ok since four people wanted it, headcanons! for the main four, I'll probably do more for the other characters later.

Edd! Full name, Edward "Edd" G. Sworld

A silly guy! He was born human, though he doesn't count himself as one anymore after the dose of his neighbors' weird satellite. He's still got powers, though it takes a while for them to properly return and he isn't the best at controlling him.

5'11/~180 cm and fat, but he loves himself. Big bear man.

Aroace spec, he's demiromantic and biromantic, but he's just asexual.

His main source of income is from commissions as he never actually went to an art school and has trouble getting full-time work. He does have a secret account for his little hero work when his powers start working and sometimes gets money from people who admire him.

He was the proper start of the friendgroup and the only reason the others stay together.

Did I hear someone say heterochromia? He used to only have pale brown eyes, but now a light green ring is around his pupils due to his powers.

Closest reference I have to how he looks in my mind: @/thepolysworldau has the best reference IMO. He just feels right.

Matt! Full name, Matthew "Matt" Doll

He wasn't always stupid, he just lost it for a while after being bit by a vampire :sob:. He didn't have a consistent source of blood intake and that's what made him a bit airheaded.

6'6/~198 cm, stringbean ahh looking fucker. He looks like he could be broken in half like dry pasta.

He's pan through and through, though he prefers the colors on the bi flag. Still, he feels pan is a better label for him so he sticks with it.

Went through the gender exploration phase after he got bit by the vampire but ultimately realized that yeah, he's a man, just fairly nonconforming at times with his style and he really likes makeup.

This man has freckles!!! There more prominent due to his skin not having as much pigment to it anymore, but he likes them so he's not upset.

He also used to have heterochromia! One eye was green, the other was blue, but now they're both red because of the whole vampire thing. His hair's also a slightly more red color now, he just dyes it to be more orange like it used to be.

Tom! Full name, Thomas "Tom" Bromel

Monster Tom my beloved, but I do NOT vibe with the canon monster design, it's so ugly :sob:. I vibe more with @/albi-finch-blog's design. It can go between the bigger and smaller forms, fully depends on how well he's doing mentally.

The only transgender in the group, he's also a demiboy (he/they/it pronouns, am i projecting a bit maybe i am)

The shortest in the group at 5'3/~160 cm. It doesn't help that they keep slouching. Also definitely on the heavier side.

Its eyes are because of its monster heritage, which came from their mother's side. His dad is just French.

Is he unhealthily attached to Susan? Yes, yes he is. In his defense, Susan was part of his major teenage rebellion phase before he left to live with his friends.

Bisexual, preference for men though.

Closest reference to how he looks in my mind: For his half-shifted form, i feel @/battyratzz's works the best, but for him just being human? I feel @/422kit's design works best.

Tord! Full name, Tord Lorison.

The only human of the group. Debatably so later on but shhhh.

For a while he was around 6'/~183 cm, but after his return he was like, freakishly tall (taller than Matt) and he just kept getting taller until WTFuture timeline (there is a reason for this i promise).

He of course came from Norway but his parents divorced early on and he spent time between the UK and Norway (like, every few months he'd switch places) until his father won full custody of him and he stayed in the UK from when he was around 7 to his early 20s, when he left.

He hasn't picked a label for himself and he doesn't really want to, he just knows he likes men and women and maybe other people it really just depends on their aesthetic.

LONG GREASY HAIR AHH WASH YOUR GODDAMN HAIR BRO UGH. Also naturally very dark-haired, but he dyed it a more caramel color for a while until after he got a bit blown up.

He's OBSESSED with inventing things, has been since he was a kid. Little science kid but engineering was his calling and he's been building for a long time.

Closest reference to how he looks in my mind: To me his style came in eras. He looked like @/pond-child-edd's design for a while until his 20s, became @/anonymousjackalope's design from when he left to a bit after he got explodicated, and then ended up as @/lexisgayok's design but with dark hair and a mask.

Tord and Edd dated when they were younger, from around 14 to 16 I think. They ended up realizing it just wouldn't work so they broke it off but stayed friends.

Matt was the one who bought the house they all lived in because his parents were actually loaded and didn't care about how he used the money since he was normal enough to avoid some danger.

Tom did not join the friendgroup willingly, he got dragged in kicking and screaming by Edd and never escaped.

Tord ALSO didn't join entirely willingly, but Edd was the only kid who talked to him when he first started living part-time in the UK and he didn't like being alone.

Matt's been crushing on Edd since they were ten and was HELLA JEALOUS of Tord. He still is, but he's let it go enough.

Tom would regularly bite Tord for various reasons up until he moved out. They nearly bit him again when he moved back in.

Tom's bad at emotions, especially handling attraction. His first relationship was with Laurel but they weren't the best at being a couple, his second was with Bully (yknow, from the beach episode) (it was very unhealthy but he thought it was fun), and his last relationship came years after with Tord (it'd been sitting on unresolved feelings for a long time and only really realized after Bully that the feelings he felt for Tord were attraction).

Once Ringo got out of the house while Tord was home alone and Edd was supposed to be gone for a week visiting family, so Tord literally built a fake Ringo from scratch before finding her literal hours before Edd came back. Now there are two Ringos and Tord kept the robo-Ringo when he left.

Edd and Matt ended up starting a relationship not long before the proper start of the WTFuture timeline happened, they were walking to where they would've had a date when the Red Army invaded.

Tom was home alone with Ringo when it happened. She'd been sick and he took the day off work to watch her. Both Tom and Ringo got taken by the Red Army early on.

SORRY FOR DOUBLE POSTING BUT I THOUGHT ABOUT THE OTHER MAIN 4 SHIPS TISKSKD

TomEdd is a very slow burn, but it has always been warm. Do you remember what it’s like to have a crush on someone you thought was very cool? You become friends and that warm feeling has always been constant when you’re together. It’s soft and gradual, it’s light touches and years of smiling at each other, you start to feel like you’re home.

EddMatt is a really Fun and Funny ship for me. It’s two main characters coming together in a crossover, except one is from a slice of life show and the other is from a fantasy. It’s a very high energy relationship, it’s exciting and bursting at the seams with ideas and passion. Have you ever had someone who’s basically your favorite caffeinated drink personified? They come into the room and suddenly your deep bone tiredness goes away like it was never there, and they smile at you and you feel as though you’re never going to get tired again.

TordMatt for me is a relationship that started off on the wrong foot. Their egos don’t match and they might have said or done somethings that rubbed the other the wrong way, but part of them holds some kind of respect for the other. I always thought that Tord thought Matt was so cool for being so unapologetically himself, that he could openly like himself when Tord seemed to always hate who he was. Matt on the other hand thinks the same except that Tord seemingly doesn’t care about what other people think of him, when Matt cares a whole lot. I think they could help each other heal. They’re the relationship that talks in whispers together in the dead of night, when everyone else is asleep, and they spend their restless night together, fingers laced, looking up at the ceiling, saying things they wouldn’t in the morning.

EddTord is the bestfriends to lovers to enemies to friends and MAYBE lovers ship. I always thought that they would fit a passionate doomed romance narrative. They start out so great, it’s love and passion and laughter, running off on adventures together, hands held tight, eyes on each other at all times. Then it’s tears and screamed words, betrayal and regret, history cast aside and hands reaching out to nothing. Then it’s quiet, a lingering look, words unsaid, unsteady peace and a longing to hold again. ‘Hey, do you remember when I smiled at you for the first time?’

“ Why don't we go head on over to the claw machines? “ Matt asks, gazing at Edd, who glances at him

Edd puts his hand on the little lever and makes his first attempt, he's able to knock it off the back and get it on its little face.. ok, great. Maybe he can still clutch this.

He anxiously glances at Matt, who still seems happy, smiling from ear to ear as he watches Edd try to win the little bat plushie for him. Edd’s still got it..

He looks back at the small bay that taunts him from the machine, standing between Edd and the approval from Matt. He narrows his eyes, he slowly moves the claw, trying to line it up PERFECTLY. He gets it to a point he thinks is good enough, and presses the button on top, the claw lowers and wraps around the bat, and lifts it up.

Edd lets out a breath of relief, glancing at Matt, who's practically jumping up and down in excitement for the plushie.

When it drops into the little prize hole, Matt practically shoves Edd out of the way and grabs it, lifting it up in the air, as if it were his child, he hugs it tight, Edd moved closer right as Matt turned to thank them, leaving them nose to nose, Matt's eyes widen

“ W- Woah!, “ He steps back, a bit flustered as he looks away for a second, and then back at Edd “ well, thank YOU. “ he says, allowing two fingers to trail up edd's chest before pulling away and giggling, prancing off to show off his new possession to Edd

Edd looks off as Matt runs off, looking down at himself before back at him. Did.. did Matt really just touch him like that..? He huffs as he feels HIMSELF growing flustered, crossing his arms and looking down

“ Yeah, whatever. “ He mumbles, unsure of how to feel now. He.. liked Matt, but did Matt like him? He didn't know. Would Matt EVER like him? Again, Edd doesn't know..

But at least it seemed he had a chance, for now.

Tomtord was like a popularized ship back then (note: These were the times when the recently released episode was The End Part 2). And it flooded almost all from Amino to Instagram to Wattpad. 14-year-old me was like, hm, this ship makes sense af and so history. Also, it wasn't because it was enemies to lovers but because of colors (the opposite color or opposites attract trope), and it was also about their dynamic in general.

So what sparked my love for this ship?

Answer is, Wattpad. I was a sucker for family trope back then, and there were many of those in Wattpad featuring Tomtord as the main couple and sometimes the latter would be EddMatt and PauPat. One of the examples of this fics is from BlueCipher (I recommend checking their fics but please do mind that since this was made in 2016-ish (?) there are Sub and Dom elements and also slight feminization of the characters).

Another one of those is like AUs as well. There were many AUs that existed before but that seemed to vanish in thin air but one of those was Blessworld.

Now, do I think it's toxic because you know, they kinda hate each other on the same basis and almost killed each other at The End? Well, not exactly. It depends on how you maneuver their dynamic. Can Tom forgive despite Tord trying to kill them (add Edd and Matt here) all just for his Giant Robot and army? Can he also forgive Tord for leaving them so suddenly? Can Tord forgive Tom for making his world domination plan fail? Well up to you. I really DO think it's more unhealthy but not all relationships start out perfect as it is but there are some Tomtord shippers that would usually make these two (in a fanon sense) get to a point where they call a truce and basically be lovey-dovey with each other (sexual tension ig?) through some mutual understanding.

Another thing was that Tomtord could technically also happen, provided that in WTFuture, they happen to become friends (this is still debatable, maybe they are now controlled by Tord or something) because Red Leader (of course this is Tord) lent him and Matt a time machine just to stop Edd from creating a time paradox or generally messing with the timelines. That's why most fics as before were always set in WTFuture (which I still love lmao).

Personally, the best way to learn and like this ship is if you're a sucker for slow burn/eventual romance and angst no comfort (including the Hanahaki Disease trope and so many others). Probably also add fix-it. You still always go to the fluff section.

Please do note this is coming from a fan who has been in the Eddsworld fandom from 2016-ish and just came back recently. I still love Tomtord no matter what, as well as other ships (I respect most of it even if I don't like it). It's pretty much up to you if you will like the ship.

It was a Saturday night. Edd had just come home from work, exhausted as ever.

He walked through the front door, setting his keys down and taking his coat off.

He dragged his feet through the house, through the hall, and to his bedroom.

He opened the door and flicked the lights on, causing a groan to be heard from the bed.

A ginger man sat up, more specifically, Matt. He rubbed his eyes, "Edd, why'd you turn the lights on?"

Edd kicked off his shoes, looking at the ginger, "Why are you in my bed?"

"Huh?"

Matt seemed confused. The dark green sheets, the scattered art desk against the wall, the cat laying at the end of the bed. This had to be his room.

Or maybe he was daydreaming again.

Edd was too tired to deal with it at the moment. He just wanted to get into bed and relax. His back was killing him.

He waved his hand, "Whatever. Scoot over, I'm tired."

Matt moved himself to one side of the bed, leaving room for Edd. He let his head hit the pillow, taking a deep breath.

Edd slipped out of his work uniform, getting into something more comfortable. A t-shirt and underwear.

He flicked the light back off and climbed into bed, next to Matt. He stretched his legs out, accidentally kicking Ringo off the bed.

"Oop- sorry baby." Edd tried to beckon the cat back on the bed, but the sassy little thing ran off instead.

Edd sighed, letting his aching back hit the bed. He closed his eyes, now unable to doze off, and now annoyed with his body.

He felt a warm arm wrap around him, nuzzling into his side. Edd opened an eye, looking at the man in his bed.

"You seem stressed." Matt started to rub at Edd's stomach and chest.

Edd hummed in response, letting his hand meet the ginger's.

Matt looked up at him, letting their eyes meet before looking over him, staring into space.

The brunette had opened his other eye, looking to see where Matt was staring.

He looked back at Matt's face, realizing that he was being stared at by the innocent blue eyes.

"What?" He quietly asked.

Matt shook his head in response, nuzzling back into Edd.

Edd wrapped an arm around him, embracing the warmth already there. He's glad he didn't have to wait for his bed to warm up tonight.

Matt continued rubbing on Edd's chest and stomach, letting his hand trail down to his waistline. He knew this was a sensitive spot on the man beside him.

He felt the brunette holding his breath, before he softly exhaled. Matt smiled in his side, knowing that this was turning him on.

"We can do both things!" A smile appears in his face "Would you like to?"

"Yes! It sounds nice to me" Matt smile too "I'd love to!"

The both guys look at each other and laugh. It would be a nice date.
