I wish the shelter wrote notes to the people who dumped dogs that are euthanized & let them know the dog's fate because of their reckless irresponsibility. Sadly those people probably wouldn't care or else they wouldn't have dumped you in the 1st place. I reposted you a few weeks ago & remember thinking you would have no problem being adopted because you were a purebred border collie, & a non-bully breed. Perhaps that is what all of the other networkers thought too. Maybe that's why you only had 15 measly shares. Maybe that's why rescues passed you by in search of the most "at risk" dogs. The sad truth is that EVERY dog at a kill shelter is at risk. I am so sorry humanity failed you and that you are the product of a greedy breeder, probably adopted as a puppy but thrown away once you grew up to be a beautiful dog, dumped at the shelter not once but twice & I'm sorry the rescue community couldn't save you. I hope you knew the touch of a loving human hand while you were so callously taken from this earth by lethal injection. At least I know #MarthaSanchez gave you love. She described you as "attentive and affectionate" and that you took treats gently out of her hand and licked her fingers. I wonder if that's the only loving touch you ever knew. MDad is suggesting that maybe come evening the vote will have come closer to 50/50 with a "gentle nudge toward No" instead of an outright curbstomp.

A gentle nudge gives us better hope of a treaty with Balanda Australia instead of an outright "get fucked and stay kneeling."

Staying up to 1am to watch the news and the see the Voice Referendum predictions come in while on the horn with my brother an ocean away is definitely an experience. It's a weird sense of dread at all the No predictions, and a weird sense of calm.
