ghosts of the past
this is my piece for the mcyt g/t exchange! @leyfaire (tumblr wont let me tag you for some reason :'D,,)
i ended up writing a bit for this as well so that (plus some other drawings) are all under the cut! i hope you enjoy! đ
tw: canon typical swearing, very brief mention of a past panic attack
He thinks he's haunted.
I can work with that.
Holding back laughter as he continued to listen in on the conversation, Tommy let his mind wander, settling in against the stack of books and papers.
He had gotten pretty lucky with this human. Forgetful, a little messy, very fun to fuck with. Recently he had taken to setting random items close to the edge of shelves and letting the human's footsteps do the work.
Sometimes it didn't even require the human to interfere. The last one he had set up seemed to have fallen down on its own. A smirk spread across his face as he thought about that particularly ugly flowerpot being shattered.
Tommy never touched anything too precious of Ranboo's. Not after that one time when he had hidden the human's journal and found him panicked and crying on the floor a couple hours later. Tommy had shakily shoved it out from under the couch, sending some other item to the floor in order to get Ranboo's attention.
The relief apparent on Ranboo's face when he found the journal was enough for Tommy to vow he would never mess with it again.
Eyebrows furrowing he picked at the newly darned sleeve of his sweater, contemplating his "pranks". He had started them as an attempt to get the human to move out, to leave him alone in the house again.
Summer was meant to be quiet- autumn and winter were reserved for the soft man who feeds the crows and the intimidating pink haired man who likes to read.
Spring was for the curly haired singer with the guitar and sometimes if Tommy's lucky, the lady who likes baking. Spring is also when his brother comes to visit, helping him darn his clothes and fixing up routes around the house.
Summer was his time. Just him and the fading memories of a human boy with a toothy smile missing a few teeth, framed by dark hair. Bangs barely covering eyes full of wonder, looking back at Tommy, who's equally curious gaze stared right back.
He's having fun messing with Ranboo now though. Perhaps the most fun since he's had since the boy left.
Tommy sighs, tuning back into the conversation again, a melancholy feeling settling in his chest as Ranboob (ha!) and⌠T⌠Tubbo? finish up their conversation. The name rests on his tongue for a moment, and he rolls its syllables under his breath. It seems⌠familiar somehow. Tommy shrugs. It's not like he would ever meet them anyway.
"So you're coming over tomorrow then?"
Ah, shit.
"Tubbo!"
He is shaken out of his sleepy reverie by the frantic voice of Ranboo, one hand pressed white-knuckled into the bedsheets as the other shook Tubbo awake. Half remembered dreams of bright summer mornings and mischief lingering still as he slowly comes to.
"Mwuh-?"
"I-I heard something in the kitchen- I think-" The boy kneeling beside him looks back over his shoulder, eyes darting around the darkened room as he lowers his voice to a whisper.
"-I think it's the ghost." With a sigh, Tubbo forces himself out of bed, pushing Ranboos face away with a grunt as he drags his other hand over his own face.
It was barely a week into his stay and he too had witnessed firsthand the effects of the "ghost".
At first it was the weird scratching noises that echoed through the vents of the old house. Then came the whispering at night, interspersed by soft, mournful cries. Static interference when they went to watch TV or play games online. These occurrences were easy enough to brush off as mice or raccoons messing with things, but when the writing in stolen spaghetti sauce started, it was a little harder to deny something was going on.
So, like the good friend he is, Tubbo motions for Ranboo to get behind him as makes his way towards the kitchen. The summers he spent in this house pay off as he tiptoes across the floorboards, stepping carefully as to avoid the creakier ones and directing Ranboo to do the same.
Moonlight streaks through the kitchen window, illuminating the dining table that sits to the side of the room. A small, dark shadow shifts on the tabletop, something glinting silver as it messes with some of the papers spread across the surface.
Ranboo tenses beside him, glancing back and forth between the shadow and Tubbo, wringing his hands as he slips back behind the wall.
The creature (ghost?) hadn't noticed them just yet, so Tubbo hoped to take it by surprise and maybe trap it. Glancing around the kitchen he spots an empty glass that had gone unused earlier that day, grabbing it before quickly bringing it down over the shadowy creature.
"I've got it Ranboo!"
With that, Tubbo lifts his hand away from the glass slowly, careful not to jostle the tiny creature underneath.
As his eyes adjust further to the pale moonlight, he is reminded of a time long ago that had slipped into his dreams that night and every night prior. For so long he had brushed those memories aside, simply pinning it as another story his wild imagination had fostered while on vacation. Because now, with what looks to be a small person trapped under a glass, he finds those memories to be a lot more plausible.
-----
He was SCREWED. Swearing to himself under his breath, Tommy slams his shoulder against the side of the glass again, steadfastly ignoring the human still hovering over him.
"You don't look like a ghost."
"I'll make you into a ghost if you don't let me OUT." He snarls, throwing himself at the glass once more.
"I'll let you out if you agree not to run."
"Don't tell me what to do bitch!"
"I can wait here all night. I just want to know why you've been harassing my friend." The human stares down at him, arms crossed.
Tommy huffs, swallowing thickly as the reality of the situation begins to sink in. He's trapped.
"Fine." He sits down slowly, never taking his eyes off of the human as he crosses his legs and lets his hand rest on his pin. It's not much but it will do the job and he can try make a getaway if the human tries anything.
The human's hand returns to remove the glass and as it comes closer Tommy does NOT flinch. He is a BIG MAN and he is not scared at all. The human however, notices the small movement, and pauses, hand hovering over the glass for a moment.
"You gonna let me out or what?!"
Beyond the glass Tommy sees the human frown, and he grins. The glass is removed from above him and so is any barrier between him and the human. He takes in a shaky breath, running his hand over his sash, the cool beads and soft thread one of the few constants in his life.Â
The human opens his mouth as if to say something, but catches sight of the sash and freezes instead, blinking owlishly as he looks over the green braid for a moment.
"You're real."
Something about the soft disbelief that in the human's voice gives Tommy a burst of bravery, and he stands up and addresses the human towering over him with a scowl.
"Of course I'm real, dickhead! What, we've been talking for the last few minutes-"
"I- Tommy- don't you remember me?"
"Wh-wh-huhh?" He stops his ranting, shocked into stunned confusion by the human calling his name. He squints up the human above him, gears turning in this brain as he scrambles for an explanation.
He grips the worn thread of his sash, the comforting texture grounding him while he wracks his brain, it's familiar feel bringing him the comfort of summers long gone-
Wait... surely not.
The human, seemingly crestfallen at the lack of recognition perks up suddenly, kneeling at the table and pulling down his sleeve to reveal a bracelet. The plastic beads strung along the red braid read:
"F R E I N D S"
Something clicks into place and memories of sweet summers come flooding back- picking strawberries with his human friend, playing hide and seek, the mess with the paint- his name.
"OHHHHH!!! TUBBO!!"
[end]

prompt: a human and borrower who were childhood friends but were forced to separate due to some circumstance, reunite years later
i had a great time putting this together!! i came up with the idea of borrower!tommy "haunting" ranboo shortly after i got your prompts and i realised i could merge the two concepts ;D
and now i never want to even think about a hawaiian shirt again /lh
-----
extra info i couldnt fit in this, but were in my thoughts as i was writing/drawing:
the house belongs to phil and techno! (tubbo also mentions them in the call)
ranboo is kind of meant to act as a housekeeper for the summer, and it gives him a place to stay also!
phil used to bring tubbo, wilbur and techno to the house when they were younger
tommy and tubbo first met when they were 7! they spent 3 summers together and became REALLY close during then.
tubbo had to switch schools, and it became too hard to travel back to the house for summer holidays
tommys brother is eret! the two of them moved away from the house after tubbo left, but tommy moved back around 3 years prior to this
eret also knows wilbur and niki :] tommy doesnt know that though dgdjcbdnbc

Ends and Starts (MCYT G/T Exchange!)
Hello there sizeshiftingdeath! I received your prompts for the gift exchange, and while I tried to start pretty close to your prompt, my ideas kind of spiraled out of control, I hope you don't mind ^^' I can make something else with another prompt if it doesn't fit what you were hoping for, though! There's also a little bit of extra information down the bottom with some stuff I thought of about the au I accidentally made.
Prompt given:Â âA human caught in the rain finds a giant in the forestâ
<please put a read-more here!>
The world is pockmarked with evidence of the tragedies of the past. Of warped land that paints the horrors that befell things that came before. The living reminders of them continue to live on in perpetuity, as immortal creatures that were wreathed in the horrors that life on Earth had endured in the past.Â
Bask in their horrible might.
There is the Death from Burning and Fire and Falling from the Sky and Cold Choking Death, the End of the Cretaceous. A massive beast, the bloody end of an era of enormous fauna. A destruction made all the more powerful by how quickly it was achieved. It stalks the land and sea and, where it steps, the plants die of lack of sunlight and the ground turns to tar.
There is the Death from Ever Hunting and Chasing and Too Warm Too Bright - Tech, the man-shaped leviathan, death in the shape of something familiar to mankind, the Killer of the Pleistocene. The death of great megafauna in an icy world from the encroaching warmth of a new era, the sharp point of a spear. It hunts the world with spears and arrows of fire and, in the depths of its nest, all water has turned to vapor and the earth itself has become a wasteland.Â
There is the Death of Falling Frozen Seas, of a primordial sea strangled to death under a glacier lock, Her Lady of the primaeval oceans, the Death of the Ordovician. The tail-end of an explosion of life, stretched too far by their own hubris. And yet, despite being a beast with a hundred trilobite and eurypterid faces, one that has a herald in the form of a human by Her side, for reasons that have yet to become known. Maybe, just like every other esoteric thing that such beasts may do, it shall remain a mystery forever.
Look and see. A new immortal is emerging from its eggshell of tragedy. The unstoppable bomb and burning oilfield. The death through hubris and a slow choking unraveling of your very being. The death of man from crackling radiation and tainted iridescent-film water and ash filled smoke. The destruction of the Anthropocene.
Except. This is a creature who was born prematurely. Because man is not dead nor feeling its own final throes. It was not born wreathed in the screams of the damned, only the fears held in the hearts of the still-living. It is naĂŻve and curious and did not yet have the star of a hundred million speciesâ souls to power it yet. It was stunted.
And that is why the first human the newest apocalypse met was so important.
 âŚ
The forests are deep and dark. Quiet yet shivering with life. Constantly moving and yet trapped in some space between time. Most of all, they expected nothing more from you than for your own two legs to be able to travel. Ranboo liked that.Â
It certainly was nicer than what he had to deal with outside of the forest at least. Here he could continue walking and listening and breathing for as long as he still could move forward. This forest in particular was a favorite, with a constant twilight quality to it that played into its timelessness.Â
He stumbled over a log, slipping slightly on the slick moss, and focused as strongly as he could on his surroundings. It was hard when he could so quickly slip into his thoughts. He needed to enjoy his surroundings. He needed to stay in the present and not phase out like fog.
Ironically, it was his attempts to ground himself that prevented him from noticing what was slowly growing more wrong in the forest around him. The scent of ash in the air. The lack of birdsong or rustle of leaves. The trees, growing darker and more burnt-looking, and the dead logs that were bristling with fungi.
But when he stepped out into a clearing with an enormous rock embedded into the middle of it, Ranboo really couldnât help but realize all of the discrepancies. The illusion of an eternal twilight had been broken with the red light that streamed down. The ground was distressingly clear of ground cover, instead dusted with ash.Â
Forest fire? He hadnât heard of any in the area but⌠What else would it be?
Ranboo looked up at the sun, which had meandered towards the west since he had entered the forest. There were dark clouds gathering above him in worrying amounts, and the air was a little hard to see through with the particles suspended in it. He frowned at it.Â
Something was wrong here, he could sense it in a deeply animalistic kind of way. As if there was something screaming in his hindbrain to run.
He didnât run. This was the forest that he has walked a hundred times before, when did this happen? Why had this happened? He needed to find out.
Overhead, thunder rumbled. A droplet of curiously dark water fell on his face.
Ranboo stepped towards the other side of the forest clearing that should not have been there.
And that's when a living embodiment of a mass extinction came shambling out of the ashen trees.
Ranboo didnât know which detail he noticed first about this rogue apocalypse beast. Was it the limp brown hair that was almost black with iridescent oil slick? Was it the enormous horns that curled jutting from its face and looked more like scrap metal than keratin? Was it the uranium-glass green stripes that criss-crossed like cracks in ceramic along itâs skin?Â
Or was it the fact that this one was shaped like a man?Â
The apocalypse beasts always most resembled the myriad that had died in their creation. The death of the Ice Age looks vaguely like a man, if squinted at, mostly because so many cousins to humanity had died in its formation. It was more like an enormous boar-beast on two legs that had the arms of a man, if anything. This one did not look remotely like the death of the Ice Age.Â
Ranboo took a flying leap from horror and realization to hysteria. This is the death of humans. The death by nuclear bombs and smoke and oil. The fabled next apocalypse beast, the bringer of the end of the world, was already here.
For a moment of absolute blinding terror he wondered if this meant that all other humans on Earth were dead now. That today was the day the entirety of humanity died, leaving just him wandering the forest endlessly. That nuclear armageddon occurred and he was out there worried about keeping himself grounded enough to admire the birds.
The beast - and he was never in doubt that this was an apocalypse beast, even if he had never seen any of the others in person before something shook like a leaf in his soul simply from being near it - loomed over him. It watched him like a bug under a glass with nuclear hazard yellow-and-black eyes, and the spell of frozen muscles snapped in Ranboo. He bolted towards the boulder in the middle of the clearing and pushed his way into a space between it and a smaller boulder at its base, scrambling to find a smaller crack to squeeze himself into to just get himself out of reach of the beast, of the black water, of everything.
He could hear a rasping, clicking-crackling sound. (A Geiger Counter.) He could see glowing green-striped fingers reach under the edges of the rock he had wedged himself under. Could see, in the sickly chartreuse light they cast, fingernails larger than his head catch the rock. Felt the weight of the boulder lift from his back.Â
Ranboo was left crouching and shaking, so scared he couldn't breathe (or maybe it was the ash or the slimy water that couldnât be rain), as the apocalypse beast crouched down further. It crackled and clicked with a mouth that seemed all too human to be able to make those noises, and then it. Crooned? With a voice that was more like a siren shriek turned down, weirdly echoey as if speaking from far away, it clicked and whined and Ranboo was so confused he didnât even see the hand reach down and pick him up by the back of his shirt.
He screamed and flailed, imagination jumping into overdrive about what horrifying things the beast could do, and just as quickly, he was dropped with a whoomph to the ground and the death of Mankind jerked back. Ranboo gasped and sputtered as half of face got thoroughly soaked with ash-water mud, and hoisted himself up again to get away from the apocalypse beast.
Who was crouching over him, luminous trefoil eyes barely a foot away from his own, still crooning that awful siren tone. From this close Ranboo could faintly see radiation burns pockmarking its skin, and a horrible scar of curled and ridged skin along its face, as if it was victim to a close-range bomb explosion.Â
It tilted its head, leaning a tiny bit closer, and Ranboo threw his arms up to cover his face. God, it itched where the ash water had splashed on him. Why was it itching so much?
The death of Mankind stopped again, looking up into the sky and then down at Ranboo again. It seemed to come to a conclusion, because it then slowly - oh so slowly, why was it being careful? - cupped its hands out in front of it and held them out to him.
It⌠Wanted him to climb on. Into the grasp of a literal specter of death specifically designed with the destruction of his own species in mind.
Ranboo, in a moment of blind panic and stupidity, climbed on. It looked polite, he reasoned. He was already going to die just from being close to this thing.Â
It continued to⌠yes, it definitely was cooing now, in that horrifying voice, and for a moment Ranboo wondered if maybe he misinterpreted. Maybe this thing wasnât meant to represent the nuclear apocalypse.
His eye had started to itch where the water touched it. He rocked himself in the grasp of this giant, feeling footholds in the craggy radiation-worn skin, and felt the side of his face.Â
The moment e touched it, a white-hot flash of horrible burning pain hit him like a truck, knocking him into a stupor of yelling. It was as if his face was burning, was twisting and gnarling just as much as the apocalypse beastâs horns did. Under his hand, stiff with pain and unable to move away, he could feel skin slough off, could feel the cells themselves die off in droves, in response to whatever radiation or toxin was in the ash-water.Â
He couldnât even register the sensation of fingers larger than his torso curling around him and holding him steady, of him being pressed up against a vast chest that beat unsteadily like a stuck clock, of the vast thumps of footfalls against a diseased forest floor.
All he could feel is pain, burning coiling tunneling pain that tried to tear out his face, his hands, his neck, burning him bright and radiant like a star.Â
 âŚ
The creature was screaming in its hands. It hadnât stopped screaming for a long time.Â
It was small and writhing and melting. Creatures usually didnât like melting.Â
The death of Humanity wasnât sure how to make it stop. It had dashed out of the black-rain (that seemed to make the melting worse, maybe itâll stop once itâs out of the rain?) to its home cave, hoping that perhaps it could figure something out in the comfort of its own home.Â
The creatureâs screams had died down, though whether it was from its pain being alleviated or their voice giving out, the death of Humanity couldnât tell. All it could tell was that it wasnât getting up, wasnât looking at it with those wide curious scared-but-interested eyes.Â
Most animals ran from the death of Humanity. Land-creatures would yell in fear and flee, birds would rise up into the sky in huge swarms only to be struck down by the black-rain. Even insects would twitch and die when they got near, which led so many to flee this part of the forest entirely. It was a lonely existence. But this human hadnât run like the other animals had. It had hid, yes, but it had viewed the death of Humanity in all of its glory and it almost, almost, was ok with it being picked up.Â
And then something had happened and now the human was dying just like all of the other animals and the Nuclear Apocalypse didnât know what to do.
Be well. Be alright. Be just like you were before, it thought, delicately laying the twitching human on the ground out of reach of the dripping black-water puddles, in a nest of dried grasses and leaves that had swept into the cave over the years. It prodded the human with a finger, whining softly when all it did was spasm like a dying insect. It wasnât dying, right? It was just hurt? It couldnât be hurt, the death of Humanity wouldnât allow it. Not when it was so curious and didnât flee like the others. Not when the death of Humanity had a chance to learn from it. Even now, writhing in its palm, it could feel the frantic beating of life and warmth, things it had so rarely seen before.
You will be well. You must be well. I will make you well.
 ...
When he came to, it was to complete darkness.
Well, no. Not totally. There was a faint glimmer of far away light somewhere to his left. A shuffling shadow, a faint sickly green glow.
His right was totally dark though, and he couldnât quite open his eye. He almost brought his hand up to touch it before violently flinching as he remembered what had landed him here in the first place. Would it start burning and melting horribly like it did before? That he was even awake to wonder that is a miracle in of itself... Or the start of the second round of his torture.
Horrible curiosity pushed him to touch, as lightly as possible, the skin on his right cheek. It⌠He couldnât feel it. Or rather, he could feel the sandpaper surface of extremely rough skin, but he couldn't feel the pressure, the burning bright pain. The entire area was dead to the touch.
Ranboo threw himself as upright as he could make himself, which ended up only being a half kneel before falling back over into a sit. His breath hitched and he felt his face more firmly, the rough scratchy surface of skin that splattered like paint over the right side of his face, over his eye, down his neck and onto his arm. The muted tingling where it met smoother skin along his shoulder and the bridge of his nose. In an act of desperation he even poked at his eyelid, trying to pry it open to see if he could ever see from that eye again.Â
His hand passed in front of his working eye in that moment, and at this point his focus had sharpened enough to make out vague colors in the dim light. His hand⌠It was a black far darker than any human could naturally produce, with a grey-green cast that made him look sickly.Â
I feel sickly, he reasoned to himself. What is going on? He waved his hand a little frantically, as if the new midnight shade was something that was just stuck to his skin. Desperately he held up his other (totally numb to the touch) hand, hoping it hadnât changed too.
Well, good news - it wasnât midnight black.
Bad news - it was a shade so pale that it looked totally devoid of blood. And the raspy surface he could feel didnât look any prettier to the eye. It didnât have that same grey-green tint to it though, which was nice, because it wouldâve shown up really well on this pure white canvas.
Why was he even thinking about looks right now? He was in the den of an Apocalypse Beast Ranboo get your head together! This was absolutely not the right time to space out - he needed to stay in the moment!
His hands were shaking uncontrollably as he tried to get himself upright. He had only just gotten himself steady when he felt the rattle of large footsteps shake through the ground. Before Ranboo could even think to run though, the shadows out of the corner of his eyes resolved into the beast, which made its way all too quickly towards him.Â
He couldnât run if he wanted to. And besides, the damage done to him would probably kill him. He was on borrowed time as is. What did he have left to do but to see what the beast did?
It slowed as it came closer, reaching out a vast clawed hand towards him. Despite his resignation towards his fate, Ranboo flinched back as it came way too close way too fast. A movement that the beast obviously didn't notice or interpret or care about, because he was scooped up into its palm without a moment's hesitation.Â
âNo!â He yelled, wriggling and pushing away from the cage of fingers around him. The beast paused in bringing him up to its face, and if Ranboo was being generous he could call the look on its face a frown.Â
In less than a blink the face of the beast was so close way too close and he almost punched it (for all the help that would do) out of reflex. It blinked at him with those lucent yellow-black eyes, laser sharp in their focus upon him. He felt for all the world like an ant being peered at through a magnifying glass. Maybe heâll be fried like one too.Â
âWhat do you want with me?â He asked, voice cracking in fear. âWhat is it you want?âÂ
It didnât answer in that siren tone again, but instead shifted its weight to the side and turned its palms so that Ranboo was standing squarely in one of them. The other was drawn up and one sharp-clawed finger was pointed at Ranboo. Or, well. The side of Ranbooâs face that he couldnât see from just yet.Â
He trembled with the anticipation of the jagged nail at the end of the beastâs outstretched finger spearing forward. But all it did was touch, very gently, under the damaged eye. The beast frowned even more.Â
Then it jabbed at him, hard enough to bruise but not much else, directly into Ranbooâs damaged eye. He yelped and jumped away, tumbling off his feet in the cup of the beastâs fingers and slapped a numb hand over numb face. Even if he couldnât feel the area, it still surprised him enough to believe for a moment he could sense it again. Except⌠was that still his imagination? The eye under his pale skin was starting to itch and water, the first sensation he felt from it since he had woken up, and with a gasp he was able to open his eye.Â
Fuzz. Thatâs all he could see from that eye. The beast leaned forward and poked at his face again, softer this time, and when he opened his eye again the world had snapped into focus, tinged with red around the edges. He blinked a few times, and felt a trail of something wet leak from that eye onto his cheek.
What had happened? âYou⌠You healed me?â He asked up at it. It was still frowning even as he had two working eyes again, and muttered softly in a voice that sounded like something crumbling into splinters. Then it poked him for a third time, this time on the shoulder, and Ranboo held back a yell of pain as the area lit up in a blaze of sensation that felt like liquid fire. As he watched, the black skin around the edges of the wound cracked and veins of bright green glowed beneath.
Just⌠Like⌠The beastâŚ
Oh no.
The pain of his nerves coming back to life was nothing when compared to the cold horror that had bubbled into his stomach. There was a single case of a human managing to gain immortality as a result of an apocalypse beast. One of the first beasts, Her Lady of the Primordial Sea, the beast of the Ordivician extinction, had taken pity upon an ancient human who was trapped in the glacial ices that herald her path across the Earth, and had gifted it with immortality and a pair of wings that made him as beastly as the Lady he served.
Nobody knew exactly why the Angel of the Deaths had been spared, and why not a single human had ever had that happen before or since. All that was really known about him was his violence, and that he had an uncanny ability to be where an apocalypse beast would be travelling to next. He was just as inhuman and alien as the beasts themselves, if in a smaller form.
It had only ever happened once. Until now, obviously.
Ranboo stared at his white hand, prickling with waking nerves under the surface and twisting with green strands that trailed under his skin like angry snakes, and knew that he was a monster now. Somehow, it was freeing. Like he finally got an answer to a question he had asked over and over. Why him, why now, why is he still alive, why is he not afraid enoughâŚ
He stared back up at the apocalypse beast and it blinked down at him. It was no longer frowning, only looking thoughtfully now. âYouâre not going to hurt me.â It wasnât a question.
It reached a hand back up, maybe to poke him again, but this time rubbed his hair very lightly. He did not flinch this time, steeling up his willpower to allow this touch (It wonât hurt him. He needs to keep repeating it until it is true. It wonât hurt him. He was its now it wouldnât hurt him).
It made that soft crooning noise again, like it had before lifting the rock he had been hiding under, and despite it being underlaid with sounds specifically designed to inspire fear in humans, he could find himself getting used to it. (Would have to. Heâs an abomination now after all. The second angel.)
âYouâre not so bad, are youâŚâ He slowly pushed himself to his feet, flexing his newly sensated hand carefully. âI still donât know what you are or why you are here now butâŚâ
The beast tipped its head curiously and warbled exactly the same words back at Ranboo. He froze, because it was so much like his own voice except under deep layers of static, before shaking his head. Best get introductions out of the way - this creature was obviously smart. It was the death of Humanity after all.
He pointed to his chest. âRanboo.â He gave it a few pokes for emphasis, and the beast poked him too before mimicking his name. He wasnât entirely sure it actually got what that meant but, well. Baby steps.Â
Then he pointed at it. It blinked a few times (and Ranboo really couldnât help but anthropomorphize its reactions - this thing was just too uncannily human to not) and chirped out another âRanboo.â He gestured more firmly, pointing at the beast.Â
It continued to look with (probably) bafflement for a few moments, before letting loose a cacophony of sounds that sent Ranbooâs hands slapping over his ears. It was all of the sounds of falling trees, of squawking birds, of the blazing sun and frigid cold and most of all the explosive fire and cold falling ash-water and death from sickness. It was everything and more that wrapped up the death of Humanity in a nutshell.Â
Ranboo blinked. That might take a while to learn how to pronounce.
He decided to call it Tubbo for short.Â
<End> There we have it! I hope that you enjoyed this - I hope it didn't betray too much how much stuff like this interests me and that this was potentially also 3000 words of me nerding out about mass extinctions.
Anyways, here's some details I had added but had no way of explaining naturally within the story that i was a little proud of ^^'
The Anthropocene apocalypse beast is also called the unstoppable bomb and burning oilfield. Shortened to TUBBO. Ha.
Thereâs 7, now 8 apocalypse beasts (Great Oxidation Event, Ordovician, Devonian, Permian, Triassic, Cretaceous, Pleistocene, and now Anthropocene). I originally intended there to just be 5 (for the big five mass extinctions) and then a 6th Anthropocene apocalypse beast, but then I thought I really should add in the great oxidation event that almost caused extinction of all non-oxygen breathing creatures on a very early earth, and the death of most megafauna in the Pleistocene era.Â
Society is way different with these living eldritch abominations just shambling across the globe, causing a trail of destruction behind them. A lot less large cities, for one.
The Ordovician apocalypse beast is Kristin, yes. Sheâs uplifted Phil into something similar to what Ranboo is now. I kinda want to think more about her and her story with Phil.
The Pleistocene apocalypse beast is Techno. Idk why I chose to do that but it seemed to fit. Especially since the leading theory on Pleistocene megafauna death is humans hunting them, which I think fits Techno pretty well
The rain is black rain - rain full of radioactive fallout. Bad Stuff, definitely not what you should seek out if you want to keep your body in working order.
I kept referring to sirens in Tubboâs speech. Just imagine every emergency warning broadcast sound except even more terrifyingÂ
So Ranbooâs skin is majorly fucked up. For one, heâs suffered major radiation damage to the side that is now white (healed over brand new skin). The black half is much more interesting though. Did you know there are types of fungi that can feed off of nuclear radiation? They protect themselves from the effects by secreting a LOAD of melanin, making them extremely dark. Anything that wasnât newly healed on Ranboo had now become akin to those fungi now. Feeding rather than harmed by the nuclear radiation Tubbo naturally puts off. Perfect for a newborn Angel of the deaths.

Thank you so much for this story submission!! I really love this idea and how well you wrote it! this is so amazing! â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤

For MCYT g/t Exchange
For @random-tinies
In the world of magic and hybrids, borrowers are more often seen as pets but are mostly left to their devices. Newly given rights, borrowers and minnies are living in the walls of giants and humans mostly unnoticed.
Most humanoids look the other way when they see signs of the tiny folk, others on the other hand...still try to trap them.
The biggest borrower hotspot is The SMP Apartment building, their Community leaders are called Technoblade and Philza.
They scout out any complex that wouldn't hesitate to keep them as pets.
One particular complex is an example of a giant who keeps smols as pets.
Wilbur Soot is a Phantom hybrid musician at night and a stay at home father by day, he had always been interested in borrowers and was a bit downcasted when they were given human rights. He didnât mind it, but he wanted to give his son the best pet experience. One that he had, and borrowers were, after all, the best pets.
It seemed his wish was coming into reality soon.
Far into the kitchen was a piglin hybrid borrower, collecting scraps of paper and broken pencil leads. So preoccupied with his task, he didn't notice the soft giant footsteps. A fatal error.
A glass barrier crashed down in front of him, a jar, his new prison.
Techno noticed a familiar and terrifying grin, âWell hello! Youâre a borrower and a first pet for my son!â
âNo! Borrowers have rights now! You just canât-â
âDoes anyone really follow that law? Whoâs upholding it?â The smaller hybrid looked away, missing the slight guilty frown.
Wilbur hadnât meant to say it like that, but this would be good for Fundy and the little guy would thank him later. For now though, he should sit this little guy on the table and find a bow...then his little champion.
Techno threw himself at the glass at a bruising pace, finally dropping after five or six hits. His breath became shaky, not noticing a shadow over his glass prison.
âHoly- did dad do this?â It was Fundy, who stared in horror at the borrower.
Techno backed into the glass wall behind him as the hybrid got a closer look, "I can let you go if you want, any specific place you wanna go?"
Techno knew that the younger hybrid was more trustworthy than his father, but the deep distrust of the larger race was instilled in him since birth.
"The kitchen." Though it would have been quicker to be brought to the kid's room, he doesn't want them to know the tunnels that lead them to the tiny community.
Fundy slowly grabbed the jar, ignoring the wince Techno gave at the sight of claws, and quickly ran into the kitchen, opening it and laying it on its side the the smaller to walk out.
"Tell Niki not to come by for a bit, don't want her getting hurt." Technoblade nodded to the kid in acknowledgement and slipped between the stove and counter.
Once safe within the darkness of the walls, the Piglin Hybrid raced away to the community room.
Once there Techno called a meeting to discuss Wilbur's...ideas.
It was agreed that his complex would be avoided until further notice.
Technoblade left with his best friend, who comforted him with just his presence.
They sat in silence... until the gremlins joined and then it turned to comfortable violence.
========
Back with Wilbur, he blindly wrecks his living room in search of the tiny hybrid.
He knew that they were crafty, but he never encountered such a being that'll do this!
Hell, now he's intrigued to find out if the little hybrid could get out of other traps.
"Dad!" Startled, Wilbur's head collided with the table and he immediately brightened at the sight of his son.
"Fundy! My widdle man! I had a gift for you, but it seems to have disappeared.
"Dad, I know about the borrower. You know it was wrong, right? I have borrower friends that I see as equals now I have to warn them away because you're hunting them? Dad please, just talk to me instead of whatever this is." Fundy finished just as he started and Wilbur found himself nodding in agreement.
His son is already responsible, and friends with borrowers so maybe he can apologize for his words and his actions.

Camping Trip
-----
Ranboo took a deep breath. The wind had just a hint of chill to it, but the sun danced on his skin, keeping him from getting cold. Ranboo hadnât been camping since he was a kid, and heâd never gone on his own before.Â
Well. He wasnât quite on his own.Â
âCan we come out yet?â came a muffled voice.Â
Ranboo smiled, pulling back his pocket. Nestled comfortably inside were his two best friends, looking like they might die of boredom. As far as he knew, fairies were pretty much immortal. But they were far more susceptible to things like boredom. Tommy and Tubbo were, at least.Â
âI think weâre past the tree line now,â Ranboo answered, turning to peer the way heâd come. There was nobody in sight; it was probably safe for the fairies to fly around.Â
Tommy was already leaping for the lip of his pocket. Ranboo slowed a little, so his walking didnât unbalance his friend. The feathered fairy pulled himself up and out, launching into the air with a shout of excitement.Â
Tubbo pulled himself halfway out of his pocket, then stopped, leaning halfway out. The shorter fairyâs arms stuck out slightly, and Ranboo tried to hide his smile.Â
âYou donât want to stretch your wings?â the human asked.Â
âNah,â Tubbo said with a yawn. âIâll wait until we get a bit closer. You can carry me until then.âÂ
âWow, Iâm starting to think you only keep me around as transportation.âÂ
âGot to make use of your long legs,â Tubbo teased.Â
A dull thud made Ranboo jump. He glanced up to see Tommy hanging from a tree branch, looking slightly dazed.Â
âAre you ok?â He asked between laughter.Â
âNo thanks to you,â Tommy replied once he recovered.Â
The fairy shook himself, his feathers poofing up. He was in the air a second later, laughing and diving through the air like he didnât just slam into a tree.Â
âWatch where youâre going, dumbass!â Tubbo called.Â
âI think that might be a lost cause,â Ranboo tried his best to track Tommyâs flight through the air, but he was too quick to follow.Â
âI know what Iâm doing, bitch,â Tommy said. He dived down in front of Ranboo, flashing his middle finger.Â
Thud.Â
âItâs going to be a long day,â Tubbo said with a sigh.Â
***
Tommy tired himself out long before they reached the campsite. He settled onto Ranboo's shoulder after a few minutes, his feathers tickling the human's neck.Â
Tubbo buzzed lazily around his head while he walked, occasionally landing on his head for a break. His insect-like wings got tired more often than Tommy's bird-like ones, Ranboo knew.Â
As they walked, Tommy tried to drag Ranboo into a game of I-spy, something he'd taught the fairies during their first road trip together. Half of Ranboo's attention was on the game, while the rest of his focus went towards spotting the small trail that led to their campsite.Â
After a few more minutes of walking, he saw a familiar path, barely visible through the trees.Â
"I spy the path to our campsite," he interrupted his small friend.Â
Both of the fairies perked up at this, Tubbo coming to land on his other shoulder.Â
"Finally," Tommy groaned, "we've been walking forever."Â
"We?" quipped Ranboo.Â
His friends snickered and he rolled his eyes, turning to follow the trail.Â
Ranboo was hit with a rush of nostalgia as he ducked under a tree into the little clearing that they would be using as a campsite.Â
"It looks just how I remember it," he muttered.Â
Tommy and Tubbo had apparently gotten bored of his shoulders, taking off in tandem. They darted around the area, exploring every nook and cranny. He watched them go with a smile, shrugging off the bag that held their camping supplies.Â
"It's a little small," Tubbo said, sounding unimpressed.Â
"What the fuck, Tubs?" Tommy replied, instantly offended. "This place is cozy! It has atmosphere, it has aesthetic."Â
"There's more room in the house," the shorter fairy said.Â
"The whole point of camping is that we're not indoors," Ranboo said, amused by their argument. "Who cares if the house has more room?"Â
"I do," Tubbo muttered, barely loud enough for Ranboo to hear. There was a smile on his face, though, so Ranboo knew he wasn't too annoyed with the campsite.Â
"Ok, I just gotta⌠set up the tent," Ranboo said, kneeling down to unzip the bag.Â
"We can help," Tommy said, landing on Ranboo's hand.Â
"You'll help," Ranboo said flatly. "With the tent that's like a hundred times your size?"Â
Tommy nodded earnestly. Ranboo saw the shit eating grin on his face, though; he wasn't fooling anybody.Â
"Of course, big man," Tubbo chimed in, zipping in front of Ranboo's face briefly. He sounded gleeful, like he was barely holding back a laugh. "We'll be such a big help. Can't let you do all the work on your own."Â
Ranboo held back a sigh. One downside of being best friends with two fairies was that they were constantly pulling 'pranks.' Whether or not Tommy and Tubbo's tricks could really count as pranks was up for debate. Mostly they just did their best to be annoying or get in his way whenever he was trying to do something.Â
"Of course, I'm so grateful for the help," he said through a sigh, sarcasm dripping from his voice. The two fairies exchanged grins, and his torment began.Â
After half an hour, the two fairies managed to make no progress on the tent. Instead they sent a total of three tent spikes flying through the air (one almost hitting Ranboo), tangled the tent so badly Ranboo wanted to die, and got buried in the fabric of the tent, needing to be fished out by their friendly neighborhood human. Only then, when they emerged with mussed hair and rumpled clothes, did they give up and let him actually set the tent up.Â
"We totally could have done that," Tommy grumbled from a nearby rock.Â
"Yeah if we wanted to actually work," Tubbo pointed out.Â
"God forbid that happen," Ranboo said with a snort as he pushed the last tent spike into place.Â
It had been harder than he remembered- probably because he'd never done it on his own- but the tent was up. And, honestly, it looked pretty good. He beamed with pride.Â
"Is it going to be big enough?" Tubbo asked from the rock. "I mean, you're like an entire tree tall and it's pretty small."Â
"Well," Ranboo said, peering inside. "It's built to fit three average sized people. So one tall person and two tiny ones should fit just fine."Â
"If not you'll just have to curl up like a turtle."
"What? Turtles don't curl up," Tommy said, giving Tubbo a weird look.Â
"Yeah they do! They suck their legs and head into their shell like thwip and curl up!" Tubbo argued, doing his best to demonstrate.Â
Ranboo crawled into the tent and laid down. He was able to spread his limbs like he was a starfish. If it weren't for the fact that there was no padding on the bottom, it would be comfortable.Â
"No curling up or turtling needed," he called. "It's a perfect fit."Â
Both fairies flew inside. Tommy landed directly on his forehead, while Tubbo hovered about a foot above his head. Ranboo held back a sneeze from the feathers tickling his nose.Â
"So we have a tent now. What's next?" Tommy asked.Â
"Now we start a fire," Ranboo said, grinning.Â
"Arson!" Tubbo shouted gleefully.
***
Despite the two very chaotic fairies urging him to light the nearest tree on fire, Ranboo did not, in fact, actually commit arson. Or⌠ecoterrorism? He wasn't sure what intentional forest fire starting would be, but he was very sure it was a crime.Â
For fairies, Tubbo and Tommy weren't very concerned about nature. They reluctantly accepted the controlled burn of a campfire, however, and settled next to it for the next activity.Â
"Now for the best part," Ranboo said. "S'mores!"Â
"Snores?" Tubbo questioned.Â
"S'mores," Ranboo repeated a little more clearly. He dug through the bag, pulling out two unopened packages of marshmallows, a sleeve of graham crackers, and two giant bars of chocolate.Â
The fairies listened with rapt attention as Ranboo explained the glorious process of making s'mores. He grabbed a stick and stuck a marshmallow on the end to demonstrate, and patiently began toasting it to a golden brown.Â
"You can set them on fire too," he said as Tubbo and Tommy grabbed their own, using the package of mini marshmallows he'd found. He had a feeling they might not have enough patience to slowly roast theirs.
It turned out s'mores were hard to make for fairies who were only a few inches tall. Ranboo broke off pieces of graham cracker and chocolate as small as he could, but Tommy and Tubbo's s'mores still ended up bigger than their heads. They seemed thrilled with this though, both demolishing their s'mores within minutes.Â
Ranboo happily ate his own s'more, delighted at the perfect gooeyness of the marshmallow. He watched with no small amount of amusement as the two fairies worked together to roast one of the bigger marshmallows- the ones that were the same size as one of them.Â
He ended the night with sticky hands and face, but Tubbo and Tommy were covered head to toe in melted marshmallow.Â
After the fire died down, Ranboo crawled into the tent, now complete with a sleeping bag. The long walk had finally caught up to him and he was ready to sleep.Â
He expected Tommy and Tubbo to be up a bit longer, but they walked into the tent a few minutes later, trailing sticky residue as they went.Â
"Can't even fly," Tubbo said through a yawn. His wings fluttered a couple of times to demonstrate his point, the marshmallow guts keeping them stuck together.
Tommy didn't even talk, looking half asleep already as he leaned on Tubbo. Ranboo gave a huff of laughter. He'd forgotten how quickly the two tiny fairies had sugar crashes.
"So, how do you like camping?" He asked drowsily.
"Mm 's pog," Tommy muttered.Â
The feathered fairy then flopped down directly on Ranboo's face, starting to snore seconds later. Ranboo suppressed his laughter, gently lifting Tommy off of his cheek and settling him on his neck. The marshmallow made his hand stick, and he resigned himself to being stuck to his friend until morning.
"This was really nice," Tubbo said quietly as he laid next to Tommy. His voice started to trail off as he drifted to sleep. "I like the forest and the fire and the s'mores⌠thank you for taking us here."Â
Ranboo felt a rush of warmth. He'd been so nervous that Tommy and Tubbo would be bored by something as mundane as camping. He was glad those fears were unfounded.Â
This place held so many special memories from his past. And now, he'd created new memories with his two best friends. Ranboo drifted off to sleep, happy he'd shared this place with them.Â

Not your normal museum visit (summer gift exchange)
For @aperson03
Tubbo defiantly wasn't happy when his parents decided that their vacation was going to be at a museum, how lame was that, but somehow... he manages to make a new friend and avoid certain death, not such a boring vacation now is it?
I hope everyone enjoys the story~
Of all the places to go to for a vacation, why did his parents decide to pick a museum, even the beach would have been better than this. âCome on Tubbo, you can have fun while learning, it's better than you being hold up in your room like your Nan used to be.â He could only huff at his mother's attempt to cheer him up, and so what if Nan liked to stay in her room with salt on the windows and always would make him put a nail in his pocket before he left, she always told cool stories about mythical creatures. â If it makes you feel any better, they have an exhibit about some of the things that mum used to talk about, you can go there while me and your mother head to the other exhibits.â This caught the boy's attention a bit, sure the museum would be the most boring vacation by far, but at least he can get away from his parents and the dumb lovie dovie stuff.
âAlright Tubbo, hereâs fifteen pounds for lunch, donât use it to buy something stupid from the gift shop.â His mother ruffled his hair gently as she turned to join his father who was waiting for her at an exhibit hall called lovers through time, which made the boy shiver in disgust but turned after sending a wave toward his dad. He should hurry up to get to the exhibit for what little bit of entertainment he can get from the place before he dies from boredom.
Tubbo did have to admit as he passed through the hall of dinosaurs, this museum was pretty impressive, he didnât expect it to have the full skeleton of a t-rex. Some impressive artworks showed what the animals could have looked like, from the scaly monsters from the movies to a life-sized velociraptor, it looked like an eagle on steroids. But this wasnât what he wanted to see as he made his way to a decorative stairway at the end of the hall, covered with fake ivy and small yellow lights to mimic fireflies. It was a cheesy design in his opinion, but he gave it the benefit of the doubt as he continued to climb, and was actually amazed at how deserted the area got. Did no one like myths anymore, and actually jumped when he was met with the sculpted face of a kelpie. He had to grip his chest for a moment as he caught his breath,â fuck your a scary sightâŚhow did anyone fall for you.â The horseâs face was a gold color with bright green eyes, but with the patches of green scales and dripping water weeds, the most terrifying thing was the wide mouth with teeth sharp enough to rival a sharkâs⌠perfect to devour those who rode its back. He took a few cautious steps around the statue, the emerald eyes seeming to follow him until he was fully immersed in the exhibit. He was amazed to see more statues of brownies, paintings of terrifying redcaps, a terrarium of bright green clovers, and just as many creatures his Nan spoke of.Â
It wasnât too long before he came to a grand painting that was placed near an authentic-looking fairy ring, the circle of mushrooms being filled with plenty of chocolates and pocket change, it made the boy pause as he wondered how the museum kept them from being stolen. His eyes looked to the painting and he smiled at the weirdness of it, moving to stand next to the blond guy his own age as he pondered it. It almost looked like an A.I generated paintings with clouds of browns and purples with two figures emerging, the upper figure having a skull-like face and slim frame while the other was masculine with dark feathers and a bird-like face, it was weird as it was pretty. He looked down at the title card,â Lady death and the crow fatherâŚkinda weird name huh,â the other boy's head whipped to face him quickly and Tubbo could see the surprise on his features.
The blue eyes of the boy scrunched slightly as he took a step closer, making Tubbo step back slightly and bump into the raised platform of the fairy ring,â You can see me?? Like really see me,â the blond turned his head around to scan the area for anyone else Tubbo could have spoken too,â holy shit weâre the only oneâs here.â The blond turned back and his face was split into a super wide grin and he excitedly grabbed Tubboâs hand,â Dad told me that humans donât see us anymore since theyâre too wrapped up in technology, but you can see me!â The boy turned to the painting and lifted his middle finger towards the lower figure with a loud cry of laughter,â Suck on that old manâÂ
Tubbo was just confused, why did this guy act so surprised that he saw them, he wasnât exactly hiding in his white shirt and jeans, and what was he talking about humans,â dude I donât know what you're talking about, but your grip kinda hurts,â besides the tight grip the guy had around his wrist, there was a faint tingling sensation where each of the digits touched his bare skin, like a worse version of a limb falling asleep. He tried to pull away again but it was as if he was fighting against a steel trap, the boy just looked at him more confused as he tried to fight him, almost amazed he couldnât pull away.
âWow your weak, but that's what happens when humans come up against the fae, oh dad said that some humans are born with a partial cawl over their faces,â one of the boy's hands went to cover Tubbo's eyes, and the brunette powerless to stop him despite his best efforts. â If I do this it should give you full vision of the glamor and be a bit better than normal lame humans.â As soon as the appendage covered his eyes all Tubbo could feel was pain strong enough that he would have fallen to his knees if the boy wasnât holding him up, but as soon as he felt like crying out, the pain completely disappeared. âThere we go, now you can see me in all my awesome glory!!â
The hand lifted away to reveal the room once more, and absolutely nothing looked different, did the weirdo put something in his eyes as a prank?? â Nothing looks different you as-â but the boy did look different, and completely inhuman. The blue eyes looked way too big for the boy's face now, and they were framed with red feathers that trailed to feathered ears where the human ones should have been and looking further Tubbo could see a double set of red hummingbird-like wings that ruffled slightly in the blondâs apparent excitement. The more he looked on the more mixed his feelings became, this boy before him completely turned into a differentâŚthing after covering his eyes... His mind immediately went back to what his Nan warned him about the fae. They never really looked like they were shown in movies or on television and could easily have the features of animals⌠and they always took interest in young people. This made Tubbo gulp slightly as he smiled weakly,â Yeah boss man, you look pretty fucking awesome.â There were two rules that his Nan drilled into his head the most should he ever meet a fae, that was to never insult one...and to never give your name to one.
The now fae smiled brightly, showing off some sharp teeth, â I knew it, your lame human world has just been blown,â The hands went to grip his again as the boy spun him, making Tubbo smile at how infectious the energy was,â What do I call you since you're going to be my new best friend, you can call me Tommy.â The words were spoken with such a sense of finality that it scared Tubbo slightly, making him frown and the fae frown in return,â Hey⌠why arenât you giving me your name, I canât just call you human, thats what my brothers do and you're going to be my friend⌠Right?â Tommy looked sadder the longer Tubbo was silent and kept looking sadder as he waited on an answer.
Tubbo could only take a shaky breath as he looked into the unnaturally large eyes again, a nickname should be safe right, it's not his true name but he will still respond to it. â You can call me Tubbs, and Iâll be your best friend if you give me your word that you wonât harm me intentionally or unintentionally.â The fae seemed to shiver slightly as the words left his lips, and the boy swore he felt a cold breeze drift through the room, but he relaxed as the fae smiled again with a nod. Tommy shifted his grip to hold both of the boy's wrists as he started to walk towards the fairy ring, flapping the feathery wings slightly to land in the center, and dragging Tubbo with him. â Uh Tommy⌠what are you doing, we're going to step on the mushrooms?â But the fae was gentle with setting him in the center of the ring, leaving the two standing within its center.
âI have to show you too my family, like I said it's been ages since weâve had a human who can see us,â Tommy smiled brightly as the mushrooms around them started to take on a faint glow,â Iâm so going to rub it in The blades face since he hasnât caught a human in centuries!â
Tubbo didnât even get the chance to comment on that last statement before the feeling of the ground under his feet turned to mush, and he couldnât yell out before he was sucked downwards. His free hand reached out to try and grasp anything that could save him, but as he disappeared into the fae wild, the only thing he held was a single metal screw.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Tubbo did have to admit to himself that after he was pulled through the display to the alternate world, the âfae wildâ as Tommy put it, his apparent kidnapper wasnât all that bad. He told pretty hilarious jokes and after a mild scuffle that turned into a full playfight, he could easily be friends with him if he was a human. He still didnât like his wording about being captured though,â Am I captured, last I checked friends donât kidnap each other?â
The fae just smiled as he continued to pull him through the weirdly colored landscape, with ferns and mushrooms the size of trees,â Oh Iâll return you to your side of the vail in no time, time passes differently here so a day here is only half an hour on your side, but hurry up Tubbs. We need to hurry through this section of forest before the goat bastard shows up.â The fae sniffed the air quickly and pulled the two of them off the clear pathway towards a grove of branching mushrooms, wings twitching irritably as they sighed. Tubbo couldnât help but start sneezing due to the spores, causing the other male to look at him in annoyance,â would you stop it, your human noises are going to get us noticed by the asshole who lives here, it was bad enough to get past him for me to enter your world.â
Tubbo didnât hesitate in the slightest to snap back at the blonde, snarling in a way that made the fae raise a brow in surprise,â then why donât you use your magic to stop these stupid things, I didnât think I would be allergic to mushroom pollen!!â The fae went to respond in turn, but the low reverberate thud cut off any come back,â the fuck was-â a hand swiftly shot out to cover his mouth, sharp nails just poking the skin in warning. He wanted to fight against the force, but the faeâs fearful appearance stopped his angry muttering, Tommyâs eyes and ears were flickering in every direction to find the source of the sound.
But the source came from directly above them as a low voice rumbled menacingly,â fee fi foe fum, I smell one of human blood,â the sniffing sound followed,â Tommy you little shit, what did I say about coming into my territory. Didn't your bird-brained daddy teach you anything, or is your head too full of feathers?â A large cloven hoof thudded to the ground before the boys, sending up a poof of more spores to Tubboâs horror, the appendage was the size of a small car. Tubboâs eyes drifted up the furred legs until he could see the face of the giant through the branches, despite the scruffy facial hair and red-rimmed eyes, the man's face held that same perfectness that Tommyâs has; the ram horns ruined it though. The giant man sniffed again as he moved an equally giant flask to his lips to drink, the dark liquid sliding down to splash near the smaller boys, making them both jump in surprise. Tubboâs body couldnât help but betray himself as another sneeze broke the silence, causing the goat-like ears to twitch, and the giant crouched down with a speed unmatching his size. The eyes quickly settled on the two boys and the giant face split into a sinister smile,â You little shit, you managed to drag a human here with you, donât mind if I take it from you.âÂ
Tubbo screamed as the massive hand shot forwards to grab him, ducking while dragging the fae with him, but had the breath knocked out of him when the second large hand slammed down on his body. He wheezed for breath as the two of them were lifted into the air, and felt the sickness of vertigo as they were brought to the giant's face,â dude⌠you need a fucking breath mint.â This made Tommy slightly snicker while the giant raised an eyebrow in slight amusement, but that look faded as it took another deep breath through its nose, and the eyes were fully dilated when they blazed open.Â
The look in them was no longer one of amused triumph, but one of near animalistic hunger as the giant licked its lips,â A mint wonât make it any better where your going kid, it's been ages since Iâve had a human, but young ones like you always last longer anyways.â The large tongue slid out and trailed up Tubboâs face, leaving putrid-smelling saliva all over him,â Oh yesâŚ. You got the sight too so that makes it even better-â
A loud shriek sounded from Tubboâs right, making his ears ring painfully,â SHLATT YOU FUCKING BASTARD, YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM FROM ME!!!â The words quickly changed to a louder shrieking and Tubbo wished he could raise his hands to cover his ears before his eardrums burst, Tommyâs face had shifted from the uncanny beauty to something terrifying, looking more like a vengeful harpy than a fellow teenager. The giant looked equally pained as they flattened their ears,â Fucken shit kid, why are you attached to it, humans donât live that long. Iâm saving you the heartbreak by eating it now.â This only made Tommy angry as he hisses out more expletives as the giant separated the two, leaving the fae in one hand and Tubbo in the other, Tommy did try to hold onto him, but his hand seemed to have been forced away before the grip got too tight.
The giant moved to hold Tubbo over its face as Tommy continued to shriek in his other hand,â Sorry kid, you picked the wrong day to enter the wilds, but enjoy yourself to some genuine fae whiskey while you can.â The mouth opened widely under him, the slightly stained tongue laid out like some demented red carpet and the dark abyss of the throat behind it. The large fingers slowly loosened their grip and Tubbo could only flail his limbs in panic as gravity dragged him towards his death, and everything seemed to move in slow motion. He looked away from the giant mouth to look at Tommy, the other boy was still screaming and almost looked like he was crying, which made Tubbo feel bad. They didnât get to know each other for long, but he did feel like they could have become true best friends.
Tubbo closed his eyes as the mouth grew closer, apologizing to his parents for not being able to meet them at the museum entrance, and apologizing to his Nan for not listening to her warnings when he slammed into something extremely warm. He waited for the dampness to soak into his clothing and his skin, but he still felt the air rushing around him⌠it didn't make sense. He opened his eyes to not see his death, but dark green fabric instead, looking upwards he met a familiar-looking pair of blue eyes framed with midnight black feathers,â you alright mate, we almost lost you to the belly of the beast just now if we didnât hear Tommy shriek.â Tubbo couldnât help but smile widely as grateful tears started to slide down his face, looking down he could see the giant yelling as two other winged faes antagonized it, one with insect wings and the other had more dragon-like wings. The older male gently adjust his grip as he flew above the chaos,â hurry up boys, we got the fledglings so leave the drunk bastard be,â The other two-winged males quickly flew towards them, leaving the giant to yell curses at them, and Tubbo was happy to see a certain blond in the arms of the pink-haired fae. A low throat clearing brought Tubbos attention back to the blond fae holding him,â Now then, why donât you tell me why my son was with a child of man?â
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
It wasnât long before Tubbo was sat at a wooden table before the blond man and the two other faes, the brunette looking at him curiously while the heavily scarred pink-ete was glaring down at Tommy, who was gently gripping his wrist while looking like he wanted to turn invisible,â So let me get this straight⌠you used the gateway in the museum and found a human with partial sight, and in your excitement gave him full sight, made a promise with him, and nearly got him killed trying to show him off!! What were you thinking!!!â Tommy just shrank further into himself and whined softly,â What would you have done if this boy died, there are rules for this, why do you think your brother stopped bringing humans anymore. It's dangerous!â
The blond male just sighed before turning to look at Tubbo,â and you⌠I donât know what to do with you..â
But Tubbo had enough, the stress of everything finally hit him and he couldnât stand seeing Tommy so upset,â Look, sir, I will give you my word that I wonât tell anyone about this, I know the fair folk like promises,â this caught the three adults off guard but he cut them off before they could speak,â the promise Tommy made that you were so worried about, it was just for me to be his best friend and despite nearly dying,â he turned and gave Tommy a brilliant smile,â Iâm more than happy to say heâs going to be my best friend no matter what.â The blondâs red feathers fluffed up in excitement at his words, and he wasnât being anything but truthful with his statement. This just made the older blond sigh in exasperation as the brunette moved over to gently ruffle both his and Tommy's hair, commenting on how two gremlins would keep the house lively.
The pinkete turned their red eyes over to him and sniffed slightly, causing Tubbo to wonder if he smelled bad,â are you related to the Underscore Beloved family, specifically an Alice?â This caught him off guard, Alice was his Nanâs name, and by telling them this, it made both the pinkete and elder blond smile in both relief and another emotion he couldnât read,â Of course, Tommy would make friends with one of her line, guess we wonât have to eat you in your sleep.âÂ
The elder blond quickly slapped the pinkete on the arm, telling him to âShutâ before sending him outside with the brunette, and looked at the two young boys with a soft smile,â Well then, anyone of that family is as good as family to me, but we need to set some ground rules before this goes any further, itâs going to be some things your nan has already taught you Iâm sure.â As the elder started to drone on Tubbo looked back towards Tommy, the blond seemed to glow in his excitement, maybe this wouldnât be so bad.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
âSo Tubbo, did you have a fun time at the folklore exhibit, it looked pretty cool to me when I and your mother saw it, but Iâm glad you didn't spend your whole time there when we went looking for you.â Tubbo jerked up to look at his parents, he was too busy tieing the cord on his new bracelet, a single ruby red feather dangled from it and felt warm every time it brushed his skin. His mother looked at him with a frown and sighed,â Didnât I tell you not to buy anything silly from the gift shop..â
His dad just laughed,â Now now dear, you're the one who gave him money, but I think it means he enjoyed his time here.â
Tubbo smiled up at his dad gratefully as they made their way home,â yeah, I guess a vacation to the museum isnât too bad,â and it wasnât since it inspired him to work on a new project. He can work on his music later, now he needs to learn how to grow mushrooms.

MCYT GT Summer Exchange 2022
It is time! We have decided to once again host a summer exchange event for the MCYT GT community. This is an event in which anyone can join whether youâre a writer or an artist.Â
This event will be done slightly differently than the past two exchanges. After doing a feedback survey of the people who participated in the past Secret Santa, we have found people were interested in doing a combined version of the past two exchanges. So thatâs what weâll be doing!
To summarize, we will have a common theme of the event that everyone will follow, alongside a prompt made by the person you are creating a gift for. Everyone will provide 2 prompts to allow some form of choice in case one doesnât ring with the writer/artist. One or both prompts can be used in the gift, that is entirely up to you, the writer/artist.
So the next course of action is the theme. The theme for the MCYT GT Summer Exchange 2022 will be
VACATION
You can do whatever you want with the theme and prompt(s) as long as it is within the boundaries of the event and of the person you are creating a gift for
Finally, weâre just gonna go over the basic rules of the event. They are also outlined on the application form, the blog, and the discord server
1) Nothing NSFW 2) Please come up with two different prompts/ideas following the theme 3) Topics anyone could be uncomfortable with should be avoided unless you are given the okay 4) On the same note, specify what topics you are okay with/would like to avoid in the last question to help the person who gets you 5) Any type of content is welcome! Art, writing, etc is allowed 6) If there is anything else you are wondering about, please don't hesitate to DM either of us or ask on the discord server, or on tumblr!
The link for the application can be found right below on this post. The application will be open until May 8th. Assignments will be given out roughly on May 11th and the event will go for about a month and a half, until July 1st. If you have any concerns about the due date because of sudden emergencies or anything that suddenly comes up, please message either of us about an extension with plenty of warning before the due date. Lack of substantial warning (ie. with days left until due date) can and will lead to possibly being banned from participating in the next event. It is unfair to the people receiving those gifts to have little to no warning on a late gift. Thank you.
And if youâre joining the event and not already on the event discord, please shoot us a DM or ask and we will get you the link to join. Have fun!

Little Fish
Here it is, this is my piece for the mcyt g/t enchange, and my person was @lorie-the-little-ghost! Iâve never written Karlnap before so I was supper excited to see this prompt and I hope you enjoy! Living with Sapnap felt just as natural as swimming, of course, there were the occasional rough parts, but the reward was worth more to Karl than any risks that came with sharing a house with a human. When Sapnap first suggested they were to get a house together, Karl all but glowed at the idea. He loved Sapnap and couldnât wait to spend even more time together with his boyfriend, there was only a slight problem with this. The house they moved into was right on the seaside and while the view was truly gorgeous, Karl couldnât help the way his body froze anytime Sapnap mentioned going down to the actual beach.
The idea of Sapnap seeing what Karl actually was terrified him, he truly loved Sapnap and as much as he hated keeping such a main part of him a secret from him he couldnât help but be more scared of losing his love. So he agreed to move there and just promised himself that he would avoid all water while around Sapnap. Even if it hurt him every time he declined going down to the beach with some flimsy excuse. After all, the man was relentless with his efforts, and seeing his face fall every time was not something Karl wished for.
It was this current thought process that brought Karl back to the conversation he was having with his boyfriend, âCome on babe I promise itâll be so much fun, I even packed us lunch!â Sapnap pleaded, staring at him with his best puppy dog eyes. Karl almost broke then and there, maybe if he went and just stuck strictly to the sand everything would be okay. But the little voice in his head couldnât stop whispering about all the what-if scenarios. Ignoring how his heart yearned to be able to swim with Sapnap while in his true form.Â
He looked away from Sapnap, not wanting to see the disappointment in his eyes at his answer, âIâm sorry Sap but Iâve just got a really bad cramp right nowâ The excuse sounded weak even to Karl, and as soon as he mumbled out his answer he was standing from his chair and making his way down to their bedroom. He immediately flopped down onto the bed and groaned loudly into his pillow. Getting all his frustrations out he grabbed it with both hands and curled himself around it, trying to swallow down the guilt he felt at lying to Sapnap.
Meanwhile, Sapnap just stared as his boyfriend all but ran out of the room from him. Sighing he sat down the bag with their lunches in it on the counter and slumped into the seat Karl was previously sitting in. He couldnât help but feel that Karl was hiding something from him. He seemed so excited to move in together yet there were times when it felt like Karl would just completely pull away from him. Thinking over all the odd encounters heâs had with Karl recently made him notice how these moments aligned with anytime Sapnap mentioned going to the beach.Â
Raking through his brain for possible solutions he tried to think of why Karl would avoid the beach like the plague. Itâs not as if he avoided water either, as the man still took showers like a normal person. So if Karl wasnât scared of water then why wouldnât he want to swim? As if his muddled thoughts cleared suddenly, he was left with an answer that made so much sense he was shocked he hadnât figured it out earlier.Â
Karl canât swim.Â
It made perfect sense! He must have just been too embarrassed to say anything so instead, he just avoided his problem. Well, how could Sapnap claim himself as the best boyfriend if he continued to let Karl suffer alone in his embarrassment? Sapnap was determined to teach Karl to swim now, he smirked as he thought about his adorable boyfriend clinging to him as they waded in the ocean together. Taking their food out of the bag and putting it in the fridge Sapnap left the kitchen and made his way to their office where he began his research on how to teach someone to swim.Â
Deciding to stop wallowing in his own self-pity Karl peeked out of the bedroom trying to gauge where Sapnap was in the house. Karl was already hiding a big part of himself, the last thing he wanted to do was completely hide away from Sapnap. Walking through the hallway he saw the lights were on in the office, he gently knocked on the door before pushing it fully open and entering.Â
At the sound of Karl coming in Sapnap swiftly closed the tab he was on and spun his chair around to face Karl. They made eye contact and Karl gave a little apologetic smile at Sapnap, normally the younger would feel disheartened after his boyfriend declined his offer once again but knowing the truth now he smiled fully back at him.Â
When Karl walked into the office he was a little suspicious of how quickly Sapnap closed whatever screen he was on but with how big of a secret Karl was keeping from him he figured it was only fair Sapnap got to have his own. So instead of questioning the weird behavior he just moved on getting ready to apologize to Sapnap only to be surprised when Sapnap genuinely smiled at him, âI just wanted to apologize again for not being able to go to the beach with you but uh, I think I mightâve just eaten something bad.âÂ
Standing from his chair Sapnap made his way over to Karl grabbing both his hands in his own and rubbing a circle gently on his boyfriendsâ skin, âHey, no worries baby, I understand and besides thereâs always next time,â He let a smirk grow on his face and wiggled his eyebrows at Karl, delighted in the way he broke into giggles at his antics.
Karl seemed to stare longingly into Sapnaps eyes as he replied, âYeah, next time.â
Next time seemed to come sooner than Karl was prepared for as normally Sapnap waited a couple of days to ask him the dreaded question again but it seemed his boyfriend had other plans for today.Â
Sapnap had left the house extra early that morning just to go shopping for the items needed for his swimming lessons with Karl. He couldnât wait to show Karl the kickboard and fun assortment of floaties he had bought.    Â
He was practically vibrating with excitement as he unlocked the front door shopping bags in hand. He couldnât help but smile in glee when he saw Karl started as he burst in through the door and saw Karl startle.Â
Their current positions felt like Deja vu as Sapnap prepared to ask Karl the same question he asked yesterday. But this time would be different as now Sapnap knew why Karl was declining all his offers.Â
âKarl my love! We are going to the beach today!â Paying attention he noticed how Karl winced once he realized what was said, only reaffirming Sapnaps suspicion.Â
Biting his lip in contemplation he tried to find the words to say, âSap I would love to, but, I just ate and I really shouldnât go swimming right after eating.â Normally this would be the moment when Sapnap tried and failed to not act sad over Karl declining and then he would eventually give up asking until another today. Today however Sapnap seemed to only grin wider after hearing Karls response.
âSee I knew youâd say that, every time Iâve asked you to come down to the beach with me youâve always declined,â Karl wasnât sure he liked the way Sapnap was walking towards him as he spoke, âIâve been trying to figure out why you would say no.â At this point Sapnap was practically standing over Karl making the taller have to look up at him as he was sitting down, âAnd I finally know the truth.âÂ
Karl felt like his heart was going to pound out of his chest with how fast it was beating. How could Sapnap know? He had been so careful not to slip up and expose himself yet somehow his boyfriend had still found out. âGo on, say it then.â He closed his eyes in preparation, not being able to look at Sapnap when he said it.
âYou canât swim!â Those three words had Karl startled out of his thoughts.
âI, uh what?â
âYeah babe, I know youâve been too embarrassed to say anything to me but I figured it out yesterday and Iâve decided Iâm gonna teach you to swim.â Sapnap sounded so sure that Karl found it hard to even respond to him.
âThatâs not- I know how to swim Sapnapâ He weakly argued.
âYou donât have to lie anymore, plenty of people canât swim Karl, you donât have to be embarrassed around me,â and before Karl could even respond Sapnap was emptying the grocery bags to show his earlier purchases.
âLook! I even got stuff so that It would be easier for me to teach you!âÂ
Karl could feel as his eyes start to swell with tears, he was so lucky to have such a caring boyfriend, if only he knew the truth. Standing up so he was now right next to Sapnap, staring down at him. âSapnap, this was all very sweet of you but I canât go to the beach with you.â
He could see confusion paint Sapnapsâ face as he spoke, âI donât understand, why are you avoiding this?â
âI just canât okay?â He turned to leave the room, desperate to escape this conversation but found his wrist caught in Sapnaps hand before he could.Â
âIf you can swim then why are you avoiding me on this? Did I do something?âÂ
âNo, I just canât talk about it,â He tried to pull his wrist free but found Sapnap still holding on.Â
âWhy canât you tell me?â Sapnap pleaded.
âI just cant!â Karl tried pulling his wrist out again at the same time Sapnap let go. Not expecting the sudden momentum Karl stumbled backward flailing his arms to try and catch his balance. As he did so he knocked a glass of water straight off the counter and onto himself.
It was as if time froze before multiple things happened all at once. Both men turned to a state of panic, Sapnap worried the glass hurt Karl while Karl was panicking over what he knew was about to happen. He could see Sapnaps lips moving, trying to ask if he were okay but his ears were filled with a ringing sensation. Karl could only pray that this time he got water on himself would be a fluke, maybe nothing bad would happen.
As if thinking about it made it true he immediately felt himself go from towering over Sapnap to now having to stare up at him from the floor in just a quick flash. He had never seen Sapnap from this angle and he could only imagine the short jokes Sapnap would make if he saw him now. That is if he was able to ignore the fishtail now attached to his body and only focused on his new height.
Meanwhile, Sapnap stared in disbelief as one second his boyfriend was in front of him and the next he wasnât. Looking around the now empty room and not seeing Karl he started to panic and call out, âKarl?! Baby, whereâd you go?!â
While Karl was trying to figure out a plan to get away without being seen he couldnât help but hear how desperate Sapnap sounded. He kept glancing from his tail, up to his boyfriend, and then again. If not for the way Sapnap was still calling out in a panic he might not have worked up the courage to gain his attention. Drawing all his nerves Karl sat, petting his tail for comfort, he had to remind himself that this was Sapnap, his loving boyfriend, who would never hurt him.
âSapnap!â Watching as the aforementioned male looked around in confusion he continued, âLook down!âÂ
Sapnap hearing Karlâs voice looked down to see his boyfriend, not only tiny but sprouting a rainbow fishtail. Crouching down to get a closer look at him he saw that sure enough, his boyfriend was now a tiny merman,â So I take it this means you do know how to swim?â He joked.
Flustered, Karl covered his face with his hands, âThatâs the first thing youâre going to say to me?!â God Karl couldnât believe how much of a nimrod his boyfriend was.Â
âJust trying to lighten the moodâ He chuckled. It still felt like his eyes were deceiving him and he started to reach out to Karl only to pause right before actually touching him when he saw Karl flinch away from him. âI would never hurt you, Karl,â he whispered, keeping his hand right in front of Karl.
Slowly reaching out he put his hand on Sapnaps finger marveling at the size difference, âItâs not you Iâm scared of, itâs just your heightâÂ
Sapnap felt his breath hitch at the feeling of Karls little hand on him, looking closely he could even see little webbing between his fingers, âWhat, jealous that Iâm taller?â
âOh shut up nimrod!â Karl lightly smacked Sapnaps finger and gasped in surprise when he nudged him back in retaliation.Â
âSo, a fish huh, donât you like need water or something?â His eyes squinted in concern as he stared at Karl as if he was about to drop dead.
âTo stay in this form I need to remain wet, otherwise Iâll transform back, my scales will probably dry out soon enoughâ
âDo you want to? Stay in that uh form I mean, If you want, I can run a bath for you?âÂ
âYeah actually, that would be really nice.â
Surprised that Karl agreed Sapnap perked up cupping his hands around Karl but not touching him just yet, âIs it okay if I carry you?â
Karl had never been held by a human before but if he was going to do this he was glad it was someone he trusted as much as Sapnap, âYeah.â
Constantly looking at Karlsâ face to see if there was any discomfort he slowly began to close his hands underneath the little fish. Until Karl was fully cupped safely in his hands, where he brought him against his chest for extra support, âIâm gonna stand now, okay?â He watched as Karl clung onto his thumb for support and nodded his head in confirmation.
With that Sapnap slowly stood up, thankful that he was still wearing shoes as he made his way around the broken glass on the floor, making a reminder to clean that up later. Careful not to jostle his little passenger he slowly made his way to the bathroom. Once inside he gently moved Karl to one hand, using his other to get the bath set up.Â
He absentmindedly started to stroke Karlâs tail while waiting for the bath to fill, awed by how much trust Karl put into him. Karl may not have got a choice in Sapnap finding out his secret, but Sapnap was determined to do anything to show his boyfriend that he could be trusted with this.
Eventually, the tub was filled and Sapnap gently slid Karl into the water, âInto the tub for you.â As soon as he said that he felt water hit his face and looked to see Karl giggling before swimming under the water.
Sapnap couldnât help but watch in amazement as Karl expertly glided through the water, truly able to see for the first time just how pretty his tail was as it seemed to sparkle underwater. It also looked like Karl just enjoyed swimming and it made Sapnap ponder when the last time he got to transform was.Â
He waited until Karl popped his head above water to praise him, âYouâre really fast underwater.â The blush that coated Karls tiny face was just an added bonus as he complimented his boyfriend.
âIâve never really gotten to test out how fast I can goâÂ
âWell letâs see then,â that was all the heads up Karl got before his boyfriendâs hand approached the water ready to chase him down.Â
Karl squealed before diving back under the water, and the chase was on. It was a little difficult for Karl to avoid capture while stuck in a smaller area but he was able to hold his own very well and the few times Sapnap almost got him he was able to slip out of his grasp and keep the chase going.Â
It wasnât until Sapnap used both hands to fully cup around Karl and scoop him out of the water completely did he admit defeat,â Sapnap,â Karl whined, âthatâs cheating,â he pouted.
âMaybe this will make up for it,â He brought Karl up to his face and began to pepper kisses all over his body, delighting in Karlâs laughter and little squeals. He finally backed off, leaving Karl to catch his breath in his hands, minuscule chest breathing heavily as he did.
âFish or not, I love you, Karl,â Karl didnât think his face could get any redder at this point and he used his hands to cover his face before gesturing for Sap to come closer.
At his request, Sapnap leaned in closer, going cross-eyed as he watched Karl press a kiss to the tip of his nose, âI love you too, Sapnap.â

For the MCYT G/T exchange to @epic-lil-tiny
Prompt: G!Tubbo goes to G!Wilburâs house while T!Tommy borrows in their house and Tubbo is forced out to help out Tommy and to make sure the other giant doesnât find out.
(This might have derailed a lil bit from the prompt near the end but I hope itâs ok with you!)
Unexpected Help
Tubbo was on his way to Wilburâs house since he left his phone there earlier. As he walked through the door he called out, âWilbur! You home?â when he didnât get a response back he decided to just walk in and find his phone he left somewhere in the kitchen.
Tommy thought this was going to be an easy borrowing trip since the human in the house was gone and probably not coming back for a while. When he was climbing up his rope to leave the kitchen, he heard someone walk in the door and call out for someone. It surprised him enough that he started falling from his rope with a yelp and as he was falling he caught it again and got tangled. He tried his best not to make any more sounds while trying to free himself so the new human in the house wouldnât hear him.
âWhat was that noise?â Tubbo said in confusion. He couldâve sworn he just heard someone yelp in pain. When he walked into the kitchen he noticed something dangling from a rope. As he walked closer he realized it was a person!
Tommy felt immediate fear when he saw the human turn the corner and started staring at him. He knew he was done for when the human walked closer. Without thinking Tommy shouted, âStay the fuck away from me!â
Tubbo was surprised when he heard the tiny person shout at him to stay away. âLetâs start over, Iâm Tubbo and youâre dangling from a rope.â
Tommy was debating on whether he should say his name or if he should keep trying to get untangled. You know what, if Iâm already gonna be trapped by this human, I might as well give him my name, âThe nameâs Tommy, and for your information I meant to do this.â
âOh really? How are you gonna untangle yourself?â
âItâs easy! You just gotta⌠ummmâŚâ Tommy said as he got even more tangled trying to untangle himself, âYeah no, Iâm stuck.â
âSo, can I help now?â Tubbo really wanted to know more about Tommy but first he had to get him unstuck.
â....Fineâ
âOkay! Let's do this!â
Tubbo then tried to get Tommy unstuck without hurting the borrower. Since Tommy made the tangles worse it was a bit harder than it first seemed.
âOkay, you arenât helping at all. Youâre just making it even worse!â Tommy shouted
âWell if you hadnât gotten tangled in the first place we wouldnât be here!â Tubbo shouted back.
âOh yeah?-â Tommy was cut short as Tubbo decided to just cut the rope with a pair of scissors.
âThere we go!â Tubbo said proudly.
âMy rope!â
âHey, at least youâre not tangled anymore.â
âWell yeah but itâs gonna take forever to get another one like it!â
Just then, as they were fighting over the cut rope, Wilbur walked through the front door to hear Tubbo shouting with someone.
âWhat is going on in here?â Wilbur Questioned.
âUh ohâŚâ both Tommy and Tubbo said in unison.
Wilbur stared at the scene in his kitchen, Tubbo standing by a counter in front of⌠was that a tiny person?
âUhhh look Wilbur I can explain!â Tubbo tried to reason.
âExplain what? Youâre in my house for no reason talking to some tiny person standing on my counter.â
âFirst of all, he has a name and itâs Tommy. Second of all, I forgot my phone here so thatâs why Iâm here.â
While Tubbo was arguing with Wilbur, Tommy was panicking a little bit from there being two humans standing right in front of him, talking about him. So, the logical option was to hide behind the toaster and wait.
âTommy is a nice guy!- wait whereâd he go?â Tubbo said in confusion.
âProbably got scared off or something,â Wilbur calmly said.
Stepping out of his hiding place in anger Tommy said, âI did not get scared off!â
âOh yeah? Then why did you hide?â Wilbur asked.
âI wasnât hiding! I was uh, putting something away!â
âReally? Well it seemed like hiding to me.â
âI swear I wasnât hiding! Tubbo come on, help me out here!â
âI dunno⌠It seemed like hiding to me,â Tubbo said smugly.
âYou asshole!â
âOkay, maybe I should properly introduce myself to you. Iâm Wilbur.â
âYeah, I know. I think I would know your name since Iâve been living here.â
âIn my house?â
âYeah, in your house. Or should I say, our house?â Tommy said with a smirk
âHey wait! Tommy, I just assumed you were a normal person who got shrunk or something. But what exactly are you?â Tubbo asked
âOh yea I never said did I? Well, Iâm whatâs called a borrower. And you may be wondering, âwhatâs a borrower?â well a borrower isâŚâ Tommy then began to explain exactly what a borrower was, for example, how they live in the walls of houses and âborrowâ food to survive.
âWait, isn't that just stealing if you donât give it back?â Tubbo questioned.
âTake it up with the person who came up with the name borrowers, âcause it ainât me,â Tommy said.
âYou know what. From now on, no more borrowing,â Wilbur said sternly.
âWhat?!â Tommy and Tubbo yelled together.
âWhat I mean is, you donât have to borrow anymore. Just ask for something and Iâll get it for you.â
âOh⌠can my first request be some string?â
(Thatâs all folks! :p)

hello there! i was assigned to you for the mcyt g/t exchange and i'm just about done with my submission! however, its gotten pretty long and id prefer to stay in anon if possible when sending it to you. so i was wondering if you would prefer for me to send you a link through ask to the google doc with the fic i made for you, or if you would like it sent through a submission? - bio
I would prefer if you sent it through submissions but either one works!
