OKAY SO BASICALLY

(THIS IS JUST A SUMMARY SO IF ITS SHIT IM BLAMING IT ON THAT)

This au is the result of an IMMEDIATE reveal

So! (Again)

The birthplace scene goes as usual, Hollow looks back, spots Ghost, then follows PK out of the room

BUT

As soon as PK closes the doors and Hollow realises they're leaving for good, they panic bc they don't wanna leave their siblings behind, they thought they'd be going back for them

So they run back and start banging on the door, bursting into frustrated tears once they realise that they can't get it open

This OBVIOUSLY makes PK realise that Hollow isn't hollow, and he reasons that OF COURSE the only vessel to make it to the top is alive, that's the only way they'd have the necessary initiative to climb up!!

As the god of mind, he has the power to gift intelligent thought to previously animalistic minds, and similarly, he can take things away.

Usually messing with a person's memory is a very delecate process, as he risks taking away the wrong/too many memories.

However, with Hollow, that's exactly what he wants to do. He erases all of their memories, the stress of which causes them to pass tf out.

At this stage, Vessels are soft, undercooked, and if he's careful, PK can essentially carve a mouth into them, and give them a voice (ik this makes zero sense pls suspend ur disbelief for now lmao)

Maybe WL helps somehow idk but I definitely want her there (I've kinda been shoving her to the side in my other AUs so I wanna give her more of an active role here)

When Hollow wakes up, the first thing they see is their parents. This is their first memory.

To erase any possibility of Hollow's memories of the abyss returning, PK ceases all void experiments and gets rid of anything and everything to do with the void. Hollow cannot know their true nature, lest the horror of their origins be revealed.

A few days later, the prince of Hallownest, child of the king and queen, is introduced to the public

Growing up Hollow, although able to speak, preferred to use sign language to communicate, explaining that speaking and making noise feels "wrong." They were commonly told to "cheer up" as a child, not noticing that when they smiled, they p much only used their eyes while their mouth stayed completely neutral. Eventually, when they hit their teens, it became a big enough insecurity that they'd sit in front of a mirror for hours perfecting their facial expressions.

They also have constant recurring nightmares full of accusing whispers that sound oddly familiar, but they can never put their finger on where they heard those voices before. And every time they wake up, they feel inexplicably guilty.

On their 18th birthday, there's a ceremony during which they're given the king's brand by their father, which legitimises their place as crown prince. It's less of a "you're definitely going to be king one day" bc PK at this point expects to rule for as long as he physically can, and more of a "I trust you with my kingdom" kinda thing.

After this, Hollow's nightmares start to become more vivid, and one night, they dream of the door to the abyss.

Recognising the area to be in the ancient basin, they decide to investigate because these dreams feel SO familiar and they feel like if they can find this door, the reason behind their nightmares will FINALLY be revealed (or something. Lol)

SO they sneak out in the middle of the night, and once they find the door (bc lbr it's not difficult to find lmao) they open it and as soon as they step into the room, they are bombarded with the same voices they've been hearing in their nightmares their whole life. They grow and grow in volume until they've shoved their hands over their ears in an attempt to shut them out, and manage to catch sight of the end of the platform. This sparks the memory of their sibling hanging over the edge (though they don't know that, all they see is a VERY familiar looking child) and this spooks them enough to trigger their fight or flight response AKA they teleport for the first time. Into open air. They collide with the ground, hitting their head and knocking themselves out.

They wake up at the bottom of the abyss, surrounded by the corpses of their long dead siblings. And all the memories, as deeply buried as they are, come rushing back.

Ok so what about an au where Hollow doesn't know they're void and find out in. The worst way possible.

Chapter 3

Now this is going to be a long post because there’s a LOT of new characters and oddities for me to share. You better set aside some time for this one.

Believe it or not, I pretty much remember who is who based on the dialogue. (Look, it was bound to happen after playing through this game literally a dozen times as a kid.) Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Sunkern is Pidgey and Magmar is Seedot!

For Team Tasty, we have Natu as Swellow and Wailmer as Wurmple. Which makes this extra hilarious:

This is this first ever inventory from the Finneon Market! Does anyone know where you normally pick up the Miracle Chest? Because I’ve never seen it before. (Granted, I never did the harder dungeons like Zero Isle.) I ultimately bought the pure seed and heal seed.

And then we trigger the arrival of the adorable brothers! I can’t wait to see who they are...

The team stumbles upon the kiddos, striking up a conversation with a good samaritan who promises to help find their lost item! And who is this shady benevolent character?!

Oh. Oh this is beautiful. With Blizzard, the boss fight is gonna be a cinch!

An entire line for a measly ‘t. Nice.

So here’s something neat! I found three Pokémon at the Crossroads that let you view the randomizer settings, the program credits, and the art credits!  I’m not sure if these Pokémon are set or if they were also randomized, but it’s a neat feature nonetheless.

A quick look at Team Glee before we kickstart the mission. We have Geodude as Togepi, Nuzleaf as Ledyba(?), and Carvanha as Politoed(?).

Ack! Not Meganiu!

We find out our Mt. Bristle equivalent is Everlasting Bolt-hole. (Maybe this chapter should be “The One with the Large Hole.”) The first floor had the most incredible soundtrack btw.

The first Kecleon Shop! (This is yet another item I’ve never seen before?) The white text in the bottom right corner doesn’t show up as well as it did originally so: the gold box in the center is Lost Loot. Priced at 9999!

This is what I mean about the vast majority of items being sticky in a dungeon. This will kill me someday, I guarantee it.

Upon reaching Level 12, Andrea tried to learn Nightmare. Without any sleep inducing moves, it’s pretty much pointless. I declined the move.

Wacky floor arrangement aside, here’s an interesting item I didn’t even know had art for it: the raffle tickets from Spinda’s Cafe! (You may need to zoom in to see it.)

I took the L. It only seemed fair.

So, for the first time ever, I returned to the Guild after failing a mission. And I discovered loads of new dialogue along the way.

I don’t know why the game makes the day turn over before you can try again. In-world, it just doesn’t make any sense. Gee, I guess I should be glad Sandshrew has the civility to put his petty scheme on hold and wait for us.

He comes and goes as he pleases until one day you finally get the courage to confront him on his drifter habits. Unexpected confessions spill out. A/N: I haven’t written something for The Mandalorian in a long time but i just had this idea for a while and i wanted to actually try to execute it. Idk if this came out good but i think it’s still sweet. I hope someone enjoys it :)

You never knew when he was coming into town.

It would happen pretty much in the blink of an eye. You’d shut down your store for the day, retire to your home, then he’d be there, in the middle of the village, bright and early. The Mandalorian kept no schedule it seemed but his surprise visits were always welcomed by you. 

He’d make it a point to stop at your store first. He never really bought anything, just browsed the fabric and clothing you had to offer. The Mandalorian seemed to appreciate your craftsmanship, always taking time on his stay to ask about your newer items or what your plans were for your next collection. Your shop was modest but it helped bring in some kind of income which was very valuable as the fate of the galaxy hung in limbo.

You built up some kind of rapport with the masked man but feelings have been shifting within you for a while. You didn’t really understand how it was possible. You had begun falling for a man that never even gave you the courtesy of saying goodbye. But at the same time, the hours you would spend chatting meant everything to you. It felt so good to confide in someone as a life as a solo storekeeper could be quite a lonely one. He also seemed to be no stranger to loneliness as a man roaming the galaxy, taking odd bounty jobs. Nowhere to really call his own. 

A deep, deep part of you wished he would call this village his home. He seemed to enjoy it here, evident by his numerous stops. When he’d come and go from your shop, he was always bringing back new treasures. The woman down the road would be testing a new stew recipe or the jewelry maker at the end of the block had talked him into buying something. Most of the time, he’d just give the items to you, claiming he couldn’t resist the shopkeeper but had no use for the trinkets. The pseudo-gift giving was a little ridiculous to you but it couldn’t help but fuel your burning crush. You always accepted and wore whatever the Mandalorian presented. 

Yes, you two definitely had formed a relationship over time. You didn’t know really what to call it and you two never seemed to want to speak about it but it was no secret that it was there, and you were a bit thankful for it. No matter where he had gone or how long he had left for, you were always there to welcome him back to the village with open arms.

As many times before, the Mandalorian arrived unexpectedly one beautiful, clear morning. He was hovering around your shop, seemingly waiting. His armor shined so loudly in the daylight, it was nearly blinding, but you appreciated how powerful he was. He may show you his soft side in the village but you’d heard plenty about his hunts. If the truth was even half as alarming as the gossip, you were impressed he could have such a gentle side. 

“You’re early,” you called out, pulling your shawl tighter around you as you walked towards the passing bounty hunter. He stopped dead in his tracks upon hearing your voice. 

“It would appear I am,” he said, letting out a breathy laugh. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize the time.”

You came to stop right in front of him. You peered up at his helmeted face. You certainly couldn’t see anything through that insane gear but some part of you still felt him staring into your eyes, deeply. Instinctively, you fiddled with the necklace resting on your lower neck. The charm was a piece of some dark crystal. You didn’t know what it was and you were slightly too nervous to inquire the jewelry maker about it but the Mandalorian standing before you had given it to you the last time he was here. He simply said he thought it would look nicer on you. You didn’t ask anymore.

“It’s alright,” you smiled. “I’m just glad to see you back here in one piece.”

He seemed a bit taken back by that. You worried you had overstepped the boundary between flirting and kindness but then he tilted his head, curiously. “Yeah?”

Oh, you felt yourself blushing a bit. You ducked your head and stepped around him, beginning to work on the lock of your shop. 

“Yeah,” you shrugged and opened the door. The Mandalorian followed closely behind. “I’ve heard your work can be demanding. Lots of opportunities for you to get hurt.”

“Does that worry you?”

You stopped in front of the pile of new fabrics you had just woven. You sighed. “I’ve come to think of us as a little bit more than acquaintances. It’s normal to worry about others.”

You swore you heard him let out a low chuckle at that but he didn’t acknowledge it. Or your statement. You chose to do the same. You walked around to the counter and began prepping the logbooks for the day. The Mandalorian continued to hang around, gaze and hands roaming the new pieces you had set up last night. You were hoping this new collection you were previewing was going to bring in some hefty credits. Maybe allow you to take a holiday.

The Mandalorian broke the tense silence with the most unexpected comment. “I worry about you too, you know.” 

Your finger stopped abruptly as it scanned your list of sales for the week. When you had offered your care, you had never expected it back. You two technically weren’t on that level, at least not verbally. In other formats of gift-giving and worried looks, it was a different story. 

“You worry about me?” You inquired, brows raised in surprise. 

He gave a very Mandalorian-like shrug, his gaze still fixated on your for-sale items. Something in you was crushed when it looked like you weren’t getting any more from him. Maybe he’d disappear tonight, embarrassed by this exchange. But then by some miracle, he spoke again.

“Of course,” he said it like it was so obvious. “You’re a very kind shopowner living out in this village alone. This galaxy, no matter what corner you hide in, can be dangerous.”

You smiled to yourself. “I’ve done this for many years, Mandalorian. I think I will be alright.”

He hummed in acknwoeldgement. “I’m sure,” he mumbled. “But can you blame me for having concerns?”

This conversation sure was going to a funny place, you thought, but you were along for the ride. If he was going to talk about concerns, you could for sure rattle off yours. He was worried about your safety in this little village while you worried for his health. It cannot be good for a human, assuming he was human under all that gear, to be wandering the galaxy with no rhyme or reason besides the bounties strung about this galaxy. You never thought you’d express these things to him but the Mandalorian appeared to be a talkative one today. And you felt you two were beyond strangers. 

“Well, I’m flattered you think of me,” you admitted. “But I fear it’s you who faces more dangers than me.”

The helmeted man gave a little scoff at that comment. “Nothing I can’t handle.”

Sure, you didn’t doubt that, but that wasn’t what was on your mind. “I’m not talking about bounty hunting. I’m talking about your habit of being a drifter.”

The words didn’t feel very impactful in your brain but when they hit the open shop it was like you had dropped a bomb. The Mandalorian stilled, his gloved hand letting go of one of the scarves you had laying on a table. He began making his way suddenly towards where you still stood behind the counter. You frowned.

“A drifter?”

His eye gaze wasn’t seen but it was sure felt. You shrugged. “I’m not a fool. I know you bounce around from planet to planet throughout this galaxy. Maker knows why you keep coming back here but... I just worry you don’t have a home-,”

“I don’t,” he confirmed. Your heart all about stopped. Well, you didn’t exactly want to be right.

“Oh,” you said, averting your eyes to the wood counter. “And that doesn’t bother you? You must want someone waiting for you. Someone to just spend...moments with.”

“Don’t I have you?”

The question hung in the air between you two like a heavy pendulum. You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. He… He thought of you like that? Of this village? But why would he… Oh, but didn’t it make some kind of sense? The reappearing? The coming and going… He waltzed in and tried to get to know everyone. Got to know you.

Your head was a jumbled mess, so much so the only thing you could get out was a soft, “Me?”

The Mandalorian nodded. He wasn’t looking anywhere near you, finding such interest in the wall of your shop. But you noted his stiff stance. Maybe he hadn’t meant to say that… Except he had. And now it was out there. Something in the mysterious bounty hunter made him let out such a grand confession.

“Yes,” he eventually confirmed. “You. This village. I have that. I have this to come back to.”

With thoughts swimming violently, you had to ask, “But why don’t you stay?”

“I have jobs to do.” He almost sounded offended you had asked that. You shook your head.

“N-No, I mean… Get a place for yourself. You’re always sleeping on that ship. Maybe accept the invites to dinners the sweet lady down the path invites you to. Or you and I could…” Your words faded fast, slightly scared of what was going to slip out. But the Mandalorian wasn’t letting it go.

He turned his gaze back to you. “We could what?”

“S-Spend time together or something,” you mumbled. Real smooth, you thought. Just the perfect way to flirt. You expected him to now be so offended, maybe even storm out such a suggestion, but the armored man didn’t move. Instead, he cocked his head, curious.

“You’d want to do that?”

You sighed. “I want you to start a life somewhere. Really start it. Drifting around this galaxy cannot be very promising. You deserve this. You deserve a home, Mando.”

“Din.”

Your brows furrowed. Now it was your turn to be curious. “What?”

“My name is Din,” he explained. “You don’t have to call me Mando.”

If a heart could sing, yours would be a full chorus. He finally told you his name. After collecting jewelry and stories, he had finally opened somewhat to you. That was a good sign, a great sign. 

“Din,” you said, testing the name. It rolled off your lips easily. “We’d love to have you around.” A beat. “I’d love it, especially.” It was a bold declaration but he had given you something, the least you could do was make your intentions more obvious.

“Thank you,” Din said. 

“Of course,” you shrugged. “We all need to find the place where we belong.”

Din let out a bit of a chuckle. You frowned at that.

“You think I belong here?” He asked, amused. 

You didn’t like that he wasn’t taking you seriously but it would be okay. Just gave you more of a reason to show him everything this place had to offer. From the nice shopkeepers to the lovely food. This would be some kind of home for him or at least a place where he’d always be welcomed. Your heart fluttered at the idea of him leaving less, maybe even never leaving. He could train people on fighting or - or… 

You had to stop yourself as your brain was getting beyond reality. You shot the Mandalorian a smile.

“I think you’ve always belonged.”

Summary: You’re a little bit sad, and Changbin will not have that. You’d missed your bus.

It wasn’t the end of the world, but it did mean you had to wait another hour at the end of a forested street with no other company to catch the next one.

With little signal and definitely no wifi, you had been completely alone, except for the odd crow that hopped past. They all seemed to be searching for the same treasure, going by how desperately they sifted through the dirt and mudded leaves. And you weren’t far off from joining them in their search by the time the bus arrived, being positively ready to turn feral to scavenge for food and survive in the wilderness.

Ok maybe you were being dramatic.

But this is what Changbin heard and though he wasn’t impressed with your boss keeping you behind, he held his tongue and decided to focus his efforts into cheering you up instead.

You were sprawled on the sofa as he returned from retrieving the things he needed from his room. With a grin, he came to stand at the end by your feet, marvelling at you and your beauty and how you expected nothing as you pouted with your eyes closed.

In a matter of seconds, your eyes shot open only to see a canvas of green obscuring the world as he draped the blanket previously wrapped round his arm over you, ‘accidentally’ covering your face in the process.

A few seconds of stilled silence followed, before you then pushed the edge away to reveal your exaggeratedly-distasteful expression. Your hair had caught and frazzled slightly around your face, and he couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Even if you’d disagree, he thought you looked adorable. And it showed, as he immediately headed over to your side, kneeling so your eyes were closer to level.

“Hello, sweetheart,” he began, a strong arm lifting to allow him to lay a finger upon the top of your nose.

You couldn’t help but grin. “Hey, bub.”

You let him caress the strands of hair from your face, instead taking in the features of his and making sure the moment would be embroidered into your memories forever.

He was so gentle with you, a sweet smile always teasing at his cloudy cheeks. He’d make up for the time you’d lost. Easily.

He was a miracle of sorts, like that.

“Do you feel happier yet?” he murmured, voice so oddly delicate, it was as if he spoke so the world wouldn’t shatter.

Perhaps he was scared you would.

“A lot better, now that you’re here,” you whispered, fingers teasing the seams of the blanket. You continued, almost tentatively, “But you’re not close enough...!”

His expression softened as he seemed to sink into a shade of guilt. “I know, I want to be even closer too,” he edged towards you as if to emphasise his point, fingers coming to rest at your chin, “but I’ve got to go and get our dinner.”

“We’re having takeaway?!” you cried, spirits lifted even further. “What are we having?”

“Your favourite, of course,” he eased his thumb over to your cheek, “but that does mean I have to leave you for a bit.”

You visibly dimmed at that, but Changbin wouldn’t let you get sad again. After all, he had a plan.

His hand left your skin suddenly cool as he turned his eyes down to the floor, picking up something he’d carefully placed there.

“But I don’t want you to be alone, so...” He held up a plush Munchlax and placed him upon the sofa cushion by your shoulder. “I’m leaving Gyu on cuddle duty.”

Your eyes went as wide as the moon once they settled upon the sight of Changbin’s beloved plushie.

You’d never expected him to let you have the small thing, he’d always kept him out of sight and reach.

But here he was, making sure you wouldn’t be lonely. And it would be a lie to say you didn’t have to push down the leap of your heart.

“Gyu!” you exclaimed softly, hands hesitantly peaking out from beneath the blanket to very carefully take him into your arms.

“You’re sure you’ll be ok without me here?” he asked aimlessly. He knew the answer; he saw it in the joy that glistened in your eyes as they settled upon his plushie. He’d kept Gyu away from you for so long, it seemed you’d given up on the hope of actually ever holding the cuddly toy. Why he’d done so eluded not only you, but him too. You’d always expressed a love for the Munchlax as soon as you laid eyes upon him, and you never thought any less of Changbin for having him—it had quite the opposite effect actually. But nevertheless, Gyu was here now, in your arms, reminding you of Changbin and thus love and comfort and home.

“I’ll have Gyu! Of course I’ll be ok!” you asserted. “You should go, otherwise they’ll bin our food.”

He grinned, stroking your temple as he got to his feet, words abandoning him momentarily before he returned to his senses. 

Leaning down, he planted a gentle kiss upon your lips. Sweet as always, it was short and chaste but it did not fail to take your breath away, all while he lingered against the warmth of your smile.

“I’ll be off then,” he mumbled, looking into your eyes as he leant away.

He seemed to hesitate as he mentally convinced himself to drag his legs away from you and head towards the front door. A chance you couldn’t waste.

You reached up and pressed a finger against the bridge of his nose, running it across the smooth curve all the way down to the tip playfully.

“Bye, Binnie,” you giggled, chin nuzzled into the head of the Munchlax.

Unable to hide his soft laughter, he took a hold of your hand, placing a brief kiss upon your knuckle, before finally shifting away from the sofa and striding across the room.

As he passed through the hallway and reached the door and pulled the chair lock across, he glanced back through to catch another glimpse of you.

And that was when he realised the reason why he didn’t want you to have Gyu.

He sighed at himself as he stepped into the cold outside.

Jealous of a cuddly toy. What had he come to.

1/2 You write god tier Greed/Ling stuff so I just wanted to share, was listening to youtube recommendations and Affection by Cigarettes After Sex started playing... Well, imagine a modern AU where Greed has a band, guess he plays either a guitar or bass idk, and Ling is applying to be a lead singer or something like that. Greed's naturally been all high and mighty, showing Ling around his shitty band quarters like it was The Best Place in town and Ling was Highly Privileged to see it,

[2/2 but the moment they finally start jamming and Ling opens his mouth to sing Greed’s absolutely enamored, so much so he plain forgets to play his part and just listens, mouth agape how someone can sound that good. Ling in turn slowly stops singing cause he’s not sure if he should continue now alone, and then they just stare each others for a second, both confused as to why the other stopped singing/playing. Ahah yeah, idk if this was going anywhere. Anywho, have a good one!! Love your works❣️]

After the stunt Kimblee pulled we need a new singer and, as a group, we decided where to search for them.”

To Greed it seemed like it was Martel who was being obtuse just for the hell of it, but it wasn’t like he was ever going to say that out loud, he somewhat valued his own life.

“Have you seen the people that hang in this place, they’re so not in tune with our… way of living our life”“And now you’re just saying things”“No no I mean it, look around you.” He waved his hands at the room, making some of the horrible bourbon he was drinking spill from his glass (it was almost a miracle they served bourbon at all). “They’re boring, they’re… normal… They lack our vibe… our aesthetic. I don’t want one of these people as a singer in my band.”“If you’re waiting for someone with your same fashion taste to get a singer, we’re literally going to perform for the first time In the actual Devil Nest.”Greed looked at her.“You know, like the name of our band…”Greed kept looking at her.“and we’ll be performing in hell…”….“… Because we’ll be dead…”…“…From old age…”…“…because NOBODY IN THE WORLD HAS YOUR FASHION TASTE.”She shouted the last part.“You know that when you have to explain a joke five times it means it didn’t land, right?”“You got it the first time, you’re just being an asshole about it. When they saw the shadow of a person standing in front of their table they looked up to find, of course, the neon hipster one, looking down at them with the flier in hand and a hopeful smile on his face.Of fucking course.————————————��

Except for Bido, but he was a special case. Nobody could dislike Bido, come on!

1. Do you listen to music when you write?

Yes, but not often. Usually, I only do it when I'm writing something inspired by that song specifically.

3. Computer or pen and paper?

Tough choice, but... computer. Mainly because whenever I put something down on paper, whether a random piece of paper or a notebook, I never manage to find it again. Anything I have recorded digitally is... just as unorganized, honestly, but at least it has to be in the device somewhere.

4. Have you ever been published, or do you want to be published?

Never been published, but maybe, one day, probably in the far, far future, I am definitely tempted to get something published, professionally even.

Though, if this means published as in just posting something on the internet, I haven't posted any actual writing in ages, but I do definitely hope to post more, sooner rather than later

10. Do you set yourself deadlines?

Not really, I already know how horrible I am with deadline, they'd just upset me, not to mention getting myself to write something when I'm feeling completely against the idea never works out.

15.  How do you deal with writer’s block?

Ok, so, I don't actually get writer's block all that often! At least, not complete, total writer's block, where I can't write anything at all. When it comes down to it, I love writing, so if I let my instincts take the lead, there's usually at least something I'd enjoy writing. But if I'm trying to work on a specific project and the words just won't come? I rarely try to tackle writer's block head on. I usually always choose to just take a step back, let myself have a break, write something else that demands less mental effort, then wait for inspiration. My imagination is more hyperactive than not.

20. How many WIPs and story ideas do you have?

Oh..... my God......... why would you ask me that........

Uhhhhh if only just what I consider to be my main, proper, actual WIPs, then around four. If you count the ones that I'm not entirely convinced are legit yet, but have solidified too much to just be going away now, then maybe like... fifteen, including the main four. If... you... really want the estimated total then.......

24. Favourite genre to write and read

Oooooohh, tough question. I enjoy a whole lot, and you should know I just love to genre-mash. But, I suppose, if it really comes down to it, I'd have to stick with my age-old answer: fantasy. I've always loved it and I don't hope to stop.

30. Favourite idea you haven’t started on yet

Depends what you mean by "haven't started on yet." If I had the idea at all, it probably has at least a few scenes written down already. So, if we just go by a story that hasn't made any progress since those first inspiring lines I put down, then this original story by the working title of "Long Live The Foreign Dead." It's... quite chaotic. To summarize as shortly as possible, it's about a girl working as a grim reaper in a fantasy world.

40. Share some backstory for one of your characters

Ummmmmm, we'll do........ my girl Zoeri, from my Treasure Trove WIP. Her short description is "the blind host of an eldritch horror," and these attributes have affected her since day one.

From the day she was born, and the villagers realized she harboured a demonic entity within her, they wanted to leave her for dead. So they cast her from the village and dumped her in the middle of the forest, but in the end, at least one of the villagers there couldn't bear the thought of leaving a blind, helpless, infant girl all alone to die in the woods, so they went to retrieve her and raised her in secret.

But eventually, either other villagers found out about it, or they watched her take her eldritch form and were too horrified to keep her any longer, she ends up abandoned in the woods again. Someone else finds her, and takes her in again. The formula repeats. She survives by a miracle, even if, usually, she isn't able to stay long enough to develop any substantial bonds.

And, finally, inevitably, as she's only just reached preteen age, no one takes her in again. She ends up alone again, and stays that way this time. She grows up in the woods, largely isolated and wary of all strangers, until the very start of the plot.

44. How much research do you do?

Probably more than what is healthy XD

When I'm only just beginning on a story, or haven't gotten the flow of it going yet, is the most dangerous time, where I am at risk of spending ages on Google looking for this one (1) extremely specific piece of information that somehow lead me to thirty tabs.

But, fortunately, at least, when I've finally picked up the rhythm of writing something, I tend not to spend too long on research. I've learned to put a [***] where something I don't know is meant to go.

47. Best way to procrastinate

49. Which character would you most want to be friends with, if they were real?

That's another difficult question. I think, if it really boils down to it, the choice is... between Deva and Dani, the protagonist of the Treasure Trove WIP and his older sister. I really love Deva, I have to, when he's the leading voice of a project I love, and I'm such a character-centric person. He's just a relatively cool guy in general too.

But also, Deva really cares for and admires Dani, and I look through his eyes a lot so... not to mention, I will confess, she is..... a tad bit of a self insert. Except, like, better than me. At life. She's a slightly more ideal me. I'm certainly tempted to meet someone like that.

My Professor Layton’s games ranking ง( ᐛ )ง

I was feeling like ranking the Professor Layton’s games from my favorite to least fav one... let’s review this together (◕▽◕✿)

Be careful though, it might contain spoilers if you’re planning on buying the games, especially on the Azran Legacy, I can only advise you not to read if you haven’t played it yet.

1 - Professor Layton and the Unwound Future

Actually, this one is my favorite game so far. I’ve loved the storyline, well, it got me very puzzled at times. 

The soundtrack was amazing, as for all the games y’know, but the main theme is so incredibly pleasing to listen to. The game allows you to visit places of London, as for Chinatown and stuff.

The plot twist of the end got me yelling, even if we all knew at some point that if they actually didn’t travel in time there wouldn’t be any Luke adult existing yet.

But I love the character that is Clide so much. Also, one of the part that I loved, finding out about the past of Hershel and Claire, I thought it was so cute to find out he had a lovely girlfriend back at that time. And that thing with the evil Layton, I wondered what it was all about.

My favorite features of the game : I love the soundtrack as I already said. The storyline is well-thought. Not so difficult nor easier puzzles, nice places to look for. Thinking you have traveled in time, idk, I kept a very good memory of it.

2 - Professor Layton and the Curious Village

I’ve hesitated a long time before figuring out that I would rank the first game as my second favorite one.

Indeed, it was the first game that I bought since it was the first one released. I remember loving to play it so much for hours, at that time I was in middle school and I really was trying to solve every puzzle by myself (with hint coins for sure, I wasn’t that clever yet).

I got pretty surprised at a few moments of the game, as the first murder of Rupert, Ramon’s kidnapping, and I clearly remember being so SCARED of Don Paolo like, who on Earth would get scared of such a funny character ಠ_ಠ... I was a smol bean...

My favorite features of the game : As stupid as I can sound, it was cool to set up both of the Professor and Luke’s hotel rooms with furnitures that we earned during the game. Also, well, the game was so mysterious and the puzzles got me.... puzzled? ¯\(ツ)/¯ but I still love playing it even today, I kept a good memory of my first experience with it.

3 - Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box

There are a few parts of the game that I’ve disliked and that I realize only now, but let’s be clear : I really appreciate all the games.

So, about that game, the thing that I’ve “disliked” - it really is much of a word, I just think it could have been better - was the end. The vampire thing, and well, all the plot of the end, I think it was a bit far-fetched. Like, I didn’t completely understand the development and the purpose of the ending. I guess I was hoping for something else. Sadly, it was the part which got me disappointed.

On another note, it doesn’t mean that I don’t play it all over again. Despite that, the game is cool, the trip by train, exploring the Molentary Express and different places as we go further, trying to discover how on Earth could such a little box actually kill people around- and I won’t lie, I got scared at times ಠωಠ suspens, suspens. 

It still is my third favorite game, because I really have enjoyed it and until now, I didn’t care that much about the ending in details.

My favorite features of the game : Will you make fun of me if I say that my favorite part was to make tea for Folsense’s residents ? ✧w✧ I spent hours trying to prepare new teas... (I don’t even like tea.......)

4 - Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy

The most recent game (besides the one with Katrielle) that I probably finished faster than the others... (Luke is always fucking jumping all over the place)

Okay so, for this one, I remember being so intrigued by the mystery around the Azran population and legend - that, if I remember correctly, first heard about in the movie The Eternal Diva (which was excellent, tbh) - and the end got me so startled like, there was so many revelations at the same time, I couldn’t believe,,,,, I was so in shock I might have cried. “What... OH MY. OH MY GOD. IT CAN’T BE??? NOOOOO... IT’S A JOKE RIGHT? WAIT, WHAT!!!!!! THE HELL!!!!!!!!! BUT HOW- EMMY WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!” - these might be the word I have used.

I really was wondering what could be the said Azran Legacy, and I wasn’t disappointed. The total opposite of what I think of the second game. The end got me real shook because well, EVERYONE FUCKING DIES?? BRONEV KILLS AURORA???? DESCOLE IS FREAKING HERSHEL’S BROTHER!!! EMMY IS HIS COUSIN!!!! BRONEV IS THEIR FATHER!!!!

I found the game amazing, and to get the opportunity to solve mysteries around the world, to travel with the Bostonius and stuff, really, I enjoyed it a lot.

My favorite features of the game : As I said up there, to travel around the world was a nice idea. And all the revelations... it got me pleasantly surprised. I loved getting into the fashionista world with Luke too. ( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º )

5. Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask

I took so much time to get this one over but hey, at some point, I did it.

Yeah, I took my sweet time to finish the game because I didn’t have much free time besides school and I kind of forgot about it at some point. One day, I simply told myself that it could be great to at least, see the end.

It’s not my favorite because it didn’t mark me as the others did, but I liked it, it was interesting to get to play in the past when Randall still was Hershel’s friend. They were about to find the treasure and he fucking fell off.

But let’s face it, we all knew it was him all along. 

Actually, I wasn’t sure about the powers of the mask, and that was a great plot twist to figure out it was two masks in the end. The storyline and the mysteries around the miracles were nicely imagined. It turned out it wasn’t much magic after all.

My favorite features of the game : Everything about the Azran population was so interesting to me, in the game just as in the last one, even if some parts of the ending were predictable. Let’s get it clear : Henry is a sweet little bean.

6 - Professor Layton and the Last Specter

To end the post, my least favorite Professor Layton game, for one and only one reason (maybe two).

The only reason I rank the game as my least favorite is because it has been so long that I’ve played it and to be honest, I don’t remember it at all, except a few parts. I’ve only played it once and never got to do it again. Sadly, I’ve lost my cartridge and I bought a new one like, two months ago. 

As far as I remember, the end got me disappointed as well but as I said, I really should play it again to have a better and constructive opinion about it.

My favorite features of the game : The scene on the gif was cute. They were lovely together. (◕ ω ◕✿)

Love Me [Kids Soulmate AU]

Drabble Asks||(not CURRENTLY accepting, DC sent me SO MANY AND I MUST DO THEM ALL THE FORCE OF DIPIFICA COMPELS ME)

Leave a “Love Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a fluffy drabble about our characters.

[This got really, REALLY long, so there’s a read more. Also idk if this is fluff??? It kinda ENDS in fluff??? I can’t really write fluff. Angst is waaaaaay more up my alley. Have some Weirdmaggedon Dipifica.]

So he was her soulmate. That didn’t mean she was in love with him, right? There were people with soulmates that were better off friends, right?

Whatever. It didn’t matter, because there was no way she was going to fall for that lame Pines kid.

Out of seven billion people in the entire freaking world,  he had to be her stupid soulmate.

And now that stupid world seemed to be ending, and the color seemed to get sapped out of the world.

While she would never admit it out loud, it terrified her.

If the color went away, then so did Dipper Pines.

In all his time trying to save Mabel, the color didn’t fade once, which made Mabel’s bubble hard to look at.

Of course, whenever he saw a new color he thought of her. The entire reason he could see color in the first place. He still wished that it could’ve been Wendy.

Up until Wendy-that-wasn’t-actually-Wendy turned into bug and maggots before his eyes. He would manage without Wendy being his soulmate after that. And he had come to treasure her friendship in a way he didn’t think he would’ve before that summer.

The color didn’t fade, which meant she wasn’t dying, or close to death. And for once his heart didn’t feel the need to pound against his ribs as if it wanted to break from his chest.

She screams when he bursts through the door, fists held at either side, ready to jump and claw his eyes out with her nails. But it’s nothing. Dipper, Mabel, the lumberjack girl, and the gopher man from the gift shop.

Her eyes land on Dipper, and her heart stutters. She wants to scream again. To yell and throw a tantrum and tell her heart to stop. It wasn’t fair. 

She watches their reunion with Stan, and she feels any strength she had, any color that filled her, drain. And while she can still manage enough sass about the potato sack she had to wear, it felt empty to her. 

Her parents were stone statues, probably still alive, and part of that evil corn chips’s stupid throne. The boy who was supposedly her soulmate was ramping her fellow refugees up to fight Bill with his twin sister, and while she has felt alone her entire life, the loneliness had never felt this heavy before.

In all of the commotion of turning the Shack into a robot, Dipper doesn’t pay much attention to color. He’s too busy trying to keep them all alive.

But he doesn’t blame Paicifca for staying out of the way. Most of it was heavy lifting, no one wanted her input on any ideas, and everyone just expected her to keep to the sidelines.

Nonetheless, he wishes that she’d show some of that fight he’d seen in her back at the mansion. That she’d be out here, proving everyone wrong, sweeping around and helping wherever she could. But that wasn’t who she was. Maybe someday.

It’s somewhat a miracle and somewhat fate, and somewhat awkward when they end up having free time at the same time. But he needed a little break, and Pacifica had nothing but break time.

“Hey.” He says, trying to keep his cool as his heart kicks up to triple speed and every color seems to get brighter, her crystal eyes seeming to glow in the firelight.

She sits on a log by the fire, having surrendered to the cold and wearing Mabel’s llama sweater. A can of Pitt Cola dangles from her finger tips, and she doesn’t look up from the fire when she mutters back. “Hey.”

He clears his throat, sits next to her on the log. “Should we talk the plan over again?”

“You’ve talked about nothing but for two days. I’ve got it down cold, thanks.”

Okay, so maybe he had, and maybe she knew it as well as he did, but she didn’t have to be so cold about it, did she? “Did I…do something?”

She just shakes her head. “No. But maybe that’s the point.”

She sounds so unsure, like she doesn’t know what she wants. Which was outrageous. She was Pacifica Northwest, she always knew what she wanted, and she always got it. “Did you…want me to do something?”

“I don’t know, okay?” She breathes the words, so quietly he isn’t sure he heard her right.

“I thought we were pretending this didn’t happen.”

“Yeah. And then the color started draining from the world.”

“Wait, what?”

“How many times have you almost died since it happened, Dipper?” She still won’t look at him. He doesn’t know why that feels like a bat to the heart.

“Probably a handful, more so in the past few days…” he trails off. “Why?”

“You do know that when-” she cuts herself off, swallows. “When your soulmate dies…The world loses color again.”

Dipper’s eyes widen slightly, but then he nods, “Oh.” It’s all he can think to say. Of course he knew. But to remember that Pacifica would see…would know the same thing. He really almost died when Bill had his body. What did she see then?

“Yeah.” She doesn’t offer him any more.

“So you…you know when I’m near death then.”

“Yeah.”

“I’m not surprised I haven’t seen it yet.”

She crushes the can in her fist, and the sound spooks him. “Yeah.”

“Is that all you can say?”

“Right now?” And her voice is angry, but he can see the tears she’s holding back, “Yeah.”

“Are you mad that I’ve almost died?”

“Well if you’re supposed to be my soulmate I don’t really want you dying, okay. I like seeing color, thanks. Would really appreciate it if you’d let it stay that way.”

“Didn’t think you cared.”

“Am I not allowed to now or something?”

“Just…” and he runs his fingers through his hair, “I didn’t think you cared.”

She stands from the log, tosses the aluminum can into the fire, “I need to sleep if we’re ambushing tomorrow.” She turns away from him, heads for the tents.

“Pacifica.” He says, and she stops dead. “I like seeing color too. So don’t-”

“Yeah. I’m less likely to die than you are, Pines.” And she’s gone.

She’s a tapestry, caught in limbo between life and death, and he suddenly understands what she was talking about when she said that color drained from the world.

He’s being chased in the Fearymid, and she’s stuck as a tapestry, and she can still see the color fading. It’s the worst feeling she’s ever known. She’s stuck, and the color is draining, and the loneliness sets in again.

They make it out alive, and she gets to give him his birthday present. She’s glad he likes it so much. The colors seems to vibrate, and his smile is bright like the sun.

He’s leaving. They’re leaving, he and Mabel. But he has to say goodbye. They were soulmates, attached by the red string of fate, and he was going to honor it. She wasn’t who he thought she was.

“Have a good time in California.” How did she know it was him?

“Y-yeah. Eighth grade should be a blast.” His voice drips in sarcasm, despite his stuttering.

“You’re the only one that would know to find me here.” She means the hidden room. The paintings. Why did she come back here? “Martin let you in, right? Dad wouldn’t of, savior of the world or not.”

It’s his last day in Gravity Falls. Her last day in the mansion she grew up in. They were both moving on to new adventures.

“Yeah. Martin.” He steps over the threshold, takes a seat next to her. And suddenly he’s back to that night. Begging her for help, begging for her to save them. “You’re a savior yourself, you know.”

“I pulled a stupid lever. You faced off against a stupid dream demon. I think there’s a difference there.”

“You disobeyed your parents, fought against a sound you’ve been trained to obey your whole life. I’d take a dream demon over the courage that would take any day.”

“You have to leave soon, don’t you?”

“Yeah.”

“Dipper?”

“Yeah?”

“I don’t hate you. Anymore.”

He didn’t expect that. “Yeah? Well. Me neither.”

“I don’t exactly like you either though.”

“Yet. We’re soulmates. Plenty of time.”

“Yeah. Soulmates.”

He stands, brushes off his shorts, adjusts his cap.”

Before he leaves, “See you next summer, Pines.”

“Bet on it, Northwest.”

First console you owned?

The super NES.

I come from a family of “gamers”, in a sense that my dad and most of his cousins are big video game fans.

However, when he was younger, they couldn’t afford any video game, it was too expensive and well, the income was very low, so they mostly spent their times in Arcades. So when my dad got married and finally had a budget, like one of the first things he did was buy a NES lol

He taught me how to splay super Mario when I was very young, tho I don’t even remember the first time I played it.

The first console my parents bought for me was the nintendo 64. And the first one that only belonged to me (Cuz I shared the 64 with my dad and my cousins) was the game boy colour.

A game that holds a special place in your heart?

I think Pokemon Ruby! God, I have so many good memories of this game! Like it was such a good experience for me!

I kinda was “kinnie” with May and saw myself a lot in her. And I fell in love with so many pokemon in that gen, like Torchic, Milotic, Absol, Azuril, Jirachi etc.

I got my first pokemon to lvl 100 (My blaziken). I found my first ever Shiny Pokemon (Trapinch who evolved into Flygon) and was lucky to get a lot of jackpot at the casino (Which I really sucked before lol). I also had a lot of fun times with the secret bases. And I loved the characters like Brendan, Winona and Wally. I discovered a lot of stuff on my own that up until today was memorable to me, like finding the 5% chance of fishing Feebas and trying to discover how to get Azuril (we didn’t have bulbapedia at the time and couldn’t read very well in English.) I also fell in love with the wonders of Hoenn! 

After like 200 hours I think, the games had a thing were the clock just stops moving and you can’t plant berries and such and it kinda sucks. I know it doesn’t change much in game, but when I was a kid it felt like the end of the game for me. And it kinda made me sad, but I still have the cartridge intact. I never had the heart to reset the game, I just moved my pokemon to other games (HGSS). Ruby will always be like a special treasure for me.

Favorite video game character?

This one is difficult, because I love so many lol Like I could talk about days, especially since they have a lot of characters in pokemon.

But I guess I will spare the details and go straight to a video game character that I appreciate and love a lot: Professor Layton.

That man is just such good guy? Like he is charismatic, fancy, so kind and so smart! It is fun playing along with him as a main character! And it’s super funny considering that the plots get so weird sometimes, that someone as logical as him can always figure out what is going on before everyone lol

He is just such a nice guy that you would like to meet you know? Also his voice is so calm and nice, it’s soothing!

He is voiced in Japanese by  Yo Oizumi (Which I would recommend everyone to give a listen to! You won’t regret! It’s so soothing and beautiful!) And Christopher Robin Miller in English!

Least favorite video game character?

I don’t have a character that I dislike with a big passion, but since I am given the opportunity I need to talk about one that annoyed me and I will probably put lot of people in a bad mood….please don’t take it personal, it’s just my opinion ;;

But for me, Zin/nia in ORAS made my experience with the post game some much more annoying!

Like I already have kinda a hate-love relationship with Post game ORAS (The delta episode). I like that they added it to the game and gave more story, I adored the moment you go to space and fight Deoxys. All this was so wonderful. I dislike however how you are like “Place A, fight someone. Ok now go to place B. Fight someone again”. It’s really annoying…and the fact that Zinnia’s character was rushed(?) into the story made it more annoying to me. Like we have some details of her story but not a whole lot. We can probably connect the dots…but still?? It felt weird to me. I thought there would be more to it, but it didn’t. And because of that it made the whole experience annoying and almost frustrating, because we don’t know a whole lot of what’s going on, but Zinnia doesn’t explain either. She is just angry and in a rush, and instead of just explaining what is happening, she goes around and steal stuff and punch people??? And when Steven the champion tries to offer some help, she is just rude?? which honestly I don’t care if she hates him, but logically if you want someone to listen and help you, why are you just being horrible to everyone?? And all that alternate universe will be destroyed…is like ok…I get what you mean but HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT FOR SURE??? How is anyone supposed to know that?? I just…idk it frustrated me. And I thought they would one day explain, but it has been like 5 years? and GameFreak maybe forgot about it, so it’s still a bitter memory to me. I know may love her and it’s ok, but to me she came off as unsympathetic at the time.

Favorite genre?

I would say RPG, but I haven’t complete any RPG in years, except for Pokemon. So I guess just relaxing games? Like Animal Crossing? Or games you can explore? Because one of the thing I love the most about games is exploring the vast worlds and interesting cities.  Idk, I also like puzzle games a lot lol

Video game character you’ve had a crush on?

Well when I was a young kid, I had a crush on Silver and Bugsy lol But now I don’t think I have crushes on any characters to be honest. I kinda lost having crushes on characters, but I am not sure why.

I guess if I have to choose, I would say Henry Ledore from Professor Layton: Miracle Mask, because I really liked that character and his personality. And it’s the closest that I have to a character crush, even though it is barely one lol

First video game you remember playing?

Super Mario for the SNES. But my memories are kinda hazy, so the one I remember the most is playing Diddy Kong Racing lol.

I was super young, I can’t really remember when I played a video game for the first time, but I really started being interested in games around 7-ish. When I started playing Pokemon and discover other video games with my cousins.

Listen…I don’t have the patience to play hard games…when it gets tough I give up…If I have the choice I would choose the easier mode…so I can’t even answer this question, because I would be saying a very easy game and people will be laughing at me and saying I am a fake gamer or something.

Most embarrassing gaming moment?

When I was a kid I got stuck playing Golden Sun at the Mercury Lighthouse. It was early in the dungeon, like right after you get Mia, there was a statue you had to do Ply on, and I never got it. So instead I wondered for hours in the few accessible places in the world and did almost everything else I could. when I discovered, I cried almost of joy, my characters were so over-level at that point lol

I tried to play Pokemon competitive mode a few years ago because everyone was talking about it and lost almost immediately, I had no regrets because I dislike competitive modes, so it just proved that it wasn’t for me, but at the same time, it was darn embarrassing.

My first ever game of Kingdom Hearts was 358/2 Days. My experience with KH so far was only KHI that my cousin had. So I never really played it or knew the story, I just knew there were Disney characters and Mickey was apparently a King??? But I just wondered around Traverse Town (thus why I guess that town is so nostalgic to me), I wanted to explore like Atlantica because Ariel was there, but my cousin didn’t let me because it sucked (tho to be fair, he was right, but I didn’t know that!). Fast forward to Days, I was excited to finally start my own adventure and rapidly got confused. Like where was Mickey? My companions Donald and Goofy? Why was everyone talking about nobodies?? (Which for the longest time I thought meant like a insult instead of actually a real thing in the games lol). And to me the game tutorial felt soooo long. I just wanted to explore, and I lost patience so rapidly. Like if you would ask me, I would say that I spent almost 100 days on that game, but apparently I gave up so early, right before going to the first Disney World (one day before according to my brother lol…). I got roasted by my bro and cousins.

Scariest video game you’ve played?

I also don’t do scary stuff lol ;u; I get scary pretty easily! Like I got scared from playing limbo and couldn’t sleep well that night (I am not kidding lol)

Most memorable gaming moment?

Getting my Shiny Trapinch, finding Feebas and hatching my first Azuril in Ruby!

Also when me and my cousin were exploring the Silver islands (? myabe not the proper name, but I am too lazy to search) in Pokemon Silver, we found Lugia!! And It was super exciting for us! We were super happy for the rest of the day!

Video game character you wish you could meet in real life?

I guess Professor Layton, Aqua from KH and Maya Fey from the Ace Attorney games (She is so funny!).

Almost only Nintendo.

Nintendo, mostly because they make the games I am the most interested in, like Pokemon, AC, Mario, etc.

If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

I guess Pokemon, because I can’t imagine leaving without pokemon. But honestly, I can’t just live with ONE game, I would get bored eventually.

Do you use strategy guides?

I used when I was a kid. Now I just use references online when I need it.

How often do you use cheats?

If it’s a in-game glitch, I love trying it. If it’s a cheat that you need to use like a 3rd party, then I never use it.

The only time I cheated was when I was playing DPP, I really wanted to capture Creselia and other event legendary (which I never got, because I live in an obscure town and Nintendo didn’t even give events close to us here so… :) ). I made myself had like 100 master ball in the game, I was just so tired of chasing after Creselia. And honestly I don’t regret doing it. The only reason I don,t use 3rd party cheats is just because I don,t like to use it in the game, I’m paranoid and afraid I will loose my file or something lol

Competitive or single player?

Single player, definitely.

Video game character you want to/have cosplayed?

At a con I went, there was someone dressed like Donk City! Peach. I kinda want to try this but maybe a Roselia or Daisy version!

The other I want to try is KH3 Kairi, just because I adore her outfit. But I feel like it would be difficult and kidna not comfortable to wear, so I am pretty sure I will never lol

Ever go to a video game convention?

No never. It is quite far from where I live. But someday I would like to go.

Personal Reflection -junior Duchess -valedvictorian. -got to dream college (UT AUSTIN), graduated and got scholarships to fund education. Why am I proud of those goals? I set a goal and stuck with it for the most part.

Greater than what i hold onto. Consider: where do u find your safety, security and success? What do you hold onto?

The One Thing: Give up what you hold onto in vain; Jesus is your real gain.

Luke: 18: 18-23 ESV I. Jesus knows your "one thing" Profile: young rich man is… -young -successful. -entitled position of authority and influence. -educated. -do-gooder. "Good teacher, what must I do ro inherit eternal life?" Vs. 18

What is your actual belief about God?   In Singapore- people have the right answer for everything. 1+1=2. Right thing to say. There is this Asian culture to try to save face You have a different.... Face with family. Face In public Face with friends. Face at work. Americans value freedom of expression.. as long as I express myself that’s what matters. Not as much freedom to express what you honestly feel in Singapore and Asia in general.

It’s hard to know what people’s actual belief’s about God is because there is this culture of saving face. What is your actual belief about God? Jesus starts to reveal what he actually believes. Jesus asks.. why do u call me good? No one is good except God alone. God defines what is good alone. Do u really know and believe I am God?

The young rich guy: tells Jesus “I have kept the ten commandments since i was young.” Modern day rendition: “I I I think that I am good, and i am going to jesus for him to affirm me as a good guy…” “Don’t you see those 17 gold stars i saw in kindergarten. The rich guy was insecure..  genuinely curious. The way he responds is a little defensive explaining himself insisting on his own goodness.

Pastor Joe: For many years i felt like i was a good kid. I did all the right things.. knew all the right answers. Jesus revealed the mans actual belief. This is your one thing in life. He was sad, because he had a great number of treasures.

***The rulers actual beliefs: Good things, come to good people by their own good efforts.

Sometimes it takes faith to recieve Gods gift.

Have you ever been uncomfortable trying to follow God? I don’t want to do this... Im so dry.. God just disagreed with you. Have you ever walked away from God but ever walked away feeling sad? You are here present but you heart is not.

What is that one thing? That thing u have to give up.

What is your one thing? God has revealed to you that you have put your trust in? Your true idol for safety, security? Success?

When Jesus isn't your one thing, Jesus just becomes an add-on in your life to make you feel more affirmed?

I placed my church inv. At my significance. Person came in late to access and judges them for being late. I refused to address outside of Jesus. I tried desperately to find my significance in anything and everything even in good things like the church.

The young ruler found his safety and security in things other than Jesus. When we surrender to God we are so focused on the losing part we dont realize what we are gaining. I wonder if he was insecure and didnt know the steadfast love of God was greater than anything else in this world.

What the young man should have responded.. is i have no good apart from God. Psalm 16: 1-2.

Jesus is worth surrendering to Read Luke 18: 24-27 The disciples told Jesus “you just turned away your prime candidate.” This guys has been to OCR b4 ocring, and been to every OCR, participated in Freshman missions, did Csmp and now going on asian missions. This rich guy “Hes done it all. Hes the ultimate bachelor. If not him.. who is good enough?”

***Our idolatry makes it impossible to follow Jesus and gain eternal life. Marriage is an exclusive committed relationship. Even if you are the most hard working person in life.. if its not Jesus your pursuit..  then at some point you may turn away.

Jesus is the only good one.. its on his goodness that we stand upon.

Ask yourself: Is there anything you feel like you deserve more of? Have you been obsessed with your competence, reputation, or ranking amongst others? Have you been experiencing a loss that u need to grieve over? Is there something youve gained that you feel you need to hold onto? Is there something you dont want to pray about?

A lot of seniors.. What r u doing after graduation.. idk.. stop asking me. Its embarrassing just to say IDK. Like an essay you are dragging out that you don't know. Second, Third, 4th friend all get jobs.. First friend.. you are happy.. But you think what about me God?

Come to LG you have job.. Praise God it was a gift to me.. yes lord it was a gift praise God..i can be a missionary in my field. 4 months in and your like i hate work.. it stinks.

We always challenge graduates to give your first paycheck to step out in faith.

Students esp... im telling you its harder and harder to give up your all. As a bachelor.. all i have is time.. married.. i hesitate.. Becuase of my Baby boy.. As you get more sucessful you gain more.. the more you gain the harder it is to give and hold up.

***Is Jesus really worth it? Jesus makes eternal life worth it.  .. not by yourself but by the work of God. Vs. 27   He makes it possible to say and do good works.. overflow of good works. Ephesians 2:8-10

I was so dedicated to the middle East in the military I even came up with the... Four Ms Missions in Military for Muslims in Middle East - genuine prayer at first. Camp Greenly. Rifle in my hand and training.. shooting at target. God spoke to me to pray... Vivid image of when i gave my life a few years prior.. ive been pining my hopes in marine corps. I took pride in it.. over the years.. i put my safety security and significance in military. I took out loans.. forgive all loans if you sign up for more years.   I had stopped turning to the Lord as my providor. My lord i give up marine corp.. Hehe.  I see what u are doing..   Go to county called dajbootie. Narrowed down list.. Ok lord send me. My name wasnt called. Lord.. what is it that you want me to do? Those good things had become my one thing. Whole season pray through.. hopinh whatever you want to do.. show me and ill follow.

God opened door.. miracle provision for transformation center. Month later.. Months later pastor Andrew.. asked me to get inv. With church.. Month after that sent pastor ben. Month after that first int. Church plant.. 6 months. God showed me this is what I'm doing. Person challenged me.. what y Fast and pray about it.. I think, I think God was calling me to be a Pastor..

Went with Jakarta for a year.   That was a hard year. Christ was probing my heart what my one thing really was... Are we even listening to what the Lord has to say.

Reflection: I think for me, I doubt that God wants me to give up on being an AuD. I just don’t think that’s what God want’s for me, but I think He is wanting me to surrender my timeline, by not getting into grad school this year, it kind of screws up my 10 year plan, but maybe one more year in Austin is just what I need to help transform me into a missionary not only as a worker in the workplace, but also as a student, in all areas of my life. 10+1 year timeline here we go. Also if you get a chance, please watch Pastor Joe’s from Singapore’s preaching. He’s such as hilarious pastor, he’s so sassy, in speaking truth to people’s lives, he calls them out on their bluff.
