Posting here in case any of you didn't see Maximilian's story on Instagram, but he just started a GoFundMe after his partner of two years (that was at the Octopunk event too, letting Maximilian sing love songs to him) stole his identity and drove his credit down 200 points, then broke up with him a few weeks ago. It's been a rough go of it for our Nines, but if any of you can support, here is the link and screenshot of the post.

Detroit Reawakening is an upcoming short Reed900 Fan film produced by Octopunk Media, and takes place in the video game world of Detroit Become Human. It is a companion piece to our previous film, Detroit Evolution.

Detroit Reawakening tells the origin story of a newly awakened android, Nines, and his enemies-to-lovers journey with his human partner, Detective Gavin Reed. Although lovers in the present, Gavin and Nines nostalgically reflect on their rocky early history, and the day that changed everything in their relationship. 

Much like its predecessor Detroit Evolution, this short film will center a gay asexual romance from queer own-voices creators, and we will bring back our core cast from Detroit Evolution. For those who have been here since the beginning, Detroit Reawakening is also a reclamation and retelling of our first short film, Detroit Awakening.

reawakening was an absolute treat to watch, waiting for it to come out was so worth it ! i'm really sad that we won't be getting any more reed900 movies from octopunk anymore, but i'll definitely be rewatching reawakening and evolution til the day i drop HSHAHAHA

Absolutely loved seeing the angst and hostility between Gavin and Nines in the past like it's just so lovely to see how far they've come, seeing how well Maximilian has grown into the character, and also getting to see Chris as Gavin in this setting like I'm sorry I've no coherent thought at the moment I'm just so overwhelmed and happy that it's come full circle and it's beautiful
