It had been a tough game.

Kara's back ached, and the light sprain on her ankle would hurt for days. She was happy to spend the rest of the weekend at home, where she could relax and not worry about food, laundry, or cleaning her room. She threw her bag behind the door and sighed, turning on the light.

Something was off.

Kara scanned her room under the bright, cold light, her eyes jumping from her desk—impeccable—her closet (closed), and finally, her bed.

Coffee, the family cat, purred happily while he napped on the clean sheets.

But Kara was supposed to get new sheets this weekend. Weird.

She joined the cat, scratching his dark ears. "What happened here, buddy?"

The cat blinked lazily, stretched his butt up in the air, and licked a spot on the mattress. Kara leaned down and sniffed on the spot, pulling the fitted sheet to check under the mattress.

A new stain.

But what…

Lexa's grin crossed her mind and Kara groaned, yelling, "Clarke! What the fuck, Clarke!"

"Language!" Jake yelled from his office down the hall.

Lexa was going to pee blood for a week after Kara was done with her.

A not weekly magazine schedule is literally common !! Especially in the seinen shoujo and josei demographics, sometimes monthly, sometimes biweekly, sometimes every two months, sometimes seasonal! Please stop lying about how Dunmeshi was some special unique creation that defies all standards of manga just to hype it up because it is so clear that every single one of these comparisons is centered around Weekly Shonen Jump (and understand that SJ has many magazines under its brand that are monthly or semimonthly). Not everything is WSJ and it needs to stop being the only point of reference in conversations like this 🤧

So! Clark is a Kid, and he is making a sandwich, but the Ketchup he puts on it accidentally makes a Summoning Sigil.

He turns around to find a Glowing Eldritch Being floating behind him.

He stares at the Eldritch Beast.

The Eldritch Beast stares at him.

Clark wordlessly picks up 2 more slices of bread, makes a other sandwich, and offers it to Being.

It takes the Sandwich, looks at him, and smirks before saying, "Not bad." And disappearing.

The next day, Clark's parents told him that they were going to have an extremely bountiful Harvest that year, and that they would be able to pay off all of their remaining Debts, lifting all of the stress that he had seen them begin to accumulate over the years.

Later that week during the Party to celebrate their success, Clark sneaks away with a plate of Food, draws that same circle on his favorite Tree, and leaves the Plate of food alongside a note saying "Thanks!"

And thus was the start of an incredible, but rather strange, friendship.

Amatonormativity has destroyed so many people's understanding and acceptance of themselves, and it's heartbreaking.

Yes, it is normal to be in your 20s, 30s, or older and not have lost your virginity, had a first kiss, or a partner. It is normal to say that you aren't ready for those things, too! It is normal if your life doesn't follow the "college graduate -> engagement -> buying a home -> 2.5 kids and a dog" trajectory that so many people have idealized.

So many people associate maturity with losing your virginity, or having a first kiss, or a serious relationship, and I think that's a dangerous association. Maturity isn't gained through those things, and you don't have to have those experiences to be considered "mature" or "grown." It is not a bad thing to go at your pace. Nobody else can live your life but you. If you end up having those experiences, that's great! But it should be done because you want to experience them, not because you feel "broken" and "immature" without them.
