honestly in retrospect, "i'll never make a webcomic, i'm not a comic guy" was a pretty bold claim from the guy who was basically raised on calvin and hobbes anthologies and a few different long-running hiveworks webcomics, and who's entire art style is, at its long-buried core, based on this one pokemon tf comic artist they accidentally found on deviantart at like age 10 and obsessed over for like 3 years

#“why were you on deviantart on age 9” unrestricted internet access on the family computer. think i got there by typing “pokemon” into google #the art was not nsf / w or even really suggestive but i should not have been looking at it probably. sorry [redacted]#who i still check on sometimes bc theyre on bsky rn #i think they planted the transgender seeds in me as well #they had this like hot scientist sona who was ???? a girl?? and then transitioned when they did iirc. baby's first gender envy #anyways hidden lore bc i was thinking abt it agian #sparks speaks #also been daydreaming about redux getting accepted into hiveworks or some bigshot comic circle thing #but every comic circle thing i have ever seen big or small like. accepts members every 2-3 years if at all lol #which i understand is due to the fact that there are Fifteen Million Webcomics (this is a good thing!) but also bwahh. i want a cool comic-#--community that's more centralized than the vague hosting world of comic fury #but it's probably too early in the run for any of that anyway lol
