uuugghhhhhh, thats like asking me who my favourite kid is! I'm going with Validation. Because it was the first thing not smut I wrote and where I tried out a different type of writing. It's entirely Crowley POV and more of a character study re his fall. I put a lot into it ^_^

Demon Summoning 401 (MCU gone wildly AU)

This was it, the class that the entire cohort had been anticipating since they each received their invitations to study at Shield Academy.  Shield was the only institution in the nation that even offered 401, and its entire program was built around that fact.  401 was where you learned how to summon Extra-Planar beings, known colloquially as ‘demons’, categorized as Class 10.  The ability to summon a Class 10 was not a question of skill or practice, but one of power: you either had it or you didn’t.  No amount of working, wishing, or wailing would change it.

Power wasn’t enough to strike a good bargain, though.  Hence the Academies.  No summoning was ever allowed, of demons of any Class, until the basics had been addressed.  For those able to call the lower-tier demons, this included Basic Demonology, History, Linguistics, Ethics, Husbandry and the like.  For those able to reach the higher levels, far more instruction was required, the lessons increasing in complexity exponentially for each accessible demonic realm.

All students at Shield were able to summon Class 10 demons by nature, but careful nurturing was required in order to make sure they didn’t strike a stupid bargain.  Dying at the hands of an irate demon was the least of the consequences one could incur with a shoddy summoning.

Darcy’s cohort was relatively large, with seven total.  Jane was their scientist, and a member of an older summoning family.  Pepper was their businesswoman, and the first of a new summoning line.  It might have been awkward for her if Peter wasn’t also in their cohort - also the first, but with a far more tragic origin.  He was their class clown, the glue that held them together, though it was a role he happily shared with Sam.  Sam’s line was younger, having originated during WW1.  Helen and Rhodey were their legacies, both with summoning lines so old the origins were largely lost to time.

Darcy was a bit of a mystery, having been adopted by completely vanilla mortal parents.  It was an unusual circumstance, since the summoning families tended to keep pretty good track of their offspring.  Fostering was not uncommon if a child was unwanted.  The mystery was part of the reason Darcy had decided to go through with the whole summoning thing.  Nobody on Earth seemed to want to step up to claim her parentage, maybe she’d luck out in one of the other planes.

Demons were, by and large, significantly better at keeping track of the summoning lineages, with hilarious and occasionally soap opera worthy results.

“I’ve gone over your circles,” Professor Coulson said.  “And I’ve decided-”

Everything froze, nobody even breathed.

“To okay you for summoning today.”

Darcy would have sworn there was an actual breeze what with the way everyone’s breath rushed out of them in a chorus of relief.

“So - who’s first?”

There were three beats of silence, Darcy counted, before -

“If there are no objections,” Pepper said quietly, looking at each of them.  Six clear denials had her smiling softly.  “I’ll go first.”

The circle she had drawn was quite small, modest but finely detailed.  Darcy watched as she went through the motions: candles lit, incense placed, all that remained was the blood - and Darcy winced as Pepper pulled her dagger, annoyed all over again that they were ritually necessary when there were so much easier ways to draw blood - and the incantation.

Pepper had chosen Gaelic as her summoning language, as had Sam.  Darcy and Peter used Latin.  Jane was their lone Ancient Greek summoner.  Rhodey and Helen both used family languages that were otherwise lost to time: the kind only known by scholars and summoners.  A summoning language didn’t need to be dead, it just needed to be something you wouldn’t expect to use in your day-to-day.

Soft murmuring in Gaelic drew Darcy’s attention just in time for her to see a brief flash of cool blue light and suddenly there was a figure standing in the circle.  She was obviously Class 10 from the top of her head to the soles of her feet: while not all of them chose to do so, only Class 10 demons could assume a human guise.

“Well done,” the demon said, smiling fondly down at the summoner on her knees just outside the circle.

Pepper grinned right back.  “It’s good to see you, grandmother.”

The demon folded herself into a cross-legged position, suddenly all business in a way that showed the relation between the two even moreso than their similarly-colored hair.  “Now then, what can I do for you today?  I know this is your first time, so the contract will be short.  You will summon me so we can catch up later though, yes?”

“Under the supervision of an Academy instructor, of course.”

“Of course.”

They exchanged eerily similar smiles.

“If I may make a suggestion,” Professor Coulson broke in.

“You may,” the demon said.

“We’ve got a few potential wild cards in the room.  Would you mind sticking around for the rest of the lesson to assist in case of any emergency?”

The demon narrowed her eyes at him, though the twist of her lips said ‘playful.’  “What will you give me for my aid, summoners?” she murmured.

“Your contract is solely with the one who drew the circle.  I made no summons, I make no bargain.”

“Cautious, clever, and correct,” the demon crooned approvingly, then turned back to Pepper and was all business again.  “It is good to see that you have worthy teachers,” she said, voice warm.  “I will stay for the duration of the lesson, provide aid should any currently in this room be in danger of bodily harm by that which they summon, and in exchange you will call on me again within the fortnight to have a proper catch-up.”

Pepper’s eyes slanted towards the Professor, who nodded.  “Done and done,” she said, reaching across the circle with her bloodied hand to shake on it.  The demon clasped her hand and, with a soft tug that seemed to make the air ripple, allowed herself to be pulled out of the circle.

The duo stood and the demon immediately pulled Pepper in for a hug.

After a moment, they parted, though each kept an arm around the other’s waist.  “Everyone, this is my grandmother, Natasha of the Shadows.  Grandma, this is my cohort.”

Natasha looked everyone over with sharp green eyes, lingering on Peter, Rhodey and - to her private alarm - Darcy.  “An interesting group.”

“Who’s next?” Professor Coulson asked.

Planned Works/Ideas for October

Hello everyone, as I mentioned previously I’ve been working on some stuff. I also have been feeling very inspired as of late and will be writing some more. I wanted to get this October started off right so here is a list of some things that will be coming your way hopefully sooner than later. I don't feel comfortable giving exact dates because as I've mentioned before certain factors can cause my writing schedule to be sporadic (also why I will not be participating in kinktober) Since some ideas are more developed than others his list will be separated into three categories:

The tall, shy, handsome, boy who sits behind you in every class you share has a secret. Like many other people on campus, he was hopelessly in love with you. It began three years ago, freshman year, and every day it only got stronger. Over the years this has led him to do some… questionable things he's not a bad guy by any means he's just an awkward college boy in love. At first, it was innocent just sitting behind you in classes that you shared. He hoped that this would give him some time to gain some confidence to talk to you while still remaining close to you. He really didn’t mean to begin eavesdropping on your conversations or reading your texts over your shoulder, he just wanted to learn more about you before he approached you. But as time went on the worse he got from smelling your hair to following you around campus to lurking your socials to finally finding your dorm room. He told himself that he was just trying to return a jacket you left in class so he racked his brain for all of the information he “gathered” and remembered your room number. It was just supposed to be a quick drop off of the jacket he played out the scenario in his head a thousand times. knock on the door, tell you he picked it up when you forgot it, give it to you, and leave. But, when he knocked on the door it opened slightly you weren’t there but you left it cracked indicating that you would be back soon. The change in circumstances caused him to panic and so he decided to just go in and drop it on your bed as opposed to waiting at your door for you. As soon as he fully entered the room the door closed behind him and after folding your jacket placing it on your bed he goes to leave. Turns out you left your door cracked for a reason, he twists the knob and pulls with all his might but he can’t get it opened. The door jammed and he’s stuck in your room. Before he even gets the chance to panic he hears you right outside the door.

Klaus kills a woman. Unbeknownst to him, this woman was the soulmate of a powerful witch. In revenge the witch curses him vowing that the day Klaus finds his soulmate they will be made immortal but their soul would be removed leaving an eternal one-sided soulmate connection where Klaus is completely connected to them ( can only love and desire them, unable to hurt or kill them, able to see their thoughts and feel their emotions/pain.etc) but they have no connection to him. The witch finally takes the only reverse to the spell to the grave with him and his wife leaving nobody else to break the spell. The story will center around an interesting toxic yet slightly romantic relationship between Klaus and the reader where over years they are continuously on and off again. Klaus does everything to get the reader to love and stay with him and the reader uses this to their advantage. When they’re together its great but when they’re apart things never go well. In the end, the reader can always leave him but he can never leave them so he takes any measure to keep them by his side.

The Cat Owns You Part 2

After returning home from the café Soobin you’re finally able to transform. Now being human you keep up a nice façade for the evening eating dinner and watching television peacefully. Having you around for these few hours has him believing he made the right decision after a while he took you to your room before retiring to his own for the night. He drifts off to sleep happily thinking that he found a simple way to fix his loneliness issue a cute catgirl who resides in the room beside his. Nothing could have prepared him for what would happen a few hours later. Waking up to feel his hands and legs in an uncomfortable position he tries to adjust himself but he can’t, opening his eyes to look he realizes that he’s tied to the 4 sides of his bedpost. Before he can question what’s happening he sees you making your way toward him with the collar he purchased earlier in your hands. You notice that he’s awake but continue on fastening the collar around his throat before positioning yourself to sit on him, straddling his spread body “(Y/N) what’s going on” he asks trying to sound stern but it comes out as more of a whisper as the reality of his situation really begins to set in affecting his body in a way he didn’t expect. “Shhh don’t worry I’ll take care of you” you whisper in his ear sending a shiver through his body. Every second that passes he can feel his resolve fading he knows that he wants whatever is about to happen and soon he won’t be able to say no you know this too. He quickly yet unconvincingly rushes out “ no you can’t do this” causing you to chuckle “ Yes I can, I can do whatever I want you signed the papers” before he can ask what you mean you continue “I own you”

Taming Madness

Hey guys, this is SonicAsura here with another AU. For this one, I decided to dip into Krinkels Madness Combat series specifically his character Hank.

Canonically, Hank J. Wimbleton is an assassin whose character can be jokingly summarized as emotionally constipated with extreme pain tolerance and has a taste for the art of killing plus guns.

In the series so far, not including Project Nexus, he has been Magnified in an attempt to revive and strengthen them. A process that was cut short leaving Hank partially a Mag. This little idea revolves around his Magnification.

An entity that exists outside of the Madness Combat universe has grown significantly bored at the clashes between A.A.H.W and the Status Quo (or Anti A.A.H.W.) The blood red sky plus desolate land only irritating the being further.

This entity wants some change instead of this never ending game of bloodshed and have just the idea in mind. Plucking Mag!Hank from his reality, the altered Grunt is given a challenge of sorts.

Hank will be tossed into a different world and partnered to a single person. His task? Change their fate in whatever way he can but his 'partner' cannot be killed. If it happens, then he will be punished in a neverending death loop and his world gone like candlelight. Hank can decline but nothing in his world will change for good nor worst. An endless tiring cycle.

If he completes the task, then he would be given a key item to stopping A.A.H.W and restore Nevada to its natural un-apocalyptic state.

Hank accepts and is tossed into the realm of his 'partner'. Now our Grunt assassin won't exactly be in the same form. On arrival he's shrunken down to his original size but still has the red stinger arm. He's basically as strong as his normal unMag self. There's a reason to this.

As Hank continues helping his partner, his form will evolve by meeting certain conditions. A natural evolution to his true MAG form if the process wasn't interrupted back in his world. Unlike normal MAGs, he will still have his independence and personality.

The purpose for this AU is to experiment on Hank's character but also possible interactions and results. Hank and the chosen character are bonded down to the very core of their being. Thoughts, feelings, personality aspects and such are shared between them.

In short, Hank is getting some unique character development than just a new form. Here's an example of a MAG Hank. If people want to try their hand on this type of AU, then go ahead. I really like to see what kind of stuff people can come up with!

Now for my version, what characters Hank could potentially be partnered with? Crossovers are usually my thing. I do have a few in mind. For my chosen characters, I'm going with those facing an ouroboros cycle or death.

Shoot To Kill: Tony Stark

The man of iron with a heart of pure silver, Tony Stark aka Iron Man. His death was from using the Infinity Gauntlet to stop Thanos. A preventable fate especially when you have an extra hand that will always go for the head.

(I'm still super bitter at the injustice done to Tony in MCU)

It is here that Tony's path to becoming Iron Man changes. His emotions and thoughts are open to this strange Grunt. Hank's own is on full display to Tony as well. Both are going to overcome a lot of struggles whether it's their enemies, their viewpoints or inner demons.

Hank and Tony are bound during his escape in Iron Man. Yinsen's death allowing our hero to let loose his rage which summons our little assassin in the process.

Cage the Demon: Jak Mar

Yep! The eco channeler of the Demolition Duo, Jak. He is an example of a Ouroboros Cycle, continuously dooming his innocent past to face the horrors of his future. (Also an excuse to have Hank hang on Jak's shoulder for a bit. 😆)

Hank and Jak during the latter's entrapment in Haven City's jail. It isn't a complete summon unlike Tony as Hank can barely interact with the physical realm until Jak becomes Dark Jak TWICE. Unlike the other entries, Jak and Hank have a sort of headstart on bonding. They will however struggle especially when our elvish hero learns more on our Crossling's...less ethical side.

Jak's trust is already fragile as is, especially when some reunions go sour or south. Both are going have to settle their differences and find a unity. Or else, neither of them can truly escape this neverending cycle.

Harness the Lightning: Cole Macgrath

The bike courier turned hero and protagonist of the first two inFamous games, Cole Macgrath. He dies at the end of inFamous 2, sacrificing his life to the stop an ultimate force of destruction called The Beast. Maybe a certain assassin can be the key to changing his fate?

Cole and Hank are bound during the last half of inFamous. Once again, our assassin can't fully interact with Cole. However, he acts more like a silent manifestation only protecting our Conduit hero at certain times. Mainly to stop a dangerous enemy, avoid severe harm or when Cole's Karmic Limit is maxed.

Hank fully manifests after Cole's first encounter with the Beast. These two will clash as the assassin and our conduit hero's morals are greatly differ as trust is thin They'll have to overcome their views if both want to survive the ultimate death.

Current WIPs and Fic Concepts

I promised I would do this yesterday, and then I forgot!!! (I was very sleep deprived). Anyways, here are a bunch of the WIP premises that I have in my 'unfinished drafts' folder. Most have at least a few pages written for them, but I love them all! ☺️💕

- A Santa Clarita Diet AU (Jonsa) Takes place in sunny southern California, where a shitty dinner at a mediocre restaurant turns into a huge problem for Jon and Sansa when Sansa's heart stops beating. Although she seems fine, Jon is flabbergasted several days later as he watches his wife- who alphabetizes their pantry and refuses to let anyone wear shoes in the house- rip the throat out of one of the sleazy new partners at their law firm, eating half of him before anyone processes what's going on. Hilarity ensues as Sansa's inhibitions and filter disappear, Arya ropes an extremely confused Gendry into helping figure out what the hell is going on just because he moderates the zombie forum on reddit, and Jon tries to deal with the fact that the woman he loves more than anything is now a humanitarian. He really could use a drink. (This one is actually mostly complete, but i need to refine a few things- i really love it. It's as gory and irreverent as the show, so viewer discretion advised, but it's a BLAST to write).

- A Thor/MCU AU (Jonsa, Steve Rogers/Sansa)- Asgardian prince Aegon is banished to Midgard after one too many arrogant decisions, and is promptly hit by a van containing Dr. Sansa Stark, Dr. Barristan Selmy, and Margaery Tyrell- two astrophysicists studying wormholes and Sansa's best friend and pseudo-intern. Marg yells at him, he yells back, Sansa tases him, and Barristan didn't sign up for the kind of heavy lifting that getting a 200+ pound slab of muscle into the back of a van takes. And then Aegon's younger brother, Jon, shows up, in the middle of an identity crisis because, apparently, he's adopted. He wasn't intending to stay, but he's rather drawn to Dr. Stark and her brilliance, and against her better judgement, she starts to trust him, and maybe even like him. This story is in about three parts so far- the first is based on 'Thor' and the second on 'The Avengers' and are fully Jonsa, and the third started as a family bonding story between the Stark kids and Tony (Ned and Tony are second cousins, and Ned was really supportive of Tony in rehab without expecting anything in return), and accidentally turned into a Steve Rogers/Sansa Stark story, which is a pairing i am HERE for. A lot of this one is written, but it needs some fill in before publishing, although it's one of my favorites that i've written to go back and actually read.

- A Star Wars AU (Jonsa) where Sansa and Arya are Alderaanian princesses who are off planet when Alderaan is destroyed- Sansa as a senator and Arya as a pilot, both working for the rebellion, and jon is a smuggler who does not know how all of these people got on his ship and why two princesses are sassing him. His copilot, Tormund (yes he's a wookie), thinks it is hilarious. I started this one just the other day, and it's already thirty pages long, most of them involving Sansa and Arya sassing people. Dany is a leader in the rebellion, Roose Bolton is the emperor, and Barbrey Dustin is a disgruntled former jedi trying to live in peace on a remote planet until another Stark crashes into her life and harangues her into teaching again.

- A witches/magic AU (Jonsa) where the Starks run an apothecary and spellcasting supplies shop. Jon had been completely in the dark about magic before his mother confessed to being born into a family of witches. He finds himself traveling to her hometown, trying to understand her world more clearly, and what it means for him. On the way, he develops something of a crush on the red-headed shop clerk who brews the best headache potions in town. Featuring lots of magical shenanigans, this is one of my favorites in the folder :)

- A 24 hour diner AU (Jonsa) where Jon is a local mob boss, and Sansa works the late shift at Seaworth's diner to buy textbooks for the PhD she's working on in botany. Sansa's running from memories, and Jon has a soft spot for the red-headed waitress who always remembers how he likes his coffee.

- An East of the Sun, West of the Moon AU!!! (Jonsa) This is one of my fav fairy tales, and of course i couldn't resist Jon as a direwolf striking a deal with the starks!

- A Roomates AU (Jonsa)- Arya, Jon, Tormund, and Sam have been renting the same house together off Winterfell's campus for years- but when Sam moves in with his girlfriend, they need one more person on the lease. Sansa, about to relocate to Winterfell for grad school, finds out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her and that her housing plans have fallen through, all on the same day. Needless to say, she's a bit upset when she calls Arya to relay the news. There's a simple solution here, if Arya and Tormund can stop teasing Jon about his crush for five minutes. (any excuse to write tormund and arya roasting jon, tbh).

- A Fae AU (Jonsa)- When Sansa, a baker living in the city, washes her face in an enchanted spring on a camping trip, she gains the sight as a result. Suddenly able to see the fae underworld all around her is disorienting and terrifying. Sansa tries to conceal it- afraid of what might happen if the fae around her know that she can see them- but slips up, and catches the attention of Jon Snow- one of the lords of the unseelie court.

- A nuclear winter wasteland AU (Jonsa)- (?? I don't even know how to describe this premise, haha) where the Starks are living and running the Free Winterfell settlement in Siberia after a worldwide nuclear meltdown. Before the fallout, Sansa was one of the world's preeminent researchers in plant genetics and pathology, and works at the settlement to create newer, disease and radiation resistant crops to distribute for free to other settlements, aiming to break up the monopoly that Lannister Corp has on the market. Jon is a scavenger, searching throughout Siberia for his sister Rhae who disappeared several years previously. When he runs across Arya Starkovna, helping her fight off another band of radiation ravaged scavengers is just instinct- he doesn't think twice about it. In thanks, she brings him to the Winterfell settlement, where her brother Robb offers Jon sanctuary and resources, in exchange for serving as a bodyguard for Sansa when she travels to other settlements. Sansa is not particularly thrilled by this arrangement, but given that multiple parties seem to want her dead, she doesn't have much of a choice but to accept his company.

- A reincarnation AU (Jonsa)- of sorts. Robb is an archaeologist who finds a strange set of runes at a site up north, and immediately calls in Jon Snow- a historian and expert in said ancient language, as well as an old university friend of Robb's. When he arrives though, Robb shows him their most valuable finds- two mysterious ice blocks, with what appear to be perfectly preserved bodies from over a thousand years ago. No one could ever have imagined that either of them were still alive, but when the ice melts, revealing two very alive girls, the entire crew is instantly buried in NDAs, and given an assignment from the Westerosi government to figure out what the hell was going on. Sansa and Arya wake up, extremely confused about the world they live in, trying to adapt and mourning all that they've lost, even as the people around them wear familiar faces.

- Soulmates AU (Jonsa)- (Yes, another one, I love this dumb trope) Trauma surgeon and medical resident Sansa Stark is having a very bad day, and ends up meeting her soulmate during what she thinks is a mugging gone wrong. Fortunately, he’s not the one mugging her, just an intervening bystander, but she ends up slightly shot nonetheless. Sansa’s fretting about bleeding on the upholstery in his car, but Jon is a bit more worried about her injuries than the blood stains. He’s a bit confused when she threatens him if he takes her to a specific hospital, nearly has a nervous breakdown when she insists on doing her own triage, and is very charmed when she insists on ice cream after taking pain meds at the hospital. On Sansa’s part, she’s a little less concerned about being shot, and a bit more concerned about whatever weird first impression she’s making to her soulmate while high as a kite on pain pills. (this one just needs some tweaking to be postable- I'm not sure if it's going to be a oneshot or a series, but i love what I have already)

- A Demon/Archivist AU (Jonsa)- where Sansa works in the university's historical archives in Oldtown, and is learning to restore old texts with her fellow student and friend, Alleras (Trans Sarella is an amazing concept). When Joffrey Baratheon shows up with a pile of old books from his family's library to donate, Sansa is eager to get away from his sleaze, and accidentally takes one of the books home with her in her rush to leave. Unbeknownst to her, it's more than it appears, and when she leaves it open overnight, she accidentally summons forth Jon- an ancient, powerful, and extremely annoyed demon who is under a curse, and now hers to command. As Jon and Sansa try to get used to this new normal, the Lannisters (unaware that Joffrey had donated the tome) try desperately to find the book and it's owner, wanting Jon's power for themselves, and putting Sansa in considerable danger unless she can figure out how to break Jon's curse. Fortunately, she's a pretty good researcher, even if Jon is initially a bit of a grump. (This is based on a total wish-fulfillment mary-sue type premise for something I wrote when I was thirteen, and I revisited it and wanted to see what it would look like if i took it very seriously, and i am really enjoying it so far. It's a love letter to the terrible, heartfelt writing i was doing in middle school that created the foundations for my writing today, and so much fun).

The one that I am MOST excited about though:

- A Pacific Rim AU!!!! (Ned/Cat, Gendrya, Braime, Sansa/Jon Umber)-Twins Sansa and Robb Stark have always been completely in tune with each other, and when your parents are Jaeger pilots and your mother invented the neural handshake, what option is there but the Jaeger academy? Sansa studies to be an engineer, but ends up copiloting the Jaeger 'Winter Wolf' with her twin brother, after they lose Ned Stark to cancer. When Robb is ripped out of the conn-pod and killed by a kaiju while he's still connected to Sansa, she barely manages to kill the creature before stumbling back to shore, traumatized, grieving, and swearing that she'll never pilot again.

Unfortunately, the Kaiju don't stop just because Sansa does, and when the end of the world is imminent, Marshall Catelyn Stark orders both her daughter and former pilot Jaime Lannister (who lost his twin and copilot, Cersei, several years previously) back to Hong Kong for one final stand. Forced to face both her demons and an irate Arya, furious that Sansa had abandoned the rest of them after Robb's death, Sansa and Arya have to figure out how to pilot Winter Wolf together before the apocalypse comes for them all.

Featuring Marshall Catelyn Stark (commander of the Hong Kong Shatterdome, inventor of the neural handshake, former Jaeger pilot, and BAMF), Sansa x Jon Umber (Yes i know it's a rare pair but i've always kind of loved the idea of them, even though we know so little about him), Kaiju parts dealer and smuggler Petyr Baelish, bickering kaiju biologist Dany and theoretical mathematician Jon Snow, LOCCENT officer Theon, lots of snark, lots of angst and heartfelt conversations, and a weird friendship between snarky-grieving-asshole Jaime Lannister and kind-quiet-grieving Sansa Stark, who are the only two people in the world who know what it's like to lose a copilot and a twin in the drift.

RIP to my abandonned fics

This is just me pouring one out for fic ideas that I’m never going to finish writing. If any of you fancy taking any of these ideas out for a test drive, knock yourselves out. It’s not like I’m using them.

During Tony Stark’s time at MIT he decides that to get the full college experience he needs to start a shitty garage rock band, so he puts ads up around campus and the people who answer are the OG MCU Avengers line-up. (I don’t remember now who was going to play what instrument, except that I’m fairly sure Thor was supposed to be the drummer, which is just proof that this idea could never have worked, because obviously Thor would play Keytar.)

Captain Cold gets set on fire during a LoT mission and Heatwave is way too into it.

TV Constantine persuades Chaz to have bad-dom style unhealthy BDSM sex with him in order to summon a demon they need to speak to, but Chaz will only agree if he gets to prove to John he can treat him right after.

Tim Drake is a shop assistant at Dinah Lance’s florists. Bart works at a coffee shop and keeps nearly getting fired for drinking the cinnamon syrup straight from the bottle. Kon works at Roy’s tattoo parlour. When Tim comes in to get some piercings done, Kon realises that this is the coffee-addict customer Bart’s been crushing on, and tries to set them up, but ends up falling for both of them in the process.

When criminal law professor Bruce Wayne goes missing from his college campus, it’s up to his kids, and the deranged Ethics professor they’re not supposed to know he’s dating, to figure out what’s going on. But some of these clues look a little too much like red herrings, and can they even trust a man who claims Joe Kerr is his real name?

At the height of prohibition, some priceless jewells on loan from to the Gotham museum go missing and private security guy Jason Todd realises he makes the perfect fall-guy. Fortunately Wayne Foundation boys stick together and Officer Grayson has a recommendation for the best private dick in the city. And sure Drake’s a little squirrelly and a lot weird, but he’s Jason’s last hope.

Tony doesn’t want a kid. He’s pretty sure he’s the last person on earth who should be trusted with a child in fact, but when he realises SHEILD are keeping a super-strong wall crawling four year old in a cell because they don’t know what else to do with him, what can he do except take the boy home with him? At least he’s got JARVIS to help him co-parent.

When Wade Wilson finally got a cure for the worst of his memory problems, he was expecting to get back a whole lot of mundane memories, maybe a few assisinations he’d forgotten committing. What he wasn’t expecting was to find out that apparently in all the months when he could barely remember anything day to day, he’d somehow managed to seduce the Mutant Saviour himself. Now he just has to figure out how he did it, and whether Nate even still wants him.

Getting recruited to SHIELD at seventeen was weird enough. Clint getting sent undercover to a shitty highschool in the middle of nowhere to recruit an escaped child supersoldier experiment calling himself Deadpool is a whole new level of weird. Especially when it turns out, he kind of likes his mark.

When he realises that Stiles is never going to make sensible decisions about who he sleeips with, Derek decides it’s his job as a good alpha to take control of Stiles’s sex life. He just wasn’t expecting to enjoy the control so much.

A Teen Wolf x Nailbiter AU. Beacon Hills is notorious accross America because despite being barely big enough to support a high school, it’s produced fifteen of America’s worst serial killers. When bodies start turning up in the woods, it’s up to Scott and his friends to figure out what it is about their sleepy town that produces monsters before the people they love get caught in the crossfire.

Rorschach doesn’t know what he is. When he’d asked his mom, back when he still small enough to try and reach out to her, before he learned that she’d never reach back, she’d just said “A monster.” Mostly he doesn’t care. His abilities are useful, and the work he does proves over and over that humans the real monsters. But there’s something about Dan, about the trust he shows, the way he smiles after a hard patrol, the way he’s always fussing and worrying over him, that makes Rorschach wish he was just a little more human that he is.

Everyone expected Nate to leave the Shatterdome when his co-pilot died, but he’s detirmined he’ll get back in a Yaeger one day. He takes over training the new recruits, always on the lookout for someone drift compatible, but it’s not until he catches the base’s scarred half-mad janitor doing drills with a mop that he feels that connection. It turns out Wade’s like him, a former pilot left too damaged to get back into the fight, but Nate’s sure if he can just persuade the higher-ups to give it him a try, Wade’s the second chance he’s been looking for.

The last thing Strange does before Thanos kills him is to send Tony’s conciousness back in time. He wakes up the morning after Obie’s death with a decade of memories that haven’t happened yet and absolutely no idea how to turn this into a plan to save the world.

If people are interested, I might turn some of these into not!fic, and if anyone wants to use one of these sets up as a prompt feel free (but please credit me).

COMMUTATUS // ENCHANTRESS FUSION VERSE

verse: → alec lightwood // commutatus (v. — enchantress fusion) verse status: divergent VERSE, open for interaction important!: divergent verse. Compliant with the world-building of historical Shadowhunter Chronicles, & crossed over with the DCEU / DCTV.

There are eight living Warlocks who claim to be of the same age or older than the memory of Jonathan Shadowhunter. Eight, & then another being both similar & different all at once. THE ENCHANTRESS has walked the earth long before the Nephilim, & will likely continue to do so long after they’re gone. Because her power was so strong, she was sealed away lest she add to the problems caused by the demons overrunning the world from THE VOID. During the Crusades, a totem was found by one of the followers of JONATHAN SHADOWHUNTER. It’s markings were eerily similar to those of the runes they had learned from the angels, so the totem was tucked away until one day it broke in battle.

The power it unleashed was astounding, triggering an earthquake2 sources would record as being “on last day of Holy Week, on the very resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.” It caused widespread destruction and many casualties - the fearsome trembling of the earth lasted for a year, one of the Silent Brothers would write of the incident.

After so many centuries of imprisonment, the Enchantress found herself too weak to sustain her life on her own. Merging with the body & soul of a dying Shadowunter, she compromised her continued existence by melding her powers to his body before she died. This process killed the Shadowhunter - One ALEXANDER.

Realizing that this could create complications with the relations between Shadowhunters & Downworlders, Alexander elected to allow them to believe him dead. It was nearly a century before he allowed himself to be seen again - & only after he had perfected a glamor strong enough to hide the scars of his faded runes, & found a suitable warlock mark he could keep consistently manifested with little enough effort. He has never spoken of his past - there is only one soul that knows the truth about who he is, & BABA AGNEZIESZKA is fading fast.

Now, Alexander spends his time watching over the Shadoworld from the sidelines. To the world, he’s nothing more than a warlock, & that’s an identity he fights to keep. No one can know the truth, because the truth would mean revealing how unstable he could become.

verse specific headcanons

He goes almost exclusively by ALEXANDER in this verse.

Alec’s abilities in this verse are based on DC’s ENCHANTRESS. As such, he’s not a warlock though he works to pass as one. He has A FALSE WARLOCK MARK in the form of patches of apparent snakeskin over his body, but his abilities reveal him for what he truly is. Most notably, he does not need to cast a portal to teleport & he can walk through walls. A warlock’s wards have no effect on him, as he is not a demon. Instead, he is classified as a much older & divergent form of Downworlder - the only one of his kind, by all records.

He can additionally banish & summon demons.

This verse is both an AU within the universe of TMI/TID, & a mild crossover with the DC universe. some differences are present, depending on the canon-context within threads. This verse will be my default for interaction with muses within the MCU & DC, as well as TWIN INTERACTIONS

Part 13: Aftermath

It dawned on them in the morning that there was no more denying it. They were bonded, and though it stlll scared Bucky, he also felt these sense of calm wash over him. Still early morning, they stayed in bed whispering secrets about their pasts, fears, and hopes. Whatever he held against her was fizzling away.

Eventually they had to get up, as the AI alerted Adelasia that she was going to be needed for a briefing. Little did Bucky know, that she had already predicted this, and she could feel the fear coming off him. She knew better than to confirm his fears or feed into them, she smiled the whole way through acting like she had no idea what the mission was going to be.

Whether or not Bucky believed her, she couldn’t tell as he was acting like he didn’t know a thing. A part of her hoped things wouldn’t always be like this, that the fear would subside with time, then again she wasn’t being honest with him out of fear herself. She hated being a hypocrite, but she didn’t know how he would react if he found out that she had already known.

From her divination, she felt that the mission was going to be heavy. There was a kind of darkness that loomed. An uneasy state fell in the pit of her as she entered the briefing room. Wanda could feel it too, and it didn’t help that only people in the room were those considered as highly powerful or dangerous. 

Carol and the guardians were on the hologram lines, their faces looked in absolute disarray. For a moment the room was quiet, but the sense of fear was present. It was Strange who broke the horrid silence, “what is it?” Breaking from their trance Carol spoke, “this is something terrifying. You may want to sit before I explain.”

A planet two or three jumps away from earth had sent a signal to the guardians asking for help. Some demonic underworld creature had began brainwashing the people of this planet to destroy themselves. By the time the guardians and Carol arrived there was carnage everywhere. The creature was still on the planet though and it was getting stronger as more civilians continued to kill each other. Because this demonic thing was sourced in magic, it continued to return every time they killed it. 

Without a second thought Adelasia agreed to be on the first craft out to the planet. She had a good idea of what creature this was and why it was attacking the innocent. Of course Wanda waited no time in volunteering herself as well. Thor nodded in agreement, and with a sigh Strange agreed. Adelasia knew that  Stephen was a skeptic at heart, he always needed answers before heading into something. However, she had explained herself enough through her thoughts for him to understand the severity of this mission. 

This mission was a secret of sorts, Carol would take care of the paperwork. She didn’t want word to spread about the atrocities that had occurred as they would be too vile for anyone reading the documents to stomach. The collective would leave within the hour after the briefing ended. 

Quickly as she could, she headed to her room to gather somethings and reassure Bucky she would be back soon. What she wasn’t expecting was to see him already prepared with her things, “I think we both knew this was coming. Please just be safe,” his voice was quiet. She knew he was aching and if he could have he would have begged her to stay, but he couldn’t. With a kiss she promised him that they would have the world and then some when she got back.

He watched her leave, fear in his mind and soul. “My dear boy, you underestimate her strength. She’s lived before you and fought many a battles. You forget I will be besides her too,” a frown became a scowl, “then go and do that. I just got her in my life, I can’t lose her.” He spoke into her empty room, “we’ll have a talk about manners when she returns.” Tenebrae sneered.

Perhaps this was the test needed to prove how strong their souls were. Maybe it was the universe giving them a cruel joke. It didn’t matter to Bucky, he would wait. There was no time to wait for Adelasia, her hands trembled a bit as she prepared to face a real life horror movie. The guardians had advised them not to eat before getting there, and to keep a rational mind.

Even with the preparations, nothing could have prepared a pure hearted witch for what she was now witnessing. There were so many, no one, not even children were spared from the violence. The bodies lay splayed out in every which way around empty fields of grasses and trees. “There’s no time to stand here and grieve, that monster is around somewhere continuing it’s reign of terror. Let’s go.” Stephen said with a shakiness, but an anger in her refused her from leaving so quickly.

Kneeling next to the carcass of a child she whispered a prayer for their souls to travel safely into the next life. Tears welted in her eyes, and she knew she would kill the bastard creature. Thor had noticed this gesture and waited for her, he felt her actions admirable.

Meanwhile they searched for the creature, on earth Bucky stayed in her room. He’d become invested in knowing her past as a means to understand her better. In a drawer, he found old newspaper clippings dating to the 1800′s, pictures of her in clothing pertaining to the victorian and edwardian era. Dried flowers and vials of sweet scented concoctions. Underneath all this, he found an old journal, one with a lock and key. 

His heart raced, he knew it wasn���t right, but he was eager to know what she had written. Had she only just began this journal? Had this been from her past life?  The key laid beneath a bed of dried flowers, with great care he opened the book and began to read.

The group of mystics and magic had found the bastard creature. Tenebrae made it’s presence known as Adelasia soon became enveloped in a drape of darkness, her eyes turning all fully black and her voice carrying a loom over it, so that all could hear. The creature was seeking revenge for being held in chains as a toy for a lord from the underworld. It wished to kill anything in it’s path as it searched for its ultimate goal, the palace of said lord. 

It was on path to another village of people. The group could begin to hear the cries of agony and fear. The witch’s soul felt utterly weak as they could hear pleas from more children as well as slashes and violent acts. They had reached the dreaded thing though and it would pay for the massacre. 

Holding down the horrid creature without being possessed was a draining task. It was necessary though. Wanda and Stephen used their strength to hold the damned thing down, using Adelasia’s sword Thor made a deep large gash on the horrid demon’s body. Using her incantations and power, she then ripped it in two as Carol had tried before. She then summoned the underworld lord that had created the monster, the lord swore to contain its creatures with more caution and promised only take in the souls which had been destined from birth to the underworld. There was no way to bring back any of the killed though, it was out of the dark lord’s powers.

They’d killed the beast, they’d ensured that no one else would get hurt, but none of them could bring them back. Sure, she had prayed for their souls, a part of her still clung to a hope that they would be revived. It was a stoic, quiet, and scarring ways back to earth. All of the mystics felt one another’s pains, they’d all been burdened with heavy responsibilities, with abilities just as powerful and without remorse of condemning.

Bucky continued in her room reading through the yellowed pages of paper that held stories which pieced her past together. Unlike him, she never had her memory wiped, she lived with every awful, sinister deed done against her. He wished nothing more than to rip the book to shreds and demand to know why she kept these horrors with her. 

Word came quickly that they had returned from the trip. Of course he waited at the landing gate, however he was welcomed to nothing. “She’s at the medic bay old boy,” Tenebrae whispered to him. A sense of fear filled him and he ran without concern to the medical department of the compound. He wasn’t sure what he was to expect, but then he saw them. Their eyes looked soulless and their bodies pale, their shoes covered in blood and some of them covered in a dark substance. There were doctors everywhere and he heard words that had once being used on him, words to coax them back from something. 

Her eyes, the ones green like a lush forest were now rimmed red and tired. Her gaze fell upon him. Then suddenly she released her pent anger, sadness, and disappointment in a horrible cry. The doctors looked to see him stood there, their glaring gazes neared him pushing out of the room, “you must leave now Mr. Barnes.” The doors shut on his face as he continued to hear her cries. What had happened? What did they see? What more did she have to suffer with? His soul felt the pain she did, he could feel her hurt. It was a burning ache like bones collapsing into one’s self. He needed to help her, he needed to be there.

A hand fell on his shoulder, “Bucky I know why you’re here. Carol has the explanation, c’mon I promise they’ll all be okay.” It was Steve, his old pal, the kid who he’d helped once was now trying to help him. When the briefing ended and they saw the recordings the pain was understood.With the same anger in his soul Bucky went into his room and destroyed anything he had. How cruel could the universe be, how unforgiving, “hasn’t she suffered enough?! Haven’t we suffered enough!” He yelled at the ceiling before falling to his knees in tears. 

He didn’t remember how or when he fell asleep, but he woke to her holding him tightly. They were on the floor of his room. She looked like an angel when she slept, she looked so young and careless. His movements must have woken her, “we’re okay Bucky. We’re safe.” Adelasia then nuzzled herself into him, no sadness in her voice or raspy from the cries he heard earlier. Their souls were entwined though, he could still feel the dull ache of something she was holding out from him. This wasn’t the time though, for the while he was just glad to hold her.

Dark/ Morally Ambiguous Irondad fics that I want to read but nobody’s written or there aren’t enough of

No Powers, Serial Killer Tony AU where Tony kidnaps Peter to use him as a hostage so that he won’t get shot at and it basically turns into a road trip across the country that would be like a typical father-son bonding trip if it wasn’t for the fact that Tony sometimes goes out at night and comes back covered in blood. Plot twist - Tony is actually Peter’s bio dad and had resorted to kidnapping and running away with his son so that no one could separate them again.

That comic where he’s evil and there’s some weird version of extremis? Superior Iron Man? AU where Peter wonders why his mentor has suddenly gone super weird and wishes he’d go back to the way things were before. Tony just wants his protege to be safe, even if that means controlling everyone else to do it.

Tony’s not actually evil he just has to battle with the burden of knowing he was born looking like the devil and what that means for him and his future. To make things even more complicated in his internal struggles, after finally more or less resigning himself to the fact that he’s just part demon and he just has to live with that, he has a son, Peter who has wings like him except they’re white and he looks instead part angel and Tony wonders how can he be part demon and have an angelic son? CidHighwind does what he wants. Sephiroth does what Mother wants. SHIN-RA soonregrets everything because Cid Highwind is a hell of a lot better at rewritingthe social order than Avalanche is. Kakashisuborns ROOT en masse, Obito is stupidly overpowered and homicidal but it’sokay because Kakashi is playing damsel in distress and distracting him. TheSenju and the Uchiha are all really confused by these kids, there are far toomany mistaken identities, and Konoha gets founded much earlier than in canon. Meta

20.10.          Look theInnocent Flower: Orochimaru gets the Hat instead of Minato because insteadof working for Danzo he creates his Baby-no-Jutsu (the same one that producedRogu and Mitsuki) and that’s how Orochimaru accidently turns Tenzo into theOrochimaru-and-Tsunade lovechild while field testing some gene-splicingadoption techniques. Sarutobi is so delighted by all the babies he namesOrochimaru his successor without any further debate. Konoha proceeds to becomea somewhat androgynous, gender-fluid utopia full off affectionate, friendlypeople who only want you for your body. Orochimaru refuses to allow hypocrisyin his Konoha and loyalty to ones comrades is not only encouraged, it’senforced. Meta

A/N: This is for the sweet @flatbottomholland 's Marvel Writing Challenge (apologies for taking so long). My song was Never Be The Same by Camila Cabello. While this is not a songfic, the fanfic was heavily influenced by it. This fic takes place in the MCU but where angels and demons exist. It is after The Avengers but before Iron Man 3. I should also let you know that this is my first time writing a gender-neutral reader and writing a Tony Stark fanfic, so I hope I did alright! I will be adding at least one other part to this story as well, so no worries.

       Tony was finally ready. He'd gotten all the ingredients and done almost all the rituals to summon as the weird, old tablet called it a "being of mighty, awesome power" with "wings of light." Bruce warned him it wouldn't go well, but Tony's curiosity needed satisfaction now.        He took a deep breath in, then spoke the final words, “Oh guardian of spirits, warrior of the heavens, I call upon you to show yourself here on this earth. And please don't make me repeat those ridiculous words.” Tony knew he sounded like a complete idiot, but thankfully, no one else was in his house at present.        He waited five seconds, ten seconds, fifteen seconds. Nothing happened. Tony looked back at the inscription translated on his screen, searching for errors.        All of a sudden, a resounding crash came through the ceiling to his workshop. The superhero jumped out of his skin, aiming his repulsors at whatever the hell just fell through his roof.        A loud groan of pain pierced through the dust-filled room as Tony edged toward the crash site.        “What in heaven's name just happened?”        The dust finally cleared to reveal the source of the voice: a being Tony could only describe as... "An angel, seriously? I should've known.”

       Your superiors told you choosing him as your first human was a bad idea. They said he grow up to be too dysfunctional and too egotistical for you to be of any help to him. Too broken, too imperfect. Not to mention the factor of his status as a "hero." The chief angels called you crazy. They thought something had gone wrong with you. "You’re making it harder on yourself," they said. The more flawed, the more "heroic" the human charge, the more difficult and more time-consuming a guardian angel's job became.        You could care less. Everyone had flaws (including angels, despite what your superiors said), some more than others. That didn't justify not protecting them from evil or helping them in their times of need. Besides, the angels who told you such things were a bunch of stuck-up bums who couldn't see good if it hit them right in the face.        That being said, you felt less than amused and more than a little pissed to find yourself sprawled out in the middle of Tony's workshop after surviving a hellish fall through Earth's atmosphere.        Your body screamed in torment so your mouth could not resist letting out a guttural groan of pain.        “What in heaven's name just happened?” you asked, sitting up while rubbing your aching muscles.        You'd been sitting in heaven, minding your own business when you suddenly felt yourself falling through the atmosphere with no way to stop.        Your powerful energy protected you from burning up as you fell, but in the process made you black out from the drain on your systems.        You saw a figure inching closer to you. Your blurry vision had a hard time making them out. But as the figure drew closer, your mind went into panic mode when you recognized them as your first human, Tony freakin' Stark.        He gaped at you then said in a disappointed tone, “An angel, really? I should've known.”        You shot him an offended look, then snapped back, “So sorry to disappoint the great Tony Stark. I'll try harder next time I get involuntarily summoned to Earth.”        And that was the start of your fascinating visit on Earth.

Two months after the summoning:        “Can I see your wings again?”        You glared at the persistent scientist. “No. You plucked a feather out of one the last time, and it hurt.”        “Oh come on, don't be stingy. You grew it back.” He flashed a boyish smile your way, causing you to scowl even more.        “If I hadn't been worried about hurting you, I would've smacked you in the head with that wing.”        Tony put a hand to his heart in fake offense. “I give you food, I give you shelter, and this is the kind of treatment I get?”        You sighed. “I'm grateful, but you're the reason I'm down here in the first place, Tony. Excuse me if I don't feel bad for wanting to smack you in the head just one time.”        Tony furrowed his brows then walked over to you and put a hand on your head. “Do you have a fever or something? Because you're a bit grumpier than usual.”        If it were any other person, you might've snapped. But you knew Tony. His words conveyed concern, despite the terrible phrasing he used. He wasn't wrong, either. You had been more on edge lately, for more reasons than one (but you wouldn't tell him that).        You took a step back and turned your head away from Tony, avoiding his penetrating stare.        “I am, I am running low on energy, that's all. Being away from home takes a toll on me,” you tried reassuring him, yet still not meeting his gaze.        A rare moment of silence passed between you two before your charge replied, “Alright Clarence, don't get your halo in a twist. You should go get what we humans call some "food." It's SO good, and you're just not you when you're hungry.”        Tony's sassy words caught you off guard, and you looked back over at him in shock. But before a retort could leave your mouth, Tony tossed a small object towards you. Your reflexes reacted in an instant and caught the object in your hand. Let's say you were less than shocked when you read the label: Snickers.        “You couldn't resist, could you? You must think you're SO hilarious.”        “Because I am.” The cocky billionaire's lips formed into that infamous smirk of his before he turned around and finally went back to tinkering with another suit.        You breathed a sigh of relief as he did so, the built-up tension leaving your body.        You see, the last few months with Tony had been eventful. You found out that he had discovered a long-lost Divine tablet, the primary purpose being to summon an "all-powerful being with wings of light." Of course, Tony with his insatiable curiosity, couldn't leave it alone and ended up summoning you, his guardian angel.        You were furious. You couldn't protect your human charge like before. Following a superhero around with no invisibility would not work out for multiple reasons. You refused to talk with Tony out of anger for a few hours. Of course, that didn't last, though. He poked and prodded you for answers, and you eventually gave in, not having the will or patience to stay silent.        You only told Tony what he needed, however. That you were his guardian angel and that you needed to get back to your home sooner rather than later. You didn't tell him the reason for the urgency. He didn't need to know that you ran the risk of being killed by a demon in your weakened state the longer you stayed or that you could be cast out of the heavens for associating with your charge.        “I still wanna see those wings of yours again,” Tony interrupted your thoughts with the same request he had the first time around.        “Tony, I already told you no,” you admonished the persistent scientist, crossing your arms in front of you.        He said nothing in reply, just giving you a carefree smile as he started walking out of his workshop.        A suspicious feeling crept over you at his lack of protest, so you quickly followed Tony up the stairs and into the living room.        “What are you up to, Tony? You're not gonna bug me about not letting you see my wings again?”        “No.” He didn't even turn around to look at you, still walking towards the back of his house.        “Tony...”        The mischievous genius pressed a few keys on a window, which opened it up to the porch outside. He stepped through it before showing you another less-than-innocent grin, then walked toward the edge of the porch.        You followed after him, stepping out onto the porch. The moment you did so, though, Tony faced you, gave you a little wave, and took one giant step backward onto nothing but air.        Your heart lurched in your throat as your legs immediately went into action, and your wings flashed into existence. You jumped off of the porch with hands reached out in front of you.        The man was already on his way to crashing into the ocean below, so you brought your wings in more as you dove and increased your streamlining.        Tony looked utterly relaxed as he fell, a smirk on his lips when he saw you racing after him. But his proximity to the water should've scared him.        Your heart pounded in your ears as you strained your arms reaching for Tony. You mustered up one last burst of energy, snatching up one of Tony's hands in yours just before he hit the water.        “What in the world were you thinking, Tony Stark? You could've gotten killed!” you shouted.        “I wanted to see your wings,” he said as if that was the most normal thing in the world.        “Besides,” he continued in a confident tone, “I knew you'd catch me. You're my guardian angel after all.”        For some reason, a warm feeling spread through your chest at his words. You began to feel slightly embarrassed again, so you hauled Tony up into your arms bridle style so he wouldn't notice.        “Looks like you're my angel in shining armor, too.” He winked up at you.        Your mouth twitched upward in spite of yourself. “I'm still angry with you, despite your attempt at charming me.”        “Then the smile you had was just my imagination.”        “Definitely.” With that final word, you took Tony back up to the house, that warm feeling still fluttering in your chest.

Four months after summoning:        The metallic stench of blood wafted up your nose as you lay on the pavement, battered and bruised.        “Pathetic angel. Did you honestly think you could defeat a demon like me in your weakened state?”        The demon stood over you and stabbed his jagged blade back into your wounded shoulder. A raw scream of pain left your mouth, but you still struggled to free yourself from the demon.        The evil being gave you an unimpressed, disgusted look. “You still fight, bird-human? Why?”        Despite the piercing agony you felt, you still managed to croak some words at him, “Because I, agh, have something worth fighting for. Also, I really want to try some, damn it hurts, shawarma. I've heard great things about it.”        The truth was, you were trying your best at keeping the demon away from Tony and the bystanders. The superhero didn't need an invisible enemy attacking him in the middle of his fight. He was battling some domestic terrorists who used alien technology to generate fear and take advantage of innocent people, so he needed all of his attention focused on them.        He had also trusted you enough to let you come on the condition that you stayed away from the main battle. You were upset about that, but he hadn't ever seen you fight before. So you agreed (begrudgingly) to staying behind. Thank goodness he did, or people might've gotten hurt. The demon may have been after Tony, but they didn't care about other humans in their way. They were considered collateral damage by the devil.        The demon growled. “So you're stupid as well, angel. Can't you see that humans aren't worth your life? They are insects compared to you, yet you protect them.”        You gave him a bloodied, smug smile. “Mmm, I'd get bored otherwise, gargoyle.”        “You won't be so witty as I kill the other humans and then your human as I make you watch.” The rusty blade was removed from your shoulder, making you bite your lip in an attempt to keep from screaming again.        The demon raised his sword above his head, activating its Hellfire. Your eyes widened, and your heartbeat sped up. There was only one reason that he'd activate his power: to cut off your wings.        You tried to crawl away, but he stepped on your knee, and you heard the sickening crack of bone breaking.        You cried out, but you still crawled in spite of the agony perforating your body. You had to, for Tony.        This time he stepped on your other knee, effectively trapping you on the rough concrete.        “Prepare to-”        “Do us all a favor and stop with the terrible monologue. You just don't have the voice for it.” The familiar, pleasant voice of your charge interrupted the demon.        Your head snapped in the direction of the voice to find Tony standing a few feet away from you with his helmet off, his right repulsor aimed directly at the fiend's head.        The demon froze in shock, dropping his weapon.        The first thought that came to your mind was how in the world could he see and hear the demon? The second and more prevailing thought that came to you was Tony's safety.        You managed a hoarse warning. “Tony, get away!”        The hero kept his ground, actually stepping closer to the enemy. “Can't do that, Y/N. He's hurt my guardian angel.”        He gave you a wink before shooting his repulsor straight at the demon's face without blinking before they could react.        All that was left of his face after the blast consisted of his horns. The body promptly turned into dust, as all demons do when they die.        “You're such an idiot.” You sighed, before you fell into a coughing fit, golden blood leaking from your lips.        He rolled his eyes in feigned annoyance. “The idiot that just saved your life.”        With that, he scooped you up in his arms, careful not to jostle your injured body.        “My human in shining armor, how sweet...” you said as you drifted off from the pain, safe in the arms of your hero.

Six months after summoning:        “You aren't gonna dance, Y/N?”        You flashed Rhodey a dismissive smile.        “No, I'm good. I'm a terrible dancer anyway.”        The lieutenant colonel gave you a skeptical look and then said, “Or maybe it has something to do with the person you want to dance with is currently taken.”        You crossed your arms and avoided Rhodey's gaze. “Has absolutely nothing to do with it, absolutely nothing.”        The lieutenant colonel raised his hands in a surrendering gesture, doing a terrible job at hiding a smirk. “Whatever you say, Y/N.”        He walked off to talk with some of the other guests, making you breathe a sigh of relief. You didn't need another person bringing up feelings.        Lately, your mortal body would react in the most uncontrollable ways just thinking about Tony. The symptoms got worse whenever you were near him. You didn't feel like eating. You couldn't sleep even though your human body needed it. Your words would fail you, your brain becoming a jumbled mess. It felt like someone had injected you with a drug that wouldn't leave your system no matter what. Honestly, you considered not going to this charity ball because of the upheaval your body was going through.        It started around the time Tony saved you from the demon. After he snooped around in angel lore, he found out that the primary duty of a guardian angel was protecting their human from demons. Researching further, the engineer figured out your weakness and decided he'd create some technology using the biological components of that feather he took from you in case you needed backup. The scientist didn't tell you in so many words, but you knew he did it because he cared about you.        He visited you in the private SHIELD hospital room he'd gotten you almost every day. He'd crack jokes, update you on finding a way to get you back to heaven. It felt so nice to be cared for, especially by someone you'd spent so much time doing the same for. You got to see that beautiful heart of his firsthand, feel his hand on your shoulder, have him looking at you instead of through you. Your head denied feeling anything, but your heart screamed at you that you were and that there was nothing you could do.        “Care to dance, Y/N?” a boyish, yet smooth voice interrupted your dangerous thoughts.        Your heart fluttered in your chest, recognizing the voice of the very man you had just been thinking about.        You slowly turned around, finding Tony holding out his hand with that famous flirtatious grin of his adorning his lips.        “Of, of course.” You gave him your best smile, hoping he didn't notice your nervousness.        “Good. That saves me from having to drag you onto the dance floor.”        You shot a glare over at him, but the smile still on your face betrayed how you really felt. You snatched up the millionaire's hand in yours and guided him to the dance floor, praying he wouldn't notice your sweaty palms.        Tony took you by the waist and drew you in closer, gently swaying you to the mellow beat of the music.        However, once he pulled you closer, you felt a gush of fear and panic overcome you. These feelings, they weren't yours. They were Tony's.        You gave him a look of concern, noticing his paling skin and the sweat dripping down his face. Soon you began to feel a slight tremble in his hands. You knew what was happening, and it'd be worse in front of other people.        Your smile turned into a worried frown. “You're in no shape to dance, Tony Stark. I'm taking you outside.”        Not giving him any time for protesting, you dragged him outside into the garden by the enormous hall.        “What are you doing? Y/N, I'm fine.” Even as he said it, you felt his trembling get worse than it was before.        You took a deep breath and took him in your arms, not caring how embarrassed you were at the moment.        “Tony, you're not alright. But I'm here for you until you're ready to let me go. I got you, nothing can hurt you here,” you mumbled into his ear, rubbing a hand in circles on his back.        A moment of silence passed before he spoke in a shaky voice, “One of the reporters started talking about the Battle of New York, asking me all sorts of questions about what happened. I felt fine until I looked down at the dark floor and I was back in that wormhole, falling to my death.”        “I'm here to catch you, Tony. I won't let you die.” You held him a little tighter.        “Take a deep breath in, one two three four.” You felt his chest rise in response. “Then let it out, one two three four.” His breath tickled your ear as he let it out.        For ten minutes, you continued with this exercise, encouraging Tony to breathe and holding him in your embrace. Only once you felt the tension in his body release and his heart rate slow back down did you let your charge go.        “Whadda ya say we ditch this party and go have some real fun? Stop playing it safe and lose control?” Tony interjected, wanting a break from all the stress of the party.        Part of you wanted to tell him no, knowing those feelings brewing inside you would only grow stronger each moment you spent with the mechanic.        The better part of you told you your feelings didn't matter at this moment. Tony needed a distraction to help him recover, and you'd be damned if you'd abandon him in his moment of need.        You took your hand in his and simpered. “Let's go do just that. I've been itching to get out of here ever since I had someone sneeze on me...twice. I've never been more disgusted.”        Tony cringed in sympathy. “Agreed. What do you say about going on a night fly together? Haven't seen those gorgeous wings in a while.”        Your eyes turned downwards for a moment, slightly flustered by his offhanded compliment.        Then you met his gaze again with a twinkle in your eyes. “Why not? They've been in need of some stretching.”        A look of fake shock crossed the millionaire's face. “What, you don't do angel yoga?”        You rolled your eyes with a smile on your lips. “Funny, very funny.”        Letting your hand go, Tony took a mock bow. “Thank you.”        You resisted another eye roll, taking a step away and holding out your arms, gesturing for him to climb in them. “I can fly you to your house if you want, be faster than driving.”        “I don't know; you said someone sneezed on you. I don't need a cold, can't make as many suits,” the man ruminated, putting a hand to his chin in thought.        An unimpressed look formed on your face. Tony knew you couldn't get sick, being an angel. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime offer, Tony. Take it or leave it.”        He slowly wrapped an arm around your neck and draped himself into your waiting arms. “You know I can't resist being in the arms of my angel in shining armor.”        Instead of annoying you, the nickname brought about that familiar fuzzy feeling you'd been trying to avoid earlier.        “Not that nickname again,” you half-heartedly complained, hoping he didn't notice your lack of committal.        With that, you took off into the night sky and set out for Tony's house. The air might have been cold, but your heart was warm as you glided with Tony in your arms, a childlike smile that could light up the world adorning his face. For one moment, everything was right in the world.

Eight months after summoning:        No. It couldn't be. You couldn't believe it. There it stood, though, the Mark of the Damned. The pain the Mark gave you served as another confirmation.        You could pretend that you didn't know why it was there, but both your mind and heart knew. You had violated the most sacred rule of guardian angels, falling in love with your human charge.        You thought avoiding Tony would help, but it only made it worse. You missed him terribly, and it broke your heart to see him with such a sad look in his eyes.        “What is that, Y/N?”        You damn near jumped off the floor in surprise, forgetting that you had left the bathroom door open.        “Nothing you need to worry about, Tony,” you replied in a dismissive tone, pulling your shirt back over the Mark.        You saw the man cross his arms in the mirror, very clearly not satisfied with your lackluster answer.        “Deflecting is my style, not yours. A burn isn't "nothing." You're hiding something, and I wanna know what.”        You sighed, pinching your nose in frustration. “Tony, knowing might make you do something stupid or dangerous. I can't tell you.”        The hurt in his expression made your heart lurch. “Can't tell me or won't?”        You bit your lip to keep tears from falling and tried to leave the bathroom. The emotions in the room were suffocating you. However, Tony stepped in front of you and blocked the only exit, effectively trapping you.        You kept your gaze straight ahead, knowing if you met those beautiful brown eyes that you'd fall apart.        “Please move, Tony. I want out,” you pleaded, desperate to get away from him again.        “No, you can't keep running away from me, Y/N,” he replied tersely. “I'm not leaving till I get answers.”        You crossed your arms, trying to provide yourself with a kind of comfort. “What if I told you that if I revealed why I have this Mark, you'd be in danger from my superiors? Beings who are infinitely more powerful than me?”        Tony scoffed. “I've fought angry gods and homicidal aliens before. I can take on a few self-righteous halo-wearers.”        You finally looked over at him, a desperate and sad look in your eyes. “No, Tony, it's not the same. They can erase your memory or cause great injury to you. Not to mention that your technology won't work on them; they're too strong.”        You could tell that Tony didn't look the least bit swayed or bothered by what you just said.        “Does it look like I care?” he said in a matter-of-fact voice. “Just because your job is to protect me doesn't mean you can stop me from protecting you. I wanna know who hurt you.”        You broke eye contact again and looked down at the floor. Telling him would almost certainly reveal your feelings. You didn't want him to find out, but you couldn't half-ass the explanation or tell him a white lie. He wasn't stupid, and you weren't the best liar.        A moment passed before you let out a shaky breath and dived right into the explanation, Tony's expectant eyes on you. “It's called the Mark of the Damned. You get it for disobeying the most binding Guardian Angel rule.”        “And what is that?” His stare seemed to be boring into your soul at this point.        Tears welled up in your eyes, but you managed to keep them in before you said in a small voice, “Never fall in love with a human.”        You omitted the stipulation that it was falling in love with your chosen human that got you in the most trouble. You were hoping to keep Tony from finding out about your feelings for him a little longer.        “…I see. Is it the mailman who dropped packages off here as an excuse to see you or the person who kept flirting with you at the charity ball?”        You bit your lip again and shook your head. “No, Tony. None of them. Think closer to home.”        Tony asked in a strained voice, “Is it Rhodey? Because I could see why.”        “No, Tony. Not him.” You finally looked up into those warm brown eyes of his, shocked by the pain you saw hiding in them. “Who's the person who never gave up on trying to get me home? Who's the person who told me to let go of control and enjoy life? Who's the person that took care of me when I nearly died? Who's the person that risked their life for mine against an unknown enemy?”         Your lips stretched into a bittersweet smile. Then those tears you'd been holding back started pouring from your eyes like rain from storm clouds. “You see, I could try to run from you, but I realize now that it's useless. Being with you has changed my life, and I'll never be the same.”        Tony stood there in shock, finding himself speechless (which was rare).         Your heart pounded in your ears, your body shaking. After a few seconds, you couldn't take it anymore. You ducked under one of Tony's arms and started walking in the direction of the front door.        However, just as you reached out for the door handle, you felt his calloused hand grab your wrist and spin you around. Before you could shout out in surprise, your lips were covered by the touch of another pair of lips. Your eyes bugged out of your head for a moment, not believing that it was Tony kissing you. Your brain couldn't compute.        The man pulled away before you got a chance to respond in kind. Then he laughed a little at the bug-eyed expression written on your face. “I thought you said no more running away, Y/N.”        The shocked expression on your face melted into a joyful smile, momentarily forgetting about the danger. You replied in a tearful voice, “Yeah, I know. I'm a nervous, confused ball of energy right now, okay?”        Tony raised an eyebrow. “Confused? How can an "a being of mighty, awesome power with wings of light" be confused?”        You let out a nervous laugh. “Being suddenly kissed by someone will do that to any being, powerful or not.”        He stuck his hands in his pockets and tilted his head in puzzlement. “Does it really surprise you that I would like you back?”        “Yes, it really does,” you said in a resigned manner. “You've known me less than a year, Tony. You're a human; I'm an angel. I could get you hurt.  Besides, part of me hoped that you didn't like me back. It would've made leaving you easier.”        Tony opened his mouth to refute you, but then your last words registered.        “Leaving you? What's that supposed to mean?”        You backed away from Tony, walking toward the front door.        “The Mark is burning, Tony. Those superiors I told you about, they're coming to take me back to the heavens. I have to stand trial for my crimes.” You attempted a happy smile, but it turned into a bitter one. “And I can't let you be near me when they do.”        “What do you mean by that?” You saw Tony take a step towards you, probably planning on stopping you. However, you couldn't have him doing that. So you raised your hand and used what little power you had left to halt his progress completely.        Tony made an effort to move forward but found himself unable to do so.        He gave you a look of disbelief and betrayal. “This is how it is, then. You'll leave, and you won't let me protect you.”        “I'm your guardian angel, after all, not the other way around.” You sent him one last smile with one final tear gleaming in your eye. Then you stepped out of the millionaire's house and flew up into the sky, not once looking back.        You enjoyed the feel of the breeze through your wings, knowing it would most likely be the last time you experience it. Almost as if on cue, you felt a great power surge, and warrior angels appeared in front of you with weapons at the ready.        “Do not resist, Y/N,” one of them commanded, “Or things will end-”        “Badly for me. Yes, I know.” You sighed in annoyance. “I'll come willingly.”        You held out your hands, waiting for the handcuffs.        They gave you a skeptical look, then one of them clasped the handcuffs around your wrists in a cautious manner. If that deems me guilty, then so be it. If loving another is what kills me, then I'll die gladly.”        You were a bit dramatic, but you needed their focus on you. The pain you'd go through didn't matter, despite your fear of it. You'd do anything to keep them from hurting Tony. Besides, what better way to keep them distracted than by telling the truth?        “So be it, Y/N of the Guardian Angels,” the Judge replied in cold, apathetic tone. “With your blatant disregard for the rules and complete lack of penance, I find you guilty of all charges. Your punishment shall be banishment from Heaven and the pain that the fall shall bring about.”        No sound could be heard as the warrior angels grabbed you again and guided you over to the Banishment Gateway. You felt the icy coldness of fear creeping in your veins, but it wasn't nearly as powerful as you expected it to be. That warm feeling of love Tony gave you countered the fear's effects, made you feel safe.        Even as you felt yourself being thrown from Heaven, fading out and burning as you fell through Earth's atmosphere, you knew that love was all worth it in the end.

There are eight living Warlocks who claim to be of the same age or older than the memory of Jonathan Shadowhunter. Eight, & then another being both similar & different all at once. THE ENCHANTRESS has walked the earth long before the Nephilim, & will likely continue to do so long after they’re gone. Because her power was so strong, she was sealed away lest she add to the problems caused by the demons overrunning the world from THE VOID. During the Crusades, a totem was found by one of the followers of JONATHAN SHADOWHUNTER. It’s markings were eerily similar to those of the runes they had learned from the angels, so the totem was tucked away until one day it broke in battle.

The power it unleashed was astounding, triggering an earthquake2 sources would record as being “on last day of Holy Week, on the very resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.” It caused widespread destruction and many casualties - the fearsome trembling of the earth lasted for a year, one of the Silent Brothers would write of the incident.

After so many centuries of imprisonment, the Enchantress found herself too weak to sustain her life on her own. Merging with the body & soul of a dying Shadowunter, she compromised her continued existence by melding her powers to his body before she died. This process killed the Shadowhunter - One ALEXANDER.

Realizing that this could create complications with the relations between Shadowhunters & Downworlders, Alexander elected to allow them to believe him dead. It was nearly a century before he allowed himself to be seen again - & only after he had perfected a glamor strong enough to hide the scars of his faded runes, & found a suitable warlock mark he could keep consistently manifested with little enough effort. He has never spoken of his past - there is only one soul that knows the truth about who he is, & BABA AGNEZIESZKA is fading fast.

Now, Alexander spends his time watching over the Shadoworld from the sidelines. To the world, he’s nothing more than a warlock, & that’s an identity he fights to keep. No one can know the truth, because the truth would mean revealing how unstable he could become.

He goes almost exclusively by ALEXANDER in this verse.

Alec’s abilities in this verse are based on DC’s ENCHANTRESS. As such, he’s not a warlock though he works to pass as one. He has A FALSE WARLOCK MARK in the form of patches of apparent snakeskin over his body, but his abilities reveal him for what he truly is. Most notably, he does not need to cast a portal to teleport & he can walk through walls. A warlock’s wards have no effect on him, as he is not a demon. Instead, he is classified as a much older & divergent form of Downworlder - the only one of his kind, by all records.

He can additionally banish & summon demons.

This verse is both an AU within the universe of TMI/TID, & a mild crossover with the DC universe. some differences are present, depending on the canon-context within threads. This verse will be my default for interaction with muses within the MCU & DC, as well as TWIN INTERACTIONS

WIP Update 22 Jun 2022

A reasonably productive week as I push forward on my deadlines!   I touched 4 fics (3 WIPs & 1 new work) for a total of  2229 words.  @psychiccatpanda   and I posted the sixth chapter of our WinterIronHawk ‘accidental demon summoning’ collab fic.  I also posted a fluffy Stuckony ficlet for to fill squares for my @stb-bingo  and @buckybarnesbingo cards, and the next chapter of  Never More to Go Astray over on Ao3,  while here on Tumblr, I  posted an excerpt for an upcoming chapter of the same fic  for last Friday’s @flashfictionfridayofficial  prompt and a @stb-bingo prompt,

I’m sitting at 9 active WIPs  (with a couple of maybe TBCs)  with my current   deadlines being the Steve/Tony/Bucky bingo, which wraps up the end of this month, as well as my A Warm Light ‘zine fic, which is due on the first.    I  got my @starkbucksbingo - card (event open for signups thru today!) and the  @tonystarkbingo  which is open for signups through the end of June.  (Yes - I like collecting bingo cards!)

On the crafting side, I have one Stuffed With Character commission slots open for July at the moment - am pretty busy with commissions & prepping for cons!

This is the  WinterIronHawk ‘accidental demon summoning’ fic  @psychiccatpanda and I had So Much Fun with!  We ended up with seven chapters of Tony  and Clint and Bucky shenanigans - kicking off with Ty as an Awful Boyfriend  before bringing in a couple more members of the gang! Chapter 6  posted last Friday and we’ve got 1 more coming - so stay tuned!

A Warm Light Zine - Due 1 July

I got accepted as a writer for  A Warm Light Zine - dedicated to 2012 Avenger era Stony and coming hopefully sometime this autumn!  I was assigned the 2012 canon-compliant category for a 2-5k fic.  While I can’t share much about it here, I do want to at least keep track of my word count.  I think I’ve got my first draft finished at roughly 3500 words - just need a beta to look it over.   There’s a few bits that are semi-self-plagarized and I’m hitting  multiple 2012 Avengers tropes along the way.  I hope it’s reasonably well-received.

Steve | Tony | Bucky Bingo Round 2 [STBB R2]  (Runs thru 30 Jun 2022)

Twelve fills, and two WIPs.  Taking advantage of the One Fill, One Bingo opportunity, and might get a Column G  bingo as well.  Will have to lean hard into this now that I’ve got my AWL fic pretty much complete. 

* B4 - Working Out -  this came from a Bucky Barnes Bingo server party:   Binging Avengers Exercises -   the team posts their workouts online and modern!Bucky spends entirely too much time watching the channel - especially Captain America and Iron Man.  I banged this out late last week - it’s sitting at 446 words and will probably get posted early next week.

*  N2 - AU: Western  - crossover with MWAPB  Next Door Neighbors  – I have a decent idea for this one  (semi-inspired by a recent re-read of  Laura Ingalls Wilder A Long Winter)   and finally got some actual fic words down.  It’s sitting at 690 words and is maybe a third to halfway  done…?

* N3 - FREE  -  Filling this prompt with Chapter Five  of  Never More to Go Astray  - my Stuckony MCU/Star Wars fusion.  It came in at  1083 words and  I posted it this morning. 

* O4 - Lazy Sunday Morning  -  Pivoted on this, combining with my BBB Soft square and wrote a fluffy Stuckony ficlet during the BBB Discord party.   A Fruit Dispute came in at 357 words and was posted on Monday.

*O2 - “A Mind at Work”  - I wrote an excerpt to fill this square and last week’s  Flash Fiction Friday prompt  [#FFF157 Need More Space]  that is intended to be part of Chapter Six of  Never More to Go Astray  - assuming I can get it stitched in and completed in the next week  😬  The excerpt came in at 284 words and I have another 245 kicking off the chapter. 

Finally wrestled my One Fill, One Bingo badge fic  into submission:      I’m combining    B5 - “Aliens, again?”, I5 - Lifeguard,  N5 - Barbeque,  G5 - River Rafting, O5 - Wakanda into   Ain’t No Party Like a ‘Saved the Universe’ Party   Avengers + Guardians in a partying mood = a huge headache for T’Challa.  It’s not one of my best works, but hopefully a couple of y’all will enjoy it.  It will post sometime next week.

On other creative fronts:  I have a  a Gritty in progress with Argoman, and another Gritty in the works. I currently have 1 July slot available.  Am also gearing up for a classic monster/horror con in October and a  superhero con in March - so need to build up stock for both.
