crush panic
summary : how they act when they have a crush
characters : all dorms (-grim &ortho)
warnings : some may be ooc, crack?, fluff, not edited, completely self indulgent everything is intended as romantic
a/n : new theme how we feeling!! my favourite is loser as its the most fun to write. im thinking of making a second part on how they confess if this does well
an absolute loser in love
he has absolutely fallen head over heels for you and now has no idea how to act normal around you anymore. the slightest bit of physical contact or praise will send him into shock, and later cause no sleep at night because he over thinks that one moment again and again. âdoes that mean they like me too? Or are they just being friendly?âÂ
yeah there's no hope for him. he acts super awkward around you, stuttering, laughing randomly, no he isn't blushing it's just suddenly hot all of the sudden-in the middle of the coldest season-he always agonizes over why he can't just act cool in front of you. during classes, if you're in his you bet heâll just stare at you from afar, and if you're in his well he discreetly glances at you every now and then not knowing that you can clearly see him looking at you-though you don't seem to mind finding it cute.
and if you tell him that heâll go bright red and avert his gaze âhaha.. uh thanks.. I think?â cue screaming into a pillow later at night.
deuce, idia, azul, riddle, sebek + ur fav
stage five complete and utter denial
he's in complete denial. there's no way that he likes you, he must be getting sick that's why his heart beats fast when you're near with his cheeks burning a bright red. he makes it his entire goal to try and lose feelings for you, so he creates a list of all your good and bad attributions-unsurprisingly all the negative ones turn out not so bad when he puts thought into it it ...what the hell is he thinking?Â
it may take a while for him to accept his feelings, so you're gonna have to endure glares when passing or in class and possible snarky comments thrown at you. However, if he hears someone is mean to you, crush be damned he can only do that to you. He tries to act completely uninterested in you, a way to fool himself that he does not like you, but the second he hears any bit of gossip he's suddenly interested.Â
he looks at you weirdly, flustered at your question âuh... why am i suddenly interested in who you were with.. no reason.â
leona, ace, vil, ruggie + ur fav
doesn't realise he has a crush
oh spare this oblivious boy, he hasn't ever really liked someone before so he doesnât know that wanting to spend more time with you, fussing over your well-being, thinking of you and how much better it would be if you were here is not what platonic friends should be thinking-especially if those thoughts lead to how would your lips feel.
someone would have to straight up tell him that he has a crush on you or he would never figure it out for himself and go on with his life never confessing. when someone finally does tell him, heâll notice how different he really acts, catching himself waiting for your messages and dropping everything once you text back. you also get the added bonus of finally seeing him flustered! since he's in the stage of actually being involved in having a crush, every touch, smile, or praise is enough to make his face and ears turn red.
âwait so you mean wanting to kiss them is not normal?â he pauses and rethinks everything he thought about you.
silver, kalim, malleus, jack + ur fav
quick to show off to impress you
he doesn't believe he can win your heart with his personality so he works extra hard on stuff he knows he can do well-better than the average person-he believes if he impresses you by this he has a chance. surprisingly he acts rather normal with you, excluding the way he's more relaxed with your presence and the constant flush on his face.
he's rather quick to recognise his crush on you and he's even more quick to decide he needs to make himself an available suitor in your eyes. youâve gotten used to your name being called out across the halls from him, strutting over to you to show you what he made or did last night-he'll become flustered if you praise him shrugging it off with flimsy excuses until he gets back into what he originally wanted to share albeit with a slight red face. what's even better is if he invites you out to come try it with him, enjoying the chance to spend time with you and show off in real time what he can do.
âwhat do you think of this, isn't it impressive? you really think so.. haha..â
trey, cater, jamil, epel + ur fav
he goes straight to courting you
he's the first to notice his change in feelings for you from platonic to romantic instantly and wastes no time to try and court you. he starts greeting you daily, offering you gifts, takes you out with the excuse of needing help and you find yourself out at a restaurant eating expensive food and wonder how the hell did you end up here when he needed a book?Â
you will never catch this boy being flustered instead you'll find yourself stuttering while turning a bright red. if you enact physical contact or compliment him he flashes you a mischievous smile and teases you for âfinally falling for himâ.. no, that was not a joke. despite all the teasing he does genuinely care about you and goes out of his way to buy or make stuff he'll think you'll like, your reaction to his displays of courting amuses him especially when you make such cute faces at him. courting is just a way for him to make his feelings known, after all you were his the moment he caught feelings.
âhm.. how did we end up at a restaurant.. does it matter? now what did you choose for the meal?â
jade, rook, lilia
there's no crush. you're dating
floyd has never experienced the crush stage and he doesn't want to after all that's boring. why wait thinking about coincidental glances, and accidental contact when he knows he likes you and you like him! he's fast to let you know his feelings and won't take no for an answer why would you reject him if you like him.Â
now that you think about it, you're not even sure floyd even asked you out. he just sort of grabbed your hand, said 'you're mine' and you both went to get food. so well done you're in a not relationship-relationship with a giant eel! floyd feels like he can never get bored being with you and is always by your side, or on since he's a fan of physical touch and will have some part of him touching you-an arm on your waist, legs over his, head tucked into your neck-the only time he's away from you is if jade or azul need him for the lounge and that's only for a few moments until you're also called by them to keep floyd in the lounge.
âhuh, do i like you?â floyd glances at you briefly before grumbling, âwe literally made out this morning and you're asking if i like you shrimpy.â
floyd

ââ smarty. ( pjs ) đȘ·
àč Jay has had enough of your brattiness for today, thereâs only so much he can take.. so he may as well teach you a little lesson, right?
pair: bf!jay ă
gf!reader | warnings: smut, angst (??), small age gap (jay is 5 years older), d/s dynamics, bratty!reader, slight ddlg themes, spanking, p.ssy slapping, oral (f. rec), edging, crying, daddy kink, multiple orgasms, overstimulation, reader is implied to be a curvy/thick girly but anyone can read tbh ! | words: 1.7k
⊠. ăâș ă . ⊠. ăâș ă . âŠ
âwhatâd i tell you about saying things like that?â
âi donât care, itâs true !â you snarled, if it hadnât been made clear how aggravated you were, it sure as hell was now.
you and jay spent the weekend with his parents at a resort somewhere in jeju. everything was going fine at first, that was until an unexpected guest invited themselves to join your little âfamily tripâ. her name was hanna ? halie ? you donât know and you didnât care. what fogged your mind for the rest of the trip was how she clung up onto jay like the smoke to dry ice.
what agitated you even more about her was her need to call you out asking you a million questions about your clothing and how sheâs so shocked that jay settled down with someone like you. all of her backhanded compliments would rub you the wrong way and she just gave you weird vibes. itâs as if you werenât âpretty enoughâ to date him; according to her at least. donât get it twisted, jay definitely shut all of that down. he wouldnât let any woman pin you as anything less than you were. a fucking goddess.
âwhyâre you acting like this? whatâd i even do?â he paused. âwhat haneul does has nothing to do with me.â he continued, eyes focused on the road. heâs become fed up with your constant nagging. maybe itâs just his level of maturity that makes him unable to see it, but he doesnât understand why you worry so much, it was as if every âi love you the mostâ âyouâre my favoriteâ âitâs only youâsâ didnât matter. he felt like his words held no weight whatsoever.
ânothing to do with you ? hah, youâre the one who let her bombard our vacation. might i add family vacation.â you sterned, shifting your body closer to the door of the vehicle, looking out the window.
âwhat did you expect me to do y/n? sheâs been a family friend for years now, i canât just tell her to fuck off and go somewhere else. sheâd go crying to my mom about how mean i was to her and thatâs just extra drama that i donât need right now..â he exhaled heavily, glancing at your avoidant figure. when he got no reply from you he left it be, turning up the music to avoid the awkward atmosphere the both of you created.
àč àč àč
âbabe, can you pass me my frames ?â jay dared to ask even though youâd been ignoring him since the incident from earlier.
ây/n.â âplease ?â watching as you hadnât budged even a bit he grew upset. it was already bad enough for him that you were acting like he didnât even exist, which was fine. though, he wouldnât just take your constant disrespect.
so he got rid of what seemed to be your main source of attention. your phone.
âwhat the fuck, jay !â you reached at him. âgive me my phone !â
âjay !â he mocked, his voice altering to sound high pitched like yours. âdonât you see that iâm trying put things back together? why do you have to act like such a child.â he was disappointed in you. you were a fully legal adult, yet your actions said differently.
âstrip.â jay broke the silence you let fill the room. you were hesitant, and confused, but at least you were actually looking at him now. âyou heard me, now.â his brow raised as his mouth slipped a scoff.
were you just gonna let him boss you around ? definitely not. were you feeling intimidated ? yes. but your pride stood stronger than the trouble youâd get into. you breathe heavily finding your way to the door of your bedroom for your dramatic escape; until you felt a tug at your arm and then the softness of your mattress, cosigned with the weight of your built boyfriend.
âi guess i have to do everything myself today, huh ?â jay sounded calm but you knew otherwise, and youâd be lying if you said you didnât let this play out just to see this side of him. âcause you did. hell, you felt your wetness dripping past the wall of your ass, the sticky sensation sending your body chills.
the jingle of his belt caught your attention, but before you could even glance at him, your face was meshed with the comforter of your shared bed. you shriek.
âjayâ !â
âoh now you wanna talk ? huh, funny.â his hand sent goosebumps throughout your body as he runs his palm over your clothed ass. âitâs a shame you donât listen. now your pretty tails gonna be all red.â he pinched the fabric of your skirt flicking it upwards onto your lower back.
â âm sorry..â you uttered feeling him tug at your underwear.
now, jay was ignoring you. all you felt was him adjusting your waist, so that your ass sat in the air.
ââm really sorry..jaââ you pause, shrieking at the leather that came in contact with your silky skin. if you could describe the feel of it, itâs like a slow burn, a slow burning that spread like wildfire everytime he unleashed the branded weapon on you.
discipline is a topic your parents took lightly. yeah, they disciplined you, but it was never a âbend over my kneeâ type of discipline. more like, every morning you wake up âsit in that cornerâ type of discipline. jay never went soft on you when it came down to it. he wanted to make sure you never do whatever youâre in trouble for again.
âcrying ? whatâre you crying for,â jay never pushed aside your emotions, he had to hear you out or his guilt would eat him alive. hearing you sniffle shot a sort of worry in him.
âlisten, you put yourself in this situationââ he paused throwing his belt. âyou already know what happens when you wanna act like a brat.â he palmed your cunt. he wasnât going to baby you this time, thatâs all he ever did. maybe this was partially his fault too..
subconsciously, you felt yourself grinding on his hand. you were needy, you always were after a punishment, even if he didnât know. but now, you were on display. there was no way he wouldnât find out.
âyouâre such a fucking slut,â his thumb caressing your entrance, pushing your sweetness through your dewy folds. âalready so wet for daddy, hm?â his thumb slid through your sticky walls in a in and out motion. your slick caking his finger everytime he pulled it from inside you.
âplease..â was a constant that came from your mouth. you didnât know what you were pleading for. more ? less ? what was it ? you only knew that he made you feel so good. the look of him drenched you. you wanted him to slut you out. ruin you.
âplease ? please what?â he couldnât help but snort at you. the mere thought that you can get what you want with just a pleaseâ scratch that. the thought that you think you can get whatever you want after testing his patience, made him laugh. âplease.. forgive me ?â
âi dunno..mâ you slurred, you were estatic. just his thumb, making you feel so dumb. it made you feel small, like you were nothing but a tiny spectacle of dust.
âyou dunno..? wanâ me to help you find out ?â you were flipped onto your back before you knew it. once you saw the shift in his eyes change, you knew what he was prone to do. the thought itself making you spread your legs wide open.
you even made the mistake of trying to rub yourself. that quickly got disposed.
âyou lost your damn mind ?â his hand reached down to slap your weeping pussy.
âbaby, i canât wait.. please!â you whined watching as he kneeled down, face between your begging thighs, hands cupping each pretty chunk of flesh.
âbut you can.â âmatter of fact, you will.â he blew onto your core. the cold sensation bringing your hips to a jolt. his eyes scanned your smaller figure watching every expression that played out on your face, then down to your breasts. âlift up your shirt, let me see your beautiful body, baby.â
earning yourself a âgood little girl.â when you comply.
àč àč àč
you hadnât gotten a break since he started his mouth on you. drinking in your first orgasm, then the second. seems like you were now on your third.
âfuck.. jay.â you groaned your hips aching to move in his grasp. youâd try not to breakdown whenever his nose came in touch with your throbbing clit.
âyou done ? talk to me baby.â he growled against your heat. his warm breath made you thirsty. he was eating you like it was his last supper. ripping you to absolute shreds.
âiâm gonna come, daddy..â your legs were shaking, your voice was whiney, and you needed an exhale. once he started sucking on your clit your back arched. at him, the feel, and the thought of him, making you feel.
âyeah, you gonna come for me ?â
âyeah.. wanâ come for you..â you spoke through labored breaths. once your moaning got louder, he stopped. heâd love to make you come, third times a charm. but he wasnât going to. he basically lured you in just to trick you.
âjayy !â âit was right there, i was about to cum !â you childishly whined at the begging sensation between your legs. the quivering feeling making you force your legs closed to suppress the throbbing feel. you felt his hungry stare on you. you knew he wanted you. itâs when you realized this wasnât an after punishment treat. he was edging you. right after overstimulating you. how cruel..
âaww, look at you ! my pretty girl..â he pouted at you, your sad, twitching state. you were groaning for more as he watched you. pitying you. how could you have thought it was over? after a mere spanking ? silly.
âi guess you really thought huh.â he cackled. âooh ! should we order room service.. iâm kinda hungry. you ?â he got up to go and search for the phone.
maybe you did deserve this. shouldnât be acting so damn bratty all the time, even if itâs in your nature to piss him off. now look at you. eyes all watery, and a mess between your legs.
oh well, not his problem.

wc : 14.9K words
note : this took me so much longer than i thought it would but itâs finally here đđ written from this request
Junior year of highschool is when you first fell in love with Yoon Jeonghan.
You were the new girl. The transfer student. The awkward, hormonal, sixteen year old girl who felt oh so small in such a big school. The nobody.
Pretending like the lingering stares, the pointing, the whisperingâall of itâwas just a figment of your imagination was easy. You had been used to tuning things out. At acting like it didnât phase you.
Private school was different than public school. Too different. The only reason you were in this place is because you were sent to live with your aunt because of the fact that your mother was in rehab and your dad wasnât in the picture. Many of the public schools in the area werenât the best, so she pulled some extra money from her savings to send you one of the nicer, private schools.
You were grateful, for her concern regarding where you went to school, but the huge contrast from transitioning to this new place was anything but easy. You may have looked just like everyone else, but you never felt like them. A bunch of self obsessed, privileged, stuck up rich kids. Yeah, you werenât that. Not by a long shot. Itâs like they could tell you didnât belong here, but you already knew that.
All of them except for him.
Jeonghan had heard the mumbled talk of your arrival since he arrived on campus. He didnât get what the big idea was. New kids came all the time, bought their way in with mommy and daddyâs help. Each and every other student here was one in the same. Predictable. Boring.
âShit, look, there she is,â Joshua whispered amongst the small group of boys, his head jerking in your direction. The rest of themâMinghao, Mingyu, Soonyoung, and Jeonghanâall spared you a single glance or two.
Minghao chuckled dryly. âSheâs gonna get eaten alive.â
"She's kinda hot though, donât you think?" Soonyoung mumbled, trailing his eyes over your body. "That skirt is way too small for her."
âItâs like six in the morning. Can you not be horny right now?â Mingyu sighed, yet Soonyoungâs gaze remained on you until you disappeared from his line of sight. Jeonghan remained silent.
Joshua nudged his friend. âWhat? You have nothing to say?â
âWhat is there to say?â Jeonghan asked, swirling around his iced coffee that had been way too expensive to taste so cheap. âSheâs a girl and sheâs new.â Soonyoung booed him, loudly, attracting the attention of other passing students.
âYouâre no fun.â He said and crossed his arms. Jeonghan gave him no response. âWhatever. How long do you think sheâll last?â
âIâll give her until the end of the day,â Mingyu nodded. The others looked at him in disbelief, which made the boy roll his eyes. âWhat? Iâm an optimist.â
Soonyoung hummed in thought, weighing his available options. âFour hours max.â
Minghao shook his head. âTwo and a half.â
âIâm gonna sayâŠOne hour.â Joshua added. Then they all turned their heads to Jeonghan. He didnât respond until the staring became unbearable.
âGod, youâre all such pessimists, you know that?â He scoffed. âIâm not doing this with you today.â
âYou have faith in her,â Minghao teased, poking the older boy in the side. âYouâre so easy to read.â
âCut that shit out.â Jeonghan hissed, pushing away Minghaoâs hand. Minghao, Mingyu, and Joshua giggled. He was so easy to piss off.
âIâm gonna go talk to her,â Soonyoung cracked his knuckles with a confidentâbordering on arrogantâsmile.
âSeriously, donâtââ Minghao sighed, but the other boy was beyond reason. By the time he even said anything, Soonyoung was literally in your face.
The expression on your face was pensive, relaxed even. UntilâŠ
âHey, new girl.â
You looked up, your eyes looking over him with disinterest. Soonyoung cleared his throat when you didnât reply, running his hand through his hair in an attempt to relieve the awkward atmosphere.
âIâm Soonyoung, but you can call me Hoshi.â
âNo.â You deadpanned.
His eyes widened. Were you serious? He could hear the others trying to keep in their laughter behind him.
âIs there something you need?â You asked, raising one of your eyebrows. Soonyoung stammered, only managing to speak the words âIâŠâ or âwhat?â before he sighed and lowered his head.
âHoshi, are you done making yourself look stupid yet?â Mingyu shouted, stopping between almost every word so he could laugh. By now, there was an even bigger scene being made by Mingyuâs additional comment, much to your embarrassment.
âExcuse me,â you mumbled to him as you scurried off to the bathroom, leaving not only Soonyoung shocked but also the little audience you had gathered shocked as well.
âWow, what a smooth talker.â Joshua clapped, a wide grin on his face. âShe was all over you.â
Minghao giggled. âI recorded the entire thing. Hey, who should I send this to first?â
âOh fuck off,â Soonyoung hissed, his face flushed with embarrassment. âNobody needs to see that shit.â
âRight, like half the school hasnât already.â Jeonghan gestured to the multitude of people still lingering around in the hallways, huddled in groups whispering about the events that had just happened. Glancing at Joshua after you were gone, he smirked.
âSo?â Joshua asked. âWhatâs your judgement?â
Jeonghan sipped the last of his drink, shaking it around and poking at the ice with his straw to see if there was any left. When he discovered none, he discarded the cup in the trash and crossed his arms over his chest. âI like her.â
You spent very little time in the bathroom, your visit only being to calm your nerves and steady your thoughts, but you didnât expect to see the same boy and the rest of his friends huddled outside the bathroom waiting for you.
Wide-eyed, you stared between the five of them.âUmâŠhello?â
âHi!â Mingyu smiled at you brightly, side eyeing Jeonghan when he nudged him aside. A quiet gasp slips past your lips; this boy was gorgeous.
âI assume you have a name? Or should we continue calling you new girl?â
âMy nameâŠ?â You repeated, feeling your body growing warm at the proximity between the two of you. âOh, my name. Iâm [Y/n].â Jeonghan nodded, and then he smiled at you. You felt even hotter now. A little dumb, too, certain that you were embarrassing yourself.
âThatâs cute,â he said, still smiling softly. Jeonghan threw one of his arms over your shoulder, keeping you close to him as he and the rest of his friends started to walk down the hallway. âSo then, youâll sit with us at lunch, right [Y/n]?â You stared at him, dumbfounded, unable to believe that he was actually being serious with you. Soonyoung, finding this funny, couldnât help but laugh.
âWhoâs stammering now?â He quipped, earning him a glare from Jeonghan. Soonyoung didnât speak again.
âSit with you?â You asked again, and Jeonghan nodded. âAre you sure?â Everyoneâs eyes seemed to be on you as you were basically escorted down the hall with Jeonghan at your side, except this time it wasnât your imagination. For some reason it felt like you were being stared at now more than ever.
âOf course weâre sure.â Joshua reassured you. When he looked close enough to fully take in the look on your face, he gave you a smile that was full of sympathy. âIgnore them. Theyâre all assholes. Weâre the nice ones!â
Joshua was right, in a way. Jeonghan and his friends were the nicest group of assholes youâve ever been associated with. It was one of those âmean to everyone except youâ type of dynamics, especially with Jeonghan himself. You knew it wasnât wise to, but you couldnât help how your heart would beat faster whenever he was around since he only seemed to regard you as a close friend and nothing more.
You also couldnât help but notice that he was as oblivious as he was cute. The others noticed, (Joshua was the first, obviously, then Minghao, then Mingyu, and then Soonyoung, who was heartbroken that youâd choose Jeonghan over him, and you didnât know if he was joking or not) but he seemed like the only one who couldnât get a hint. Even when you were being as direct and obvious as possible, Jeonghan still remained as unaffected by your affection as a white crayon did on white paper.
By senior year, you and Jeonghan started to grow apart. It was gradual, falling out of touch with one another as the last school year just passed you both by, until it seemed like Jeonghan was once again nothing but the cute boy you knew nothing about like he had been on your first day. The rest of the boys were devastated, Joshua most of all.
Aside from you, it seemed like he was the one who wanted Jeonghan to quit being dull and realize you liked him. Just tell him already, thatâs what heâd always say. You always said you would, only to end up doing the opposite.
What if Jeonghan didnât feel the same way? What if it destroyed your friendship? What if he never wanted anything to do with you after you told him? Each question seemed more unbearable than the last. It was easier to love him than to lose him.
The last time you saw him was at graduation. After the ceremony, roaming around the parking lot past all the smiling families taking pictures of their children with their brand new diplomas, looking for your auntâs carâyou ran into him.
â[Y/n]!â He called out to you, waving both of his arms in the air to draw your attention. He hugged you once you were close enough, squeezing you a little bit. âIâm sad now, weâre not going to see each other every day anymore,â he pouted, and you smiled, even though the thought of that saddened you just as much.
Having him act so naturally with you threw you for such a loop. Talking to him like this made it feel like your friendship hadnât come to an end, like you two were old friends who had never been apart.
âDonât be sad. Iâm sure weâll run into each other again.â You continued to smile, trying hard to make sure it didnât look fake. You needed to believe what you were saying if you wanted him to do the same. Luckily for you it seemed effective, because Jeonghanâs face soon broke into a smile as well before he held his pinky up to you.
âPromise?â
Now you were smiling for real. Jeonghan, at the ripe age of eighteen, still believed deeply in pinky promises. They were sacred, never to be broken, those were his words. Others may have found him childish for this, you found it noble.
Nodding, you linked your pinky with his. âPromise.â
The promise you made with Jeonghan turned five today. Five years since senior year ended, five years since you made that promise with him, five years since youâve seen Yoon Jeonghanâs face in person.
Now you saw him everywhere; on billboards, in ads, plastered on posters in the windows of just about every storeâeverywhere you went, Jeonghanâs face was sure to be there.
He was certainly doing better than you, no doubt. Odds are he wouldnât even recognize you anymore. You worked at the local Ihop, drive your auntâs old Toyota Camry, trying to save up enough money to move out of her house and into your own apartment.
You had wanted to attend college, even if only for a little, but your aunt only had enough money stashed away to send you to that ridiculously pricey private school, not to mention room she was already taking care of you for your mom while she was stillâŠaway, and you couldnât afford to go into debt or pay anyone back.
So while Jeonghan walked runways in Milan and New York, you stayed in town and missed him every time his name was mentioned by one of your coworkers, forcing away the feelings you harbored for him.
Something like that was bound to happen to him, though. He was already so handsome, and his parents no doubt had the connections needed to allow something like that for their son. You were happy for him. Even after all this time, you continued to remain his biggest supporter. Youâd buy every product he endorsed, watch any content he was featured in, and youâd stare at his pictures in awe, unable to believe that he just always seemed to get more and more good looking.
To Jeonghan, it was different. He enjoyed the attention. He liked being told by other people how handsome he was. He liked having people who adored him. But that was about it. Not once did he enjoy waking up early, rushing from shoot to shoot, sitting through meetings, none of it. He could live without the pressure to keep smiling, or the nagging from his parents, orâworst of allâthe questions on his love life.
Jeonghan had never dated anyone since becoming a model, not even in private. There were zero scandals regarding a romantic relationship when it came to him, but the media was still unconvinced. He wondered how or why they always found the time to be so nosy. Why couldnât they understand thatâs just not what he was looking for right now?
âSo Jeonghan, I think you all know the question on every one of our minds, right?â Jihyo asked with a smile, shifting around in her seat a little. Jeonghan responded with his convincing fake laughsâhe had to have them mastered by now after all the invasive questions heâd constantly be asked by people like the paparazzi, or in this case, talk-show hosts. âIs there a special girl in your life that youâre hiding from us?â
The audience erupted into a fit of âoooâsâ and âaahâsâ all while Jeonghan tried to hide his discomfort with the subject. âHonestly, Jihyo? There really is nobody right now. Iâm justïżœïżœnot interested in dating.â
âOh, come on! Are you sure youâre not seeing anyone in secret?â The sound of Jihyoâs laughter echoed through the studio as is blended with the reactions from the audience. Jeonghan laughed along with her, wondering how much longer heâd be here. Heâd already had to have a long meeting with his parents and his agency this morning, then done a product endorsement for a cosmetics brand afterwards, and now he was here, entertaining Jihyo and her live studio audience. Today was relatively low maintenance for him, so after he left here there was only one thing he wanted to do before going home; eat.
Jeonghan shook his head, a small smile on his face. âIf I were seeing someone, they wouldnât be a secret.â
Jihyoâs face lit up in surprise, her mouth parting as she took in his response. âWow! It seems like Jeonghan is that kind of boyfriend, huh?â Various reactions came from the crowd, most of them being screams of Jeonghanâs name praising him for his response. âAll right, thatâs all the time we have for today, but tune in tomorrow to hear Jo Yuri talk about her acting debut! Thatâs all for now!â
âAlright, thatâs it people! Letâs wrap it up!â
Jeonghan exhaled with relief, saying a polite goodbye to Jihyo before he excused himself off the set and to his car. He cursed when he noticed how dark the sky was beginning to get. Most of the places he wanted to go would be closing by now. He thought hard to remember the places that stayed open late, then remembered that the local Ihop was always open. He wasnât the biggest fan of the place, not by a long shot, but heâd just have to suck it up for the sake of his hunger.
Business at work had been slow today. It was only Monday, and you never got too much of a crowd during the start of the week, especially not when it was so early in the morning. Chaewon had suggested the two of you take a short break in the bathroom (though knowing her, she just wanted to gossip).
âNo way, [Y/n]. Youâre telling me you really knew Jeonghan in high school?â Chaewon asked you, leaning against the bathroom sink as she brushed some of her hair out of her face. âWhat was he like?â
You shrugged as you washed your hands. âHe was nice. Well, he was nice to me.â This made Chaewon gasp and grab onto your shoulder, pressing her lips together to try and hide the smile creeping onto her face.
âOh my gosh, he was totally into you!â
Yoon Jeonghan? Into you? You laughed dryly, really finding your friendâs enthusiasm cute, but at the same time you seriously doubted it. If what he said in those interviews were true, there was no chance. He wasnât interested in dating; in relationships altogether.
You were just about to respond to her when the door to the bathroom flew open. Sakura, your manager, was standing in the doorway staring at the two of you like sheâd caught you doing something you shouldnât have.
âWhat are you two still doing in here?â She asked. âSomeone is waiting to have their order taken.â
âComing,â you sighed, patting your hands dry with three paper towels too many and rushing out behind Sakura. You approached one of the booths closer to the entrance, notepad in hand. âWelcome to Ihop, what can Iââ
The person sitting in the booth lowers the menu, and time seems to stop. He looks up at you. You look down at him. It was like neither of you could believe you were seeing each other in this setting, of all places.
âJeongâŠhan?â You mumbled, blinking rapidly to see if he was really the person sitting there. He couldnât really be here, could he? But then he smirked and you were convinced; he was real.
âItâs good to see you too, [Y/n].â He muses, flipping back and forth through the menu a few more times before setting in down on the table. He soaks in the dumbfounded look on your face with an overly smug smile. âDonât just stand there, sit.â
âIâm the waitress, I canât justââ
âSit.â
You slid down into the seat across from him without missing a beat. A part of you felt embarrassed for giving into him so easily, the part of you with dignity.
âWhat are you doing here?â You asked, which got you an amused laugh from Jeonghan.
âIâm hungry, [Y/n]. Why else do people come to Ihop?â
Well, it was good to know he was still a smart ass after all this time. Even if you were attracted to him, then and now, you still couldnât help but roll your eyes. âOkay, you know thatâs not what I mean.â
Jeonghan tilted his head to one side. âI live here too, remember?â Then he sighed and laughed weakly. âHas it really been that long?â
A frown found its way onto your lips. Maybe it has been that long, it was like Jeonghan was suddenly a stranger to you even after the time youâd spent together in school. Thinking about that made something inside of you ache.
âI guess it has.â You mumbled. Your eyes remained locked on the table and not Jeonghan, not even when he started to give you his order. Sliding out of the seat, you gave him your usual service industry smile. âIâll be right back with that.â
You scrambled to the kitchen, handing off the order to the cooks. âHey, Chaewon, can you go bring the customer out there his drink?â
Slightly skeptical, Chaewon glanced down at the glass in your hand yet took it anyway. âWhy canât you go bring it to him? You already took his order.â
âJust help me out, okay? Just this once?â The girl sighed, mumbling under her breath as she exited the kitchen. You try to take this moment to finally catch your breath and calm your nerves, but itâs quickly ruined when you hear a shriek, followed by Chaewon running back to the kitchen, a starstruck look on her face.
âYoon Jeonghan is in our restaurant,â she says, her hand clutching the front of her shirt. âAnd heâs asking for you, [Y/n].â
Of course heâs asking for you. There was no way youâd get out of this little reunion with him so easily. Jeonghan never let things be simple, youâd learned that quickly from your time being friends with him.
âJust bring the food once itâs ready, Chae,â you muttered, walking out of the kitchen and back to the booth Jeonghan was seated at. He looked up at you, pointing to the spot across from him, and you sat. âIs there something you want from me, Jeonghan?â
âJust some company,â He replied with a faux pout. He noticed that you were still looking at him like you could see through his lie, so he shrugged and smiled. âOkay, fine. I really did come here to eat, but I do need help with something else too.â
Raising your eyebrows, you urged him to continue. âI need you to be my girlfriend.â If you had opened your eyes any wider, they probably might have popped out of your head.
âW-What?â You shouted. Jeonghan put one of his fingers to his lips to shush you, which only helped to get you quiet and not to calm your racing heart. âBut youâre always sayingâŠâ
âListen,â He held one of your hand with both of his. âI know, I know. Iâm always saying Iâm not looking to date right now. But thatâs exactly why I need you. Iâm hoping to get everyone off my fucking back even if itâs just for a little while. Once the news of our relationship dies down, we can call it quits.â
You felt like this was a really vivid dream; like your subconscious was playing an elaborate trick on you and that none of this was actually real. Jeonghan squeezed your hand and looked at you expectantly. This mustâve been really important to him, and he was counting on you. Curse your simple heart, seven years had passed and you still felt like the love struck sixteen year old you were when you first met him.
This was a bad idea. No, this was a terrible idea. You should tell him that. There is no way you should sayâ
âOkay, fine. But only until the news dies down.â
Jeonghan grinned, visibly pleased with your response.
âI knew I could count on you.â
Thinking with your brain was always hard for you to do whenever you even thought about him, so having him make such a large request of you was basically keeping you from acting with any sort of rationality.
But Jeonghan didnât need to know all that. You propped your elbow up on the cool surface of the table and leaned your head into the palm of your hand, swallowing down your apprehension. âWhat are friends for?â
When you woke up the next morning, the only thing on your mind was Jeonghan. Your interaction with him at your job hadnât been a dream. He had asked you to be his (pretend) girlfriend, and you had agreed. You partly regretted the decision like you would a hangover, knowing that you still had feelings for him and telling him youâd go along with his plans could only end so many ways. Youâd have to stop thinking with your heart so often.
In your moment of doubt, you received a text from Jeonghan. After he had finished his very late lunch yesterday, he tore off a piece of the receipt and scribbled down his phone number on it for you to keep, leaving you behind with a generous tip and a fuzzy feeling in your stomach. Fucking butterflies.
Heâd also left you a very lovely, romantic text.
Iâm picking you up at 7:45.
Ever the charmer. You checked the time; it was exactly 7. You groaned and hoped that this wouldnât become an everyday thing, you didnât even go into work this early.
Jeonghan ended up arriving outside your auntâs house ten minutes later than he said he would, which only made you feel dumb for racing against the clock to make yourself look presentable.
He kept his eyes on you as you buckled up. âGood morning.â You side-eyed him, just barely making out the stupid lopsided grin on his lips.
âFor you, maybe.â
âYouâll get used to it, I already have.â
So this would be an everyday thing. Great.
Accompanying Jeonghan around had given you a unique perspective on your own life. You had already thought there was a lot on your own plate, but Jeonghan, you werenât sure how he handled it all. Sitting through meetings, fittings, hair and makeup, and photoshoot after photoshoot was tiring you out and you werenât even the model.
You did like the rush of pride you got whenever Jeonghan introduced you as his girlfriend. Getting to see the shocked look on the faces of the people who worked beside him made you feel like you were important. If you didnât have to get up so early all the time, maybe this was something you could get used to.
âItâs boring, right?â Jeonghan said, pulling you out of your thoughts.
âWhat do you mean?â
He sighed, waving away the man that was wiping off his makeup. âThe sitting around, the waiting, all of it. Youâre bored, arenât you?â
You raised one of your eyebrows. âWhy would you think Iâm bored?â You asked. âAre you bored?â
âObviously,â he scoffed in reply. âI wouldâve rather done pretty much anything else. I mentioned being a model, like, one time and they just went with it. I didnât wanna argue with my parents, though.â He shrugged, and that was it.
There was a sudden awkward tension in the air with Jeonghanâs overly honest confession. You glanced at the man who was in charge of removing his makeup, sharing a sheepish look with him before breaking eye contact. He was two for two on the eye opening revelations today, and you werenât too sure you could handle a third.
Clearing your throat, you tried to think of a way to steer the conversation into a different direction. âSo, uh, where to after this?â
âThe gym. I wouldâve gone tomorrow but Joshua said heâd meet me there.â
Finally, a break in this drag of a schedule of his. And youâd get to see Joshua. You could feel your boredom melting away like ice on a hot day as you got up and stretched.
âIâll be in the car.â
So, about the visit to the gymâŠ
It was fine at first. Normal. You greeted Joshua, hugged him, expressed how good it was to see him and how much you had missed him after all this time, and he smiled and done the same.
Speaking of Joshua, he had almost screamed when Jeonghan mentioned that you and him were seeing each other, and when he looked at you to confirm that he was telling the truth, he did scream, earning him confused and concerned stares from the people around you. Lying to him warded off the happy feeling you had built up on the way over here in a heartbeat, so you stayed silent for the duration of his workout with Jeonghan.
âShit, dude, I gotta go. Something just came up,â Joshua apologized quickly and rushed out of the building, leaving just you, Jeonghan, and a small handful of other people rich or important enough to get into this private space.
You werenât sure why, maybe it was the hot, sticky air of the gym. Maybe it was Jeonghan sitting there, all sweaty and panting and looking at you with that stupidly sexy smirk on his face. Maybe it was a bunch of other things you couldnât bring your mind to conjure up the words for, but something was about to happen, you could feel it.
âI should shower.â Jeonghan suddenly said, parting his sweaty body from the machine he had been occupying. His eyes flashed with something you couldnât quite place. âWanna join?â
Thatâs the short version of how you ended up pressed up against the wall gym shower, your back to Jeonghan as he took you from behind. Your head spun with desire and a dash of shame. Even though it felt really good, you hadnât even kissed Jeonghan once since declaring your status as (fake) girlfriend and boyfriend.
âOh, baby. If I had known you felt this good Iâd have done this ages ago,â Jeonghan moaned into your ear, and you could feel your knees buckle under you. That sweet-talking mouth of his would definitely be a problem for you, you were calling it now. Hearing such vulgar comments fall from his lips so naturally made you wonder why he was so good at this.
âF-Fuck, Jeonghan. Donât stopâŠâ The tiles of the small shower felt cold and wet against your skin, the feeling being the only thing keeping you somewhat grounded. Jeonghanâs hands held your hips tightly when you almost slipped as he mumbled something about being careful. If you werenât in this position youâd have slapped him. âYouâre not funny.â
Jeonghan isnât bothered by your remark in the slightest. He snaps his hips forward, loving the way you gasp and push yourself back to meet his thrusts. He really thought you looked cute like this, so easily losing your composure because of him. He knew about the effect he could have on people, but none of them mattered now that he saw how you reacted to him. âTell me how it feels baby.â
âSo good, Jeonghan. F-Feels so fucking good.â You whined, your mine tuned in on the feeling of his wet skin against yours and the sounds of both of your moans.
âThatâs right, feels so good. Youâre so cute, you know that?â
Your muscles clenching around his cock when he said that was the one thing that seemed to have Jeonghan lose his cool. He nestled his face in the crook of your neck, kissing and sucking at the skin there while he rubbed your clit in fast circles, urging you closer and closer to the bliss of your release.
âGonnaâŠIâm g-gonnaââ You try to say only to be cut off by your own hoarse wail of Jeonghanâs name as your orgasm hits you. Afraid that you might fall, Jeonghan holds onto you even tighter all while continuing to fuck you through your high. He glances down, biting his lip at the sight of the white ring forming at the base of his cock and the streaks of cum streaking down your inner thighs. Never did he think a visual so filthy would get him off, but he couldnât help but bite your shoulder and curse quietly as he felt himself cum.
The water had gone cold by now, making the realization of just how long youâd been in here weigh heavy on your mind. Jeonghan squeezed one of your hips before he pulled out of you and stepped out to find some towels. You turned off the cool water, leaning back against the same wall youâd just been fucked against and sighed.
Now you really couldnât go back.
Out of nowhere, a hauntingly embarrassing thought crawled its way into your mind. âOh no,â you gasped. âJeonghan, what if someone heard us?â He just laughed at your panicked words.
âPrivate gym, private showers.â He explained, smiling when you visibly relaxed. âYou make some pretty funny faces, has anyone ever told you that?â
You rolled your eyes, but there was a smile on your face. âYeah, you have, back in school.â There had been many instances in your teenage years where Jeonghan had often laughed harder to your reactions to certain events more than the event itself, and heâd always tell you how âfascinatingâ your range of facial expressions were. History does repeat itself after all. âHas it really been that long?â Hearing the words heâd said to you the other day elicited a soft chuckle from Jeonghan as he pulled your body closer to his, wrapping one of the warm towels around your shivering frame.
You didnât like the way your heart was beating faster at an action as simple as that as if he hadnât just had his way with you in that little cubicle this place dared to call a shower, but you just laughed with him and hoped that he wouldnât notice.
âI guess it has.â
When you returned to work on Friday, you received a warm welcome from your favorite coworker and best friend.
Translation: Chaewon screaming at the top of her lungs and shaking you back and forth.
âYou didnât tell me youâre DATING YOON JEONGHAN!â Her grip was entering bruise territory. âI thought we were friends!â
âChaewon, please,â Sakura sighed, prying you out of her arms. âYouâre dating that boy that came in the other day? Whatâs the big deal?â
Chaewon had never looked so shocked. Well, thatâs a lie, but right now thatâs just how her face looked. âThe big deal is him! Heâs literally everywhere, Sakura. Heâs YOON JEONGHAN!â
The customers could no doubt hear her frantic screaming from the kitchen despite your best efforts to make her quiet down. Unfortunately trying to get Chaewon to calm down was like trying to get a penguin to fly.
âHow do you even know about that anyway?â You asked. Chaewon held up a finger, quickly pulling her phone out of her pocket and typing a few words into google and hitting search. She held it out to you and Sakura, and your jaw dropped.
Pictures of you and Jeonghan leaving the gym together, hand in hand, along with a plethora of articles inquiring about your identity as Jeonghanâs girlfriend. Your face wasnât visible in any of them, but anyone who knew you could tell that you were the one beside him in those photos.
âOh, wow. Yeah, thatâs you alright.â Sakura hummed without even sparing you a glance. âThatâs nice. Heâs a handsome guy. Good for you, [Y/n].â
You smiled, feeling a little awkward with all the sudden attention. âThanks, Kkura.â You couldnât even prepare yourself to be grabbed by Chaewon a second time, so you just let it happen.
âTell. Me. Everything.â
âUhâŠâ
âYou can talk after work,â Sakura sighed, pulling you away from Chaewon once again. â[Y/n]âs boyfriend will still be with her after her shift is over.â
You really hoped so.
For almost the entirety of your shift, you were somewhat unfocused on your actual job and more on the leaked pictures of you and Jeonghan. Never had you been used to having so much attention on you, especially over a guy. Of course, Jeonghan wasnât just any guy, but still. All of the hype had to be because of what heâd always preached about not being interested in dating, no doubt, but other than that your sentiment was similar to that of your managerâs: whatâs the big deal?
Chaewon also seemed off, though it was mostly only because she couldnât wait to pick your brain about your relationship with the model. She kept looking at you and smiling for the entirety of your shift, and youâd just try and pretend you didnât see her. It was working fine until you know who came back to pay you another unexpected visit.
âHey, your boyfriend is here!â She whispered to you when you returned from a quick trip to the bathroom. You felt confused and surprised at the same time, he was supposed to beâŠanywhere but here right now. The stupid organ in your chest jumped when you considered the possibility that he was actually here for you.
Making your way to the front of the restaurant, Jeonghan stood there, hands in his pockets, looking pleased to see you.
âJeonghan, what are you doing here?â He pouted at you.
âIs that the only question you know how to ask me?â You crossed your arms, not in the mood for his little games right now. âSorry, fine. I wanted to see you. Make sure youâre handling the news well.â
âNewsâŠ? Oh, that.â You werenât too thrilled to talk about your sudden rise to fame even though it had been the only thing on your mind ever since finding out from Chaewon today. Kind of ironic. âItâs whatever, I guess. I mean, I couldnât believe it when Chaewon showed me the pictures, but that was pretty much it.â You shrugged.
âWow,â Jeonghan hummed. âHave you always been this blunt? Whereâs the girl with the bob? I like her energy better.â He started to laugh, the sound only getting louder when you hit him on the chest. You knew didnât hurt him, not even in the slightest, and his cute giggling only made you madder. Damn him and his smart mouth. âJust kidding, baby.â
And there he goes with the nicknames again. Seriously, damn him and his smart talking, filthy, mouth and all the words heâd speak with it to get you all flustered.
âYou never answered me. Donât you have a photo shoot or a fitting, or, I donât know, somewhere else to be instead of Ihop on a Friday?â
Jeonghan just smiled at you. âForgive me for wanting to just stop by and say hello to my girlfriend.â
âJeonghan.â
Your eyes watched him as he tried to bite back the smile on his lips to no avail. He nodded slowly, seemingly getting the hint that you could always manage to see right through him. He didnât know if it was a good or bad thing.
âAlright, alright. You remember that show I was on not too long ago? The one with Jiyho?â Of course you remembered. Chaewon had sent the link to the video once it was uploaded to youtube (like she did with everything involving Jeonghan) along with a bunch of incorrectly spelled words in all caps expressing her excitement and disbelief. He continued speaking once you nodded. âYeah, so, she pretty much wants me back on the showâŠwith you.â He puts his hands on your shoulders, waiting for you to object to the whole thing.
But you donât object. You glance to the side once, then back at him, and shrug like you had done moments earlier. âOkay. Iâm off on Wednesdays and Thursdays.â The man in front of you sighed and shook his head.
âShe wants us there tomorrow. Canât you get someone else to come in for you, or something?â
You exhaled a heavy, dramatic sigh. âFine. But you owe me, okay? This is coming out of my paycheck.â The look of utter happiness on Jeonghanâs face whenever you give into him is something you think youâll never get tired of seeing, like he really thought itâd take more convincing to get you to say yes. Youâve literally been wrapped around his finger since you were sixteen, it was honestly surprising that he had the nerve to explain himself to you sometimes when you damn near lacked the ability to say no to him.
âYouâre the best,â he was still smiling when he pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead. âIâll pick you up tomorrow, okay? Wear something cute.â
You made some sort of strange yet quiet noise of acknowledgment, watching him with slightly parted lips as he walked out of the doors and back to his car. Jeonghan had just kissed you. On the forehead, yeah, but it was still a kiss. And not like he had kissed you in the shower, either, this one felt different. Tingly. Youâd have probably stayed rooted to that spot if Sakura hadnât started yelling for you to get back to work.
âComing!â
Mornings always seemed to come too fast for you, especially when you were going anywhere with Jeonghan. Time had to be speeding up on purpose knowing that you were always rushing to get ready lest you make Jeonghan late to one of his unmissable and very important (that you were still shocked to discover how much he despised) events.
You were worried about wearing the âwrong thingâ even though you had no idea you should wear for something like this and texted Jeonghan for help last night. He responded with a short explanation of what heâd be wearing and said that you could just wear whatever you thought would match or complement what heâd have on. And then heâd sent one more a few minutes after that. One that read:
good night [y/n] sleep thigh
You had responded with a series of question marks, expecting some kind of explanation or clarification, but he mustâve gone to sleep right after that because there was no response for the rest of the night.
So when you had settled yourself into the passenger seat of his car, youâd decide to question him about it now.
âOh, I meant sleep tight,â Jeonghan told you. He pointed at the seatbelt, staring at you until you were buckled up and only then did the car start to move. âWere you really thinking about that all night? Even I make spelling mistakes, [Y/n].â
You could sense that he was about to start laughing even before you started talking. âNo! I justâŠwhatever, nevermind.â And youâd been right, Jeonghan laughed just like he always did whenever you seemed to make what you considered a fool of yourself in front of him. He noticed that you were frowning from the corner of his eye and placed one of his hands on your thigh. You flinched at the contact.
âWhat?â He asked, starting to pull it away, but you grabbed it and placed it back down.
âNothing.â You shook your head. âItâs nothing. Your hands are just cold.â This made him smirk. He poked your cheek, your forearm, and your upper thigh, the smile on his face getting wider each time you shivered and tried to push it away. âQuit it!â
âYou like it,â he was giggling now, and you were too. You didnât even realize that you were until he had pointed to your mouth and laughed even harder. As long as Jeonghan had known you, youâd never giggled before. He joked that he was starting to rub off on you as he poked you with his cold fingers one more time. âI like that dress, by the way.â His hand found its way back to your thigh, feeling slightly less cold now. Maybe the heat of your body was warming him up, because you definitely felt hot right now.
âThank you.â
âMhm. You wore it just for me, didnât you?â
Your eyes grew the slightest bit wider. That was partly the truth, yes. Youâd also worn it because heâd told you to wear something nice and this dress just so happened to be one of the nicest pieces of clothing you owned that was appropriate for an event like this. The former option seemed to be the one he was more interested in though, seeing as how he was pushing up the hem of the dress and glancing at your underwearâand the wet patch on it.
âWell, yeah, you kinda told me to.â Jeonghan loved the fact that you were actively choosing to either ignore the fact that you were wet right now or pretend like it didnât faze you. He pressed one of his (still somewhat cold) fingers on the spot and started to rub it, making you shiver and moan. âJ-Jeonghan, youâre doing this now?â
âAh, you know what? Youâre right. My hands are still cold, arenât they?â He mumbled, but his hand stayed placed firmly against your upper thigh. You hated the way you whined at his teasing and the way you craved more. âAww, baby. I was just doing what you wanted. Are you mad at me now?â
âYouâre literally the worst!â Huffing, you slapped his hand away and Jeonghan, stubborn as ever, just placed it right back down on your thigh. âDonât touch me.â You tried sounding stern despite the way you were starting to grin, much to Jeonghanâs amusement.
âI owe you one, okay?â His voice was full of nothing but sincerity as he pulled the edges of your dress back down. âPut on a good show for Jihyo and Iâll let you cum as many times as you want later, deal?â
Your response came immediately, like you hadnât even had to think about it. âDeal.â
Jihyo was even prettier in person. You werenât used to seeing her without her hair in a bob, like Chaewon, but she seemed to be in the process of growing her hair out. Her skin was a little tanner in person and she had a smile that was kind and natural, which made you feel at ease.
âSo, everyone, Iâm sure youâve all seen the pictures, right? Of Jeonghan and his supposed girlfriend?â Jihyo turned so that she faced the audience, nodding along at their responses. âI know, I saw them too, and when I tell you my jaw literally dropped. I was like, Iâve gotta get him back on the show. Well here he is, everyone! And with his mystery girl too!â She held one of her arms out and the audience erupted into applause seeing you and Jeonghan hand in hand walk onto the set. Jihyo clapped as well, watching the two of you the whole time while you took your seats beside each other.
âItâs good to be back, Jihyo. Thanks for having me.â Jeonghan was as polite as ever, his fingers still interlaced with your own. The woman just scoffed and shook her head.
âOh, itâs nothing! You know how much of a joy you are to have on set.â Then she turned to you, eyebrows shooting up. âAnd you! Whatâs your name, sweetie?â
âIâm [Y/n].â The smile on your face was a little awkward, but the audience still received the interaction positively and applauded once more.
âWell [Y/n], arenât you a lucky girl?â She leaned a little forward in her seat. âYouâre doing what a lot of other girls could literally only dream of. How does it feel to be dating Jeonghan?â
Itâs everything Iâve ever wanted. Itâs like a dream come true. Itâs perfect, in every sense of the word. And itâs all one big lie.
âItâsâŠitâs really crazy to think about it, you know? Like, Iâm just a normal girl, but Iâm dating him?â You ended your reply by gesturing to Jeonghan, both of you smiling. More clapping came from the audience. It seemed to be going well.
âThatâs totally understandable. If I were you, I wouldâve lost it. You probably did lose it a little, I would imagine, right?â You nodded at her question, recalling the day he had proposed the whole idea to you. Thinking about how you managed to keep your nerves under control in that situation amazed you, followed by a surge of pride for being able to keep up your act on nonchalance so well when in Jeonghanâs presence. So in Jihyoâs words, yeah, you did lose it just a little.
âRight, right. And you, mister, how long has this been going on?â Jihyo pointed one of her neatly manicured fingers right at Jeonghan. âI remember you saying youâd never keep that special someone a secret.â
Jeonghan leaned back and rested his hands flat on the arms of his chair. â[Y/n] wasnât ready to be in the public eye. She was just nervous, and Iâd never make her do something she didnât want to. Forgive me.â Seeing the fake pout on his lips caused one to form on Jihyoâs face as well. He was pretty good at this lying on the spot stuff. Maybe a little too good.
âYou sweet thing. What a considerate boyfriend. Anyone else feeling a little bit jealous right now?â Jihyo glanced at the audience, responding as eagerly as ever. âIâm definitely feeling a little envious. Like just a pinch. No, but seriously, I wanna know everything. Oh, tell us this: who fell in love first? Iâm really curious.â
You sat up in your seat a little straighter. Should you answer? Should you tell the truth? Would Jeonghan finally get the hint you just confessed right now, or would he think youâre just playing along?
âI did.â You snapped your head in Jeonghanâs direction, and you felt tingly again. It didnât help that he winked at you either, insinuating that this was yet another lie and that you should continue to act naturally. The audience was eating this up.
Jihyo held her hands over her open mouth, looking between you and the crowd. âWow! IâŠjust wow! Iâm so shocked! I was expecting you to be the one whoâŠâ She couldnât even finish speaking given her exasperation, but you could read between the lines. Jihyo wasnât the only one thrown for a loop with his answer, you genuinely had no idea he would say that. â[Y/n], sweetie, did you know he was the one who liked you first?â
âNo,â you were being honest for the first time. âIâm just as shocked as you are.â You look at Jeonghan once again, your eyes immediately noticing the smug look written all over his face. You didnât like it.
A few more questions later, Jihyo announced that there was âno more time, sorry, i know,â and started to dismiss everyone on the set. You and Jeonghan gave her one last round of polite smiling and goodbyes before you let Jeonghan escort you back to his car. The difference in your moods was stark; Jeonghan seemed to be on cloud nine while you were still hung up over what he had told Jihyo earlier.
âUm, Jeonghan, about what you said back thereâŠâ
âI know, right! Did you see the faces of the people in the audience?â He looked so happy, sounded so happy. Anyone could tell he was enjoying the attention. You werenât. You wanted answers.
You rolled your eyes. âYeah, I saw them. They really just eat up anything you say, even if youâre lying.â
For the first time in a while, you noticed a dramatic change in Jeonghanâs expression. It was only for a second, maybe less, but it happened. Something like nervousness mixed with a dash of sadness and a pinch of guilt mixed together and slapped right onto the canvas of his face to create the masterpiece of his composure being lost. And then just as quickly as he let it fall, he slapped the mask back onto his face in the form of that carefree grin.
âI know, and Iâm sorry baby. Iâll drop you off and then weâll talk all about it.â
Jeonghan was good at keeping his promises. He kept the one you made at graduation to see you againâwhich was probably just dumb luck, but it counted. He kept the one he made to you after you left the gym and brought you to your favorite coffee place so you could a drink and a cake pop. He even kept the one he made to you in Junior year when you dropped Minghaoâs phone in the pool (you both blamed it on Mingyu). He had not kept his promise to talk to you about what he said in the interview with Jihyo. You were too occupied with his other promise (technically, it was a deal) youâd made with him before that.
âYouâre a natural on camera, baby,â He whispered into your ear, running his hands up and down your sides. Jeonghan had his hand down your underwear the whole drive back to your auntâs house, and when he finally pulled into the driveway, you were scrambling into his lap. Seeing you so worked up made Jeonghan feel good. He leaned back the drivers seat and let you grind against his erection, flooding the inside of your mind until you could think of nothing but him. âI can tell they just loved you.â
âYou really talk too much sometimes,â You mumbled. Jeonghan loved nothing more than when you talked back to him, it only made things more fun when he watched you fall apart on his cock in the moments that would follow. âYou and your filthy mouth.â
âShut me up then.â
Jeonghan licked his lips, and you watched him do so with bated breath. He was challenging you. Up until now, you had never kissed each other. You were afraid that if you did, some kind of invisible, imaginary line would be crossed and then itâd be that much harder to let him go. But what the hell, youâd already had him balls deep inside of you, what was a kiss compared to that?
His perfect, pink, lips were calling out to you like a siren does a sailor. There was no resistance when you finally kissed him, finally feeling the softness of his lips against your own. Jeonghan pulls you closer, the sudden friction between your bare core and his clothed cock making the two of you moan into the otherâs mouth.
âRide me,â He whispered with need. Need, you thought, Jeonghan needed this from you. This wouldâve been the ideal time to tease him back considering his current state. But fuck, you needed him too.
Jeonghan helped you unbutton his pants and slide them down along with his boxers just enough for you to sink down onto his aching cock. It felt different, but not in a bad way. He felt so much deeper, so much better, so much closer.
He let a chuckle slip past his lips. âYour heartâŠitâs beating fast.â His ability to be snarky and annoying never seemed to escape him.
âIs yours not?â You asked him while you rocked your hips back and forth lazily. The last thing you wanted to do was rush this moment, this might be the last time you got to have him like this, you wanted it to last. Jeonghan wrapped his hand around one of your wrists and placed it flat against his chest.
His heart was beating just as fast as yours.
There was probably a word out there somewhere to properly convey the emotions you were feeling, not that you could think of it right now with the way Jeonghan was scrambling not only your insidesâbut your mind, too.
Neither of you spoke again after that. You became caught up in the moment, in the way each other felt. Jeonghanâs eyes fluttered closed when the motions of your hips became faster, the obscene sound of his moaning overpowering your own gasps and whines of pleasure. He looked a fucked out mess; swollen lips, dark eyes, messy hair, the whole nine yards. If your eyes could take pictures, youâd want a million of him in this moment.
Jeonghan couldnât stop kissing you. Heâd been waiting for you to take the initiative, to let go of your hesitation. And now he was addicted to you and the way you kissed him and slipped your tongue into his mouth like you just couldnât get enough.
ââM gonna fucking cum, baby,â he breathed, thrusting up into you without warning. You wrapped your arms around his neck, panting, feeling yourself get close too. He kissed you, sloppily, his dick bruising the spongy spot inside you until you were seeing white. No less than a few seconds later Jeonghan was doing the same, your sloppy cunt milking him dry. You stayed like that for a while, his forehead pressed to yours, until the speed and sound of your breathing fell into the same rhythm.
âIâve gotta go,â is how he chose to break the silence, kissing you to silence your whine of protest. âI know, Iâm sorry. But hey, my family is having a party in a few weeks. Some business shit, probably for publicity. I donât know all the details, but they told me to bring you so they could finally meet you in person.â
You couldnât muster any other response aside from a sigh. âIâll be there.â
He kissed you one last time. âThatâs my girl.â
One promise kept, another one broken.
âYou know, that day you asked me to cover your shift, I didnât expect it was because you were running off with your boyfriend to go on some talk show,â Yeonjun mumbled, taking the somewhat heavy box labeled âbathroomâ out of your hands and walking it to that room. âIt must be nice, right?â His voice echoed through the empty space of your new apartment.
âWhy, you jealous?â You could hear him scoff all the way from the bathroom, making you and Chaewon laugh.
Itâs been two weeks since youâve heard from Jeonghan. His schedule has gotten increasingly busier ever since his reappearance on Jihyoâs show (which only made the news of your relationship more popular) , and you missed him for a multitude of reasons. One of them being that talk you never had about what heâd said that day. Every time youâd try to bring it up with him there was always a way he managed to weasel his way out of giving you an answer, so youâd given up trying at this point.
In better news, youâd finally managed to save up enough money to move out of your aunts house and into a decent little apartment downtown. It was kind of small, but it was just you, so you were fine with it. Today youâd finally started to move in most of your things. Joshua, Mingyu, and Soonyoung would come over tomorrow to help you set up your bed and shelves and other things that required the ability to decipher Ikea instructions. Minghao would come too, but not to help put anything together. He just wanted to scope out the place and advise you on the best way to decorate it.
So for now it was just you, your coworkers, and a couple of boxes containing the few things that you owned.
âWhat was it like seeing Jihyo in person?â Chaewon asked, taking a seat on the edge of the kitchen counter.
âShe was nice. And pretty. Sheâs also more tan in person.â You replied. âI really need to go to the store, Iâve barely got any real furniture.â You stared into your box labeled âkitchenâ and felt taunted by the plastic cutlery that rested inside.
There was a sudden knock at the door. You looked at Chaewon and she shrugged, just as clueless as you. You padded to the door, unlocking it and opening it just a crack. It was Jeonghan. Chaewon gasped, and you could hear her jump off of the counter and shuffle over to the doorway. He looked tired and a little annoyed standing there with his hands buried in his pockets. Today mustâve been one of his off days because he was dressed way more casually than he normally was.
âHey baby. Hi Chaewon.â His voice sounded slightly deeper than you were used to hearing it. Chaewon waved tentatively from her position behind you. âCan I come in?â You took a step to the side, enough to let him come in, and he looked around the mostly empty space with an unreadable expression. âYou never told me you moved out of your auntâs place.â
âRight, yeah, sorry,â You shrugged. âYou were just so busy, I didnât want to bother you. It just slipped my mind.â Jeonghan just shook his head and leaned against the counter.
âItâs fine, I wouldâve made time to stop by and help if Iâd known. Wouldâve been better than all the shit Iâve been doing.â
Chaewon stood awkwardly to the side, soon accompanied by a clueless Yeonjun who had just gotten over the initial shock of seeing Jeonghan inside your apartment. âUmâŠwe should get going right now actually. Weâll come back another day, okay [Y/n]?â She smiled at you and waved to Jeonghan with a bit more confidence this time and yanked Yeonjun out of the apartment behind her by his wrist, shutting the door behind her with a kick of her foot.
The air suddenly felt a lot thicker.
âDo you think you could do me a favor?â
You hummed questioningly, watching Jeonghanâs head drop down and his gaze lower. You followed his eyes all the way down to the bulge in his pants. He frowned when you started laughing.
âThis is funny to you?â You only laughed harder, one of your hands hovering over your mouth. âI donât find anything funny about this.â
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry,â you spoke through your laughs. âHow did this even happen?â
He leans his head back and sighs. âI was thinking about you.â Your laughter immediately stops.
Youâve just come to two realizations.
1. Jeonghan admits he gets hard at the mere thought of you.
2. He came running here during one of his few days off because he wants your help dealing with it.
You felt a mix of things right now. Hornyâobviouslyâbut also proud, and kind of special. Weirdly enough, you liked the idea of Jeonghan running to you to find some sort of release. Or maybe you just really missed him in the wrong way.
âCome here.â Jeonghan beckons you closer, cupping your face in his hands and rubbing his thumb along your bottom lip. âYouâre so prettyâŠâ
âYou too,â came your mumbled reply. You reached down to palm him through his sweatpants, eliciting a drawn-out groan from Jeonghan. His hips bucked into your hand, one of his hands wrapped firmly around your wrist similarly to the way heâd done in the car. You slowly sank to your knees, never once breaking eye contact with him.
The sight of you on your knees, looking up at him through your eyelashes and your bottom lip between your teeth, Jeonghan couldâve blown a fucking load right then and there.
âDid you miss me, Hannie?â
Jeonghan sucked in a sharp breath when you yanked down his pants and boxers at the same time, exposing his cock to the cool air of your apartment. âI always miss you, baby.â
You paused for a moment and wondered if he really meant that, but with his dick literally in your face you came to the conclusion that maybe it wasnât the best time to mull things over. You peppered his tip with kisses and ran your hands up and down the base. Youâd almost forgotten how much you love it when he moans for you.
âS-so goodâŠyouâre so good to me,â he rested his hands on the top of your head, breathing shakily when you finally closed your lips around him. Just when he thought he couldnât become any more addicted to you, you went and proved him wrong.
You choked and dug your fingers into his thighs at an unexpected show of force from Jeonghan, pushing his cock deeper down your throat with a thrust of his hips. A loud gag shot out of your mouth when it hit the back of your throat, tears starting to well up inside of your eyes. He wouldâve apologized if he didnât think you didnât like the sight of you like this. âYouâre fucking perfect,â he said it without thinking, too caught up in the moment.
A single tear trailed down your cheek. You moaned around him and he copied the sound, the vibrations making him shiver with pleasure. Your jaw was starting to hurt, just a little, but Jeonghan seemed too far gone go notice anything but his own need to cum down your throat. You whined as loudly as you could, and thatâs when he finally seemed to get the memo.
His grip became the slightest bit looser, letting you wrap your hands around whatever you couldnât fit in your mouth. You feel kind of gross when you notice that thereâs spit dripping down your chin, but Jeonghan thought it was one of the hottest things heâd ever seen. He literally couldnât take his eyes off of you, big brown eyes now dark with arousal.
âWill you be good and swallow for me, pretty girl?â He asked, though the question seemed entirely unnecessary given that you wouldâve done so anyway. Nevertheless, you hummed in agreement, which was all he needed before the warmth of his cum spilled into your mouth. His body went limp once you tore yourself away from him and he leaned back against the countertop.
âIâve never actually done that before, by the way,â you mentioned all too casually. Jeonghan stared at you, completely dumbfounded, like you hadnât just sucked the soul out of him. Your face felt hot when you noticed his face. âWhat?â
âItâs kind of hard for me to believe that after what you just did, but okay.â He shook his head. âOh, by the way, the party my parents are having is on a Thursday. Totally random, I know, but at lease you wonât have to call off and miss work. You can still make it, right?â
He really remembered that?
âYeahâŠI can still come.â Jeonghan smiled and kissed the tip of your nose. It made you giggle. Maybe he really was rubbing off on you after all.
âPerfect.â You expected that to be it and for him to leave you, but instead he picked up one of the boxes on the floor and began unpacking the contents inside. âDo you like it here?â
âHuh?â You pushed aside the shock you felt by him still being here to give a proper answer. âOh, yeah. Itâs nice. The people upstairs are kind of loud at night, though.â
Now he was giggling. You groaned and rolled your eyes. âNot that kind of loud, Jeonghan. Youâre so gross.â He was smiling at you, totally unbothered.
âYou love me.â
Oh, if only he knew.
Thursday has never come so fast. Time definitely had something against you, and this was the proof.
The venue for the partyâsome building as fancy as it was big located in the heart of the cityâwas hot with dim lights and hallways that were way too long. Dozens of people were lined up around the entrance with cameras and microphones. You couldnât tear your eyes away from them, even from the passengers seat of Jeonghanâs car, and he grumbled.
âThe fucking press is still out here?â
Itâs late in the evening. The sun is setting. Theyâve been camping out here for days. These people are nothing if not devoted.
âYou did say this was a publicity event,â you squeezed his hand. âWeâll just walk fast and smile.â
A smile broke onto his face. âIâve only done that, like, three times.â
âI remember it being more than that, actually.â
He pouted at you, making you giggle. He was so cute it was almost unbelievable.
âAre you nervous?â
âWell, maybe just a little.â It wasnât the party or the public that scared you, but the idea of meeting Jeonghanâs parents made your stomach churn. He eased your worries with a kiss, then another, and another.
âYouâll be fine. I promise.â
You wanted to believe him. You donât know if you really do. Thereâs no fooling your brain, but your heart is much more easily swayed by his words. He holds your hand tightly as he leads you past the hundreds of cameras and people crying out your name followed by some of the strangest questions youâve probably ever been askedâno, definitely ever been asked. You squint your eyes, allowing them to adjust to the low interior lighting, and you can see two people approaching. Jeonghanâs thumb rubs the back of your hand to soothe you.
âReady?â He mumbles. You smile and nod.
âNot like I have a choice.â
âJeonghan! [Y/n]! So happy you could make it.â His father greets you warmly, paired with a smile and a firm handshake. His mom is a bit less reserved with her affection, immediately pulling you into a hug.
âYou look lovely, dear. Absolutely stunning.â You smile at the compliment. âItâs so good to finally meet you in person.â
âI feel the same. Iâm still a little shaky.â You laughed and it seemed to ease the tension, given the way his parents laughed along with you. His father handed you a skinny glass of champagne which you eagerly accepted, sipping down the bubbly liquid. Jeonghan let go of your hand, now holding a glass of his own.
âI hope Jeonghan doesnât give you too much trouble. We know he can be a bit of a handful at times.â The woman said, getting another laugh out of his father and you.
âMom, please.â
âNo, itâs okay. Heâs really such a great guy. Our time together has beenâŠâ You sucked in a breath and glanced up at Jeonghan. He looked down at you, smirking. ââŠspecial.â
âJeonghan? Oh, it really is him! Jeonghannie!â
You and Jeonghan both turned your heads to search for the source of the voice, both of your eyes landing on a girl with dark hair and plump lips waving at Jeonghan.
âMomo,â he smiled at her. âGood to see you. I didnât know youâd be here.â
Momo smiled back. âWe wouldâve been here earlier, but Sana couldnât decide on what to wear and Mina wasnât being any help.â She huffed at the memory and shook her head. âBut weâre here now. Oh, Iâm sorry, I didnât even see you.â
You smiled tightly, trying to remain polite. âItâs fine.â It wasnât fine. It was the exact opposite of fucking fine. Not only was this Momo girl interrupting your moment with Jeonghan and his parents, but she was also acting as if you were invisible. And worst of all, Jeonghan seemed less bored with her sudden appearance and was paying more attention to her than you.
You paused. Were you getting jealous?
âHey, you donât mind if Jeonghan takes some pictures with me and my friends, right?â She put a hand on your arm and squeezed lightly, snapping you out of your daze.
âNo, itâs okay.â Momo smiled again, and you couldnât help but notice just how pretty she was. With your approval, Momo linked her arm with Jeonghanâs, leading him to the opposite end of the room where two other girls stood waiting, their faces lighting up at the sight of the male model she had managed to drag along with her.
âCome on [Y/n] dear, heâll be back. Oh, there are some people weâd like you to meet. Have you met Kang Seulgi? Sheâs a very talented designer.â Jeonghanâs mom rambled on, guiding you towards an expectant looking crowd of people.
Shockingly (well, it was shocking to you), your attention is the one thing that the majority of the other guests seem to be after. Many of them gather around you and Jeonghanâs parents, hanging off every word you say and looking at you like youâre one of the most precious things theyâve ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on. The topic of the evening is, of course, your relationship with Jeonghan.
"It's..." You search for him in the somewhat dark expanse of space, but you couldn't find him anywhere. He probably ran off somewhere with Joshua, no doubt.
Jeonghan had fucked you over. Heâd brought you here just to abandon you. He made you feel special just so youâd make him look good in front of his parents. You felt like some kind of broken toy, so easily thrown to the side once he no longer wanted to play with you.
"I don't know. It's a lot of things. I'm happy though, you know? He's good to me." You smiled, the lie stinging your throat and burning your tongue. There was only so much more of all this attention you could take.
âYouâre so lovely, [Y/n].â
âIsnât she just a dear?â
âSheâs the sweetest! Donât you just love her?â
And there it was; your breaking point. One of your hands flew over your mouth, keeping the pathetic sob from escaping. Concern flashed across the faces of the guests, and you apologized as best as you could as you pushed your way through the mass of bodies and out to the hallway. None of them followed you, probably still confused as to why you had even run away in the first place, but it didnât matter. None of this mattered.
Jeonghanâs friends loved you. The media loved you. His parents loved you. All these guests whose names you didnât even know loved you. Everyone loved you but Jeonghan, so in the end none of it even mattered. He had no problem discarding you when you were no longer of use to him, like you were nothing, because he didnât love you.
You finally cried. The regret, the guilt, it consumed you. You slid down to the floor, your face covered by your hands, crying on the floor like a child.
â[Y/n]?â
You could recognize Jeonghanâs voice in a heartbeat. He stared down at you, worry written all over his pretty face, but you gave him no response.
âWhy are you crying?â
He knelt down beside you, trying to get you to at least look at him. You wiped away the last of your tears and sighed.
âI think we need to end this, Jeonghan.â
âWhat?â He seemed genuinely shocked that you said that. â[Y/n], weâre more popular than ever. That wasnât the deal.â
You picked yourself up off of the floor, suddenly overcome with anger. "Is that seriously all you care about? How popular you are? What about me?â
His silence was painful.
âGod, of course. I donât even know why I bothered asking. You only care about yourself.â
âThatâs not true. I care about you, [Y/n]. You know that.â Jeonghan frowned.
Under different circumstances you mightâve believed him, let him sway you with his sweet words and sad little expression.
âDo you? It feels like you only care about me when you want your dick sucked or when you want someone to clap for you.â
The look on his face changed in an instant. Jeonghanâs patience was wearing thin, you could tell, but there was a part of him that was holding back.
âIf thatâs how you really feel, why didnât you say anything? Why even agree to do this in the first place?â
The words came flying out before you could stop them. âBecause I love you, Jeonghan! Iâve always loved you!â
A heavy silence enveloped the hallway. It was tenseâsuffocatingly so. You could hardly make out how his face changed once more in the low lighting that enveloped you.
â[Y/n]ââ
âIâm not done!â Youâre not sure when you started crying again, but you arely registered the wet droplets streaming down your cheeks. âI donât even know why Iâve tried so hard to get you to notice the fact that I love you when itâs obvious the only person you love is yourself. Youâre nothing but a selfish asshole. I hate you.â
Your vision was blurred with your tears, but you could just barely make out the dejection painted on his face. It didnât suit him. You hoped that he would say something, anything, but Jeonghan did nothing but stand there. You couldnât do anything but laugh pitifully.
âIâm going home. Have fun at your party.â
âWait, [Y/n], please donât go. Letâs talk about this.â He held onto your hand when you tried to walk away. You tried to get him to let go, but he wasnât ready to let go.
âWhat else is there to say, Jeonghan? Weâre over, now leave me alone. Why donât you go ask Momo to be your fake girlfriend, Iâm sure sheâd be more than happy to.â
You snatched your hand out of his grasp, fooling yourself with the last bit of hope you had that maybe he would chase after you. He made you a promise, after all.
Itâs a shame he couldnât keep it.
You didnât go into work on Friday. Or Saturday. Or Sunday. After you got home last night, you buried yourself beneath the covers of your bed, too exhausted to do anything other than lie there in the darkness until you fell asleep. When morning came, you couldnât even muster up the strength to move, so you called Sakura and said that you were sick and wouldnât be able to come in for the next few days.
Jeonghan had left you an unbelievable amount of texts and calls, none of which you bothered to respond to. Chaewon and Joshua also texted you to ask about the party and if youâd heard anything from Jeonghan; apparently no one had heard from him since the party. As if youâd know.
On Sunday, youâd managed to tear yourself away from your bedâfor longer than a trip to the kitchen or the bathroomâand out onto the couch. A rerun episode of Jihyoâs talk show was playing on the TV, the one that featured you and Jeonghan. You watched with a heavy heart as the two of you walked hand in hand, smiling, waving to the studio audience.
How could you ever fall in love with him? He was just another self serving rich boy who used you for his own personal gain. It didnât matter that he was charming or funny or cute orâ
Fuck, even when you were mad at him you found it impossible to ignore the beating of your own heart when you remembered just how nice it felt to be with him, even if it was all just for show.
Someone was knocking. You sighed, not wanting to get up, but the knocking only grew louder and more urgent.
âOkay, Iâm coming! DamnâŠâ You shouted, lifting yourself from the couch and over to the door, frowning at the person standing on the other side.
Jeonghanâs state of being didnât seem to be any better than yours. His eyes had bags under them, his hair was in desperate need of a brush, and he was still in his pajamas. Even so, he smiled weakly at the sight of you. âI was worried you wouldnât answer. Iâm happy to see youâre doing okay.â
You scoffed. âIâm not.â You missed the way his smile dropped at that. âWhat do you want?â
âI want to apologize to you.â
Shaking your head, you started to shut the door, almost closing it on Jeonghanâs arm in the process.
âWait, please! I really mean it, just give me a few minutes and then Iâll be gone, I swear.â
There was no way you were in your right mind, because you actually let him in. He smiled and followed you to the couch, sitting at a distance to keep you from getting uncomfortable.
âI thought about what you said at the party. The stuff you said about me wasnât wrong. I was being selfish. I did only care about my image. You had every right to be upset with me.â
âIâm still upset with you.â
âAnd thatâs perfectly fine, but just hear me out,â His voice was frantic. âThose two weeks I didnât talk to you were the worst two weeks of my life. I wasnât lying when I said I missed you. I really missed you, [Y/n]. And the more I thought about you, the more I realized that I was falling in love. Iâm so in love with you, [Y/n].â
You werenât buying it. âYou couldâve texted me. Or called. Or something.â
Jeonghan turned to face you, eyes flickering over your face. âI wanted to, and I shouldâve, butâŠâ
ââŠBut what?â
His cheeks were growing pinker by the second.
âBut what, Jeonghan?â
âBut I didnât want you to leave me. I didnât tell you how I felt because I thought it would overwhelm you. If you start to feel real feelings in a fake relationship, what are you supposed to do?â He sounded soâŠsad.
When the reality of his words finally sunk in, clarity followed. Jeonghan was in love with you. Jeonghan was scared that you would want things to be over. Jeonghan was worried about how you would react to him.
You breathed out a laugh.
âYouâre such a dummy, Jeonghan. Why would I ever leave you?â
His sadness evaporated, now replaced with relief and joy and love. He pulled you into a hug and sighed happily when you returned it.
âIâm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. My heart literally fucking broke when you cried because of me and my shitty attitude.â
âOh, but I love your shitty attitude. Just not when itâs making me cry.â
âGood. Pretty girls shouldnât cry.â He whispered against your lips before kissing you. You felt giddy at the way his lips moved against yours, smiling into the kiss. He gently pushed you so you were lying on your back, breaking away to look down at you.
âMy pretty girlâŠâ He said again, voice sweeter than sugar, fingers trailing up your legs. They felt cold against your burning hot skin, and it made you shiver. âGonna let me make you feel good like you deserve?â
âYes, Hannie, please.â
Jeonghan groaned, pausing the movement of his fingers to bask in the sound of you begging for him. You had no idea what you did to him and it made his dick that much harder. âGood girl. Iâll take care of you.â
âHurry up, your hands are cold,â You whined. His eyes flashed with mischief, pressing his fingers down into the flesh of your inner thigh, watching you shiver and moan.
âI donât know, I think that you like it, am I right?â
âIf you donât hurry up and touch me, Iâll do it myself.â To prove your point, you slipped your shorts off and tossed them somewhere onto the floor. Jeonghan touched you before you could even think about sliding off your underwear, cupping your leaking cunt with his hand.
âThe only one who gets to play with this pretty pussy is me, baby. Donât ever forget it.â You moaned at how fast his demeanor seemed to change, nodding furiously as you tried to grind into his hand to relieve the ache he was making you feel.
Pouting and panting, you looked up at him. âHannie, donât be meanâŠâ
He found it insane how he didnât realize how whipped he was for you earlier. Like really, he was totally wrapped around your finger. This mustâve been how you felt for all those years.
âWhatever you want, baby,â He lifted your legs a little higher, situating himself so he was lying flat on his stomach, face only a few inches away from your cunt. He pushed your underwear to the side, gasping at the sight of how wet you were. âShit, baby, youâre fucking dripping.â
âJust for you.â
He seemed pleased with that. âBetter be.â
Jeonghan buried his face in between your legs, groaning when the taste of you hits his mouth. Heâs making an even bigger mess of you, licking at you greedily and sloppily, drowning himself in the wetness between your thighs.
Youâre moaning louder than you think you ever have in your life. Shaky fingers slide into his soft dark hair, gripping tightly. He doesnât seem to mind though, already too caught up in you to register the little bit of pain. You grind into his face, staining the lower half of his face with your arousal.
âHannie, fuck,â You manage to say despite your fucked out state. Jeonghan hums, and the sensation makes your thighs close around his head. If you could speak, you would apologize, but Jeonghan seems to grow impossibly more aroused by the act.
He slips two of his fingers inside of you, itâs easy given how wet you are and keep getting, while he occupies his tongue on your clit. Your eyes roll into the back of your head, any and all coherent thoughts having escaped you in that moment. The only thing you could focus on was Jeonghan, his lips, and his fingers.
You could feel yourself getting close, a familiar feeling blooming in your stomach. Jeonghan could feel it too with the way you were tightening around his fingers and arching your back to stay as close to him as you can. He circles your clit with his tongue before starting to suck on it, your legs shaking with the force of your orgasm.
âYou taste so good,â Jeonghan says, licking his lips clean of every last drop of you. He presses one last long, lingering kiss to your pussy before gathering the strength to pull away and wipe his mouth clean.
âWe couldâve kept going.â The look you gave him was so innocent and sweet, a contrast to the way your legs were still spread open with your juices staining your inner thighs. You almost convinced him. Almost.
âDonât look at me like that,â He spoke slowly and softly, as if he was in no rush to give you more despite the painfully obvious tent in his pants.
âWell then hurry up and fuck me already.â
Jeonghan doesnât want to keep you waiting, but he canât help but tease you just a little bit more. He sheds his clothes with little urgency, and he smirks like the little cocky shit he is when he sees the way youâre looking at him, like you could just devour him here and now. Itâs like you were seeing him naked for the first time all over again, astonished by the sight of him. He was just so pretty all over.
He slides the tip of his cock up and down your slit, teasing your entrance until you were squirming. âHannie, please,â you whined, steadying your hands on his shoulders. Clearly he was just as desperate as you were, because he pushed into with a groan no more than a moment later.
âSo tight, baby, shit. Are you trying to make me cum already?â
His strokes are slow and deep, and you can feel every single inch of him inside of you as he drags himself all the way out before slamming back inside. Whenever you clench around him, he falters and lets himself moan something unintelligible about how good you feel or how pretty you are.
âF-Faster, Hannie, I wantââ Jeonghan cut you off with a sloppy kiss, swallowing each and every one of your noises.
He cooed at you and shook his head with fake disapproval. âWhen did you get so demanding?â Your words turned into whimpers when he increased both the pace and the force of his thrusts, rendering your ability to speak useless. âYou know Iâve got you baby, I know what you need.â
âStop talking like that.â Your nails dragged down his back, streaking his unblemished skin with thin red lines.
âWhat are you gonna do if I donât? You gonna cum and make a mess of yourself all over my cock, huh baby?â
You whimpered again, leaving Jeonghan to assume that he was correct and giving him yet another ego boost. With one hand, he pushed your shirt up to reveal your braless chest, kissing and sucking at the supple skin of your tits.
There was no way you werenât going to be getting a noise complaint. The sounds coming from Jeonghanâs hips snapping against yours paired with the steady stream of sounds coming from both you and Jeonghan were sure to have them making a fuss. Not that any of that mattered at the moment, well, not to either of you.
His hand snakes between your bodies, rubbing feverishly at your abused bundle of nerves, whispering so sweetly into your ear the words âcum for meâ which is all you needed before doing just that. Jeonghan watches your face as you cum, and he thinks that youâve never looked more beautiful than you do now, letting yourself fall apart underneath him like this.
âI love you so much,â He says in between his strained grunts of pleasure. âSo fucking much, baby.â Even after you had already cum, Jeonghanâs hips never once stopped moving against yours.
âI love you too, Hannie, fuck.â The overstimulation was starting to hit you, and you whimpered because of it.
âI know, baby. Iâm almost there.â
His tip is bruising your sweet spot with each of his thrusts, making you squeeze around him impossibly tighter, and the feeling makes him so dizzy, reminding him of the fact that he is truly and utterly yours. âWant me to cum inside you, pretty girl? Use your words and tell me.â
âYes, yes, please, Hannie! Need your cum inside of me!â Your mouth and body are reacting on their own, saying and doing what they want as you feel yourself cum a second time. He doesnât hold back anymore, the warm sensation of his cum being fucked deeper and deeper into you overtaking all of your senses, leaving you feeling fuzzy and lightheaded.
Jeonghanâs head rests on your chest, breathing in your scent and listening to the sound of your heart. Heâs too lazy and too tired to pull out, but you donât mind. âCan you be my girlfriend for real now?â Even as you work to catch your breath, he still manages to make you laugh.
âHm, I donât know, nobody was around to hear you say that, should we go find you an audience?â You tease, and Jeonghan whines loudly and shakes his head.
âIn that case, yes. Iâd love to be your girlfriend.â

âYou need to fuck Jisung.â Donghyuck sat on your desk the following Monday, nearly knocking your cup of pens over.
âWhat happened to hello? How are you?â
âI get why you didnât want to tell anybody when I was interviewing,â Jisung sighed as you adjusted his tie for him. âBut donât you think everyoneâs formed their own opinions about me by now?â
âYou told me Mr. Kang called you Joosung yesterday,â you pointed out. âWe agreed after your three-month evaluation, remember?â
âThatâs next month!â
âTwo weeks. December tenth, to be exact, will be three months since you started.â
âI know, I know.â He pulled you closer by your hips, burying his face in your neck. âThank you.â
You rested one hand on the nape of his neck, the other stroking his hair. âI hate it too. I was in the bathroom yesterday and overheard a couple of the women from budgeting talking about you. Apparently one of them wants to ask you to the holiday party.â
He lifted his head up, squinting with confusion. âWait, was it Song Minji from budgeting?â
âYesâŠâ
âYesterday she asked me if I was going, I said yes, then she asked if I had a date, and I said no, and she said she didnât either. Then she just stared at me. It was really awkward, so I told her I had to get back to my spreadsheets and walked away.â
You burst out laughing, covering your mouth as your boyfriend continued looking down at you with absolutely endearing confusion. Patting his cheek, you informed him gently, âShe was waiting for you to ask her to the party, baby.â
âWell, even if I knew that, I wouldnât have,â he huffed.
âI know, Sungie,â you kissed his cheek. âI know.â
âGood.â
You glanced at the time on your bedside clock, tapping his arm indicatively. âWeâve got to go.â
âY/N, someone from bookkeeping will be over to pick these receipts up today,â Mr. Suh, your boss, informed you, setting a large banker box down on the ledge behind your computer monitor.
You nodded. âYou sure you donât want me to just take them over there now?â
Bookkeeping was on the same floor as your team, just on the opposite side of the large office building.
âNo, Iâve got six more boxes in my office. They should be coming with a dolly. Iâve got a lunch meeting, then Iâm on-site at a build. Can you make sure they get them all?â
âOf course. See you tomorrow, then.â
âThank you. See you tomorrow.â He smiled and reached into your candy bowl, securing a chocolate for himself before heading off towards the elevator.
As you continued working up your reports, another figure approached your desk.
âHi.â Jisung smiled down at you from over the banker box.
âAnd what is a bookkeeping gremlin doing over here?â You teased, having already spotted the bright orange dolly next to him. âThey let you guys out of your cages?â
âJust me, because Iâm on a mission.â He did a little mock salute, making you giggle. He then looked between the dolly and the box. âBut I donât really think this was necessaryâŠâ
âThereâs six more boxes in Mr. Suhâs office,â you informed him happily, pointing to your bossâ door.
âOh.â
Two of your team members, Donghyuck and Jeno, congregated around your desk then as well, Jeno zeroing in on your candy bowl as always, and Donghyuck snooping at what you were doing on your screen.
âBoring!â Hyuck declared, hitting CTRL + S on your keyboard to save it for you before exiting out of the program. âLunchtime!â
âHey, I was working on that, you know,â you protested, keeping up your usual banter with your work friend.
âNow youâre not,â he shrugged.
âActually, you were chatting withâŠâ Jeno trailed off, looking at Jisung expectantly.
âJisung,â your boyfriend filled in.
ââYou were chatting with Jisung when we got here,â Jeno finished, popping another chocolate in his mouth and tucking it in his cheek to talk around it. âSo you werenât really working.â
âShe was telling me where the other boxes of receipts were,â Jisung explained quickly, gesturing to the dolly. âIâm supposed to pick them up. Iâm from bookkeeping.â
Hyuck scanned him from head to toe. âYouâre new, right?â
He nodded.
âCome to lunch with us.â
âNo, Hyuck,â you snorted, cutting up your food as your coworker attempted to show you a picture of another one of his friends over lunch. âThe last asshole you set me up with stood me up, remember?â
âI told you, Jaemin got a stomach bug!â Hyuck insisted. âAnd that was like, over a year ago!â
You looked at him pointedly. âAnd he could text you but not me? Think about it.â
âOkay, so he was a flake, but Mark is like, a really good guy!â He elbowed your other coworker next to him. âJeno, back me up!â
Jeno shrugged. âEh, he seems like the kind of guy to call you âbroâ in bed.â
âNot the kind of back-up I meant!â
âAm I wrong?â
âWhy are you thinking about what Mark would call you in bed, Jeno?â You snickered.
He stuck his tongue out at you, and you mimicked him.
Hyuck pushed on in his seemingly never-ending pursuit to set you up with his also never-ending pool of single friends. âIgnore him, Y/N. Will you at least consider? For me? Your bestest friend?â
âI never see you outside of work functions,â you pointed out.
âPlease? Pretty please? Pretty pretty please?â
âWhatever. Send me his CV,â you said noncommittally, taking a bite of your food.
âOn it!â
âWait, heâs applying for a job?â Jisung finally spoke from his seat beside you, his confusion apparent.
âNo, thatâs just what they call whatever information Hyuck sends her about the guys he tries to set her up with,â Jeno explained for him. âIt ends up being pretty much the same stuff thatâs on a rĂ©sumĂ©, though.â
Hyuck then focused in on a new target. âJisung, what about you?â
He froze. âWhat?â
âAre you single?â
âUhmââ
âLie if you have to,â you advised. âOnce he smells blood, youâre done for.â
âIâm not a shark!â Hyuck took great offense to this comparison. âIâm-Iâm like Cupid!â
You let out a derisive laugh at that, stabbing your fork into your food and lifting your next bite to your mouth.
âIâve got a girlfriend,â Jisung answered hurriedly.
Hyuck narrowed his eyes suspiciously. âSo youâre bringing her to the Christmas party.â
âI-I donât know, we uhmâwe just started seeing each other.â
âYouâll bring her to the next monthly mixer, then?â
âIâm pretty sure this is workplace harassment,â you stepped in on Jisungâs behalf, giving Hyuck a disapproving look. âWe had a seminar, remember?â
âYouâre not curious?â
âNo, I donât care to see you bother poor Jisung for the rest of our fleeting lunch break.â
âFine, I wonât disturb Y/Nâs precious lunch break,â he gave in melodramatically. âBut I want to hear about her when we get back to the office, Jisung.â
When you and Jisung got home that evening, you waited until the two of you had gotten out of your work clothes to address the pout on his lips that had been present ever since lunch.
âWhatâs wrong?â You asked, sitting at your dining table with him.
He started unpacking the to-go food. âWhy did you tell Donghyuck to send you that guyâs info?â
âTo get him to shut up about it. He wouldâve done that for our whole lunch break, Sungie.â You shook your head, watching as he avoided your eyes. âAre you jealous? Itâs not like Iâm actually going to do anything with it.â
âI know, but I still donât like that heâs sending you dating rĂ©sumĂ©s, and itâs apparently been a regular thing?â
âOkay, I know we made it sound like it happens all the time,â you agreed. âThis is like the third time, including the guy who stood me up last year. When you and I started dating, I told Hyuck not to bother anymore. But then he heard that I wasnât bringing a date to the holiday party, and he started his little matchmaking thing again. Thatâs why I never told you, because there never was anything to tell.â
âIâm sorry if it sounded like I was accusing you of something, baby,â Jisung murmured, reaching for your hand over the table.
âDo you want me to block him or something?â
He sighed. âNo, of course not.â
âDamn it, I was hoping youâd say yes. Iâve been looking for an excuse for years.â
He finally chuckled at that, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.
âHere.â You brought out your phone and stood behind him, maneuvering your arms around his shoulders so he could see your screen as you opened your texts with Hyuck and started deleting the most recent ones debriefing you on his newest eligible bachelor for you.
âWait a second.â Jisung stopped you before you could delete all the pictures that Hyuck had sent.
âWhat?â
To your surprise, your boyfriend actually opened one of the pictures of the guy.
âJeno was right,â he snorted, closing out of the picture.
âWhâOh,â you started laughing. âYeah, absolutely.â
You finished deleting everything about the guy, then shut your phone off. âAll gone. Canât even remember his name.â
Jisung pressed a kiss to your cheek. âThanks, baby.â
âAnd Iâll tell Hyuck no more in the future. Sound good?â
âNo, maybe itâs for the best. I donât think you need to be subjected to the interrogation I went through today.â He leaned his head against yours affectionately.
âAre you sure?â
âYeah. I trust you.â
âAw, thank you, Sungie.â You kissed his hair then hugged him properly. âI knew that. It was cute to see you get jealous, though.â
âYou need to fuck Jisung.â Donghyuck sat on your desk the following Monday, nearly knocking your cup of pens over.
âWhat happened to hello? How are you?â You blinked up at him incredulously, rescuing your writing utensils and pushing them to a far corner.
âNo time, we need to save our new favorite little bookkeeping gremlin.â He quickly saved your project and closed the window on your computer.
âAnd you think having sex with me is the cure for cancer or something?â You snorted. âThey really wasted their money on your slot in that workplace harassment seminar.â
âNo, look, heâs in an awful, awful situationship. I know he said sheâs his girlfriend at lunch the other day, but he doesnât have any pictures of her, he didnât want to show me her social media. He said she probably wouldnât be able to come to the mixer because of her âwork scheduleâââ Hyuck used finger quotes around the words âwork scheduleâ ââbut the way he said, it sounded like he was just preemptively making excuses because he knew she would turn him down. I asked him about their first date, and you want to know his answer?â
âWhat?â You asked dryly.
âThat they donât really do âthat stuff!ââ More air quotes.
âOkay?â
âThen I asked what stuff they do do, and he turned bright red!â
âSo heâs lying about having a girlfriend to get you off his back.â
âMm, she sounded pretty real.â
âOkay, maybe heâs twisting the truth and heâs got a fuckbuddy and he still doesnât want you playing matchmaker,â you suggested another alternative. âEither way, you should leave him alone.â
âNo, look, Iâve got this all figured out. He needs to be reminded that thereâs women other than this girlââ
You narrowed your eyes at him. âHow do you have a rotating roster of men to throw at me, but somehow the only woman that comes to mind for your braindead plan is the one in your immediate line of sight? This is confirming my suspicions that you get no bitches, Lee Donghyuck. Have you talked to a single woman other than me and your mother?â
âListen, it has to be you so nobody catches feelings!â
âSo youâre saying Iâm unlovable?â
His eyes widened comically as he went to backpedal. âNo, of course not! I meantâJeno, back me up!â
Jeno, who had been silently leaning against the ledge behind your computer monitor this whole time, happily snacking on the red and green Hersheyâs kisses in your candy bowl, slowly finished off the one in his mouth before speaking. âHereâs the thingââ
âYou condone this?â You scoffed.
He shrugged. âItâs like, his second-worst idea. Marginally better than setting you up with Na Jaemin.â
âWhy do I bother asking for your back-up?â Hyuck muttered.
âBut he doesnât think youâre unlovable. He just knows that youâre a professional, and Jisung is still a newbie and works in a different department. So obviously, thereâs like no risk of catching feelings if you guys do⊠Because work, you know?â
You sat back in your chair, glancing between the two of them dubiously. âDo you two think these are normal things to say to people? At work? To your coworker?â
They looked at each other with wide, horrified eyes, beginning to stutter apologetically.
âIâm in,â you declared abruptly, watching their jaws drop. You then focused your next sentence at Hyuck specifically. âIf youâll stop trying to set me up.â
âDone,â he agreed immediately.
Jisung had excitedly told you about the results of his three-month evaluation to you over dinner that evening, and as you two cleaned up after, you relayed your conversation with your coworkers to him.
âI finally got Hyuck to stop setting me up. Permanently,â you announced in a sing-songy voice, drying the last dish Jisung had just handed you before putting it up in the cabinet.
âReally? Did you find out he killed someone or something?â He asked, shaking the water off his hands over the sink before grabbing the towel hanging in front of it to start drying his hands.
âNope, he just asked me to do something.â
âOh, and who do you have to kill?â
âNobody.â You wrapped your arms around his waist from behind him. âYou see, heâs very concerned that this âgirlfriendâ of yours doesnât like you as much as you like her.â
âI know weâre literally coworkers, but he needs to get a job,â Jisung retorted.
âWhy did you say we didnât go dates when he asked about our first date?â
âI was afraid you mightâve mentioned it before and I didnât want him to connect the dots if I told the same story.â
âYou couldnât come up with a fake first date? Carnival? Arcade? Dinner?â
âI was panicking!â
âAnyway, he thinks youâre in a toxic situationship, and that the only solution is for me to sleep with you.â
âWait what?!â His muscles flexed and contracted under your hands with his words, and he seemed almost oblivious as you continued roaming them over his front.
âBecause we would never catch feelings for each other, obviously,â you informed him with mocking seriousness, making him scoff.
âI assume you told him to fuck off and stop setting you up anyway?â
âNope.â
âHuh?â
You finally put a hand under his shirt to touch his bare skin, and he shivered and jerked away instinctively.
âAh! Cold hands, baby,â he whined, but made no further moves to get away.
âThen let me warm them up, Sungie,â you giggled, pressing your fingers more intentionally against his skin. âAnyway, why would I pass up the perfect opportunity to fuck with Hyuck and fuck my hot boyfriend at the same time?â
âI donât think I like how similar that phrasing was.â
âSungie,â you dragged out the last vowel pleadingly.
âSo youâve got a scheme?â He asked knowingly.
âA fun one,â you promised, kissing his neck. âIn multiple senses of the word. But it means everyone finding out weâre together a few days later than we planned. Is that okay?â
He let out a deep sigh. âAlright. Whatâs first?â
âIâve got to hold up my end of the deal, of course.â
Donghyuck and Jeno were quick to swarm you first thing in the morning. They at least brought you a coffee this time. There was no work up on your computer yet for Hyuck to close out of, so he just made himself at home on top of your papers that were on your desk instead.
âOkay, we need to brainstorm,â Hyuck got right to business as Jeno dug into your candy bowl. Well, not the business you were actually sitting inside of, but his plot. âThe holiday party is on Friday. Iâm thinking if you start being a little flirty leading up to it, like casual, you know, not too much, that should warm him up.â
âThe more planning you put into this, the creepier it gets,â you informed him, taking a sip of your coffee.
The elevator dinged then, and Jisung stepped off, eyes focused on his feet as he hurried off towards the break room. The elevator opened towards your side of the floor, while bookkeeping was on the other side, and the breakroom, storage closet, and copy room were situated at the midpoints on the floor.
âJisungâs late?â Jeno commented, bewildered. âDidnât he say he always gets here ten minutes early to make his coffee before everyone else?â
Hyuck looked at this as well, eyes narrowing. He turned back to you and Jeno. âDid you guys see that big hickey on his neck? Now heâs running late and wearing the same tie as yesterday? This is why we need to help him. Anywayââ
You shifted in your seat then, readjusting your blazer so that it âaccidentallyâ pulled your blouse just enough to show off a love bite situated on your collarbone.
Hyuck actually froze in place, staring at you as he short-circuited. Jeno gave you a quiet, short round of applause.
âDamn, you work fast,â he commented.
You looked down at where Hyuck was staring, as if belatedly realizing your mistake, moving your neckline back up to cover it again.
âYou reallyâŠâ Donghyuck trailed off, blinking rapidly as he began rebooting.
You shrugged. âDidnât want to announce it like we were in a locker room.â
âHeâs walking over here,â Jeno coughed under his breath.
And sure enough, Jisung approached your desk. He looked uncertainly at Donghyuck sitting next to you, and ended up standing by Jeno behind the ledge, finally looking you in the eye.
âH-Hi, Y/N,â he stuttered nervously.
âMorning, Jisung,â you greeted him brightly. âKiss?â
âHuh?!â He squeaked.
âHershey kiss?â You pointed to the bowl that Jeno was grabbing another candy from. âTheyâre caramel filled.â
âO-Oh. Sure, thanks.â He took a green one. âS-See you later.â
âBye.â
With that, Jisung skittered away, back off towards bookkeeping. Hyuck and Jeno both turned to you with wide eyes.
âIâve made a grave miscalculation,â Hyuck whispered.
âThat boy is pussy whipped,â Jeno whistled lowly.
You rolled your eyes at them. âOr maybe you guys were looking at the two of us with flashing âI KNOW YOU HAD SEXâ signs over your heads.â
âOh, did I forget to leave that at home again?â Hyuck replied snidely, mockingly swatting just above his head. He then leaned in to whisper-yell at you, âDo you actually have the cure for cancer in there because what the hell was that?!â
âGood morning, Mr. Suh!â You chirped at your boss as he walked by.
Hyuck sat up straight, saluting to your boss. âGood morning, Mr. Suh!â
âMorninâ, Mr. Suh,â Jeno said through a mouthful of candy.
âMorning, morning, morning,â Mr. Suh greeted each of you in turn, then yawned. âUgh, is it Friday yet?â
âNot quite, unfortunately,â you chuckled.
At home that night, you were keeled over with laughter on your couch, clutching your stomach as you and Jisung recalled the looks on your coworkersâ faces this morning.
âWho knew you were such a good actor, Sungie?â You choked out through laughter, wiping at your tears.
âI just had to act like I was madly in love with you, that wasnât acting, baby,â he smiled fondly, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you closer. âIâve had to act every day at work except today.â
âSo smooth, Park Jisung,â you giggled, kissing him.
âItâs the truth.â
âI know. Youâve never been smooth, just honest. And I love that about you.â
âOuch, and also thanks?â
You snickered and kissed his pout. âReady for tomorrow?â
Stepping off the elevator in the morning, you didnât spare another glance to Jisung, who had ridden up with you. Typically, you would take separate elevators, one of you waiting for the next one, but today, you broke that rule. You dropped off your purse at your desk before going to the break room and making your usual cup of coffee.
Jeno and Donghyuck were already waiting for you at your desk. You rolled your eyes at them. âYou two have your own desks, you know?â
âYou and Jisung got here at the same time,â Jeno stated.
âIs there a question in there?â You raised an eyebrow at him, taking a sip of your coffee.
âDid you get a new shampoo?â Donghyuck asked, leaning forward to sniff the air around your head.
You swatted at him. âPersonal space?â
âThat doesnât smell like a womanâs shampooâŠâ He went back in for another sniff.
âQuit it, freak!â You rolled away from him.
âWhatâs happening?â A third voice had joined you all, right on time. Jisung was at your desk, cup of coffee in hand.
âNothing, Jisung.â You threw on a bright smile, scooting back up to your desk. âWhat can I do for you?â
âI-I just uhm, I wanted to say good morning. And I brought you some coffee.â He offered the cup out to you.
âAw, thanks,â you said sincerely, then looked down at your own cup on your desk regretfully. âBut I already got some.â
His face fell. âO-Oh. I guess Iâllââ
âHold on, Jisung!â Donghyuck stopped him from leaving, hopping off your desk. Jisung froze in place as your coworker grabbed his arm. First, he took the coffee from his hand and set it on the ledge behind your monitor, then he grabbed your boyfriendâs collar and yanked him down to take a deep whiff of his hair. Jisung yelped at the rough treatment, arms flailing until Hyuck let him go, giving him a loud slap on the shoulder. âThatâs all. Thanks for the coffee.â
âLunch later?â Jeno offered to him. âAll four of us.â
âS-Sure,â he looked at you and blushed before hurrying away.
You crossed your arms as you glared at Hyuck. âYou literally just assaulted him.â
âAnd youââ He pointed at you dramatically, ââslept with him again. Thatâs his shampoo that I was smelling on you.â
âI think my extracurriculars are none of your business.â
âMm, Jisungâs more of a co-curricular, donât you think?â
Jeno snickered.
âI think itâs still none of your business.â
âThis wasnât the plan, Y/N.â
âI did your stupid plan, Hyuck. Why are you so obsessed with Jisungâs sex life? Is it because youâre not getting any?â You taunted.
âNice attempt to deflect, but the plan was to get him to stop being strung along by that other girl. Not for you to start stringing him along.â
âYou make me sound like an evil witch.â
âSo youâre serious about Jisung then?â Hyuck gasped mockingly. âAdorable. Gonna be each otherâs date to the holiday party? When are you meeting the parents? Have you picked a ring yet?â
You bit down on your lip and looked at your lap to avoid laughing, which he thankfully seemed to interpret as guilt on your part.
âExactly as I thought,â he said smugly.
âThe puppy love thing is cute now, but itâs probably best for working together in the long run to just let him down easy sooner,â Jeno gave some surprisingly wise advice through a half-eaten Hersheyâs kiss.
Having composed yourself, you finally let out a contemplative, resigned sigh. âYeah, you guys are probably right.â
âAlways are,â Hyuck tsked.
Lunch was honestly kind of funâIt felt like being a kid with a crush again, sneaking glances at Jisung, trying not to be too obvious about your flirting, and playing innocent when your coworkers would shoot you pointed looks every time Jisung did something totally head-over-heels for you.
Mid-afternoon, and Jisung was back at your desk. He had a few papers in his hand, some flimsy excuse of questions about the receipts heâd picked up last week, but really, you two were just talking. Discussing what to make for dinner, additions to the grocery list, what you were working on, little things.
The sound of a door opening caught your attention, and you looked over to see Mr. Suh coming out of his office. Heâd just been on a phone conference, and had his empty coffee mug in his hand.
âHi, Mr. Suh.â You sat up a little straighter. âAfternoon decaf?â
âYep.â He lifted the mug in greeting as he walked by, heading for the breakroom.
âIâm going back to my cage with the other bookkeeping gremlins,â Jisung murmured. âDonât want him to catch me still here when he gets back.â
âLaser beams arenât going to come out of his eyes and incinerate you on the spot if he does, you know,â you giggled.
âHow do you know?â He tapped your desk rhythmically, then mouthed, âSee you later.â
You mouthed it back, contentedly watching him walk away. You were back to working on your reports when Mr. Suh returned from the break room. He drifted over to your desk, however, standing against the ledge conspiratorially.
âWas that the new kid in bookkeeping?â He asked lightly, taking a sip of his coffee.
âYeah, Park Jisung,â you informed him. At your bossâ inquisitive lean forward, you gave a little more context, âHe picked up those receipts last week and Hyuck ended up inviting him out for lunch with us.â
âHe seems to be over here quite a bit recently.â
âWe chitchat sometimes.â You paused, then widened your eyes. âIs that a problem? Nothingâs been late or anything, has it?â
He gave you his usual easy-going smile. âItâs fine, Y/N. Your work has been great as usual.â
âOkay, good.â
âHi, baby,â Jisung greeted you brightly that evening from your usual meet-up place after work. If neither of you had to stay late, or had an errand to run after work, you would meet up outside a cornerstore a couple blocks away from the office.
âHi, co-curricular,â you beamed back, leaning into the kiss he was pressing to your cheek.
He pulled away with an adorably confused pout on his face. You laughed, taking his arm in yours as you started down the sidewalks together, relaying your conversation with Hyuck and Jeno this morning.
âI donât know whatâs funnier, the idea of me genuinely âstringing you alongâ or your new nickname,â you giggled, squeezing his arm.
âYou already changed my phone contact, didnât you?â
âI put a heart next to it!â
âThe rumor has spread to bookkeeping, by the way.â
You blinked at him in mock surprise. âYou guys have office gossip over there?â
âYeah, we finally invented the wheel and have time to gossip now,â he snorted, rolling his eyes. âHuang Renjun told me he heard Song Minji and Park Chaeyeon talking about it in the copy room.â
âThatâs how it breached containment,â you tutted. Chaeyeon was from your department, but you knew she and Minji were office friends. She must have overheard it from your areaâHyuck wasnât exactly the quietest man you knew, and there was no way your other coworkers hadnât noticed Jisungâs frequent trips to your desk if Mr. Suh had.
âUh-huh.â
âWhat exactly were they saying? Did Renjun tell you?â
âSome stuff he didnât want to repeat about youââ He cleared his throat. âBut mostly, he wanted to ask me what, if anything was true. I felt bad lying, I like Renjun.â
âYeah, he was my favorite bookkeeping gremlin before you started.â
Jisung elbowed you, obviously offended. âI still did bookkeeping before I worked here! I just did it somewhere else!â
âHe was my favorite at this company before you started. Better?â
âMuch.â He smiled as you leaned in to kiss his nose. âI told him the rumors werenât true.â
âThat wasnât a lie!â You reminded him emphatically. âWeâre not just coworkers with benefits, or co-curriculars, or recently started secretly dating, or whatever!â
âIâm just glad we only have two more days of this.â He laced his fingers with yours. âI want to be able to have a picture of us on my desk, and talk about you to everyone, and show up and leave together.â
âMe too,â you agreed, fond smile on your lips as you approached your front door. âItâs been fun, but the best part will be when everyone knows youâre mine. For real.â
This was weird. You had been at work for thirty minutes and hadnât seen nor heard Hyuck or Jeno. Maybe today would be normal for once. As soon as that idea had crossed your mind, they came beelining for your desk, and you knew that would be impossible.
âGoodââ You couldnât even get a friendly greeting out of your mouth, Donghyuck fully sitting on top of your keyboard, entering a bunch of random characters into the email you had been writing. âUhm, you know, that email to Mr. Suh wasnât important, actuallyâŠâ
Yanking your keyboard out from under Hyuck, you deleted the gibberish and saved the draft email before setting it aside to deal with whatever was going on. You looked at your coworkers expectantly.
âY/NâŠâ Jeno surprisingly took the lead. âHow did you go about letting Jisung down easy?â
You blinked in surprise. âWhat are you talking about? I just told him we should keep it professional and not see each other anymoreâŠ? And that was it.â
âAnd how did he take it?â
âFine?â You glanced between their extremely serious demeanors with increasing worry. âWhy? Whatâs going on?â
âWe just had to comfort a crying Jisung in the menâs room for the past thirty minutes, thatâs whatâs going on!â Hyuck finally hissed. âI donât think your easy is very easy!â
You leaned away from him in utter shock. That was definitely not part of the plan today, and now you were genuinely worried about why your boyfriend was apparently crying in the menâs roomâhe definitely wasnât a good enough actor to do that on the spot.
âWoah, I didnâtââ
âWell, you did.â
âYou donât get to pin all the blame on me here,â you shot back immediately. âWhose stupid fucking plan was it for me to sleep with him in the first place anyway? If I recall, you never found him crying in the bathroom with his last girl that you were so concerned over.â
âYou diverted from the plan and he got attached!â
âOkay, itâs everyoneâs fault!â Jeno cut in decisively.
âWhatâs everyoneâs fault?â Mr. Suh stopped by your desk, briefcase in hand as he had just gotten into the office. âThereâs been an awful lot of whispering going on over here. Something I should know about?â
âNo, Mr. Suh!â Hyuck chirped brightly. âLunch plans fell through, weâre just rescheduling.â
Your boss looked at you skeptically, waiting for confirmation. You nodded hurriedly. âYeah, lunch plans.â
âAlright.â He shrugged. âThereâs a good sandwich place a block over. If youâre looking for recommendations.â
And with that, he went into his office.
Turning back to Hyuck and Jeno, you whispered, âI swear to God, I wasnât expecting him to be crying. Okay?â
âWeâre being a little harsh on you,â Jeno admitted quietly. âWe should all just leave Jisung alone, I think.â
He took a candy out of your bowl and departed your desk without another word. Hyuck followed, still shaking his head. You quickly brought your phone out, immediately texting Jisung.
[you: BABY SOS]
He texted back immediately
[co-curricular đ©·: IM HERE]
[co-curricular đ©·: WHATâS WRONG????]
[you: im fine but are YOU okay?!]
[you: jeno and hyuck told me they found you crying in the bathroom]
[co-curricular đ©·: oh nonono im okay baby i promise]
[co-curricular đ©·: im in the copy room, can you come so i can explain?]
[you: omw]
You hurried from your desk to the copy room, relieved to find it devoid of any coworkers except Jisung, who was attending to a copy machine, placing documents on the glass, closing the lid, and copying them in a steady rhythm.
âSungie,â you breathed out in relief, darting over to him, needing to see his face for yourself.
âHey, baby, hey,â he said soothingly, letting you wrap an arm around his waist and lean into him affectionately. âIâm okay, Iâm okay.â
You stepped back, cognizant of the fact that any of your coworkers could enter at any moment. âSo what were Hyuck and Jeno talking about then?â
âWhen we got in this morning, the temperature change from the cold air outside to the heat inside the building was making my eyes water and my nose run,â he explained, gesturing to his face. âI went to take care of it in the bathroom. Donghyuck and Jeno ran into me while I was cleaning myself up and assumed I had been crying. Nothing I said could convince them otherwise, and they of course also assumed it was connected to their advice to you to let me down easy. So I played along. I know it wasnât part of the plan, but I couldnât get them to let it go.â
âI was almost feeling bad about lying to them, but they do this to themselves.â You crossed your arms, leaning against the wall next to his copy machine. Your tone softened as you added, âIâm really happy youâre okay, Sungie.â
âIâm happy you checked on me so quick, baby.â He smiled, taking a step closer to peck your forehead. He lowered his voice to say, âI love you.â
âI love you too,â you murmured, looking up at him, fighting the urge to just grab his suit jacket and kiss him. âLunch later?â
His nose wrinkled with distaste. âAre Hyuck and Jeno coming too?â
âJust us? At home?â
âOh?â
âI miss you.â
He nodded. âI miss you too.â
It was finally Friday, finally the day of the office holiday party. You just had to survive work and lay the last couple breadcrumbs, then it would all be over tonight.
You were making your morning cup of coffee in the breakroom with Hyuck and Jeno, and went to engage them in conversation. âAre you guys bringing anyone to the party tonight?â
âNah.â Hyuck poured his own cup.
âYouâre not beating the âno bitchesâ allegations.â You clicked your tongue.
âI think itâs a bit weird to bring someone youâre not like⊠properly dating to a work event and introduce them to your coworkers,â Jeno answered, rooting through the employee fridge.
âSo thatâs a no?â
âCorrect,â he mimicked your taunting tone of voice.
Jisung, who had been quietly measuring out sugar into his own cup of coffee at a far counter, apart from your conversation physically but definitely within earshot, inserted himself then, âIâm bringing a date.â
Jeno hit his head on a shelf in the fridge. âShitâ! Huh?â
âYou are?!â Hyuck blinked at him, utterly shocked.
You slowly turned around to face Jisung, cocking your head. âOh, me too.â
âSince when?!â Hyuck snorted.
âJust because I didnât tell you about it doesnât mean I havenât had one,â you hissed.
He rolled his eyes. âWhatever.â
Jisung nodded, and you saw the corner of his lips twitch, ever-so-slightly, too small for anybody who didnât know him as well as you to catch. âGuess Iâll see you and your date tonight, then.â
âSame. You, as well.â You nodded curtly, watching him pivot on his heel and stride out of the breakroom.
âYou donât have a fucking date,â Hyuck stated dryly as soon as he was no longer in eyesight.
âThat was hard to watch,â Jeno said, opening a Tupperware of food that definitely had somebody elseâs name on it.
âAnd neither does he,â Hyuck continued, pointing to the doorway that Jisung had disappeared through. âNo way heâs found somebody in a day. UnlessâŠâ He looked at Jeno with alarm. âOh no. You donât thinkâŠ?â
Jeno squinted. âWhat?â
âWhat if he brings his toxic situationship to get back at Y/N?â Hyuck gasped. He then turned to you, âLook, I guess I can see if Markâs free tonightââ
âNo,â you cut him off firmly. âIâve already got someone in mind.â
âSo beautiful, baby,â Jisung murmured, taking one of your hands and kissing your knuckles.
âHey, Iâm trying to fix your tie clip,â you laughed, pulling your hand back from him to continue adjusting his tie clip that had gone askew thanks to his seatbelt.
The two of you were standing outside the venue of the office holiday party. You were fashionably late, as part of the plan. You had to make sure Hyuck and Jeno were already there, so they could see you arrive together, wearing your coordinated outfits. Jisungâs tie was of course a complimentary shade of the color of your dressânot too matchy-matchy like kids at a grade school formal, but clearly together, not accidental.
âThere.â You smoothed out the lapels of his suit jacket, smiling up at him. âSo handsome.â
He kissed your cheek. âThank you.â
âAre you ready?â
âMore than.â He grinned, lacing his fingers with yours.
Walking in, instrumental Christmas music was playing over the speakers and a steady hum of conversation filled the room. There were a few familiar faces near the front, but nobody you were overly friendly with. You grabbed Jisungâs shoulder for support as you went to talk to him over the din of the crowd. He hunched over slightly to listen to you better, holding you steady with a hand on your hip.
âWant to get a drink first?â You suggested.
âSure,â he agreed, keeping his hand on your lower back as you moved through the sea of people.
There was a special cocktail for the night, âMistletoe While You Work,â which you ordered out of curiosity. Once it was in your hand, you took a sip, and you were pleasantly surprised. Not too sweet, and you couldnât taste the liquor at all.
âHey, baby,â you smirked, holding your glass up between yours and Jisungâs faces. âUh-oh, weâre under mistletoe⊠kinda.â
Jisung laughed, and you put the glass down to watch his face crinkle up and his nose scrunch in all its adorable glory. âMm, hard to argue with that.â
You were still smiling as you pressed your lips to his in a short but sweet kiss. He kept you close when you broke apart, an arm still wound around your waist.
âUhm, Merry fucking Christmas to you guys, too,â Hyuck announced himself, standing off to the side, his own drink in hand and Jeno of course with him.
âOh, hey guys,â you greeted them nonchalantly. âMerry Christmas.â
âWhat happened to your dates?â Jeno cut right to the chase.
You and Jisung pointed to each other, making nearly identical faces as if you were oblivious to why Jeno and Hyuck were confused.
Hyuck started buffering as he tried to process the situation. âWhatâŠ?â
âWeâve been together this whole time,â you finally put them out of their misery, watching as their jaws dropped simultaneously.
âSince before I interviewed, actually,â your boyfriend added.
âOver a year, to be exact.â
âYou guys are sick in the head,â Hyuck jabbed an accusatory finger at you both.
âWho was making a whole convoluted plan for me to sleep with one of our coworkers that you barely knew?â You immediately fired back. âYouâre lucky we did this instead of reporting you to HR.â
Jeno quickly threw on a wide smile, clapping Jisung on the shoulder. âYou fit in great here, Jisung.â
âGlad to have you on the team.â Hyuck went to hug Jisung, making him stiffen up at the unexpected affection. Your coworker then gestured to both of you, putting a hand over his chest. âYou two are so adorable together. What a great couple. Iâve said that from the beginning, right, Jeno?â
âYou thought they wouldâve had awful chemistry.â
âWould it kill you to back me up for once?â Hyuck turned his ire on your other coworker.
Mr. Suh walked up to the bar then, putting his order in with the bartender before greeting you all. âAh, hello, everyone. Merry Christmas.â
A chorus of hellos and Merry Christmases rang out in response.
âWas Mr. Suh in on it?â Jeno asked you.
âWhatever âitâ was, no, but now I wish I was,â Mr. Suh answered, clearly intrigued by this conversation.
âY/N and Jisung are dating!â Hyuck immediately tattled, and you rolled your eyes at his childish tone.
âThereâs nothing against the rules,â your boss said calmly. Then, he added with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, âEspecially if the relationship predates one of you working here.â
You and Jisung exchanged a surprised look, making Mr. Suh laugh.
âOkay, I had a hunch, but that was the confirmation I needed,â he chuckled. âWhen Iâd see Jisung at Y/Nâs desk alone, I donât knowâyou two seemed way more comfortable around each other than two people who had only talked for the first time a week ago. No matter how much you liked each other.â
âWhy didnât you say anything?â Hyuck gawped.
âIt didnât seem like any of my business.â

Just read screenshots of the Aaron extra chapter and I have so many thoughts, so here they are:
It's always so funny to me to be reminded of the fact that the animosity between Aaron and Neil is mostly one-sided. Like, Neil finds Aaron frustrating, but all the antagonistic stuff he does to him is ultimately in service of helping him in some way and while he's angry when Aaron provokes him, he otherwise regards him with disinterest and even expresses the desire to see what he's like when he's relaxed and enjoying himself during the party with the Vixens. Meanwhile Aaron just really hates that man.
I really appreciated Nora using this chapter to clear up some of the gripes a lot of the fandom has had with Aaron's character in the past and confirm that Aaron's comments to Nicky have to do with his cousin making graphic and unwanted sexual advances on their teammates, and his accusations towards Neil were from a place of concern for his brother. I also liked that it was pointed out that of course he would have at least some internalized homophobia due to being raised by religious zealots in a conservative area, but is unlearning it due to Nicky.
On a similar note, I'm glad that we were provided the context that Nicky's inappropriate behavior is a defense mechanism to weed out people who might hurt him rather than legitimate advances, because I think the fandom tends to forget that he is also a character with extreme trauma written outside of the "perfect victim" stereotype. His actions aren't okay, but the entire point is that they are the result of what he's had to endure just like every other member of the team
The implication that Andrew specifically signed with the Foxes so Aaron could go to college
Aaron and Andrew have the same nervous habit of picking at loose thread
It causes me physical pain to see Andrew clearly trying to open up to Aaron about his self-harm, but because his way of communicating is less straightforward (he doesn't lie, but he because he stuggles to confront and be open with his emotions, he presents the truth in flowery, vague language) and because the two dont really know or understand each other, Aaron can't fully grasp the implications of what he's saying
On the subject of things that cause me physical pain: baby Aaron telling his mom that he wanted to be a neurosurgeon like the people on TV and her laughing and saying he'd never make anything of himself. Fuck Tilda Minyard, all my homies hate Tilda.
Andrew is so uncomfortable, someone Get Him Out of There.
Going off that and his nervous habits (that Aaron mentions he did often enough to be noticable as a habit premedication), I am highkey wondering if the reason Sober Andrew doesn't talk to anyone outside Neil is because he's just. Socially Awkward.
We get a little bit of insight into Andrew's "misogyny" (I personally think distrusting certain people as a result of extreme personal trauma is a little bit different than just being sexist, in the same way women distrusting men because they're used to being harassed and belittled isn't misandry, but that's up to your personal opinion) and that his distain for Katelyn comes from the fact that he thinks she's stringing Aaron along and will turn out to be awful like his previous girlfriends (there's also a notable implication that Aaron has the same self-destructive tendencies as Andrew, and may be why he went out of his way to get him into college and on the straight-and-narrow) also see that this extends to Bee as well despite their close relationship, with him being so afraid that she'd reject him for being gay that he can't even look at her while talking about Neil, probably made worse by the fact that she's a maternal figure for him, which is where this trauma response originates.
Aaron is the only person on the team who's aware that Andrew hasn't slept with Neil, and the only one to grasp the significance of the fact that they've gotten close to that point already despite Andrew's trauma, outside of Renee
It was overall really interesting to see inside Aaron's head (I actually wouldn't mind a book from his perspective, he has a similar way of thinking to Neil but much more grounded) and to see Andrew through the lense of someone who just views him as Just A Guy

munchausen syndrome by proxy.
romantic yan!batfam <3
as requested by anon:
the symptoms start showing slowly in the form of fatigue, common headaches, and dizziness. as time passed, it got worse and worse, which left you bedridden.
it was tough to get used to, but you held onto the hope that it'll be gone in a couple weeks, just as bruce said.
during this time, they coddled you to no end.
dick often visited you with a hot meal in his hands, which he'd insisted on feeding to you even though you've proven you could do it yourself.
no use straining yourself with extra work, he said.
you could accept that he was a caretaker at heart, but it felt a bit much when he would run his fingers through your hair, whispering words of consolation.
tim was usually the one giving you your doses, as well as bruce. there was no reason to suspect him, after all, with his skittish grin and slightly awkward demeanor. sometimes, he would bring a handheld console with him to ease your boredom. you favored him slightly more than the others because of that.
jason visited you the least and when he would, he had an unreadable expression written all over his face. he wasn't bad company; conversations with him were always fluid and enjoyable, which was why you wondered why he seldom visited you when you were stuck in that room. you didn't hold it against himâ you couldn't, for some reason.
damian liked visiting you, though if you didn't know him as well as you did, you couldn't exactly tell. you've learned to look at the most miniscule of his habits to read him. the most obvious one would be how his shoulders would slightly relax around you.
bruce was by your side most often, believe it or not. whether it be giving you your medicine, or just to spend the night sleeping on the chair whilst he holds you hand. he constantly reassured you that you'd be better in no time; not that you had any other choice but to believe him.
when the couple weeks are up, you've felt an improvement. that is until you suddenly feel like fainting after a shower.
you didn'tâ but the boys would rather not take a risk, so why not just stay here a bit longer? that way, they can monitor your vitals, and give you just what you need!
you're free to roam around the mansion, just don't push yourself too hard lest you want to find yourself back in that room.
and if you suddenly feel suffocated, so hopeless in that place, fearing that you may never get better? fret not, someone's always there to wipe your tears, hold you tenderly in his arms, and kiss away your sorrows.
do i think that jason would feel very guilty basically having a hand in taking away your autonomy? yes . will i elaborate on this? let me get back to you on that .......

Aventurine was mildly surprised when he received word that he would be handling the Penacony mission. Why him, of all the Ten Stonehearts? Surely someone more capable such as Opal would be trusted with a mission of this caliber.Â
He only realized why when he pried further into the details.Â
Penacony was a death trap. With so many powerful and important people gathered in one place, one wrong move on his part would spell his end.
He chuckles sardonically. Figures. Theyâre sending their most suicidal employee out for a suicide mission.
As if to rub the situation into his face, he finds out theyâre pairing him with Dr. Ratio. What purpose is he supposed to serve, suicide prevention? Too little, too late, in his opinion.Â
The doctor doesnât look too thrilled about the fact either. It makes Aventurine feel somewhat better about this whole situation.Â
âYouâd best get your affairs settled before we leave, gambler. The odds that you make it back alive from this mission arenât as high as youâd hope theyâd be.â
âOoh, well I do like the sound of that.â
A glare sent his way makes Aventurine roll his eyes, but he shuts up anyway. Plans are made and discussed for what role each of them will be playing before itâs time to leave.Â
âWell then, I look forward to working with you in Penacony, Doctor.â
âJust donât act like a complete idiot and weâll be fine.â
The two men head their separate ways. Ratioâs advice to settle his affairs lingers in his mind, though. That means thereâs a will he has to sign, assets he has to distribute, funeral arrangements to be made, and more. Of course, most, if not all of it, will be going toward you. Youâd be set for the rest of your life, never having to work a day again if you so chose.Â
He heaves a sigh. Ah, itâs all so tedious. It was all so much easier before you came along. He had no will to worry about. Heâd toss caution to the wind every mission and wind up sorely disappointed when he returned, still alive. If he did end up dying, his assets would end up being pawned off and most likely make their way back to the IPC somehow. So what even was the point then?
With all that being said, he didnât mind putting in all that extra work for your peace of mind and so youâd continue to benefit, even after his death.Â
Still, the stakes this time around are higher, and he has you to consider now before placing his bets. One wrong move and youâd be left without someone to welcome home. And then thereâs the consideration of whether heâd be willing to die when the moment came. Sure, heâd attempted several times before but theyâd all failed. Would he be able to take the plunge this time, should the opportunity present itself?Â
âHey, Doc?â
Ratio is about to leave, but the uncharacteristic hint of hesitation in his voice makes him stop and look over his shoulder.
â... How can you tell if youâve lived a life worth living?â
Ratio stares at the blonde in silence in disbelief over what heâs hearing. Aventurine chuckles, trying to dispel the awkwardness thatâs settled in the air.
âNo answer? Never mind-â
âThat answer will vary from person to person. However, if you were to ask me personallyâŠâ
The doctorâs ruby eyes flit over Aventurineâs frame, narrowing in contemplation- and perhaps a hint of resignation.Â
âAsk yourself this question: can you die today without any regrets?â
âCan I die today without any regrets?â Doctor, what were you thinking when you posed that rhetorical question on me? Obviously the answer would be no!
Expensive leather shoes click against stone as Aventurine hurriedly makes his way through the Dreamscape. The weight of having mere hours left to live looms above his head like an anvil, leaving him scrambling to figure out how to cheat death- not for the hope of living to see another day, but so he can carry out his mission.Â
When confronted with death, even a suicidal man will cling to the urge to live for one reason or another.Â
Heâs hardly paying attention to where heâs going, muttering out half-hearted apologies to those he bumps into as he stumbles through the Dreamscape before he ends up in a secluded area. The kaleidoscopic iridescence in the corners of his vision makes him stumble and he audibly groans when a searing pain flashes through his temples, the Harmonyâs brand on his mind assailing him again.Â
Dammit⊠am I really at the end of the line now? And before I could do anything meaningful eitherâŠ
He hears the sound of a⊠child humming some distance away? Thatâs strange, thereâs no one else here.Â
âMister, are you lost too?â
That voice.Â
He turns around slowly, as if that would change anything. Aventurineâs eyes dart across the boy standing before him, with rags for clothes and scraped knees. The child in front of him is everything he is not- or rather, what he was, but is no longer. Optimistic, with bright shining eyes. Hope still exists for him.Â
Those eyes. Oh, itâs himself.Â
Aventurine thinks heâs about to be sick.Â
âWoah, you have such pretty eyes! Can I call you Mr. Pretty Eyes?â
Aventurine stiffly nods.Â
âSure. Call me whatever you want, kid. Whatâs your name?â
âItâs Kakavasha. Nice to meet you!â
And thatâs the final nail in the coffin confirming his suspicions.Â
Kakavasha looks around nervously.
âI was searching for my family, but I got lost. This place is so much bigger than home⊠Mister, do you think you could help me find them?â
Aventurine shakily extends a trembling hand out.
âOf course. Lead the way. How about you hold onto my hand so you donât get lost anymore?
Kakavasha latches onto it and begins wandering around, calling out for his parents and big sister. Every unanswered call feels like a punch to the gut but he has a faint flickering of hope that heâll be able to see them.
âYou really love your family, kid,â remarks Aventurine in an attempt to keep some conversation going.Â
âOf course! I do!â
Kakavasha pauses in his steps and thinks for a bit, eyes wandering skyward and free hand resting on his chin.
â⊠Do you have anyone you love, Mr. Pretty Eyes?â
âYes, I do. Their name is (Name).â
The boyâs eyes light up, sparkling in curiosity.
âWoah, really? Whatâre they like?â
A light chuckle escapes Aventurineâs lips as he crouches down to Kakavashaâs eye level and ruffles his hair.Â
âTheyâre the best thing to have ever happened to me.â
âWow, they must be a really amazing person for you to say thatâŠâ
âThey are. They're incredible.â
I donât deserve them.
He chuckles and stands back up again, hand reaching for Kakavashaâs. The little boy continues to lead the way, until he suddenly stops and turns.Â
âWould you like to meet my family? Theyâve been gone for so long I think they went back home. You can introduce (Name) to them as well!â
Panic wells up inside him. Seeing his family? In this state? After all heâs done? No, he canât. He canât, he canât, he canât. Not under these circumstances!
âKid, I donât think-â
âItâs ok if (Name) shows up late. Theyâre nice people and theyâll understand.â
âNo, I-â
âCome on, letâs go! Theyâre already waiting for us!â
Aventurine feels himself being forcefully pulled under and he instinctively closes his eyes. A blast of hot, sandy air hits him, making him shield himself. When it settles down, he opens his eyes to a familiar sight. Sand stretches as far as the eye can see. Thereâs minimal vegetation and he can feel the sun beating down on his back already.
Sigonia-IV. Heâs returned home.Â
Kakavasha eagerly tugs on his sleeve.Â
âThis is my home! I know itâs not much, but everyone I know and love is here. I think youâll like it too.â
Still holding onto Aventurineâs hand, Kakvasha begins running toward the horizon. Aventurine, meanwhile, feels numb all over.Â
Thereâs no way this is happening. Is this some sort of cruel prank? What did that chicken-wing boy do this time? But if this is just a cruel prankâŠ
He looks around at the yellow sand stretching as far as the eye can see and the mountains in the distance.
⊠Then itâs far too realistic. How is this happening? If I filter out the memories of the massacre, then everything is the same as I remembered it.Â
âWeâre almost there!â calls out Kakavasha. âJust a little longer now!â
Three familiar figures stand in front of a tent some distance away and Aventurine feels his heart seize up in his chest. Heâs long forgotten their faces, but he instinctively recognizes them.
Mom. Dad. Big Sis.Â
Kakavasha lets go of his hand and sprints toward his family. He leaps into the arms of his big sister, who spins him around giddily while his mother plants kisses over his face and his father holds his tiny hands.Â
As he approaches, he realizes they have no faces. Where there are supposed to be eyes, a nose, and a mouth, there is nothing. A blank canvas with dents and ridges where the features are supposed to be greets him and he feels the hairs on the back of his neck rise up in warning.Â
The only exception to this is his sister, with her grinning mouth and her long blonde hair billowing in the wind- the only feature he remembers clearly about her. She takes notice of him and tilts her head curiously to the side.Â
âKakavasha, did you brâng a fâââd of âurs?â
Her voice comes out scratchy and distorted with only a few syllables recognizable. Thereâs a sinking feeling in his stomach when he realizes why.
He canât remember her voice anymore. Or the voices of his parents, for that matter. Heâs forgotten what they look like, and now what they sound like. Whatâs been forgotten canât be restored.Â
âYeah!â exclaims Kakavasha nestled safely into his sisterâs arms now. âEverybody, meet Mr. Pretty Eyes!â
They greet him with friendly waves and scratchy sounds that he thinks are supposed to be words of greeting. He almost chokes on the guilt and regret building up in his throat
âââ look just like ââ Kakavasha over here! ââ ââ ââ ââ his long-lost bââââr or something?âÂ
Aventurine forces out a laugh as the others join in.Â
If only they knew⊠Â
The sun is going down now, and the solar winds that blanket the planet grow harsher. They quickly usher him into the tent, telling him to make himself at home and inviting him to stay for dinner. Thereâs no way out as far as he can tell, so he obliges.
Itâs smaller than he remembers, he thinks as he ducks to avoid hitting his head. Thereâs a rudimentary kitchen setup in the back that Kakavashaâs mother is tending to as she begins preparing dinner. Kakavasha hops into his sisterâs lap and shakes the sand out of his hair and gets it everywhere, to which she lightly scolds him with a tug on his cheek.Â
He takes a seat on the fraying rug in the center and rubs a brightly-colored teal tassel between his fingers. The sand is already starting to seep into his clothes. He feels grains of it in his shoes and it pools onto his pristine white dress pants. Grains of it are nestled deep into the fur collar of his coat from the harsh solar winds outside that even vigorous shaking wonât dislodge.
Kakavashaâs sister smiles at him. Itâs a bit unnerving, just seeing a smiling mouth with no other features.
âSo, Mr. âââ Eyes, wâat 's your âââ ? At least, Iâm aâââ ming Mr. âââ Eyes isnât yoââ râl name.â
âItâs Kaka-â
He swallows hard and kicks himself. Heâs not Kakavasha. Not anymore.
âItâs⊠Aventurine.â
The very act of saying that name makes him feel like heâs betraying his family, stabbing them in the back.Â
âAâââââ , huh? What an inâââing and pretty name!â remarks his sister. He feels the air rush out his lungs and almost coughs up a sardonic laugh from the sheer irony of it all. First his family, then his language, then his body, and now even his name? Is there anything left that he can truly call his from his culture?Â
Thunder distantly rumbles overhead. Kakavasha and his sister peek their heads out curiously of the tent. She gasps excitedly and points to the darkening clouds overhead.Â
âHear that? ââ sign ââ your birthday is âââ â!â she exclaims as she holds Kakavashaâs hands in hers.ââââ ââ excited?â
⊠His birthday?Â
Thunder rumbles overhead again and he hears the pitter-patter of raindrops hitting the tent.Â
His birthday. The Kakava Festival.Â
His heart sinks into his stomach as his family chatters around him. They talk about birthday celebrations and what theyâll do that day, but itâs a muffled mess in his ears. Is it really almost his birthday already? Sigonia-IV followed many beliefs that were independent from the rest of the universe, namely the Aeon belief system, and that also extended to the calendar system. Truth be told, he wasnât exactly sure what day his birthday was in the Interastral Standard calendar system. He usually just flipped a coin and that was if he even bothered to celebrate, which he hadnât done in many years.Â
Aventurine does some quick estimating and realizes that yes, itâs almost his birthday. But how would he celebrate his birthday in this world, where all was good and he still remembered their faces and voices?Â
Aventurine closes his eyes and thinks. His mother would be overjoyed to know that her beloved son finally has a lover now. Sheâd make him clean the tent from top to bottom in preparation for your arrival, even though the sand would find its way back inside again within a matter of a few hours. His parents would cook up a feast for your arrival while his sister would pester him to tell more stories about you- as if there were any left that he hadnât. When the time would come and youâd nervously step through the tent flap with one hand holding his tightly and another clutching some gifts, his mother would rush forward and greet you with a kiss to the cheek, having already accepted you as family. His sister would steal you away from him to dote on you, much to his half-hearted chagrin. His father would tell corny jokes that youâd cringe at, and his mother would teach you recipes that had been passed down for generations, her warm, weathered hands resting atop yours and lovingly guiding your movements in the kitchen.Â
The five of you, safe, warm, and alive under the sun.Â
Hours after the rest of his family had gone to sleep, youâd lie side by side outside, watching the stars drift on by. Sigonia-IV is nothing like Pier Point. Free from light and industrial pollution, youâd have a stunning view of the cosmos every night. Twinkling stars shine overhead, so close you could practically pluck them out of the sky. Multicolored clouds of gas and stardust bathe the sky in their shifting hues as he tells you stories that have been passed down from generation to generation with the occasional shooting star passing by. Youâd stay like that for hours on end, content to just listen and watch, until you were lulled to sleep by his voice.Â
It would be cold, as all desert climates are at night, but it was nothing he couldnât bear with your warmth nestled into his side.Â
In the spring, or around now, heâd take you to celebrate the Kakava festival under the stars with a roaring bonfire. The festival itself would be a solemn and silent celebration with people murmuring prayers to the Mother Goddess and tossing sacrificial vessels into the fires, but the celebration of his birthday afterward would be loud and joyful. Bonfire sparks would rise up into the sky, carried by the hot solar winds and the rich sounds of his peopleâs songs. His mother would drape you in turquoise jewelry and gift you traditional clothes that she wouldâve spent hours beforehand making by hand, every stitch a labor of love. Heâd teach you to dance to the cheers of his family and the familiar tunes heâd hum under his breath. His movements would be fluid and graceful as he spins and twirls you around, while you stumble and flail along. Heâd enjoy every second of it- even if you step on his feet the whole time.Â
He would be kinder in this world, he thinks. Heâd still be Kakavasha. Aventurine would be an unknown man to him. Heâd wear his heart on his sleeve and his eyes would still have life to them. Heâd never have to hide his left hand.Â
And youâd be happier too. You wouldnât have to sift through the layers to find the true self underneath the act he puts up. He wouldnât be so hot and cold- practically love-bombing you one moment and then disappearing without a word for weeks the next. He wouldnât be a dirty gambler, a two-faced businessman, a disinterested womanizer, cheating scum, an IPC mutt, a corporate bootlicker, a worthless Sigonian slut or who knows what else youâve heard about himâ
In this world, there are no Katicans. The Avigins and his family are still intact. His neck is unmarred and he speaks the Avigin dialect fluently, instead of the halting and choppy cadence that's even worse than that of a childâs. Syrupy, honeyed words spill from his mouth as he teaches you common words and phrases in his mother tongue. Have you eaten yet? How did you sleep? How was your day? I missed you. Mother. Sister. Father. Lover. Goddess. I made you something. I saw this today and thought of you. Be safe. Sweet dreams. Goodnight. I love you. He chuckles when you parrot them back to him haltingly, with your accent mixed in. The notebook you keep with various phrases, their meanings, and their phonetics grows every day. The most worn out page was the one crammed full of declarations of love that sound more akin to poetry as your mastery over the dialect grows. The ink is smeared from how often youâve run your fingers over them, murmuring them under your breath until youâd committed them to memory. In your arms is the safest Iâll ever be. Iâm lucky to call you my lover. I sleep better when Iâm with you. I secretly name stars and constellations after you. Iâll kiss the weariness away from your face every night. I pray to Mama Fenge every night for your safety. I imagine her hands and embrace to be as warm as yours, and it reassures me somehow. Iâll miss your warm hands when that day finally comes. Goodnight, I love you. Â
Weâll be together even in Kakavaâs next aurora.Â
Aventurine jolts forward with a start. His eyes search around frantically, instinctively searching for his family and you, only to be greeted with a familiar sight that isnât his home. Bright flashing lights, the sound of cars honking and speeding by, muffled pop music playing in the distance, and the sugary scent of SoulGlad greet his senses instead of arid hot wind that howls in his ears and endless seas of sand. You and his family are nowhere to be seen either.Â
Oh. Right.
The Dreamscape.
His clothes stick to his skin drenched in a cold sweat and his glasses are resting lopsidedly on his face. His whole body is shivering uncontrollably, as if heâs been plunged into ice-cold water without warning. The world is going white before his eyes and all he can hear is the loud thump of his pulse in his ears that suddenly drops. He thinks heâs about to pass out again. This is the end, he thinks. Aventurine leans against the side of a wall again, taking deep, heaving breaths to steady himself and quell the nausea swirling around in his stomach.Â
When it subsides and he doesnât feel like heâs on the verge of death (sadly), he sits back up and forces out a laugh in place of a sob. First forcing a religious consecration onto him, then dangling his family in front of his face? How much crueler could the head of the Oak Family get?Â
His heart sinks and an overwhelmingly bitter feeling engulfs him. It was just a dream all along. A dream within a dream, really. Was he really that desperate for something familiar again?
(And just like that, the mask known as Aventurine is back in place.)
(But he couldnât even say goodbye or apologize to his family one last time, even if it wasnât them.)
It was a pleasant dream, heâll admit. How nice it would be to live in that world forever. But he knew it was a dream because it could never happen, as much as it pained him.Â
Aventurine hears the voice of Kakavasha drifting along from further up ahead and knows heâs nearing the final leg of his plan. With what little time he has left, he takes pictures with the boy for posterity and buys the child all the treats his eyes rest on for more than a second. Aventurine delights in the way his eyes light up at the first taste before he eagerly digs in for more.Â
Itâs cathartic, in a way.Â
Before stepping on stage, he looks up at the sky. Itâs perpetually nighttime in Clock Studios Theme Park, but he knows the sun is shining elsewhere in the Dreamscape. Is the sun shining where you are back at home? He thinks itâs morning for you. You must still be asleep with the cat cakes curled into your sides, blissfully unaware of the news youâll wake up to.Â
Get onstage. Fear not. Never look back.Â
One last thing to do.
He sends a final text to you.
Aventurine: I love you.
It stays on delivered when he puts his phone away. Itâll be the first thing you see when you wake up, and thatâs more than enough for him.Â
Itâs time for the curtain call.
The feeling of Kakavashaâs tiny body in his arms wonât be enough to chase away the grief. Nothing ever will be. But thisâll be the closest he can get.
Aventurine hugs the boy close, squeezing as hard as he can without hurting him. He feels how heâs nothing more than skin and bone beneath the oversized rags. No child should have to be this thin, he thinks, and heâs even more glad he treated Kakavasha to his heartâs content earlier.Â
This is the end. He gives Kakavasha one last squeeze to imprint this memory into his mind and gets up, waving goodbye over his shoulder all the while.Â
He never looks back.Â
In a shower of light, Kakavasha dissolves into the Nihility, and with him, Aventurineâs hopes for the ideal future- the one that you deserved. The Horizon of Existence is finally devoid of all color save for himself and the dark sun beckoning him forward toward the event horizon.
He takes a step forward, and then another. The sound of his footsteps against the surface and liquid splashing echo loudly in the empty space.Â
The Nihility is beginning to slowly engulf him. He feels it encroaching at the edges of his mind, eating away at his thoughts one by one until nothing remains. A hollow, empty feeling settles into his heart that weighs him down. Aventurine looks down at his hands and realizes the color is beginning to seep from his vision until he, too, would become one with the Nihility. The point of no return beckons to him like a moth to a flame. Nothingness, emptiness, worthlessness. Thereâs nothing left for him to do.Â
âCan you die today without any regrets?â
Aventurine finally has an answer to that question. The past is gone and heâs walking toward no future.
Yes. I finally can.

MOST DATABLE DATABLE CHARACTER 2 FINAL ROUND
Karlach propaganda:
âSweetest girl ever. She could throw you across a room. She can burn down a house. But she just wants a hug and to be cared about and to live her life.âÂ
âDefinitively overused phrase but she's a golden retriever she's so cute!â
âShe's the perfect woman!!! She's so nice and cute and silly and strong and wow I love girlsâ
"Karlach is the champion slave of one of the Devils in a layer of hell, and was sold to her by someone she trusted, and on TOP of that she is an experiment with an engine for a heart and she knows sheâs going to die and is in fairly constant pain but DESPITE that she is relentlessly positive and outgoing and silly because her spirit cannot be fucking crushed no matter WHAT"
Gale propaganda:
âHe is my cringe malewife I love him <3â
âListen. Some may dunk on him for eating all of your magic artifacts (he only eats three!!) and others may dislike him for various bugs in his romance. But man oh man does this guy take devotion to the next level. He is such a romantic. Says the line "Whether I condemn this world or not, I choose you." after you successfully convince him to disobey his goddess who is also his ex girlfriend. He's a bit hungry for power, but in like, a sexy way, where he wants to get it to elevate you both to Godhood. And if you tell him that you want him for the man he is and not the God he aspires to be, he abandons that search for power and proposes. You can have wizard sex with him in the sky. His "rebellious streak" consists of staying up late reading and summoning a cat when his parents told him he couldn't have one, and also the aforementioned pursuit of godlike powers. What an absolute catch. He's always saying dramatic stuff in battle, but if you have him sneak around, he starts complaining like a grumpy old man. He's extra attracted to you when you're in battle. He has a bomb in his chest. And it is a very nice chest. Anyway. Boyfriend material.â
âThis man is so sweet and idealistic. He wants everything about your romance to go perfectly like a fairy tale but that isn't really possible in apocalyptic settings, so he will use magic to help you forget your surroundings when trying to be intimate to get as close as he can to perfect because he wants you to have the best. He is also attracted to literally all of your character and gets really turned on when you are musky and covered in blood after a battle. Just love my nerdy awkward horny romantic wizard.â

day five â shota aizawa â coffee shop au!
tw implied age gap, mentions of heart failure & brief mentions of suicide
dealing with hyperactive kids all day is tiring. so, as a strategy to help him get by, aizawa will pay a visit to his local coffee shop on his way to work, and orders a sweet pastry along with a caffeinated drink.
not only is a nice treat, but that little bit of sugar and extra coffee gives him the energy he needs to stay awake through the whole day and complete his extra duties too. it's a nice routine he's found himself falling into, popping into the cafe every day of his working week, and occasionally trying out new desserts.
something else that has made him particularly excited for his daily pastry, is the new hire who has recently started serving him. he's been frequenting this cafe for around two years, and for the most part, it was a nice old lady that would be behind the counter. however, for the last week or so, it has been someone else.
a someone else who happens to be a treat for his eyes, while he buys a treat for his stomach.
today, he's headed to work a bit early to grade some papers before class. naturally, during his walk to the train station, he slips into the cafe first to begin his morning routine.
he was only half-surprised to see you standing behind the counter again, hair thrown into an updo, covered by a puffy hairnet, which he could tell you weren't pleased by wearing. though he's never seen someone look so cute in one before. as for your uniform, you wore a white blouse under an apron with the cafe's logo on it, tightened at the waist to highlight your gorgeous figure.
he couldn't take his eyes off you, which made things a bit awkward when you address him, while he's lost in his fantasies, "welcome. are you ready to order?" you ask, offering him a weak smile.
he blinks, raising his eyebrows as he is suddenly snapped out of his thoughts. "hm," he crosses his arms over his chest and approaches the counter, scanning over all the delicious options kept in the adjacent display case. "a croissant, please."
"okay." you hum, tapping that through the system, "and would you like a drink?"
"yes. a triple espresso."
you raise your eyebrows, then explain with a polite smile, "we serve doubles as standard here, so that would be the equivalent of six shots of espresso. if you prefer, i could give you a double which is equivalent to four shâ"
"six shots is fine." he says bluntly.
"uh," you stammer, quite caught off-guard by the man's resounding certainty. "do you happen to be a teacher?"
he quirks a brow, and can't help but smirk a little at your observation, "yes. highschoolers."
"i would've guessed elementary kids." you snicker, idly fiddling with the tassles of your apron, "i don't think i can, in good conscience, serve you six shots of coffee in one drink."
"really? the other lady would serve it to me, no questions asked." he says, in such a dull, matter-of-fact way that you can't tell if he was being sarcastic.
"she also still thinks smoking is good for you, so she's far from a health guru." you joke, and feel quite pleased with yourself as the man cracks the tiniest smile in response, "you usually get a double, don't you? i could do that for you. that would be four shots."
"i've got an early start today; i could use the extra energy."
"well, i don't want you dying of a heart attack, so will a double be okay?"
"for an old guy like me, heart failure is inevitable anyway. may as well enjoy the coffee while i'm still alive." though his inflection sounds serious, you can tell there is a hint of playfulness in his tone.
"well, you'll have a lot more time to be alive and drink your coffee if you stick to a double." you argue, eyes fixed on the screen as you ring up his total, "that'd be a thousand yen."
he hands over a single note, you process it and then start preparing his drink at the espresso machine. since he is the only customer in the store, in order to combat the awkward silence, you intend to engage him in conversation. and fortunately, he strikes it up first, "a double will have to do. though if i fall asleep mid-class, i'll let them know who to blame."
"i have a feeling you were going to do that either way." you tease, entirely joking, however aizawa is stunned momentarily at how you're able to read him like an open book.
"i see you've somehow found a copy of my lesson plan." he says in that indecipherable tone of his.
"i did. and you glad you're only having four shots of coffee? otherwise, you wouldn't be able to nap." you explain perkily, pouring the brew you made for him into a to-go cup and fitting a lid onto it.
"you'd be suprised." it was now aizawa realised how strange this was. where ever his colleagues tried to engage him in vapid small-talk, it filled with the burning urge to blow his brains out, but now he was not only enjoying a surface-level conversation, but going out of his way to participate in it. with a complete stranger, no less.
"oh, i must be dealing with a professional napper." you muse, giggling to yourself as you use the tongs to pick up a croissant for him from the display case and put it into a paper bag. once that was all done, you wrapped it up, placed it on the counter alongside the coffee and gestured for him to take it â but not without slipping a little something into the bag first.
trudging over to the counter, he picks up the coffee and bag in one hand, and uses the other to get another thousand yen note of his pocket and slide it over to you.
"sir, you've already paid." you correct, motioning for him to keep his money.
"this is your tip." he clarifies, leaving it on the counter for you to take, as he turns around to head out, "you're a sweet girl for caring about the health of others."
as he says that, he doesn't make eye-contact with you, but just as he opens the door to leave, he glances over his shoulder and casts you a gentle smile, which you reciprocate.
it did worry him slightly that he may have came on too strong in that interaction, but his worries were put to rest on the train, just as he was about to start eating his pastry, but lying atop it is a napkin with a note scribbled on it:
'if you're okay with double espressos for the rest of your life, my number is written on the back :P'

Everyone asked for both so Iâm gonna do both :3, PLEASE I am not a talented writer or anything please excuse me if itâs not as good
Lucifer X reader Headcanons
- Before Lucifer met you, he was definitely an emotional wreck.
He spent all his time in his workshop, creating things as a coping mechanism.
But as soon as he locked eyes with you, it was like a light bulb in him switched on, and he was instantly hooked on you.
- Lucifer tried his best to woo and court you.
As if his last moments on earth depended on it, he would smother you in gifts, specifically custom-made ducks that he always made sure were made with love and perfection.
His desire for you was so intense that he devoted all his efforts to winning your heart and making you his.
It was as if all his sorrows and woes melted away the moment he saw you.
- There were times that Lucifer almost gave up.
As he feared that you didn't return his feelings, thoughts of failure and despair filled his mind.
However, when you finally accepted his advances, he was overwhelmed with joy.
So much so, that he jumped into your arms and held you tightly.
It was a moment of pure blissful happiness, and he knew that he never wanted to let go.
- Lucifer was so focused on wooing you that he forgot to tell his daughter about you.
He was so concerned about making things perfect that he did everything in his power to ensure that your meeting was as perfect as possible.
He was so worried that you might not like each other that he tried to prepare for every possible scenario.
Spoiler alert, you and Charlie loved each other
- While visiting Charlieâs Hotel, a certain red-haired male was stepping a little too close to you for Luciferâs comfort.
Lucifer saw the male coming closer and closer and grew increasingly concerned.
He did not like the idea of someone else being close to you, especially Alastor
Lucifer felt jealous and protective, and he wanted to make sure that the male kept his distance.
Safe to say you spent the rest of the visit with lucifers arm around your waist.
- Lucifer loves to take you out on romantic dates.
He always finds the perfect places to take you, with the most delightful settings.
He takes you to intimate restaurants, candlelit dinners, and romantic walks on the best beach in hell.
He makes sure to plan everything to the smallest detail, so that you always feel special and pampered.
Lucifer wants to show you how much he cares and appreciates you, and he does it through romantic dates that are always perfect.
- While Lucifer does have his shortcomings, he will go as far as needed to prove to you just how much you are loved every day.
He is committed to making your life a series of surprises and magical moments, and he will always go the extra mile to ensure that you feel loved and cherished.
In the end, Lucifer may have his faults, but he will never let them interfere with making sure you feel special and appreciated every single day.
Adam X reader Headcanons
- Adam does not typically get into relationships, but when he does, he tends to exhibit similar behavior patterns. He engages in playful teasing and name-calling as a way to show affection toward his partner.
Although these antics can seem somewhat derogatory, Adam ensures that his partner never actually feels bad as a result. While he might playfully poke fun at his partner at times, he is also capable of being loving and supportive (barely).
- Adam is not a typical romantic, and he is not used to expressing these types of feelings. Even so, he tries his best to court you in his own way.
There are times when he may act a little awkward or mean, but beneath it all, he truly cares for you.
While he might stumble over his words or lack the grand gestures, Adam shows his feelings through small gifts and nicknames.
- Although you might not be showing any signs of affection, Adam would never give up on courting you. He is persistent and determined to win your heart.
Even if you were to continuously reject him, he would continue to pursue you. Adam feels deeply for you, and he is willing to go to great lengths to make you his own.
So, if you truly want him, Adam would never stop trying to win you over with his endearing charms.
- Once you finally surrendered to his charms, Adams ego grew even bigger.
As part of his big ego, he became extremely affectionate and public in his displays of affection. He wants everyone to see you as a couple, and he doesn't mind who's watching.
Adam wants everyone to know that you're his, and he is going to make sure everyone knows it.
- Adam is an incredibly possessive and insecure man (I wonder why đ), and he dislikes seeing other men around you.
When a male approaches you, Adam quickly swoops in, giving the other man a dirty look and then proceeding to make out with you in front of him. With his dominant display of affection, he makes sure that the other man knows his place.
Then, he takes you by the hand and leads you away, anticipating the night that awaits you both.
- Adam is a romantic man, and he enjoys date nights with you. He loves to spend time sitting on his balcony with you, eating takeout, and engaging in fun gossip.
However, he also appreciates having nice dinners together, and he enjoys taking you to the hottest concerts in town.
He also likes to express his affection for you through singing, he cherishes your presence more than anything else.
- Even with his flaws and occasional mistakes, Adam is a decent lover overall.
He may be imperfect and stumble at times, but his genuine desire to make you happy is what matters most. Although he may make occasional jabs and tease you, it all boils down to his genuine care for you.
At the end of the day, your happiness is what Adam truly cares about more than anything else. Even through all the ups and downs of a relationship, he will always do what it takes to make you happy.
- Adams favourite movie is frozen.

Sun wukong dating headcanons? âĄÂŽïœ„áŽïœ„`âĄ
đ€ !! â I [love] you like the sun! Sun Wukong (LMK) / reader
đ€ !! â For as long as you knew Wukong, there has been this odd constant about him; and it wasn't the fact that he took everything, seemingly, at face value and joked about a lot of what he was doing (whether he knew what he was doing or not). No, that was just something you come to accept of Wukong, it was the fact that he hated to be alone. For as much as he puts up a front, deeming he is okay alone and he doesn't need anyone by his side, you knew the opposite was true. It always had been; Wukong just wasn't one who could talk about his emotions in a proper manner, and you guessed it was due to the fact he had so many apologies he could not give.
đ€ !! â Or maybe they were apologies he just can't give due to his own stubbornness and pride, either way for as much as he hated being alone you also knew Wukong hated hurting his friends. Despite the fact that he tends to do it a lot without realizing it. Time and time again he will just get so absorbed within himself, within trying to correct a problem (he most likely caused) and trying to protect his friends that he ends up hurting everyone else instead. From the brotherhood to his student, Wukong has never learnt how to talk to people. Nevertheless, you would suspect he has a habit of thinking if he where to tell people how he was actually feeling they would think different of him; possibly less, possibly weaker.
đ€ !! â Oh, for how much you love Wukong he always seemed to burn everyone next to him. That's why you have to take a little extra care of his heart, and of him. For despite how long you know him, it'll take a hot minute before he realizes that he's as stuck with you and you're stuck with him.
đ€ !! â No literally, you're both stuck with each other and there's no getting out of it.
đ€ !! â You were first introduced to Wukong through the whole godly latter, that and by what MK, Mei, Tang, Chang'e and Ne Zha has told you about the proclaimed Great Sage, Equal to Heaven. You may or may not have spoken to Macaque once or twice as well before you ever met MK's mentor, which really stuck wrong with you at first. If you were meeting one of this "Great Sage's" enemies before you met the "Great Sage" himself, then what did that say about the "Equal to Heaven", huh? That he couldn't be bothered to be around to protect MK? That he's too lazy sleeping somewhere on a fluffy cloud to get up and kick his emo cousin's ass? Yeah, you had been really bitter towards Wukong at first. Even stand-offish when you first met him.
đ€ !! â Even more creeped out when he used to stare at you for no reason, holding this odd look in his eyes. You had a feeling he wanted to say something, something that seemed to really bug him because even MK pointed out how weird his staring habit was. But he never did. He always kind of bit his tongue and tried to stay his distance from you.
đ€ !! â You kind of noticed that rather quickly. I mean, how could you not notice when Sun Wukong would dance around MK and Mei to get away from you whenever you walked over. Or how he suddenly went quiet, like he was trying to disappear, when you pipped in on a conversation. Or the way he would actually disappear whenever when you came by and make up some awkward excuse like he left the stove on at home or he needed to feed his pet bird.
đ€ !! â "I don't even think he has a pet bird.." MK mumbled at that one, not having noticed that you had just walked into Pigsy's until you sat down next to Tang; Who greeted you accordingly with a smile. You simply smiled and nodded back. "Yeah, well what do you expect from a two-timin' schemer who always just happens to disappear when someone comes in." Pigsy commented, shooting his eyes towards you with a cock of his eyebrow. You couldn't help but give in an unamused look, MK and Mei quickly giving you very esthetic hellos. Yet they soon hushed as you shook your head, "If you're saying I had anything to do with the 'Great Sage' suddenly getting cold feet whenever I come by, I don't know what that's about-" "Yeah!" MK suddenly appeared at your side, Mei in tow, "Before we introduced them, the Monkey King said he never has met them before. I just think it's some weird god stuff, that or maybe he's always just conveniently busy when you come around." And with that MK shrugged, giving the group a small smile. "Yeah, no, I think there's more to it." Tang mumbled between slurping his noodles.
đ€ !! â Yeah, no, I think there's more to it. Why did those words stick in your head? Yeah, no, I think there's more to it. What more could be to Monkey King, Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, have to avoiding you like you were a plague other than him just not liking you for whatever reason? I mean, you've heard all the stories that MK and Tang have dug up about the Monkey King and nothing really ever struck a cord in you. You've listened to them gush about this great hero, a powerful demon that has revealed and bested so many, and none of that gave off the energy that Wukong did when he was around you. So what is his deal?
đ€ !! â Later that week, after a tired shift of serving costumers, you didn't have the energy to do much other than slug your way back to Pigsy's; And you couldn't help but half-pray to anyone that Wukong was there. "And then I was like!-" And yet you instantly knew the gods were not on your side that day when you heard the Monkey King himself boosting about another fight he conquered. Yet, by the sounds of it, this was an older fight. Not that you were surprised in any way, that was just how the Monkey king seemed to be. He would use voice-sound effects, as well as big dramatic motions, to show how he defeated whichever enemy he was fighting in his tale. All the while, you managed to slip into the shop and quietly sit next to an overly excited Tang (as MK and Mei were sitting front row to hear the story). Yet, just as Wukong was about to get to the climax his eyes met yours and he faltered; His mouth went dry as his whole dramatic disposition came to an abrupt halt. You swore it he looked at you like he saw a ghost, and something about this surely ticked you off. After a day of serving rude costumers and frantic mothers with missing kids, you were about two seconds from smashing Wukong's face into the table.
đ€ !! â "What? Why do you always look at me like that?" You would retort to the Monkey King with a scrunch of your nose, folding your arms firmly across your chest. Despite the disappointment from Mei and MK seconds before, as Wukong had stopped his dramatic retelling, they paused upon hearing your voice and turned around. You were sure they now understood why Wukong had stopped so suddenly. "I don't look at you like anything," Wukong instantly tried to deny, throwing out a 'pshh' from his mouth and a dismissive wave to drive his claim. Though he turned his back towards you to check the fake watch on his wrist, "Oh, well you look at the time! My cat must be so lonely-" You were tired of his dodging act, "I thought it was a bird." "Well a king can't have too many animals!- pets?" Wukong shot back almost instantly and you swore you could see some sweat rolling down his hidden face. He rubbed the back of his head, keeping his eyes on everything but you. "Yeah, uh-huh, because all your pets looks so real when I went to your little cave of a home with MK that one day to babysit." You would cock an eyebrow up at Wukong, watching as he stiffened in place. You were sure he was glaring daggers at the ground, maybe even thinking of escaping with his fancy god-like magic, "Yeah, uh-huh, as I thought. You have no pets do you, Great Sage? So, do you mind telling me why you've been avoiding me?"
đ€ !! â For as long as you knew Wukong, you never realized how long you had actually known him for. Centuries of memories you could no longer recall, countless lives that you never knew you experienced, and it all seemed such an artificial answer when it came from Wukong. It felt like another outlandish tale of half-truths he was feeding to you to keep some sort of peace. But it wasn't:
đ€ !! â At the start of it all, you had been a goddess (immortal like the rest). You hadn't been anyone important, no one that the mortals would remember anyways, you were simply one of the maidens that picked the immortality peaches in the orchard. You had been one of the few immortals who caught Wukong as he stole a peach, and oddly enough (from his recounting) you had let him go. Which made him curious about you. All too curious for his own good. You both would spend evenings and nights in each other's company upon any private setting you could find. In the orchard, in a garden that was rarely occupied, in your own room even. You both talked about everything and nothing, spent evenings somethings just laying and enjoying each other's company. Yet you could not leave the Celestial Realm, you were not on the approved list to do so. And yet when Wukong had left his post to return to his kingdom he still made the dangerous journey to come see you. He tried to convince you to come down with him many times, to come see the mountain of flower and fruits with your own eyes. Even when you told him no, he continued to come back. Until one day he just decided to kidnap you entirely.
đ€ !! â It wasn't a bad kidnapping, one more like you were about to face sever punishment for associating with the Monkey King despite the status you held among the immortals. He proclaimed he was your hero as Wukong explained how he busted into the room, sweeping you off your feet and escaping the guards that had been sent to capture the two of you. Though it had been the worst mistake of his life.
đ€ !! â What he hadn't known at the time, what you hadn't know either, was that the Jade Emperor had cursed you upon your assignment to the Peach orchard. If you were ever to escape the confines of the Celestial Realm, if you were to ever eat any of the peaches unauthorized, your divinity would be stripped away as punishment. You would have basically fell from heaven, becoming a mortal, if Wukong hadn't been holding (kidnapped) you during the decent down. And the way he described the anguish you had gone through while losing your divinity, despite having explaining this while sitting on a wooden table in a small and cramp noodle shop, made some sort of shiver rush up your spine. He couldn't even look up at you, this time out of pure guilt, as he explained it all; "I watched as your divinity was stripped from you, balled up at your chest before shooting up towards the Celestial Realm. I heard the Jade Emperor's laughter, his maniatic laughter and dammit-" Wukong punched the table, and you were surprised he didn't break it with the force he had used, "-All I wanted to do was go up there and beat his ass for being so cruel to you; for making you endure so much pain..." And something inside of you told you, like it was some sort of faint whisper, that Wukong was tormented by the thoughts of your screams until this day. That no matter what he has gone through or what he will go through, your screams will be the one thing that truly shakes him to his core.
đ€ !! â "Ever since that day everything felt like some corny mortal and immortal love story that's written about now-a-days." Wukong would explain as his eyebrows frowned together, "When you first died it hurt so much, I was tempted to go up to the Jade Emperor himself and force him to take my immortality to be with you. "I debated on that for years actually, yet none of my old friends would let me near the Celestial Realm. And so I kind of sat and waited, I didn't know what to do with myself and it felt like I was always going to miss a part of me forever. Corny for the Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, I know!" Wukong smiled, trying to lighten the mood with his usual antics. Yet he flattened, "But.. it really felt like it. "Until I was on a mission one day and I saw you again and you didn't know me, and I knew you didn't, but you drew me in all the same and well I fell in love with you all over again. And you fell in love with me and that cycle kind of repeated itself..."
đ€ !! â Wukong paused, a small frown grew on his lips. He seemed hesitant to continue his train of thought yet he took in a deep breath and let it go. "Well, until you told me to stop with this mad chase. You had found all of past life you's memorabilia and pictures in that big closet of important things I own... and you told me to move on. "And you told me if I ever find you again in the future to not pursue a relationship with you because. . . well you didn't want to see me hurt."
đ€ !! â But after all these lives, after all the time you have known Wukong, you should have known better that he couldn't keep his mind from you no matter how hard he tried. He hated being alone as much as he hated this horrible cycle he's put you through, yet still in every life he has chosen you above everyone else. He continued to choose you and you continued to choose him.
đ€ !! â And, hey, that has to mean something. . . right?

Confessions | Honkai Star Rail
So i've been super into hsr recently and I thought I'd get back to doing longer hcs because those are always fun! This time I left out Welt and Sampo and I'm not sure how I feel about it lol ⧠Includes: Dan Heng, Gepard, Jing Yuan, Luocha, Blade ⧠Extra: Something a little weird has happened to my Blade lol, he's just a confused man who really likes the reader. It may be ooc- i have no clue
Dan Heng
For Dan Heng, he doesnât know how long heâs liked you. He just realized it one day when you said something- a compliment towards him- and he just couldnât stop thinking about it.
Dan Hengâs not the most outward person, so wanting to confess wasnât something easy for him. He actually needed to prepare, give himself a pep talk and all. His method is invite you to his room and then just tell you- no beating around the bush.
Youâre shocked to say the least- I mean itâs DAN HENG. He liked you?! HE CONFESSED?! You sat there for a good minute just staring at him. He looked calm but kinda started panicking on the inside.
âI-I like you too!â You say before he can speak. You were so loud, he jumped a little. Safe to say, heâs extremely happy you accepted because then it wouldâve been awkward afterwards.
âOh good⊠good.â
Gepard Landau
Everyone knows Gepard likes you before himself. He can say itâs just been a few months but others know itâs been like a year. Itâs just the way he acts and stuff.
Gepard has a VERY hard time confessing. Heâll keep trying to do it, but then backs out at the last minute. Heâll keep saying he wants to talk to you about something important then just doesnât tell you. Finally, one day⊠it slips out. You two are alone and he barely realizes it until he sees your face.
Youâre happy but also shocked. The guy youâve liked for like ever finally likes you back! Do you go through the statue phase of freezing up and staring? Yes. Did he start panicking because of it? Yes. Your reaction right after was to throw yourself at him and give him a tight hug.
He doesnât say anything right then and just hugs you back. You not running away, horrified, probably meant you felt the same. That made him happy- so happy he didnât even know what to do.
âThank you⊠for not running away- oh and liking me back.â
Jing Yuan
His feelings had been around for a few months now, he knew pretty much instantly when he was attracted to you. It didnât take him long to figure out he was in love with you either. It was obvious, his heart pounded when you were around, he couldnât stop thinking about you, and he was always worried youâd find someone else.
Jing Yuan confesses fancy style. Heâll invite you out to like dinner or something or maybe just to take a late night walk with him. As youâre walking, heâll coyly bring up the topic of dating and whatnot. You two chat for a bit, then he just admits it. He makes sure to add the âitâs alright if you donât feel the same way, I wonât be upset.â
Of course, you do feel the same way! Your eyes widen and you gasp as the reality sets in. The General of the Cloud Knights liked YOU! It took a moment to just process his words, and Jing Yuan stood there patiently, giving you time to think. If you were going to say no, thatâs fine, he just needed a clear answer. You found it hard to speak but forced the words out, âI-I feel the same.â
Jing Yuanâs over the moon with this newfound knowledge. Heâs so happy, he could shout it out from over the rooftops. Honestly! All he can do is give you a tight hug, not wanting to do anything else if you werenât ready for it- say a kiss.
âIâm glad. We should go on a date then- a proper one.â
Luocha
Luocha is very good at keeping his feelings to himself. At first, he thought it was just a little crush and it would pass. But it didnât. It just⊠kept developing. He tried to manage it, feeling that maybe a relationship right now wasnât the best option for him. But when his heart would start pounding every time you smiled at him, or his mind went back to you and what you mightâve been doing when you two were apart told me he⊠maybe didnât wanna wait.
Luochaâs confession wasnât exactly grand. I mean, what was there to be super grand about? Especially if you were going to reject him. So he just took you out on a little walk and slyly brought up the topic of relationships. Once you mentioned you didnât mind being in one, he just said, âwill you be in one with me?â
You kinda froze. Deer in headlights situation. You needed a moment to process what heâd just said. He⊠wanted to date you? WELL GOOD! YOU WANTED TO DATE HIM! You happily nodded, a big giant smile spreading on your face.
There was this emotion he felt when you said you liked him too. Pure, unadulterated happiness. He felt so good about himself, about life, about everything. That emotion spoke volumes and all he could do was hug you. Tightly.Â
"I'm glad... because I was really, really nervous you'd say no."
Blade
Ok⊠hear me out. Blade knows he likes you⊠when he doesnât hate you. When you ask him for a favor and he says yes. When you hug him and he doesnât strangle you- honestly, it wasnât hard for him to know. Kafka teases him and he just ignores her.
Blade⊠doesnât know how to confess. Heâs not crazy about relationships or⊠people. So his entire confession was just confusing. You followed absolutely nothing except: âI like you.â You thought he was just admitting he didnât hate you. That was good news! But you didnât realize how good it was. âThatâs great! I like you too!â You replied to which he crossed his arms, nodded, and said⊠âweâre dating now.â
Mhm. Yeah. Thatâs how smooth he is :â) you- you poor soul- didnât know what he meant at first. So you were beyond shocked when he said what he did. Blade- BLADE- liked you- Y O U- romantically? You liked him too but you never ever expected this. Not in a million years.
You could only manage a dazed nod for a few seconds before a giant smile spread on your face and you practically threw yourself at him. Bladeâs usual reaction would be to shove the person away but this was his special person. So⊠he hugged back.
âThat was⊠rude, I think? Will you go on a date with me?â

Iâm just gonna drop a little gift hereâŠ
LOOK AT HIM SO FUCKING GORGEOUS AND HOT AND đ©đ©đ©đ©đ©
Ok love you byeeeeeâđ»
LOOK AT HIM. I say nothing is perfect and then he comes along. And are we getting a glimpse inside of Smartie's mind?
Daddy? Sorry.
Pairing: Roommate!Bucky Barnes x Female Reader Word Count: Over 760 Warnings: Discussion of Bucky being d-addy. Hehe.
A/N: Stud and Smartie nonsense. Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
"You know what I don't get? The 'Daddy? Sorry.' thing," you told Natasha as you waited for Bucky to join you at the cafe for lunch. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. "Is it bad that I don't get it?"
"Not bad," Natasha replied, cocking an eyebrow at you and not questioning the out of the blue topic. "But what exactly are you not getting?"
"I guess calling a guy 'Daddy'," you shrugged, adding air quotes for good measure. "I've never done it."
"So, you haven't called Bucky 'Daddy'?" she smirked.
âNo, I havenât. I just said I havenât called anyone that,â you said, holding your chin high when her expression didnât change.
If there was one thing you appreciated about Natasha, she never made you feel dumb or embarrassed for any candid discussions you had with her. Even when she teased you, it was all in good fun. Bucky liked that the two of you became friends, though he preferred to be your main confidant. You felt the same way about him.
âBut he isnât just anyone.â
âI know,â you smiled, glancing around to see if he arrived yet. âHeâs special.â
My future husband. I just know it.
âAnd youâre special to him, too. Canât have Stud without Smartie,â the redhead said as you smiled more. It was nice to hear that. âOkay. In your mind, how would you describe a Daddy?â
You snorted a bit because you couldnât believe this was where the conversation went. Well, you brought it up. You shouldâve known your friend would ask questions. She did have a way of getting people to talk.
âBesides handsome?â you asked, getting a nod in agreement. You had to think about it before you continued. âI guess someone protective and maybe a bit dominant? Not in a controlling way, but in a âI want to take care of youâ kind of way.â
Bucky was the most protective person you knew. It wasnât just physically standing up for you if he felt the need to step in and defend you. He cared about your mental well-being and feelings. And while he didnât mind you taking the lead, he was very much the more dominant of the two of you. No matter what, you knew you were his number one priority in and out of bed.
âGo on,â she urged, taking a sip as she kept her neutral gaze on you.
A small smile touched your lips as you adjusted the hoodie you were wearing. It was Buckyâs, of course. âAnd I guess it can be playful and affectionate, like I want to tease him. Can you imagine if I called him that in front of everyone?â you asked, giggling as you pictured a couple of expressions he might give you from hearing the nickname. âBut itâs also vulnerable, in a way, because it might sound awkward if I say it and he may not like it. What matters is that I trusted him enough to say it though and he might like it.â
I trust him to tell me the truth.
âWhy do you think heâd like it?â
You looked at her without an ounce of shame. âBecause it's that extra bit of assurance that Iâm his.â
But it also says heâs mine, right?
Natasha gave you a rare wide smile. âSounds like you understand it just fine.â
As if he sensed the two of you were discussing him, Bucky came into view. If your friend heard you whimper, she kindly didnât call you out on it. Maybe she was used to you gazing at Bucky Barnes like he was a work of art that you had the privilege to touch.
Your brain tried to tell your eyes to quit looking at him like a creep, but you didnât blink. You just stared at your man and tried not to drool as you took in his tight blue sweater and pulled back hair. His stance and size screamed âpowerâ and you suddenly wished heâd bend you over the table and take you right there. There was also a softness about him that made you want to burrow in his arms and never leave.
Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. OH. I fucking get it now. Is this a new kink unlocked? Wait, is it a kink?
âCall him âDaddyâ and Iâll pay for lunch,â Natasha offered as Bucky spotted you both and headed to the table.
âThatâs a conversation for Daddy and I to have first,â you joked.
And knowing Bucky, heâd be happy with whatever you called him.
How do we think he'd react? Love and thanks! â€ïž

Consider if you will: Billy gets hit by some spell that sort of shows the gods who are in his head All the Time. Not exactly though, mote like misty gray human shapped blobs. Like someone took the Smooth tool in photo shop to them to erase all the details and faces. They still have different body shapes, postures, and voices though. Everyone can see all seven- wait seven?
Everyone there, especially those who don't normally have bodies of their own are Very excited to be there with Sort Of Bodies. Mercury immediately jumped on the table and started to sing while doing the Freestyle Dance Teacher dance. Atlas and Zues are brawling in the back and Hercules cheers. Achilles talking to Billy who is Not Responding while trying to figure out how to copy the dances Mercury is doing on the table. Solomon is simply giving some long winded lecture that Billy is already tuning out as he introduces each of his patrons to his coworkers and says, "and yes. They are always Like This. 24/7. Actually I'm surprised Hercules isn't trying to over power Mercury's singing with his own."
Hal points to the 7th and final figure who is yet to be introduced, A very small and skinny figure tucked between Marvel's cape and his legs, face to blurred and smooth to know but clearly glaring and body language frightening, and asks who this one is and what power they give. Thinking fast and maybe with a touch of help from Solomon sending a bit of extra power, Marvel says, "oh this? He's shy and doesn't like his name being given out. And he may not be the strongest or the bravest or the fastest, but he is undoubtedly one of the most important blessings I have. The Heart and Mind of a child. He keeps me honest and nags me about doing the right thing simply because it's The Right Thing. He also reminds me of the beauty and wonder in the world in small and simple ways. Like the time he got so excited about finding a 5 leaf clover that he made me preserve it and keep it in my pocket because the 5th leaf *clearly* means it's *extra* lucky. Or he'll point out things like how pretty the sun set is or how nice ice cream is on a hot day and just. All the little things that remind me of why I fight in the first place. He's a good kid, even if he didn't get to be a kid for very long." Billy feels a bit awkward patting his own(?) Head but he's got to sell the illusion.
Everyone is awwing almost enough to not notice when Murcury starts singing "FROM THE WINDOW, TO THE WALL!" And gets the the shit smacked our of him by Achilles before he can finish the next verse.
This is so cute. Imagine that when Cap was introducing Billy he put emphasis on his job by telling them "He is the only difference between me and Black Adam" because that is why Shazam picked him.
Also I am living for the chaos the gods are bringing to the table, or on the table if you're Mercury.

Naruto, Sasuke & Sakura having a crush on you!
headcanons !
tw: a little bit of angst? just a tiny amount
includes: naruto, sasuke, sakura
Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto canât help but wear his heart on his sleeves. Subtlety? Heâs never heard of that. Heâll always burst into your inner space with his usual smile and cheery words.
Itâs painfully obvious he wants to be near you, spending any and all excuses to be together. Heâll always make time for you.
âDonât tell me youâre scared?â Heâll tease you if you decline training.
Heâs extra animated when youâre around, talking louder, laughing harder and doing anything he can to get your attention.
Narutoâs biggest giveaways is endless compliments and admiration for you. Heâll find any and every opportunity to hype you up. Even if it was the most basic thing.
âWhoa youâre so smart.â âUh, it was just 1+1?â âStill smart!â
Physical touch is so important to him. Expect playful nudges, head ruffles and hugs so tight that it knocks out your breath.
If anyone tries to flirt with you, heâll shove himself between you two. Pulling you away with some flimsy joke.
If he is feeling more jealous than usual, heâll try to embarrass them but ends up tripping over his own feet. Ends up working in his book since youâre paying attention to him.
Despite his confidence, thereâs a deep layer of insecurity in him. It shows when heâs fidgeting, scratching the back of his head and stammering his words. He wants to impress you so badly, but sometimes feels unworthy of your affection.
Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke? A complete mess. He likes to think heâs nonchalant, but in actuality cares a lot more than he lets on. Heâll always deny it, but the way he tenses up gives him away.
He shows his affection through action more than words. Giving you advice after sparring, standing close during missions and giving you snacks if you say youâre hungry. (He always has leftover onigiri.)
Even though Sasuke doesnât say much, his words mean a lot.
His dry humour shows when itâs just you two. Underhanded teasing, but itâs his own awkward way of connecting with you.
âYouâre slower than I expected. I guess Iâll have to carry you, hm?â
Donât tease him back, heâll become too flustered and wonât be able to speak coherently for the rest of the day.
He is also very protective. After all he lost almost everyone he cared about. You wonât leave him either, will you?
If you get injured during a mission, his entire demeanor changes. His usual stoic expression replaced by a frantic need that youâre okay.
âYouâre so careless.â Heâll grumble, yet his hands are shaking while wrapping up your bandages.
He is sincere in everything he does. He truly wants the best for you and sometimes he feels that may not include him.
Sakura Haruno
Sakuraâs feelings are a complete rollercoaster. One minute sheâs composed and confident and the next sheâs tripping over her words and blushing so hard that her face almost resembles her hair.
Sheâll fuss over your health, repeatedly lecturing you about how dangerous it is to overexert yourself. She remembers everything regarding you and will always remind you stuff youâve forgotten. Ensuring youâre being taken care of.
âHonestly, do I have to keep an eye on you all the time?â But thereâs a soft look on her face that says she wouldnât mind that.
Small moments are precious to her and she loves to share them with you. Chatting over tea, shopping together and maybe even just walking around the village. Itâs her way of showing that she wants you in her life.
When sheâs nervous, she gets defensive. Especially when you catch her staring or tease her about how much she cares.
âDonât read too much into it!â Sheâll playfully shove you while her ears turn a deep shade of red. (That push might leave bruises..)
Sheâs very protective. If someone even thinks of crossing you, theyâll get a piece of her mind and maybe even her fists. That includes people who flirt at you.
She sometimes acts very extra when she knows youâre watching. Whether itâs during missions or when sheâs healing you. She wants you to see her as someone capable and strong. After all, she wants your acknowledgment more than anything else.
