FOOLSUKE WIP

to make up for me dropping bitbo/foolsuke;

so basically the story starts the same as the canon persona 5 - instead of akiren being arrested its yusuke

yusuke moves to shibuya in with a family friend (ohya) and goes to shujin academy where he meets his teacher takuto maruki and principal shido

first day of school ends up meeting popular streamer futaba isshiki and burnout goro akechi - ends up in shido’s palace inspired by the roman empire and awakens to his persona nezumi (or goemon depending on the draft)

they meet magician sumire (who’s a bunny rabbit) in the dungeons and free her in exchange for her helping them find an exit - her persona is giselle from the ballet of the same name

once they get back to the real world yusuke discovers that his record has been leaked - later when meeting goro on the roof goro confirms its because shido leaked it due to him viewing yusuke as a threat to his perfect school

shido’s basically a control freak who wants shujin to be perfect and rules the school with an iron fist - he brings students for ‘private study sessions’ that mostly consist of berating and occasionally physically abusing them - his sin is wrath instead of lust for that reason

so they end up in the palace a second time thanks to goro wanting to get more information on shido’s victims so he can officially report him to the police

instead what happens is that yusuke finds out that goro is shido’s bastard son with goro trying desperately to punish him for leaving him (and failing miserably) - goro awakens to his persona black bart

two days pass and yusuke finds out that futaba was the one who leaked his record, with her doing it so shido would stop harassing her friend kana - kana attempts suicide the next day and yusuke, goro and hifumi (who replaces mishima) are threatened with expulsion by shido

futaba wants to join yusuke and goro in the palace and they reluctantly let her come along - she gets captured by shido and awakens to her persona charlotte

that’s basically the first half of the story down so ill give the next palace rulers;

we have envy kaneshiro who takes the role of madarame with emperor akira and ren as his students - akira is the one who ends up in the palace and awakens to shūang bian (based on huyan zhuo from water margin)

then greed okumura who tbh is basically just the same but he’s a mafia don and is trying to make haru take over his position - priestess haru awakens to la pucelle (joan of arc’s nickname) in his palace

hermit ryuji who’s palace is a shipwreck slowly overflowing with water, who’s an amputee who blames himself for his mother’s death and his father’s abuse and his father is the boss of his palace in the form of a giant sea monster that attacks the ship - his persona is orwell

empress ann who’s mother basically is selling her models into sex slavery - her palace takes the form of a ochaya and ann joins the team in order to save her friend shiho - her persona is adler

after ann’s mom dies, detective princess makoto joins wanting to change the heart of her sister sae - november 11th happens and we discover that makoto is the traitor after she attempts to murder yusuke

palace 8 is madarame - who is actually yusuke’s biological dad and the man who got yusuke arrested that fateful night - his palace takes the form of a train with the engine room fight instead happening in the coal room - makoto’s true persona is alecto

they defeat madarame but oops! god of control! i dont have much of a plot for this but yusuke’s second tier is mephistopheles bc that’s fun

then the third semester features antag councillor takemi and her ‘guinea pig’ satoru yoshizawa - actually masaru yoshizawa aka morgana - his persona is don quixote

and that’s it! i also had a plan for strikers with the jail monarch’s switching and zenkichi & akane switching places with ichinose & sophia as well as a brief tactica concept with eri and yoshiro switching places but that’s basically it lol

i also altered the plot at some point having emperor makoto, empress morgana and faith akiren but that was before i dropped it lol

Achilles vs. Cú Chulainn (Greek Mythology vs Irish/ Mythology)

Let their anger be known and all warriors shall fear them!

Fighter 1: Achilles, the legendary warrior of the Trojan War.

Fighter 2: Cú Chulainn, the guard dog demigod of the Ulster Cycle.

Wiz: Mythology has given us heroes, monsters, and gods with amazing power.

PREFACE: I am really, REALLY sorry for the late post. I tried to make PCBs for a project but for some reason or another, my attempts failed. I got super obsessed and stressed over it and because of it, I lost a night's worth of sleep. Add to it the fact that I've been struggling with my other STEM classes, and I haven't given myself the time to flesh this out. Not only that but starting next week, I'll be taking tests for two weeks. Safe to say that I'll be busy for a long time, so sorry again...

WHY:

Connections:

1. Cú Chulainn's association as "the Irish Achilles".

2. Both were born to a divine-like parent and/or royalty. Achilles was mothered by the sea nymph Thetis and fathered by Peleus, king of the Myrmidons. Cú Chulainn is the son of the god Lug (Lugh).

3. Both have done great deeds but at the cost of their very short lives. This tends to be one of the greater points of comparison between the two.

4. Both are known for their anger and fury. Achilles' most famous bout of anger stemmed from finding out that Patroclus died and Cú Chulainn is known for his battle frenzy (ríastrad, sometimes called a "warp spasm") in which his body becomes contorted and attacks anyone indiscriminately.

5. Both are super strong and are so skilled that they are deemed to be one of the greats of their respective myths. Achilles was said to be necessary for the conquest of Troy and Cú Chulainn was said to be the greatest of the Knights of the Red Branch.

Personal reasons: I can say with little if any hesitation that Season 9 giving us Heracles vs Sun Wukong was a shock to the system. No longer was DB! limited to pop culture's versions of ancient myths as they focused on the original texts and accounts, giving us what could honestly be one of the show's greatest analysis sections. Inspired by this, I thought up a matchup: a three-way battle between Achilles, Cú Chulainn, and Sigurd/Siegfried (I thank Persona 5 Strikers for introducing me to the last two, especially Cú Chulainn) because of how similar they at least appeared to be. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Cú Chulainn was sometimes called "the Irish Achilles", but I couldn't find any solid connections between Achilles and Sigurd other than the fact they obtained their invincibility from a divine source only to leave a single spot uncovered (Thetis dipped Achilles as a child in the waters of the River Styx, by which means he became invulnerable, except for the part of his heel by which she held him and when Sigurd bathed himself in Fafnir's blood, a leaf had fallen and stuck itself on his shoulder). However, I encourage others to idea up MUs using Sigurd, Gilgamesh, Beowulf, Rama, and figures from Aztec, Mayan, and Native American mythos. We need more myth matchups that aren't just Greek figures. I have at least one more matchup for the Greek itch. I had a different matchup that could likely be Halloween-themed, but it's unique, to say the least, and would require a very different analytical lens due to the source material. Not only that, but the source material could be to the disinterest of some, even if unlikely.

THE FIGHT:

Art and animation: This one will likely be a 2D sprite fight like Heracles vs Wukong. It would have an aesthetic like that of a storybook or tapestry to separate it from HeraKong's scroll and brush aesthetic. It would be best to not have a narrator again, or at least to not have the ending spoiled by the narrator if there is one.

Possible setup:

Both heroes are on their paths to glory, having emerged from battles with nary a scratch. Cú Chulainn is riding on his chariot, thinking of his lovely Emer, but Achilles is still mourning his dear Patroclus. They see each other and prepare for battle. Warriors need no reasons to fight other than glory and survival. On their chariots, they charge into battle.

FIGHT! :

1. Both warriors used their spears to slay the charioteers and horses and were successful. They leave the chariots and start using their spears, resulting in parries and attempts to use their swords as well.

2. Both warriors slowly pick up their paces, but Achilles is able to successfully parry and even disarm Cú Chulainn. Cú Chulainn then attempts to strike from afar using his slingshot. Achilles uses his shield, but Cú Chulainn is able to get some shots in, including near his heel. Achilles slightly staggers, and Cú Chulainn takes notice, but Achilles only lets out an angry war cry and lunges forward like a bull.

3. Achilles closes the gap by throwing his spear and impales his enemy. However, Cú Chulainn lets out his own war cry and becomes horrid and deformed. Achilles is not taken slightly aback by the monster, and attempting to hurt the warp-spasming warrior is hit very hard and launched backward. Achilles could've sworn he heard his armor slightly crack. The deformed destroyer grabs boulders and hurls them at Achilles who is able to dodge all but one and is knocked down.

4. Cú Chulainn calms down, remembering his beloved Emer. He removes the spear with which he was impaled and notices something: his opponent does not seem to be too injured. His armor and his skin do not seem to be scratched. "Could it be a magical set of armor? Is he invincible?" No. His new nemesis faltered when hit in the heel, so he should try to use the Gae Bolg where his enemy seemed to be weak.

5. Achilles recollects himself and draws his sword again. His enemy can seem to mutate into a monster and become vicious, but becomes violent, almost to a mindless degree, putting a lot of force in his strikes. He should strike afar from with his spear and evade his opponent's spear and slingshot. "He's strong, but it looks like he can still be hurt with my weapons. He struck my weakness, but does he know of it?" With his plan in mind, Achilles raises his shield and charges, evading Cú Chulainn's projectiles. Cú Chulainn even throws Achilles' spear back at him which Achilles catches.

6. They start to clash swords, spears, and shields again, striking any exposed skin they can. Cú Chulainn cannot seem to injure his opponent and his armor is very sturdy. However, he is able to graze Achilles' weak point, and Achilles pushes him away. "Aha! So he IS weak there!". Using his shield, Cú Chulainn parries his attack and attempts to get another strike in, but Achilles, using his spear, keeps his adversary away. "He seems to know. I must keep him at bay." Achilles, using his own defensive techniques, is able to momentarily fend off his rival.

7. Cú Chulainn now knows what needs to do. He needs to end the fight soon, or else he'll never see his dear Emer again. "For Emer." With his dear love in mind, Cú Chulainn warp spasms again, and assaults Achilles, trying to hit his heel. Achilles attempts to rush his foe, and he is able to injure him, but Cú Chulainn flat-out launches Achilles away, leaving his weak point exposed.

8. Achilles knows his enemy is weak and desperate. Why else would he mutate like he did? However, Achilles still feels a bit of pain in his heel; his opponent has hit his weak spot and he knows of his heel's vulnerability. He grabs his weapons and prepares for one final clash. "For Patroclus." He meets his foe's eyes again and both let out one final war cry and charge.

9. Achilles wins by tiring out Cú Chulainn. The monster gets angrier and angrier, but Achilles dodges, and taking advantage of his foe's seeming mindlessness, slashes off one of his arms. The monster staggers, and in a short time, Cú Chulainn returns to normal, panting and bleeding. He ties himself to a stone using his own entrails and meets Achilles' eyes once again. Achilles throws his spear and successfully impales the now-normalized foe who lets out a shout of anger, seemingly not one of anger.

10. Cú Chulainn wins by keeping Achilles at a distance. Still in his ríastrad, Cú Chulainn is able to smash Achilles' armor so hard it starts to crack and break. The adversary attempts to rush him, but Sétanta knocks him away. He starts to calm down, knowing he only has one attempt to win. Seeing that Achilles' heel is exposed, he readies his weapon and throws the Gae Bolg with his foot. It successfully lands on Achilles' weak heel. The weapon then opens up into thirty barbs, causing Achilles to shout in agony and fall.

11. Both retrieve their weapons only after a raven lands on the corpse's shoulder. They pay their respects to their adversary for a great battle, entomb the other as a sign of respect, and depart the battlefield. Home is a long journey away, and without the horses, even longer.

12. KO!

RESULT:

Strengths and weaknesses:

Achilles:

+ Has divine armor from the god Hephaestus as well as his invulnerability from bathing in the Styx and/or the ambrosia he was fed as a baby.

+ Arguably the more experienced warrior due to his time in the Trojan War and his training under the centaur Chiron.

+ Is capable of killing powerful and skilled warriors like Hector, Penthesilea (Queen of the Amazons), and Memnon.

- The only weak point is his heel, but it was only exploited because of the god Apollo.

Cú Chulainn:

+ Actually favored by the gods of his pantheon.

+ Is likely the greater warrior as he defeated Fer Díad and Aífe. Fer Díad and Cú Chulainn were trained under the legendary Scottish warrior Scthach, and Aífe is said to be Scathach's rival and stated to be equal to Cú Chulainn in skill. Cú Chulainn also single-handedly fought Queen Mab's army and even harmed Morrigan, said to be a goddess of battle and war, though not in direct combat.

+ His anger is more dangerous due to the ríastrad.

+ Has a ranged option in a slingshot.

+ Likely has a healing option as when he met his father in a dream, his father healed him.

+ The Gae Bulg allows for an instant kill...

- ...assuming that Cú Chulainn can pull it off in time and Achilles doesn't avoid it.

- Can still be killed like a normal warrior, but that was because he broke his oaths which weakened him, and was killed by a magic king-killing spear.

- His healing was done in a dream, and Achilles doesn't tend to leave opponents in just a sleeping state. Even then, the healing doesn't seem to be instant.

Ending puns:

"Setanta just couldn't exploit his opponent's Achilles' heel."

"Achilles should've said 'Cú-dbye'." (Cú + goodbye)

MUSIC:

Name: "Face My Fury"

The title makes reference to both combatant's anger.

Art: The art would depict Achilles' shield being pierced by the Gae Bolg, but the spear would be chopped by Achilles' sword.

Sound: Grand and orchestral again, but it would be faster and even have some metal elements in it. The orchestra is for the mythological aspect and the metal is for when the two get angry.

First and foremost, amazing work.

This would be an amazing fight to see. However, I might be a little rusty in my folkloric knowledge, because I must have missed the "warp-shift" (and to be honest, I'm not as familiar with Cú Chulainn as I, a huge myth fan, should be).

I also find the references to their bonds pretty interesting, since I don't think we get a lot of internal dialogue in either references.

More P5T Plot Details (feat. Satan and Sinister Politicians)

Gamescom has come and gone, and with it, the P5T demos available to attendees. There weren’t many plot details shown, but two outlets let slip that the game doesn’t begin in Leblanc, as advertised.

Like PQ and Q2, which had quotes by Seneca and Rousseau respectively, P5T opens “with a quote from Paradise Lost”. While the outlet (Shacknews) didn’t specify which one, this is a fascinating choice for a game about rebellion, especially considering Joker’s use of Satanael (who is obtainable in P5T and could be plot-relevant, per the leaked achievements). I’d speculate more and draw parallels to the poem, but not knowing the quote they used would make my ramblings too broad. It would be interesting if the final Kingdom/the evil deity’s lair ended up being inspired by the fallen angels’ uprising against God, rather than human history.

While an erudite quotation may evoke the Q games, which contained their plots to the Metaverse and surname-less characters trapped there for a long, abstract amount of time, both Shacknews and Persona Spain mention that P5T begins with a “short scene” in which a “pair of sinister politicians” converse in ��the office of a National Diet member”, which, alongside Toshiro’s disappearance being shown on the news in older screenshots, tie the Kingdoms’ events to the real world.

Those two are likely Conspiracy members, akin to Strikers’ Owada or Shido’s nameless goons who try to keep his plans in motion after his brainwashing, but I wonder whether Toshiro is one of them, their ally, or their target for elimination.

After that, there’s the Leblanc scene, in which the Thieves discuss college and moving on with their lives. Shacknews claimed while discussing this section that P5T takes place after Strikers, but I think the writer was mistaken, since marketing materials and screenshots have shown Joker as a second year, and Haru and Makoto in Shujin attire. Furthermore, unlike RPYH and the final party members in P5R and S, what would be the motivation for lying about this? (I wish one of these writers had asked ATLUS representatives for clarification in this regard, but we did at least hear from them that the game’s duration will be around 40-50 hours, so there went another big question.)

Then comes the tutorial in the Marie’s plaza, featuring Joker, Skull and Mona.

After this stage, Skull and most of the PTs are brainwashed by Marie, leading to a stage where Joker and Mona must defeat all enemies but Skull, who attacks them with Captain Kidd.

Sadly, the demo abruptly skipped ahead to after Erina joined, so no one was able to get a strong sense of her personality and interactions with others. Then, it ended with Toshiro’s appearance in the dungeons.

That’s all I gathered, plot-wise. It feels like ATLUS is withholding more information about P5T’s plot than they did for the other spin-offs, which alongside the emphasis on how “emotional” it will be, intrigue me. By their PV02s, PQ2 had revealed 4 of its 5 dungeons, and P5S had shown Wolf and Valjean.

In terms of her memes and shit posts I have her do on a regular basis, I just pull from my own meme stuff and post basically what I would, but in character really! She's someone who's spent a lot of time on the internet on forums and social media, so of course she's going to know all about that. As for just normal every day Futaba, I look at myself and I see her introverted nature and I put that out for her.

Social interaction takes a lot of energy and I imagine even at the end of Persona 5 Strikers she prefers to have that small batch of friends. She's better with crowds but it still can overwhelm her, that sort of thing. It's a lot easier for her to interact online with strangers because of the anonymity of the internet, where she goes by Alibaba (Since Medjed got a bad rep because of the government, though she's still working on bringing it back properly in my Post strikers timeline)

That's what makes her pretty easy to write because I see a lot of her qualities in me, and because of that I'm able to easily write her. So the answer to the question I took about 10 turns to get to is myself and my love of memes and internet stuff.

... So, I've kinda been listening to "Bye Bye Bye" and a cinematic cover of "Like a Prayer" almost nonstop since I saw Deadpool 3 last month, and today it gave me an idea that I honestly can't believe I never thought of before. (Moreso the former than the latter)

It does involve Persona 5 Strikers Spoilers though, so it's going under the thing-

The Internship

I've talked before about how before the events of P5S, Aaron would absolutely idolize Akira Konoe. Seeing him as a revolutionary genius who was really trying to make a difference and improve the lives of millions with his inventions, which is pretty much everything Aaron wants to be.

This was somewhat inspired by the MCU, since Konoe is an easy Iron Man stand-in, because... well, look at him;

Even Zephyrman, while definitely being more Sentai than Comic Book Hero, takes a tiny bit of inspiration from Mr. Stark, from the giant Hulk Buster Suit, to the faceplate opening up, and just the general design of the armor outside of the helmet.

But I never considered until now how interesting it'd be to take that comparison further. To have Aaron actually work for Madicce.

I don't know if he'd be working directly under Akira, probably not though he might check in on his employees and be impressed by Aaron's work or something, but either way just making him that little bit closer to his hero, someone who in my AU actually took inspiration from him to become a superhero too (again Iron Man stand-in), only for it all to come crumbling down when he realizes what his goals are, and what E.M.M.A. is actually for.

And this is where we come back around to what actually inspired me to write this. Because whenever I listen to music, I almost always try to picture a scene to go with it. And for this occasion, what I pictured was Phantom Spider, after finding out about Akira's true colors, raids Madicce's HQ, taking out every bit of security they'd set up as he makes his way to Akira's office, where he'd both download as much info as he could on E.M.M.A, and also, because I imagine Akira would've probably figured it out by now anyway, leave his resignation letter on the desk.

He's coming for him, he's not holding anything back, and he wants Akira to know.

Is it kinda reckless and maybe a little stupid? Probably. But Aaron can be rather overly dramatic, and very very petty when he's dealing with betrayal. And a betrayal from someone he's idolized for a good chunk of his life?

Yeah. He's incredibly pissed.

Achilles uses his shield, but Cú Chulainn is able to get some shots in, including near his heel. Achilles slightly staggers, and Cú Chulainn takes notice, but Achilles only lets out an angry war cry and lunges forward like a bull.

3. Achilles closes the gap by throwing his spear and impales his enemy. However, Cú Chulainn lets out his own war cry and becomes horrid and deformed. Achilles is not taken slightly aback by the monster, and attempting to hurt the warp-spasming warrior is hit very hard and launched backward. Achilles could've sworn he heard his armor slightly crack. The deformed destroyer grabs boulders and hurls them at Achilles who is able to dodge all but one and is knocked down.

4. Cú Chulainn calms down, remembering his beloved Emer. He removes the spear with which he was impaled and notices something: his opponent does not seem to be too injured. His armor and his skin do not seem to be scratched. "Could it be a magical set of armor? Is he invincible?" No. His new nemesis faltered when hit in the heel, so he should try to use the Gae Bolg where his enemy seemed to be weak.

5. Achilles recollects himself and draws his sword again. His enemy can seem to mutate into a monster and become vicious, but becomes violent, almost to a mindless degree, putting a lot of force in his strikes. He should strike afar from with his spear and evade his opponent's spear and slingshot. "He's strong, but it looks like he can still be hurt with my weapons. He struck my weakness, but does he know of it?" With his plan in mind, Achilles raises his shield and charges, evading Cú Chulainn's projectiles. Cú Chulainn even throws Achilles' spear back at him which Achilles catches.

6. They start to clash swords, spears, and shields again, striking any exposed skin they can. Cú Chulainn cannot seem to injure his opponent and his armor is very sturdy. However, he is able to graze Achilles' weak point, and Achilles pushes him away. "Aha! So he IS weak there!". Using his shield, Cú Chulainn parries his attack and attempts to get another strike in, but Achilles, using his spear, keeps his adversary away. "He seems to know. I must keep him at bay." Achilles, using his own defensive techniques, is able to momentarily fend off his rival.

7. Cú Chulainn now knows what needs to do. He needs to end the fight soon, or else he'll never see his dear Emer again. "For Emer." With his dear love in mind, Cú Chulainn warp spasms again, and assaults Achilles, trying to hit his heel. Achilles attempts to rush his foe, and he is able to injure him, but Cú Chulainn flat-out launches Achilles away, leaving his weak point exposed.

8. Achilles knows his enemy is weak and desperate. Why else would he mutate like he did? However, Achilles still feels a bit of pain in his heel; his opponent has hit his weak spot and he knows of his heel's vulnerability. He grabs his weapons and prepares for one final clash. "For Patroclus." He meets his foe's eyes again and both let out one final war cry and charge.

9. Achilles wins by tiring out Cú Chulainn. The monster gets angrier and angrier, but Achilles dodges, and taking advantage of his foe's seeming mindlessness, slashes off one of his arms. The monster staggers, and in a short time, Cú Chulainn returns to normal, panting and bleeding. He ties himself to a stone using his own entrails and meets Achilles' eyes once again. Achilles throws his spear and successfully impales the now-normalized foe who lets out a shout of anger, seemingly not one of anger.

10. Cú Chulainn wins by keeping Achilles at a distance. Still in his ríastrad, Cú Chulainn is able to smash Achilles' armor so hard it starts to crack and break. The adversary attempts to rush him, but Sétanta knocks him away. He starts to calm down, knowing he only has one attempt to win. Seeing that Achilles' heel is exposed, he readies his weapon and throws the Gae Bolg with his foot. It successfully lands on Achilles' weak heel. The weapon then opens up into thirty barbs, causing Achilles to shout in agony and fall.

11. Both retrieve their weapons only after a raven lands on the corpse's shoulder. They pay their respects to their adversary for a great battle, entomb the other as a sign of respect, and depart the battlefield. Home is a long journey away, and without the horses, even longer.

12. KO!

Strengths and weaknesses:

Achilles:

+ Has divine armor from the god Hephaestus as well as his invulnerability from bathing in the Styx and/or the ambrosia he was fed as a baby.

+ Arguably the more experienced warrior due to his time in the Trojan War and his training under the centaur Chiron.

+ Is capable of killing powerful and skilled warriors like Hector, Penthesilea (Queen of the Amazons), and Memnon.

- The only weak point is his heel, but it was only exploited because of the god Apollo.

Cú Chulainn:

+ Actually favored by the gods of his pantheon.

+ Is likely the greater warrior as he defeated Fer Díad and Aífe. Fer Díad and Cú Chulainn were trained under the legendary Scottish warrior Scthach, and Aífe is said to be Scathach's rival and stated to be equal to Cú Chulainn in skill. Cú Chulainn also single-handedly fought Queen Mab's army and even harmed Morrigan, said to be a goddess of battle and war, though not in direct combat.

+ His anger is more dangerous due to the ríastrad.

+ Has a ranged option in a slingshot.

+ Likely has a healing option as when he met his father in a dream, his father healed him.

+ The Gae Bulg allows for an instant kill...

- ...assuming that Cú Chulainn can pull it off in time and Achilles doesn't avoid it.

- Can still be killed like a normal warrior, but that was because he broke his oaths which weakened him, and was killed by a magic king-killing spear.

- His healing was done in a dream, and Achilles doesn't tend to leave opponents in just a sleeping state. Even then, the healing doesn't seem to be instant.

Ending puns:

"Setanta just couldn't exploit his opponent's Achilles' heel."

"Achilles should've said 'Cú-dbye'." (Cú + goodbye)

MUSIC:

Name: "Face My Fury"

The title makes reference to both combatant's anger.

Art: The art would depict Achilles' shield being pierced by the Gae Bolg, but the spear would be chopped by Achilles' sword.

Sound: Grand and orchestral again, but it would be faster and even have some metal elements in it. The orchestra is for the mythological aspect and the metal is for when the two get angry.

If you dont mind me doing 2 for the ask game, i gotta go for a VERY underrated persona fave, and a neo twewy fave: Morgana and Nagi?

Of course I don’t mind, thank you for the ask~

Morgana

First impressions:

He was an early favorite for me, the fact that he had the appearance of cat, as well as him being a healer, wind user and support character all caught my eye. He also seemed to have a similar personality as Joker, another one of my faves!

Impression now:

He’s still a favorite of mine! I know some people will disagree, and that’s fine, but I loved the reveal of him actually being from the velvet room being one of the big twists happening at the time. I also love how his friendships with the Phantom Thieves developed, him and Joker are such an iconic duo! His butting heads with Ryuji and eventually growing into the close friendship we see in Strikers is also something I really enjoyed seeing.

Favorite Moment:

Hmm.. if I had to just pick one, I’d probably have to say his role in the last dungeon in p5 vanilla. At this point, though obviously not perfect, he’s grown into a much more confident version of himself, and it shows as he’s literally revealed to be hope incarnated, being the guiding light for Joker, the Phantom Thieves and even humanity against Yaldabaoth. All of that leading up to the speech he gives that inspires the Phantom Thieves to keep fighting and the Phan-Site meter getting to 100%.. such an iconic moment.

Idea for a story:

I’m honestly not too sure. There’s not much I’d say is missing from Morgana’s story, character development wise. The only thing I can really think of is maybe some sprucing up for the Okumura arc? That’s just my personal opinion, though.

Unpopular opinion:

I can’t think of a whole lot for this either, mostly since there are so many vastly different opinions on Morgana, he’s both loved and hated in the fandom. That said, I know at this point mostly everyone managed to get used to human Morgana, but I still really can’t deal with it. (Mostly because I can’t really take him seriously, every time he speaks I just think “oh, it’s Nagito”-)

Favorite relationship:

I mentioned this before, but I really enjoy his relationships with both Joker and Ryuji. I won’t explain those again here, but I also enjoy Morgana’s friendship with Haru as well.

Favorite Headcanon:

Ok, so we all know or Joker’s little habit of helping everyone around him with the exception of, you know, himself. Well I like to think that Morgana would be the one who would reach out to him, being that Mona is the one who’s around him the most, it just makes sense to me.

Nagi Usui

First impressions:

Well, first of all, my mind immediately thought of Futaba. Like, every time I saw her in the trailers it was like “oh, look, it’s Futaba.” Other than that, she didn’t really leave much of an impression on me either way, though I did hear that she didn’t like Fret so I was interested as to why.

Impression now:

Ok, I admit she’s still not one of my top favorite characters, but I do still really enjoy her character and personality quirks! I do wish her character had a bit more focus considering most of the characters around her get a lot of attention and time devoted to arces, but I can’t say her character is completely devoid of attention either.

Favorite moment:

Unlike with Morgana, I pretty much knew right away what my favorite Nagi moment was. It happens on Week 3, day… 5? I believe? It’s the day that the group is with Neku trying to get to Hanakoma’s old café on cat street to talk to Coco. It’s the talk with Fret she has after the fight with noise-Kanon. We finally get some insight to how her thought process works. Hearing her explain how she analyzes people and her reading into Fret really just made me go “wow.. what an icon.”

Idea for a story:

For most of the characters in twewy/ntwewy, we have at least an idea as to what their backstories are. Nagi is the only one where I still really don’t have much of a clue. I would like to see what her story is before the reaper’s game.

Unpopular Opinion:

I hear a lot of people say that Nagi is, like, the abandoned character of ntwewy when it comes to focus and development, but I don’t totally think so. Admittedly, she is given, less attention than most of the other characters, and she does have to share the spotlight on the day where her character is really focused on, but I think a lot of her development and focus is more sublet, more focused on her interactions with other characters, rather than a plot about Nagi.

Favorite relationship:

Fret for sure. Back before neo even came out one of the first things I had heard about Nagi was that she didn’t get along with Fret. After actually starting the game and seeing some of their interactions, I knew immediately that they were going to grow to be best friends. Throughout the entire game, I watched as Nagi slowly grew more and more friendly with him, just waiting until the ball dropped. It was so satisfying when they turned out to be such a dynamic duo!

Favorite headcanon:

Kind of a crack headcanon but I’m convinced that her shirt is magic. The words on it change sometimes and disappear in battle sometimes as well. I want Nagi’s magic shirt.

Guess Who’s Back? Back Again?

Hello everyone :)

First I want to say that I am heavily sorry for my sudden hiatus and disappearance from writing. Between my job, lack of inspiration, and depression amongst other issues, I kinda lost the urge to write :(

But over the last several months, I have suddenly felt the slight inspiration to write again! And it’s all thanks to this game!

Yup I’m a Phantom Thief now :D 500+ hours and 4 playthroughs later, I have fully completed Persona 5 Royal and I plan on buying the game again when it gets released on all other platforms October 21st!

To make up for my long absence, I am now adding Persona 5 to my list of fandoms! I have played not only Royal but I have also played the sequel Strikers as well!

I will take requests for the Phantom Thieves (all of them) as well as the Confidants with the exception of Shinya, Igor, and the wardens (Caroline, Justine, and Lavenza)! I hope this new fandom makes up for my long absence and definitely expect more content from me involving this fandom in the future!

Happy 5th Anniversary Persona 5.

I don’t know what it is about this game that really grabbed me so much this year. I started playing it in February, around when Persona 5 Vanilla was free for PS5 users, and I had been putting the game off for years, despite my best friend begging me to play it so many times. I had said “sure I’ll check it out some time” ever since 2018, and in February of this year I finally downloaded it from the PS store for free and played it for the first time. I was hooked

I still can’t really fathom what about Persona 5 just hooked me in instantly. Normally when I get into a new game, franchise, show or whatever, I will obsess about it for a couple weeks or maybe a month, and then I’ll kind of just move on from it; not forget it entirely, but I will have moved on to another topic. Persona 5 grabbed me and I had entered my usual obsession. Of course, Persona 5 is a long ass game so naturally it took me about a month to complete, but not once had I dropped it. I spent that entire month of February/March blasting my way through the story. Most games I would drop for a while and come back later to complete, because I have other things in the way. Nah I became fully invested once I had completed the first palace. I even purchased Persona 5 Royal because my friend told me it was the superior version, which meant I had to do the first palace all over again and pick up where I left off, but I didn’t mind, that first plot arc was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had with any media. I bopped to the soundtrack of course, which is genuinely one of the best OSTs I’ve ever heard, and only inspired me to play through more of the game to hear more of the music. One I heard Blooming Villain and Rivers of The Desert for the first time, I just vibed so hard. My best friend told me it would probably take me 2 months to beat Royal but I actually beat it in about a month and a week. After that I wasn’t done, fuck no; I bought Persona 5 Strikers because it had just come out around the time I started playing vanilla, and I beat that in about a week, amazing fucking game again, I can’t even come up with the words to explain. At this point I was fully into watching videos about Persona, retweeting stuff on Twitter, following blogs, accounts, channels, anything Persona related. I then looked into the older games, and decided to play Persona 4 Golden. I bought it on steam and blasted my way though that, and I think I had just amount of fun as I did with P5, and I really didn’t think I would because of the older mechanics and stuff but fuck was I wrong. That games soundtrack and characters I would argue even tops some of the ones from P5 but at this stage I think I love them equally. At this point my room had already been decorated in Persona 5 posters, merch, artwork, and I had already purchased merchandise and t-shirts. Then I found out I could buy Persona 3 FES on the PS3. I still haven’t gotten that far in Persona 3 yet thought because unlike the time I downloaded Persona 5, I am no longer unemployed in a lockdown so I don’t have as much time anymore to fully invest myself but man I have not forgotten. I am still in on this obsession, after 7 months I am still in love with this series. I can’t even remember what my life was like before I played Persona 5, it’s heard to even think about my life before then. But anyway this is just a big long ramble about Persona as we’ve reached the 5 year anniversary in Japan, and I just want to make a big post sharing my love and experience with the series.

Here’s my Persona collection so far. Just this week I managed to find Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 and I didn’t even mind spending an extra buck for them. I will be looking forward to expanding my collection. I am so excited to see what’s to come for the 25th anniversary announcements and I will be ready for Persona 6.

Idk if this would be a "hot take" or not but...

Personally, I don't think Akechi NEEDS a redemption arc at all.

You all can still write fanfics on the topic, I'm not gonna stop you at all! Sometimes they can be handled well! But it honestly goes against his character and arc and that's why it bothers me when people STILL insist that he should get a redemption arc as opposed to say... Maruki or even Konoe? Even though it goes against his character? But regardless of whether Royal is considered canon or not, it still kind of irks me a bit the more I looked at and analyzed his character. I mean... Look at BOTH of his All Out Attack portraits!

I did it.... I finally DID IT! I did my own take on PT!Maruki! I love how he turned out!

Notes:

Codename: Adam (a reference to the Adam and Eve motif associated with him (that and Adam was casted out of paradise along with Eve so it still fits with what I'm going with here with this design))

Persona: Icarus (I personally felt like the story/myth fit Maruki pretty well, he flew too close and fell with his hubris but (unlike Icarus, who met his demise) that doesn't mean he can't be saved and redeemed)

I know people would often have him be all white and gold but... I couldn't help but think that the black and gold is a good way to show that he's symbolically a "fallen god" now along with fitting the story of Icarus still a bit.

Melee Weapon: His staff in canon, but probably modified more for battle. Helps with magic use too.

I accept headcanons, scenarios, preferences, drabbles, and one-shots. I also accept requests for song match-ups which you can find the rules for here!

I accept dark and angst-filled content! Bring on the feels!

The longer your request is, the longer I’ll take on it. I like to give my all when it comes to writing. Also my speed will depend on whether or not I’m feeling inspired enough.

Please be specific when requesting! It’s a huge help to me and it makes me way more eager to do your request too! I will take requests for crossovers and AUs as well!

If you request for a character that’s underage, they will be aged up. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

If gender isn’t specified, then I’ll be writing for the opposite sex of the character you requested. I will not do character x character or character x oc! The requests are solely for you, the Reader. I do allow specifications for the Reader obviously!
