Had a super great time at this con today!! Probably my fave I've ever been to due to the amount of artists and rythym games!! I also got my first ever commission of Socks that I ABSOLUTELY ADORE. I love that artist's style SO MUCH, they look so good!! 🤍🤍 I was also overjoyed with the amount of Pearlina stuff I was able to find!! Thank you so much talented artists!!! Was also super happy to find ultrakill and Tf2!! :3

Figuring out Melody, the counterpart to Otanista.

She's a bit more in line with Octarian society, kind of bad at fighting overall, but really good with finding long sequences of notes that mix together.

The higher ups are willing to put up with her, but only because she brings a good vibe to the troops.

I imagine Otanista, on the other hand, being a nuisance. She keeps on playing the same tunes over and over. The same 4 hecking notes. Not only is she annoying the HELL out of her colleagues, but despite her immense capability to ACTUALLY FIGHT, she just stays back as support! She can zoom halfway across the turf and back, and here she is fucking around with music.

Anyways, they end up together for a couple reasons, 1. Melody needs to learn how to fight and 2. At least if Otanista knows how music is supposed to go, or has someone to fix up what she's doing or teach her, or whatever, maybe then, SHE CAN FINALLY DO HER FUCKING JOB .

Haven't thought of a name for their group, but it should definitely have some symbolism. Cause I want there to be an Octarian perception of the name, and then when they break up and afterwards reunite in the surface, I want there to be a DIFFERENT perception of the name. Mostly because I think it'd be cool.

Finally got caught up with one of my WIPs as I have finally managed to finish one of my Other SMG4 Pieces (and to be completely honest, even after doing that Crossover Pic, I am VERY frustrated at myself for NOT drawing some SMG4/Splatoon art in a long time because my brain reverts back to one another 😤).

Anyway, with a little something that surrounds my own OC Fan "Lore", we have is Melody in her own Wedding Dress, about to be the Fiancé and beloved Wife to the DJ and King of all Octarians Himself.

I know that Melody's outfit doesn't atomically scream Octopus as it screams more Jellyfish (which I humbly apologize), but I wanted to make her own Wedding Dress a little more different, involving around one of the Many Species of Sea Creatures in order to suit her Fashion Aesthetic. If you'd see what I did there to the Design, I mixed up both Japanese Wedding Dresses with a Dash of Pink Jellyfish as a purpose to Melody's nature of Soft Beauty.
