you know that text image post that's like "you think you're a person who doesn't like cottage cheese...if you went thirty days without coffee you'd be fine...your personality is not set in stone...you can change anytime you choose to..." and people slobber all over it. it's not true, but it's succor. it's basically a mary oliver poem. i've changed eating habits, taken on many disparate hobbies, moved out of state, drastically changed my career, done things i would have never considered doing five years ago, obtained bizarre skills, altered my old demeanors, objectively have made my life 'better' - and only one thing stays true - wherever you go, there you are
