MUN | RULES | Morgen's Trigun Profile Established 2023 (loved for many years previous) by Kay
NAME: UNKNOWN KNOWN BY 'KAMIKAZE' OR 'THE LIBERATOR' BOUNTY: $XXXXX WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE
I’m not always as active as I’d like to be, going months or a year without activity isn’t unusual because that’s life, ya know?
Links above will guide my mobile onlookers to my pages but I will list a quick blurb of rules, they’re pretty simple, and I’m not too fussed as long as the bullshit and drama is kept to a minimum, yeah?
Quick rules list, more detail linked above: No god-moding, minimize the drama, shipping is fun but don’t force it, I don’t have triggers, NSFW will be present–this IS your warning.

Pairing: Hawks x reader
Summary: In the end of the world, death around every corner means you don’t exactly get much time to pleasure yourself. Thankfully, someone you’ve had your eye on is more than willing to help
Warnings: smuttttt; edging; language; apocalypse AU; the 'monster cocks' that I found in a Spencer's the other day.
(I originally wanted to write this for an AIB character, but it's been a while since I've touched on Hawks so I literally just did it again with him.)
Tumblr media
Your fingers flit through a small sea of heavy fabrics, each embroidered with some colorful design of whatever video game or anime character had been trending when the world stopped.
Apparently, it had been Gojo, the white outlines of his hair a stark difference to the black of the hoodies base framework.
The material was heavy and warm, hiding your fingers from the damp chill in the air as you slid them underneath to find the price tag.
$49.99
The notion of one piece of clothing being nearly worth a young teens entire shift made your eyebrows tug upward.
Slipping the cloth off of its hanger, you gently ripped the price tag off, letting it fall to the floor as you snuck an arm into one of the sleeves.
Once upon a time, you would have cared about the littering, but it wasn’t as if rest of the mall didn’t look any different.
It was getting increasingly hard to care about things like that.
Instead, you focused on the comfort of your newfound treasure. Taking what you wanted was one of the few benefits you reaped in a place like this.
The mall doors had been hard to pry open, but a crowbar and a few minutes had done just fine. With a few days of peace before another game needing to be won, Mirko suggested some good old scavenging.
If anything, it was a lot better than sitting around and starving to death.
So you, her, and a few others had ended up here, each going their own way to cover the maximum amount of ground before darkness fell over this wasteland.
And while you didn’t exactly think Spencer’s would have the most survivalist-prone gear, it was one of the only stores in the North end of the mall that didn’t reek of rotting food.
You slipped through a wall of nose piercings, grabbing another thick hoody that sported a small drawing of Killua Zoldyck on the lower right corner.
Going towards the back of the store, you rummaged through the trays of snacks that could usually be found near the checkout desk. Even though they technically weren’t the most nutritious, sour gummies and sodas were known to have a better-than-average shelf life.
As you scoured over numerous packages and Best Buy dates, your gaze slipped a few feet to your left, eyes widening as a short chuckle bubbled up into your throat.
You walked over to a stand proudly boasting its abundance of ‘Creature Cocks’ and picked up a glow-in-the-dark Unicorn dildo.
It was nearly 9-inches.
Guess I could use that thing as a weapon if anything.
Snickering, you put the sparkly sex toy back and let your line of sight graze curiously over the smaller, more much conventional ones.
It had been a long time.
Which wasn’t surprising, since personal pleasure wasn’t exactly a priority during what many would define as the apocalypse.
Still…
Almost unconsciously, you reached out, fingers curling around a small toy that slightly resembled one you used to have.
“You know most of those don’t work anymore, right?”
“Shit!” You spun around in fear, locking eyes with the second male in your little group, Hawks. His lower lip was curled in amusement as you pressed a hand to your pounding chest. “You just gave me a heart attack, asshole!”
Regardless, nervous excitement brewed in your stomach. The feelings you harbored for the individual in front of you were dangerous and you knew that, but they were hard to ignore.
“Sorry, didn’t think I was interrupting anything,” his eyes flit down to the device in your hand, a feline-like smirk spreading across his features as he turned and began to leave. “But I’ll leave you to it.”
You dropped the toy, it’s clatter against the floor causing him to swivel his gaze back and you to internally cringe. “Batteries,” you swallowed, cheeks beginning to burn as you mentally fumbled for an excuse. “Some have batteries. I figured we’d run out at some point. For flashlights and stuff… ya know?”
Rambling. You’re rambling. Stop it.
Hawks cocked an eyebrow, stalking closer and quietly bending down to pick up the device. When he straightened, his body was a few centimeters from yours.
A contrasting scent of ashes and spice hit your senses as he lifted an arm to put the toy back, effectively caving you in on one side.
You wondered absentmindedly if he still would’ve smelt faintly of fire if he wasn’t stuck here, in a world surrounded by death and decay.
“If you really needed help that badly, you could’ve just asked,” he replied, wolfish grin doing nothing to quell the heat blooming into your face.
The meaning of his statement hit you like a train, the suggestion crawling below your abdomen to tease you with a flash of pleasure.
“I don’t… I wasn’t trying to-”
“But you want to,” you blinked, eyes wide in surprise as his arm snaked around your waist. “Besides, it might be dangerous to leave you all hot and bothered during an attack or something, don’t you think?”
“I’m not… I’m fine,” the reply definitely lacked the assertion you planned to give it, the idea of his skin against yours more than distracting.
He let out a raspy hum. “So it wouldn’t turn you on at all if I did something like this?”
The hand resting on your hip began moving downward, began toying with the top of your jeans.
Mindlessly, your hips lifted upwards, practically begging to meet his touch.
That smirk grew slightly, excitement flashing through brown irises. “Thought so.”
His hand slipped under the fabric, gently brushing against your clit. The contact made your body jerk in surprise, that soft heat slowly building as the touch moved in between your thighs.
“I-” One finger pushed between your folds, drawing a soft groan from you as he began to slowly thrust the digit in and out.
“I know, princess. Don’t worry, I’m gonna take care of you.”
His lips grazed over yours, gently stealing the sigh you gave in response to his movements. Blond hair tickled your face as he continued to whisper praises in your ear.
“So pretty,” his free arm linked under yours when your knees threatened to fall out from under you.“Do you know long I’ve wanted to do this? Wanted you?”
He watched as you continued to slip away in a pleasured haze, expression flashing for a mere second in adoration as his finger drew soft circles over your clit.
The feeling was overwhelming, the rest of the world melting away from the burning heat just begging to reach its climax.
Then it vanished, his touch slipping away as quickly as it came before he pressed his lips against yours, the moment lasting mere seconds but leaving you breathless.
“Why did you stop?” The desperation in your tone might have embarrassed you, if you cared.
“So needy,” he taunted. “I’ll fuck you properly when we have some more privacy.”
You almost reached out to stop him when he backed away, your pride saved as the rest of your group pushed through the isles.
“You guys okay? We’re gonna head back to the shelter soon.” Mirko stopped, eyes widening as she took in the area. “What are you doing back-“
“We thought there might be some batteries in here.” Hawks grabbed one of the toys. An effortless smile gracing his lips , he spun the package around so the label was visible. “30% percent off.”

tmnt 2003 headcanons: bedrooms
Leo:
Neat, organized and clean. The vibes are pristine
His room is a place where he can go to meditate or strategize so he has everything organized for maximum focus
I feel like he would have good lighting too lots of candles and soft lights
Leo doesn’t have a lot of clutter, but he has a shelf or desk where he’s got some sentimental items displayed, something like birthday gifts or old toys. He just likes having them out where he can see them because he’s a big softie.
His room smells nice I feel like he would have a diffuser or use excessive amounts of scented candles
And he has his weapons wall because also he’s a show off and it looks cool.
Donnie:
Organized chaos
His room is a disaster it is cluttered with half-finished projects, scrapped papers and blue-prints, tools and broken appliances/computers he found in the junkyard that he’s saving for spare parts. I think he keeps a lot of this stuff in the lab but it bleeds over into his bedroom.
But he knows where everything is
And if someone tries to clean it up for him he goes feral. That’s HIS mess.
His room isn’t dirty though it’s just cluttered
Not conducive to a relaxing environment, Donatello shame on you.
zero regard for interior design
Has a sick desk set up though. The only clean part of his room is the massive, cia level computer set up
Raph:
It isn’t clean, but it isn’t nearly as bad as Donnie or Mikey’s rooms. He’s got stuff thrown on the ground or just kind of tossed wherever but he has a lot less clutter than they do.
He does have a designated relaxation corner where he’s got a giant arm chair for reading, knitting or napping. It’s a torn up, probably broken, ugly recliner, but it’s comfy and he loves it. He’s also got a bookshelf and a basket of yarn/work-in-progress knitting projects.
but then the rest of his room looks like an apocalypse bunker he’s got workout equipment, a locker for his weapons and his bike riding gear.
I could see him having a few posters up
Mikey:
Exactly what you’d expect it to be. It’s a disaster.
every surface is covered with takeout containers
But his room has a very cozy vibe. He’s got tons of posters and lights taped to the walls. He’s always got music playing when he’s hanging out in there. I feel like he would have a little tv in his room so he can sit at the end of his bed and play video games.
He’s got so much random, weird decor that he found and kept because he thought it was funny
His video game and comic book collections are displayed on a shelf and that’s the only organized part of his room.
But it’s a hangout spot
His bed hasn’t been made in at least 5 years

RP partner search!
Short intro: Hi, I'm Emil! I use he/they pronouns. My sense of humor is stupid. I have adhd. I've been rping and writing short stories for about 4 years. I'm 14 and I really like to write! Boundaries: Please don't be weird. I don't do illegal ships, incest, pedophile, or anything gross like that. Maximum 18 please, rping with adults feels weird. Please don't get mad at me if I don't know about any media you want to roleplay about, I'll check it out if it sounds interesting but there's no guarantee that I know it. (Feel free to ask though! Just don't get mad if I don't.) You don't need to message with a prompt or idea, we can think of it together! (Or maybe my brain will come up with one.)
Writing style: I usually write in third person perspective and novel style. I like darker plots and some good old character angst but I do also do fluff. I mainly like to stick with ocs but I'll write characters from shows, books, anime, and video games if we both know who they are.
genres i like: futuristic society, fantasy, apocalypse, angst, slow-burn, historical fiction, enemies to lovers, slice of life, mystery, dark themes, psychological, horror, kid-fic, paranormal, sci-fi, romance, fluff, etc. (I'll go with any genre if the story behind it is good!)

Ooh okay a question for your au: what are Hana's and her fam/friends' favorite hobbies?? 👀
For Hana, Shelldon and Casey I have a post:
As for the rest:
Raph likes to knit, whenever she can find some yarn he will knit something. Mostly for the kids. (Also friendly reminder that Raoh is bigender and uses she/her/he/him interchangeably)
Cass likes to work out. Her end goal is to be stronger than her husband and lift him bridal style. So whenever Cass isnt on a mission or on some other duties you'll find her in the training room lifting weights and strengthening her body.
Venus likes to sing in her free time. She has a naturally harmonic voice and will often sing little songs, much to the delight of all the kids at the base. Most of Venus' songs are sung stories so the kids love to listen.
Mikey likes to meditate or do art with the limited supplies they have. They prioritize the little ones having fun first so all the art supplies go to the kids first before Mikey can grab any. He delights when someone asks for his opinion on their art or even to help with it. Even after years of war the art kid in Mikey never died
When Donnie isnt in his lab tinkering away you'll find him in the greenhouse. The greenhouse is an attempt of Donnie's to grow edible plants from leftover seeds and such. He loves botany and caring for the plants is very calming to him.
Draxum shares Donnie's hobby in the greenhouse. It's their little father-son thing :) Draxum also really likes to observe the sky (whenever it isnt raining acid or kraang loom over). The apocalypse has sparked a new found fascination with astral objects in Drax.
Since the world kinda sorta, actually a lot, ended and Splinter's telenovas aren't a thing anymore he likes to spend time with his grandkids. Doesnt matter how, he just likes to be around them and watch them grow. He also loooooves to tell them about his time as Lou Jitsu and all the movies he filmed.
Big Mama is a big reader. All of the archived books and such that Donnie and his team tried so carefully to preserve have been read by Mama at least once. She especially likes long books, something that occupies her mind for a long while so she doesnt have to think about strategies or fighting.
April likes to teach in her free time. Educating the younger generation is something very important to her, to make sure that these kids know that things have been different and can be different again. She also sees it as her duty to make sure that these kids understand each other and their heritage so that hopefully no one will discriminate against each other.
Leo.. Leo doesn't have hobbies... He is always so occupied with being a leader, trying to mend his mistake that.. there's no time to relax really. Sure he takes time to spend with his family and makes jokes every now and then but that's it. No more skateboarding, no more comic book reading, no tea drinking sessions, no swimming, no video games. Leo feels like as if the world rests on his shoulders and just a moment of not paying maximum attention could cost everything. Leo says he doesn't mind always being busy but he does and that makes him feel guilty. He doesnt feel like he deserves free time when the apocalypse is his fault

Renown and a Selection of my Inspirations
The final main class of the game is Renown, and in so explaining this I divulge that a massive influence were those console rpgs published through the mid 2000s, when I was a child. As Hero Quest and subsequently very modern rpg design sensibilities such as those thrust with Apocalypse styled games became expunged, I found the pearl of what I wanted the game to be inside.
youtube
I grew up with Disgaea 1 and 2 on the Playstation 2, though I would certainly prefer the latter for reasons which are outside the scope of this writing. On reflection, once that 'edge' was taken off my sardonics took center stage for the tone, and my memories of these games informed the way I described mechanics and the way lines and radii were implemented. Reviewing this, for the second revision of the game I may institute actual line and area rules for square based grids. I don't believe WotC and Paizo have any patent on their rules, so my own cribbing will be possible.
Tumblr media
I wonder if my love for jokes like these shouldn't fill a psychoanalyst's notebook. As an important diversion from Nippon Ichi's work, while I embraced the characters being essentially 'bad to the bone', I did take care for flavoring most dynamics in the group as non-hierarchical. It is fine and well for srpgs to have protagonists and mechanically underline a caste system. In my game, however, it is only enemies who are placed in strange and cruel scenarios for the sake of some triangulated benefit! For most characters...
youtube
Now here is an easily forgotten relic of the time. I surely forgot it-- only reminded incidentally by watching Hazel's video "Cozy Anime RPGs" (linked and timestamped to relevant section). Yet I was enamored by the elevator pitch and needed to capture that precise energy. A character so self absorbed and entitled that reality warps around their ego? The very highest echelons of represented power for a boutique game system like Mage: the Ascension handed as a justified-in-narrative accessibility option? Just handed off at the beginning of the game? This inspiration must be recaptured.
An aside which I place here because I fear there will be no better place for it in all the world. At the beginning of the game, after receiving your impetus to adventure, the following is said: "You took a small sum of money, hardly enough to be called pocket change really, and dashed outside". Subsequently, the protagonist begins the game with 9,999,999 G. This is the maximum amount of money you can hold and easily enough to purchase every piece of equipment in the game and plenty of consumables as well. Honestly ranks top 5 in my 'video games jokes' list alongside GLaDOS rebuking Wheatly for insulting Chel after having heckled her in a similar way throughout the entire front half of the game. Forgive my discretion.
This is where Renown comes from. The effect I hoped to get across is that for a character to reap the rewards of this 'awe inspiring' power, they had to invest disproportionately into it and its trees. This is why characters receive no Luck Counters until REN 2. The ideal is that a character which makes the most of this strange branch of mechanics have less access to the entire rest of the game, they are relying exclusively on the absurd benefits that come with being 'privileged'.
The Renown skill tree is larger than the rest, thirteen skills compared to the eight most get. This reinforces the opportunity for overinvestment and gives plenty of avenues to express the specific 'flavor' of entitlement, whereas most other specialists get their expression primarily through weapon customization. Many rules of the game-- if they do not exist expressly for the purpose-- are subverted by the various utilities Renown offers. The freedom of the privileges (easily compared to Paizo's recent implementation of lore) dovetails directly into contradiction of things like the turn order and limitations of the reserve inventory. The game will inevitably polarize around the utility of the privileged specialist, which I hope meets that design goal.
Now that we have the classes done away, I'll do some basic housecleaning and elaborate on some design prerogatives captured in the first chapter of the book.

[image description: A series of screenshots of dialogue from the video game Disco Elysium, the text of which is transcribed below.
Image 1: Kim Kitsuragi - "Well, detective, it appears you've solved the case..." The lieutenant looks around, writes something in his notebook, and turns to you...
"Of the locusts. For the missing locust case, which is a sub-case of the imaginary insect case. So at least *that's* going well."
You - "Stop being so sarcastic, Kim."
Kim Kitsuragi - "Oh, I'm not being sarcastic *at all*. We are making *real* progress here."
Rhetoric [Medium: Success] - When someone says they're not being sarcastic, it's usually a good sign that they're being *very* sarcastic.
Image 2: Electrochemistry [Medium: Success] - Cut this boring stuff off immediately. You know what this case is about!
You - "Are you *sure* there's not some sex-angle we should be considering?"
Kim Kitsuragi - "Going point. Martinaise is *famed* for its occult sex-murder rites. We'll get on it *immediately*."
Image 3: You - "It says the last maintenance was in '88."
Kim Kitsuragi - "That it does." The lieutenant peeks in. "I say -- let's brave it."
You - "Eighty-eight... This elevator was maintained a long time ago."
Kim Kitsuragi - "At the end of the last century." He nods. "Look on the bright side. If it fails, we will only sustain minor injuries -- I'm talking three, maybe four months in the hospital. Maximum five."
Image 4: Kim Kitsuragi - "Good. Now that's done. When do you think we will return to our impending apocalypse of a murder investigation?"

30% off
Pairing: Chishiya x reader
Summary: death around every corner means you don’t exactly get much time to pleasure yourself. Thankfully, someone you’ve had your eye on is more than willing to help
Warnings: smuttttt, edging, language
(yes, Spencers does have a line of monster dildos)
I may rewrite this with another character because I don’t know how many of you guys watch AIB
Also warning this was made in under 90 minutes at 2 in the morning. Enjoy
With a few days of peace before another game needing to be won, Usagi suggested some good old scavenging.
If anything, it was a lot better than sitting around and starving to death.
So you, her, and a few others from what the priorly known as The Beach, had ended up here, each going their own way to cover the maximum amount of ground before darkness fell over this wasteland.
“Shit!” You spun around in fear, locking eyes with the second male in your little group, Chishiya.
Stop it.
Chishiya cocked an eyebrow, stalking closer and quietly bending down to pick up the device. When he straightened, his body was a few centimeters from yours.
A contrasting scent of ashes and mint hit your senses as he lifted an arm to put the toy back, effectively caving you in on one side.
“Besides, it might be dangerous to leave you all hot and bothered during a game, don’t you think?”
You almost reached out to stop him from backing away when he backed away, your pride saved as Arisu, Usagi, and Kuina pushed through the isles.
“You guys okay? We’re gonna head back soon.” Arisu stopped, eyes widening as he took in the area. “What are you doing back-“
“We thought there might be some batteries in here.” Chishiya grabbed one of the toys. An effortless smile gracing his lips , he spun the package around so the label was visible. “30% percent off.”

Tim for the headcanon asks?
send a character's name to receive four different headcanons!
Headcanon A:  realistic
sex-favorable ace tim! i love this headcanon so much, partially because of my fondness of making every tma character some form of aspec but also because i love the idea of jon and tim bonding over being ace and talking about the differences in their subtypes (i have a fluid subtype headcanon for jon but it's usually either indifferent or averse).
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
tim is a popular/famous video game youtuber in his spare time. possibly unrealistic bc of melanie 'also famous youtuber' king but has infinite comedic potential. tim starts one of his streams in s2 like 'hey guys, it's tim here, you know what's wild today my boss accused me of murder. the only murder i'm guilty of is this level i'm about to kill. like and subscribe!'
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
tim and jon dated pre-archives and in season one, and their relationship slowly started to fall apart in season two and finally broke in mag065 binary. for maximum pain potential, jon has a key to tim's house and tim catches him sneaking around inside rather than just standing outside watching it. tim has to change his locks. after binary, tim goes home and scrubs every lingering bit of jon from his life. (my very first jontim fic was based around this concept bc i only know pain and suffering ;___;)
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
tim actually survived the unknowing and was out living his best life somewhere warm and sunny when the apocalypse hit. he got sucked into a domain but now that the fears are gone he's back out and fine and happy :)

MCOC Wishlist Blog Character Spotlight KNULL
by Marco “Prophet of Knull” Garcia ed. Other Gabe
BACKGROUND
Knull is an ancient malevolent deity whose existence predates the universe itself, and was originally content to drift through the endless abyss that existed before time.
He used his weapon, the Necrosword, to combat the Celestials who disturbed his darkness. With this sword Knull severed the head of a Celestial. That head is now Knowhere, a popularly-known Marvel location and a battle zone in the Marvel Contest of Champions Battlerealm.
Wanting an army, Knull then constructed the aliens we all know, love, and sometimes hate, the Klyntar race of gooey symbiotic aliens.¹ Later, after a debacle with the Mighty Thor, the symbiotes rebelled against their “God” and trapped him on a desolate planet, later known as Klyntar. There the God of Symbiotes waits and plans his escape, hoping to one day lay waste and bring Darkness to the universe.
“The End is near. God is coming….”
Tumblr media
Editor’s note: the next several sections are designed to familiarize the reader with Knull’s worthiness to be featured in a video game, compared with the myriad other Marvel characters from whom Kabam could choose.
POPULARITY
Technically, Knull has been around since 2013, and appeared in Thor: God of Thunder Vol.1 #6 by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic, as he was a shadowed figure from whom Gorr the God Butcher steals All-Black the Necrosword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was then revealed by name by his creators in Venom Vol. 4 #3 by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman in 2018.
Knull has had huge fan buzz around him since his inception and his name is only getting bigger. Despite fewer than a dozen appearances initially, Knull headlined the King in Black line-wide event that began in December 2020, from the minds of Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman.
Tumblr media
Editor’s note: Arguably named after Knull, the King in Black initial release was considered critically to be a high-stakes situation, due to the perceived hype. Its comics made regular appearances in bestseller lists after the event launched, suggesting the Knull name and story, in conjunction with the strength of his creators’ reputations, was strong enough to sell books. Overall the King in Black arc has also gotten good critical reviews.
KNULL AS MATERIAL FOR OUR MARVEL GAME
Editor’s note: these character spotlights usually explore several factors to determine whether it is reasonable to expect Kabam to seriously consider the character as a candidate for addition to Marvel Contest of Champions. Among these factors are inclusion in other similarly-marketed games, mainstreaming in comics and other media, mentions in MCOC lore, Kabam conversation, or community rumors, and pure hype among summoners.
OTHER MARVEL GAMES
Knull has been featured in other games already: first in the Spider-Man Unlimited mobile app,² then in Marvel Future Fight. In Marvel Puzzle Quest, Knull was originally only part of the backstory description of the playable Prophet Carnage character, but was eventually released in his own right in May 2021.
KNULL AND THE BATTLEREALM
Arguably no direct mention of Knull has happened in either [Marvel Contest of Champions or Marvel Realm of Champions], but it can be said he was alluded to in the motion comic that accompanied the release of Cosmic Ghost Rider and Red Goblin in October 2020.
Then, when story mode Act 7 was released in December 2020, this dialogue was revealed, which has been strongly speculated to be a reference to Knull.
CLAIM TO FAME: KNULL IN OTHER MEDIA
Knull has not enjoyed a reference in any Marvel Cinematic Universe content to date. Hel has only been mentioned in the Disney XD cartoon Spider-Man: Maximum Venom with a retelling loosely based on his comic book origins.
UNIQUE WAYS KNULL COULD FIT INTO THE MCOC META
Knull could be a massive boost (editor’s note: synergy hub) to many Symbiote champions or champions in general. I see him as a Cosmic [based on what I was told by co-creator Ryan Stegman], with massive damage. Being the creator of symbiotes, Knull could outfit any [non-#Symbiote] champ with a “Klyntar symbiote” of their own to enhance their kit or base numbers. He could also operate with #Symbiote champs similarly to the way Apocalypse enhances Mutant champs. He could also work as a counter to Symbiotes or anyone who would have ever been bonded to a Klyntar before in canon, which would include most of the Spider-Fam!
Knull’s kit could alternately introduce a #Codex tag to add to certain non-#Spiderverse Hero champs who have famously bonded to symbiotes (paging Red Hulk or even Deadpool).³
A PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN?
No mention of Knull ever came out of the Kabam team or anyone related to MCOC. Then again, Kabam never likes to tease big-name additions like Knull would be. Mid-September 2021, one data miner claimed that Knull is forthcoming.
WHAT DO SUMMONERS THINK?
Summoners seem to dig Knull. He was the winner of the first Tournament  of Battlerealm Future, March Addness 2020, which was co-hosted by MCOC Wishlist creator Other MCOC Gabe and Unofficial MCOC Podcast veteran UMCOC Deacon on Twitter. The tournament pitted hundreds of characters against one another for votes from Summoners expressing who they would prefer to enter Marvel Contest of Champions. He cleaned house throughout most of the tournament, earning his addition to the MCOC Wishlist, where he has risen into the top 50 most wanted champions.
Due to recent ramblings by the author, and the introduction of Red Goblin to Marvel Contest of Champions, people have warmed up to the idea that Knull might actually be coming to the contest. (Even community-renowned comics expert CTMCOC agrees!)
Once below rank 250 on the MCOC Wishlist, Knull now stands as the #31 most-wanted champ, with over 550 Summoner upvotes as of this writing.
KNULL: CHAMPION BUILD IDEAS
PROBABLE CLASS
As mentioned above, Knull is a canonically cosmic entity or deity who purports to predate the universe itself. This forms a strong case for the MCOC Cosmic class of champions.
POSSIBLE ABILITIES
Like many Cosmic champs’ builds, I can see his relying on many Active Buffs with massive damage and defensive potential due to Symbiotic Armor. Perhaps as Knull collects Codices, he gets stronger and this mechanic could be used in game as persistent charges. The more Codices he gathers, the more potent his Buffs could become. He could utilize Fury, Aptitude, Armor, Cruelty, Precision, and other critical-damage-enhancing Buffs. Bleed and Armor Break Debuffs are likely as Knull breaks down his enemies with bloodthirsty ferocity.
POSSIBLE SYNERGIES
Knull's status as the God of the Klyntar could enhance all #Symbiote champions just as Apocalypse does for Mutants.
Venom could get a unique synergy called “Daddy Issues,” allowing Venom a 2% attack boost for every Buff converted on his sp2 but as passive Fury stacks. I imagine Carnage with something like a “Prophet of Knull” Synergy allowing 95% resistance to incinerate effects, allowing him to heal from Incinerates, since Carnage has no weakness to fire when he is operating as Knull’s prophet in the comics.
Knull could also be built to spend Persistent Charges to enhance #Symbiote champions in order to increase their stats and enhance their buffs.
It would also be clever to have a Synergy with Void called “Knull and Void” allowing Void access to a non-stacking Armor Break Debuff, such as on his Heavy Attack. More debuffs for Void would be devastating.
Knull could also enjoy a basic “Enemies” synergy with Thor and Silver Surfer. A great champ to release in conjunction with Knull would be Gorr the God-Butcher, a notable Thor villain, played by Christian Bale in Thor: Love and Thunder, and the other best-known wielder of All-Black the Necrosword.
•.•.•
Editor’s note: this concludes Marco’s commentary and notes on Knull as a potential champion. Anyone tracking the conversation about future champs knows that the name of Knull comes up frequently among Summoners, and his rise in every voting event in the community tends to support the notion he is greatly demanded by Summoners and would make an excellent addition to the game.
This article was originally drafted almost entirely in late 2020, and has been dug up and completed in September 2021 after MCOC Trucos released a purportedly datamined leak suggesting Knull “is Coming” to Marvel Contest of Champions in October 2021. -OG
________
NOTES 1. The Klyntar alien race is most popularly represented by Venom, and his fellow Klyntar aliens Carnage, Scream, and the other names associated with their stories of superhuman symbiosis and “Venomization.”  2. Spider-Man Unlimited was well ahead of the curve announcing Knull for a video game in 2018. It got there by virtue of attempting to release almost every noteworthy Spider- and symbiote character as playable video game characters. Knull was not yet a character most people would consider important for gaming. 3. A codex (pl. codices) is the term for the biological traces a Klyntar symbiote leaves in its host’s system after separating from that host.

My Top 30 Favorite Video Games
Inspired by @ultraericthered’s Top 30 Favorite Anime post.
Although I’m doing mine in countdown form, ‘cause it’s more fun that way!
30. Super Mario Bros. - Arguably the first “blockbuster” game to be released, not only does Super Mario Bros. still hold up over 35 years later but it’s a gift that keeps on giving with how many different incarnations, remixes, fan games using its assets, etc. that we have now.
29. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - OBJECTION! While I cherish the entire original Phoenix Wright trilogy of the Ace Attorney franchise, I’ll always be the most partial to the original outing. The sheer audacity and hilarity of the concept, which is grounded by endearing characters and compelling mysteries, shines brilliantly in this little, easily accessible game.
28. Trigger Happy Havoc: Danganronpa - While similar in many ways to Ace Attorney, Danganronpa boasts a variety of more actual gameplay than mere point-and-click text scrolling. But what really makes this stand out, beyond gameplay or even the strength of its concept, story and characters, is the atmosphere it creates. For good and for ill, traversing the pristine, neon-lit hallways of the abandoned Hopes Peak Academy looking for clues as I’m forced to play by Monokuma’s twisted rules is an experience that will stay with me forever.
27. Star Fox 64 - Beyond all the entertainment this game provides through memes, it’s really just a fun, reasonably simple but just moderately complicated enough game that’s accessible to any player even if they usually don’t go for aerial shooters. It’s also one of the earliest console games that I ever played, so of course it’s going to hold a special place in my heart.
26. Batman: Arkham City - It’s an impressive feat when an open world game can still feel so claustrophobic in all the right ways, and that’s what Arkham City accomplishes. This game is essentially The Dark Knight to Arkham Asylum’s Batman Begins, escalating the action, suspense and sheer Batman-ness, providing unlimited opportunities to enjoy yourself playing as Gotham’s defender and facing down the greatest Rogues Gallery in comic book history.
25. Red Dead Redemption - Look, I know that Red Dead Redemption 2 is technically the superior game. But its complicated story, sprawling cast of characters, and vast canvas of a world can be pretty daunting, whereas I feel like the original Red Dead Redemption struck a much better balance. Allowing open world freedom within the confines of the straight-forward story of John Marston’s redemption really makes you feel like you’re in an old Western film, and the way that choices you make as a player impact the way that film ultimately turns out is one of the strongest arguments for video games being worthy of consideration as true art.
24. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - So, ten years ago an open world adventure video game series releases its fifth entry...and to this day, we’ve had no sixth, in favor of expansions and updated re-releases of said fifth entry. But that’s not a sign of laziness; it’s a sign the developers know they hit such a peak in quality that they have no need to rush anything further out the gate, as Skyrim is a gift that keeps on giving. Addictive in how unlimited in possibilities it is, with each playthrough never being the same as the one before, Skyrim is a gaming masterpiece that I don’t think I’m going to get bored with playing anytime soon.
23. Super Paper Mario - This may be an unpopular opinion, but I vastly prefer this game’s action-platform-RPG hybrid gameplay style to the prior installments’ traditional turn-based RPG style, which feels more at home in stuff like Super Mario RPG and the Mario & Luigi series. But gameplay aside, I think this has the strongest story of any Mario game, trading in the usual “save the kingdom/princess” fare for saving all of reality, with legitimate emotion and drama and even character development. It’s one of the Wii’s shining gems, to be sure.
22. Epic Mickey - This game’s graphics are by and large unremarkable, its gameplay is fraught with issues (that camera is unforgivable), and it’s nowhere close to the best on its system or genre. But Epic Mickey is a case study in where the effort put into crafting the game’s world and story, not to mention the obvious love and respect for the material being worked with, pays off. Any Disney fan will love this game for its story, which puts Mickey front and center as an actual character rather than a mascot and dives deep into his history as he meets his “half-brother” Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and its mystical, unique atmosphere - what the graphics can’t deliver, the fucking music more than makes up for. All of the game’s flaws mean nothing compared to the sheer heart on display, and I treasure it greatly as a result.
21. Batman: Arkham Asylum - I already mentioned that Arkham City is the superior game, but as was the case with Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, personal preference strikes again. The simpler story and narrower confines of Arkham Asylum just appeal to me slightly more, and I feel like the borderline horror atmosphere this game has could never fully be replicated by all of its sequels and spin-offs. Also, you can play as the Joker in this. WIN.
20. Metal Gear Solid - And on the subject of Arkham Asylum, it owes much to this game, which created the template of a lone badass hero having to use stealth and weaponry to liberate a government-owned island from the lunatic terrorists that have taken over. Hideo Kojima famously never wanted this game to have any sequels, and I can definitely see his point, as it’s a complete and wholly satisfying experience in of itself and I don’t feel like it’s ever been topped. At the very least, it’s certainly the most enjoyable of the series to me.
19. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Also, speaking of “borderline horror atmosphere”, we have the freakiest game that the Legend of Zelda series ever put out. What was supposed to just be a gaiden to Ocarina of Time mutated into this beautiful monstrosity that’s become just as iconic. Nobody who plays this game is ever going to forget that fucking moon and all the constant jumping back and forth in time across three days as you try to prevent the apocalypse of Termina. It’s the kind of gaming trauma that’s well worth experiencing.
18. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories - Like Majora’s Mask, this game is a case study where you can take a bunch of recycled assets and gameplay, and then make something unique from it if you have a well-crafted story with a dark and disturbing atmosphere. It’s hard to experience or appreciate the transition between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II without playing this midquel, which takes the narrative and characters to deeper levels without being pretentious about it and sets the stage for the proper console sequel perfectly. And if you can’t get into it being on Gameboy Advance, then just play the PS2 remake (which is arguably the superior version anyway) and you’re good! Just...don’t mind the cards, OK?
17. Sonic CD - And now we have another game about jumping back and forth through time to prevent an apocalypse! See the common threads at play here by this point? Sonic the Hedgehog is at his best in 2D gameplay, and I personally enjoy this the best out of all the 2D games in the series. As obscure as the Sega CD was as a system, it was powerful enough to take the blue blur’s speed to its maximum level, set alongside beautiful graphics and a kick-ass soundtrack (well, two different kick-ass soundtracks; and I actually prefer the US one).
16. Pokemon Black & White - While there were advancements made to story and graphics and gameplay features in the third and fourth generations of the Pokemon series, nothing felt as truly ground-breaking as the second generation games until the fifth gen with its Black & White games. This was arguably the game series’ peak in quality on all fronts, but its specifically the story that lands it on this list, as its well-written and paced, subverts many formulaic elements from the previous games, is set in one of the most unique regions in the Pokemon world, and has a timeless message that has only grown more relevant with age.
15. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - The whole series could really go here, but fortunately the most recent entry is the perfect embodiment of said series, with every playable character there’s ever been and then some. The sheer variety is unmatched by any other fighting game out there, and its story mode, “World of Light”, is quite possibly the greatest video game crossover in history given how many characters are featured as both fighters and spirits.
14. Super Mario 64 - I’m pretty sure this game used to be higher in my favor, but replaying it on the Nintendo Switch recently has made me aware of how, as the first game on the Nintendo 64 and the first 3D platformer, it’s poorly aged in several areas. However, I must stress that it is still a very good game. The fun of going to the various worlds within paintings in Peach’s Castle hasn’t changed, nor has how smoothly and seamlessly Mario managed to make the jump from 2D to 3D. Just like Super Mario Bros., the number of games that owe something to this one is too great to count, and that’s an achievement that remains timeless.
13. Dark Chronicle - Also known as Dark Cloud 2. I hadn’t heard a damn thing about this game before renting it on a whim many years ago, and I was caught off guard by just how good it was. It’s got a simple but effective story and likable characters, a timeless atmosphere, beautifully cel-shaded graphics, dungeon-crawling gameplay, action-RPG combat gameplay, literal world-building gameplay, and even a fishing minigame! This game can actually stand besides the Zelda series without shame; it’s truly an underrated gem.
12. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Oh, speaking of Zelda, this game goes full Lord of the Rings-style epic fantasy with it and it is glorious. Between the near perfect gameplay, beautiful 3D graphics, and one of the best stories in the series (with one of the best characters: Midna), Twilight Princess’ most prevalent complaint from critics all the way up to its own developers is that it wasn’t even MORE expansive and awesome given how long it was hyped, and if that’s the biggest issue with the game then I’d say it’s in pretty good shape.
11. Super Mario Galaxy - Super Mario 64 may be held back a little by how its aged, but no such thing is holding back Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario Odyssey might be as good or possibly even better, but I just don’t hold the same feelings of amazement and respect toward it that I do for this game. From the blitzkrieg-style attack on the Mushroom Kingdom by Bowser to the discovery of Rosalina’s space station, this game had me hooked from the first few minutes, especially with it blaring that awesome orchestral score the whole way through. To this day, I maintain that this is Mario’s greatest 3D adventure. It’s simply magnificent.
10. Final Fantasy X - Ha! See what I did there? This game has caught flak for some of the awkwardness that comes from being the first fully 3D entry in the series, but I think that’s tantamount to nitpicking when compared to all it does right. To me, this was the last really good installment of the main Final Fantasy series, with a story and world so brilliantly developed that the game earned the immediate breakthrough success and acclaim that it found in its native Japan. 20 years later and, as the HD remaster has shown, it still holds up as one of the most engaging JRPG experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of having.
9. Banjo-Kazooie - At the time, this was basically Rare’s copycat version of Super Mario 64, although considered about as good. Now, however, there’s a difference: the aging issues I mentioned for Super Mario 64 don’t apply for Banjo-Kazooie. Whether replaying it on the Nintendo 64 or on whichever Xbox you’ve got, this game is still just as fun, imaginative and hilarious now as it was back then. It’s quite possibly the greatest 3D platformer ever made.
8. Pokemon Crystal - The definitive edition of the Gold & Silver games of Pokemon’s second generation, taking what was already a phenomenal advancement and improvement to the first generation and making it even better with additional features such as the ability to play as a girl for the first time and a more clearly defined storyline centered around the legendary Pokemon featured on the game’s box art. Pokemon had been written off as just a passing fad up until this point. This was when its staying power as a video game juggernaut was proven.
7. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Talk about a win right out of the gate for the Nintendo Switch! This game returns the Legend of Zelda series to its roots while also applying all that has been made possible in video games since the original game’s release, and the result is an enthralling, addictive, open world masterpiece that has set a new standard of quality for both the Zelda series and for many modern video games in general.
6. Kingdom Hearts II - The Final Mix edition to be precise, although in this day and age that’s basically the only edition people are playing anyway. This game is the apotheosis of Kingdom Hearts as both a video game series and as a concept; filled to the brim with Disney magic and Square Enix RPG expertise and paired with some of the most refined action-based gameplay there is. And when it comes to bringing the original Kingdom Hearts trilogy’s story to a close, does this game ever stick the landing. The series could have ended right here and I would have been completely satisfied (and its reputation would be a lot better off, too!)
5. Pokemon Yellow - While I maintain that this game, the definitive edition of the original first generation Pokemon games, still holds up as fun to play even now, I’ll admit that it’s pure bias that it ranks so high. It was the first proper video game I ever played, there was no way I was leaving it off the top 5! Its blissful nostalgic atmosphere is always such a delight to return to.
4. Banjo-Tooie - Remember when I said Banjo-Kazooie was “quite possibly the greatest 3D platformer ever made”? The “quite possibly” is because its in stiff competition with its own sequel! And personally, I’m in Banjo-Tooie’s corner; something about how inter-connected its worlds are and the addition of so many things to do all while maintaining your full moveset from the original game is just beautiful to me. Both it and its predecessor are like obstacle courses that I never tire of running through, which is the hallmark of brilliant game design.
3. Kingdom Hearts - Another case where the sequel may be the superior game, but my own personal preference leans toward the original. And in this case, it’s a highly personal preference: this game and my memories of playing it for the first time are so very dear to me. The characters and worlds of Disney put into an epic crossover RPG was like a dream come true for me and no matter how far the series it spawned has deteriorated, nothing can detract from the magic of this game. It’s got a certain, indescribable feel and atmosphere that’s never truly been replicated, and that feel and atmosphere still holds up whenever I revisit it. The gameplay may not be the best, particularly when compared to Kingdom Hearts II’s, but the charm of the story and the characters and the world and the very concept more than makes up for that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s one of Disney and Square’s greatest masterpieces.
2. Final Fantasy VII - I was aware of the hype this game got and was totally ready to call it overrated, but damn it, it got me! I don’t know what it is about this game with its blocky early 3D graphics, poor sound quality to its excellent soundtrack, and frequently mistranslated script that proved to be so gripping and enjoyable to play through, but man did it ever Limit Break its way into my heart. This is considered a JRPG classic for a damn good reason.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Do I really need to explain this one? It’s famous for being frequently cited as one of the greatest video games ever made, and like Final Fantasy VII, its hype is well-deserved and totally justified. Whether you’re playing it on the Nintendo 64, the Gamecube, the Wii, the 3DS, and hopefully the Nintendo Switch in the future, there is a magic quality to this game that permeates through every step you take in its fully 3D world. It’s a triumph that has stood the test of time, cementing the Zelda series as truly legendary.

vAfter a fun discussion with @ashallter on Steam, I now have a Fallout 4 mod concept: Fists Galore! (yes, the exclamation mark is part of the name.) The subititle? A Mod For Maximum Punchination.
The slogan? “For when you just don’t have enough ways to punch Raiders in the face.” Tired of using those metal Knuckles and your illegally-modified Boxing Gloves on only one hand? Use some common sense, slip on another one, and go ham! Need to reduce a Super Mutant’s skull to dust? Pull on Dual Power Fists and tear that big green galoot a structurally superfluous new behind! What’s more, you can also punch in different ways, including those that are certainly frowned upon by gentlemanly combatants! This is the post-apocalypse, after all! Rules are for bleeders! Stun your unsuspecting foe with a haymaker to the stomach, then take a page out of the really short clown from Killer Klownz from Outer Space and quite literally knock their block off with a mean uppercut! Looking to pay tribute to another video game? Call upon the power, flexibility, and ego of Johnny Cage, and do the splits with pizzazz as you deck your enemy right in the bollocks! Just be careful, as like when Mr. Cage himself does it, it’s worthless on foes who don’t have those twin dangly bits. But that’s not all! There’s also what would most likely be the main draw of this wonderful modification to your post-nuclear fallout experience: the addition of Power Fists from other games in the Fallout series, including the iconic, original BeatCo Big Frigger from the first two games! And where the Big Frigger goes, the almighty Mega Power Fist is not far behind! What’s more, you can get your hands on the 3rd game’s original pneumatic Power Fist, and if you can track down the poor sap who died carrying the blueprints, you can upgrade that sucker into your very own FSGv-118b Shocker glove, better simply known as The Shocker! Looking for something that punches a little faster? Not to worry, friend, because once you find the poor trader who tried to bring their wares from the Capital Wasteland to the Commonwealth, you can get yourself a Saturnite Power Fist! Find some thermite, and you can Superheat it! Still not enough for ya? Well, you’re in luck- the mod would ALSO add new Power Fist modifications! The only thing that says “buzz off” more than a hydraulic Power Fist to the face is one that strikes multiple times with a single swing! Upgrade that sucker enough and pump up your Strength and Agility far enough, and you could potentially do to a Super Mutant Behemoth what Iron Man did to the Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron- but far, far deadlier. Telling your foe to go to sleep over and over just got a whole new meaning. And who cares if it isn’t lore-friendly- we never planned for that in the first place! The Mega Power Fist from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is here, too!
We’d include the HERAKLES Power Fist from Van Buren as well, but sadly, that can’t possibly happen, seeing as we never got to find out what it would look like. oh, how I wish I could actually make this. Ah well, I’m sure the modding community would be happy to help! Edit: Oh, and it would also add a tire and a traffic cone as hats you could wear. Because screw it, it’s my mod concept, and I’ll add silly unrelated things to it if I want to.
