A quick overview of Stolitz's kinks throughout the show, and the sex toys used throughout the show so far.
S1 E1: Just, this entire phone call Stolas had with Blitz where Stolas just went on about having sex with Blitz for a ridiculous amount of time, probably revealed 20 different fetishes of Stolas' with that one singular phone call tbh. Oh yea and the pet name 'Blitzy', can't forget about that being present during the entirety of season 1 as well.
Tumblr media
S1 E2: Facesitting, and this off handed comment from Blitz. "Yea wait until her dad tries to diddle your holes."
Tumblr media
S1 E5: Bondage, BDSM, and what looks like a ball gag.
Tumblr media
S1 E6: Our first signs of Stolas showing heavy sexual masochism with the bear traps. That 'please do' in response to the bear traps comment just sends me WILD every time I hear it.
Tumblr media
S2 E1: Biting, the origins of Stolas showing sexual masochism, blindfold, bondage, BDSM, and the origins of the pet name 'Blitzy'.
Tumblr media
S2 E8: SEX TOY CENTRAL! 'I'll eat his birdpuss nice and rough' and 'position 37', which is apparently clit licking to what I could find on Google, so there's that alluded to in the first few minutes. Truth be told I have no fucking idea what's in the Stolas Sex Shit box (check the reply by vagabond-pinky on this post for what most of the sex toys in the box are called) other than the dildo gag (confirmed in the storyboard) and what I think is a horse butt plug.
The sex shopping spree. Sexy, horny, candles. More bondage. 'Simple pervert imp.'
Stolas not really being into the beads. Blindfolds. THE FUCKING DRAGON DRILLER 5000, NOW WITH VIBRATION!
Tumblr media
(this ended up being a lot longer than I thought it would end up being lmao)
S2 E9: The flashbacks. A reference to an instagram post where I believe that Blitz was using some sort of vibrator on Stolas, more gags, and I think also quite literal horse play as well. More passionate kissing. WHATEVER THE HELL BLITZ IS DOING IN THE ONE FLASHBACK I ZOOMED IN ON, I NEED MORE OF THAT HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Short 2: Blitz proclaiming that he's a fucking top! (Still widely believed that he's a switch, which I agree with.)

okay so this is like a rant and questions and shit i have on my mind about pokemon advanced/contestshipping because i can
something that has always confused me is— where the HELL did solidad come from? during the entirety of the hoenn contest circuit we never saw her, neither in the entirety of the kanto circuit UNTIL the grand festival. and you can go and counter this with a “she only started participating in contests during the kanto circuit” which like, yes, is reasonable. there’s one thing that very much bothers me though. in the spontaneous combusken episode brianna (who looked up to drew) literally STATED may was the only female coordinator he had respect for. and she is OBSESSED with him, and watched all of his contests, by the way. and then, SOLIDAD COMES IN??? HUH??? atp i’m convinced solidad was like a last minute decision to say some shit about drew because obviously he ain’t the character so do so himself, and that feels so wrong to me. like her only reason of existence in the anime is just to spill stuff from drew’s past or whatever.. you could’ve introduced her sooner, and then later it could’ve been like “woah! she knows DREW?” but no she just came out of nowhere and that was it. ok so that’s point one
secondly, why did they only reveal the reason harley dislikes may so much is at the END of the kanto circuit? a whole ass season after they even met? like we get convinced in the beginning he just hates this girl because he called his pokemon scary and didn’t go all crazy over his cookies, and then like bam this girl that looked like her stole his cookies and that’s why he’s so angry. so what was the point of the first reason he hated her so much..??? and with this you could counter “well he didn’t recognize her yet” would be fair except they look exactly the fuckinf same, OR “he just kept it to himself” which i find not so fitting as harley, each time we get a shot of him just doing his own thing, he talks to himself and is just constantly rambling about. so if he DID recognize her, i feel like he would’ve said at least SOMETHING about that.
thirdly, why the hell was drew in only 2 contests along with may? ONLY FUCKING TWO leading up to both of the grand festivals. which like, all right, i do understand, they want their battles to be long awaited and heated, totally fair. but it feels so wrong to call him a main rival, if, out of quite a few contests she participated in, she only battled him face to face once, in her first contest. the rest of the things he really only did is just keep an eye on may and make a haughty comment here and there to piss her off, and stopping harley, a few times. it’s exciting, sure, but it would’ve been so much more rewarding if may won from him after more than just two losses (in actual competitions) but, again, that’s the way i look at it.
fourth, this is much rather more rambling than a straight up question i ask myself every so often, but… i’ve read a shit ton of contestshipping fics. and thing i noticed very frequently is that in the stories that are written drew always has a burning hatred against harley, which feels odd. because, during the entirety of the series, the only moment he really got mad was after the whole assist commotion. the rest of the times? he laughed him off, for instance after harley lost to may in the hoenn grand festival, and in mays last contest before the kanto grand festival. "arent you smart!” and the “you better not make me any angrier drew” “back at ya” like bro this mf does not feel threatened by him AT ALL. he even complimented that he raised his pokemon very well, which, i am sure he wouldn’t have said if he hated him as much as people make out as he does. and the brianna being really fuckinf bratty and evil thing… if anything she’d seem somewhat of a sensitive and shy girl, in worst case scenario she’d call into a depression if they got together or something.
fifth, and my last question, how the hell are there enough contests to give out ribbons? aren’t there like, more than 200 participants in one grand festival? and every coordinator needs at least 5 ribbons? that means 1000 ribbons to be given out, in one year, in one region. and you have like the wallace cup thing, but it’s held every year, and the ribbon from the wallace cup can be used in any region, so that’s barely filling anything in. so where the HELL do the 999 ribbons come from? wouldn’t they have to hold like a dozen of contests? because, obviously, there’s coordinators who have less than 5 ribbons, unable to enter in the grand festival, which means there’s only more ribbons to add up to the 1000 total. and yeah, more ribbons could be given out in smaller contests in smaller towns, but there was never much mention of that. it’s just really fucking vague
that was my rant. please tell me what you think………please

House of The Dragon 2x8 Spoilers and Review.
This is gonna be a rant but I'm still putting a spoiler warning cause some people were waiting for the entire season to drop before they watched. I was spoiled during the week and I'm mad as hell about it. Yes we all know it's fuck book canon atp but at least make sure the story flows and make actual sense.
The finale was mid. I felt like there were a lot of things missing and it was kinda confirmed. We're gonna have to wait 2 long years and knowing season 3 is about to just be the assassinations of characters because season 2 didn't really do anything, nothing moved story wise except the death of Jaehaerys, the sowing of the dragons seeds and the death of one of the realest women in Westeros. It was just glorified fanfiction and most definitely not the good kind.
I'm begging Ryan and Sara to please read or at least have someone else read the source material before they get back in that writers room.
Lucerys, Visenya and Jaehaerys deaths were supposed to haunt the narrative for the entirety of the season, how they could fumble it so bad that it just feels like a drop of water on your hands while washing it is beyond me. Blood and Cheese felt insignificant as fuck considering it was also a major event that led to the destruction and death of one of the most prominent houses in Westeros, majority of the Targaryen's lineage and the death of most of the dragons. I should've known when they started promoting the 2nd season as Alicent vs Rhaenyra instead of Rhaenyra vs Aegon II, y'know the usurper, that it was gonna be some bullshit. The other major events in the second season, Rhaenys' death also felt brushed aside. This is why the show needs to be at least 12-14 episodes. Abolish the 8-10 episodes shit.
I'm gonna get hate for this but could they please let this Rhaenicent relationship go! For the love of everything that is holy, let it go. Season 1 focused on them, fine. Season 2 you gave them a reunion, crazy but okay. There was literally no reason for a second reunion. Sure the scenes were beautiful, shout-out to the actors but let it go. The plot already felt cheapened when they chalked up the dance to one big misunderstanding. Which is crazy considering, Otto and the small council literally had this entire plan set in motion since Rhaenyra was named heir and even a little before. I need Ryan to understand that sometimes friendships just end. Sometimes your friends cross the lines one too many times and you just need to let them go. Alicent overstepped and crossed the lines with Rhaenyra it was downright disrespectful for Rhaenyra to even be in her presence at all tbh. This is the same woman who made her life a living hell, raised her children to be vile, hateful, spiteful little shits towards their own sister and her children, embarrassed her and tormented her in court, started and participated in the rumors and smear campaign about Rhaenyra's character and children, essentially ran her out of her own home, lied about the death of her father and the news didn't come from her or the council immediately but after and that's only because they were holding her former mil hostage and she got away. Alicent knew Viserys was addled and delirious and out of his mind when he was rambling about the conqueror's dream (she didn't know about the prophecy but still), so nothing he said was supposed to be taken seriously and just because he said “Aegon” she decided to be spiteful/hateful and usurp the throne knowing it would've hurt Rhaenyra. I don't know why people gloss over this fact either. Aegon said it himself, his father had years to name him heir and he remained steadfast to Rhaenyra's claim. Aemond said it again this season, the small council and his mother plotted to usurp the throne. What more was there to talk about? The only talking that should've been happening is Rhaenyra signing her and the council's execution warrants for treason. This all started because Rhaenyra omitted the truth about who took her virginity btw. She didn't lie, she never slept with Daemon in that brothel. Not to mention that Alicent son also killed her child!! Let it go!
I'm gonna reiterate this point but we didn't need to spend all that time with Daemon in Harrenhal and his hallucinations. That should've taken 3 episodes top and then they could've had him work on his relationships with his family instead. Especially his daughters. The only thing I liked coming out of the Daemon hallucinations is the prophecy. DAENERYS STORMBORN TARGARYEN IS THE “PRINCE” WHO WAS FUCKIN PROMISED!! NOT THAT BUM JON SNOW. Fuckin finally. We could lay the discourse to rest. GRRM could've posted it on a billboard for the entire world to see and it still would've had the select few that will insist on Jon being the one who the prophecy was talking about. The events in the show and the book supported this btw so I don't even know what the argument was about but let's lay it to rest now. Although show wise it doesn't fuckin matter either way because D&D fucked the last seasons but book lore wise this is what GRRM intended or intends. Still waiting on the next book! The term “prince” was gender neutral. And everybody celebrates. Daemon swearing allegiance to his Queen, as he fuckin should. Raising the army in her name as he should. He's got voices in his head now apparently. Also he has a new friend in Alys, good for him.
Aemond did what he was supposed to do this season. He's still an unhinged psychopath, absolutely no one is surprised. No complaints on my end. I need him to keep his grubby hands to himself though. Helaena gave him his death notice and rubbed in the fact that nobody gave a damn about him in the end, she did that for me.
Criston even though I hate to admit it, same thing. He's still a woman hating piece of shit though and I want him dead immediately. We didn't need all those alicole sex scenes though. We got it, they were fuckin, kudos.
Larys and the small council did what was also expected.
Aegon is still fried. Now he's apparently heading to Essos. He wants to usurp the moniker “Realm's delight” too and to that I say absolutely tf not. That is reserved for pretty women only. Aegon has officially been castrated!! That was for all the women in the realm. It's what he deserved. I don't believe for one second that Sunfyre is dead. I think that'll be a swerve.
I wished we focused on Helaena more though. Her grief was explored a little more than Rhaenyra's but it was also brushed aside. Why? That would've been important to her characterization. Also why did they have Helaena astral project into Daemon's dream? She was so cool as well, like that man didn't have a hand in the death of her son.... You can't make this shit up. The scene was essentially “you killed my kid cool but since you're so good at killing could you get my brother next?” I'm convinced they are doing this shit on purpose. Why do they keep making the female characters in the show this peace seeking, docile beings when they were just as and even more chaotic than their male counterparts (with reason might I add). The men just do the most unhinged shit for glory and in the name of war sake and the women gotta be the peacekeepers even though they're the most wronged.
Alicent's character didn't deserve half the screentime she got because if you cut her scenes in half the majority of them contributed nothing to the moving along of the plot. Absolutely nothing. We already had limited time as is.
Baela and Rhaena I am so sorry you have incompetent people telling your side of the story. Sure they got more lines this season and that's a stretch but they're lacking characterization as well. Ryan and Sara scrapped the Nettles plot, okay (that was fuckin stupid). Nettles had a major role to play. Gave her story to Rhaena in the last two episodes and we still didn't even see her claim Sheepstealer. It's up in the air. Also one of the princesses of the Realm managed to escape and you mean to tell me nobody is looking for her? She just fucked off and that's it. Yeah okay. Also I hated how they wrote her relationship with Jeyne. She was so kind to her in the books and Rhaena actually had a story in the books when she went to stay with her. Sure she would've been living her princess core era life but it's what she deserves. It would've helped flesh out her character as well, led to her hatching Morning and her life after the dance.
Baela lost the majority of her characterization as well even though she's inherently more fleshed out than Rhaena. Baela was chaotic as hell in the books. They swapped her personality in a sort of way with Jace, although he does have a temper (and rightfully so. They did kill his little brother and sister and he seems like the only one who cares) but Baela is supposed to be more unhinged than him. We only caught a few glimpses of her book personality and that's it. Again why are they writing the female characters as these docile, peace seeking beings? They also completely brushed aside their grief concerning their brother/betrothed, sister, mother and grandmother. I'm tired. We kinda got something for Baela in her grief but it was the bare minimum and it was barely mentioned again. Rhaenys was a parent to those girls (more than Daemon at least) and she got a fuck all remembrance. We totally should've gotten even better Jace and Baela's relationship development. We got her being more of his support system though they were each other's. Baela's feelings weren't explored more besides her hating her dad. Unless they're planning to explore it more in season 3 but well y'know 💔. Her telling Jace to stop pouting though and him insisting he's not even though he totally was🤣🤣😭😭. She gathered him and rightfully so. Also their unspoken conversation during the dinner scene with the dragonseeds. Peak wife and husband behavior. I hope we don't have to mourn for what could've been more than we will already be doing.
Rhaenyra character this season was all over the place. They only stick to what her character was from season 1 in episode one and then after that it was like she did a 180. She was destroyed by the grief of her son, daughter and father. They completely forgot that and had her doing the stupidest stuff. She had one of her biggest supporters die as well and it was just cast aside. Development wise we got to see her more open. I'll give them that. They also brushed aside her grief. It felt like Lucerys didn't matter to her in some instances. I have a feeling they're gonna go down the “mad Targaryen” role for her as well. If a woman has to be in power then she has to go crazy. That's what that cult Rhaenyra vibes is giving. I'm not tripping, you guys see it too right? I touched on the second reunion between her and Alicent but her whacking her this last episode was satisfying. I don't trust Alicent's plan and Rhaenyra knows and hopefully she sticks to it. She knows that she has to kill Aegon now. A son for a son. This is who I wanted to see this season. It's like she got back her personality traits in the last episode. She still needs to work on her standing as queen. She had that bum Ulf disrespecting her at the table and she needed to have his tongue expeditiously. Mysaria and her are doomed yuri confirmed. Mysaria has her ear but is only telling her what she wants to hear and that is going to be her downfall. I still can't figure out her angle though but we'll see in season 3. She inadvertently hurt Jace again when she chose Addam to go to Harrenhal. It's like one step forward and then 3 steps back with them. I'm hurt knowing the possible outcome of this situation. Daemon and her reunion were good. I like how she didn't fall back into his arms. Stand on business and continue to stand on business Rhaenyra.
Corlys grief was brushed aside. He didn't really do anything this season besides deny his sons, lie to his wife in his last moments and try to make his legitimate granddaughter heir after laughing off the idea of making his other legitimate granddaughter heir. His ship is finally fixed though. “The Queen Who Never Was ” is the new name of it. I had tears in my eyes, I could admit it. I'm not ashamed. Everything that he's doing now he's doing it for Rhaenys. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Why did he wait so freaking long to honor her properly though 💔. There is no denying he loved his wife, he just could've loved her better. I'm glad Alyn dragged his ass for being a deadbeat though. Gave his ass a reality check he so richly deserved. He hurt those boys and he deserved to know. Imagine your father could've made your life easier but he decided to be a coward while favoring his other children, a tongue lashing would've been the least he got, I would've fought him. They're on to meet the triarchy though.
Jacaerys character was developed stellar this season. He didn't have plenty of screentime and he was mugging down for most of it but the rage, the grief, the despair was all palpable. He lost a part of his soul in Lucerys and it was there for everybody to see. He didn't get anything to do until the later half but when he got to go he did. I said it before and I'll say it again I love his and Baela's relationship. Him resting his hand in her lap after her scolding and her gently massaging it. Yeah those are real lovers. His beef with Ulf is so personal to me. Like yes threaten that uncouth vermin some more. Really reminded me of his fathers there. It's crazy though how Addam and Jace parallel each other though. Two of the best boys in Westeros that deserve the absolute world. Fate was unkind to them both as well.💔
Shout-out Simon Strong. One of my favorite characters this season along with lil Oscar. I love how he didn't let that traitorous snake Alfred slide. He let his queen know immediately. I love a loyal diva.
Tyland and the triarchy were funny though. Who would've thought I could've shown a Lannister besides Cersei love?!
I'm wrapping up this rant cause it's already so long-winded. The show is only slated for 4 seasons though btw. LMFAO.
Until next time folks. Take care of yourselves in the meantime.
Until season 3 folks.

i didn't understand the last two episodes of supernatural at all. was it a covid thing?? it felt like they were written by people who'd never watched the show who just got brought in to wrap it up quickly. why didn't they even try to rescue Castiel from the empty?? that's what I don't understand. I figured when Cass died the last two episodes of the show would be Sam and Dean rescuing him! but he just died and they never mentioned him again! it made zero sense. Dean dying in that stupid way in the finale was totally ridiculous too. a spike through the back?? that he just oops fell on?? it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Dean has died like a million times already. in way worse ways than that. he always comes back. we know that. we were just supposed to watch that and be like "oh well I guess this time it's for real" like Jack didn't literally just become GOD the episode before?? like they're not friends with a super powerful witch who is the queen of Hell? like Castiel hadn't died and gone to the Empty before and come back?? like they don't know any magic?? it made no sense. they should do more episodes just to erase those last episodes. like start up a new season with Dean waking up from a nightmare in his bed in the bunker and going "wow I'm glad that didn't actually happen. ok! time to go save Cass!"
well, they said it was a covid thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ and i am like, a show that ran for almost 2 decades and had such a huge legacy, couldn't you wait instead of rushing it so bad that it ended up a disaster?
i agree with you 10,000%! even the john and mary come back arc? It felt so out of place if you ask me. they were literally doing anything towards the end.
also yes! cass did so much for them and they never mentioned him again??? they were all about protecting their own and crossing any boundary to do so but the excuse was that the empty doesnt answer to anyone bla bla bla. the entirety of spns runtime was about finding a way! team free will and all. i feel like Misha was forgotten as a whole towards the end
oooff don't even get me started on deans death. it was so fucking lame that it was unreal. a man who came back from hell? survived the mark of cain? fought archangels and endured possession by them? survived purgatory? literally fought god and killed god died just like that? it was extremely stupid and a not fair to his badass character at all
the last episode was a mess. after the shit storm that they boys went through during the shows runtime, it should have honestly been a happy episode because they had earned it and i am not hearing anyone out sorry! for my own mental peace i like to pretend the last episode doesnt exist thank you!

College anon dropping in to say that the dubs aren't very good. Some, like the french one, sound like the text went through google translate (and the dubbing in general is terrible despite France having a good rep in the industry). The Italian version of Poison is low-key good tho
As for my reaction to Poison, imagine that gif of the happy yellow emoji looking traumatized/dead inside. I stared at the screen wondering what led me to watching this and how ANYONE would think this was a good scene. Vivziepop claiming that the leaks don't represent the full scene was right for once... It was so much worse. I could think of a more tasteful way to picture it in 5 seconds, it isn't that hard. She could have even kept most of the scene, just remove the graphic stuff to keep the suggestive dancing (a smart idea that should have remained subtle) and maybe keep the Val part à la Addict to show that, yeah, on top of "working" all night (because the graphic scenes made it obvious he stopped "enjoying" work early during the night), Val SA'd him and that shows the entirety of the hell he's going through. It explains why he breaks down and lashes out. Viv didn't need to keep most of the SA, the entire thing was implied.
Also episode 4 comes out of left field. Yes, it was foreshadowed since the beginning but why is Angel suddenly returning his calls? We SAW him ignore Val. He clearly HATES him. Since when is Husk calling him out and badgering him about being "fake"?? They've known each other for a WEEK. It's way too early for that. It's like we're missing 3-4 episodes of development in-between. Angel reconnecting with Val and showing hints that this is indeed a facade, Husk knowing a lot about everyone and giving a damn... This should be a mid-end of season arc for Angel. I'd personally make it end of season 1 so that he can show change during season 2, beginning as someone new, someone who slowly tries to show he cares and let down his bravado in small amounts, with clear hints of being a little scared of the reactions, until it naturally becomes his full-time persona. Maybe have Charlie notice at some point and subtly encourage him, DELIGHTED (in caps because that girl is extra) that Angel is getting better but having to keep her excitement in in fear of scaring him off (because Charlie should have SOME sort of emotional intelligence ffs).
Loser, Baby feels out of place. This is NOT the appropriate reaction to Angel's words. Did they rewrite the dialogue but not the song?? Here's how it sounds:
Angel: I feel like I've gotta be Val's perfect whore all the time so I'm trying to break myself enough he will be alone—
Husk: Well, it's okay to be a loser, baby! Look at me, I'm a failure too. You ain't special and it's okay!
....So Angel is a loser/failure/broken but Val is still into him??? Did they realize that this should send him the wrong message?! That Val will "love" him no matter what and that Angel cannot be free, that he's been making himself miserable for NOTHING?? First of all, Husk's greediness and addictions are NOTHING like Angel's situation. He signed with his real name. That alone implies that Val snatched him early on as he arrived. On top of that, he's being abused every way possible on the regular, for no fault of his own, and is self-destructing. He cannot kill himself and Val won't let him be killed. This is NOTHING like Husk losing a game for more power and being forced to be a bartender.
Here's how it should have gone for the song to work:
Angel: So?! The real me is a good for nothing loser who died in a ditch from some shitty coke! THIS is the famous, hotter than Hell pornstar that everyone wanna fuck! And I've— I've gotta be the part. 'Cause if I'm not... If I ain't then who am I?
Angel's fear should have been about being seen as who he was, as some loser that nobody loved. Let him feel like he beat his father, that now he's someone so suck it dad! You were wrong! Let Angel behave as if his life was a porn movie because that's all he knows now and what he thinks he should be like. Instead of trying to ruin himself so that Val discards him, have him try to be perfect... Because that'll stop the abuse, right? Val is happy when he acts like that. The perverts worship him. No one cares about Anthony.
That would make Loser, Baby work. It would achieve its goal of saying "it's okay to suck, we all do! Look at me, I'm a loser but my life isn't over!" and get Angel to accept that he's enough as he is. If you add in a few episodes beforehand to set it up, it could have worked better instead of being insensitive.
Personally I would have entirely changed the Angel/Val dynamic. Val can still be a whiny bitch but not in a drama queen way as is implied. He gets like that whenever he loses control of his favorite. Have one of the Vees groan and say something about Angel having done something as if it happened often. Make them used to Val throwing a fit because he didn't get what he wanted out of Angel or because he's having a jealousy fit. It already makes Val more controlling. It'll make the messages scene hit harder as, yeah, we can see why Angel left, the dude is unstable and obsessed. I'd be a little more fucked-up and have Angel kinda love him. Ofc in the Stockholm Syndrome way, he's been abused so much he's too attached to leave. That shift in dynamic would explain why he eventually goes back despite everything. Like in the show, he feels ignored in favor of the new resident and the way he's dismissed and talked about makes him feel like shit. He checks his phone again and ends up listening to Val's new voice messages... And this time, they're sickeningly sweet in a row. He's sorry, he's begging for him to come back. He loves him. And that's enough for Angel to go out or answer him. Put a few episodes in-between where Angel seems... Off? How weird, he's jumpy, more on his phone. He's out for parts of the episodes or clearly focused on something else. Then we get episode 4, where everyone culminates to show how bad the situation is for him. I'd personally not have Val hit him. He's smart enough to not leave bruises on his top whore. However, he's manipulative and threatening. There's no doubt that he COULD hit Angel whenever, especially with the way he cowers. Angel tries to diffuse the situation, so well that it's heartbreaking, and he gets bold. That line when he doesn't reply "Yes Val" is meant with silence as we wait for Val's reaction, waiting for him to blow up. A beat. He doesn't. He's not calm but he's not as angry. He's not going to hit him. He thanks Angel, touching him while the other flinches, a hint that he handles Angel roughly in this kind of situation, and just as Angel looks relieved, he announces that he'll have to work all night, distressing Angel again.
Ofc that would require extensive research and talk to specialists to do it well. Viv's audience can be stupid so it's more of a struggle to make it clear that none of this is Angel's fault and to not romantize this shit but it's more interesting than Val being so obviously abusive. IMHO he almost transformed into someone else in that episode and it could work but we didn't see enough of him to go "oh that's the old abuser trick! he's not as nice as he is with others when he's with his victim!". Idk how to put it sensibly but the impression he gave me was "whiny manchild who sadly was given enough power by Daddy Vox to abuse someone" instead of the intended "terrifying Overlord who is unstable and abusing his power to abuse whichever worker he fancies at the moment". I dunno Chai I just think it would work better if he were more manipulative and welding his power in other ways than by force. Like Angel isn't scared by his strength but by his influence. Also I would low-key find a way to make it so that Angel, mistakenly, thinks he can get away with some things to explain how he'd leave for the Hotel. Like having him not be a perfect victim. While he tries to cater to Val and keep him happy out of fear (and/or care because abuse fucks you up), he sometimes provokes him or tries to do his own thing. It'd show he's his own person and stuff. Sadly that would be lost on Viv's stans and it would absolutely spark some victim-shaming stuff or worse. But I think if she's gonna try to portray something like this, she could do with some nuance and not so... Cliché? Of course, it happens like this to too many people but it feels like she's applying a trope with no thought into it. The most cookie-cutter depiction she could do for quick satisfaction or to tick that case. A bit like how Stolitz is a mix of multiple tropes and is a terribly done version of that trope where a noble falls in love with someone whose class is lower with a sprinkle of badly done transactional relationship that sparks feelings. Thinking of HB, HH has better representation of abuse but not by much. I feel like if Stella was a man, she'd have written it this way? It felt like fetish fuel hiding underneath the surface whereas Stella was lazy writing.
I dunno man, I wanted to rant about Charlie and her design but episode 4 hit me like a wall of bricks
Thank you for all of this, College Anon. This was a great read, and you're right, the Italian version of Poison goes so much harder than the English.
Also Italian Val's voice is...yeah, 10/10 stars on that one. Mama mia.

I feel like you’ve answered this before, so perhaps you could just point me to your previous posts on the matter, but as a fairly new CSI fan - WTF was that divorce arc!!! I just can’t figure out how that would make sense for the characters other than the writers ‘wanted tension’. Was it simply they wanted a way to write Grissom completely out of the show? I mean, we already had an explanation as to why he wasn’t there - he was overseas, they had a long distance relationship. Watching Immortality, the whole thing just feels like genuinely bad writing choice. I’m not a fan of the later seasons in general, but ‘Grissom and Sara married and then divorced and then apparently didn’t speak to each other for at least 2-3 years’ just doesn’t make any sense to me at all. It does not fit with the previous fifteen years of show at all. It just feels like a weird, clumsy writing choice. Whenever I see Immortality I just think - this doesn’t make sense for the two of you! Anyway, wondered what your thoughts were.
hi, anon!
you're not alone in your feelings at all.
the divorce arc was the absolute nadir of series.
it was nonsensical from a character perspective. cruel to the fans. insulting to the actors. an utter narrative dead end (eventually all but retconned out of existence by the time of the reboot anyhow). reductive to previously established storylines and themes of the show. poorly rendered "in-episode," in terms of dialogue, story beats, pacing, etc. just abysmally bad writing all around.
i mean, in what universe would grissom and sara ever decide (as newlyweds, no less) to live 8000 miles away from each other and then allow their communication to lapse so badly over the next few long-distance years they eventually dissolved their marriage via telephone without either one of them ever bothering to get on a fucking plane to try to salvage things in person before the end?! how does that notion fit with anything we know about these two characters, who have been all but surgically attached to each other at the hip for the entirety of the show previously and who have both made big "get on a plane to be together" gestures toward each other in uncertain situations before? i mean, jesus fucking christ! it just doesn't track at all.
i make no secret of my deep and utter loathing for this arc (and neither, indeed, for all of the later seasons of the show just in general).
most often, i prefer not to acknowledge it at all, but i do have some old posts on it that may be of interest to you:
this one is just a good, old-fashioned rant about why i consider the divorce arc unjustifiable on every narrative level;
this one covers a lot of different divorce arc-related issues but especially focuses on how the writers failed, leading up to the divorce, to handle grissom and sara's marriage well during s10-s12;
and finally this one explains the bts decision-making from the writers and showrunners that ultimately led up to (and out from) the divorce arc, including where they made their major mistakes*.
* this post is an old one, written back when i was still in the business of trying not to bad-mouth the show or its writers overly much, so the ending kind of props up "immortality" more than it deserves; nowadays, i don't really consider the finale well-written at all. like you, i find it clumsy and weird.
anyway, the tl;dr of all of those posts is, ultimately, you hit the nail on the head: the writers essentially wrote themselves into a corner by initially making grissom and sara's marriage long-distance and then after a couple of seasons of floundering went for some cheap melodrama with the divorce to boost their ratings, somehow not realizing when they did so the intense audience backlash they would provoke. they then spent the next few seasons stuck in a holding pattern where sara was concerned, having no idea what the hell to do with her or how to wield her post-divorce, which resulted in them basically failing to develop her character at all beyond s13. finally, they lucked out when billy petersen agreed to reprise his role as grissom for the series finale, giving them the opportunity to undo their old, terrible mistake—however, at the expense of basically every other character and relationship on the show, all of which were shunted to the side in service of making "immortality" into a poorly-written, two-hour gsr made-for-tv movie. come the reboot, they then just tried to pretend like the whole divorce arc had never even taken place to begin with, which is honestly just as well, given what a shitshow the thing was, start to finish.
there's more salt like this—whole mines of it—in the posts i linked to you above.
suffice it to say, i am right there with you, anon, in my disdain for these storytelling mistakes.
thanks for the question! please feel welcome to send another any time.

I apologize if there's something already on your blog about this and I didn't find it, but I was watching tailgate party and realized that Shiv had spent the entire episode pacing around one apartment complex 6000 steps over and that the Roys do this a lot.
My memory of the last few seasons is fuzzy (<- binged it before and now doesn't remember shit) but I feel like the Roys spend a lot of time in very large, usually open spaces, with wide walls and tall ceilings, and usually ones we've seen before or are expected to see again and that a lot of important scenes happen *outside* of these spaces. Important meaning either big moments or iconic ones or sometimes just transitonary. Kendall had his Next-Jesus moment out in the ocean, Tom started throwing water bottles in that cramped ass escape room or talked about his marriage out on the beach, the entirety of Kill List happens outside of ATN offices, Logan meets Mattson for the first time on a personal island, Roman went to a random one story office environment for a fucking business school and was never the same character (well. compared to S1 Roman) again, they have that reverse Jesus thing over cruises on a cruise ship, etc. I feel like plane scenes could both fit into this or break it depending on the season but at least for other scenes I feel like there's a pattern here.
Outdoor spaces or parts where they actually put their shoes outside onto sidewalk always feel semi important to me but it doesn't even have to be outdoors specifically. Like, even just the honeymoon suite was different enough from every other building we'd seen the show have, and that's when Shiv admitted to cheating!
Do you think there's something to this, or do you have your own thoughts? I'd be interested to hear more if only to appeal to my ego ;-). There's other things that could connect to this like the grey-white-brown-dark blue color palette damn near every scene is in vs. scenes with real color inside of them and Kendall's asking why Sophie was "on the street" being indicative of how he thinks she should be raised (based on how he was raised and also how he can recognize the manipulation and abusive inherent to his father's parenting but not the more subtle isolation and neglect) and the fact the Roys are literally running an actual rat race while trapped inside Waystair Rocyo 1/2 the time but I have to stay focused on one thing when I write shit down even if I'm connecting dots in my head or else this ask won't even be remotely legible.
[If you already wrote about this - sorry! I hope this makes sense. Either way, have a good night, and fingers crossed something fun happens at Logan's funeral. I still want Tom to fight someone. It won't happen but it'd be funny as hell lol]
yeah i haven't really written anything comprehensive on this, but i do think there are a few interesting points with regards to how the show uses the characters' environments. forgive me for bullet-pointing lol, maybe you can help string these things together into something more cohesive. but:
yes, the characters often spend most of an episode trapped in one location, even one building. in part i think this is a function of the presence of playwrights on the writing staff, and the way many episodes flirt with the three classical unities of tragedy writing (time / place / action). so, lots of episodes are 1 day only, or 2 or 3 max, and often a character will be mostly confined to one location during that span. in part this helps make each individual episode really tight internally, but it also contributes to that persistent sense that the characters are trapped (within their circumstances, company, family, etc)
indoor vs outdoor is an interesting thread. one thing that has always stood out to me is that the show has a tendency to use natural sunlight not as refreshing, enlightening, etc, but as blinding, overwhelming, and even dangerous. the sun almost kills logan in s3, there are those shots in 2x10 and 3x09 where everyone's squinting in the bright light, there's a similar effect in 'austerlitz', etc. this contributed to the overall sense of discomfort that the roys experience, despite all their material luxuries; it also contributes to the sense that nature and the natural world is an alien, external force that appears threatening—this sense also comes out in all of the animal metaphors they use, which emphasise the brutality they see in the animal kingdom and in nature generally
if we're talking places, i also must bring up the presence of bathrooms on the show. these are quotidian rooms, but also dangerous ones, in the sense that they exist to purge a civilised society of its filth, and the whole process tends to be marginalised and wilfuly ignored. so, i've always liked that succession has a lot of scenes set in bathrooms, and often characters are able to speak differently in the bathroom—sometimes more intimate (kendall and stewy, tom and logan in 3x05), or more direct (greg and logan in 2x08), or they're allowed to say things they couldn't elsewhere (roman and mencken). bathrooms are also sheltered personal spaces, where the characters can retreat and hide (kendall using them to do coke, shiv practicing a smile in 1x02, greg rehearsing his congressional testimony)
the waystar offices obviously have that very 21st-century glass-and-steel aesthetic that telegraphs new money, a certain neoliberal attempt at severance from systems of social and cultural meaning-making, etc. so, moving the characters to other locations is effective because, in contrast to the kind of soullessness of the waystar building, it makes the other places stand out and emphasises the meaning we can glean from the sets alone (like, the gut-punch of dodds's house in contrast to the sort of corporate default)
in regards to the idea of control and confinement within luxe spaces—yes, this is clearly something we see many of the environments convey (the ultimate expression of this being the anti-suicide wall that logan puts up to pen kendall in). this is really a discrete material expression of how waystar operates in a broader sense, constraining people whilst appearing to create more options and more freedom (also a basic characteristic of neoliberal modes of production, lol)
again i'm not sure i have a thesis statement here unifying all of these observations lol. but i do think the show does well at using its environments and settings to tell us a lot about the characters, the company, and the broader world they inhabit.

finished lockwood & co! thoughts time!!
the more comprehensible ones first. the visual direction on this show is fucking genius!! some highlights include: lockwood's outfit (i want that coat), actually being able to see shit during the nighttime scenes, the design of the house, the choice to make lucy wear blue all the time, the stupid little uniforms that kipps and his guys wear, the design of the ghosts, the dream sequence in like episode 2 (?), the red room, etc.
also i called joplin being bad from the second she opened her mouth, i think it was the music that clued me in. hate her. the show did a great job making me extremely uncomfortable when she was around.
i love lockwood. asshole in a suit, and he's got trauma that causes him to be cold and arrogant and distant? sign me the fuck up! he looks good with his own blood running down his face (and i can say that bc his actor is 20)
i knew norrie was gonna die (or something similar) the moment they started talking about future plans in ep 1. still broke me when it happened. the 3 years earlier sequence was probably the most intense introduction to what i thought was gonna be a somewhat typical ya tv show i've ever seen
love that the show doesn't pretend to be self aware, and in fact leans into a lot of tropes and clichés bc it works! if they were too afraid to be seen as too cheesy it would've ruined the whole show, so i'm really glad they weren't
flo <3
i really like the writing. it felt very natural to go from one arc to another, the characters felt tangible, their actions completely within reason for who they are and what they've been through. could've fleshed out winkman (?) a little. he felt a little flat, though maybe he'll make a comeback in another season
they're fucking children. this whole world is fucked. they make children fight fucking ghosts. fucked up world. hope that if they make more seasons this will be addressed in depth. they hinted at it here and there, but i need them to have a full a-plot conflict about it. i haven't read the books but i'm assuming this is a thing that happens in them (and if not they really fumbled the bag)
sorry thinking about flo again.....
thinking about lockwood again. he needs to be bashed in the skull with a 2x4. maybe that'll make him normal. i love him <3
god george reminds me of michael from be more chill. no clue if you've seen it, or listened to the soundtrack, but they're the same person
since we're on the topic of george, that guy is so fucking autistic holy shit! so is flo. autistic in two different directions
i'll probably have more thoughts in a few days, once i've allowed myself to process the show in it's entirety. meanwhile enjoy... whatever this is :3
yessss!!!! so glad you enjoyed it, i'm literally so insane about it at the moment!
all the stuff about the costumes and set design and lighting is just like!!! hell yeah!! we can actually see at night, which is great because that's when the majority of it's set
the characters are all so so great and i love them and they have so much depth and interesting things about them!!! have you picked up on lockwood's socks yet? they start off pink and then as the series progresses they go to blue to match with lucy!!!
and the world building!!!!! you've probably gathered by now that i'm a sucker for good world building and this show!!!!!! has it!!!!! i really fuckin hope we get another season so we can see more of it (but also i'm gonna read the books soon so i'll know if the shit's all addressed)
george is so so autistic. and i get what you mean about flo, very true tbh
how did you feel about the slow burn romance? because i'm obsessed with it! how their hands always touch for a little too long etc
also i can fix kipps. yep. i can make him better. he grew on me towards the end and now i love him. pathetic man. falls exactly in my type
AND YES!! the intro shit was so!!!!! it was just!!! ahhh!!! norrie and lucy 100% had some gay shit going on. and it was so tragic and ajaavqghshshshs
the skull!!! i love/hate it! it's just so funny and silly and evil and manipulative!
and yeah with joplin i had a feeling from when she started talking with george. i was literally calling out 'grooming! grooming moment!' whenever she was with george. and the ending with the bone glass!!!! omg i went insane!
the winkman shit was terrifying, especially the auction. literally gave me goosebumps. but it was all worth it for the locklyle scene with lucy calming him down when he had a panic attack!
anyway as you can tell i'm not normal about this show

Show Log: Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu Pt.2
If you don't know the drill these are my thoughts opinions and reactions during my first watch through of Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu. I made one of these a couple of days ago and I'm back with so many more thoughts. Also spoilers, duh, for up to the episode listed below, and please no spoilers! We good? Good.
Season 2 Episode 14:
• I told you I'd riot. Grab your pitchforks my boy has lost his whimsy. I'm damn near certain at this point.
• Lloyd Garmadon loves his dad and genuinely believed that he'd break through to him, and he did, for a moment, but then his dad, who Lloyd believed to be all powerful, failed to fully break through.
•The pain in Lloyd's eyes (shut up shut up shut up, I know they're Legos) as the Overlord took control again and told Lloyd his father was gone. The way the line was delivered to be saw raw and wrong as Lloyd got overwhelmed and lost consciousness.
• The way he limped over to the shoreline immediately after waking up and how serious he's gotten. I just-- why must you torture my boy, he's just a kid.
• Give him one parent but take away another I think the fuck not. (I'm conflicted more on Lloyd's mama later) Give my boy his dad back, please.
• I think the only reason they aged Lloyd up was so that much pressure and stress wasn't portrayed on a literal elementary school aged kid. But guess what, and say it with me, 14/15 year olds are still just kids and should not be put in life changing and traumatizing scenarios.
• Additionally, destiny was talked about like a deity this episode, if "destiny" has a form as the Overlord did this episode I will give a swift kick to the groin for my boy Lloyd because what the ever loving fuck? The baby, the boy, my boy.
• Also Nya. My blorbo, my babygirl, my favorite girl. They turned her evil??? They turned her evil.
• SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDN'T FALL OFF THE CLIFF. Not cool. Not fucking cool.
• But she called after both Jay and Kai as they fell which is very important to me. It shows that she cares about both of them when in other media the "damsel in distress" might only call after her love interest, a lame trope imo.
• She then got kidnapped and fed pure darkness. Like what the hell? Not my Nya, not my girl. The boys are fucked, truly, they lost their girl. The one that makes them tech and upgrades their shit with better combat skills shown canonically, they're so screwed.
• I'm fairly certain she could've kicked their asses but whatever invincible soldiers with their invincibleness and Nya without any super weapons or tech.
• She said goodbye forever but istg if Jay and Kai don't rescue her and find a way to bring her back I'm gonna send a strongly worded email to Ninjago productions and explain why they single handedly ruined their show.
• Because brilliant, beautiful Nya has on multiple occasions carried the entirety of the Ninjago Masters and they would collapse without her. Additionally I believe good written women in what is primarily a show written for boys is incredibly important because it portrays women as complex and strong people which they fucking are.
• Also Jay's character writing is giving me whiplash (more on that later) but I think he's back to normal now?
• Nya got kidnapped and he lost his shit as any good boyfriend would do. They kiss but haven't put a label on it and Nya means the world to him and it shows in the show consistently. Very nice, I appreciate.
• I feel like Kai's reaction should've been a little stronger after they all fell into the sea, because him screaming Nya's name and then acting calm and rational was, ngl, kinda weird kinda suspect.
• but then again no one believes in Nya more than Kai. Kai knows his sister and that she is stronger than most of the team and smarter than most of them too.
• That being said it feels likely that he felt a need to stay strong and focused so they didn't all fall apart as well which with my interpretation forgives the initial reaction.
Season 2 episode 6 - 13:
• Lloyd's mom dropped him off as a baby to the Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys. As a baby. I was right. His attachment style is anxious avoidant. It's plain as day when he interacts with his mom.
• At least she's back now and supportive as she appears to love her son. Hopefully she's not evil and doesn't betray him. I don't think she is so far she's pretty motherly and seems to have a thing for Wu.
• She's a homie hopper. Likes both brothers.
• It's not cool how she said she chose the wrong brother though because Lloyd wouldn't have been born is what I got from that, my own mommy issues peeking through I presume. But Lloyd is such a good boy, legitimately, so he deserves appreciation.
• Also I'm pretty sure Lloyd doesn't get what's going on between Wu and his mom because when he asked her "So how'd you meet him" she replied with "Who, Wu?" And he went "what? no. My dad.😐"
• This proves, to me, that his mind is not at a teenager level of development yet as his body is. That or he has no exposure to romantic situations and therefore doesn't know the social cues. Yet again, my boy didn't deserve this and also he's just like me fr fr?
•Zane's dad is alive!!! Woohoo!! And he's adorable an adorable inventor.
• And the sanest insane person I have ever seen. I mean mans went I'm not a fighter and then proceeded to fly the blimp into Garmadon's face. I love him.
• Also his story reminds me of the Greek myth of Icarus and Icarus' dad. Because he was locked in a tower gaurded by a monster and told to invent in order to see his son again.
• I am in love with Zane's dad. Literally like 💍🧎
• He's so, y'know smart and loving and shit. He's also ambitious, patient and slightly insane so my type.
• If there are more parallels I'll cry. *death glaring at Zane* please don't fly too close to the sun I will be annihilated on spot.
• Cole is so comfortable with his dancing now, not him moonwalking and singing over enemies after he got his weapon back he's so silly.
•Just a little guy who likes to sing, dance, and beat up bad guys.
• Why did they turn Jay's idiot meter up so high?
• Like my mans was fully just dumb dumb baby there for a bit there. "I don't pack clean undies. Like my mommy advices cause real men only wear one :P."
• Like bbg. No. Nya deserves better, you have to keep using that brain you goofy goober, you can't just lose you braincells because she likes you---- *sudden self-realization* oh no...
• Additionally his cowardice seems to be heightened. Which understandable the boys are going through the wringer in terms of stressful situations. Which once again say it with me, teenagers are still kids, and you should not chuck them into dangerous, traumatizing, experiences. You will cause psychological issues for the rest of their lives. Woo.
• Also Jay's parents are so real for telling him he's not allowed to save Ninjago unless he eats his veggies. 🫡🫡🫡
• god this is unhinged and I sound like a 27 year old dad, I'm 18 wtf?
• Nya my beloved builds so much cool surprises and shit and Jay is always so pumped for them <333 I love them.

Hi Guys. i never post here usually but today i will! because elon musk irreparably fucked up twitter & i want to make a long analysis post so Ummmm. hope you like Good Omens. and mitski.
Ineffable Husbands & Be The Cowboy
-> Why I think BTC is THE Ineffable Husbands album. My certifications are errrm. Long-Time Mitski listener and major Good Omens fan. Buckle down for this one >_<.
!!S2 SPOILERS AHEAD!!
1. Starting off strong, the album begins with Geyser. To me, this song represents how Crowley sees Aziraphale, and their relationship. Let's take a look at the lyrics.
Tumblr media
I interpret the first stanzas (is that the right word in songwriting?) As being representative of Crowley's devotion to Aziraphale. Throughout Good Omens we watch him turn down offers from Hell so that he can prioritize Aziraphale & His safety.
The final two stanzas are what really Solidify my relation of Geyser to Crowley & his relationship with Aziraphale for me.
"Though I'm a geyser, feel it bubbling from below, hear it call, hear it call, hear it call to me, Constantly."
Crowley is a Demon. The Geyser (in this interpretation) is Hell. Crowley serves Hell, he does the work that he is told to do On Earth, without complaint (mostly). However, he only "Hears the harmony" (gets in direct/threatening contact with Hell) when something big is happening, and usually that "Harmony" (Hell's orders/plots) harm him and/or Aziraphale. and it's not real enough. The demons describe Crowley as having "gone native", due to having been on Earth so long. The Earth is what's real to him, but more accurately Aziraphale is what is real to him. They cannot be without one another, and when one individual has been the only Present figure in your life consistently for the last 6,000 Odd Years that partnership would feel So real & valuable, to the extent that I firmly believe they would be willing to change for each other if they communicated it. (I will be the one you need, I just can't be without you.)
*Interesting comment, the entirety of the second half of the song can also be applicable to Aziraphale & his relationship with Crowley/how it clashes with his devotion to Heaven. They parallel each other so much it makes me a bit sick.
2. The second song on the album I'm looking at is Old Friend. I'm not applying every song on the album to Aziracrow, because Ummm. I don't wanna. (Although, if you wanna go back and listen to "Why Didn't You Stop Me?" I think it's definitely applicable to the end of s2.) Anyhow, I interpreted Old Friend as representative of how Aziraphale views Crowley.
Tumblr media
The first stanza is filled with regret, and I think it's kind of how s2 Aziraphale might look back onto their relationship in s1. "We nearly drowned for such a silly thing" is like their Bandstand fight & how it near ruined their relationship due to. Horrific miscommunication (yay!). The someone who loves Aziraphale better now is Crowley, and "You" in the following line is Heaven. This is when it switches up, though, because I see the rest of the song being addressed to Crowley. Obviously so much of their relationship and dynamic prior to s2 was them meeting in Unlikely places, often over a meal/food. Hence the meeting at the diner. Now, admittedly Aziraphale would Never just take coffee, but let's ignore that because he Would absolutely talk about nothing and take anything Crowley wanted to give him.
Tumblr media
The third stanza is where it gets interesting. Aziraphale views his Relationship with Crowley with a lot of anxiety. In season one he describes it as "fraternizing with the enemy", and he's Distinctly afraid of what Heaven might do in reaction to his friendship with Crowley being discovered. But he's also notably fearful of what Hell might do to Crowley, since she has nowhere to go lower than Hell. Aziraphale is anxious by nature, and so is Crowley, so I think their mutual agreement to keep their Association on the down-low during s1 versus their openness about being Together-but-not-together-together in s2 is a Lovely character progression. The last stanza is repetition, but I think that if we're viewing it in Gomens chronological order it'd be post-s1 time, and how Aziraphale and Crowley are perfectly comfortable in s2 giving to one another and meeting to do whatever they like.
3. Of course I was gonna mention Me and My Husband. Who do you take me for. I did skip a few songs between Old Friend & Me and My Husband. So Sorry! listen to the whole album, i think even if it's not enough for me to add to this post about, i could probably find Some silliness happening in all of tjem. Anyways, i see Me and My Husband as the way that Both Aziraphale and Crowley view the other.
Tumblr media
I think the most important lines for The Purpose of this post are "It's always been just him and me / Together / So I bet all I have on that / Furrowed brow". Because they just have so Much sickening faith in each other. despite both of their anxious natures, they trust each other Wholly (Aziraphale having Crowley assist in the bullet between the teeth magic act while their miracles were blocked, Crowley letting Aziraphale (who hasn't driven in 90 years) drive alone in his most prized possession/technical home.) This trust comes from the fact that it Has just been the two of them together. the first stanza reflects on mortality, but i see it in this context as being about their time on Earth. Together, Crowley & Aziraphale steal a few breaths from the world for a minute (from its creation until its eventual destruction) and then they will be nothing forever again, in Heaven and Hell respectively, without the other, which to them is Nothing & hasn't been. they created a sanction for themselves for a reason!
4. Pink in the Night. Words can't possibly describe the love i have for this song. it makes me feel ILL. and it is Most Definitely how Crowley sees Aziraphale in s2, and then post s2, i think.
Tumblr media
Crowley hears her heart breaking in advance, i think. As unfortunate and horrible as it is, Nina was right when she said that everyone's love lives look much simpler when viewed from an outside perspective. Aziraphale is Deft, he is Smart, but emotionally constipated. his constant inward moral debate prevents him from reacting well when given a love confession, even from His Life Partner. I think every drop of rain singing I Love You is the kiss, and how it is effectively a plead, and a beg for Aziraphale to just stay. Crowley knew he had to put every ounce of passion into the kiss, because he thought it would change Aziraphale's mind. as we (unfortunately) know, there's simply too much miscommunication for that to have worked, and i believe that crowley was at least partially aware of that. it always needed to be a discussion, because their priorities were both each other, but the sacrifices that needed to be made got confused. (Aziraphale thinking Crowley's hatred for Heaven outweighed his love to Aziraphale, Crowley thinking Aziraphale's devotion to Heaven outweighed his love for Crowley.) and so it went the way it did.
Tumblr media
I always thought an interesting thing about Aziracrow's relationship is how Crowley is commonly narratively framed as being the "fast one", which is contradictory to another thing he is often framed as, that bejng the Follower. she is so often seen following behind Aziraphale, going where he goes, and Giving (Not that Aziraphale doesn't do these things for Crowley too.) Crowley could Truly stare at Aziraphale's back all day. she holds him at arm's length while simultaneously reaching out and Clawing for what he can get, because i really think she feared his rejection more than anything. and i think that Crowley would give anything to try again, because despite being So Angry, losing their 6000 year partnership is a blow that she Will not quickly recover from, especially if he feels like it's his fault.
5. Two Slow Dancers, naturally. I think that this one is probably the most Aziracrow of the bunch. it makes me So so sad. Also the last one I'm looking at because it is 4 AM and i've ran out of grapes to Chow down on. This song is just Them. It's them. trust me. it's unapologetically, tragically Aziraphale and Crowley.
Tumblr media
They have both done it all a hundred times before, Fought, laughed, spoken!! and they always remember, down to The Date, they remember every time and location of where they interact because That is their timeline, i imagine. and they forget Details about everything else, but never each other. Argh.
Tumblr media
I think this stanza is how Aziraphale sees it. If they were both Young again (as in, both angels again) there would be no concern with Sides or celestial politics. but that isn't what Crowley wants, and that isn't how it will be. Aziraphale is idealistic to a fault, and so they will continue their slow dance around one another. or at least they were meant to, if it hadn't been for the intervention of the Metatron.
Tumblr media
The ground is, of course, Heaven and Hell respectively. They got their few years of peace, and then of course God wants Aziraphale back for her Puppet, and so while it'd still be easier if they were young again, Crowley knows how unrealistic an idea that is.
Tumblr media
Crowley thought that they could stay the same, and continue their Dance. because they were there at the creation of the Earth, the beginning, and they would have been there at the end, the last ones out. Aziraphale, on the other hand, wanted things to be different. His devotion is changing Heaven for Crowley, and for Better. but they cannot be both at once, and yet again their conditions for communication were as piss-poor as always. and so despite the love Being so obviously and painfully there the both of them were left with believing it wasn't Quite enough for the other. i hate Them (pos).
anyways. That's it! sorry i couldnt look at every song on the album, it really is Art, go give it a listen!! thanks for reading any/all of that. i'll be surprised if i go back and reread this & see anything remotely coherent. btw if you're not a big Mitski fan and u want some recommendations, some Ineffable Husbands coded songs of her's from other albums include Once More To See You, I Guess, I Want You (Can't possibly emphasize that one enough, it's how Crowley sees Aziraphale.), and Bug Like an Angel are all FIRE.!!!!!

sorry in advance this response is gonna be thorough as hell because i wanna say so many things on this topic
"people are so invested into him they want to deny his bad attributes and force wukong into this role of a "awful, toxic abuser"
this is so real. i can't believe the amount of people who hate or just shit on wukong solely because of what macaque says about him. it's even crazier to me because macaque is the one that constantly tormented MK, just for the sole reason that he's wukong's successor. if either of them was "an abuser" i think just watching the show with Your Eyes Open should tell you who that is.
but lmk fans, and i guess a lot of fandom people in general can't comprehend that le tragic backstory doesn't excuse the persons actions. in fact i think less of macaque for not fucking getting over it and dragging people who are only related by knowing wukong into it. wanna get revenge on wukong? then attack wukong.. what in the world does MK have to do with your mess
when in reality macaque is just very delusional and always paints himself as the person in "the right". he says wukong abandoned him, he left wukong when he needed macaque
i was literally talking about this to my friend. when i first had the realization that macaque was lying during shadowplay after s4's finale, and that he is technically the one who left first, i mentioned it to him and he told me "i think macaque is extremely mentally ill, not even in a joking way". like YEAH. and i think a character like that, who's literally deluded themselves into believing one thing and holding a grudge for so long, is actually super clever. especially since he did a good job of not only convincing himself, but also the entirety of the fandom that he was in the right.
the whole point is that wukong and macaque have a lot of baggage and macaque reacts by trying to make it everyones problem. and thats totally fine!! thats how he is as a character thats one of his flaws!!! its good writing!!!!!
RIIIGHTTTT??? it's actually interesting to watch how both of them deal with their problems. it looks like wukong pretty internalizes it and clearly has a lot of self loathing, while macaque externalizes it by taking it out on everyone around him. something i also noticed while watching season 3 was how despite the fact macaque was forced to work with the lady bone demon, he was... very clearly enjoying it.
watch the first couple episodes he appears in, and count how many times hes fucking giggling and belittling everyone. he very clearly doesn't regret his actions either, it actually feels like him hurting other people makes him feel better in some way?? with wukong it makes sense, but he says in season 2 that MK is a good person and that he sees potential in him, so the way he keeps switching up is actually so fascinating to me. he's so fucked up and petty it's actually interesting.
i get so frustrated when people try so hard to turn macaque into this spotless hero that was always shunned by his peers when he is objectively a villain, especially towards wukong and mk. like, bro manipulates and and ruins mk's psyche just so he can get back at wukong.
macaque himself says he isn't a hero, so to watch people go against that and potray him like he's perfect and misunderstood is... Interesting... i feel like he's actually quite easy to understand if you just stop projecting onto him. lmao. and like i said before his behaviour towards MK who quite literally had nothing to do with him and his problems with wukong is just so. horrifying??? and even more horrifying that everybody IGNORES it??? he literally trapped MK's friends in the lantern to teach him a lesson about "not abandoning his friends" like MK wasn't trying to spare them from the trauma he's faced. like, i guess macaque thought he was repeating wukong's mistakes, but what in the WORLD does that have to do with you my guy. it didn't even teach MK anything. showing him a gay ass play about your ex then traumatizing him for the Second time because what... he's so twisted it's actually really fucking funny. why does nobody characterize him like this.
its okay to like the villains </3
PREACH IT!!!! i love pretty much all the villains and i love how differently they're written. all of them have such vastly different motivations to do what they do (although azure and lbd were kinda similar in concept just different in execution). makes me feel kinda bad that all of them are either fucking DEAD or pretty much irrelevant side characters used for fanservice. *cough* demon bull family *cough*
i think people should embrace criticizing the characters they like 👍 did you know macaque is one of my favourites despite how much i just shat on him. i rotate him in my brain all the time. i used to hate lbd too before i opened my eyes and realized shes actually just like me. and i mourn azure and his massive tits every night. even wukong despite how unbelievably bad his communication skills are i still think of him every day and night.
i think i wrung out all of the thoughts i have in my jumbled up brain... thank you for being correct. its rare to meet somebody in a fandom who actually understands what the hell they're talking about .
#Yeah literally lmk fandom with macaque#its always shocked me since the fandom really blew up in 2022 how much people sympathize with macaque and demonize wukong#when it shouldve been obvious from the very beginning that macaque is extremely biased and untrustworthy#and even when the s4 finale dropped i see people on twitter going “no guys shadowplay is still important!!!” its. its okay to admit he lied#whether he did that subconsciously or intentionally is a different story but#i guess it doesnt help wukong never actually says his own side of the story#but lmk fans u know what unreliable narrators are right? right????
from @hangcastles abt this post
u put it how im thinking its like. see. the problem is people really relate to and like macaque and because of that no one wants to see him "be a villain", because that means they relate to someone thats "evil". it's like..... guys he's just a cartoon character. it's okay to relate to a villain

It’s almost been 24 hours since vol 2 came out and I’m still super pissed off, so here’s a list of everything wrong in volume 2.
Byler. Queerbait of the fucking century??? I would’ve been significantly less upset if they hadn’t advertised/marketed it so hard during pride month. And making the queer kid the sad gay vessel through which the straight couple thrives is nothing short of homophobic.
The deaths. They advertised this season as being particularly dangerous/full of death, which was a straight up lie. The only people who died were either antagonists or minor background characters, with the exception of Eddie (though it was extremely obvious from the start that he was canon fodder, much like Bob- despite how much I liked Eddie’s character, there was never a doubt in my mind that he wasn’t going to die.)
Max’s “death”. So I know I just did a section on the deaths but this one pissed me off so much I had to give it it’s own seperate section. Max’s “death” was a total copout. Don’t get me wrong, I love her character. But I wish she did die. Having someone die and be brought back to life is such a terrible, cliche, overused trope. It’s too safe of a choice. Where is the danger? I want to actually be scared that the characters I love might not make it out alive. And since when could El bring people back to life? That’s never been explored in the show before, making it completely out of place and confusing when watching the scene. Having Max die would’ve been impactful, and shown to the audience that any of the characters can die, not just new ones, or unimportant background ones. It would’ve raised the stakes! The scene where she “died” was heartbreaking and powerful, but then they negated that by bringing her back to life, rendering the scene pointless. They either should’ve actually genuinely killed her, or not have her “die” at all. Having that “in-between” sort of situation where she technically died, but came back to life (albeit in a coma) was super flaky, and imo, bad writing.
Speaking of bad writing, the time skip! This is genuinely one of the worst things I’ve seen implemented in the show. I generally don’t like time skips anyway, but at least the one at the end of s3 made sense. The main drama of that season was resolved, and they needed to show the Byers moving away. The time skip this season, however, made 0 fucking sense. The drama hadn’t been resolved, it just skipped like half of the climax and the entirety of the falling action, and went straight to the resolution (which wasn’t even a resolution at all). 2 days is a pretty big time skip to implement after skipping half the climax. What happened during those two days??? It was confusing as fuck, and none of the characters actions/behaviour during the “resolution” phase of the story made sense, maybe with the exception of Dustin and Lucas, who were shown to be grieving unlike almost everyone else. You’re telling me that Nancy, Robin and Steve just fought fucking Vecna, almost died, and some of their friends did die (if you count Max) and two days later they’re happily packing up a bunch of old belongings to donate, without a care in the world? And during that scene, there seemed to be little to no concern about Mike’s whereabouts from the entire Wheeler family until he actually showed up. They mentioned they’d been trying to contact them for days, but nothing about their demeanour beforehand implied concern.
The monologue. Need I even say more? It was cheesy, cringey, and made no narrative sense. The reasoning Mike gave for being unable to tell El he loved her was one of the stupidest reasons I’ve seen in media, ever. Where was the “amazing monologue” we were promised by the Duffers? That sure as hell isn’t what I’d call amazing. Finn is a great actor, and he’s done amazing monologues before (*cough cough*, the shed scene) so that isn’t on him, it’s on the shitty script. “I feel like my life first started when I met you in the woods”? Bullshit, and such a cruel thing to say in front of Will, who’s life was literally turned upside down on the exact same day. “I loved you since the moment I saw you”? Love at first sight is a cringey trope. Mike was 12 when he first met Eleven. He probably didn’t even know the meaning of love, especially when you take a look at how dysfunctional his parents marriage is/Nancy, his older sisters relationship at the time was. Also, how can he say he loved her the moment he saw her when he spent most of s1 trying to get rid of her (saying he was going to send her back to pennhurst) and calling her a “weapon”? El could’ve found strength to beat Vecna in something far more significant than a teenage boy telling her he loves her, but noooo.
Will’s painting. I really feel like I don’t have to elaborate on this one. It just fucking sucked. They built it up like it was going to be some really important declaration of love from Will to Mike, only to have it be used to help further Mileven. Also the actual painting was ass, and all the fan theories about it were way better and more meaningful. (Like the idea we all had of the swingset where Mike and Will first met, or even just a painting of the two of them as their D&D characters, but SEPERATE from the rest of the group so it was actually obvious what the painting meant.)
The upside down thing with Henry?? I don’t even know what’s going on there. It was super confusing. Is the mind flayer actually Henry? Did El create the upside down or was it there before? Why did it look like that when Henry first got sent there, but looks like Hawkins now? I know they’ll likely answer these questions next season, but there’s just too many questions and knowing now how shit the duffers are at writing, I doubt they’ll all be answered satisfactorily.
The terrible character development. By that, I mean that there was none. Literally no characters had any development. They were all exactly the same as they were at the start of the season. El is still dependent on Mike/isn’t her own person. Mike is still a fucking asshole who treats his friends like shit. Will is still in the closet and hiding his true feelings from everyone around him. Nancy and Jonathan are still lying to each other. Steve is still pining after Nancy. Robin is still pining after Vickie. I could go on and on.
The Duffers hate minorities + poor people. Will and Robin, the two queer characters, don’t get well rounded love interests like all of the straight characters, and Will in particular is made to suffer constantly. Lucas and Erica, the two black characters, are both physically assaulted. Max and Eddie, the two poorest characters, who are living in a trailer park, fucking die. (from @hellfireds) Oh, also? The Duffers filmed parts of s4 in a fucking Nazi prison, where Jewish people were held against their wills and killed. (from @artmuseumsandoldbooks)
I’m going to keep updating this list as I think of more things that are wrong with vol 2. There’s already so many things I could add if I decided to include the shit wrong with vol 1 as well, but vol 2 was significantly worse so I’m just gonna stick to that. Feel free to suggest anything else I should add to the list
In conclusion, FUCK THE DUFFERS

"We all know she can't survive the wilderness by herself, she can't even survive a Holiday Inn." — Leah Rilke
Personal Highlights of the Episode
The impersonations of Fatin by the girls.
Tumblr media
The sequence that flips back and forth with Fatin practicing the cello and partying. Two sides of the same coin, but 99% of people only judge her based on one side of her.
“I’m not fucking crazy!” I know most people either love/hate Leah, but jfc Sarah Pidgeon is an excellent actor and plays Leah’s moments to perfection, especially during her non-verbal scenes. The emotion she displays with just facial expressions is just fantastic.
Tumblr media
If you guys don’t know by now, I’m a Leatin whore (but like, even at a basic BFF level too. I’ll take any and all forms) so THE highlight is the makeup hug.
Tumblr media
Things I Didn't Catch the First Time
These girls just strolling through the woods with no means of protection. Dot should know better. Why haven’t they at least sharpened a tree branch or something? Even a blunt branch would be better than nothing.
Shelby and Toni catching eyes while they sit by the fire waiting for the water to boil and Martha counting. Then Shelby stealing a second glance back to Toni? The Shoni clues were subtle and built up perfectly throughout the season.
Observations / Theories / Questions
Everything during this episode just screams “Don’t underestimate Fatin.” Everyone at some point underestimates her and it blows up in their face. Fatin’s dad, the girls thinking Fatin wouldn’t rip her own pants, Leah in general, Gretchen, Dot/Shelby/Rachel when they immediately assume she was just painting her nails, and most likely the agent too (even though we don't see them interact with her much).
THEORY – Fatin’s interview reveals big ass information going forward, whether it be Nora’s fate or something they find out in season 2, which is why Fatin has the shortest interview out of all the girls. Most of the episodes have the girls talking to the agents sporadically throughout it, Fatin gets one sequence and it’s all about believing Leah’s theories. Then all three looking back and forth between each other? It’s weird as hell. And what do we learn this episode? Fatin is really good at reading people. Fatin, per her father, has no respect for authority figures. While I believe all the girls are skeptical of the agents, all of this leads me to believe Fatin will be the first one we see actually fight back against them during the interview.
THEORY – The agents and Gretchen will focus on Leah unraveling their experiment, but in reality, it’s going to be Fatin. She’s the only one that listened to Leah from start to finish (I think the other girls will get on board at some point in season 2) and she’ll be the one that silently questions things when Leah verbally brings it to attention. Fatin blows things up when she’s 100% certain and covers her ass in the process, whereas Leah reacts impulsively and it bites her in the ass most of the time. Therefore, Leah will react too soon, and Gretchen’s team will shut it down, BUT Fatin comes in to save the day when they make the same mistake everyone else does and underestimate her.
Tumblr media
Fatin is super critical of her mother (calling her Dragon woman), but immediately takes her side when shit goes down with her dad. We even see Fatin admit to Leah later in the season that she misses her mom. Her mom that we only ever see push her to be better. Fatin’s mom is probably the only person who has never underestimated her and knows exactly what she has the potential to be.
THEORY – Fatin is painted early on as Daddy’s Little Girl and even told by him that “You’re just like your dad, kid.” I think Fatin’s biggest fear is that she really is just like her father, even after telling him that they’re nothing alike. I think, while on the island, we will see Fatin transition into the person her mother has always seen in her: driven, passionate, strong, and successful. Fatin is not like her father; she will be exactly what we’ve seen her mother be pre-scandal. A powerful woman whose success is her own. This is also why I can’t see Fatin’s mom staying with her husband permanently. Everything we’ve seen of her screams that it’s out of character for her to stay with a man cheating on her.
Leah’s emotional distraught over Fatin being lost after dragging her every chance she got earlier. The voice crack when finding Fatin. Not criticizing Fatin for just painting her nails like Rachel, Shelby and Dot do. Where my Leatin stans at?
Tumblr media
Not that I’m experienced in any capacity when it comes to infidelity, but like, wouldn’t the smart move be to not have your tablet on full display in the kitchen when you’re receiving/sending nudes? You’re rich (or your wife is anyway), Mr. Jadmani, buy a damn burner phone or something.
“Stop fighting, you’ll see everything gets easier.” Hearing this after knowing what Martha’s backstory is… wow.
Tumblr media
It’s completely fucked that Fatin’s mom lost her listings because her husband cheated on her. Like what kind of logic is that bullshit? This asshole literally sitting right beside her putting the blame and consequence on HER. SHE won’t be able to show her face, dude, what the fuck about you? Society is fucked, man.
Alex is the only one on Gretchen’s team that I like.
THEORY – I think he’s the one that blows this whole operation open when the girls get rescued. He’s gonna be the one to side with them if/when it goes to court, even if it means incriminating himself. OR Gretchen is going to frame Alex for the death of Jeanette and he’ll go down for her murder. He obviously carries a lot of guilt over her death, and probably will accept his fate if it comes to that.
Why the hell we throwing a whole ass book into the fire when you should be tearing pages out to prolong the longevity of the fire?
Fatin’s social awareness is not talked about enough. She’s the only one that notices Leah’s in her head after finding Jeanette’s body missing, she notices Leah has separated herself from the group after finding Fatin and is the one that approaches Leah to make amends, she knows exactly what needs to be done to calm her mom down (lipstick), etc.
I think it’s a nice comparison to the flashbacks with her dad when Fatin is the one to initiate the making up with Leah. We see that Fatin makes ZERO effort to apologize to her parents about leaking the nudes, and I think both these scenes really cement the fact that Fatin won’t apologize for something she thinks is right. Her belief in her own ethics and morals will never be put on the back burner to make someone else feel better, but that doesn’t mean she won’t apologize when she knows she’s partially to blame or out of line.
Final thought – Fatin is underrated as hell, and the layers to her character are subtle enough that she really does appear basic to anyone who isn’t actively paying attention to her. She’s a very complex and well-written character. I have a hard time picking a favorite out of the girls, but Fatin is definitely up there.

Field Notes
Field Note #051—Fatin’s mom is one of the top real estate agents in the Bay Area. She sells big-ticket properties in San Francisco and the East Bay, and prides herself in hosting the best open-house events. One of her secrets is playing classical music at just the right volume to make the house feel classy yet cozy.
Field Note #052 – Cellists and other string performers can’t keep long nails because they interfere with technique.
Field Note #053 – Fatin only goes for college dudes. Her take on high school guys? They haven’t done enough living. If a guy doesn’t have a monthly car payment or do his own laundry, how can he be trusted in a hook-up context?
Field Note #061 – How each girl learned to swim: Martha took a class with her mom; Toni would sneak into her neighbor’s above-ground pool by night until she kind of just taught herself; Rachel and Nora had private lessons; Fatin’s grandparents had an infinity pool; Leah learned in Lake Tahoe at a family reunion; Dot went to the quarry; and Shelby’s dad threw her into the country club pool sink-or-swim style.
Field Note #062 – The waterfall is an especially good water source because the water is moving, decreasing the chances of bacteria.

So if we're gonna really het up tma to the worst degree we gotta change some fundamentals.
1. Melanie is not an avatar of the slaughter anymore. She's an avatar of the desolation now because in het media, woman who can physically destroy you = evil and bad. So, to keep her a hero but still able to have her anger infantilized and made the butt of a joke, she now has desolation fire powers because women always get relegated to mental abilities unless they're an NLOG or a hot villain lady. As Melanie will be seen as a "raging feminist" trope, but not an NLOG, she's also going to get powers of destruction to illustrate that "feminism has come too far" as well as so the men can be like, "Jeez, sweetheart, don't get so heated," *canned laughtrack*
2. Jo(H)n is an avatar of the hunt. In het media the eye would be too wimpy, it's the nerd that gets shoved in the lockers by the other entities. And since protagonists in these sort of bad media need to be mega jocks, what's the most jock entity? The flesh, but here the flesh becomes a ham-fisted allegory for fat people, so the next most jock while still maintaining the pretense of investigative work, is the hunt. Also when Elias says that they're all bound to the eye now, JoHn is the one to find the solution but only has to gouge out one eye to sever his connection so that he gets to wear a badass eye patch like solid snake.
3. Martin is an avatar of the flesh. As I said before, the flesh is now a hamfisted allegory for fat people, so obviously that's the only entity they can be associated with because that's the only personality trait fat characters can have in het media. However, I could also see the corruption in this hell form TMA takes as Jane Prentiss and him enter a very unhealthy relationship that's played like George Costanza's engagement in Seinfeld only ending when Prentiss is struck down by JoHn because he has to do all the cool things, he's the protagonist. So probably he'd start with connections to the corruption but end up an avatar of the flesh.
4. After the Unknowing Tim comes back as an avatar of the stranger. Does this conflict with literally everything his character has established with him becoming aligned with the entity that killed his brother and Sasha? Yes. Does character integrity matter in het media? No. So he comes back slinging quips and one-liners because in het media the stranger would be portrayed as a cross between the web and the spiral. Plus Tim, as the token gay rep, would use the stranger's shapeshifting abilities to be a predatory (tm) gay until they confront him on it and it turns out that this is just how his powers are manifesting and then they say that it's making him a monster and kill him again, this time for permanent. It's bury your gays, but worse.
5. Daisy is an avatar of the lonely. Because in het media, the reason she'd be so aggressive would be tied into her being deeply lonely and unable to find a man to love her. This is the only character depth she gets for the entirety of this series. But, then, after Prentiss is killed, her and Martin end up together, because they are both deeply lonely and unlovable by conventional standards. And through a man's love, she is able to control her avatar powers, conquer her fear, and feel fulfilled. It's awful.
6. Basira is an avatar of the eye. Being smart is her only personality trait and no, we are just gonna ignore the Eye's ties to a surveillance state, we will not discuss those implications at Moldy Pencil. She is relegated to a background character whose only trait is being smart but not smarter than JoHn and most of the villains, because that would imply a female character is essential and can't be arbitrarily killed off. Anyways, her family is a bad racist terrorist trope and are a part of a cult dedicated to the slaughter that is bad in both idea and execution. That's the only story she gets and in the end she realizes that her family is bad and takes off her hijab as a symbol of cutting ties with them. It's awful, moving on.
7. Georgie is a buried avatar. First off, she's a main love interest, so her power's can't be gross, that crosses off the corruption. Second off, the reasoning is because she feels buried under Melanie's fame and feels like she can't get out from her shadow, like she's drowning in it, she's given depth, because, again, main love interest for JoHn and also it relates to hating another woman so it's fine in het media. Anyways, much like how Daisy gets fixed by falling in love with Martin, Georgie is fixed by falling in love with and having a kid with JoHn.
8. Sasha. Okay so she gets fridged by becoming Not!Sasha, but she's actually not dead. She's trapped in the table. When the table is destroyed, it doesn't free notthem, it does destroy it and frees the people who were replaced. During her imprisonment in the table realm, Sasha became a web avatar! And now she's got a sexy spider theme to her and she becomes a bit of a femme fatale. Having been an NLOG prior to being tabled, Sasha is allowed to be physically powerful but, no woman is allowed to be sexually liberated. Her and JoHn fuck repeatedly until he realizes that she's manipulating him from his pure Christian path, it is then that it's revealed that JoHn is not only going to be an avatar for the hunt, but HE is going to be the extinction. JoHn denies this vehemently and starts to avoid Sasha.
As the season five opens JoHn realizes Sasha was right, he is the extinction. So he heroically has avatars of all of the entities come together to kill him in order to prevent that from happening, (the guy from the squirm episode is the new main corruption avatar after Prentiss died). He is killed, but then resurrected but not as an avatar of the extinction, no, the extinction's been killed from him so he's fine now. However, on the closing shot to the season five it zooms in to Georgie's stomach, implying that the kid she's carrying is going to be the extinction because they were conceived when JoHn was going to be the extinction, meaning that it will live on in the kid.
tl;dr: JoHn is a hunt avatar but is also supposed to be the extinction; Martin is now a flesh avatar with corruption ties; Tim becomes a stranger avatar; Melanie becomes a desolation avatar; Daisy becomes a lonely avatar; Basira becomes an eye avatar; Georgie is a buried avatar; and Sasha didn't die and became a web avatar; also JoHn and Georgie's unborn kid is the extinction!
Holy shit this was awful to write and I'm sorry you have to look at this. This just started with me thinking "Straight!JoHn wouldn't be an avatar of the Eye, he'd be an avatar of the Hunt" and then it spiraled from there. Sorry for how long and painful it is.

Note
Riverdale as a show is just so exhausting and this season in particular just has not been a good ride. Its been so chopped up with plots and the characters and just knowing they'll throw B*rchie back together in the finale (yes it's happening like you said/and I only know because inside intel/otherwise I would never have seen it coming) is like whiplash! Moving Varchie forward like they did in 517 just to backpedal an episode later makes me fume and all this to make way for a god awful ship that they didn't even bother to give any scenes to between 508 and 519. If you're going down that road again at least make it make sense in the story supposedly leading there, give the audience something to go on. We really could of had it all by the end of this season but instead we'll be left with a sour taste in our mouth...really such a clusterfuck of season!
If you are just a casual viewer you're gonna be so blindsided going into the finale because there has been no hint whatsoever that b*rchie was coming back and when they finally reunited Varchie it was going to last all but a full episode or 2. The storytelling is just something else on Riverdale and I really would like to know how their minds work but I know this isn't it.
I waited until the weekend was over -- aka the break we took -- to answer this ask. Hope you don't mind, anon.
And you know what? I'm glad we did.
Because I woke up today feeling particularly positive about this whole mess. It's still infuriating and exhauting. But whatever they're doing, no matter what the circumstances are, it's not going to last.
I'll still have a lot to say regarding just how rushed and shitty the entire situation is, but this is actually in our favor.
They took the time with Varchie and even Bughead, to give them actual screentime. To give them plots to share, flashbacks... and yes, this season was surely going to end differently.
But the five episodes event has a lot to do with it.
And I refuse, right now at least, to believe they are going to waste their 100th episode on some plot they couldn't bother to develop all season long.
Hell, during the entirety of the show.
Maybe they will though, but frankly the messiness of it all just makes it that much better for us in the long run.
With that I say, fuck them still. But we've got this.
