#maybe next episode we’ll see everyone come together

I watched 3x03 of Picard today, and there’s just too much stuff going on in one episode. They have all of this stuff that they’re trying to cram into 10 episodes and it just doesn’t work that way. They could have split this episode into 2 or 3 episodes. The Raffi/Worf stuff could have been its own episode. Then the Picard/Riker/Beverly/Seven stuff could have been a separate episode (or two). I know they’re trying to show that all of them are working in paralell for the same thing (Worf and Raffi together, and the group with Picard on the ship), and they will probably all meet up to fight together, but they really could have done the same thing with two separate episodes. Hopefully after both teams meet up and start all working together the episodes won’t be so chaotic, but judging by seasons 1 and 2, they probably will be. This could have been a 15-20 episode season and I say this after only 3 episodes lol.

Is “Prime Meridian Love” Forshadowing for “Battle of the Big Wand”?

With the most recent episodes of “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish” airing, everyone, myself included, is buzzing over what’s going to happen in the big season finale, what exactly is going to happen, and what’s the future state of Hazel and Dev’s friendship? There are many theories going around, but I want to pitch my own!

“Prime Meridian Love: Romance Cruise Ultra” is foreshadowing towards Hazel and Dev’s conflict and plot. Obviously, the show has drawn us a parallel here before, Duckworth looks like Dev. But rewatching the episode “Prime Meridian Love”, along with the context from new episodes and the description for the finale has me thinking that we may already know what’s to come.

Starting with the most basic- Duckworth and Kennueth are stand-ins for Dev and Hazel. Duckworth is literally designed to look like Dev, and while less obvious, Kennueth seems to share a basic colour palette with Hazel, his skin and amulet being the colours of her shirt. There’s also the fact that Duckworth and Kennueth are described as “rivals”, and Hazel calls Dev her own rival.

This is where the backstory / history between Duckworth and Kennueth becomes relevant. The amulets are the one thing they share, and what’s something magical that Hazel and Dev have in common? Fairies!

The story goes that Kennueth and Duckworth were once friends, their friendship cemented by what bound them together. But Duckworth became jealous of Kennueth once he got promoted to captain. Sounds familiar? Hazel and Dev became friends, and shared the secret of having fairy godparents. They fell out over Dev’s jealously of Hazel, and that his dad seemed to care more about her, even if in an unconventional way.

Duckworth retalliates by stealing the magical pearl from the ancient sea temple, hoping for the power to overthrow Kennueth. Which brings me to my theory about the series finale, “Battle of the Big Wand”. Teaming up with Irep, I think Dev’s jealousy of Hazel having his father’s attention, as well as having two fairies while he only has one, will motivate him to steal the titular “Big Wand” during the takeover of Fairy World, hoping that it can grant him unlimited power, in his fleeting pursuit of satisfaction.

While the story of “Prime Meridian Love: Romance Cruise Ultra” goes on to say that this event cements their rivalry, the episode has Hazel and Kennueth stop Dev, and Hazel encourages Kennueth to re-write the story, and make things right with him, which he does !

I think the finale will follow one of these two beats. Hazel, Cosmo, Wanda, possibly Jorgen and Peri, and maybe even the citizens of Fairy World will all help to stop Dev and Irep, and we’ll either see Hazel and Dev’s bond cemented as a rivalry, or we will see Hazel reflect on the situation, and write her own story, and actually TALK to Dev about what has been going on. Personally, I would much prefer the latter. Dev is still a kid, and he’s a product of his environment. He deserves a chance to change and grow, and have good people by his side who actually care about him, to help him do so.

The only thing that I’m still unsure about is how Hazel’s rule free wish will tie into this all, but I do think she will use it like many of her other wishes, and do so selflessly.

Ok thoughts 👏thoughts👏Everyone gather around I have thoughts about this!

Episode 2 was clearly the Pomni episode. We got to see her character get a little more fleshed out and we also got a glimpse of what motivates her which is great.

With this tweet we have solid confirmation on who the upcoming episodes will center on (thanks for not making us guess, Goose) and this lineup is really interesting.

First fascinating thing is that Kinger and Zooble share a spotlight in ep 3. Why is that? Everyone else gets their own dedicated episodes so why are they unique in that regard? What connects them?

Well, I have one idea!

So we know since the pilot that Kinger has been the one to have lived in the Circus the longest out of all of them. We’re still not sure if he was in fact the 1st human to be trapped (maybe we’ll find out in the next episode) but he definitely has the most seniority, both in age and in length of entrapment.

We also know that Zooble was the most recent character to get stuck before Pomni (and considering their attitude, it may have even been quite a while beforehand) AND is the youngest character next to Jax (they even share the same age, which could be a coincidence but it feels too deliberate of a choice).

Which means ep 2 will simultaneously focus on the oldest and the youngest of the characters.

I’m actually curious as to what their dynamic will be because they haven’t really interacted much in the pilot (and like not at all in episode 2), if they end up interacting in ep 3 at all. But mostly I’m excited to see them more fleshed out with hopefully Pomni getting the chance to bond with them (either together or separately).

My guess is that the purpose for them to share focus on an episode is to get perspective from someone who’s been there the longest and has seen more people come and go than anyone else vs. someone who was just recently in Pomni’s shoes and had probably a much different first day experience (we know Zooble cared enough about Kaufmo to personally organize his funeral so they may have some…feelings about who’s essentially his replacement).

Ep3 is also supposedly Gooseworx’s most anticipated episode so I’m extra excited.

Next we have Gangle for episode 4. I honestly don’t have a lot to say about her or the significance in her episode placement outside of her being the closest in age to Pomni (being only a year older). The only hint we get about what her episode will possibly consist of will be on how reliant she is on her ComedyMask to feel happy, which will be very interesting and we might even get some confirmation on whether her avatar was programmed with that feature upon entering the Circus or if it was an add on of sorts by Caine to help keep her sane. A pretty shitty feature if it can’t last for very long but it does make for a nice metaphor about how fragile her facade is (girl is literally masking).

Actually I don’t think her and Pomni have actually exchanged words yet in the show. Wouldn’t it be funny if they don’t up until her episode. Like Pomni is so caught up in between whatever mess episode 3 has in store for Kinger and Zooble that the two of them never actually talk and it just keeps getting more awkward. Gangle wants to talk to her but is so self-conscious about her Tragedy self that she’ll only feel safe to have a conversation if she has her mask, but it just keeps breaking before she even gets the chance.

Again this is all just speculation, if they actually end up talking in episode 3 I’ll…make ship art of them.

Anyway, episode 5. The one I’m personally waiting for because y’all should know what I’m about by now.

I swear to god if Pomni and Ragatha don’t have a fucking conversation before ep 5 I will launch myself into the sun. I’ll take anything, I just need them to get real for a second. I NEED to know the extent of this woman’s damage. It has to be explored, analyzed, and dissected and I will do so with gusto when the day comes. None of these characters will be safe from my scrutiny, but Ragatha oh ho ho, you have been living rent free in my head for too long, madame. You WILL pay your dues and I intend to collect in every episode until there is not corner of your unsound mind that I have not examined in great detail!

Ahem *Straightens tie* Ok back to business

So yeah, Ragatha.

It may be because we’ve only had 2 episodes but I can’t help but feel like we’re supposed to see Ragatha as a sort of deuteragonist since out of all of the supporting characters she’s so far been getting the most focus aside from Jax, and we’ll get to him in a minute (I promise that’s not just me being biased, or maybe it is, I don’t know, you tell me).

In just two episodes we’ve seen more of what makes her tick compared to anyone else. And of the main cast she’s been the ONLY one to make any kind of connection to the main character and have enough of a meaningful interaction with her to leave an impression.

But this is what really clinched her role as a deuteragonist for me, she’s so far been one of the few to have the narrative briefly shift to her perspective to give us significant character moments like these:

The show REALLY wants us to see just how NOT ok she is.

If she’s meant to be the heart of the group, her heart already can’t take much more damage. Her friendship (if you can call it that, it’s so painfully one sided right now) with Pomni clearly means a lot to her, so much so that her entire sense of self worth seems to be tied to it (and if you’ve been paying attention, she doesn’t have a lot of that as it is). It would be nice to see their connection gradually grow before her designated episode, where she might experience actual growth for herself.

And if episode 2 is any indication of how this show preserves friendships well…

Yeah, I don’t think she’s gonna make it.

In fact, I’m willing to bet actual money that she’s either gonna abstract in episode 5 or episode 6.

Which brings us to Jax’s episode! The other deuteragonist…tritagonist? He definitely shares some degree of significant narrative focus along with Pomni and Ragatha. He’s both an active antagonist force and one of the only characters to drive the plot forward every time he’s on screen (then there’s that weird thing where he keeps breaking the fourth wall).

He has so much significance in the story that Gooseworx gave him his own bullet point in her list of content warnings (this could also be a joke, but I mean it would be funny to see just how despicable they can make this character).

Gooseworx also described Jax and Pomni’s relationship in the show as “messy”. After episode 2, I don’t think she considers him as a candidate for any kind friendship like she did for the others, and who could blame her? In just two days the guy abandoned her to deal with an abstraction and chucked her out of a truck. He’s no one’s favorite person, and he relishes that. Bunnyboy definitely has some issues that Pomni would pick up on the more she’s forced to spend time with him. To the point where I can see her trying to eventually form some kind of bridge because, as her previously established character motivation implies, she’s not the kind of person to intentionally leave anyone high and dry. But unlike the rest of the crew, I don’t think Jax would be inclined to change for the better just because someone took pity on him. He seems like the kinda guy to dig his heels in and commit to his bad behavior out of spite.

And for his episode to come after Ragatha’s, why do I get the feeling the reason Gooseworx went so far as to preemptively apologize to bunnydoll shippers specifically is because he’s gonna cause something really really bad to happen to her (could be abstraction, could even be something much worse) that he would come to sorely regret.

And oh boy would that evoke some feelings in everyone!

I feel like if that is indeed the direction this show is going, the rest of the episodes will really be something.

I’m also certain Caine will get his own episode but right now he is very much an antagonist to these characters. I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a villain, but he’s certainly not someone Pomni is keen on sympathizing with, at least not currently.

Since the election I have deactivated some of my social media. Blocked some people I never should have ever engaged with to begin with, and unfollowed several accounts on IG that just don’t bring me joy.

And 911onabc was one.

Is it because Buck & Tommy didn’t end together? No. I’m a grown ass adult. I can be irritated by the something and not be dramatic or hateful about it.

It was because several storylines lately have been complete bullshit.

They start strong with solid good storytelling. But then..eh we’re bored. Only whatever we do absolutely can not make sense!

The lazy fucking way they wrote Christopher’s character out, and that weird ass doppelgänger storyline.

New season? Let’s start by putting Bobby and Athena through to some major disaster! Hey it worked last season! Let’s do it again! (Do not even get me started on that fucking drug cartel shit..what the hell even was that??)

We are only allowed to have one character or couple drama free at a time. And if we can’t come up with a plausible way to create discord or havoc, we’ll just do some stupid shit instead!

Spend several seasons showing the deep strong bond between Eddie and Christopher. Gavin’s family moves? Just make it something dumb..but fast! I know let’s have him get mad at his dad and ask to move in with his grandparents!! Never mind he’d never do that!

The amount of psychological trauma they have inflicted on Maddie. The near death experiences of Chimney. Jesus. Just what tf?

Hmmm. Karen and Hen..the fans would revolt if we broke them up. So let’s go after their kids!! And we can’t make it about them being gay! Let’s create this over the top villain Councilwoman Ortiz. Who’s the mother of that drunk coked up dude from the accident. Only we absolutely cannot have Hen or anyone defend what happened or shut that shit down by saying “Your son was a fucking menace and maybe if you hadn’t kept covering for him he would have gotten some fucking help and not caused an accident.” Also do not mention Hen was cleared of all wrong doing. Nope. Logic has no place here!

Ok so the fans have been clamoring for Buddie. But Eddie Diaz is straight. Period.

So hey! Let’s make Buck bisexual. And tell everyone we are getting him off the hamster wheel (because really, we’ve given him the emotional depth of a teaspoon for a while now)..And his love interest/boyfriend should be Tommy Kinard, who used to work at the 118, and we will invest time to give him a compelling backstory, and lay a ton of Easter eggs showing how richly we can mine this pairing and these characters.

And make them HAPPY for several episodes. Blissfully in love. And then totally out of the blue, let’s break them up. But the reason has to be complete bullshit, totally against character out of left field BULLSHIT. Like they should start out the episode great and about 80 percent in..wait! Let’s also make him the SAME Tommy Abbie from season one was engaged to before she started banging Buck! And then let’s make Tommy who is so into Buck it’s palpable, dump him because he’s afraid of getting his heart broken! Even though it’s one of the most tired, overdone, stupid tropes ever!!

Yeah. I don’t know WTF is going on in the writers room I would swear it’s like there’s this talented group of writers who start stories, and then they go out in Wilshire Blvd and ask some random person on the street to write the ending, but they have to do it, right there in the next 20 minutes.

No I am not going to stop watching 911 forever. I just don’t really want to see them on my IG. This last stunt, sparked only incredulity and scorn.

It’s about Self-actualization, not Sacrifice

I can’t overstate how much I Do Not Want Agatha to sacrifice herself and/or die at the end of this series, and tbh I’m mad that people are even floating that idea out in the ether.

I don’t care if her sacrificing herself for Billy or anyone else is making a different choice from how she couldn’t save Nicky or stealing witches’ powers, and is therefore “narratively satisfying.” I don’t care if her dying means she gets to be in some kind of eternity with Rio. I don’t care if she was some kind of ghost figure in the comics and we could see her specter in future projects. I do not want Force ghost Agatha.

I want living, breathing, transformed Agatha to come out of this more herself than she ever has been before. Freed from the hold her past and her limiting beliefs and her reputation has had on her for the last several centuries. I want this to be a new beginning of her journey, not the end.

Fortunately, I think Jac and the writers have my back on this. (Please, god)

The journey here on the Road is not about sacrifice. Because a) I don’t believe and have never believed that Agatha actually sacrificed Nicky for the Darkhold. Red herring, it didn’t happen that way. So there’s no narrative reversal to be had there in the first place. And b) the various deaths, the witches’ stories we’ve seen play out so far have not been about Sacrifice either, at least not primarily.

Alice ended up sacrificing her life to save Agatha, but that was not her story in that moment. That was not the narrative we were meant to see.

Alice saving Agatha in that moment was about her stepping into her power, her highest self, the Protection witch she was always meant to be free from the generational curse. Someone who cannot stand by and watch others in pain if she can do something about it. That’s her highest self.

Lilia’s sacrifice wasn’t her true journey either. Her story was about embracing her power, becoming the Traveler, playing out her story in the way she saw and accepting her gifts for what they are (your task is not to control but to see). She too, regained her full power, her full self in that moment, and took out at least five of the Seven with her. She took her power back from the fear that had been holding her for so long, and became the highest version of herself, the Queen of Cups.

Agatha’s journey isn’t about sacrifice either, it never was.

Agatha’s journey, as I’ve said in other posts, is about finding her true self, her true power, unmasking herself from all of the facades she’s worn over the years to protect herself and hide her pain. Answering the question, who IS Agatha, all along? It’s about dealing with her trauma so that she can exist as her true self, and be seen by others as her true self.

We’ll find out in the next couple episodes what that looks like but I can already tell you she’s NOT inherently evil, or inherently good. She is a woman shaped by heartbreak, grief, and sorrow. She has made choices, some bad, some good, and she is capable of making new choices. She is capable of transformation, of peeling away all the false versions of her to find who her truest self is — which I believe, is a leader, a mentor, a guide. The Mother, in many ways.

In that case, sacrificing herself for Billy or the coven or whatever isn’t the play here. It’s teaching Billy (probably, and maybe Jen) what he’s capable of and how to access his true power. It’s the same role she played for Wanda, only this time, when Billy realizes what he’s done (create the Road, probably) she’s going to help him, not fight him for his power. There’s probably also some element of them trusting each other and working together, having seen each other’s true selves.

I’m not going to try to predict the specifics, but my point is that Agatha dying at the end is simply not the move. And if she does, the only way it works is if it’s a dying on the Road to be reborn in the real world type of situation (so everyone else lives too). In which case, fine, I guess, but I still don’t want her to die. I want her to choose life. I think with everything she’s suffered, death is the easy choice. Living and changing and growing and letting people in is much harder.

Besides what an absolute fucking waste it would be of Kathryn Hahn’s talent to just kill off Agatha here and not have her show up later and irritate the shit out of some Avengers.

I will be talking about AAA Episode 5 here so if you don’t want spoilers, don't read. This also is very long. So buckle in…

Right. I will put it into facts and theories and then my actual emotions on what has come out of this. Becausem god... But we will get to that.

Fact: that episode was off. What do I mean by off? I’ll tell you:

BIG ONE: the aspect ratio didn't change. First time this happened for a trial. This is a stylistic choice to tell us it’s wrong

Another big tell: the witches road is going down. Every trial they exit going DOWN. HERE THE EXIT WAS UP

Many people have pointed out how out of character they all are. And my friend gave a great sentence: “They are what Agatha fears”. Jen becomes vile. She is usually a bitch (love you girl) but she was down right horrendous. And after the whole endearing speech in her own trial. I can maybe reason at the end when she was reasoning that Agatha was the problem. But every other time she spoke it was with such viciousness when they were all laughing together mere hours ago. And LILIA AND ALICE! They have never talked like this. Agatha has helped Alice and she wants to ‘humiliate her’? Lilia immediately turned cold and dark? It felt like it was too quick. I would get it if there was build up but Rio outright said Agatha was scared. So to treat her like that isn’t right.

The trial itself. We’ll talk about the building. I’ve looked back and there is no moon engravings on the door. Yes there is the window BUT there are no other references to the moon when every trial has an abundance. And it was not complex. It was just… do ouija, talk to a ghost and leave. Which leads onto my next point

What the actual fuck was that trial?!? Every other trial has been about uplifting these witches. This trial only uplifted Billy. That's not fair. If this was agatha’s (only) trial then it was to literally punish her and leave her with her abusive mother. I know we laugh and go ‘oh yeah Evanora bad’ no. If you don’t understand abusive parents you will not understand HOW BAD that is. Its not being told ‘yeah you should have died’ over and over. I fully believe that Evanora beat her or at the very least was so emotionally abusive that even Rio (and if you know who Rio is then you’ll want to k ow I want to stress that name) literally screamed at her. Rio is most likely the only person Agatha has confided in with what happened. And that's just talking about it. So clearly Evanora is horrible on a degree greater than most parental figures we have seen in marvel.

So to have Agatha’s trial be A) The shortest B) just to punish her C) Everyone suddenly acts the way she fears

Because back to my first point: its all what she fears: everyone she is getting close to turns on her, she accidentally kills one and feels pleasure in the magic but you can see how taken aback she was (I'm not even going to because people saying she did it all on purpose and rebelled in the death needs to actually get checked by a doctor my god, if you can't understand the very obvious drugs metaphor for a morally grey character you may need to rewatch), being left with her mum because her mother was right, Billy being like Wanda, more powerful than Agatha, and punishing her. All of it was exactly what she feared

And the reveal was… well Agatha is the smartest one there. She is my girl… but it was kinda dropped.

And he just has magic… and has a crown. This will be explained next episode but… no there is a bigger part to this. Think about Agatha’s, now THAT was a reveal. The drama, the build up. There were hints throughout the ENTIRE episode. This was dropped. There were hints to him being nick. That’s it. It will be explained next episode but

It was the shortest episode. Just no

There were Westview and Eastview flags above the door… for Agatha? Nah

Everyone just… got over Alices death I mean Agatha looked more upset than Lilia and Jen. I mean, I guess its the most explainable part, maybe they came to the harsh realisation but SOMETHING was wrong

And I would like to state now, Agatha is a BAD PERSON. But she is STILL A PERSON OH MY GOD. We literally saw that in WV. Jac HERSELF said that Agatha wants colleges and friends. Not above power but you could see on her face, you can see in the way she was staring at her hands and- Christ I didn't think people would be oblivious. You could see that so clearly. It was not even a ‘read into it’, she was upset. Whether it was for killing Alice OR because she couldn’t control it again is up to you but she was upset. She is a bad person, and that's why I love her. At the end, she realises that no one is on her side (but Rio but she wasn’t there) and she puts all the masks back up. She becomes horrible because she has just been reminded of EVERY BAD THING that has ever happened (her childhood and nick) and accidentally, once again, killed someone and felt good about it. But this time she knew Alice was helping her. She can be both upset and enjoyed the physical sensation, they can both exist. And that’s the complexity. She is a bad person and you should not be surprised when she does bad stuff, but she does also feel things…

It’s a drugs metaphor. If you need it spelt out, Magic is her drug. She has been put on a cold stop, she now has nothing. It's like, let's take something pg, if you loved eating incredibly sweet things and then suddenly don’t eat anything with sugar in. Losing all of her magic must feel horrible on an atomic and spiritual level. So Alice attacked her and the rush of euphoria after being left with NOTHING hit her as she was being possessed. Evanora left her body and she couldn’t come to her senses because of how euphoric it felt. After having nothing against her will she finally feels something. And then it stopped and you can see the confusion and shock. She can both have enjoyed it and regretted how it hurt Alice at the same time. Because the lesson has never been ‘Agatha is a downright terrible person’ and if you think that you're watching the wrong show. She is a dark character. At the end, she shuts off all her emotions and goes back to what everyone thinks anyway, her safety blanket: being horrible, being the villain and pushing everyone away. If you believe she truly loved that she killed Alice or that she felt no remorse, I will be nice and stop swearing. But rewatch. Because that's not what happened. And the mask only came on when she realised the one person there who was standing up for her (except Rio) now sees her the same as everyone else and realises he is connected to Wanda, I don't blame her for being a bitch! And what a great bitch she was! Kathryn, you are a goddess-

Anyway. Lets stop collapsing her character. She is a bad person but she is a person. She did want to get closer to these women and she did feel bad. Kathryn did not act her ass off there for people to strip it of any emotion.

Right, so, theories because this episode can't be this off for no reason.

Someone said it was a vision. I don’t think so. Good theory but Alice did die. Rio stayed behind (and anyone who knows who she is will know why). I think that did all happen but not the way it should have

Someone said when Lilia removed her hands it let lose a spirit. It didn’t. Agatha didn't start the ritual because she said “Mother maiden crone”. She said it out of turn to not start it

Theory 1: Evanora ruined it. So, someone said that it should have been nick to talk and I slightly agree. Or at least, it shouldn’t have gone that way. Evanora put new rules into the trial. It should have been Agatha fighting through it or something (kinda loose here) but she turned it so that Agatha had to stay with her. Don’t mind this theory but it doesn’t explain why everyone was a bit whack and that ending. Also, the of character stuff only happens after she removes her hands and its her fear. Did Evanora affect how she sees things? Hmmm

Theory 2: This was someones vision. I mean… maybe? But what happened at the end was real because we see them covered in mud later. I think there is mental trickery but not all of it.

Theory 3: kind of my theory that I'm slightly alright with. This was all warped by something. By the seven. I'll explain

They are fighting. What a brilliant scene. But then they fly through a crowd of insects left by vertigo. Alright here is the factor. The Salem seven are finally joining the story and they are just… left? They are just there and then leave them alone? We know they can go around trials because they went around Alice’s so why not wait on the other side for them? Why be so utterly pathetic. If these are the ‘worst’… fuck me because Lilia was harsher in that trial than they were.

Now here is where my autism kicks in and my dedication to knowing everything about Agatha comes in handy: Vertigo is the leader of the S7. She is the insect lady. In the comics, she has telepathy on a level that can incapacitate and make them see things. She is ‘the mind’. Now my friends comment made it click for me, this is what Agatha would perceive as her fear. And it only really kicks in when she removes her hands.

We see her flick a lot of bugs off of her. She is the first one through the bug crowd and clearly the ones most attacked by them. I mean none of the rest have them on them as they enter the trial but they are all over Agatha. So, there's my proposition

What if the bugs affected her mind slightly? What if they adjusted her mind ever so slightly to see her fears OR equally it affects all of them but her the worst. I may even stretch it to say they orchestrated the whole thing. Because its the third trial and it skips right to blood moon AND it’s about Evanora right when they come in, the leader of the coven they are daughters of? Too many coincidences.

This explains a lot. Maybe also with how Billy and Rio are the least affected. Billy was at the back so didn't get hit and Rio is… well Rio.

And everything is attached to her fears: everyone hates her after they were being nice, Billy turns on her and becomes more powerful and punishes her over her mistake, Rio isn't there when it happens, her mother being right. EVERY SINGLE WEIRD THING aligns with her deepest fears. So it has to be directed at her.

Theory 4 that attaches to this slightly: so lets ay this is true and explains the behaviour. We have now TWO options in my mind:

A) The trial wasn’t a real trial

B) The trial isn't over

For A, the Salem seven could have affected it? Maybe? Maybe made it themselves to purposely break them up. I think their whole gambit is to tear them apart to pick them of so Agatha is left alone. So a lot can be explained through that. Also explains the aspect ratio, this is a part of the road

For B, It says that the end is when it clicks goodbye. The trials aren't affected by what happens to the people, its what happens to the danger. Here, nothing was completed. Alice died… and that's it. The ghosts business wasn’t completed. They failed because nothing was done. And what was the objective?!? Every other trial was to uplift each witch or to complete something. In the first, they got poisoned. They solved the poison. Second, stuck in a room with a curse. Killed the curse. Third, ghost appears, ghost… abuses the main character and only leaves after showing Agatha she was right. There was no objective. And at the end, nothing was completed. They distracted Agatha, after a fucking poor performance by Jen and Lilia. They had ages to try and wretch Alice away or stop Agatha and they stood there. And he said it too late. The 0 hit just as he said it. And then they heard Nick’s voice. The trial was still happening. The ouiji was still open. They didn’t accomplish anything.

The door unfolds way too late too. All the others, the exit appears mere seconds after. This took too long. And after Alice dies. That wasn’t the point. And IT GOES UP. It mostly likely responded to them failing OR it wasn’t real. This whole thing is not right. So I think they didn’t do anything. I think the actual trial will continue, maybe connected to the weird morgue room we see later with purple hues. Idk but it either wasn’t agatha’s real trial or it wasn’t completed. No way this was it. I prefer B out of both

Theory 5: love this one. My friend explained it better than I can so here we are,

And to add, it was Agatha’s idea to summon people to the road. I know nothing happened with Rio but Rio is an exception (spoiler once again). The seven aren't. So the seven came on BECAUSE of Agatha, this could add to it

Because also… all of them just disregarded all the rules the entire time.

Theory 6: It wasn’t her trial. It was Billy’s. Honestly don't hate it given his spirit is from Wandas kids and blah blah idk. Kind of fits

Right so we all know that this whole thing was wack and will have an explanation later? Great! Onto my opinions. Lets start off with what I loved:

Kathryn.Fucking.Hahn. Her uncomfortability as they ‘ouija’ (not a verb, hehe), her humour at the beginning, the look of longing on the brooms, her hurt at her mother, her confusion and conflicting over Alice, and the end. THE FUCKING END OH MY GOD GET HER AN AWARD. THAT CHUCKLE. The chuckle made my bones chill. It was outstanding.

Rio this episode was the best she has been. Her defending Agatha. Ooooo you know that’s right.

I loved the broom scene. And their opinions. Agatha is more powerful than a broom. Its ‘undignified’ as she says. Lilia hates the stereotypes. Rio along for everything. Jen and Alice too. It was great

Alice. My girl… the way you could see her immediately soften when Evanora said it. She literally screamed for her to stop and tried to save her. Love you Alice. I know you coming back somehow because in the very first trailer we see a scene of her in a purple lit empty room. Can’t wait to see you again girl

The parallels between Alice and Agatha too. Alice’s discovery was that her mum was better than she thought. She was protecting her. Agatha’s is that she is worse. Even after centuries she is asking others to kill her. What a twat.

All the actors were phenomenal. That's a given

The entire thing looked beautiful

That whole talk with Evanora was heartbreaking. And clearly so much had happened and Evanora was clearly a terrible terrible person. And when someone said it mirrored homophonic religious parents my hear shattered. So good. Just so so good

I don't mind knowing rio’s spoiler now because it's an explanation on such a mysterious and… confusing episode. I like spotting the things now. One thing that makes sense 😭

What I am about to say is not a reflection on Joe. Although I did giggle because… well when Kathryn is giving an award winning evil performance and acting circles around everyone after such a devastating scene… eh I won’t make a joke. But I think he is a great actor and Billy is a good character. He's not my favourite. When you have an entire show of women I will only look at them. I will say the ‘BILLIE’ Eillish song at the end was a good touch. That aside I didn’t mind the reveal. I am excited to see what he looked up for Agatha in the flashbacks next episode. I’m just not fused about him 🤷‍♀️ not everyone has to love every character. I only care about him in relation to Agatha

Right, criticism now, and I hate criticizing this show. I have never done it properly before for this show because I haven't found anything to criticise, so the fact I'm doing this shows how weirded out I was. Most of this is based on people though:

Why the fuck was it so short. This must mean the other episodes are much longer but to have Agatha’s trial, real or not, and the centre episode the shortest? I didn't like that

These are now about the people

My own personal annoyance: we are now going to have to have a whole week of having to now focus on Billy when so much Agatha trauma was there. I knew billy would have his spotlight but now for everyone talking about the episode, that is the only thing that they will focus on, instead of everything else. But I can deal with that because I won't be focusing on it, because to me it is not the important part of the episode. My own annoyance is explainable and irrelevant.

I theorise on what I like. I will not be focusing on Billy unless it relates to Agatha. So I am not mad about that, it just ticks me off it happens in the episode they finally show a bit more of Agatha’s backstory

Right, my complaint about people. Fuck all of you saying that ‘this show has finally gotten good’ because billy has been revealed. Genuinely fuck you. Because once again, and I'm shockingly surprised because a LOT of these people saying billy is the only good part are coming from Wanda stans on twitter. But whatever. People are allowed to be a bit annoyed that, from surface level, 1) ‘Agatha’s trial’ episode was the shortest and then revolved around Billy in the end 2) people are allowed to criticise what happens. They should never hate on Joe, but I have seen people send threats over some people saying they don’t like billy. It is a fair criticism for some people to say that they don’t like that the one man that is is now going to get the attention of this episode

Also very mild proof that this is happening:

Right, point two about how people have reacted and this is real. This is Stan feud, I’m not a child. I like hoes acting. I liked heartstopper and I think he’s doing great. This is about real life consequences: that fucking article. If you have been on Twitter you most likely know what I'm talking about. But a magazine article published an article saying “Billy has made MCU history” and the only article about Agatha, you know the MAIN CHARACTER with a ROMANTIC STORY WITH ANOTHER WOMAN, was basically saying “Are they gay? Hm I don't know”. And then, they released ‘all the gay characters in MCU’ and LEFT OUT AGATHA. FUCK YOU SINCERELY. This is why so many women struggle with coming out. Because no one takes us seriously. His boyfriend had been mentioned ONCE ON A FUCKING PHONE and he’s making history when the entire C plot of this show is about Agatha and her ex-wife and her relationships with them all. Fuck you. People in my life ask me why it took me so long to figure out I was gay. It's because of this. People don't take us seriously and this is EXACTLY what a lot of us feared. Billy, yay, amazing. I like that they are showing him a bit more. I want all of these characters fleshed out. But now, everyone's reactions to it are reinforcing that we are not taken seriously by the wider world, including some of the queer community. Agatha’s whole B plot is about her and Rio. And it was so beautiful in this episode. And even if you aren't interested in the romance, Agatha’s story was amazing! Painfully short but amazing! But now people only want to focus on the man. It's one thing to fear it because originally I dismissed it. But everything that has come out since then has reaffirmed this fear queer women hold. That sapphic relationships will NEVER be taken as seriously and will always be secondary to men. So fuck all of you contributing to that. Truly fuck you

Breathes in, breathes out okay. Rant over. I can just ignore these things. And I am. Its just infuriating to be reminded.

But in the wait, this feeling for many will get worse especially because some of you stans are reinforcing it. I think Billy is fine. I think his backstory will be interesting. But I saw someone try to theorise and someone said ‘Who the fuck cares. Billy is finally here to save the show’. It’s one thing to have a favourite character, it's another to do all of this

On the other side, people who are attacking Joe, that is not fair. Every character will have their spotlight. My critique is that it takes away from Agatha’s trauma this episode a lot but it is not his fault. So let’s never attack the real people

Also if you like his character, amazing. I like that every character is full rounded. But if people have genuine critiques, don’t be mad. People can have opinions. Just as don’t attack people for like him.

Let’s just be nice. Some of you need to go back to preschool “lets treat others how we want to be treated” my god

Thank you to anyone who is still reading. I hope this bring to light a lot of the ‘off things’ with it and maybe show some opinions. I needed to rant because my god some of the things I've seen… But conclusion: everything is wrong. Its one thing for people to be out of character. Its another for the whole trial system to be fucked, the S7 sidelined again, Billy etc. Its wrong on purpose.

I think I will only form an actually feeling in this episode when I see the next one that will explain everything. I need an explanation to say whether I like it or not. But I will say, the other 4 are to me some of the best things ever produced ever. I want to desperately love it but I need to wait.

Anyway, hopefully now that the emotions have died down we can all start theorizing based on that. Here is my attempt haha

Your reward for reading to the end: Agatha and Rio being gay

Something that I’ve been thinking about for a good 6 months now, ever since Good Omens season 3 was green lit, and that was the three sentence description of the plot that Neil gave in his official announcement interview:

The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.

It really makes me think about the book sequel he and Terry had discussed and what was going to be included in that story.

Season 2 was thought to be that story. But then Neil confirmed after the season aired that it was in fact a bridging season that he wrote deliberately in order to get us to season 3, which would be based on the story that he and Terry plotted together in the 90’s and early 2000’s.

Neil also famously never gives anything about his stories away, always excited to tell us to ‘wait and see’. The fact we get this much of a description is quite exciting.

At first glance it doesn’t seem like anything we didn’t already know:

The plot involves Armageddon: Metatron told us as much when he mentioned the second coming at the end of season 2.

Crowley and Aziraphale need to work together: they have always done so before, so this time shouldn’t be any different.

Crowley and Aziraphale aren’t talking: very evident from where we left off.

But did you notice something else? Something hiding in plain sight? The plans are going wrong. And they hope to put it right. So what are these plans? Why are they going wrong? Who made them go wrong? What exactly does going wrong mean? What does putting them right mean? Also, notice how Neil doesn’t say Crowley and Aziraphale need to work together to stop it. Interesting choice of words right?

Now let’s think about the book sequel for a second. For a moment, let’s pretend that the TV series doesn’t exist (*shakes everyone by the shoulders* HEY, STOP SCREAMING! CALM DOWN! The show STILL exists! Just go with me for a second here, and you can go back to remembering the show in a moment! It’s OKAY! *pats everyone until the screaming subsides*). The Good Omens novel is structured with flashback sequences of Aziraphale and Crowley together over time as the story of the Anti-Christ and the Non-Ageddon unfolds. What if the three sentence description of season 3 that Neil gave was the actual tagline of the book sequel? Like, this is literally what he and Terry came up with? Something happened between Aziraphale and Crowley between the end of book 1 and the beginning of book 2, and the second book is telling us the story of the second coming, whilst at the same time providing us flashback scenes of exactly what happened between A&C? That part of the book is the mystery of why these ineffable husbands who spent the last 6000 years together were suddenly no longer talking.

Can you imagine reading that blurb and thinking “WWWHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT?”

Whether the intended sequel involved the story of a memory wiped Gabriel is up for debate. But I understand why Neil devoted an entire season to telling this story, because I don’t think there would have been room to do the second coming storyline and devote enough time to exploring the relationship breakdown at the same time in just 6 episodes.

And if my theories are correct, this is why I don’t think we will get any further flashback sequences in season 3. If we’re really lucky, maybe we’ll get a 1941 part 3 flashback, and a “what happened when they went back to Crowley’s apartment and body swapped” flashback (I’ve drafted some wildest dream posts on these, so look out for them coming in the near future). But unless they’re relevant for the plot, I think we’re out of flashbacks. This next season is likely going to be focusing specifically on the second coming, the consequences, and answering the question what does putting it right mean?!

Okay here’s a whole post with my thoughts/theories about how the next two episodes and the finale are going to play out, using BTS footage, reviewer’s comments, and the promo. My attempt at piecing together an entire timeline for the rest of the season, basically. (Though pretty much focused on Ed + Stede’s plot)

Major spoilers, obviously, especially for the finale (though it’s mostly theory, but there’s some very spoilery BTS pictures)

So, starting with episode 6, we’ll be getting either a Pete/Lucius wedding or some kind of party. With the title being “Calypso’s birthday”, I think the party theme and the prior lupete proposal could be a red herring for a wedding, and it could be just a party for the sake of a party. Calypso could be wee John’s drag name, rather than a yet to be named character (and in that sense maybe it’s more along the lines of ‘the birth of calypso’ for the title) Who knows. Anyways. Some kind of party, that we then see interrupted by Ned Lowe, who begins to torture the crew for breaking his record of most ships hit in a day or what have you.

Now from reviews we’ve been told that Blackbeard is not the one who ultimately saves the crew, and it is in fact stede who steps up and averts a crisis. I think this is what begins stede’s newfound infamy, defeating or at least stopping the torture of his crew from this famous pirate.

With his open wound, it needs to be cauterized, hence this scene:

Followed by these two hooking up, with stede having a confidence high, and them just completely giving into their horniness of averting a near-death situation:

I mean, the wall slam, the next morning half nude bed scene, it’s a given. It’s happening. No doubt. 100% sure of it.

As far as how or why they end up at Spanish Jackie’s, for episode 7, “Man on Fire” I dunno. I think a review summary said they’re just chilling. Not really there with any intent. And with stede’s defeat of Ned and his other stories building him infamy, he has groupies and fans now.

Which i think begins to build this divide between him and Ed. Being as Ed is probably looking at retiring from the pirate life, and stede is really just starting at it, I think they’re going to come to some kind of impasse by the finale.

Regardless, before the season began all the reviewers had was up to the 7th episode, and everyone mentioned how it ended on a cliffhanger. And I think the cliffhanger will be this-

Based on the explosions, fire, and mass panic scenes that we have seen from here:

I think prince Ricky will be launching an all out attack on the republic of pirates, probably taking out several of zheng’s ships (likely with those suspicious ass clocks). Here is where stede and Ed will be separated, and the episode will leave us with them apart. (Possibly thinking the other is dead? Though we’ve had a LOT of near deaths this season so. Maybe not)

I think it could be a fight between the two about their diverging paths that separates them, leading to Ed back on the ship and Izzy’s “frowny face” line and him once again being a mediator for Ed and Stede’s relationship

Part of why I think they’ll be separated is that it’s the only logical reason why they would have a reunion scene in the finale (which is called “Mermen” I believe?)

Where stede looks up to see Ed on the opposite side of the fight:

Now I get murky on the rest here, but they probably come up with some kind of counter attack plan where they infiltrate Ricky’s/ the English army, and take it down from the inside.

See Ed here in what looks like English army clothes, as well as Frenchie and black Pete on the side in outfits as well, and the other shot of frenchie and Lucius.

And from this plan, which I do believe succeeds in some regard, we get a ‼️‼️ major character death

And I think (SPOILER SPOILER SPOLIER‼️) it’s Izzy. He’s the only one not pictured (except for wee john), Jim is giving some kind of eulogy:

And everyone begins to walk away EXCEPT ed and stede, who remain looking down.

Unfortunately it narratively makes sense as well to have Izzy, who started as a purely selfish character, become someone who would sacrifice himself for his newfound family. PLUS it being a parallel to last season, where he gave them up to the English. I don’t like it, but it does make sense. It hits the hardest, too. And reviews of the finale have said it hits hard emotionally.

As far as how we’ll leave off, I have this feeling that Ed may stay behind and stede may go off to continue pirating. I just don’t see how they can stay together with their warring desires at the moment. But it’s not going to be an end to their relationship, I just think they’re going to try to both do their own thing. To have them choose to be apart yet together, instead of forcibly apart like where we ended last season, it just feels like something David would do. And it really would show them being secure in their relationship, allowing them to develop themselves outside of each other and come into their own on their own terms.

This scene in particular makes me feel like this is them talking about Ed staying, and possibly even fixing up this house for them while Stede goes out to pirate.

Ed is stede’s lighthouse to come back to. I’m seeing fuckin parallels to pirates of the Caribbean with Elizabeth and will. Maybe we’ll get stede choosing Ed over piracy, especially with the end of the golden age of piracy looming, and his desire to build a life together instead of building his reputation but. That’s just my wishful thinking.

I think the biggest reason we can’t push for any type of censorship of art is because everyone you ask is gonna have a different idea of what is and isn’t wrong. So come with me on this journey as we try to figure out the morality scale for fiction.

Ok first idea: This is intentionally the most outlandish one…and I don’t believe anyone believes this…but we’ll get it out of the way. We’re gonna ban anything that portrays an immoral action of any kind. This includes murder, rape, all that jazz. But even the most outlandish immoral actions can fall under this ban. Sleeping Beauty portrays a woman cursing a baby to death when she turns 16. This is an immoral action. However….nobody has the power to actually curse a baby….so maybe….

Second idea: We ban any portrayal of an immoral action that can be replicated by an actual human. So again; we’re talking about murder, rape, etc. Avatar The Last Airbender portrays a genocide. Genocide is a very very immoral thing that does happen in real life. However nobody seems to have an issue with this. Why is that? That’s probably because ATLA portrays it in a very respectful way, and understands the weight of the issue. So maybe…..

Third idea: We ban any portrayal of an immoral action that does not portray that immoral action in a respectful way. So we’re talking about basically any comedy or satire? It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s comedy comes from the character’s immoral actions. The fact that we’re supposed to laugh at what these characters are doing means that whatever situation is being presented is not being presented in a respectful way. So how about…

Fourth idea: We ban any disrespectful portrayal of an immoral action that’s not being portrayed for comedic or satirical purposes. A lot of crime dramas portray horrible things happening that don’t even get mentioned in the next episode unless they’re apart of the bigger story. These horrible things are being presented for dramatic purposes and dramatic purposes only…not to make some point about anything. Like I mentioned most crime dramas even forget the murder happened in the literal next episode. So instead of lumping these immoral actions together; how about we gage them individually?

Fifth idea: The immoral action that can’t be portrayed depends on the weight of the immoral action. Well now we’re back to the ATLA genocide. Genocide is probably one of the most immoral actions in the world. Genocide is worse than something like incest. So why are people more quick to ban something that portrays incest than something that portrays genocide? Why are people more quick to ban something that portrays a toxic relationship rather than something that portrays murder? Maybe it’s because somebody watching could have been affected by a toxic relationship? But someone watching a show about murder could have as easily had someone they love be murdered.

So what’s the scale of morality here? Is it about how the topic affects the person watching? Well that’s really situational isn’t it? That’s my point. The entire argument for what we should and shouldn’t censor is really situational to an individual’s morals. I could go on and on with more examples of what could be our standard here….and the fact that I could have so many of these examples proves my point. There is no set moral standard that everybody has for what should and shouldn’t be in fiction. So what should we do? Perhaps what we want to see should be managed by ourselves. If we don’t want to see a certain topic being presented; then we don’t have to. Nobody is forcing us. The idea that all fiction should cater to our real life moral standards defeats the point of fiction. Fiction is supposed to take us away from reality. To put us in a new situation and a new headspace that we can’t experience in real life. Censorship is the natural enemy to art, because art is supposed to be limitless.

Today's (1/2/2025) Episode: E-Sports Saturday Night

When the teens reached the stadium, they followed Luigi’s instructions and looked for Professor Silva in the “players only” section.

“Welcome!” he said, “Don’t you two look nice? I have to check on my team captains and make sure everyone is ready to rock n’ roll, but then I’ll be right back to start that interview and make sure you two kids have a great night. Do either of you follow college e-sports?”

When Skye and Elyse shook their heads, he continued: “No problem. Go ahead and fire up Yoshi, and when I return, I’ll fill you in on the personalities and drama behind the action you’ll be seeing on the big screens soon. I’ll do my best to make sure you two have a magical night!”

“That was a great match!” Elyse enthused a few hours later when Foxbury was declared the winner “Congratulations!”

“Thank you” the male co-captain replied, extending his hand “Its not everyday we have such a charming audience. I’m Antonio, and you are?”

“Elyse” she replied, ducking her head shyly as Skye bristled next to her.  Can’t he see we’re here together!?

Before Skye could work up the courage to say anything, Elyse clasped xir hand tightly and continued “and this is my date, Skye. Xe got hurt recently and didn’t feel up to prom, so we came here instead. Our dads play for Rainy Day: Dizzying Diaz and Lightning Lu – maybe you’ve heard of them?”

As the other sim stared, dumbfounded, the professor made his way back to the group “Ah, I see you’ve met my dynamic leadership duo! Well, come on, let’s head over to the press room and look at some post-game analysis footage!”

After Skye wrapped up xir story xe took some photos of the group and handed out Lighting Lu merch. “Hey, thanks!” the female co-captain told xem “My mom’s a big fan of your dad, too!”

“No problem, he’ll be happy to hear that you appreciated it.” Skye promised, turning towards the professor “Thanks so much for taking the time to set this up. My uncle will look everything over before it posts, but it should be online in the next couple days.”

“It was my pleasure” Coach Silva replied, “Now you kids should go check out the mixer at the commons, a little party replacement for your prom!”

He didn’t have to tell them twice! Waving goodbye, Skye boldly took Elyse’s hand in xir own and headed towards their next destination.

“Brrr” Elyse complained, shivering as they exited the arena “its freezing out here! I hate how hot it gets back home, but that’s better than this!”

“I hate the cold” Skye, who was struggling to catch xir breath in the suddenly icy air, sympathized “why don’t you run on ahead and I’ll catch up?”

“No way!” Elyse shook her head vigorously “I promised your mom nothing bad was going to happen to you tonight; I’m not letting you out of my sight. We’re in this together Lawbourne!” She laughed, wrapping xem in a big hug that warmed Skye up like a giant fur coat for xir heart.

“I don’t know… I’m digging the music, but otherwise this place looks kinda dead” Elyse said as they entered.

“Well… why don’t you go dance while I get a picture with Larry for my parents and then we’ll get some food?” Skye suggested.

As Elyse hit the dance floor, Skye got his selfie with Larry the Lobster. “Oh, I don’t go here” xe explained to the exuberant mascot. “I  just came to the game with my friend” xe pointed to Elyse, who was headed their direction. “I might someday, though. Both my parents graduated from Foxbury.”

“Right on!” the lobster replied, raising a claw in the air. “What about you?” they asked Elyse “Do you bleed red and gold like your buddy here?” Elyse had no interest in the costumed crustacean, ignoring him entirely in favor of pressing Skye “come get some food with me before I waste away.”

“Everything OK?” Elyse asked as they grabbed a cookie and got seated “I’m fine” Skye promised “Just a little sore.” before she could respond xe quickly changed the subject. “Man, I love sweets. I’m sure its because I never get to have them at home, though sadly this cookie is a bit bland.”

“Well, its hard to beat your cooking” Elyse smiled, causing xem to blush at the praise “Thanks. I’m sort of limited in what I can make wearing this dumb cast, though I learned a few new pressure cooker recipes recently. If you want to come over for dinner some night, I’d love to make something for you.”

“I’d like that” she agreed “Grim I’ve missed you.”

“Tonight was great,” Skye said when they arrived back as xir place at the end of the night “thank you for asking me.”

*“*Thank YOU for forgiving me” Elyse replied softly “I’m truly sorry that I made you so upset that night, Skye. I messed up and I can’t take it back, but I hope you know I’d never hurt you intentionally.” Skye nodded “I know”.

Standing there in the warm night air, xir best friend right there across from xem looking so beautiful, Skye was overcome with the sudden urge to show her just how much she meant to xem. “Elyse?” xe asked hesitantly, “Can… can I kiss you?”

Xir heart fluttered madly as she nodded “I’d like that.” Screwing up xir courage Skye leaned in slowly, placing xir lips softly against hers, the answering pressure of her mouth turning xir legs to jello. Both teens smiled goofily as they broke apart.

my thoughts on act 2:

im being so deadass i think ep6 is my fave in all of the show. its just nice seeing vi and jinx being sisters. istg if one of them dies…i really hope their dynamic will be like the one in those league comic thingies.

also CAITVI NATION IS SO BACK. love love loved seeing them together again. i do wish vi was colder to caitlyn when meeting her instead of calling her cupcake. but hey its been like three years since weve last seen vi call her cupcake so a win is a win. theyre definitely gonna bang next act, i think ep 8.

WTF JAYCE. EVERYTHING WAS GOING SO WELL. what did he see in there?? ik everyone is gonna hate him but im excited to see where hes gonna go from here.

and isha. just thinking about her makes me tear up😭😭 im gonna keep this brief so i dont start sobbing AGAIN but i miss her already. then again…we didnt actually see her die so maybe…(im delusional pls help)

in terms of criticism i really would have loved to see vi actually pit fighting. i think the main problem was that we already saw the pit fighting scene like two months ago so it didnt hit as hard because that scene really did emphasize what vi was going through so seeing it again just didnt hit as hard. thats just me tho.

in terms of pacing, i honestly have no complaints. i liked it. it felt similar to season one but that could just be me. i like fast paced things sooo yeah. i also love how all the characters converged in ep 6 which kind of tidied some stuff up. still would have preferred longer episodes but animation is expensive and takes a shit ton of time so i understand.

but my main complaint is WHERE IS EKKO⁉️⁉️ THAT MAN HAS NOT BEEN SEEN SINCE THE MIDDLE AGES. since s1e7 was ekko’s, i think ep 7 is gonna be centered around him returning to zaun and meeting all the other characters again…with timebomb sprinkled in. cuz jinx needs some support. i also think ep7 may be a party episode sooo yeah.

anyways i loved this act. it might be my favorite from the entire series but we’ll see.

Izumi: Our topic of discussion is the direction of the sequel to “Water me!”.

Tsuzuru: Spring Troupe’s RomiJuli was about two people going on a journey, growing, and then returning home. So does Summer Troupe have any requests for their sequel?

Yuki: I think Alibaba should still be disregarding reality while chasing after the fantastical oasis.

Tenma: Maybe Scheherazade should get to go on an adventure next.

Muku: It is pretty nice knowing that Sinbad is free and in the clear. I hope he becomes a sailor.

Kazunari: I lowkey wanna see Aladdin past the point where his love’s been requited~!

Misumi: I hope the Genie of the Lamp is freed from the lamp~.

Kumon: I was an evil wizard during reruns, so am I gonna be one in this too?

Muku: Now that you mention it, I hope you can join us on an adventure this time, Kyu-chan.

Izumi: I agree. You don’t necessarily have to stick to your rerun role, and doing that would be more Summer Troupe-like, don’t you think?

Kumon: Woohoo! I wanna go on an adventure too!

Tenma: I also wanna show everyone a comedy that’s more powerful than our debut as a troupe.

Misumi: I wanna add some kinda daily fun element~.

Kazunari: The more we know our characters, the better we can come up with story content now!

Yuki: Thinking about the fact that the evaluation of this performance will be directly reflected in the rankings really makes you feel a different kind of tension from our usual performances, huh?

Kumon: Is it really okay for us to just continue doing what we’ve always done…?

Tenma: We’ve gotta be sure to pass the baton that Spring Troupe gave us onto Autumn Troupe. We can’t afford to stumble here.

Yuki: Not to mention that the audience will be watching our performance with the intention of evaluating it for the Fleur Award.

Kazunari: With even more rivals this time, I’m really gonna have to kick it up a notch with the flyer design~.

Misumi: And I need to work on my acting too!

Izumi: (I know there’s no helping it in this situation, but it seems like everyone’s feeling the pressure in their own ways.)

Izumi: (I wish we had something that would help get rid of all their anxieties…)

Izumi: Before their rehearsals started, everyone in Spring Troupe was feeling the same kind of pressure to win the Fleur Award.

Izumi: I think holding the workshop and being able to remember their first time acting was a good turning point for them.

Izumi: Maybe you guys should try doing something different from the usual to get a little change of pace too.

Muku: Doing something different from the usual…

Kumon: What could that be?

Tenma: …Actually, I have a suggestion.

A3! Seasonal Event - The GRIM REAPER CIRCUS: Epilogue - An Incomprehensible Existence

Citron: What a wonderful event this was~! The balloon release in the finale was a great success, too!

Muku: All those colorful balloons taking to the sky… It was really romantic and beautiful!

Izumi: It seems the visitors enjoyed everything thoroughly, from the stage and the performances, to the puzzles. Everything was very well received!

Omi: Leading the visitors around while giving them hints was pretty fun.

Chikage: And I’m glad it seemed they enjoyed solving the puzzles.

Director: Thank you so much, everyone! It was one of the best, most exciting events ever!

Director: Even I couldn’t take my eyes off your characters. Your performances were amazing!

Tsumugi: Thank you very much.

Director: I’d like to thank you as well, so how would you like a stroll around the amusement park?

Muku: Is that alright?

Director: Of course it’s alright. Obviously, considering the overall state of the park, the Ferris Wheel and the merry-go-round are inoperable, but you’re welcome to take photos!

Citron: How nice! Omi, do you have your camera?

Omi: Of course I do. I’ll make sure to take some great pictures.

Tasuku: Let’s accept the Director’s offer, then.

Izumi: Let’s do that. Get changed, and then we’ll all go exploring!

One thing I always couldn’t understand about Hannibal ending is; if that fall was only Will’s dream and fourth seasons would start with Will waking after nightmare, what caused that dream? When did he pass out ? And now, I think I found the answer.

At first, I have to explain why I started to think that the ending was just a “WILL’S”dream. Let’s look at show itself. It’s complicated and really difficult to understand, but it’s not unrealistic. Every Hannibal’s move, Will’s decisions, circumstances, situations, outcomes is accountable and logical or sometimes, even predictable (We’ll get back to this later). Consequently, how’s that can even possible that they survived after falling from the 10m cliff, in cold Atlantic water with rocks and with serious injuries? I might add that falling from that height into the water is equivalent to falling on hard asphalt. Therefore, there is no way they could survive falling in logical or realistic way.

Then, you can see the contradiction: after we observe the fall, we see a segment with Bedelia, missing her leg, and presumably her lost leg cooked and placed on the table. Also, we can see two empty chairs and prepared dishes in theory, for Hannibal and Will. And I agree with this theory cuz, I don’t think there are another two persons who have motive and desire to eat Bedelia’s leg. Now, Do you see the contradiction? They are alive even though they can’t be alive. If it were different series maybe, I would have believed that they survived after fall, but not in Hannibal.

Part2

So, I came to one conclusion: that fall was fake. Dream, whatever, but not fall. But how to explain this ? There must be something that everyone missed.. at least a one hint.. And I found it.

As usual, I was lying on my bed, staring at ceiling, thinking about nothing. Suddenly, I remembered this scene:

Season3 episode 13~~~~

At first sight it’s just a beautiful and suitable sense for this show, but if you watch carefully, bit by bit the puzzle is starting to come together. They are standing in front of each other, talking, then the shot, wine bottle was shattered. Do you know what a broken bottle of wine means? It means that bullet went through the Hannibal’s body and wine bottle. Then in theory, who can be the next target of this bullet? Who was standing in front of Hannibal? Yes, WILL.

This is scene in slowmo after the shot sounded. The section highlighted by a red circle is Hannibal. As you can see they are standing in front of each others, Will watching Hannibal, Hannibal watching Will.

Then we can see a shattering wine bottle. Consequently, in theory

that bullet could have gone through Hannibal, and wine bottle and hit Will, knocking him out. He might have then entered a coma-like state and experienced a dream. Additionally, he could have hit his head on the floor when he fell and this could also cause same symptoms.

That’s the reason I thought it was Will’s dream.

Part3

“Dream always ends on most interesting moments for example, falling off a cliff ” My friend told me this when we were talking. Now let’s analyze what we see after the shot.

Doesn’t it look like a dream? Dolarhyde has a tail and wings. Hannibal moves, despite being shot in stomach. And, in the end, they fall off a cliff. We didn’t pay attention to all of this stuff, cuz authors diverted our attention by showing us falling, and satisfy our emotions. Skillful manipulation, which Hannibal’s authors use frequently.

I think this is not enough to prove this theory, so I have one more argument.

In Hannibal when something is breaks, for example cup, it always means something. Hannibal used broken cup as a metaphor which helps us to predict the future about Abigail. Cup brakes before Hannibal and Will separate again and etc.

This theory can be true, but no one correctly knows what happened, and what will happen.

But someday perhaps, a cup will come together.

Anos just straight up defied the order of the world and said “no, you’re going to die, not me”, then turned Nousgalia into a damn fly. My Goat.

Ngl I still don’t understand all the lore and spiritual core stuff that they got going on in the show. Maybe I’m just not big brained enough. But I really appreciate that the author took the time to establish such a cool world and actually put a lot of thought into the concepts.

Seems like everything came back to be useful at the end, like Anos sending Igareth into the future to spread rumours about Avos’ reincarnation as a pure spirit allowing Misa to live without Avos. I was confused at the time, but now it makes sense.

This season finale actually felt like a proper movie ending with the peace summit and ending credits. Idk how realistic the “no hardship” policy that Anos wants will be, but we’ll see.

Everyone’s been through so much and it’s good to see Misa, Reno and Shin just laughing and enjoying their time together. Shin still seems a bit stiff around Misa, but that’s pretty normal after just meeting your daughter. Hearing him vocalise how he loves Reno and how proud he is of Misa were massive steps for him.

That post credits scene was wild. I wonder what type of villain could be coming next and why Anos’ memory got wiped.

The last few episodes of this season were so damn good, made the slower start and CGI tree worth it 😂

I had to write this to address that Trent-less party at Higgins’ house at the end of Episode 12 - So Long, Farewell. Fits generally in between chapters 11 and 12 of As Low As A Rattlesnake’s Belly Button but works alone, too.

Trent smiles at the text and types out a reply.  I wish I could. But Darla has been planning today’s trip to the zoo for weeks and she’ll murder me if I cancel on her.

Bring her along – or come by afterwards. There’s going to be enough food here to last for weeks.

The exchange leaves a warm feeling in Trent’s chest. He also has a text from Beard asking him what kind of beer he likes, and a text from Roy demanding to know Darla’s favorite colors because Pheobe is making her a friendship bracelet.

Trent had though that when he finished writing his book he would lose the Richmond family he had found there, but to his delight and surprise, so far his experience has been quite the opposite. From being included in the newly created Diamond Dogs text group to invitations to get together at the Crown & Anchor or Keeley’s favorite wine bar, it’s almost as if nothing has changed.

The notable difference being, of course, that Ted is gone. And that’s not a small difference, of course, but he and Ted are handling that in their own fashion. Rebecca has taken to checking in with Trent on this subject – he’s not certain whether it’s because she misses Ted so severely, or if she is truly invested in their relationship. Probably both. The night Ted left Rebecca had called him, needing to tell him over and over just how hard she had tried to make Ted stay.

“But his mind was already made up,” she had said, close to tears. Trent just listened and made understanding noises, because he did understand. It had become clear to Trent that Ted wasn’t going to be able to heal without returning home to Henry. Maybe not for forever, but at least for now.

Trent’s book tour is taking him to the states – and to Kansas City – in just a few weeks. And he’s hoping that by then he’ll have some exciting news to share with Ted about his next career move, which also just so happens to include a geographic move. But in the meantime, he’ll hold tight to the knowledge that everyone is rooting for him, not just as Ted’s partner, or as the documentarian of the team’s journey, but for himself.

And if he tells Darla that Pheobe will be at Higgins’ barbeque, he’s pretty sure she won’t mind leaving the zoo early and spending the evening with their Richmond family.
