Thank you for applying for a library card!
We are a large metropolitan library with twelve branches here in the city and a consortial agreement with ninety-seven different timelines (and counting). Your card is your ticket to our physical and digital collections, where we have something for everyone.
You’ve indicated that you are licensed for time travel and regularly travel in time or between timelines for work purposes, so you are eligible for our trans-timeline borrower’s card. Please read this document carefully to ensure you’re using your new card to its fullest potential and in compliance with library policy.
Our services:
The library has a floating collection, meaning items remain at the branch where they were returned rather than being sent back to the lending branch. However, we do return inter-timeline loans to their home universe to minimize temporal strain. If you’re browsing the shelves and see a book phasing in and out of existence, alert an employee. It’s probably misshelved.
Our new online system allows you to keep the same login information in all timelines. No more keeping track of dozens of passwords! If you previously created multiple logins tied to one card, visit the circulation desk, and we’ll merge your accounts for you. No, this will not make you responsible for alternate selves’ outstanding fines, and any version of yourself telling you that is lying to you.
You asked, and we listened. Our new online catalog displays reviews from patrons from all relevant timelines on items exceeding a 90% similarity score. We request that patrons keep debates over the superiority of their timeline’s version to venues other than our catalog.
Although our staff members are not medical professionals, they have been trained to recognize signs of temporal instability. If you are experiencing characteristic symptoms (faintness, disorientation, physical and/or mental age changes, etc.), a staff member can administer grounding agents until emergency services arrive.
The library has a robust inter-timeline loan system. If you’re looking for a book or article not published in this timeline, fill out our online form or ask at the circulation desk. The average wait time for an ITL request is five business days. That’s shortened to three if you’re requesting an item stored at the James Patterson Interdimensional Warehouse. (Note: This estimate may change as the warehouse continues to expand under its own power, or if our courier gets lost there.)
Our policies:
We do not accept returns before the publication date (month and year). Cataloging books paradoxically created through stable time loops gets too complicated. You can check a book’s month of publication in a review journal like Booklist, which we make available online and in our non-circulating magazine collection.
We’ve recently gone fine-free in this timeline, meaning we no longer charge fees for overdue books. This policy varies between consortium timelines depending on whether certain people on the board of directors have retired yet.
If a book is damaged beyond repair, lost in a Time Hole, or overwritten out of existence by timeline changes, you will be responsible for the replacement cost or a flat fee of $30, whichever is lower. We do not recommend attempting to rewrite time to avoid losing or damaging the book, as we would prefer to purchase a new copy rather than tear a hole in the fabric of reality.
Patrons may use our computers for two hours. You can extend this time if there are no other patrons waiting. Show respect to other library users and do not abuse time travel to circumvent the policy when there is high demand. We will notice if there are two of you at our computing stations. Yes, even if one of you is wearing a funny hat.
The library values your privacy. We will not disclose account information or the content of reference transactions to anyone, including alternate versions of the account holder. The library also does not keep a record of the materials you check out. However, some of our databases do track user data. If you need to conceal your presence in this timeline to avoid paradoxes, the Time Cops, or your ex, we keep a collection of electronic resource licenses at the reference desk so you can judge which products to avoid.
Holder vs. Holder found that copyright protections extend across timelines and prior to publication, and copyright is exclusive to the iteration who created the work. Patrons attempting to copy library materials and publish them under their own name will have their cards revoked, even if they created the material in another timeline. This policy was adopted after consultation with our legal team. Trans-timeline copyright enforcement is very aggressive.
The library respects the personhood and autonomy of patrons no matter their timeline of origin. However, this respect is not always universal. If you need to know what the laws are for time travelers/alternate selves/dimension-hoppers/“timeclones”/etc. in this dimension (or the terminology used to refer to them), stop by the reference desk.
Violence is against library policy. If you are about to battle your alternate self from another timeline because you ran into each other in the cookbook section, take it to the parking lot.
In conclusion:
Libraries are committed to free access to information, and with the resources of dozens of timelines available to us, our mission has only gotten bigger. In fact, we’re hiring! If you’re looking for somewhere new to apply your time travel certification, we’re looking for team members in our inter-timeline loan department. Entry-level courier positions do not require an MLIS. Familiarity with James Patterson is a plus.
We can’t wait to see you in our library. (Maybe we already have.)

The housing emergency and the second Trump term
Tumblr media
If you'd like an essay-formatted version of this post to read or share, here's a link to it on pluralistic.net, my surveill ance-free, ad-free, tracker-free blog:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/12/11/nimby-yimby-fimby/#home-team-advantage
Tumblr media
Postmortems and blame for the 2024 elections are thick on the ground, but amidst all those theories and pointed fingers, one explanation looms large and credible: the American housing emergency. If the system can't put a roof over your head, that system needs to go.
American housing has been in crisis for decades, of course, but it keeps getting worse…and worse…and worse. Americans pay more for worse housing than at any time in their history. Homelessness is at a peak that is soul-crushing to witness and maddening to experience. We turned housing – a human necessity second only to air, food and water – into an asset governed almost entirely by market forces, and so created a crisis that has consumed the nation.
The Trump administration has no plan to deal with housing. Or rather, they do have plans, but strictly of the "bad ideas only" variety. Trump wants to deport 11m undocumented immigrants, and their families, including citizens and Green Card holders (otherwise, that would be "family separation" and that's cruel). Even if you are the kind of monster who can set aside the ghoulishness of solving your housing problems by throwing someone in a concentration camp at gunpoint and then deporting them to a country where they legitimately fear for their lives, this still doesn't solve the housing emergency, and will leave America several million homes short.
Their other solution? Deregulation and tax cuts. We've seen this movie before, and it's an R-rated horror flick. Financial deregulation created the speculative mortgage markets that led to the 2008 housing crisis, which created a seemingly permanent incapacity to build new homes in America, as skilled tradespeople retired or changed careers and housebuilding firms left the market. Handing giant tax cuts to the monopolists who gobbled up the remains of these bankrupt small companies minted a dozen new housing billionaires who preside over companies that make more money than ever by building fewer homes:
https://www.fastcompany.com/91198443/housing-market-wall-streets-big-housing-market-bet-has-created-12-new-billionaires
This isn't working. Homelessness is ballooning. The only answer Trump and his regime have for our homeless neighbors is to just make it a crime to be homeless, sweeping up homeless encampments and busting homeless people for "loitering" (that is, existing in space). There is no universe in which this reduces homelessness. People who lose their homes aren't going to dig holes, crawl inside, and pull the dirt down on top of themselves. If anything, sweeps and arrests will make homelessness worse, by destroying the possessions, medication and stability that homeless people need if they are to become housed.
Today, The American Prospect published an excellent package on the housing emergency, looking at its causes and the road-tested solutions that can work even when the federal government is doing everything it can to make the problem worse:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-tackling-the-housing-crisis/
The Harris campaign ran on Biden's economic record, insisting that he had tamed inflation. It's true that the Biden admin took action against monopolists and greedflation, including criminal price-fixing companies like Realpage, which helps landlords coordinate illegal conspiracies to rig rents. Realpage sets the rents for the majority of homes in major metros, like Phoenix:
https://www.azag.gov/press-release/attorney-general-mayes-sues-realpage-and-residential-landlords-illegal-price-fixing
Of course, reducing inflation isn't the same as bringing prices down – it just means prices are going up more slowly. And sure, inflation is way down in many categories, but not in housing. In housing, inflation is accelerating:
https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2024-03-08/inflation-housing-shortage-economy-cpi-fed-interest-rate
The housing emergency makes everything else worse. Blue states are in danger of losing Congressional seats because people are leaving big cities: not because they want to, but because they literally can't afford to keep a roof over their heads. LGBTQ people fleeing fascist red state legislatures and their policies on trans and gay rights can't afford to move to the states where they will be allowed to simply live:
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/11/business/economy/lgbtq-moving-cost.html
So what are the roots of this problem, and what can we do about it? The housing emergency doesn't have a unitary cause, but among the most important factors is fuckery that led to the Great Financial Crisis and the fuckery that followed on from it, as Ryan Cooper writes:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-housing-industry-never-recovered-great-recession/
The Glass-Steagall Act was a 1933 banking regulation created to prevent Great Depression-style market crashes. It was killed in 1999 by Bill Clinton, who declared, "the Glass–Steagall law is no longer appropriate." Nine years later, the global economy melted down in a Great Depression-style market crash fueled by reckless speculation of the sort that Glass-Steagall had prohibited.
The crash of 2008 took down all kinds of industries, but none were so hard-hit as home-building (after all, mortgages were the raw material of the financial bubble that popped in 2008). After 2008, construction of new housing fell by 90% for the next two years. This protracted nuclear winter in the housing market killed many associated industries. Skilled tradespeople retrained, or "left the job market" (a euphemism for becoming disabled, homeless, or destroyed). Waves of bankruptcies swept through the construction industry. The construction workforce didn't recover to pre-crisis levels for 16 years (and of course, by then, there was a huge backlog of unbuilt homes, and a larger population seeking housing).
Meanwhile, the collapse of every part of the housing supply chain – from raw materials to producers – set the stage for monopoly rollups, with the biggest firms gobbling up all these distressed smaller firms. Thanks to this massive consolidation, homebuilders were able to build fewer houses and extract higher profits by gouging on price. They doubled down on this monopoly price-gouging during the pandemic supply shocks, raising prices well above the pandemic shortage costs.
The housing market is monopolized in ways that will be familiar to anyone angry about consolidation in other markets – from eyeglasses to pharma to tech. One builder, HR Horton, is the largest player in 3 of the country's largest markets, and it has tripled its profits since 2005 while building half as many houses. Modern homebuilders don't build: they use their scale to get land at knock-down rates, slow-walk the planning process, and then farm out the work to actual construction firms at rates that barely keep the lights on:
https://www.thebignewsletter.com/p/its-the-land-stupid-how-the-homebuilder
Monopolists can increase profits by constraining supply. 60% of US markets are "highly concentrated" and the companies that dominate these markets are starving homebuilding in them to the tune of $106b/year:
https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3303984
There are some obvious fixes to this, but they are either unlikely under Trump (antitrust action to break up builders based on their share in each market) or impossible to imagine (closing tax loopholes that benefit large building firms). Likewise, we could create a "homes guarantee" that would act as an "automatic stabilizer." That would mean that any time the economy slips into recession, this would trigger automatic funding to pay firms to build public housing, thus stimulating the economy and alleviating the housing supply crisis:
https://www.peoplespolicyproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/SocialHousing.pdf
The Homes Guarantee is further explained in a separate article in the package by Sulma Arias from People's Action, who describes how grassroots activists fighting redlining planted the seeds of a legal guarantee of a home:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-why-we-need-homes-guarantee/
Arias describes the path to a right to a home as running through the mass provision of public housing – and what makes that so exciting is that public housing can be funded, administered and built by local or state governments, meaning this is a thing that can happen even in the face of a hostile or indifferent federal regime.
In Paul E Williams's story on FIMBY (finance in my back yard), the executive director of Center for Public Enterprise offers an inspirational story of how local governments can provide thousands of homes:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-fimby-finance-in-my-backyard/
Williams recounts the events of 2021 in Montgomery County, Maryland, where a county agency stepped in to loan money to a property developer who had land, zoning approval and work crews to build a major new housing block, but couldn't find finance. Montgomery County's Housing Opportunities Commission made a short-term loan at market rates to the developer.
By 2023, the building was up and the loan had been repaid. All 268 units are occupied and a third are rented at rates tailored to low-income tenants. The HOC is the permanent owner of those homes. It worked so well that Montgomery's HOC is on track to build 3,000 more public homes this way:
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/25/business/affordable-housing-montgomery-county.html
Other – in red states! – have followed suit, with lookalike funds and projects in Atlanta and Chattanooga, with "dozens" more plans underway at state and local levels. The Massachusetts Momentum Fund is set to fund 40,000 homes.
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/25/business/affordable-housing-montgomery-county.html
The Center for Public Enterprise has a whole report on these "Government Sponsored Enterprises" and the role they can play in creating a supply of homes priced at a rate that working people can afford:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-fimby-finance-in-my-backyard/
Of course, for a GSE to loan money to build a home, that home has to be possible. YIMBYs are right to point to restrictive zoning as a major impediment to building new homes, and Robert Cruickshank from California YIMBY has a piece breaking down the strategy for fixing zoning:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-make-it-legal-to-build/
Cruickshank lays out NIMBY success stories in cities like Austin and Minneapolis adopting YIMBY-style zoning rules and seeing significant improvements in rental prices. These success stories are representative of a broader recognition – at least among Democratic politicians – that restrictive zoning is a major contributor to the housing emergency.
Repeating these successes in the rest of the country will take a long time, and in the meantime, American tenants are sitting ducks for predatory landlords, With criminal enterprises like Realpage enabling collusive price-fixing for housing and monopoly developers deliberately restricting supplies to keep prices up (a recent Blackrock investor communique gloated over the undersupply of housing as a source of profits for its massive portfolio of rental properties), tenants pay more and more of their paychecks for worse and worse accommodations. They can't wait for the housing emergency to be solved through zoning changes and public housing. They need relief now.
That's where tenants' unions come in, as Ruthy Gourevitch and Tara Raghuveer of the Tenant Union Federation writes in their piece on the tenants across the country who are coordinating rent strikes to protest obscene rent-hikes and dangerous living conditions:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-12-11-look-for-the-tenant-union/
They describe a country where tenants work multiple jobs, send the majority of their take-home pay to their landlords – a quarter of tenants pay 70% of their wages in rent – and live in vermin-filled homes without heat or ventilation:
https://www.phenomenalworld.org/analysis/terms-of-investment/
Public money from Freddie Mae and Fannie Mac flood into the speculative market for multifamily homes, a largely unregulated, subsidized speculative bonanza that lets the wealthy make bets and the poor pay their losses.
In response, tenants unions are popping up all across the country, especially in red state cities like Bozeman, MT and Louisville, KY. They organize for "just cause" evictions that ban landlords from taking their homes away. They seek fair housing voucher distribution practices. They seek to close eviction loopholes like the LA wheeze that lets landlords kick you out following "renovations."
The National Tenant Policy Agenda demands "national rent caps, anti-eviction protections, habitability standards, and antitrust action," measures that would immediately and profoundly improve the lives of millions of American workers:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JF1-fTalW1tOBO0FhYDcVvEd1kQ2HIzkYFNRo6zmSsg/edit
They caution that it's not enough to merely increase housing supply. Without a strong countervailing force from organized tenants, new housing can be just another source of extraction and speculation for the rich. They say that the Federal Housing Finance Agency – regulator for Fannie and Freddie – could play an active role in ensuring that new housing addresses the needs of people, not corporations.
In the meantime, a tenants' union in KC successfully used a rent strike – where every tenant in a building refuses to pay rent – to get millions in overdue repairs. More strikes are planned across the country.
The American system is in crisis. A country that cannot house its people is a failure. As Rachael Dziaba writes in the final piece for the package, the situation is so bad that water has started to flow uphill: the cities with the most inward migration have the least job growth:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-10-18-housing-blues/
It's not just housing, of course. Americans pay more for health care than anyone else in the rich world and get worse outcomes than anyone else in the rich world. Their monopoly grocers have spiked their food prices. The incoming administration has declared war on public education and seeks to relegate poor children to unsupervised schools where "education" can consist of filling in forms on a Chromebook and learning that the Earth is only 5,000 years old.
A system that can't shelter, feed, educate or care for its people is a failure. People in failed states will vote for anyone who promises to tear the system down. The decision to turn life's necessities over to unregulated, uncaring markets has produced a populace who are so desperate for change, they'll even vote for their own destruction.

San Francisco 1960-1985. Part 2
The Lion Lounge was the worlds longest running all male strip club. It was in SF, open seven days a week, and between 1960 and 1985 was owned and run by partners Eddie Jones and Raymond O'Hare.
Eddie and Ray were huge pro wrestling nerds and actually met at a pro show in 1950, so when they bought the Lion Lounge they knew they wanted to feature live underground pro wrestling shows. There was an underserved market of pro fans who preferred their wrestling more 'intimate', and they planned to serve it. And then some.
In the main bar upstairs is where the strippers would work, however it was downstairs where the best action happened, if you were a pro wrestling fan. Only accessible by 'downstairs' club members, the basement was a dark, cozy affair, with room for around 40 members. There was a small bar at the back of the room and a pro wrestling ring in the middle of the room.
Things started off slow, as they gradually introduced the wrestling shows. The lounge had always been a strip joint, so that element kept the dollars coming in. They put on some small invite only shows, hoping to build up a following through word of mouth. It worked, and within six months there were wrestling shows every night, with a waiting list for membership. They also built up a network of wrestlers of all sizes, ages and styles, who'd come and wrestle every week. Other wrestlers who were in town for a few days or weeks would come down and wrestle too. It was a great way to make some extra cash, especially if you caught the eye of wealthy member. SF was a destination for a lot of people escaping their shitty small towns/relationships/lives etc, who wanted a new start. If they could wrestle they could try out. Eddie and Ray really looked after all their wrestlers, particularly the younger ones, or the ones down on their luck. Helping them find places to stay or get jobs, or medical attention and provide them with wrestling gear. Younger wrestlers who didn't cut it in the ring were often employed as bar/waiting staff or busboys etc. The older wrestlers would often be employed as bouncers. Some wrestlers came and went, others stayed over 20 years, in various roles. Lifelong friendships were made, tag teams formed, relationships blossomed along with flings, rivalries, fall outs, affairs and jealousies.
Friday and Saturday nights were dedicated to sex wrestling, featuring more defined, clean cut looking types. The wrestling was real, but the sex/gimmick was the focus on these nights, with oil, rip and strip, mud wrestling etc. Sometimes the guys would just wrestle naked.
The 'proper' pro action happened on the other nights. There was usually 3 matches per night, with a sex round after each bout, where the winner fucked the loser. If the match was a draw then the audience would decide who topped who.
Mondays was always the newcomers night, where the younger wrestlers would face off. It was vital to do well here to try and bump yourself up the card, get yourself more matches in the coming weeks and months, and most importantly gain fans, who'd want to come and see you every time you wrestled.
Tuesdays was for the more established younger wrestlers, while Wednesdays was the night for the members who liked to watch a mix of older vs younger fights (bear vs cub was popular) and dad/son vs dad/son tag matches.
Thursdays and Sundays were the nights for the popular big boys and Lion Lounge championship title holders. These were the nights to see some really incredible singles and tag matches with the most popular men. Always a mix of tough technical matches and all out bloody brutal brawls. There would always be at least one chain match on a Sunday. V popular with the leather/S&M crowd.
Outside, the venue would have photos in display cases (taken in a small studio at the top of the building by Eddie) showing that weeks performers. On one side of the entrance would be the strippers, the other side would be the wrestlers.
The images here are of some of the wrestlers over the years.

I read and laid out Trump's "DEFENDING WOMEN FROM GENDER IDEOLOGY EXTREMISM AND RESTORING BIOLOGICAL TRUTH TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT" so you don't have to. Aka, the starting brigade on trans rights.
Trump defined sex as an "immutable" biological classification at birth with it innately only being male or female.
Defined terms such as "women" and "man" only being for adult biological males or females.
Defines male and female as "sex that produces the small reproductive cell".
Defined "gender ideology" as "replaces the biological category of sex with an ever-shifting concept of self-assessed gender identity".
Defined "gender identity" as "reflects a fully internal and subjective sense of self, disconnected from biological reality and sex..."
Declared women are "Recognizing Women Are Biologically Distinct From Men" and there will be an expansion on this order.
End protections or recognition for trans individuals in federal agencies, "Each agency and all Federal employees shall enforce laws governing sex-based rights, protections, opportunities, and accommodations to protect men and women as biologically distinct sexes.  Each agency should therefore give the terms 'sex', 'male', 'female', 'men', 'women', 'boys' and 'girls'..."
All federal agencies and employees will use sex and not gender in all applicable federal policies and documents.
Has ordered "...shall implement changes to require that government-issued identification documents, including passports, visas, and Global Entry cards, accurately reflect the holder’s sex..."
..."Agencies shall remove all statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications, or other internal and external messages that promote or otherwise inculcate gender ideology, and shall cease issuing such statements, policies, regulations, forms, communications or other messages."
Statement to attack Bostock v. Clayton County "The prior Administration argued that the Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County (2020), which addressed Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, requires gender identity-based access to single-sex spaces under, for example, Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act.  This position is legally untenable and has harmed women."
Remove transgender inmates from prisons of their gender, remove all access for gender affirming care to incarcerated individuals, "The Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security shall ensure that males are not detained in women’s prisons or housed in women’s detention centers..." may need to amend "...Part 115.41 of title 28, Code of Federal Regulations and interpretation guidance regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act." If necessary.
"...no Federal funds are expended for any medical procedure, treatment, or drug for the purpose of conforming an inmate’s appearance to that of the opposite sex."
Access to public amenities is defined by sex, "The Attorney General shall issue guidance to ensure the freedom to express the binary nature of sex and the right to single-sex spaces in workplaces and federally funded entities covered by the Civil Rights Act of 1964." And, "Agencies shall effectuate this policy by taking appropriate action to ensure that intimate spaces designated for women, girls, or females (or for men, boys, or males) are designated by sex and not identity."
States 30 days shall present a bill to modify above into law.
I may have missed some policy, comment below if I missed anything and I will add it. This was terrible to read.
120 days for federal agencies to comply
This is stated to be a part of the "Restoring Sanity" agenda.
If you're trans (or have trans loved ones), try to have a clear schedule to fume a bit before you read this crap

so. this is hard. here goes:
for the last six-ish weeks, I've had an exceptionally challenging time of things re: my haunted devil body being exceptionally haunted and full of devils, and I have missed a lot of work. a lot of work. might be losing my job soon, in fact, but I'm trying not to think about that.
I'm trying to crawl my way out of the hole, but I have nothing in the bank right now and no money coming in, literally this is a screenshot of my account from today, and it's not showing the insurance payment that put me $50 in the negative this morning.
Tumblr media
I have no other savings, my credit card's maxed out, I don't know how I'm going to pay my upcoming rent and my cupboard's down to baking ingredients and canned vegetables, so the sitch is looking pretty gd grim for me right now.
if anyone wants to donate and can afford to be kind, I'm linking my paypal and cashapp below, but I'd prefer to be able to offer something in exchange.
I think most y'all are following me because it is known that I make quilts, but that's mostly a side effect of my true hobby: collecting fabric. (this is a joke. mostly.)
I don't know that I have the energy to commit to making quilts or other complicated goods right now, but I do have a truly massive stash and excellent color sense. I've pulled these curated fat quarter collections as examples of what I have on offer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is a very small sample of what I have in my stash; I've been collecting fabrics since 2014, so I have a massive collection of rare & out-of-print fabrics from Moda, Free Spirit, Windham, RKaufman and other brands, a portion of which I've catalogued and uploaded to gdrive here.
that's nowhere near my full collection, it's just a jumping off point of what I've got to work with. I'd put fq bundles on etsy or something similar to make it easier, but the total lack of funds has temporarily kiboshed that idea.
in the meantime, I'm selling individual fat quarters for $2.50 each and curated stash-builder sets of five like the ones above for $15. I'd also be happy to make coordinating pot holders not unlike this one at $35 for a pair.
Tumblr media
(pls don't ask me for oven mitts, I don't want to talk about one of my greatest failures)
NOTE: all fabric comes from a smoke, pet and fragrance-free environment, and will not be prewashed. I know that makes a difference to a lot of folks, not just me.
I'm also open to assembling pre-cut quilt & other craft kits, PM me to discuss what you're looking to make and I'll figure out if I can make it happen for you.
I appreciate any and all help more than I have words to communicate, and I know I'm pretty damn wordy! I'm pretty far down in the weeds at the moment, and I need to raise around $1800 in the next ten days in order to pay rent, catch up on my bills and pay for food and medication.
please help out a chronically ill artist and shop my stash!

An Exercise in Futility (Part 2)
Not entire sure where I plan to go with this, but the pen calls to me and who am I to deny her?
(Part One)
Some days Yoichi felt good enough to take the stairs, but unfortunately the awkward shuffling alone was already proving too much. After the second time around, he’d been forced to plop down in one of the puffy, plastic chairs and catch his breath. In his mind, he could hear his brother scolding him for pushing himself, but he knew his struggles probably had more to do with the fact he’d neglected his morning medications and therapies. Soft coughs rocked his chest, and with a trembling hand he reached up to rub it.
To be fair, he had fully intended on continuing any prescribed treatments at home when he’d started skipping appointments–it was one of the only ways he could convince himself to go through with the lies–but after a few weeks the piles of pills and heavy masks had seemed less and less appealing.
So he’d just…stopped.
Thankfully, his brother hadn’t seemed to notice yet. The last thing he wanted was another freak out and hospital stay like he’d had earlier in the year. The scars on his chest still ached whenever he thought of the incident, urging him to rub over the freshly healed marks. Hisashi hated that particular habit of his, resorting to physically pulling his hand away whenever he did it within view of the other. Yoichi was never sure why the scars seemed to bother Hisashi more than they did him, but he’d stopped wearing the low cut, loose shirts he’d favored after he caught his brother staring at the thin, white marks with that look on his face one too many times.
Yoichi didn’t remember much of the most recent scare. He’d been in bed when it’d started, chest aching as it often did, and he’d gotten up to get some water. The next thing he knew, the toilet was painted a deep shade of red and Hisashi was at his side, gripping him like if he let him go he’d just disappear as he screamed through the manor. The rest of it was a blur, but the several months he’d spent in the hospital afterwards were burned into his mind forevermore. The wailing machines, the constant surveillance, and the lack of freedom to when pee by himself made him shutter more than the pain ever did.
He’d never say it to anyone out loud–least of all Hisashi–but after the last incident, he’d told himself that if it were to happen again he’d just let himself go.
Yoichi didn’t want to die, per say, but he didn’t want to live either, especially not like that.
Being sick was exhausting.
His watch buzzed, drawing him from his thoughts. Lifting it, he found Hisashi’s name displayed across its face.
The car is waiting outside when you’re done, don’t forget to have the receptionist give you a copy of the notes from today.
Yoichi smiled wryly, sending a little thumbs up and an “almost done!” for good measure. He sat for another minute or two before easing himself up from the chair and shuffling over to where his favorite nurse, Helga, sat behind her station. She smiled as he approached, grabbing a pen out of its holder, an appointment card at the ready. He smiled back, giving a half-hearted wave.
“How’s my favorite nurse today?” He rasped, leaning against the edge of the station for support.
Helga giggled. For a seasoned nurse well into her career, she had the laugh of a middle-schooler who’d been approached by her crush. “Yoichi, baby! It’s good to see you! How’re you feelin’? Your appointment go okay? You here for my autograph again?”
“Sure am,” he quipped, “got the pen ready for me?”
She nodded, “you know I do. Whatcha got for me today?”
“November 18th, at 2PM.” He replied easily.
“You got it.” She was already neatly transcribing the information onto the little piece of cardstock. “I keep telling you the lovely lads and ladies over in Dr. Millard’s office would be happy to write this down for you, baby, you just gotta ask when you make the appointment.”
“Sure, if I actually made an appointment, I’m sure they would.” He thought to himself, instead choosing to say. “Yeah, but then I wouldn’t have a reason to come see you, would I?”
“You don’t need a reason to see me, baby, you know that! I’m always happy to say hello to my favorite patient.” She hummed, neatly signing the bottom of the card with a little flourish and a smiley face. “But there you go, I’ll see you in two weeks, okay? Oh, well, hm, no maybe I won’t…”
Yoichi’s heart jumped a little, but he swallowed his panic and smiled. “Oh? Why not?”
“My actual baby is getting married! We’re traveling up north for the wedding, so I’ll be out for a few weeks, but like I said, everyone else would be more than happy to help you!”
Yoichi nodded, pulling his lips into a little smile as he resisted the urge to sigh. He wasn’t sure what he’d do if Helga left for good. There was only so long he could use the “I lost my reminder card” excuse with the other staff. Eventually, someone would look him up in the system and realize that his last actual appointment was six months ago and he’d canceled every single one since. Then they’d call Hisashi, since his older brother was technically his legal guardian, and all hell would break loose.
Yoichi couldn’t risk that, he was already pretty sure his brother was starting to suspect something–Hisashi always had been frustratingly good at reading him–so Yoichi had to make sure he had no reason to do so. Next time he’d have to bite the bullet and actually schedule a real appointment, then cancel it as soon as he’d opened the reminder text in view of his brother. That was usually enough to quell any suspicions Hisashi had.
He thanked Helga, wishing her the best and congratulating her on her kid’s marriage before making his way down to the ground floor and out the door.

Misc. Short Demon Stories
Untitled stories about demons that weren't written as part of my Vandalize series. Second one probably fits into it though.
"What'cha guys watching?"
"One a them creepy girlchildren found Zep's summoning circle in a book, she's trying to make offerings."
"Oh shit, lemme see."
The three demons stood over a misty scrying pool, and in it's waters watched a young girl chanting in her treehouse, summoning circle etched into the wood, a dead bird in the center.
"Nice. Love getting summoned by weird little girls, they want the best shit."
"Last time I got one she gave me three baby teeth and 15 canadian dollars in exchange for making her good at drawing Inuyasha."
"Did you give her the whole show or just the character?"
The demon shrugged.
"I made her good at drawing in general."
"Softie. You gonna pick up or what, Zep?"
"Nah. I mean, if she had killed the bird it'd be one thing, but she just found it on the sidewalk."
"She's like ten, you want her to kill a bird?"
"I want her to do something. Prick her finger, I dunno. Hang on, I'm getting another call."
The scrying pool shifted to show a man etching the summoning circle into the flesh of a headless corpse.
"Oh, this fucking guy again. Hate getting serial killers."
"Ooh I'm decapitating people and carving occult symbols into their flesh, look at me! Dickheads. Get new material."
"Go back to the kid, this sucks."
The pool shifted back to the treehouse, where the child was dripping blood from the tip of her finger onto the dead bird.
"YEAAHHH!"
"NICE!"
"Okay okay, I'll go see what she wants."
Zep dissipated into smoke, and the two others waited, the scrying pool no longer showing the child now that the summons had been answered. After a few long minutes, she reappeared.
"Well?"
"The pact has been made. Her parents will agree to get her a puppy. And in exchange…"
She took a stack of foil packets out of her sleeve.
"Pokemon cards."
"Siiiiiiiick."

"I uh, I think that there's been um, some kind of mistake?" Kaylee said, looking very intently at the ceiling of her room.
"It's okay hun, don't be shy! Lotta people do this, it's no big thing." Said the succubus now lounging in the center of her room, clad only in a-
To call it a slutty nurse outfit was an understatement. This was slutty costume design on a level mortal minds could never dream to achieve.
"No, no there's actually been a mistake." Kaylee said, her face burning. "You're very pretty, but I was looking for uh, actual medical help."
"And you got it, doll! Hell's very own gender affirming care agency, at your service!" The succubus beamed at her. "How can we help you today?"
Kaylee flicked her eyes back to the demon, made sure she was seeing correctly.
"You look like a succubus?"
"What kind of demon do you think should be handlin' your sexy bits? Gettin' you all prettied up? Trust me doll, when it comes to fleshcraft there ain't nobody better! Whaddaya want?"
Kaylee swallowed. She really hadn't expected this to actually work.
"Um. Just, you know. Girl I guess. Make me a girl."
"Gotta give me more to work with than that, hon. What're you having trouble with?" The demoness said, slinking up to her and throwing an arm around her shoulder familiarly. "Tell your pal Vicky how mortal medicine's failed ya, I'll see what I can do."
"I, I dunno, all of it I guess?" Kaylee shrank inward, clutching her own elbows. She had never said any of this out loud to anyone before. "It's just so daunting, you know? Trying to get psychiatrists to put you on waiting lists to get on pills that'll take years to do anything. I want it to be easy."
"Well don't you worry toots, we pride ourselves on being easy."
Kaylee cracked a tiny smile, she had walked right into that one.
"Alright I'm gonna ask you some questions, just answer as honestly as you can."
Vicky poofed to the other side of the room, sitting in Kaylee's computer chair with a clipboard in one hand and a cigarette holder in the other. "So tell me doll, what kinda timeline you looking for here?" She said, taking a drag while she waited for Kaylee's answer.
"Fast, I guess? Faster than it would be otherwise."
"How important is retaining a resemblance to your current appearance, family, etc."
"Um. Depends on the end result I guess?"
"How important is it that people not realize your transition was magically aided?"
"Not very?"
"Would you want people to remember you as always having been a girl?"
"You can do that?"
"Sure can, hon. Expensive though."
"…Depends on the person, I guess?"
"Mm. Okay, you're giving me very noncommittal answers here sugar. Want me to just run through the basic contracts for you?"
"S-Sorry. Sure."
"Okay. Cheap or expensive first?"
"Cheap."
"Ugh, c'mon doll, show some moxie! We're doin' magic here! You deserve more than the bare minimum!"
"Are you just saying that because you want to eat my soul?"
"Ehehe, a lady never tells." Vicky said coyly.
"Cheap, please."
"Fiddlesticks."

Vampire Akechi AU
Akechi x Aiura + Saiki & all of his friends (shenanigans), inspired by convo w/ @oatmealcrisp-freak, thank u!!)
Aiura notices that when she's getting her blood drawn, the cute lil friendly blond phlebotomist takes two vials of blood when she knows she's only getting tested for one thing. Since he found her vein easily and is incredibly chatty, she lets it go.
However, the next time she needs blood drawn, Akechi takes her into his room almost as soon as she signs in even though she's early for her appointment. He's friendly and chatty again, and when she asks why he pulled her in right away, he says that he remembers her cute face and tricky veins, and fears that the other less-competent staff might get distracted and miss the vein.
Aiura is mollified and forgets to check the tubes until the end of the appointment, when she sees the two tubes in the holder again. Instead of leaving the room, she shuts the door behind her and asks Akechi why there's an extra vial.
Akechi immediately starts to sweat, or whatever the vampire equivalent is. Aiura can see his bright aura and can't imagine him being evil. Akechi apologizes for his greed - normally he only takes a little extra blood in the syringe from each patient instead of a whole vial, but Aiura's blood is so delicious and the pickings have been slimmer ever since the lab administration stopped accepting walk-ins and changed some of their offerings.
Another patient starts to enter the room, and they startle. Akechi hands Aiura one of his personal calling cards (for his private detective side-hustle) and says she can call him anytime after hours for more discussion. She already knows where he works, after all.
Afterwards, when Aiura does call him, she asks if he drank that second vial of blood. He admits that he did, reasoning that he couldn't very well return it, and there was no need for the extra blood for her medical tests, so he drank it. He can't help but enthuse about how much more delicious her blood was this time with the extra iron, and thanks her profusely for the meal.
Curious, Aiura asks if he'd meet her at a café. He agrees and suggests lunch. She's surprised he can go out during the day, and he reminds her that they met at the lab during the day. He just dresses formally to cover as much skin as possible, then uses his own custom sunscreen and sunglasses and a hat when he's outside. He still can't be out in the sun for too long, but it's enough for him to get from his car to inside a building and back. If the sunscreen has worn off, he retreats to a bathroom to apply more before heading out.
Akechi ends up ordering a latte and Aiura is surprised to see him actually drinking it. He explains that he can drink any liquid and that whole milk is actually a really good supplement to blood since it includes lots of fat and protein in it, but blood is what he can digest the best, and the less blood he drinks, the more corpse-like he becomes. No blood for long enough and he'll be unable to go out in the day at all, and he'll be super low on energy and brainpower.
Akechi tries to only take blood as ethically as he can, and at the smallest amount for him to be comfortable. If he were to properly fill up on blood, he could use the full gamut of vampire powers. As it is, he can only perform hypnosis on a single person if he really concentrates, and he can turn into his small bat form to escape a situation.
Aiura is curious about the other vampire powers but Akechi shrugs and says that the other powers are most useful for combat. He's not in the business of fighting anyone, so drinking more blood would only make him feel physically full and more comfortable, but also feel poorly emotionally if it wasn't ethically sourced. Should another vampire that was less careful about consumption enter Akechi's territory, then he would consider fueling up to get rid of the other one. But even then, in that case it would be a better tactical choice to let Saiki fill up on that blood to go on the offense.
Aiura's surprised that there are other vampires, though she supposes she shouldn't be. Akechi tells her that Saiki is the one who turned him. Aiura wonders if Saiki has power over Akechi due to turning him, and Akechi laughs. Saiki had never been able to control Akechi before, and that hasn't changed after death.
Saiki's the kind of vampire that was born that way and whose aging slows to a stop over time. He was probably born like 20 years before Akechi but their development synced up really well at once point and they became best friends.
At first, Akechi would beg to be turned into a vampire, but Saiki would refuse, not wanting him to suffer as he does. Eventually as Akechi gets older, he accepts his mortality and his ability to feed Saiki with his blood, and stops asking to be turned. However, in his early 30s Akechi is diagnosed with a terminal illness, and Saiki is consumed with grief at the thought of losing his only friend. When Akechi is unconscious on the hospital bed, close to death, Saiki loses control and turns him into a vampire.
Saiki considers this the height of selfishness, but Akechi is very happy to be practically alive and very well. He adjusts quickly to vampirism and soon figures out easy and ethical ways to get blood.
However, Saiki really tries to not drink blood so that he 1) doesn't hurt anyone and 2) doesn't get all his powers flooding back. Akechi cajoles him into having some blood whenever he thinks Saiki is too low on it, but Saiki still spends a lot of his time motionless in the dark.
Until Nendo breaks into Saiki's house and decides this spooky vampire mansion is free real estate. The sheer indignity has Saiki so mad that he bites Nendo without thinking and has his first proper sip in a long long time. This doesn't seem to bother Nendo at all, and he happily moves in to the mansion. Saiki will never admit it, but he does actually enjoy how Nendo livens up the place, and logically, having a free blood source is a good idea. Maybe he can even share with Akechi and repay some of his imagined debt.
Then Nendo starts inviting in pretty much everyone who he overhears having trouble with housing or family, and Saiki ends up with a mansion full of new friends.
At this point, the hypothetical chapters would alternate between Aiura x Akechi dates (milkshakes, smoothies, romantic walks under the stars, cuddling at home, silly tiny bat times, maybe a sippy or two) and Saiki encountering yet another random human in his home.
Kuboyasu is a 35yo freshly divorced dilf with no clue what to do with his life now. Kaido's a 28yo who tried to stay in college forever but was forced to graduate and doesn't know what to do with his life. Toritsuka, a 40yo deadbeat, came to "exorcise" the mansion in an attempt to gain fame, discovered Saiki, and decides to move in and try to cajole Saiki into giving him epic vampire powers. Hairo is a 60yo who won't stop the hashtag grind even though his joints are definitely feeling it. Teruhashi is an 18yo runaway and Saiki has to deal with her extremely unfortunate crush because he would feel terrible kicking a baby like her out to the wolves. Yumehara is 23 and tries to be a friend and role model to Teruhashi with mixed success. Mera, 50, just wants to save on rent. Saiko, 40yo, is also there escaping his family, much to Saiki's chagrin. Why does a millionaire need to squat in HIS house??
Since Akechi masquerades pretty efficiently as a human, he has his own apartment near his job (difficult to commute inconspicuously from the famously huge and haunted mansion at the edge of town), and generally visits Saiki at night as a bat, if he's not doing a little investigation for a client. He's very pleased to see Saiki looking healthy and happy for the first time ever, as much as he complains about his growing zoo. When Akechi introduces Aiura to Saiki, Aiura actually recognizes him from several dreams she's had, though Saiki looks wayyyy more hydrated and pink now than in the visions she had seen.
Conveniently the visions Aiura had are about the plot. Kusuke is still alive, and though he should be 70+, he figured out how to slow his own aging via science and studying Kusuo. He's angry that Kusuo prefers to starve than to reach his full potential, and that Kusuo chose to spend his immortal life with Akechi instead of him. Finding out that now Kusuo is keeping the company of like 10 human failures is the final straw for Kusuke.
Kusuke injects Kusuo with a chemical that fools his body into thinking it's empty of nutrients, which triggers a vampire 𝖇𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉 𝖒𝖆𝖉𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖘 and overrides Kusuo's better judgement. Kusuo actually being full of blood works in Kusuke's favor, because he has the full gamut of his powers too while going on a wild rampage as a monstrous giant bat. Akechi, Aiura, and all the mansion residents have to work together to stop Kusuo from trashing the place and escaping to feed on the local populace, all while fighting off Kusuke's army of brainless undead zombies.
With everyone's combined efforts, they manage to get Saiki into the basement, which is the strongest part of the house, and get him pretty calm. Then Kusuke shows up in person, hoping to rile Kusuo up into turning him. Kusuo doesn't attack him like Kusuke expected, so Kusuke starts shooting at his human friends to get him to react. Kusuo protects them all with his own body instead, and struggles to think of a way to stop Kusuke without killing him.
Then Akechi slips out under his massive wing in his own tiny bat form, swooping onto Kusuke's face and grabbing his head. He lines up his eyes with Kusuke's and with the extra power from Aiura's blood, is able to hypnotize him into putting the weapons down and make him fall asleep.
When Kusuke comes to, he's chained up (with Aiura's hot pink and fluffy BDSM gear for lack of better equipment), and his brother is regarding him with disappointment. Kusuke promises not to do that again, but Kusuo doesn't really believe him. Kusuke pleads that he just wants his brother back, and Nendo pops in and invites him to just move in. Kusuke initially scoffs at the idea of living with dirty lesser humans, but Kusuo smiles at the idea, and Kusuke changes his mind.
Kusuke moves in and has his remaining zombies help patch up the mansion. True to his word, he doesn't try to rile up Kusuo again, nor take over the world, though he naturally still continues his sussy experiments. He actually ends up becoming good friends with Akechi too, and they & Kusuo often play competitive games together.
And Aiura and Akechi become an official couple and share a wing of the mansion, and Aiura asked to get turned after a while. They find a baby vampire that's similar to Kusuo (in that it will age for a while and then stop) and raise them as their child, and Saiki's home remains a safe haven for any humans that are open-minded and in need of community. <3

!!YOU ASKED FOR THEM!!
This post hit 5 likes so, headcanons.
PART 1/3
I'm not doing every single character, just the ones that felt plot important to me. These are (mostly) based on pacifist/true ending.
!!!OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS!!!
Ace
Personality Headcanons: He used to be a hardcore gambling addict as a way to cope with his post-war stress. He was also probably a heavy drinker. Both of these things he's had a solid recovery from since joining TF4. Starlo probably found him down on his luck and in a lot of debt. He still drinks and gambles, just not nearly as much as he used to. He's probably somewhere in his mid 30s ~34-37. He's the last person you want to play casual poker with though. He always wins. He's also pretty good at throwing darts but doesn't bother with it as much as card games. Physical Headcanons: He's left handed. ~5'09". He has to walk with a cane sometime from a childhood accident that never fully healed due to the lack of medical access in the underground. Because of that too he doesn't know exactly what his condition is either. He just knows some days his knee hurts and some days it doesn't. Gender: Trans Male Pronouns: He/Him Orientation: Demisexual Demiromantic but just says he's aroace for simplicity. Post Game: Life continues on as it was going for him without much drastic change. Opinions: I really love his design, I just wish we got more of him. 3/5.
Axis Personality Headcanons: He doesn't need to eat but will feel left out if you eat without him. Chujin would always have lunch with him at the lab while he still worked there. Axis would try to mimic eating sounds to feel included. Like imagine robot voice going "Om nom nom." Thats sort of what he did. While locked away in the abandoned lab he started to grow really fond of bugs and mice. Physical Headcanons: I don't have many other than Chujin based his design after a drawing Kanako did. Somewhere around the high end of 4ft. Gender: He doesn't have the RAM for a gender. Pronouns: He/It Orientation: Asexual Panromantic. He loves his trash girlfriend. Post Game: He got married to the girlfriend Clover and Ceroba made for him. Neither of them personally wanted kids so they made a trash dog out of spare parts. Eventually Axis ran out of battery and or was too damaged from sitting inactive for so long that he broke down. He was thankful that his trash gf and trash dog didn't leave his side in his final moments. Somewhere in the abandoned lab, he's sitting, holding her hand with their dog at his feet. They'll probably stay like that, undisturbed, for a long time. Opinions: He's a really cute character. I sort of wish we had more time with him instead of seeing him as a late game enemy. Very silly. 3/5.
Ceroba (I'm going to get turned into a sandwich for this) Personality Headcanons: She smokes out of a cigarette holder. One of the really long ones. She only started smoking after Chujin died. She has a lot of baggage she tends to just push away and not ever address even when it affects her and others around her negatively. She has a really strong victim complex and while yeah, she hasn't exactly been dealt the best hand, she also tends to make things worse for herself on purpose to get sympathy from other people, as to why she picked up smoking after Chujin died. She used to be a model but quit modelling when Chujin was dying. After her husband passed she tended to be neglectful of Kanako until she found her in Chujin's home lab and the rest is history. She tends to take advantage of people's generosity, especially Starlo's, she's always been like this but the habit only got worse over time. She does genuinely feel like she has nothing despite having friends because she believes her own shallow feelings towards her friends are mutual when that isn't the case. She's in her early 40s ~40-43. Physical Headcanons: She has a mombod (more body fat in her lower half, flatter chest, smaller arms but wider legs) and she can work with it. I know she canonically wears a bow in her hair but I like to interpret it as a bandana. Her hair is usually messy. Even if she doesn't have the energy to get well dressed or style her hair she ALWAYS puts on eyeliner and makes it look sleek and demanding so everyone knows she's not someone they want to fuck with, with just a single glare. She's ~ 6'02". Gender: Cis Female Pronouns: She/Her Orientation: Bisexual. Was always kind of curious about polyamory but never enough to have a talk with her husband about it. Post Game: Asgore was really thankful that she had collected a human soul and gave her all the credit, which she happily took. Martlet and Starlo didn't want that on their names. She had a short lived fame once again during which she seemed to be doing better, thankful to be back in the spotlight, even if it was a small one. But after a falling out with her long time best friend she began to live as a recluse, rarely stepping out of her home. Opinions: I do NOT like her and I find it really hard to sympathize with her character. Her writing? Solid. I like that I don't like her. I liked that when I was watching a playthrough I was screaming at my TV because I actually kind of hate her. I actually think she was an excellent twist villain. I ADORED her character at first like "YES!! Country gal's kick ass! She's a bad bitch." But yeah uh... after finding out what she did to both her child and then did the same thing to Clover I kind of lost my love for her. Which is fine because the twist was good and when I looked back there was a lot of foreshadowing. 5/5. Fantastic writing.
Chujin Personality Headcanons: Had some kind of anxiety disorder. Probably also OCD. He HATED humans with a burning passion. Like to a dangerous degree. He used to go on rambles about how angry humanity made him to Ceroba but one time one of his angry rambles frightened Kanako because she thought they were fighting. So, he stopped talking about it when she was home. He wanted to do everything in his power to protect his daughter. He'd be turning in his grave if he found out what Ceroba did to their daughter. He had several of her drawings/paintings/crafts in his cubicle. He passed away ~35-36. Physical Headcanons: I don't have many. Short king. Probably like ~5'03". Gender: Said male on legal forms but had a whole gender crisis he never got to figure out due to passing away before he could find a comfortable label. Pronouns: He/Him but was experimenting with they/them. Orientation: Bisexual Post Game: N/A Opinions: GOOD background character. I don't agree with a lot of his methods but that's fine. He was written so well I actually felt able to peer into his life through the limited scenes we got with him. 5/5.
Clover (HELP TUMBLR GOT RID OF YELLOW TEXT???) Personality Headcanons: Had a neglectful mother and a father who was probably abusive in multiple ways. They either lived in a trailer or a small mobile home. They're from the southern USA. They have an obsession with Old Westerns (from ~50s-70s) and Detective shows (from the 90s). When they decided to go looking for the missing kids they couldn't decide if they wanted to be a cowboy and go into the underground shoot-em-up style or go dressed up like a detective and be all cool and casual about collecting evidence. They decided to be both and call it being "A Cowtective." They're around the age of ~9-12. At home they would usually sleep on the couch. If their father was drunk and passed out on the couch they'd just sleep on the floor because they weren't allowed in their parent's room. They probably say "fuck" a lot. Starlo was trying to get them to cut back on swearing. Probably either a December Capricorn or a September Libra. Physical Headcanons: Freckles. Brown eyes. Gapped teeth. ~5". Tends to pick scabs so they have a few small scars here and there from relentless picking. Gender: Nonbinary Pronouns: They/She Orientation: Lesbian, but probably would have eventually picked a different label if they had the chance to grow up. Post Game: N/A Opinions: I actually really like that Clover has both personality but is also vague enough for the player to put themself in their boots. This is what really makes for a terrific silent main character. I would have liked to get to know Clover a little bit more tbh. 4/5.
Dalv Personality Headcanons: I don't actually have much on Dalv. He probably likes Funyuns and watching true crime. Probably in his 20s. He's about the same age Kanako would be if she grew up. Maybe a little older but not by much. Physical Headcanons: I like drawing him with completely black eyes. I don't see it a lot but I like it. ~5'08" Gender: Don't Have One Pronouns: Don't Have One Orientation: Multisexual of some sort Post Game: At some point somehow, word probably got to him about what happened to his friend that vanished (I'm with the theory squad that says his friend was Kanako). He get's REALLY pissed off at Ceroba and cuts ties. He doesn't really leave Snowdin much but it's fine because, carrying the memories of Clover, he makes a lot of new friends and even becomes pretty popular in the small town. RAREPAIR: He starts going out with Martlet. Opinions: To me he felt kind of lack luster. And as the first plot-important character we meet in the game, he didn't really rope me in. He felt kind of like a last minute decision. I dropped the game a few months ago because I didn't feel pulled in until I finished it this May. However, his name is vlad backwards which gets points. 2/5 Keed Vampeer.

Marriage Visa in Thailand
The Marriage Visa in Thailand (Non-Immigrant O Visa) is granted to foreign spouses of Thai nationals. It allows the holder to reside in the country for one year.
Key Requirements:
Legal Marriage: The applicant must be legally married to a Thai citizen. This requires a valid marriage certificate issued by Thai authorities or a foreign marriage certificate that has been translated and certified by the Thai government.
Financial Stability: Applicants must demonstrate financial stability. This can be achieved by:
Bank Deposit: Having a minimum of 400,000 Thai Baht deposited in a Thai bank account for at least 60 days before the visa application.
Monthly Income: Proving a monthly income of at least 40,000 Thai Baht.

Other Documents:
Passports of both spouses
Thai spouse's ID card and household registration
Marriage certificate
Proof of financial stability (bank statements, income certificates, etc.)
Photographs
Medical certificate
Application Process:
Application: The application is typically made at the Immigration Office in the province where the couple resides.
Processing Time: Processing times can vary.
Renewal: The Marriage Visa can be renewed annually while residing in Thailand.
Important Considerations:
90-Day Report: Visa holders are required to report to the Immigration Office in their area of residence every 90 days.
Re-entry Permit: If leaving and re-entering Thailand during the visa validity period, a re-entry permit is required.
Work Permits: While the Marriage Visa allows residence, it generally does not grant automatic work authorization in Thailand. A separate work permit is usually required.

San Francisco 1960-1985. Part 3 - The Monday night boys.
