Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin (prod. Megan Amram).

Peacock’s Pitch Perfect spin-off comedy series basically riffs off the original films with a fun enough fish-out-of-water European twist. It’s an admittedly amusing yet insubstantial continuation of the franchise following Adam DeVine’s eponymous character and his antics trying to make it big as a solo a capella artist in Germany. Newcomers Sarah Hyland and Jameela Jamil alongside Flula Borg reprising his role add to the pleasing ensemble. It’s mostly a charming watch with a focused ticking clock on its singing adventure.

If the movies were still in production I would probably take less issue with this answer + the existence of the show but because there is no current plan for a fourth movie this is just...not it. The main appeal of this franchise was the cast so to not even possibly consider(unless this was a lie to surprise people) any cameo for audience interest is insane. I also dislike teasing the idea that it could happen in S2 just to encourage views. At this point the only interest I have is seeing if the Bellas are mentioned at all and I'm not supporting this just to do that unless they make Bechloe canon lmao

I'm afraid BIB will worsen audiences' and critics' trust and reception for quality and necessity of PP4 with original cast (if any in the works). This show is truly making the franchise's legacy worse after PP3 bad reception. ugh I hate EBanks so much. Is PP really a dead end material ? When writers with good track records and backgrounds like Megan Amram, Mike White and Dana Fox can't even help to make the quality of stories for BIB and PP3 better.

the fact that the acronym is BIB...

i don't think PP is dead-end material because much of what was used in the BIB story could have been used easily for a storyline for beca. or if they can't afford AK, then shelley and/or kelley. it's just completely stupid/daft that they used bumper as the vehicle to tell the story. it was not believable AT ALL
