Lan Wangji’s mind flits to Wei Wuxian’s birth record. Born in the year of the snake, affinity with fire and yin. A perfect opposite to him, his own affinity to yang and earth. He wonders whether it has moulded Wei Wuxian differently, whether instead of the steady hum of stone and root his mind focuses on the flicker-quick snap of sunlight on leaves, whether he feels prickling heat beneath his skin instead of cool serenity. Fire/yin is an extreme combination, speaking to restlessness and recklessness and perhaps more – to hunger, insatiability.

the invocation of the traditional chinese zodiac is also really neat in this fic. It's surprisingly rare to see in fics! I'd expect things like attention paid to auspicious dates and astrology would come up more often in canonverse works but they rarely ever get mentioned in other fics (except odd geometry hehe)

it's also mentioned things like kang beds which I've never seen in any other fics - maybe it's set even earlier than canon is assumed to be, or maybe this author did more research than most. either way, it's grounding the story very nicely in its setting. I've only seen one minor word choice error and a single grammatical mistake. the writing is smooth and evocative and grounding. I really like it! link bc I'm trying to do that now

Hi,

I have been teaching meditation for years. Due to the pandemic, Ive been getting a lot more people who are intersted. My class are held on zoom for just $10 for 40 minutes. During the first few minutes I will guide you into a deep relaxation for mind and body where we will focus on the breath, sensations, the space around us and just being calm and connected. I have incorporated breathing techniques and different meditations for stress, high BP, headaches and anger. We will also have meditations on how to release past hurts and how to be grateful.

My students now more than ever have come to welcome and appreciatte meditation. These are difficult, challanging times. We all need to  focus on self care and try to reduce stress as much as we can. Meditation can help with this. We can get overwhelmed and caught up in our thoughts and emotions that we can at times find it hard to relax, find peace or even get a good night’s sleep.

I hope you join me. Message me for details. No experience needed. All ages and levels welcome.
