coalecroux is such a funny dynamic because they're both in denial of each other's feelings for completely different reasons.

kremy is a conniving alligator who would never admit to others he fell for another person. that would make him seem weak. he's the smooth talker, the one who scams people and gets away with it with no shame. how could someone like him fall in love?

gideon's just like "my old pal kremy :)) he's just my friend whom i sleep in the same bed with and i let him control me!! such good bussiness associates we are."

Gideon leans into the whole "big dumb idiot" thing, cause folks are gonna assume that about him anyway, but he wishes people saw him as smarter. Learning from books doesn't come naturally to him, but once he gets his hands on something *real* he'll have it figured out quick. People don't really give him the chance, though. It makes him feel a little bad, like he's too stupid to be let in on things or give input on anything.

In my headcanon, Kremy did indeed always have a love for unicorns deep down (cause even after they left the carnival, Kremy still loves unicorns) but wouldn’t ever say anything about it because god forbid he look soft or weak, but then his found family just immediately jumped on board with his love for the mythical creatures and he figured out “oh. This ain’t so bad. If they still respect me, then whatever else anyone thinks doesn’t matter” and happily declared it for anyone to hear

My personal take on the coalecroux official wedding rings (like they are dating and perhaps decide to do an actual wedding) is that they can look like anything but they must be enchanted. One always feels like the cold side of a pillow and the other always feels like a warm blanket. Yes the former goes to Gideon and the latter to Kremy

I need to draw Kremy god damn Lecroux but I’m better with humans and I’m so mad I’m not a scaly/furry. They always serve but SIGHH… I think Kremy would be so cute as a kid, like cute lil squeaks hatchlings make.

Kremy is so runt of the litter core to me, his mother could’ve held him in her palm when he first hatched. So small, so fragile, so different from the man that’s larger than life.

On a better note: my Coalecroux and general found family heart is being fed so well with these episodes!!!!!!!! There is so much stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Esp episodes 31-38 it’s just very good I love them the goobers

i wanted to write a quick 3-chapter fic for day 4 of loa shiptober (how they met i think) and i (a fool) was like. yeah. i could totally write 3 chapters in a few hours. i was wrong. SO wrong. haven’t even finished kremy’s (the first one).

so instead have a maybe-past-kremy design that im conflicted about compared to his current design, as a peace offering

ouaw ep 45 spoilers - talking about Kremy's spirituality

something about Kremy saying "And I believe in the Baron, that's why made the deals I did. Because when I die I want to have a good time too." absolutely shattered me.

I'm projecting here but why is that sentiment all too familiar? That nasty feeling you sometimes get when you're really struggling and that maybe once you're on the other side it'll all be better, struggles gone, a reward for all you've been through. Out of all the party members and generally out of everything, I never thought to consider Kremy as a genuinely religious/spiritual but it makes sense. "When I die I want to have a good time too" is so heartbreaking, just thinking what is behind that, how much he must have and still is struggling, how difficult things are for him and yet he has these beliefs, he has, deep down, compassion for himself and so refuses to abandon hope. He believes in himself, that he'll do good enough, that him trying his best will grant him the grace of being a part of the Baron's eternal celebration.

Like I never thought I'd see religious trauma in Kremy, which in hindsight is really stupid because it genuinely is right there in his backstory and Garou and you just need to stop to consider it and yeah,,,,

*intense projecting* but I was raised rather strictly christian, I have a lot of luggage from that, but I've found my path and calling in being pagan, norse pagan exactly, and the way Kremy spoke about the Baron somehow really resonated with me and my beliefs of Valhalla. And also wanting to fight with and for Odin once Ragnarok comes, which others may consider idk gruesome or sth, it's not an eternal bliss like in others religions, and so the element of Kremy talking about how being turned into swap spirits or sth maybe isn't the worst, reminded me of that as well.

Idk his story to the statue really gave me a lot to think about. Also I feel like we (in the fandom space from what I've seen) don't talk at all about Kremy's spiritual side?? I think we should, I think it's such an important and interesting part of his character!!

yeah anyways, to finish this, once again, wow I can't fckn belief me and Kremy Lecroux are literally the same person like it stopped being funny. /gen /pos

Whenever the Krew settles down to actually hang up their adventuring days for good (or until something really funny happens), they each go get real actual jobs, if the carnival doesn't start back up that is.

Kremy opens his own restaurant. A casino would have been more fun but. Bad memories. Plus he really doesn't wanna be run out of this town, he *bought* a *house*. He's staying until it burns down, which is unfortunately likely when you live with a fire genasi. His restaurant is his little baby, much like the carnival (but much more legally done, to his dismay). It's actually quite popular.

Gideon likes doing more physical labor, and working with his hands. He briefly considered being a bodyguard for some uptight rich folk, but it felt like a slight betrayal to Kremy, as irrational as that is. He either lends a hand at a local farm or works at a machine/item repair shop. Who needs a dumb artificer when you have Gideon.

Gricko and Frost both start a little farm themselves. Nothing big, sort of like the kind you'd see in a backyard. They take odd jobs sometimes too, Gricko taking on the "help!! There's a big animal in a place we don't want them" jobs (mostly convincing the animal to move to a safer, less humanoid populated forest), and Frost does the ones that are more like your average "I need help repairing my item" or "can someone help me with my fucking taxes please I'm scared" jobs.

Torbek finds a job similar to Gideon's, though he mostly prefers the physical labor ones. Easier to learn, and he's used to helping with stuff around the carnival so he's great at it. He's just happy there's no possibility of falling off a really tall Ferris Wheel now

Hootsie gets to sit at home and chill. Preferably the home base is near a forest so she can go explore. Every once in a while she helps Gricko with his tasks, or helps Frost by being a rather large therapy dog for people who *really* hate taxes. She's enjoying life
