We've just hours to go before signups close for the 2024 FTH auction. In the history of FTH we've only had one fandom ever break 100 signups in a single auction — MCU had 100+ signups in 2020. Right this minute, however, we're only 3 signups away from having a second fandom crack that number. K-pop is RIGHT ON THE EDGE. Will you help it make it across that line? Or sign up for another fandom and bump them up the list? There's still time. Do the thing!

Ranking Every Single Piece of Media I Watched/Played/Read in 2024 Part 2
This is part 2 to this post. I'm not explaining the premise of this list again. This is ranked from worst to best. Let's-a-go.
Rye Lane - 7/10 - I didn’t like it nearly as much as other people, mostly because I’m just biased against rom coms, but this is one of the best-made rom coms I’ve seen. I love all the cool touches and cinematography they add, like Yas’ play or Love Gu’Actually. It does dip into tired rom com tropes by the end, but I still had a blast with this movie.
Robot Dreams - 7/10 - Cute little animated movie about this gay ass dog and robot. The story went in a way I wasn’t expecting, and that ending in particular hit me emotionally. Funnily enough, this has a similar plot to Past Lives, but did it a hundred times better. That’s embarrassing.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - 7/10 - Pretty fun movie and that’s about it. The human plot wasn’t too interesting, but Jia and Trapper were cool characters, but the Kaiju action is where this movie shines, especially the suplex. It’s fun, it looks pretty good, it has good action, it’s about what you expect from a Monsterverse movie.
Ponyo - 7/10 - What a delightful little movie. Its lack of plot is carried by an insanely fun world and charming as hell protagonist. The animation and music are also great, as per tradition with a Ghibli movie. It’s not one of their best, but still worth watching if you haven’t.
Ouija: Origin of Evil - 7/10 - Who’d thought that a movie about a Ouija board would be really good? This movie has plenty of really cool filmmaking, writing, and acting that lets it earn every single scary moment it pulls off. I highly recommend this movie, and as a plus, you don’t need to watch the first to get context!
The Cat Returns - 7/10 - I wanna fuck the Baron. I know the animation is great and the story is super simple, but super fun and all the characters are memorable and it’s probably one of the funnier Ghibli movies, but who cares about all that when I can just fantasize about marrying a fictional cat?
Love Lies Bleeding - 7/10 - I LOVE LESBIANS! Aside from that, this movie is pretty fun, well acted, and the plot is the definition of “never let em know your next move.” Basically, it’s exactly like Drive-Away Dolls, but actually good.
Niel Gaimen’s Norse Mythology - 7/10 - Tumblr superstar Mr. Gaiman strikes again. This is a well-written, fun collection of tales of Loki’s bizarre adventures. I especially like how the last 3 stories led into each other, but I wish that more of the stories did that.
Jackie Brown - 7/10 - While not as fun or action-packed as other Tarantino movies, this is still a well-acted, well-written crime drama. Shoutout to Pam Grier and Sam Jackson for acting their asses off and shoutout to the ending for sucking eggs.
The Secret World of Arrietty - 7/10 - This is one of my partner’s favorite Ghibli movies, so I legally can’t say anything bad about it. Luckily I don’t have to, since this is a really solid movie. I love Arrietty as a protagonist, Haru is a funny villain, and this movie is just overall really cozy. I want to live in that tiny dollhouse holy shit.
Pearl - 7/10 - I think I watched these out of order since I saw this before X but oh well. I expected this movie to have good acting and a lot of tense, gorey scenes, but I didn’t expect it to be as pretty as it was. The color palette and aesthetic of this movie is unnerving in itself and I love it.
Deadpool & Wolverine - 7/10 - This is a really fun, campy, gorey as hell entry into the Deadpool trilogy and a good way to introduce him to the MCU as a whole. The Fox cameos were handled well, Hugh Jackman’s performance was really good for a movie like this, but with how hyped up it was and how great Deadpool 2 is, I was expecting a lot more.
DnD: Honor Among Thieves - 7/10 - Super fun, but not super deep movie. This scratches the itch that the other DnD movies didn’t where I wanted to see cool magical stuff with a bunch of likable characters. There are plenty of emotional moments to get you invested with the gang too, even if the comedy took me out of the movie entirely.
Furiosa - 7/10 - I’ve only seen 2 Mad Max movies so far, but I’m already a fan. The action is awesome, the cinematography is great, and I love the worldbuilding here. If the characters were better (Furiosa and Dementus were great though), then this movie would be as good as Fury Road.
The Wind Rises - 8/10 - I didn’t really get invested in this movie at first, but once the fire over Tokyo happens, this movie really grows on me. The animation and sound design of the planes are beautiful, the love story is so heartbreaking and well-told, and Stanley Tucci as Caproni is a 10/10 performance. Watch the English dub if you haven’t, it’s so good.
Anatomy of a Fall - 8/10 - Yeah, this movie has amazing writing and acting and a great plot where you slowly but surely unravel a mysterious case where there’s no single one person you can truly trust, but what the hell is up with the prosecutor and why was he such a bitch? Miles Edgeworth lookin ass headass
Mean Girls - 8/10 - Why do y’all hate this movie so much, it’s so fun. I’m normally against remakes of movies that don’t need it, but the script retooling and the musical numbers really help this movie stand apart from the original. Oh, yeah and Renee Rapp is amazing, but you already knew that.
MLPEG: Sunset’s Backstage Pass - 8/10 - This is the good shit. I love time loop stories, and Sunset going through the same concert over and over is a fun premise where she learns to give Pinkie a proper date night. Also the Dazzlings returning is better than the second coming of Christ.
Super Mario Land 2 - 8/10 - This game is just so charming. It controls pretty floaty and is nearly incomprehensible when played on actual hardware, but I love everything else about it. The sprites are beautiful, even for a Gameboy game, the worlds and bosses have so much personality, and the Carrot powerup is so fun. For the last 2D Mario game for 12 years, it’s a pretty good one.
The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs - 8/10 - This is such a fun play. It’s about a lady who got abandoned by a guy getting back at him by crossdressing and fucking with him, and it’s great. Most of the characters are interesting, it’s pretty funny despite its age, and I can fix Don Juan.
Civil War - 8/10 - This movie’s marketing basically made it destined to be controversial, but I thought it was pretty good. The characters and acting are incredibly good, the visuals and camerawork are incredible, and the apolitical nature helps us focus on how traumatizing a war can be. ‘Nuff said, really.
MLPEG: Forgotten Friendship - 8/10 - Yeah, these shorts peaked with the first one. Kinda sad, but this is a great story. The plot is interesting and tense, Sunset and Trixie being friends is pretty cool, and Sunset going back to Equestria and making up with Celestia is just chef’s kiss. Easily the best EG content since Rainbow Rocks.
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - 8/10 - This counts as Ghibli, right? If so, what an incredible first movie for them. The animation is stunning, the characters range from ok but underbaked to one of my personal favorite Ghibli protags, and I love Teto so much. He’s baby.
Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes - 8/10 - Apparently all you need to create one of the most creative sci-fi movies of the 2020s is just a GoPro filming your friends nonstop for 70 minutes. The time travel and single-shot gimmick are great and the characters are all fun. Kinda wanted it to be longer tho…
Mary and Max - 8/10 - A very sweet, wholesome movie with a heartbreaking ending. I love the motif of the only dialogue in the movie being through characters’ letters and I especially love the look of the movie. One of the finest stop motion-animated movies
MLP: The Best Gift Ever - 8/10 - What a delightful time. Unlike Rainbow Roadtrip, the longer runtime doesn’t drag, but it gives everyone plenty of screentime with some great moments, like Rarity’s interactions with Pistachio, Applejack and Fluttershy outing Flim and Flam, and literally everything Discord does and says.
Only Yesterday - 8/10 - Guys, I think Isao Takahata is good at making movies. I love all of Taeko’s flashbacks and how they inform her decisions and mindsets going into her adult life visiting the countryside. I only wish the other characters outside of her were stronger and I also wish Tara Strong was in the movie more.
Penny’s Big Breakaway - 8/10 - This game is just super sillie. My favorite thing in games is when they have cool movement tech and this game is 80% cool movement tech. Penny controls super well, the art style is fun, the secrets are fun to find, and the characters are really charming. If the boss fights didn’t suck eggs then I would call this game a masterpiece.
The Fall Guy - 8/10 - David Leitch might be one of the best newer directors working right now. Between this, Bullet Train, and Deadpool 2, I’d say that he really knows his stuff when it comes to action-comedies, and it’s a shame this movie didn’t do that well. Maybe it can have a new life on streaming or VOD, because this movie is great.
Die Hard - 8/10 - I finally watched it this Christmas, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The action and the sneaking around scenes are really good, but the true highlight here is how great of characters John McClane and Hans Gruber are. Especially Hans; Alan Rickman worked wonders.
Clue - 8/10 - I love pulpy-ass murder mysteries, and this scratches that itch perfectly. It has such an insane and fun mystery to follow throughout, the characters are funny and well acted, and there are so many quotable lines. I also love how they made 3 endings that they shipped to different theaters all at once. I wish I could be that much of an agent of chaos.
Inside Out 2 - 8/10 - It’s nowhere near as funny, interesting, or creative as the first movie, but it’s still really damn good. The new emotions are all great and super fun, the old emotions have enough good character writing to not be stale, and it’s still emotional as hell and fun as hell. Lance Slashblade is what the people who made Ralph Breaks the Internet thought they were making.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - 8/10 - Not a super deep or complex game, but such a fun one. The shooting’s great, but the framing device of an old cowboy telling tales with you playing out the tales as he tells them is just perfect. I also didn’t know that Dwight Eisenhower was such a twink.
Memoir of a Snail - 8/10 - Same story as Mary and Max, honestly. Another beautifully animated stop-motion movie with a great story and heart to it. It’s a lot more somber than Mary and Max, but that just means that the emotions hit even harder. Also gay son snail daughter
Orion and the Dark - 8/10 - One of the most underrated movies I’ve ever seen. This movie excels with its creative animation and incredible script by Charlie Kaufman. Dark, Orion, and Hypatia are all great characters and it's a shame that this movie didn’t get the marketing it needed to be popular. It deserves all the popularity, more than Kung Fu Panda 4, that’s for sure.
The Chalice of the Gods - 8/10 - Oh, we are so back. I don’t know what there is to say about this book that isn’t obvious. It’s really fun and there are some great character moments, especially towards the end with the fight with Geras. Shoutout to my boy Elisson, he’s done nothing wrong.
The Zone of Interest - 8/10 - The first hour of this movie is a perfect experience, with visceral sound design and haunting directing making me feel deeply uncomfortable and genuinely depressed at what’s really going on beyond the wall. The next 40 minutes or so are really boring and tedious, with none of the same spunk the first hour had, save for the ending. That first hour is so good that it carries the movie, and it deserves all the praise it gets.
Super Mario Party Jamboree - 8/10 - I don’t usually rate party games this highly, so that’s how you know this is a great one! It feels the most like a celebration of every single Mario Party that came before it, with plenty of modes and minigames outside of the regular party mode. Plus you can finally play as Pauline so that shot it up like 5 spots for me.
Amphibia - 8/10 - Another Disney Channel banger. I don’t like it nearly as much as its sister show, the Owl House, but I still loved the characters, setting, and the overall plot had me invested, even though I knew most of the big spoilers going in. I could’ve used more Hop Pop centric episodes, though.
The Boys S4 - 8/10 - One of the only things reaffirming my love of comic book adaptations is still great. Aside from some weak plotlines, it’s still as funny, biting, well-acted and well-written as ever. Stronger than the last season and it’s setting up for an amazing final season.
Wicked - 8/10 - I saw the original musical when I was a kid, and this movie translated the first act pretty well. Yeah, the lighting and the CGI is pretty ugly, but the practical sets stood out as incredibly pretty. Oh yeah, and the singing and the songs were exceptionally pretty, as is expected from a musical. This should’ve been called Wicked Act I instead of Part I. Are they stupid?
Asura’s Wrath - 8/10 - On a storytelling, writing, and character perspective, it is easily one of the best on this entire list. Asura is an incredible character, the story is gripping, and the action is insane, especially when you factor in the DLC. As a game, though… it’s alright, I guess. I’m not a fan of the hack-and-slash segments and the QTEs are fun, but I wish that there were more of those and less mindless button mashing.
The Office - 8/10 - Yeah, that’s right! I finally got around to watching one of the most critically acclaimed sitcoms of all time, and I really enjoyed it. There are some characters I wound up hating by the end and I especially didn’t enjoy seasons 1,8, and 9 that much, but it’s overall a funny show. maybe a lil overrated ok byeeeeeeeee
Fun Home - 8/10 - What a fucking book. The way Alison’s prose is realized through incredibly verbose, but still thought-provoking and stimulating text accompanied by beautiful artwork is just a sight to behold. I haven’t found a slime tutorial of it, but I hope the musical lives up to this standard.
Sorry to Bother You - 8/10 - I love a good, weird-ass movie. I couldn’t predict any single part of this movie’s plot, from the caller revolution to Patton Oswald white person voice to the horse people to the hilarious ending. There are some scenes that don’t fit the tone or vibes at all, but it’s still a great time that I think about a lot.
Invincible S2 - 8/10 - I mean, what’d you expect from Invincible? It’s not as good as the first season and that mid-season break definitely soured this show in my eyes, but I still loved every bit of it. The Mark/Nolan plot is still gripping, the side characters really shined this season, and the animation is beautiful. Oh yeah, and the Atom Eve special was also good.
Dykes to Watch Out For - 9/10 - A fun as hell, emotional as hell comic strip series by the Bechdel test lady herself. Most of the characters are great and super well written, and it puts a whole new light on LGBT issues dating all the way back to the 80s. I found Moe to be a bad protag at first, but seeing people on Twitter act exactly like her on a daily basis, I think she was properly done.
I’m in Love with the Villainess - 9/10 - The age of male loser anime is dead. Long live the age of female loser anime. This anime is just a blast from start to finish. Most of the characters and worldbuilding are nice, but Rae and Clare’s romance is the star of the show here. Rae just like me fr
Angel Hare - 9/10 - I am not an analog horror person, but goddamn I clicked so hard with Angel Hare. I’m not sure whether or not we can call this “horror” at all, but I loved all the characters, I love the style and the visuals, and I especially loved the messages and the themes, especially in seasons 2 and 3.
Killers of the Flower Moon - 9/10 - What a movie. I love Scorcese and all his best movies, but I didn’t believe he had this kind of story inside of him. A story that’s complex and pays respects to Native American history and culture so well, with performances that go beyond typical Scorcese directing and have a shit ton of nuance to them. Lily Gladstone deserved an Oscar goddamnit.
Dungeon Meshi S1 - 9/10 - This anime is so fun. The story and setting are intense and cool with how it deals with life and death, but the characters are the highlights here. All the main cast are memorable, likable, and have their moments to shine throughout the season. I’m rooting for Farcille all the way, babyyyyy.
Princess Peach: Showtime - 9/10 - This is a game I was so excited for this year and it fuckin delivered. I absolutely adore the art style of this game and how it incorporates elements from live theater. The gameplay (besides the Detective parts) is also a ton of fun. Turns out this was the Barbie game I needed in my life.
My Adventures with Superman S2 - 9/10 - Now this is my kind of Superman. I love everything about this show, from the writing to the animation to the characters to the action, it’s all so well done. It is kinda derivative of other cartoons, but that’s not enough to make me prefer this version of Superman over most others across fiction.
Transformers One - 9/10 - After watching all of the live action Transformers movies this year, I’d almost forgotten what a real Transformers movie is like. Yes, the humor doesn’t really work. Yes, B is unlikable as hell. I don’t care. This movie excels in just how perfect the story, twists, and characters are. This is exactly the Transformers movie I’ve always wanted.
Princess Mononoke - 9/10 - What if Pocahontas was actually good and subversive and had a ton of meaning? This movie is dark in all the best ways, with the inherent goodness of Ashitaka’s character creating some genuinely emotional and beautiful scenes. But god, we can cut like 15 minutes off the ending, yall.
Dune Part Two - 9/10 - My favorite Dune movie so far. It has the extraordinary filmmaking that the first Villeneuve Dune had, but this part has an exciting and interesting plot throughout. There are some great action setpieces, charming characters, and that ending is just beautiful. Plus, this is the orangest movie of all time, which was for me specifically and I appreciate that.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses - 9/10 - If this is how all the Fire Emblem games are, then I have missed out on some good shit. The characters and story are fun, but the gameplay is so incredibly engaging and compelling (outside the minigames in the monastery). Also, Edelgard is the best character. You can’t convince me otherwise.
The Bear - 9/10 - Damn this show is just as good as everyone says it is. The editing and camerawork are both great, but the characters are the highlights here. Carmie has a great personal story, Sydney and Richie have great episodes, and most of the side characters are memorable and fantastic. Except for fucking Claire Bear.
Look Back - 9/10 - How is this movie even real? How can you pack such an incredibly rich, heartbreaking story coupled with gorgeous animation and incredible character writing and only have it clock under an hour. Please watch this movie above any others on this list. If this doesn’t get nominated for Best Animated Feature I will shit myself.
Twisted - 9/10 - How have I not watched Twisted up until this year? This musical is so funny, so emotional, and the songs fuck hard. How is Take Off Your Clothes one of the best villain songs of all time? How did this even happen? Why did the Aladdin movie neglect such an important character like Prince Achmed? DISNEY YOU HACKS
Godzilla Minus One - 9/10 - The best Godzilla film I’ve seen so far. Obviously, Godzilla was the highlight, being an absolute menace who is just incredible to watch tear through Japan, but the human conflicts with Shikishima, Tachibana, and Noriko were really compelling. I wish Noriko didn’t miraculously come back from the dead at the end, but it’s a small blemish on an otherwise perfect kaiju movie.
Grave of the Fireflies - 9/10 - Jesus fucking Christ. This movie is so beautiful and so devastating in so many ways. The animation is gorgeous, the story is heartbreaking, and Seiko and Setsuko are some of my favorite protagonists in any Ghibli film. But seriously, fuck this movie for making me feel these kinds of emotions.
Undertale - 9/10 - I don’t even need to explain why this game is so good. It can get repetitive going back to get different endings, but the writing, combat, and characters make it so that it’s never boring. It’s currently one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Also, that Alphys and Undyne date was the cutest shit I’ve ever seen.
X-Men ‘97 - 9/10 - I’ve never seen the original cartoon from ‘92, but if it’s anything like this show, I’ll be in for a treat. The animation is stunning, especially during the action scenes, and it adapts the X-Men comics in an incredible way. The rest of the modern Marvel movies should take some notes.
Poor Things - 9/10 - The best of the Best Picture nominees this year. It’s funny, creative, visually gorgeous, and Bella carries the movie in terms of emotional moments. It’s so fun seeing her figure out the world in her own, unique, risque way. Yorgos hasn’t missed once and this is no exception.
Fallout: New Vegas - 9/10 - If this game didn’t crash so much, it’d be a 10/10 easily. But the bugginess of the game and the fact that there were no options to get places quickly if you haven’t discovered them makes it so that I don’t think this is the masterpiece other people think it is. With that said, it’s still Fallout: New Vegas. The combat is fun, the characters are great, and the world is just spectacular. No wonder other trans women love this game so much.
The Wild Robot - 10/10 - You know, Dreamworks, I don’t know went to quit ya. What a masterful experience watching this movie was. The animation is godlike, the score incredible, and Roz’s journey throughout the movie being something I just instantly clicked with. I’m ok with the bad sequels if that means they pay for more movies like this.
Blue Eye Samurai S1 - 10/10 - Easily one of my favorite shows ever now. The animation is beautiful, the action is gory and creative, the characters range from super compelling to super endearing, especially Mizu, and the writing is some of the best I’ve seen from a Netflix show. I hope the next season is good, if it ever comes out, which isn’t a guarantee knowing Netflix.
ok bye

SPIDER-FIT CHECK: THE MOVIE SUITS (Part 1)
Happy Spider-Man day!! Today ill be goin through every live action Spider-Man suit ever put to film!
Tumblr media
The Human Spider: 6/10
Ha! You thought it was gonna be the Tobey suit. No before he made the first Spider-Man suit, Peter suited up in this sweater and ski mask combo to fight Bonesaw. And its perfectly suitable, not much to talk about aside from the neat negative spider in the chest.
Tumblr media
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: 10/10
Here we have our first interpretation of Spider-Man on the big screen and god they knocked it out of the park. The raised silver webbing is such a good look and im a fan of the angular eyes on this suit. (I'm aware that the suits used through the trilogy change with every film, but not enough to warrant seperate rankings)
Tumblr media
Symbiote Suit: 9/10
Black suits are so cool and that remains true here. The raised webbing and angular eyes are still big highlights, but it just being a simple recolor stops it from being the same level as what it came from. Those yellow lenses are cool af tho.
Tumblr media
Amazing Casual Suit: 5/10
Andrew's first suit is much more thrown together than the Human Spider or the upcoming Homemade suit from homecoming. And while it has its own unique charm, that mostly comes from how Andrew's Peter carries himself, rather than the suit itself.
Tumblr media
Amazing Spider-man: 8/10
I LIKE THE BASKETBALL SUIT AND IM TIRED OF PRETENDING IT ISNT COOL. The unique materials on this suit plus the yellow eyes make it so unique and stand out from every other suit here.
Tumblr media
Amazing Spider-man 2 Suit: 12/10
The best version of the classic suit ever put to film. The eyes? Perfect. The colors? Vibrant. The eyes? Spot on. This is what I think of when you say Spider-Man.
Tumblr media
MCU Homemade Suit: 7/10
The best starting suit of the 3, the moving lenses, bright colors, visible bulky webshooters, and spray painted symbol are big highlights. Big Scarlet Spider energy.
Tumblr media
Homecoming Suit: 8/10
Its so close. So close to being perfect. But im sorry some things on this suit hold me back from giving it a perfect score. I dont like the barely visible webbing on the red, and I absolutely despise the dark blue running through the cyan. But those things don't tank my enjoyment of this suit too much, the colors and moving eyes are still phenomenal.
Tumblr media
MCU Iron Spider: 2/10
This is awful. Im sorry but taking the amazing Iron Spider from the comics and deciding to make it a washed out red and a deep cerulean blue makes me hate it. They should've just adapted the suit from the books instead of trying to mash the Sensational and Iron Spider together to a suit that doesn't meet the sum of its parts.
Tumblr media
MCU Stealth Suit: 4/10
...Meh. I dont really have strong opinions on this? Its a little on the bulkier side, and I dont like the head straps that are only there to justify the moving eyes.

What would be your top 5 of disney villains you wish would appear in future games, and who didn't get a chance to already appear?
So, I’m gonna do you one better here and go all the way into making this a full-blown list. XD I was debating if I’d wait till the KH Month Event I have planned to do something like this, buuut since you’re asking now, I’ll just take care of it now. ;) Now, I’m not gonna be counting villains who have already appeared, or ones from worlds that we know are planned for the future (such as Zootopia and Coco). Also, I’m only counting characters from Disney or Disney-owned properties. With that said…here’s a list of not top five, but TOP TWELVE Villains I Would Like to See in Kingdom Hearts.
Tumblr media
12. Any of Spider-Man’s Villains.
Yeah, this is cheating, I know. But it’s my list, and it’s at the very bottom, so cut me some slack. :P Ever since Disney bought Marvel, people have been BEGGING for a Kingdom Hearts level with Marvel characters. I wouldn’t be against this, myself; however, Marvel is such a vast, sprawling universe in its own right, it would be REALLY hard to make a “Marvel World” with ALL of the characters. You’d have to figure out which one or two would become Party Members, and you’d have to figure out how to focus the story. If I were to make a Marvel world in KH, I’d specifically choose to base it on Spider-Man, for three reasons: one, I think the mechanics of the character and his universe would be interesting to explore in KH. Two, Spidey is arguably Marvel’s most popular character, so if you’re only going to choose one, he’s the best-selling option. And three, a lot of the best Marvel Villains ALL exist in Spidey’s universe, and you can have a lot of fun with any of them for a single World. The Green Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock, Kingpin…all of them offer some interesting possibilities. The reason I list these guys so low, however, is because a.) there’s already a LOT of Spider-Man games, so it’s not like he or his villains really need the recognition KH would bring to the party, and b.) there are so many versions of Spider-Man, whoever puts a Spidey level in KH would have to think really, REALLY hard about how to handle it. Do you base it on a movie in the MCU? Do you do something based on a specific comic or TV show? Do you just go in your own direction? There’s perhaps TOO MANY possibilities, if that makes sense, and so while I’d love to see it happen, I can understand if it never does.
Tumblr media
11. Darth Vader.
Just like Spidey and Marvel, ever since Lucasfilm got bought out by Disney, people have been aching to see a Star Wars World in KH. And, just like with Marvel and Spider-Man, part of the reason I rank Darth Vader so low on the list is because there’s already a LOT of Star Wars games out there, so it’s not as if we really NEED a KH level to give them attention. Also, KH already is a bit confusing since it’s kind of already a space adventure, when you think about it, so how do you put a space fantasy setting into what is effectively ALREADY a space fantasy setting? It’s part of the same reason why - spoiler alert - you WON’T be seeing “Treasure Planet” and Silver here, as much as I would love to see either. However, what puts Vader over Spidey’s entire Rogues Gallery is that Star Wars is a lot easier to harness, so to speak: there’s not a bajillion different versions of Darth Vader, there’s basically just one, when you get down to it. And while there’s certainly a lot of room in the Star Wars universe to play with…let’s all be honest, if KH DOES do something with Star Wars? The chances are extremely high it’s going to be based on either the original trilogy, or is going to take place within that sort of period of Star Wars history. I don’t think it would be as profitable for them if they used one of the TV shows, it wouldn’t make as much sense if they used the Sequel trilogy, and the chances of the Prequel trilogy being used don’t seem very high either. That’s really why I name Vader, specifically: the chances of seeing other major villains (aside from those others present in the original trilogy, like Boba Fett or Emperor Palpatine) isn’t very good, and let’s face it, a boss fight against Vader with Sora and either Donald, Goofy, or both in the mix, would be…both awesome and absolutely fecking HILARIOUS at the same time.
Tumblr media
10. Shere Khan & Kaa.
The problem with these two is basically the same problem I have with the idea of Jungle Book world in general, which is why I don’t place them very high. Do I want to see them and this universe in KH? Absolutely; it’s honestly kind of a glaring oversight that it hasn’t happened yet. The problem is…well, what would you do that’s different? We had a jungle exploration level with talking animals and humans mingling in KHI, and in terms of turning these two into competent bosses that could face Sora, I don’t know what you could do that wouldn’t be too similar to stuff from the Pride Lands in KHII (especially in Shere Khan’s case). So, as great as it would be to see them and their world, it’s hard to imagine what they would really do that would make it stand out. That’s probably why it hasn’t shown up yet, to be perfectly honest, and while I will naturally be delighted if/when that day comes, I can understand why it hasn’t happened so far.
Tumblr media
9. Zira.
The only villain here who would be from a returning World, which is why I place Zira low. That, and the problems that exist with Shere Khan would effectively exist with her: aside from the whole “villain turns into a Heartless” thing, or perhaps something like the first game where they have two forms - first Zira as herself, then her as some kind of monstrous creature - it’s hard to think of how you’d manage Zira combat wise. And God knows I’m thinking of that stuff with these characters, because the one thing KHIII pissed me off on was the decided lack of proper Disney Villain boss fights (minus Davy Jones). However, I would genuinely like to return to the Pride Lands again, and since I doubt Disney would make a level like that based on “The Lion Guard,” the next best thing would be to based the World on the sequel film, which - unique among Disney Animated Sequels - seems to actually have a decent following of fans. And if you do that, it’s only natural that Zira would appear as the villain. So it’s less for her own sake, and more for her world’s sake, but I’m still placing her here.
Tumblr media
8. Tamatoa.
We frankly need a new undersea/ocean-based adventure in KH. Atlantica’s three attempts really didn’t go over well in ANY of the games, so I think taking a new stab at the idea with “Moana” would be a good idea. Because of the way the film works, you can eliminate a lot of the stuff that made Atlantica’s visits problematic, and with new technology and bigger budgets being afforded to these games, you can REALLY make the world come alive with color and splendor that wasn’t possible back in the early 2000s. That was the best part of KHIII, to me: the visuals and the colors were so breathtaking, because gaming had just come such a long way, and to see more games with that aesthetic splendor, taking advantage of other worlds, would be great. Plus, the whole story focuses on literally trying to return someone’s heart: how perfect for KH is that?! While Te-Fiti would doubtless be the big star of a Moana-themed World, antagonist-wise, it’s Tamatoa I would be MOST excited to see, which is why I name him, specifically. (Also, for you kinky weirdos…I pray to God he gets a move where he tries to eat Sora…maybe have us struggle to escape his stomach…just a few thoughts. >///> )
Tumblr media
7. The Horned King.
I’m genuinely a fan of the Horned King, and ever since I was a little kid, I thought it would be cool to see a Black Cauldron World in KH JUST so you could have a boss battle with the King. In fact, a chance to do that would fix a problem with the film and the character! In the original movie, there are all these lines and pontifications from the King and others about “his power,” but we never really SEE much of that power in action. Aside from him teleporting in one scene, the King never really shows how great a sorcerer he supposedly is. With KH, you can mend that issue: have a boss fight with the Horned King, who uses all this dark magic to attack you, and maybe involve the Cauldron in the fight as you try to knock him towards it, or have to attack it to activate something or complete some goal. The only reason I place the King in the lower half of the list is because I doubt Disney would do a Black Cauldron level (for reasons I probably don’t need to name), and even if they do, I wouldn’t put it past them to fudge things up with this character at this point. :P
Tumblr media
6. Willie the Giant.
I had to wrestle with fifth and sixth place a bit. Without giving away who number five is, between them and this character, Willie seems the most likely to appear, if only by the slimmest margin. We’ve already had Mickey Mouse-based Worlds in KH based on Steamboat Willie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and that Three Musketeers movie…so why NOT do something based on “Mickey and the Beanstalk”? Have it be another of King Mickey’s dreams or past adventures; maybe it was something that helped him become a King to begin with! Or, hey, maybe it doesn’t take place in the time of the film, but some villain or other plants a bean in Disney Town/Disney Castle, and we have to climb the Beanstalk from there, kind of like with other “Worlds Within Worlds” from past games. Also, Willie just seems like he’d be an AWESOME choice for a boss fight; he’s not the most evil or the most bright of Disney Villains, but HE’S A LITERAL FREAKING GIANT. And one who can shapeshift, at that! That could be SO COOL for a boss battle! You can go in so many directions there! Even if he’s not part of the main game, you could include him as a surprise character of some kind; like an optional battle or secret battle that pops up somewhere, a-la Julius or Monstro. I dunno, it would just be neat to see!
Tumblr media
5. The Phantom Blot.
Okay, so, the chances of this guy getting an appearance are very, VERY small. Between him and Willie the Giant, Willie is much more likely to appear in some fashion than the Blot. Heck, a lot of characters I’ve already named are much more likely to show up. So, on that front, he probably shouldn’t be this high up…but I’ve always had a soft spot for the Blot, and I think it could be really fun to use him in a KH game. We’ve seen how Pete has shown up with multiple references to his history throughout the games, just like Mickey, so why not bring the Blot in? He could be a rival to Pete, perhaps; a returning criminal who, like Pete, Mickey & Minnie best in the past and either destroyed or banished. You could play with different versions of the character that have existed: for instance, have him appear as his master crook self first, but then later transform into a giant ink monster a-la Epic Mickey - again, much like how the villains in the first game often worked out, with two different forms. It’s probably never going to happen, but “I can dream, Harold!”
Tumblr media
4. Professor Ratigan.
GOOD LORD, I WANT A GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE LEVEL SO BAD. Imagine the fun of playing as Mouse Sora! Imagine how a tiny Goofy and Donald would look, how cool it would be to explore Gothic, mist-filled Victorian London alongside Basil of Baker Street! Everything so much bigger than ever, riding on Toby’s back to get from place to place! And, of course, getting to have a battle with the Napoleon of (Rodent) Crime, Professor Ratigan himself! (Not to mention an encounter with Felicia…I refer you to my thoughts on Tamatoa.) The only thing that prevents me from placing Ratigan in the top three is the voice: Vincent Price’s voice is thoroughly inimitable, and I’ve never really heard ANYONE replicate to my fullest satisfaction, in general. Maurice LaMarche - who’s played Vincent Van Ghoul for various Scooby-Doo related things - probably comes the closest. I guess you could either see if you could get him, or you could somehow stitch together archival audio of Vincent, but it’s hard to say how successful either would REALLY be. Still, if Disney and Square Enix ever do try a GMD World for KH, I will have high hopes to see this nasty no-good-nick there!
Tumblr media
3. Syndrome.
My favorite Pixar Villain from my favorite Pixar Movie. Now that we’ve got no less than three Pixar films in KH (counting Coco’s confirmation), I wouldn’t be surprised at all if an Incredibles level came along some time. If it does, it would be great to see this guy show up then. Honestly, I don’t think I need to say anything else beyond that, so…I’m not going to. That was easy. Moving on.
Tumblr media
2. The Headless Horseman.
Just like the Horned King, I would LOVE to see the Headless Horseman show up in KH sometime, and have imagined such a thing since I was but a wee little snot. HOWEVER, unlike the Horned King, I know EXACTLY how one would handle him. While I don’t think a Sleepy Hollow World would work out all that well - it’s not exactly the most “active” Disney story to adventure through, so chances are it would be more background scenery while Sora and Co. deal with original threats - I think it would be great if you did for the Horseman what KH has done in the past for one of three characters: Monstro, Chernabog, or Julius. For Chernabog, he showed up as a surprise boss towards the end of the game when Sora and Co. entered “The End of the World” in KHI. For Julius, he was an optional battle who would startle the player if you ran into him by going to a certain place at a certain time. And for Monstro, he was a villain you faced only as part of a series of minigame challenges in the Mirage Arena for BBS. I think any one of these would be BRILLIANT to give the Horseman a shot: have him show up as a secret boss you have to unlock in some fashion, or as a surprise villain who pops up in the pits of darkness at some point, or even gets summoned by one of the original baddies! Or, heck, if you DO try a Sleepy Hollow world…however peripheral most of it turns out to be, the chance to face the Horseman would make it ALL worth it.

Tumblr media
1. Dr. Facilier.
I think this is the character MANY people would like to see show up the most, not just me. He and his film itself just seem like such natural fits for the KH universe. He’s a wily witch doctor who controls shadows - that already sounds like a KH villain! These shadows are busted by light - again, sounds like a KH thing! He can conjure illusions, change people’s shapes, and his defeat comes at the hands of dark spirits: all very KH things that would fit in a battle and boss-beating. Plus, while I don’t think this guy is as popular as he was…ten years ago, maybe? He’s still considered one of the chief Disney Villains, and he’s been my personal second favorite for a long time. It’s genuinely surprising he hasn’t shown up yet, and I can only pray that he will, and that when/if that time comes, the KH universe will treat him nicely.

SUBMISSIONS CLOSED!
poll info:
this poll is literally to cause tumblr drama because I’m bored. feel free to start discourse in tags or replies. I’m not a mod of my posts and I’m not monitoring my posts. do your thing.
reiterating this poll is for fun, and while I’ll try to keep it organized, I am not going out of my way to make a tumblr poll bracket I’m doing in my free time 100% bias-free or 100% optimized.
I reserve the right to add or remove ships to the initial bracket at my discretion, or to not answer all asks, or whatever else makes it more fun, short of actually changing results (I will let the people decide.) basically, if you have a problem with something about the way this competition is run, I don’t care.
I feel like this should go without saying but I do ascribe to the idea that some ships are inherently morally bad and deserve to be hated. I won’t post about all my opinions on the ships, but if a ship is predatory/offensive/has bigoted shippers I will join in calling it really bad, and I will not be accepting or starting anti/pro-shipper discourse here. it’s 2023, grow up and stop shipping incest.
polls will be posted in batches from their respective level on the bracket and will last a week before moving on to the next set. i.e. all of the first vs. polls will be posted at the same time until a week passes and they’re done, and then the winning ships will be noted and we’ll move on to the second level of the bracket and all of those polls will be up for a week, etc.
posts will be tagged via batches (”batch 1“, “batch 2″, etc), ships, and fandom.
I will be trying to seed it properly based on ship prestige, number of submissions, and common sense. if you have an issue with it after all of that, send a text form complaint to 1-800-YOUR-MOM to file necessary feedback.

Weekend Top Ten #679
Top Ten Films of the 2000s
As we draw towards the close of the year, I’m tempted to both look backwards at what’s gone, but also look ahead to what may be around the corner. We’ll be a quarter of a way through this new century, one which still feels like the future to me. It’s made me think about the films of the century – a topic I might return to next year – but in doing so I also looked back and realised that I needed to catch up with an old topic of mine. Which is: films of the decade!
A fair while ago now I ranked my favourite films from the eighties and nineties. And now, much belatedly, I return to the theme and rank my favourite films of the noughties. And it was quite a decade. The noughties felt defined in a lot of ways by films that came out around the turn of the millennium, but we also see the seeds of what would become popular in the following decade. The Matrix lead to loads of desaturated, bullet-time-heavy action films with goth-rock soundtracks; Pixar’s success kickstarted the CG animation boom; and a couple of fantasy-tinged epics helped usher in a new era of swords, sandals, and swollen runtimes. But we also saw the shoots of the later comic book boom; Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy made superheroes serious, whilst Raimi’s Spider-Man presaged the colourful, banter-heavy MCU films that followed.
It was a decade of transition as Hollywood moved away from star-led projects towards “IP”, in part fuelled by the success of brand-based, long-running film series such as Star Wars and Harry Potter. Meanwhile the heights of the DVD era not only allowed Disney to mine their back catalogue for stuff to sequalise, it also led to us all stacking our shelves with more diverse films, mopping up the kinds of foreign language movies, unseen classics, and niche genre fair that would have been expensive and more difficult to get hold of in the nineties.
It’s been really hard for me to rank these films, to be honest. Beyond the first three (technically five!) it was sort of anyone’s game; a lot of quality, but hard for me to sort it out the way I normally like to do. Ask me again in a couple of months and this might be structured a bit differently!
Anyway, that’s all the preamble, this is supposed to be a simple week. Let’s just go list ten films released between 2000 and 2009.
Tumblr media
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (2001-03): look, I don’t even think it’s cheating. Lord of the Rings – taken as a whole entity – is probably the cinematic achievement of my lifetime, certainly of the last thirty years. It’s astounding that these films where made, when they were, in the fashion that they were, by the people who made them; it’s almost inconceivable that they turned out as well as they did. These are flat-out full-bore masterpieces of the highest calibre. Absolutely nothing whatsoever comes anywhere near them. They’re pretty good.
WALL-E (2008): my favourite Pixar film. Yes, it’s beautiful, and moving, and funny, and clever, and all that; many Pixar films are. But this is about the triumph of the human spirit, about rising from the ashes. And more, it’s a Superman story: it’s about someone who’s just so damn nice all the time, he inadvertently inspires everyone to be their better self. And it’s a love story. It’s damn good.
Zodiac (2007): Fincher’s best film, an incredibly dark and forensic examination not just of a series of killings, but also of the determined – obsessed? – individuals attempting to uncover the Zodiac’s identity. Astounding performances from three future MCU stars, and one of the bleakest, most upsetting murder scenes in history.
There Will Be Blood (2007): in the battle of the dark neo-Westerns of 2007, the (excellent) No Country for Old Men beat this one at the Oscars, but the story of oil man Daniel Plainview is the elegiac champ in my mind. An intimate character piece painted on a broad canvas, it’s a mesmerising examination of one man’s mania. And he drank your milkshake! He drank your milkshake!
Spirited Away (2001): my third-favourite Ghibli film overall and one of the best animated movies of the decade. A surreal fairy tail full of oddball characters and often disturbing visuals, it’s a magical wonder that manages to be suffused with tension and darkness but is ultimately incredibly uplifting.
Hot Fuzz (2007): the comedy of the decade, taking the template established in Shaun of the Dead and perfecting it, both in terms of Edgar Wright’s directorial style, but also in performance and – especially – scripting, with multiple layered gags, references, and call-backs – making this a violent, sweary, live-action version of an Aardman film. Also has arguably the best line of the noughties: “You wanna be a big cop in a small town, fuck off up the model village.”
The Dark Knight (2008): commonly thought of as the moment where comic book adaptations “grew up”, this is a sprawling Mann-esque crime epic where the cop happens to be Batman and the robber happens to be the Joker. Stunningly shot in what would become Nolan’s signature (cold?) style, it’s clever and mature and a ton of fun, even if it’s not quite as clever or mature or fun as it maybe thinks it is.
Moulin Rouge! (2001): a delightfully scattershot jukebox musical that’s like a glitterbomb going off in a student theatre society’s Christmas party. Energetic does not do it justice, it’s a rollercoaster of an audio-visual experience, but one that’s masterfully handled with two terrific performances at the heart of it, anchoring our emotional attachment. Should have won, like, half a dozen Oscars.
Pan’s Labyrinth (2006): another dark fairy tale, as a girl enters a threatening fairytale world that offers dangers and monsters, but is also weirdly an escape from the real horrors – namely the Franco dictatorship and a brutal Captain Vidal. Del Torro gives us sumptuous visuals and gorgeous creature designs, but it’s in its underlying themes and motifs that it really sings.
Munich (2005): Spielberg’s later films – basically anything post-Ryan – often get given short shrift; for one of the most successful directors of all time, he’s surprisingly underrated. This study of violence and vengeance is one of his most political films, and he doesn’t shy away from the horrors inflicted. It’s a bleak watch at times, but it’s in how Spielberg adroitly ties the Munich attack and its repercussions to America’s then-current War on Terror that makes it feel really dark.
Watch this space for the best films from the 2010s...!

may i ask when it comes to marvel comics who are your favorite characters? do you have a preference for marvel or dc comics? if you had to rank your top 5 comicbook characters who would they be and why? what is something you think people misunderstand about your favorite character and/or team? <3
hi jojo! i went to go play so viddy games but i’m back! you may indeed ask!! when it comes to preference it’s probably a close tie? i do enjoy some marvel characters more than some dc characters ( see magneto, kurt , kitty, emma , deadpool, the punisher, daredevil ect. ) you ask such nice questions let’s see if i can give you succinct answers !!
top five favorite comic book characters, in no particular order.
1. magneto / erik : this man tops a lot of people’s lists i’m sure, however i really do love his core character traits and what he stood for & stands for. mainstream media demonizes erik because in my eyes they don’t want the public to realize that activism and toppling current oppressive world orders IS POSSIBLE with effort and willingness of people ( think about the inception that was the hunger games trilogy movies, how they strategically butchered it in a way where it’s core message was skewed and used as marketing , eerily similar to messages in the books ) . originally erik survived the holocaust and i like the message his original jewish creators wanted to send when making him. he is someone who never wants to see his people or any people violently oppressed and killed & movies don’t quite capture it too well ( besides some of the older original x-men movies actually ) but i resonate with him. through love and compassion and a firm hand against oppressors, uniting with people to help formulate and continue to form a better world for everyone is always worth it to me. what people misunderstand about him? portrayals have made him cruel & i think that in ways he is, he’s cold and weirdly detached but he’s also driven by love , intense love & i really wish people would remember that.
2. spider man / peter parker : once again , jewish , poor , for the people , down to earth. peter parker is a light hearted character despite who and what he’s always up against ( i’m not looking at the mcu , i’m looking a little bit at TASM and the original spider man movies. i’m peeking at them ) but i do just love how he doesn’t let the world beat him down, though it’s interesting to look at points in his comics where he IS taken to his limits. he makes me feel safe, i know he’s not real. i’d leave cool things out on my fire escape for him, he has so much genuine kindness and heart, i really adore this character and a lot of his variations ( see spider man 2099 / miles morales / spider gwen / esp 2099 ……. mmm miguel ANYWAYS ) also like parallels with venom too , love venom but imma put him in with pete bc i haven’t read too many of his comics. the mcu has misunderstood this dude a whole lot, but people tend to make him a bit too serious lately, and i enjoy diving into that side of him, but i think peter is genuinely really good at seeing the good in people / seeing ways their lives could be better if nudged onto the right path. also he doesn’t like billionaires.
3. the punisher / frank castle : i’m not a fan of a lot of his cartoon appearances and portrayals to be a cold hearted military man , as he hates cops and the military & the gov. i like his netflix show , i really enjoyed that actually. frank castle lost everyone he cares about and the media surrounding him usually never focuses on how his code makes solid differences / protects people ( except the show. god. i’m emotional. ) anyways i have a thing for characters who are emotionally destroyed but still do good bc that’s the only fucked up way they feel they can still do good. EVERYONE THINKS HES PRO COP OR PRO MILITARY OR ANTI LGBT? HES NOT? HES WITH THE LGBTS , THE GAYS , THE MINORITIES! HES NOT A RACIST EITHER! HE HATES RACISTS HE’LL MURDER RACISTS!
4. comic book scarlett witch / wanda maximoff : romani representation that’s mostly done nicely , i really actually relate to this character a lot , and find catharsis in her. she suffers greatly, probably too much, but she works her way through it, she’s powerful and kind and vengeful and angry and beautiful. she’s wise and confident and loses that and regains it, she reminds me of the wheel of fortune card in my deck, constantly embodying things that should have killed her. once again, i know she isn’t real, but i do relate to her and love to see her happy and winning, she’s brave and strong and i hate her MCU portrayal , truly, but i love her comic book self! god ok. people misunderstand her a lot, esp mcu …….she’s not ‘ i’m tired of being good >:) i wanna be a bag guy now! she’s more ‘ i loved very deeply and i cling to that because i cannot imagine who i will be if i acknowledge that what i loved is gone and i cannot get it back ‘ vs ‘ i can remake myself over and over if i need to , i contain all i need ‘
5. night crawler / kurt wagner: god. ok. his design fucks so severely i want that man to give me a hug , pick me up and spin me around , ok? did you jot that down? we got that? i know he smells nice , i know he does. his smile is so sweet to me , very playful. i enjoy how hard he works to be a good person, how he doesn’t take short cuts or let his past dictate him ( idk what the fuck was going on with his movie portrayal in those early x men movies i watched as a kid ) but in some of the animated shows and def the comics i have fallen hard for this man , i know he’s not real. i know. shh. but yes! the way he has quips too, idk i really enjoy him overcoming odds and projected bullshit he has to face, you and i just 🤝 gotta shake hands here ok we are shaking hands. hm. people think he’s naive or an idiot, they misunderstand his hope and warmth, it comes from a place of understanding hatred and choosing to rise above that, so.
( bonus!! ) 6. lanterns: i dont have a favorite lantern ( i’m lying it’s razor , hal & guy. ) but i love all my mutuals who make the lanterns more interesting than anything dc has done recently. i miss GLTAS , i miss when hal wasn’t reduced to a total dickhead , i love the headcanons that GLS are weirdly ageless and have wonky fashion sense , i love all my mutuals art and stuff i just love it. i loe space adventures i love fucked up shit going on out there in the big old galaxy. i love razor bc of GLTAS and his development, i miss him and IO and i hope he’s doing ok. but yes! this subgroup of heroes ( i also miss when dc didn’t make them a weird military thing and i love reminding people it’s an honor based volunteer service only given to those as highest honor. lol ) omg ppl stop saying they’re the military shut the fuck up theyre gays in space!

SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME!!!!!!! PLEASE SCROLL IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET!
LAST WARNING
This movie really had me tearing up/crying 4 times huh?
1. When Aunt May…. Ya know…. and Peter being comforted on the roof by MJ and Ned. Their love and friendship that those three have for each other is very well shown here. Also Aunt May saying with great power comes great responsibility is a really nice touch.
2. Peter saying goodbye to Strange. Peter was willing to give up everything to save everything, and I think Strange didn’t want to make the spell. He didn’t want to ruin Peter’s life and he didn’t want to forget Peter, because they’re friends. But both of them know they have to, and the respect they both have for each other at the end is really touching.
3. Peter saying goodbye to Ned and MJ. I mean this one is obvious but im gonna talk about it anyways. I straight up could not fathom what it would be like to have to say goodbye to your best friend and girlfriend. Not because one of you is gonna die, but because one of you will forget the other one ever existed. The way they wanted to come up with a plan so they didn’t have to forget was heartbreaking. The final handshake with Ned. MJ saying that she’ll find out who Peter is if Peter doesn’t tell her. The final kiss with MJ. MJ saying I love you and not letting Peter say it back because she wanted him to say it when they’re back together. Her mouthing I love you (i think) to him again before he leaves them. The whole scene was so beautiful and one of the most tragic scenes in the MCU.
4. The scene in the Cafe after everyone doesn’t remember Peter. God, this shit hurt. Peter practicing what he’s gonna say to them (probably because he didn’t rehearse what he was gonna say to the MIT woman). The fact that Peter, for a second, thought MJ was waving at him and remembered at him. The looks that MJ and Peter give each other. It’s obvious that Peter wants to tell her about everything so bad but he knows that he shouldn’t, not yet at least. And, to me at least, MJ looked like she faintly knew Peter, but she could place it or she didn’t know why she would know him. The acting in this scene is incredible and I will literally die if we don’t get a Peter and MJ reunion sometime in the next Spidey trilogy.
In conclusion, this movie was amazing, phenomenal, superior, incredible. I loved basically every moment of it, and HiTop Films is really stupid with his ranking of this movie.

Sebastian Stan Joins Julianne Moore In ‘Sharper’ Con Artist Pic From Apple Original Film & A24
Tumblr media
EXCLUSIVE: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s leading man Sebastian Stan will star alongside Oscar winner Julianne Moore in Apple Original Film and A24’s Sharper, we can tell you first.
Sharper follows a con artist, played by Moore, set in Manhattan’s billionaire echelon. The pic is based on the spec screenplay by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, which was recently named to the 16th annual The Black List. Stan will play Max, a clever conman known for carrying out complicated plans and making away with large sums of money. In the film he’s pulled into another scheme.
Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated Benjamin Caron (The Crown, Sherlock) is directing. Moore will produce alongside Bart Freundlich, Gatewood, Tanaka and Erik Feig and Jessica Switch of Picturestart. Julia Hammer of Picturestart will serve as EP.
Stan is beloved for playing Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His MCU movies which include the Captain America trilogy and Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame have together grossed $7.08 billion worldwide. He recently starred in the first season of Disney+/Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier reprising Barnes; the series’ premiere and finale are ranked among the most-watched for Disney+ at 1.6 million households (3-day) and 1.7M households (5-day) per streaming analytics company Samba TV.
As an actor, Stan has transitioned from the MCU to character-driven stories. He wraps production this week on Hulu’s Pam & Tommy which will come out next year. He also has the film 355 coming out on January 7, starring opposite Jessica Chastain. He also has Fresh with Daisy Edgar Jones which will also come out next year for Legendary. Other feature credits include the Oscar-winning I, Tonya and the Nicole Kidman cop noir feature Destroyer among others.
Stan is repped by CAA, Brookside Artist Management and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
Sharper reps Moore’s second project with Apple following the limited series Lisey’s Story, a deeply personal thriller from creator Stephen King, in which she stars and executive produces. It is currently streaming globally on Apple TV+.
In addition to Sharper, Apple and A24’s feature film partnership includes The Tragedy of Macbeth, the latest film from Oscar winner Joel Coen and starring Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand; On the Rocks, from Oscar winner Sofia Coppola and starring Rashida Jones and Bill Murray; the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner Boys State, which is nominated for two Primetime Emmys; and the upcoming YA adaptation The Sky is Everywhere, directed by Josephine Decker and starring Grace Kaufman, Cherry Jones and Jason Segel.
