dream is doing a weird thing where instead of just going after tommy, hes going after tommy and all of tommy's friends as one unit, to the point where he believes that pulling up receipts against jack is equivalent to pulling up receipts against tommy. and i think it has to do with how dream and his own friends function as one singular "dream team" who share their content and branding together, and hes assuming that tommy's friend group acts the same way with tommy as its head. except thats literally not the case. aside from occasional appearances from jack, most of the current standup comedy that tommy is doing is solo. his friends are just regular friends that he hangs out with. but its like dream cant comprehend the idea of having friends outside of content creation reasons, so hes attacking all of them (including aimsey who did nothing wrong) as part of tommy's "team", which is confusing the fuck out of everyone else because i dont think any of them has ever thought of tommy as their boss. in fact, im pretty sure tommy gets made fun of the most in their friend group. but dream doesnt realize that because hes stuck in content creator branding mode. its honestly sad to see

let's see...jaunary wrapped up:

starting either the 10th or 11th, we had about Goddamn Fucking Weeks of Dream v Tommy (let's be honest it was mostly Dream v Tubbo) which consisted of reddit threads, twitter posts, multi-hour streams from multiple parties which were then posted as vods, and two videos- one from tommy on the 12th, and then dream on the 13th. Tommy and Jack have also spoken about it a few times on their podcast, but mostly on their patreon episodes. The final say is generally considered to be the Tubbo & Dream call which was streamed on the 15th.

A short stint of drama happened on the 19th, with a video about stolen redstone builds on the dsmp. It specifically targeted Awesamdude. the video was based on a stream 2 months ago, and at that same time, another creator made a video also about pandora's box. With the video posted on the 19th, both these videos and that stream vod got new attention and sparked a new wave of discourse.

Also bringing back drama from 2 months ago in November, on the 30th or 31st Iskall posted a video titled "I'm Cancelled", which is his take on his exit from Hermitcraft back in November. Stress also exited from Hermitcraft at that time, and posted her support of him on that video, before apparently deleting her channel??? I looked her up and her channel is, like, gone. Not abandoned, not "left youtube"- GONE.

Tommy also posted a 'This is the Internet' video where he jokes about the dream situation, also on the 31st.

NGL I wish the Hermits weren't taking Iskall's bait. Their statement was concise and had no extraneous details. They stated only that their were allegations, who resigned, and cleared up any rumors about minor grooming. They don't need to say anything else.

Iskall made his video to stir the pot, to pry the edges up until someone released more information. He is trying to drag this out into the light and cause drama. Every piece of information released is something that can be debated to death.

For example, the purposefully confusing "1.5 hours, timezones considered". Everyone has clung to that and used that to shed doubt on whether or not the Hermits acted "fairly". Hermits immediately started vague posting about it in outrage, letting slip small details.

That's what Iskall fucking wants.

IDK how many MCYT fans are privy to YouTube influencer drama, but this is the model for YouTube drama. 1) Drama happens behind the scenes, 2) One party makes an inflammatory video taking direct shots at another party with vague or incorrect details, 3) Ppl flock to that video and blog ab it, 4) Second party posts in response and reveals additional info 5) Ppl flock to that video and more people flock to the first video for context, then they all blog about it, 6) The revealed info is picked to death in a series of videos and blog posts, 7) Auxiliary drama channels make a mint "documenting" this drama, 8) Anyone who monetizes their videos makes a bajillion dollars.

It's extremely lucrative for those who know what they're doing. That's why Iskall is doing it.

It felt so scummy and manipulative to watch dream pull up all those old clips of Tommy thanking him and liking him when he was a kid.

Especially with how clearly that is NOT the case now, and how he said it made him feel small. He even asked awful ccs to stop bringing up old texts

It didn't feel like 'evidence', it felt like exactly what Tommy had accused him of -- like he was taking credit, like he was belittling him.

It was just very hard to watch, and did nothing to convince me he even understands what he did that was wrong

Update on Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic

Hey Guys, Gals, Demons, Ghouls and Multi-Fandom Fiends! Yeah, it's been a long ass time since I've posted, and I do apologize for that. I'm not going to make excuses here, but what it all boils down to is a whole lot of IRL Drama that is Days of Our Lives/As the World Turns Soap Opera-worthy! But that is for a r/TrueOffMyChest Reddit Post with everything that's been happening!

So, let me get to the point before this becomes another 20 20-page front-and-back essay that I'm infamous for! /s

I know it's been Several Months/Over a Year since I updated Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic. I have been writing on and off when I get the time, but many times, I'm just staring at a blank screen and blinking cursor. Then I try writing something else, and the Creative Writing Juices start to flow, I start to write again. But then I never post the pieces or the pieces just remain "Pieces."

The thing of it is, I know when I post this/write this, Yes I WILL admit that I am a MASSIVE HYPOCRITE here! You don't need to message me that I am or go in my inbox and tell this! I KNOW that I am or in some kind of way, that I am! I accept full responsibility for this!

I know I have written/posted here on Tumblr and on Reddit that it "has taken me years to get to the point of just Write what you want to write" and "Never let others dictate what you want to write." Here's the thing, and yes, this is what makes the Hypocrite! I've been writing FanFiction for over 20 years. LiveJournal, FanFiction.net, AO3. I wrote on them for many fandoms! Mortal Kombat, Highlander the series, My Little Pony, Power Rangers (Mighty Morphin up), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel. Okay, you get the idea, It's pretty cringeworthy and, yes, very toxic fandoms, too! And back in 2k16, I discovered some of the Fandoms of the Youtubers! However, some of the Communities do have some toxic fans in there, too.

Here's where I'm the Hypocrite and me finally getting to the point of this post (I apologize for that it's just writing my feelings out is therapeutic for me).

So, to the point here, even with all this Drama going on, I want to WRITE what I WANT to WRITE! Without anyone's damn little voice in the back of my mind telling me that I'm doing it wrong!

I want stories about JackSepticeye's Egos! But I had so many people telling me that I was doing it wrong! That I couldn't write a "Soft" Anti b/c AntiSepticeye is the VILLAIN and nothing else, and that's how you are SUSPOSE to write him, and if you write any other way, then you are doing it wrong! That is NOT true! I want to write Swap!AU where AntiSepticeye is the Hero and the Villain is Jackieboy Man but was corrupted by another Ego/Character. That Story barely saw in light to it b/c of that!

Now, to the point of this post! There has been so much Drama in the MCYT yes, even in the Hermitcraft Community! I've actually taken a huge break from Writing and being online less time than I usually do. The thing of it is, I don't want to "Update"/Post a Chapter then take several weeks, Update again, take several weeks, update again, take several months.

1) That's not really fair to Multi-Fandom Fiends

2) I want to actually finish a FanFic as well!

3) I don't want the "Little Voice" that's been going on with me to take over and suddenly I stop doing things b/c it's "Not the right way to do it!" "You can't write that b/c what the Actor/Creator did/said and if you're writing that Character then support them"

Here's the thing! I DON'T support them! I DON'T support William Gold nor do I support Clay! HOWEVER, I do love the Characters! The CHARACTERS, the FICTIONAL, the MADEUP People! NOT the Actors/Content Creators!

So, I'm going to be rewriting Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic. I'm not taking down the Original Post. That's staying up! Not Orphaned or anything like that! It's still going to be on my Account, but I'm going to be uploading/updating a different version of it! There are many things I want to write, many ideas I want to do, and so many things I want to add! But it just feels like I "Can't" without worrying/fearing getting "Cancel" for just writing about a Fictional Character!

But after going back an forth talking it over with my husband and other writers. I'm actually going to be taking my own advice! FUCK those people who are going to saying all that! I'M going to be writing what I want to write no matter what! I don't care! 20 plus years of doing this, and I'm done being a Writer's Doormat on my own Writing!

I know over the years, my writing style has changed, I have gotten better over the years, and there are so many things that I want to write! So, write now (pun intended) I'm going to focus on FebuWhump 2025, and then I'm going to be writing the new version of Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic.
