I literally wonder what Meghan and Harry would do if megixteers totally ignored them for two/ three months. Probably both curled up on the floor in floods of tears.

They would immediately fall off the face of the earth. The truth is that us haters are the only ones keeping them relevant.

Amusing conflicting tea, Celta. Someone has a friend who works at Vogue magazine who told them that they heard the Harkles will attend the Met Gala this year in May. Another person has a Hollywood source (albeit not working at Vogue) and left a comment on that rumor thread saying nope, the Harkles will not be invited to the Met Gala this year. We'll see what occurs!

I doubt that Meghan will be at the Met Gala, simply because if she couldn't pull it off when she was new from Megixt with the royal gloss still mostly intact, I very much doubt that she can do so now when the gloss has well and truly worn off. In addition, with the Gala on May 6th, if she was invited I would have expected to have heard about it daily for at least a month by now. Anyway, as you said, we shall see. I'm not holding my breath though. :)

The mail online, whilst the online version of the daily Mail, is the biggest online newspaper in the world - in terms of daily views. It’s number one and has been since 2014/2015.

Quick google search says over 50% of its daily views come from outside the UK - noting the large audiences (and different home pages) they have in India, Australia and The USA.

So I wouldn’t say they’re targeting the British tabloids through the Mail - who themselves have become a little too reliant on social media to find stories, especially about the royals. For example, everything Kate has done in the last week, especially anything that has wound up as a gif/TikTok video has also been an article on the Mail online.

I would however say that they have a habit of “targeting” British papers depending on what they’re trying to accomplish.

For example The Sun newspaper, who up until 2018, were the most purchased daily newspaper and still sell around 1 million copies daily in the UK. Since leaving, H&M have either leaked or granted exclusive access to the sun on the following stories;

Megixt - they blame the family for the leak. Dan Wotton who broke the story claims it came from the Sussexes.

Invictus - pretty sure they allowed the sun to have photo access at the last games in the Netherlands.

The Sun’s royal reporter Matt Wilkinson was getting all the Sussex info for a while; then they switched to Jack Royston at Newsweek (which tbh here in the Uk, I’m not sure how many Brits actually read Newsweek?). Jack flipped around the Netflix docuseries/book.

Since QE2’s death/funeral they’ve been buddying up with the telegraph - but more reputable here in the UK - started with the whole “Harry not allowed to wear uniform/sad that his epaulets were left off during the grandchildren vigil” and continues to this day.

So there is targeting the British press, but like everything with these two, which journalist/reporter/paper will change with whatever they’re trying to project/accomplish.

Good points. However, I don’t think they are really “targeting” the UK papers. I think the UK papers are the only ones that are willing to print their leaks for free right now. If they want US coverage, they have to pay for it and they don’t have the money right now.

That’s why their pap pics are now on TMZ. What with their lawsuits and loss of status even the Mail isn’t paying for her pics.

The whole meghan and kate thing really does my head in. You have a bunch of sugars insulting degrading, abusing kate, taking enjoyment from her pain, insulting her family, her children, her looks and just about everything else about her. You have a bunch of horrible people excusing their nastiness by saying if kate hadn't said this or done that they wouldn't be doing this, and yet there is zero proof of kate and William doing or saying anything negative to or about harry and meghan, just tabloids and gossip rags (rags that if they print anything negative about meghan and harry are obviously lies and yet if it's negative about william and kate it must be the truth). And yet they have the audacity to call themselves feminist. They attack literal children, mock the death of a husband, father and grandfather and look forward to the death of a mother and grandmother. They shit all over Britain history (and listen as a proud Scottish women I'm allowed to bad mouth the monarchy, I'm allowed to have doubts and fears and be annoyed with the money they spend. As a scottish women I am allowed to have an opinion on American politics but I should also mind my lane and not call for their president to be killed or attack their family's,or destroy their democracy, I'm allowed to disagree with their amendments but also respect that it is AMERICANS amendments and its something that Americans deeply belive in and as a scottish person I can have a personal view but that's all it is and I will never try and attack their basic rights, whereas those american sugars attack MY monarchy MY tradionals MY history, and try and abolish and attack our queen and we as Britain's are supposed to be okay with that?) And if we have anything negative to say about meghan and harry we are racists? And btw that take the power out of that word in my opinion. If you accuse everyone of rasicms because you don't agree with what their saying then your taking the power out of the word, no one going to take it serious anymore, and people are just going to roll their eyes and say ay right, when that word should have power, it should hold force and have consequences because yes of course rasicm is wrong, but if your going to use your race as a weapon then people are going to get fed up with it because at the end of the day a person can be a horrible person regardless of their skin colour, and they should be called out for their bad behaviour and conduct. No one on this earth should get away with doing bad things simply because of their skin tone, white or black.

One thing I greatly dislike is the tone of articles such as this. Even though they do point out the facts they present them in a way that skews the viewpoint. Using lines such as “Of course, this seems shady...” and “Apparently, the seating order was determined by order of succession...” The latter of which makes it sound like this is new information, when Cosmo points out later that this is the same as it was last year. 

Don’t get me started on the “Was the emerald dress simply too powerful?” tagline. 

But the thing that frustrates me the most about articles such as this is the subtle, and sometimes not-so-subtle, divisiveness. People that might be less informed read articles such as this and think that it’s evidence of things that are simply not true (i.e. no, the green dress was not “too powerful”). 

Saw this today and I just needed to rant.

RMM has a loverly Cartier lock bracelet it symbolises ones eternal deep love it is put on the wrist and screwed on( pardon the pun) it comes with its own screwdriver it truly is a beautiful expensive piece retailing at £4000 pounds sterling. RMM seems to love this bracelet so much so she is pictured often with this on she even wore it at her Jamaican wedding so the giver was obviously her ex husband Trevor Engleson.Did he lock this bracelet on her wrist promising to love and cherish her always? As you can clearly see she is pictured with the bracelet on during her 1st/2nd? marriage.

Yes folks there is without a shadow of doubt that Trevity Trev Trev gave Rachel Musty Markle this beautiful bracelet which brings me to this! Who’s bracelet is she wearing recently??? is it Trevs surely not as wouldn’t that mean she still carries a bit of a torch for her old flame? Would it not mock her marriage too good ole laughing Harry the Hostage! Wouldn’t demean H and make him feel second best? unimportant?..or did Harry dig into his never ending Coutts bank account and buy her one but then why would he buy her the exact same bracelet? Does he feel like he has to compete and that Trev (the one she would die if anything happened) is the one.

idk if it's just their luck, but imagine your first podcast going live the day a pioneer designer dies and the most beloved kpop idol has literally all the trending topics occupied due to his birthday. not even the baby's first worst managed to score a mention on social media. wow.

And the Senate torpedoes relief checks, and who knows what else will happen. It’s still daytime in the US. Plenty of time for another disaster to come along.

But I’m honestly blown away by how much of a disaster this has turned out to be. I thought they would use the baby to get a Vogue cover. Okay, maybe not Vogue, but at least Vanity Fair or Harper’s Bazaar (you’d think HB would owe them something by now, no?) They were hyping that Archewell would rival the Clinton, Obama and Gates Foundation. LOLOLOLOL.

Now they are trotting out the baby to merch a wellness podcast...a podcast!!! And they are desperately pivoting back to royalty and asking for an extensions on their Megxit deal. They even have royal aides as “freelancers.”

Regarding Megixt winners and losers. I don’t think Oprah thinks of herself as a winner in all this. Beforehand, she had a deal to do a mental health initiative with a Prince of the UK.
