y/n had just got out of her room walking around the halls. She wanted to get out of this hellhole as soon as se could, she couldn’t bear to see anymore of her classmates die.

Passing by rooms she knew where se exactly wanted to go. She had walked towards the cafe in the building not knowing all the trouble inside it.

I had wandered through the halls and got closer to to the cafe. I heard lots of voices from there so I quickened my steps. There was lot of people standing there and in the middle there was Hyun-Ho fighting with Kyung-Jun.

“What the fuck is going on.” I whispered to myself noticing it didn’t catch anyones ears.

Kyung-Jun had roughly pushed Hyun-Ho and he slammed against the wall. “Alright! Isn’t this enough now!” I said strongly and went to push Kyung-Jun away from the other man.

“You stay here.” I told him and went to help Hyun-Ho up. “You okay?” I asked him as I helped him up. He nodded at me and gave me a smile.

I could feel Kyung-Juns burning a hole onto me head, but I didn’t mind it. “I don’t get it. Why do you guys have to fight at a time like this.” I breathed out and shook my head.

“y/n’s right.” Our class president agreed with me. “We should go now.” He continued and mentioned that we should go downstairs and meet everyone in there.

I watched them leave and Kyung-Jun slumped on a chair and kicked the table. I sighed and exited the cafe and went to a girls bathroom to look for a medkit.

Once I returned to the cafe I saw Jin-ha and Seung-Bin also sitting around the table. “You idiots.” I said and their gazes turned to me. I sat on a chair next to Kyung-Jun and gently pulled his chin between my fingers.

“Why do you start fights.” I asked him and started to clean his wounds. He didn’t answer but hissed each time the wound pained him. I just sighed and cleaned his wounds.

After cleaning his wounds I turned to Jin-Ha who was on next chair next to me. “Head this way.” I told him and he turned his head to me. I started to clean his wounds but then someone yanked my hand back.

“He can clean his own wounds.” Kyung-Jun told me but I didn’t listen and yanked my hand back. “Don’t get in my nerves now. I bet you guy started the fight but let me help out a little.” I said and turned my attention back to Jin-ha.

I don’t get why was Kyung-Jun like this. When we were young he wasn’t violent he was kind. I miss the old him who wouldn’t just throw fists around. But I do love this Kyung-Jun, he treats me well. I’ve tried to told him to stop fighting but he still hasn’t, maybe someday.

Kyung-Jun had stayed silent as I cleaned the duo’s wounds. “All done. Now stop doing unnecessary shit like this, you’ll just draw suspicious to your way.” I said and shook my head and the trio just stayed silent not matching my gaze.

“Let’s go then.” I told then and got up. Jin-Ha and Seung-Bin got up as well but Kyung-Jun just sat there. “You two go ahead.” He told them and they just obeyed and left. Leaving me and my cranky boyfriend in the cafe.

“What is-“ “Do you love me?” I started to ask but got cut off by Kyung-Juns question. Do I love him? Of course I do.

“Of course I do. You know it.” I told him snd walked up to him. “It didn’t seem so.” He said and made eye contact. “What do you mean “it didn’t seen so’” I quoted him “Why did you go at Hyun-Ho first when I’m your loved.” He said and that’s when I knew what was up.

“Are you jealous?” I teased him and he sighed. “Of course. That jock freak has liked you for a long time now.” He said face turning into anger. Huhhh?? Hyun-Ho likes me?? Well damn.

“We both know I only love you.” I said and sat down next to him taking his hand onto mine and squeezing it a bit. “I love you.” I told him again.

He gave me s faint smile before standing up and pulling me into a hug. “I’ll make sure we get both out of here. Together.” He reassured me. And I nodded to his chest.

Few nights later

We were at a swimming pool looking around. I felt like it was pointless but I didn’t give up, I believed Yoon-Seo she was one of my best friends.

I was all the way back almost other side of the room and I heard people talking bit then I thought I saw something in the water.

I crouched down and tried to look again, but I couldn’t see anything anymore. Weird. I tried to look around with my hand and putted it in the water moving it around a bit.

Nothing. I started to get up but then felt a strong tug and I was face first in the water. I gasped and water filled my lungs as I tried to swim back to the surface. I got back to the surface and started coughing and saw Kyung-Jun and everyone else running to the side I was on.

“y/n!” He screamed as he reached me and extended his hand. “I’m okay..” I said and tried to grab his hand but then something tugged me again and I was underwater unable to swim back up.

I heard a splash and felt arms wrap around but my vision was blurry. I gasped for air when I was back up and started coughing hard.

I was in Kyung-Juns arms and Jun-Ha pulled me up as Kyung-Jun tried to lift me. I got on the floor still coughing and people gathered around me. Kyung-Jun basically jumped out of water and came to me.

“What happened?!”

“Are you alright!”

I was getting bombed with questions. “I..” I tried to speak but nothing came out. “Shut up!” Kyung-Jun shouted at everyone l. “Leave her be. She needs to rest!” He said and picked me up in a bridal style and started walk away.

“Message the plan then. Now I’m taking care of my woman.” He said and walked away leaving everyone behind.

He took me to a room and wrapped a towel around me. “I thought I was gonna die.” I told him and felt tears starting to form. “But you’re not. I don’t know what happened but from bow on I’ll protect you always.” He said and wrapped his arms around me.

Ok ok I want you to think about swap terukane so like clock keeper Teru x exorcist Akane. And also like Akanes the super super popular school president. Yea so like thoughts/headcanons?? (I always cook up the most insane ideas in the middle of the night and I actually remember this one vaguely!)

Let’s talk about the Terukane swap au!! I’ve seen a few people write and draw for this but I’ve never rly read any of the fics or looked too much into it so I’m entirely making this shit up on my own, Ik this is a popular trope so I apologize if I miss any of the sub tropes that are included with it ;-;

It’s hard for me to separate Teru or Kou from exorcism since the Minamotos were a real life clan, but I don’t think I’d go about this in the “Akane is a Minamoto and Teru is an Aoi” way. I suppose for this au it’s most reasonable to say the Minamotos are a regular family and the Aois are the exorcist clan. That provides another fun question tho, are the Akane girls still kannagi?? Since this is strictly a Terukane swap au I’ll assume they are, though if we wanted to take it further we could swap Aoi with Nene or one of the other characters. It’s easier for me to follow strict guidelines tho so I’m gonna keep it at just Terukane being swapped

That alone changes so much of the story tho, it’s very interesting to me. We’ll say the Minamotos are still a strict/traditional family, so there’s still some pressure on Teru and Kou. Just not to the extent that there is in canon. And assuming their mom still died in due to complications from childbirth, their dad would still be absent and Teru and Kou will still have to grow up too soon by raising Tiara. But things would be significantly easier on them since they’d be taking care of the family together. Teru would learn basic life skills like cooking, which would take a load off of Kou. Then since the work would be split, they’d both have more free time on their hands. If one of them wants to hang out with friends, the other can take over cooking and cleaning for the night. Tho that would lead to numerous sibling arguments, since Teru is the oldest he’d probably push Kou around a bit when they’re younger lol. He’d run that house like the military

I want to say Kou is the one the Clock Keepers threaten him with since Teru is so protective of him, but that wouldn’t rly work since they wouldn’t be at school together during Teru’s first year of junior high. As an oldest sibling, Teru is very protective by nature, so they might be able to choose any random student. Once they have him where they want him, they throw in some threats aimed at his siblings to secure their chances of making a contract. So Teru ends up going down the same self-sacrificial route we see in canon, he becomes a Clock Keeper so that no one else has to do it

Without any siblings, Akane is the soul beholder of the family legacy. Self-sacrifice isn’t even an option for him, he’s the only one who can succeed his parents so he must do it. Then there’s Aoi, his childhood best friend. If Akane were an exorcist and they grew up together, Aoi would find out about supernaturals way sooner. Maybe he tells her himself, because he can no longer carry the burden alone. And he knows she’s a kannagi, that something bad could happen to her someday if he doesn’t keep a close eye on her, so he has to watch her like a hawk. In this au there’s not as many secrets between them, so much is at stake so they have to be transparent with each other. Akane’s honesty inspires Aoi to be more honest with him as well. So the obsession between them, platonic or otherwise, is a lot more mutual. They developed sort of a trauma bond at an early age and now they have to look out for each other

Akane’s popularity comes from his natural inclination to help others. He’s such a kind person, even if he can be aggressive. And without him having to constantly chase Aoi, no one thinks he’s a weirdo. It’s a little odd that he’s so protective of his friend, but he’s so damn nice that everyone just shrugs it off as him being sweet. Teru though? Teru is the weirdo

His family is still strict but without the same expectations placed on him, there’s no need for him to try and excel at everything. No one cares if he’s the best student so he can do whatever he wants. And yeah, he’s pretty, but he’s also loud and annoying. He teases people and gets creepily sadistic at times. This ties into my audhd Minamotos headcanon, without the pressure he’s under in canon, Teru feels less of a need to mask. He still does it to some extent due to societal pressure and all but the only opinion he really cares about are those of his siblings, so he’s content to be himself. He makes a few friends this way too, he’s not exactly popular but the people who get him get him. I’m gonna make him friends with Nene in this au, she appreciates his realness

Because of Akane’s hatred for supernaturals, they don’t get along at first. Teru joins the Student Council to keep a better eye on everyone so he can do better at his job as a Clock Keeper. Kou attending Kamome and getting closer with supernaturals has a lot to do with it. When they first meet, Akane ties Teru up and tries to interrogate him but bcuz this is Less Traumatized Teru it goes way differently than he planned. Teru’s filter is nonexistent so when Akane tries to threaten him he’s just like “oh hello cute boy I like you very much.” But the thing is, Akane can’t tell if Teru is joking or not. He assumes he must be, because there’s no way a School Mystery feels things like love and crushes. Still, Teru is so painfully Just A Regular Dude that Akane is forced to see him differently. Cue the typical Terukane “relationship built on trust” shenanigans. Reluctant partners in crime and what not

I’m not gonna go as far as to say they have a Sakura and Natsuhiko type dynamic but it’s similar. The classic “are you flirting with me?” “have been for the past 10 years, thanks for noticing” meme. Think of it as all of Teru’s jokes about liking Aoi in canon if they were directly aimed at Akane instead. Then the “wait- do you have genuine feelings for Ao-chan?” scene becomes “do you have genuine feelings for me?” or “were you serious this whole time?” Their dynamic changes a lot after that. Akane starts flirting back, and instead of using Aoi to motivate Teru he uses himself. “Help me save her and I might take you up on that offer for a date.” And then they do go on a date, at the school festival right before everything turns to shit

Adding to that, in this au I imagine Aoi and Akane are the ones betrothed in the new timeline. This brings in conflict bcuz let’s say Akane used to have feelings for Aoi but those faded over time, it’s all platonic between them now as opposed to what we see in canon. So he has the opportunity to either be with the girl he used to love, the girl he’s been with all his life, his safety blanket…or go back to the boy who’s stolen his heart. Damn that was cheesy, I’m cooking here

Kako also becomes Teru’s father figure btw bcuz he needs one. And despite his dislike for supernaturals, Teru adores Mirai bcuz she reminds him of Tiara. Found family ftw

I actually think Tim in a trio would be cute. I don’t trust DC not to make it weird of course but as far as headcanons go I could see him trying that out for a bit. One partner is of course Kon. DC can fight it all they want but I do think someday (maybe when I’m 70) Tim and Kon will end up canon.

Anyway, temporary trio wise I think Tim, Kon, and maybe a new character. I have no issue with Bernard but I always feel like DC shoved him in there to cut off timkon talk so I have a hard time seeing him as anything permanent y’know? But then again that would work as a transition into timkon when the trio ends. Amicably!! I’m so not here for drama.

I’d like to see a woman in there maybe, for some balance. No not Steph. I know some fans are still really married to the idea of them but the whole manic pixie dreamgirl thing has never been my jam personally. That’s why I’m generally attracted to the batfam. I like stoics. Yes, Dick isn’t my fave either (drawing all kinds of targets on myself tonight).

I feel like figuring out sexuality is so…basic and static in comics. Like yeah they talk about it being a journey of discovery but we don’t really *see* that, they just say it.

I think I’ve seen Bart as a popular third. Idk if that’s in line with him as a character at all since I’m less familiar with him but I’m open to it. I do kinda like the idea of an Amazon about their age. I know the supe/bat/amazon thing is common ground but hey it works really good. I can’t argue with it. I like reading superwonderbat too. Sue me.

If we wanna shake things up it would be interesting if it was a male Amazon. I mean we know men aren’t allowed to stay there so they must go somewhere. I think it would be interesting to see a male character from a culture where women are in control and that’s considered normal. No hate about it just, yeah that’s how it is here. I get bored of the sausage club that is the batfamily but I’ll take it if that means an interesting third.

sidebar: I really wish Cass was in more stories and we could have more girldad Bruce moments. I feel like DC tries to do the “girlpower” thing by putting all the girls on teams together and honest to god I do not care. I wanna see Batman and his kick ass daughter and her brothers, together.

It’s almost a shame Cass was adopted bc she would fit as a good third but of course we can’t do that for obvious reasons. Maybe in an AU, but I’d be more sad if she didn’t have batdad instead.

Anyone have any ideas about a third? I’m curious. Keeping in mind they'd need to get along with Tim and Kon on some level obvs or why would any of them bother.

Edit: How do we feel about Connor? I realized the rep for Ace characters is abysmal and I think Tim and Kon would be really sweet and understanding compared to like, idk a lot of other characters in general. Tbh I think of Tim as demi but idk if DC can handle that Bi was hard enough for them. But then I think I’d want them to stay a trio too. Idk y’all is Connor around their ages I seriously can’t keep up with how DC rearranges timelines. I DO know it would probably cause Bruce and Ollie to get catty with each other around the holidays and that’s always a bonus in my book.

You make great art!

Your opinions on Vi’s alternate designs?

I could stare at her all day. Perfection.

Design wise? Her final one is (chef's kiss) SUCH a good balance of showing and contrasting Violet’s personality.

And the alternates show why!

She’s a nerd. Shorthand for that is usually glasses, as seen in almost all her alternative designs. (Think Velma from Scooby Doo.) Not a bad trope.

But at the same time, does her character need a visual short hand for smartness?

Just the way Violet SPEAKS tells you she’s a nerd. She uses big words, and calls people by their full names. When we first meet her it’s in a LIBRARY and her and Webby instantly start switching between various ancient languages.

We don’t need glasses to know she smart and a nerd.

So unless the show is willing to commit to some moments or gags where Violet loses her glasses / takes them off specifically not to see something / cleans them regularly as a character tick (think Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Conservation of Character Design says get rid of them.

Which the show creators did.

(also her introduction scene includes Quackfaster, and I appreciate that, instead of them both wearing glasses- a thing that isn't actually about smartness literally it's just wanting to be able to see- the thing Violet shares with the Terrifying Librarian is... hair tie / hair band, including the color thereof.)

(It's a more personal choice. And it's message is "Practical")

Next is clothing style. Most of her alternates have a more fancy, ‘outfit’ kinda look to them. Like this is something she put together to get a specific Look. Nothing wrong with that. Nerds can be fashionable (Ellie Woods queen thereof).

But… there isn’t anything in Violet’s personality, story, or situation that connects to that idea.

Her things are Books, Learning, Forbidden Magics, Honorable Conduct in Contests and Duels, Adopting Stray Shadow Teens Off The Street As Her New Sister, Brining Pie To A Sleepover, Smacking Invading Moon People With A Spiked Mace, and Using Tibetan Breathing Techniques To Survive Eating Three Bowls Of Deadly Hot Spices In A Row.

The closest she gets to caring about her appearance is when her and Webby (and then her and Lena) put on gruesome costume make up and prosthetics for fun.

So a snazzy outfit, while cool, doesn’t really… jive with the vibe of Violet Sabrewing.

Nerd clothes, like a vest, isn’t needed the same reason glasses aren’t. Also the details would be a pain to draw over and over again. Even Webby’s clothes don’t have that much little bits in them.

High collars again look cool… but Lena’s already got that covered. Stand them next to each other, and where’s the contrast?

Violet wouldn’t “pop” next to Lena if they had that on top of Violet’s dark color scheme and Lena’s dark sweater.

Wearing the same thing (to show characters are connected to each other) works best when either the color or the style DOES contrast sharply

(Huey Louie Dewy and May June wearing basically the same thing as their siblings, but in very different colors)

(side note I’ll make a separate thing for someday: Lena and Webby with button down collar shirts worn under something, but with different style, effect, and colors)

The leggings are seen on two of Violets alternates and I think that got picked for Meta Simplicity and also In-Character Practicality.

They’re athletic, the kind of thing that isn’t at risk of snagging on stuff (befitting an eventual Senior Junior Woodchuck), and the dark color balances out with her hair. And they’re VERY easy to draw. Very good!

Sweater.

Sweater with turtle neck (unless it’s one of those very loose ones) usually gets used as shorthand for “Comfort over Appearance” (Velma again, contrasting Daphne)

And in this case it’s a contrast with Lena who LOOKS like she doesn’t care at first glance but actually has put maybe the most effort into her outfit (sweater stolen from favorite band, dyed her hair, wears bright colored converse in a world where most people go bare foot)

and Webby, who is wearing basically a uniform (picked by her Granny or by herself while daydreaming of experiencing Normal School Things???)

So to balance out Lena’s rebel teen punk look, and Webby’s prim and proper look, Violet has a comfort and practicality look.

BUT!

They kept the eyeshadow.

A VERY GOOD MOVE.

See, eyeshadow on someone who wears an ‘outfit’ (Lena, Daisy) says fashion minded and image conscious.

(this includes Beakly the former spy taking up the role of grandmother).

Eyeshadow on someone who wears a non-snazzy turtle neck and legging with her hair tied away from her face in a simple ponytail says something else completely-

It says, Violet likes eyeshadow, and that is the ONLY reason she wears it.

Either she doesn’t notice that it’s unusual to do this, or she doesn’t care.  

THAT is showing her personality.

If it’s that she doesn’t know it’s unusual, then that fits with her in the Woodchuck Challenge not knowing about smack talk until Lena teaches her, and in Friendship Hates Magic brining a pie to a sleepover, and in The Split Sword of Swanstantine wondering in the middle of a fight if she should change in to more occasion appropriate clothes instead of, you know, running.

Smart yes, savvy to social norms? Not so much.

If it’s that she doesn’t care, then that fits with her direct and blunt way of getting what she wants out of situations, never mind others' objections-

-Instantly running to Webby’s loft so she can see the picture of the demon lord and confirm the crookedness of his fang, repeatedly pressing for using the runes to try contacting the shadow realm despite Webby’s nervous boggle deflections, happily employing smack talk so she can learn it properly without stopping to ask what it’s effect on her competitor might be..

So the clothes of her final design all work really, REALLY well telling new parts of Violet’s personality, without just repeating what we’d instantly know from listening to her talk for half a minute.

Hair.

One of her alternates has loose floofy hair, which I imagine is what canon her would look like without the hair tie, and it rocks.

But the hair tie is kinda important.

Violet isn’t a book nerd who never leaves the library- She’s active, she gets in the thick of things, she’s happy to jump in a fight, and she’s a Junior Woodchuck. Practicality, again, makes more sense. Keeping her hair out of her face works with her character.

Her little flop of bangs is really fun to me too because… well…. It reminds me of Lena.  

Again, it’s different enough to pop while the two stand together, but it’s there. Lena has flopped bang thing. Violet has a curly bang thing. They are sisters. It’s cute!

Also helps her silhouette stand out more against Webby and Lena, who’s hair is pretty smooth and down in general. Gives her this sharp thing that moves around and makes her extra easy to pick out, even when you just see part of her head. Important for a main side-character.

If you're going to add detail, add it to the silhouette -> very big visual payoff.

Colors! COLORS!!!!

Already mentioned the pants balancing her hair nicely, dark on top, dark below, but then there’s her eyeshadow and sweater!

They ALSO tie her with Lena!!!!

Lena’s shirt, hidden under her sweater, is pale blue- the same color her friendship magic is later- it’s the color of Lena being happy and being connected to people.

And Violet’s eyeshadow, is also blue? And Lena’s eyeshadow is purple! Like Violet!

Eyeshadow! That thing both her and Lena wear, them the Sabrewing Sisters, but Webby doesn’t!

That’s so cool! That’s a way to show a connection between them AND their personal tastes, before they even become family! And once they ARE family it helps them visually LOOK like one!

Also, Violet’s green sweater?

Again we’ve got the color contrast compliment thing (huey red dewy blue louie green) this time with Team Magic: Webby pink, Lena blue, Violet green. It helps them feel… individual in scenes they’re all in frame together, while also making them look good next to each other.

The choice of all of team magic’s colors to be either more pastel or duller than the Primary Colors Trio also lets all six of them work together visually, like in Nightmare on Killmoter Hill.

But again, LENA.

Lena has two other bright colors tucked into her design, aside from her pale blue.  

The pink in her hair (visual cue to Webby) and her lime green shoes. Green. GREEN. It’s enough of an important color for it to ALSO be in her friendship bracelet.

And it’s the main color Violet, her adopted little sister, wears.

Oh my heart….

Finally, it’s looks like they tested out ideas of Violet being some kind of, parrot maybe, or wren, or such.

I love her being a humming bird for one very queer reason.

Female violet sabrewing humming birds are actually green, not purple.

And Violet.

Is purple.

Just like her dads.

So on the whole, looking at the designs Violet could have had, I guess I’d say they’d make nice occasional outfits for her...

but if you’re going to make her an important supporting member of the cast and if you have to draw her over and over again, almost always with the same other two characters… and if those characters are Webby and Lena...

Then they picked exactly the right design to go with <3

The name’s Phoenix (He/him). I am a gay trans-man and also have some craaazy AuDHD chat. I’m extremely obsessed with transformers, and unsurprisingly, this blog is going to be about Transformers related stuff, plus, honestly just whatever the hell I feel like posting. This is an ask blog (if that’s the right term? Lmao). It’ll mostly be me answering asks in my inbox and such (more details on that further below).

Art Fight attack on @mages-ballad Black Au Ra is her character, blue dragon is Genji my wol. I’m really happy I found another character with a similar backstory to Genji’s and could draw them fighting for their homeland together. Someday I’ll have to write his whole backstory down. Maybe a comic.

Hello I’m brave enough to offer insight (but not enough to show my face). As you guessed, it’s a combo of having nostalgia for DC animated properties and struggling get into comics.

The pre-ordering comics system confuses me. The comic shop near me only does pre-orders and it’s not for everything? I tried to order a new Flash thing and couldn’t because it wasn’t offered. And I don’t know why! The entire process seems expensive and requires me to be plugged into comics news. And I’m. Not. Which I could solve via 🏴‍☠️but I don’t have enough faith in my ad blocker for 🏴‍☠️. So most of my comics knowledge outside of comic adaptions (tv shows, radio plays, movies) comes from people posting panels on this website.

I don’t create content, but I like to draw and read what other people have to say about a Chara. I will read character essays literally forever. It brings me joy during my lunch break. I want to continue to play in the space. I have a 200+ comics read list, but I haven’t started because I feel Iike someone standing in the cereal aisle, just completely overwhelmed by choice. And also like the cereal is behind glass and I have to ask a grumpy attendant to get a box for me. And about half of the boxes have the gnarliest box art I’ve ever seen in my life.

This isn’t to invalidate how annoyed people can get at fanon spaces. I get it. Esp in comics where a lot of people’s first encounter the material through Ao3, which causes its own set of problems. But you asked for an explanation and this is what I’ve got. Comics are hard to get into, animation and fanon are easy to experience, easier to get for free, and will often point me towards the comic stuff *actually worth reading*. Go in peace.

As a P.S. there’s another problem where me as a child did try to get into comics around 2008, picked up a book with my favorite lady hero in it and uh. Quickly realized these books wrote to a demogaphic that was not me. At 13 it felt like the writers didn’t seem to care about this Chara as much as I did beyond being sexy. Which can maybe be taken with a grain of salt b/c y’know. I was 13.

Not all comics are like this! I know that! But in the back of my mind everytime I pick up a comic I’m expecting the worst. And while that can be fun - sifting through years of history to find gems of art or writing- personally I find it frustrating and would rather wait and have the comic events distilled for me via wiki, tv show, movie, or…fanon. Maybe I’ll use the DC app when I have more money.

Thank you for taking the time to write out such a well-thought out answer and it does offer some great insight as to why someone might be hesitant to start reading comics - and I get it.

There's nuance in all comic experiences and comics!

They're sexist, they're not, they're dated, but amazing progressive, they're hard to get into, actually not they're not fans have put together lovingly curated reading lists etc etc etc.

No two comic fans, or DC fans experiences are the same. What I DO appreciate though is that you take the time to stop and question/research first which is a hell of a lot better than some.

I hope someday soon you get the energy to read some of those comics because really, there is nothing better than reading them yourself to gain knowledge - no matter how much meta you read, no matter how concise the wiki, no matter how thorough your friends are reading them is the best way. Because then the canon is yours, its your world then to do what you will.

Helloo, hi! Hope you’re doing well :) I recently started reading PJO fanfics and I really love yours! Could I request a Percy Jackson cabin and dating matchup with some h/cs?

I am a Cancer, ESTJ(though I feel more like an I sometimes), I have really dark brown hair that’s straight and ends about half an inch above my shoulders. I’m also just barely above 5ft, have brown eyes, and Asian(South Korean, to be exact). My aesthetic is a mix of dark academia and royalcore.

Personality: It varies a LOT, actually. In front of my friends I’m usually loud and like to play rough a lot, but when I’m around family or by myself I’m really quiet and keep mostly to myself. I’m also really stubborn, competitive, negative, and I can keep my head cool when something big happens but completely lose it if there’s a minor inconvenience(notes being ripped, etc.). My love language is physical touch and I tend to be sorta distant with my family, and my hobbies include drawing(I want to be an artist someday!), listening to music/singing, reading(but only reading and re-reading a few specific fandoms) and coming up with elaborate characters/stories and researching a ton of stuff for them. I also love Marvel and animals(especially big cats). I hate when people make fun of me for my height and my biggest pet peeve is when people lack common sense. I would like an s/o who I can both love and hate(we’d be bickering all the time and still always be linking arms or they’d have an arm around me etc.). My fatal flaw would be pride.

Periodically I’m reminded that I still want to do an art book of all my Felid characters (unfortunately it can’t include all of them, as some were made by others whom I can’t contact for various reasons), and that leads to me looking through them all and remembering just how much my art has evolved since 2009, when I started this series. I intended only to do “final” model sheets for everyone, but even then, my art has gone from pen and colored pencil on paper to digital, and at this stage, flipping through a book of all the art would be a fascinating look at how art changes as you keep at it, even if you’re not actively trying. Anyway, here’s a few of them. I still have quite a few left to draw, but maybe someday I’ll get them all done and be able to put some kind of publication together. Long-term goal, anyway.

Admittedly part of the goal of this post is to try and kick myself into finishing the next Felid in the series, Sphinx, who is sketched and partially inked. I really need to get to work on them if I want to finish the series in the next five years, as I still have... *counts* 36 to go. Though a few of those are other folks’ characters, so I may skip them. I only have so many years left in me, after all...

What to be When I Grow Up

From a young age, I knew I would always be poor. I loved too many artistic paths and made peace with the fact that they wouldn’t bring in much of an income. Granted, neither does working a normal people minimum wage job, but I digress.

Fashion designer: I love clothes, I love putting together outfits. I also loved the concept of designing whatever I wanted, whatever I couldn’t usually find in stores. I wanted also, to create styles that fit larger body types or, at the very least, curvy ones. Then I realized I had to know math… which I don’t.

Interior designer: organizing is a desirable pastime for me. I thoroughly fancy fitting items in my house into the perfect spots. I enjoy making livable spaces in less-than-ideal places. I find it satisfying to turn a room into a home. I still dream about doing that with a future home, and I dreamt about doing it for the homes of others. Then I realized I had to know math… which I still don’t.

Manhunt participant: I vaguely knew of the show Manhunt, but I really wanted to just play the game for a living. I wanted to run around in the forest and hide and climb trees and bound over mud and dive into thorny crevasses. I knew this wasn’t exactly a realistic option, but I could still hope.

Actor: I did an acting program after graduating for three months. I had an agent. I went to three auditions, though one was for a magazine shoot and only one was for a show. The agent dropped everyone on his roster to pursue making youtube movies, whatever that means. I decided against moving to Vancouver when I moved out because the pandemic was beginning and I didn’t want to be alone in a city as the world went to shit. I also knew that since it’s so ungodly expensive there, I’d have no time to go to auditions since I’d be stuck working multiple jobs to pay my rent.

Digital artist: I still hope to do this one someday, I just cannot afford an iPad right now. I love drawing and creating and have a lot of interest in animation. Maybe when my brain starts working and my wallet stops crying, it could become a reality.

Author: Again, hoping to do this one someday too. Just need time and a working brain. I have three books in my head, probably around eighty characters now, a show, a soundtrack, and many spin-off side-quest stories within the existing fictional universe. I have all the things in my noggin, just no noggin fuel to get it all out.

Dancer: I was always on and off with this one. I’ve done dance for twenty-one years but I don’t have a lean figure, I like food, and I never really knew if I was good at it or not. In the last year, this occupation’s spark has been rekindled, for now I know I’m good enough, I know people who think I’m worthy, and I know I can keep improving. The only thing holding me back is my deteriorating body, but once I figure out why I’m suffering, dancing is first on the list.

So there you have it, my answers to “what do you want to be when you grow up?” They haven’t changed, I’ve had the same hopes and dreams for more than a decade. I still want to gallivant in the forest, design my own clothes, decorate my house, act in fascinating shows, draw fanart for my unwritten book, and dance away my chronic pain. If I have a high school reunion, I’m curious to see how many of these dream occupations I’ll have crossed off my list.

How can I express myself without doing too much? It’s really not easy. What can I say, if it’s only a big thank you, I’m talking to Bojack, but I’m also talking to all the creative teams behind who have done a crazy job. We spent time together, it’s funny to think that I know you, Bojack, but you don’t know us. The world is so beautiful and cruel at the same time. It is so difficult today to find its place. We’re looking for each other and somehow you helped me find me. I cried, I laughed with you. Thoughts so deep, sometimes stupid that you and your friends might have had, it’s funny because we have them all. Today I am studying in the audiovisual sector, to be behind the camera. You are totally involved. I’ve always loved to create, I draw, I sculpt, I make music and singing and when I saw you, I wanted to touch another, larger universe than cinema. I don’t care if I’m famous or not, I don’t care if I’m struggling my whole life maybe and not making a lot of money. The only thing I know for sure is that I want to be able to do what I love. Without realizing it, you were one of the most decisive years for my future. The loss of my father, those moments of loneliness that made me a lonely person, who was partying too much and getting lost. But I felt like I was finding you and your friends (well I don’t have your success and I didn’t create as many disasters as you) but my life almost became one. I loved you and I hated you. Maybe because you made me think too much about the worlds around me, has this feeling of loneliness but sometimes happiness. Waow. Just Waow. It’s a strange feeling though when a character behind a screen breaks a barrier in someone’s heart and becomes so real. You are not a horse with no name, you are Bojack Horseman. The person who managed to convince a horny young girl that yes in life must make sacrifices, that we go through periods where life is a hell but that deep down we must do what we love and not let the word happiness make us shit, only to find ourselves again, don’t lose sight of who you really are.

You’ve been afraid of failure your whole life, you’ve hurt a lot of people maybe but you’ve done me a lot of good and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I would also like to convey to all the teams behind you a lot of love and a deep respect for this colossal work. Maybe someday I’ll have a bojack to work with, a bojack to shine a thousand lights, like it makes you shine. Thank you for proving to the world that the art of animation, of cinema, of writing touches and will always touch the world.

whats your opinion on sakumei??

Sakumei my beloveds🙏🏻 I need them to interact in canon since they were shown together in ASHK and seemed to be friends (granted, only in a dream), that tells me AidaIro know they’d get along. Personally I really like headcanons about them dating before the series began, maybe even before Sakura met Natsuhiko. I like to imagine they’d both be lonely, Sakura with no one to fulfill her wish yet and Mei trying to make sense of who she is right after Original Mei’s death. I like a bit of angst with them, specifically with the concept of Sakura not being able to admit her feelings and playing their relationship off as a fling (Casual vibes). Though I also eat up Sakumei fluff so I could really go either way, they definitely seem like the type to stay friends after breaking up and maybe even get back together (bcuz I’m a sucker for happy endings). There aren’t many fan fictions for them on ao3 but surprisingly, the ones that do exist are like super good and I would recommend them to any fanfic readers. Sometimes femslash fics aren’t given the same amount of effort as slash ones (no shade tho I eat up every femslash fic) so I’m glad Sakumei writers give them the love they deserve. I’ll have to write a fic for them someday too once I finish all the million other ideas I’m drowning in rn. To me their characters have insanely compatible personalities, like I could see them as judgy girlfriends who don’t speak much unless they have something to say. Their dates would be a lot of parallel play with Mei drawing while Sakura reads, and somehow it works for both of them. That just gave me a fic idea. Well, off to Google Docs!

I just thought that maybe I didn’t translate the question in such a way, so I’ll write a couple of fan facts about Kasumi as a bonus to the answer. ahem.

She was born into a fairly wealthy family, so that's one of the reasons why she works so quietly for free at s&s.

She is an average student and is always stressed before exams. Like, she literally scares Reigen by storming into the office looking like a tortured zombie.

Sometimes she falls asleep at work in the evening. Or just like that, she likes to sleep.

She is often used as bait on assignments, which she is shocked every time, but still agrees.

At some point, she is late with the payment of the rent of the apartment (because she stupidly forgot about it, and the owner of the house was tired of delays) As a result, she spent the night in the office (and then Teru let her in. Maybe I will draw this moment someday. this is something like an arc for bringing together the characters of Teru and Kasumi)
