I have so many songs that are so buddie coded and I will definitely be posting more but this one just itches my brain rn when it popped into my head and it’s:
Talk Tonight by Oasis
It’s giving kitchen scenes (depressed not horny) it’s giving lost souls finding love and safety in eachother it’s giving Eddie breakdown arc it’s giving the inherent romanticism of being saved by someone you love it’s giving being each others’ safe space and looking after eachother
#ignore the actual alleged story of this song where Noel nearly broke up the band then was looked after and persuaded by a girl he met#previously (Melissa lim) and after all this and after the song and after their friendship he then claims not to even remember the name#of the woman who inspired this song in which he says she saved his life and names very specific details about her#anyways me and Noel Gallagher have issues but that’s beside the point#i went on a tangent#again#anyways this song is so buddie coded#911#buddie#evan buckley#eddie diaz#evan buck buckley#911 fox#911onfox#911 abc#my posts

On Noel going missing in LA 1994: Yeah, get your story right, lad! Never know who’s listening! Can’t remember her name? Oh yeah, oh yeah, very convenient mate!
I find AKA…What A Life a bit homoerotic, you know what I mean?
Sometimes, I think I’m still tripping from those days and that I’m going to wake up and all of Oasis, all of this, it was just part of that trip.

"Ele veio e sentou do meu lado.
Supostamente ele teria escrito durante o voo (It's Good) To Be Free sobre ter se "livrado" do peso da banda. Segundo ela:
"Ele estava bem chateado.

SORROW FOUND ME. independent and private multi muse with extremely low activity and way too many muses loved and sometimes ignored by lacy.
❝ sorrow found me when i was young. sorrow waited. SORROW WON. ❞
rules and muses found under the cut
01. my name is lacy and i’m 25+ years old. i’m an aries with my moon in sagittarius, cancer ascendant and i have no idea what any of this means. i'm not affiliated with anything.
02. the psd i’m currently using was made by pinkinnards and icon border was made by me, but i’ll also use various psds from various creators. all credit really goes to them and none to me. i’ll probably use psd’s by venuscommissions, plutocommissions, calisources and more. if you ever have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message. i promise, i don’t bite.
03. i will probably practice exclusivity and mains and affiliates, but at the moment i don't have any.
04. i ask that you please not follow me and then unfollow me to follow me again and try to get me to follow you. that will not make me follow you, it’ll just make me softblock you and then hardblock if it continues. also, please don’t like my starter calls or send me meme’s if we’re not mutuals. i am mutuals only.
05. i don’t usually write smut, but if i'm really comfortable with another person then i don't mind giving it a try. i do ask that you please tag your smut though and don't try to force me to write it.
06. i will not follow people that use certain faceclaim’s. gal gadot, chris pratt, ezra miller, scarlett johansson and more probably. if you have questions about why then just send me an ask and i’ll let you know. i’m uncomfortable with them and i just want to be comfortable on my blog.
07. i am extremely slow and i honestly can't help that. i have a full time job and at the moment am only getting one day off a week. it's exhausting, but i'm doing my best.

Hi! I‘ve enjoyed reading your posts for a while now, but I never really knew what to ask you myself. But I was at the Ateez show in Zürich tonight and before the show my friends and me talked about what kind of music Ateez/K-Pop stans listen to besides K-Pop - I listen to a lot of metal, one of my friends enjoys musicals, etc. I was still thinking about it when I scrolled tumblr and saw one of your posts, so I just wanted to know what you enjoy listening to besides K-Pop? Sorry if that‘s a weird question to ask, but I‘m running on that lovely mix of sleep deprivation, adrenaline and post concert depression rn, so I‘m not great at thinking currently.
I sent you an ask about your concert experience because I just got so excited for you (You don't have to answer at all, if you don't want to!!).
Thank you for this ask. I have a desk job and a long commute and have had both for a while, so I have music on constantly. (Also, apparently needing something on 'in the background' all the time has something to do with my ND brain as well).
Way more information than is reasonable, below:
I listen to a lot of Western Classical music. It's what I was raised on. I love Haydn, Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Shostakovich, and Phillip Glass. I go back & forth on loving Schubert and wanting to shake him. I especially love the piano, and I am a fan of classical pianists - Glenn Gould, Martha Argerich, Seungjin Cho, Yunchan Lim, Lang Lang, Angela Hewitt, and Vikingur Olafsson. (Gould, Hewitt and Olafsson are Bach specialists.)
Catholic religious music - Gregorian Chants, Requiems, various Stabat Mater iterations (I prefer the Pergolesi version above the Vivaldi).
Opera. All opera. I love the sound of opera, of how fucking unhinged everyone is in an opera. I love the sweep of that music. I have burst into tears at the opera a LOT because I am very sane.
Modern pansori done by really cool Korean artists like 악단광칠 (check out their youtube channel!) who take the most fun, cool parts of pansori and make it a bit faster, a bit more aggressive, and use modern (rather than 19th century) Korean slang.
Bollywood has SPECTACULAR music. Sonu Nigam has a voice from God, and I am always like Yes, bhai, have and get and do whatever you want, even though I have no idea what you're saying. I found the Devdas soundtrack (and movie) so marvelous,. Karan Johar, who put a lot of hit Bollywood films together, also used great Bollywood pop songs. Dil Se, the movie, had a song, Chaiyya Chaiyya, that was so very catchy that I listened to it too much at one point and woke up dreaming in Hindi lyrics.
Vocalists I love: Ella Fitzgerald, KD Lang, Mahalia Jackson, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Judy Garland, Edith Piaf. Otis Redding. Marvin Gaye. James Brown.
Singer songwriters I love, who are all Americans: Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Fiona Apple, Dolly Parton, Melissa Etheridge. Stevie Wonder.
I am unironic in thinking Michael Jackson was the Bach and Mozart combined for pop music and popular culture, even though he was such a disturbed man who hurt children. Everyone, all the way down to Ateez, is still doing and extending what he put together, either by sound or by look or dance.
80s and 90s Madonna I just love because she was an aggressive short Catholic girl who wanted to be a nun and a saint but also slut around and give everyone the finger, and how can I not love that.
Prince is the only male lyricist to write love and sex songs that are perfect for women.
I wanted George Michael to live forever, or at least as long as Tony Bennett. He's also HUGELY influential on Kpop - that slight, breathy, slightly chilly 'refreshing' sound that mainstream kpop goes for sounds very George Michael to me.
I love the songs of Cole Porter. He was such a WONDERFUL songwriter and the vocabulary of the song lyrics of that era are so elegant and sly and make me glad I learned English.
I also love rap but from a very particular era or style, I think? It's a bit more limited. I love Ludacris. When I wish I had a big huge voice to tell someone off with I listen to DMX. I have favorites from Notorious BIG, 2Pac, Snoot Dogg, Eminem, 50Cent. These are all dudes on my playlist for those days when I feel like ... Some People Need To Be Shot. I like them because all these artists enunciate their words really clearly.
I also, sometimes, get a kick out of big white boys being big and loud - Creedence Clearwater Revival, a couple songs from Metallica, some Guns 'n' Roses and Nirvana (I'm listing them together because I know they hated each other lol), Audioslave, Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Of the current Western pop landscape, I think Dua Lipa is probably my favorite.

Reading update
Conned by Kim Fielding - 4.25/5 stars
Odder Still by DN Bryn - 3/5 stars
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - 4/5 stars
Ended up enjoying this one a lot more than I thought I would. Definitely one of those philosophical-books-masquerading-as-fantasy books, but it was well written and the message resonated with me.
A Draught of Ash and Wine by Kristin Jacques - 3.75/5 stars
Draakenwood by Jordan L Hawk - 5/5 stars
This may have been the first in the series that I handed a 5 star rating to. Not that the rest of the series isn't really good, but this one stood out to me as being really REALLY good.
Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr - 5/5 stars
Another one that I enjoyed WAY more than I thought I would. I normally don't go for books that do the whole characters-connected-through-time-by-the-same-story trope, but this one was very well done. The characters in the different time periods definitely played to things I love. The fact that it was unexpectedly queer was also such a nice surprise. This book is heavy going, and I wouldn't say it's exactly happy, but it's hopeful. A hyped book that was actually worth the hype.
Blyde and Pearce by Kim Fielding - 3.5/5 stars
Bring Me Home by Annabeth Albert - 3.75/5 stars
Jackdaw by KJ Charles - 5/5 stars
AHHHHHH omg omg. Oh this book. Ripped my heart out and stomped on it, then tenderly mended it. Ben and Jonah are one of the sweetest couples Charles has ever written. Maybe the sweetest? (considering there's a very dubcon-y sex scene at the beginning, this may seem like a strange thing to say, but really). I actually far and away preferred them to the main couple in the original Charm of Magpies trilogy. To be completely honest, I like all the Charm of Magpies World books better than the original trilogy, haha.
The Rest of the Story by Tal Bauer - 4.25/5 stars
Fool Hearts by Emmy Sanders - 3.75/5 stars
Shadows of the Lost by Maxym M Martineau - DNF at pg 60
Actually not a bad book at all, but it was too dependent on the author's previous series, which I didn't have any interest in reading.
The Sun and the Star by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro - DNF at pg 26
All the Right Notes by Dominic Lim - 5/5 stars
Lovely, funny book that had lots of music and cooking. It's told in a split time period structure which I thought worked really well.
Witch King by Martha Wells - 5/5 stars
I LOVED this book. I love Kai so so much. He's total blorbo material, so I'm honestly surprised this book isn't bigger on tumblr. The worldbuilding was immaculate, really interesting, and very refreshing in that it was very central Asia inspired. You don't see Fantasy Asian Steppe Cultures very much, so that was really cool. This is another one that is told with a split time period, and Wells did a really good job of tying the events of the past and the present chapters together thematically.
I really really really want a sequel.
And Then He Sang a Lullaby by Ani Kayode Somtochukwu - 4/5 stars
One of the reviews of this book said it had a very didactic ending, which I 100% agree with...but it was very well-written and worth a read. It takes place in Nigeria and is about two gay boys who eventually meet in college. It's not a happy book; don't be fooled by the blurb that makes it sound like a romance.
The Lost Future of Pepperharrow by Natasha Pulley - 5/5 stars (reread)
You guys all know how I feel about Natasha Pulley.
The Master of Samar by Melissa Scott - 3.5/5 stars
Unnatural by Joanna Chambers - 5/5 stars
Fence: Disarmed by Sarah Rees Brennan - 5/5 stars
This book was so cute. Aiden and Harvard both finally pull their heads out of their asses. One of the unexpected joys of these novels is the relationship between Seiji and his father. It's really sweet.
I would fund Sarah Rees Brennan to continue writing Fence novels.
The Archive Undying - 2/5 stars
