why does every YouTuber I grew up watching turn out to be a vile human being? Especially the Dsmp. During 2020-22, I LOVED the dream smp, the stories and the people just brought so much enjoyment to me and it rlly helped me through a rough time.

I feel like every week a new accusation comes out about someone different and all the sudden it changed my perspective on them.

it’s not just minecraft youtubers, it’s others in general. These people use their fame as a shield to mask the horrid things they’ve done and it’s honestly disgusting.

istg if it turns out that people like Tubbo and Ranboo are awful I’m going to lose it.

I left MCYT Social media alone because I've seen that all it causes is issues. Only to find Wilbur Drama. I've read into it and I've come to a conclusion. Anyone who is on Wilbur's side purely because you enjoy his content/Music and him as a person can leave my page. Not only is it not okay but also extremely disappointing and gross as a person. I didn't think it was possible to take multiple days to write out an apology only for it to be such a horrible Apology that it's considered not one anymore. And the fact the multiple of his "friends" stepped up about his behavior shows that if you support him after this, you are in the same boat as him. It doesn't take a super human to see how Gross Wilbur is. Making a situation about him to save his reputation, downplaying Shelby's feelings and experiences in such a subtle way, and "I want to extend my sincerest apologies for any pain that I caused." Shows how fucked up he is, so much so that he has no accountability no remorse no said Progress, so much that he can't even admit in a document, nor say the words "I'm Sorry To Shelby". Actually fucking slobbish.

Final thing I'm going to say about it, but do Tommy's viewers not realize people can criticize him without cancelling him? Not a single person has "Cancelled" Tommy. People on twitter said they wanted him to stop making a specific joke, as it was a bit rude to go that far with a bit about disliking someone when you've never met that person. Absolutely nobody claimed Tommy was racist. (I've checked, no one said that)

They said the bit was unfunny and went too far. That's it. They were critiquing a joke. That will happen. That happens all the time.

The only other thing going on was to say it wasn't fun for PG streamers that they didn't check. Nobody was lynching Tommy, nobody was cancelling him, they just expressed some frustration that their streamers felt uncomfortable. The only people dragging this out and turning it into a huge drama are the inniters who cannot handle some minor issues being brought up and immediately blow it way out of proportion.

In light of Iskall and Stress’s decisions to leave Hermitcraft, I ask all the fan-content creators to PLEASE NOT DELETE STUFF ASSOCIATED WITH THEM RIGHT AWAY. ESPECIALLY FICS. We don’t know the full context, and plus, it’s a part of Hermitblr History. At the very least, if you don’t want to be associated with their content, orphan the works or repost them anonymously. Heck, send them to me, just so we have an archive! Hermitblr has been so good about separating the ccs from the characters, so let’s not let interpersonal conflicts between the ccs majorly affect our enjoyment of the characters, especially with what little we know.

augh but the way tommy's video is clearly parodying wilbur soot's music videos - "internet" in the song title, retro camcorder 4:3 video format, the part where all the text appears was of tommy walking down a subway - while the lyrics are all thinly veiled jabs at wilbur ("left wing sexist", "just cause you got bullied doesnt mean you can take it out on all of us") and then this shows up

For those wondering what’s going on bc I didn’t know until half an hour ago:

Iskall and stress resigned from hermitcraft bc of allegations (using this term until it is undeniable that this happened) that iskall harassed someone and made 18+ remarks to someone on discord.

Mumbo has made it clear the person targeted was NOT A MINOR.

Not much is known yet from my side as I’m doing my own research before coming to a consensus but until then this is all I will post about it.

Just a reminder folks that ppl come on mcyt spaces for comfort and need trigger warnings
