lolol in all seriousness, that’s cool! Technically, Cartman *is* in therapy. He’s seeing Thomas (Panderverse), remember? And it’s strongly implied he’s on medication (Cupid Ye). Can’t say if he’s getting better or worse, but Cartman definitely has evolved. If you want to go the redemption route, it’s been shown that it takes little for Cartman to be “fixed”. He just needs discipline, a sturdy male figure in his life. He… needs to be dominated. Literally (tsst) and if not that, he needs to get out of South Park— his biggest enabler. So, he’s not too far gone. He’s a real piece of work though, and South Park’s wellbeing (in-show and out) can’t function without him being an asshole. It’s just who he is. But whoever decides to stick with him has to have a lot of determination to deal some damage control, or keep him in check. (hm, sounds familiar…)

So, there’s your condition met. Go forth and ship kyman! 🫡

told my dad that i bought two new South Park figurines (and got two from my mom, cause she’s awesome) and his first response was disappointment……..,, that i didn’t ALSO get cartman. bc “then you’d have the whole collection!” then he made me promise to go back the next day, to also get cartman, because not having the full collection is abhorrent

“The Scoots” is a really emotional episode and it also showcases Kyle and Stan in a very telling light. They are usually the moralistic ones, especially Kyle. He is quick to tell Cartman when he is being a horrible person and attempts to put him in his place. This could be attributed to his own status as a minority and yet him and Stan exhibit classism towards Kenny for their own personal gain. They don’t try and work it out, rent him a scooter or abandon the plan all together in order to keep up their tradition of trick or treating. No, instead they invite him in and sit him down, Cartman by their side and flat out refuse to compromise on the matter. This leaves Kenny understandably hurt but they don’t budge and he ends up trying to find other people to trick or treat with instead of his best friends. Kenny also shows high levels of emotional maturity by taking himself to the school councillor to talk about how hurt he feels. This shows that although Kyle and Stan can care about a wide array of causes, working class people don’t seem to fall into a category that can preceded their selfish wants, even when it comes to their friend because it’s just Kenny. Kenny’s poor, he’s always been poor and therefore it’s okay to exclude him from their traditions because it’s the nature of things. And he’ll come back, he’ll forgive them because he always does. Because he loves them and he’s truly selfless and they know that.

I think my main complaint with all these specials coming out is that they no longer feel…special?? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to be getting new content and I always end up enjoying them regardless (and I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one too it looks like it’ll be very funny) they just lack any sort of nuance to me. Like the plots to them feel like fairly ordinary episodes, just longer, and they’re always either Randy or Cartman focused. I get that they have a contract and are obligated to put out a certain amount of specials, I just wish they’d change them up a bit? Like they just don’t hit like past specials anymore.
