Learning about the Doctor Who specials' expanded budget: oh no, what if they overuse CGI to look more 'professional' and high-budget?

Minor chicken drama the other day.

One of the Ms Levels got egg bound. Walking along bow legged and periodically stopping to strain. Knowing this can be fatal if not treated within a couple of days me and mum filled a bucket with warm water and caught her with a net, plunking her in it for as long as she would tolerate it, as warm water is supposed to loosen the muscles. (Mum also, and welcome to the glamorous realities of chicken keeping, had a quick, uh...feel around to see if she could feel the egg.) It didn't seem to help at first and she spent most of the day looking more and more miserable.

We were honestly a little concerned but when we woke up the next morning there was a small egg lying in the middle of the run and Ms level giving us a very distrustful side-eye. It had a weirdly thick shell when we checked it and I think maybe it got stuck in the part of the oviduct that applies the shell?

Either way she's sitting down a fair bit today, either she sprained a muscle straining or its just. Hot. But otherwise she seems ok. No more straining or looking miserable.

#fop #fairly oddparents #fop a new wish #fairly oddparents a new wish #hazel wells #fop hazel #fop dev #dev dimmadome #art #digital art #doodles #I wish Hazels parents were more flawed tbh...#Like I get why they wanted to have them be good rep so that young people could know what a good family is supposed to look like #but it felt like every time there was an opportunity to have them do something genuinely flawed-#they would perfectly sidestep it before it even became a problem #I really enjoyed the first episode because it showed a hint of a very unique emotional issue Hazel had related to having a therapist mother #The idea that she has to be mature all the time #constantly living around therapy speak makes her feel like she isnt allowed room to breathe #Feeling unable to express her emotions without someone there giving advice that she isnt ready for yet #just small things!#She feels so pressured to be emotionally mature all the time BECAUSE she gets praised for it #maybe im projecting everyone always tell me I was so mature for my age...#But like I really really wanted to see that from her!!#And then after that episode it doesnt even come up again #The only other episode that features the moms job as a conflict is the one where she wants to spend more time with her #which is a fine conflict I guess but it still ends with her saying all the perfect things #I wanted Markus to be more of a genuine threat too. even if he didnt actually do anything having him be more looming would have been nice #I feel like they mostly forget hes a para scientist most of the time idk.#I just felt like his interactions could have been more unique #Maybe he will be in future seasons idk

#fantastic podium!! maybe my favorite of this season?????#sebmarkson podiums are my fav ever nothing can top them #and both mark and jense were being so cute with seb this race aaaahhhhhhh <333333 #theres something about seb that makes older men want to cuddle him and pick him up and pour champagne on him #haha thank you to dru for showing me seb getting drenched on this podium a few weeks and making me hype for this race!!#this race was very very good as well. like the last laps battle btwn mark and jense was insane #its very good when i already know the results of a race but the racing still makes me sit on the edge of my seat and scream a bit #i mentioned this before but i love how this race felt like an epilogue and it was nice to see everyone having fun and enjoying themseles #thank you everybody for joining me on another season journey!!! it been so much fun. ive really really enjoyed 2009 #brawn is just soooooo cool to me. their story is insane!! im glad ive gotten to watch thru this season before the docu abt them comes out #but also very fun to see the beginning of rbr getting to the top of the field. every good result just felt so rewarding and worth it #anyways dont wanna do too much commentary abt it since ive discussed it a lot. onto 2010 next!!!! i shall miss you 2009 #though i will say. it was rly interesting in this race to hear their team predictions for next season bcs a lot of it doesnt pan out #mark webber #jenson button #sebastian vettel #sebson #martian #sebmark #f1 #formula 1 #formula one #we do a little bit of f1 #2009 abu dhabi gp #season: 2009

Johnny's ass keeps pushing Sento away from the support on his back because it's too big btw, do you think Sento knows. Is Sento aware that johnny's cheeks are constantly pushing it. *me immediately after going through a terrifying and traumatic experience* haha yeah I guess it was rough but I'm fine now like I'm totally chill. It was kinda funny actually if you think about it

#GUESS WHO GOT A PIERCING INFECTION SO BAD OVERNIGHT SHE HAD TO RUSH TO THE HOSPITAL #AND GET SURGERY TO REMOVE IT BC THE METAL WAS BURROWING ITSELF INSIDE HER LIP #yep that was meee :3 #man. it sounds so silly now. like that probably shouldn't have made me panic nearly as much as it did #but you have to understand at the time it was terrifying #I noticed my lip was a bit swollen earlier in the night but I was like ok it's probably nothing serious #I put some ice on it hoping it would be back to normal after I got some sleep #then I woke up at like 5:30 AM with my lip super swollen and my lip piercing literally burying itself inside my flesh #I tried pushing it back out a bit and blood and pus started coming out so yk I started panicking #so I went upstairs and I asked my mom to drive me to the hospital #luckily we have free healthcare in brazil and the hospital was basically empty(this was on sunday)#but when I got there they told me the doctor wouldn't arrive until 8AM and it was like 6:45 at that point #so I REALLY started panicking 🫠 bc I could feel like the piercing kept burying itself more deeply like #I felt like the skin inside my lip was going to close around it and I was terrified bc I had no idea what to do #and I was scared it might make things worse #but all I could do was sit there and wait and so I started having a panic attack #luckily my mom was there with me the whole time so at least I didn't feel alone #and then I just. waited for it to end. and then tried to keep myself distracted until the doctor got there #I got treated by military doctors! sjdjcjck the army has been giving additional support for hospitals in my city #bc of the floods some health units are currently closed and demand got higher so they needed extra support there #so an army doctor performed my surgery(inside an army tent no less ajfjjfkf maybe not ideal but. functional)#he was so nice?? like probably the calmest most careful doctor I've ever been treated by #I still had a bit of a nervous breakdown again after the surgery but that was bc I'd never been through something like that before #I got anesthesia obvs but I still felt the tug when he cut into my skin to remove the piercing and did my stitches #so my mind started cooking up all these horrible scenarios of how everything could go wrong and I was gonna die #cried on the doctor's table. 👍🏻 awesome #but he and his assistant were super nice about it she even offered me a hug #but anyway in the end I finally calmed down and got some medication #now I'm all stitched up with my little bloated lip eating soup out of a straw 👍🏻 but I'm ALIVE and I'm just glad it's all over fjjvjkf #sleep.txt

#there’s a threshold I think of what I accept in comments about characters #and their actions or about who is in the wrong or what should happen #because I do like reading people’s opinions #and sometimes when someone is like I didn’t like obi-wan in this fic #I’m like makes sense! maybe you weren’t supposed to or maybe the argument they had was supposed to not be clear cut on who is right #because arguments in real life don’t always have a clear cut winner or morally superior person lmao #I’m ok with that I’m ok with comments saying boo this character is annoying #because sometimes they just are (eg the amount of people who just don’t like obiwan in pbatmb like?? yeah of course he’s not gonna be nice #but I digress lol #anyway but there’s a threshold of when comments about not liking a character go too far and you’re just like.#saying mean things about the writing itself and that’s not something lm gonna allow to be normalized #no matter the intention behind it #you do not type a comment like this knowing it wil be send to an author #who will get an email notification about a comment #click on it and go oooo long comment :D and then go oh.#you don’t do that it’s rude it’s being a jerk #I’ve been here for like 3 almost 4 years I feel ancient in this fandom sometimes #and I’ve gotten so much feedback on my work through that time and so many nice comments and community #but mean comments can really hurt especially new writers #and they can make people who maybe would write fic for a fandom decide to not #like this isn’t even that mean I can almost see the writer just wanting to say how they feel #but sometimes you do not have to 🙏#also I just think this understanding of the characterizations in the fic and probably their understanding of the characters in the films #is a wee bit trash but that’s for me to say in the long tags of my own blog post and not for me to comment on their fics for the fandom #(they don’t have any but I did check because 3am kit felt nosy)

#kingdom hearts 2 #kh2 #twilight town #scenery #my gif #i didn't really know how to go about making this set because this world is big and has a lot of nice locations #but as i was putting them together i realized that the most recognizable areas would probably work best for a post like this #because other rooms like the usual place or the underground tunnels or the woods felt out of place somehow #maybe i'll make a part 2 and showcase some other areas...#anyways the devs sure do know how to make the original non-disney worlds stand out #just wandering around in this world puts me at ease but also gives me a feeling of sadness #that perfect feeling of nostalgia #or perhaps the prologue for this game is so strongly written that it'll always leave a lasting effect

something something jack and davey both thinking they were acts of service love language types because they were both so deeply insecure in themselves that they needed to feel useful to feel loved. and something something both of them finding for the first time with each other that they don't need to provide utility to be loved. and something something this spilling out into the rest of their lives as they make each other better and push each other to grow.

#it's slow and it's painful and it's rough going sometimes #jack realizing that as much as he loves his friends and he loves them with everything he is he's never fully trusted that they love him too #and reconciling how much he trusts them in everything else with how little he let himself trust their affection for him #hurts. and is hard.#and for davey realizing that maybe he hasn't been the good nice perfect son he's always tried to be #because he loves doing it #but because he feels like he /has/ to be that anchor for them so there's somebody doing it #that he /has/ to serve a function in the family or else what's the point of being in a family?#reconciling the genuine love he has for his parents and siblings with the resentment he's successfully ignored for so long #realizing that he's never felt like he /could/ fully be himself because what if it made the people he loves look bad?#that hurts and is not fun and is not easy #but both of them settle into each other and the knowledge that as they untangle these complicated emotions and what to do about them #jack knows he loves davey regardless and davey knows he loves jack regardless #and they trust the other means it when they say it #and so as hard as it is and as much as it sucks and as painful as each new realization is #they knows they have somebody to come home to who doesn't care how messy it all is and will truthfully say I love you anyway #newsies #jack kelly #davey jacobs #javid #javey
