story: I don't know what I'd do tbh... his orginal story is one of those concepts I don't feel the need to dive into in my own way since I think it's already done so well in canon (tho ig I can say he plays a big enough role when it comes to a non-utmv world I've been working on, but he still isn't very developed there hgdhfg)

Unpopular opinion: I am unsure what the popular/unpopular opinions on this guy are lmao, so here's a random opinion: I think he should be drawn short more + stockier in general. Idkk I do not believe he is taller than dream guyz (the art of him on my blog rn contradicts what I'm saying here but the last thing I posted is over a year old now, I have grown since then🙏)

Favorite relationship: cross and lux I love girldad cross I love him I LOVE HIM!! I plan on drawing them at some point soon they are sillay. Another dynamic I like is cross + ink of course, to me they're a weird amalgamation of romantic and platonic idk they're just vibing

I didn’t get the hype around ink sans and why he was the face of the fandom and why he was so important until I watched all the underverse stuff and especially the Xtale movie.

I think ink definitely lost a lot of what made him who he was with the fandoms weird way of turning every character into a baby uwu or an edgy. But I genuinely believe that comyet did a really good job and is one of the best original au creators I know of at least lmao.

but seriously, the concept of ink remains important because when u think about it, he *is* the fandom. Ink kinda represents the fandom in a way that I think is really well made and portrayed nicely.

like ngl I almost cried when I started watching the Xtale movie and ink told me that all of us started to give up on our stories and leave the fandom and then the fandom started to die out.

Because it was true. That was what was happening for a while.

I really appreciate modern UTDR fandom. It’s much less hostile and more open and I’m glad undertale is being appreciated for its genius and not just treated as a gimmicky meme anymore. I’m glad that the multiverse isn’t gatekept and I’m thankful that we’ve made this fandom, brick by brick as a community together. I’m happy that undertale has something special and unique to other fandoms.

I mean- think about it, what other fandom let’s you genuinely enjoy your interpretation of a media and encourages you make your own stories and contributions, regardless of how cringe they may be?

there’s not really a friendly au community that exists outside of undertale, at least in my eyes.
