Reading some crossover fanfics with Mcdanno and needing a little help visualizing some heights and - damn, Danny is going to get a crick in his neck looking up at all these people lmao. Gave everyone the same body type to focus on height alone, except for Danny (and Steve!) 's children. Now I can really see how every time any of these characters hug Danny it's like *engulf the Danno*

Domestic Ship Meme! McDanno Edition

I’m just gonna do this instead of asks because there are only a few ships I could do it for and only one I want to answer right now anyway. And I’m numbering because I’m an ISTJ and we don’t do bullet points.

1) Who reaches out to the neighbors? Steve. He’s the more extroverted of the two, but it’s also his neighborhood. He would introduce Danny around.

2) Who remembers to buy healthy food? Steve, though Danny’s diet improved a lot as he got older.

3) Who remembers to buy junk food? Danny, because he still has favs that he’s not gonna let go of.

4) Who fixes the oven when it breaks? Steve. He is the most mechanically adept, though Danny would sit on an upside down 5 gallon bucket while he works and hand him tools.

5) Who waters the plants/feeds their pets? They do this equally. Both have a strong sense of responsibility to anything in their care and would divide these chores up.

6) Who wakes up earlier? Steve. Early morning is when he runs/swims because he learned that early on from prep school through SEAL training.

7) Who makes the bed? Danny generally throws the blankets into some semblance of straight when he wakes up, but Steve makes it properly later.

8) Who makes the coffee? Danny. Danny is much more caffeine addicted than Steve is. Danny will drink tea as well.

9) Who burns breakfast? OK, in early canon, Danny was a shit cook. But he actually worked at learning and by series end, he was a far better cook than Steve. Steve loves Danny’s cooking but if he is only cooking for himself, food is only about fuel to survive and he puts little effort into it.

10) How do they let each other know they’re leaving? If Danny is leaving, he will go find Steve, tell him where he’s going and when he will be back. Danny only knows Steve is going to leave because Steve will ask, “You need your car?”

11) How do they greet each other when one of them gets home? “Hey, Babe.” For both of them. That’s pretty solid in canon.

12) Who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolate more often? Danny. Steve is better about big events, but Danny is the romantic between the two.

13) Who picks the movie for movie night? Steve tells Danny to pick. Then one of two things happens. A) Danny offers several choices that Steve shoots down and then Steve picks or B) Danny picks, they start to watch it until Steve gets bored and changes it.

14) Their favorite kind of movie to watch? Steve prefers action movies, Danny prefers sci-fi.

15) Who first suggests a pillow fort? If the kids are around, Steve. If it was just the two of them...Danny would suggest it as a joke or sarcastically and Steve would not rest until they had built one.

16) Who builds the pillow fort? Steve, while Danny mocks him about it.

17) Who tries to distract the other during the movie? If “distract” is a euphemism for sex, Steve all the way. Danny only does it if he really doesn’t like the movie and wants to turn it off. If we’re talking about who talks during the movie? Danny.

18) Who falls asleep first? Generally, Steve. Danny carries a lot more emotional worry and weight in life that he has to unwind before he can relax enough to fall asleep.

19) Who is Big spoon/Little Spoon? If they are fully spooning, Steve is Big Spoon but that is really only because Danny is so much shorter. However, if they are in a “one laying on their back, one on their tummy” position in bed, Danny is on his back and Steve has is head on Danny’s stomach. Sitting, Danny snuggles under Steve’s arm (again, canon) but their height difference play a role in that too. I believe Steve prefers to be the one snuggled vs. the snuggler, but his size makes it harder.
