3 years ago, I never could have imagined finding someone who understood me as well as you do. Together, we have shared countless memories and adventures, and I am grateful for every moment. Every day I am reminded of the love we have for each other, and I am so excited to see what the next 3 years bring for us. ya he did say "i think you have 3 projects going on here, and there's pieces i don't fully see as integral" which absolutely correct. totally.

but i was also right that he's probably the best person i could have had on my committee. he asked if i "just want the degree fucking over with" (of course i do) or if i "want this to be the most academically sound it can possibly be" (yes) so i said option B absolutely

im not looking forward to dedicating all of my weekends and evenings to the thesis again because i was hoping summer would be the easier slow season at work and done with school so that's frustrating

but i'm gonna make this project work, and then i will feel PROUD of what ive done!

meeting with one of the committee members in about half an hour and im very nervous

he said it should be "a very brief conversation" which means either A. "this is really good :) i like that you use texts that i assigned and it fits. can you smooth out the last chapter a bit?" or B. "the whole thing is jumbled and does not flow. why did you copy/paste from different term papers." (my advisor instructed me to, and every professor said "make this paper a chapter!")

it's obv not going to be one or the other, probably a mix of both (but not as accusatory, i Hope). bc also, i specifically wanted this professor because i think he and the one retiring next week graded me the most fairly and appropriately, according to the attention i gave and the timing of my work etc etc etc. so i trust him and would trust her to give me honest and fair constructive criticism and challenge me best. so it is okay
