Eu terminei a primeira temporada de "enrolados outra vez", e simplesmente a d o r e i !!

Pontos que gostaria de elogiar:

O primeiro detalhe são as personalidades dos pais da Rapunzel, achei eles cheios de camadas. A mãe sendo sábia e quem apoia os sonhos da filha e por outro lado, um pai traumatizado que só não quer perder sua filha de novo (um pai babão tbm), achei ambas relações muito bem construídas.

Segundo que a Rapunzel teve um desenvolvimento muito bom de ver, adicionou coisas novas sem perder a essência, fora que ela tbm comete erros e n é só a "perfeitinha". Esse ponto serve para o José (embora eu quisesse mais desenvolvimento dele..), e a Cassandra (amo muito o tipo de perso que ela é, totalmente humana!)

A amizade da cass com a raps é linda, mas eu queria ter visto elas se conhecendo. Contudo isso não tira o brilho delas duas, acho fofo como ambas se respeitam e fazem de tudo pela outra.

Algumas coisas foram respondidas no último ep, mas ainda falta bastante coisa, ta em aberto e sem profundidade ���� (vamos pra segunda temporada)

O max teve destaque, e o pascal tbm, boatos de que eu chorei nos eps deles...

Relação de sogro e genro de milhões? Temos aqui tbm!!

Enfim, achei tudo ótimo, não perfeito, mas como fã do filme, a série entrega bastante!! Fora que só a relação do José com a Rapunzel é um ponto muito forte e POSITIVO na série, eles são a coisa mais perfeita!! A relação deles é tão pura e bela a a a a a a

I forget, is it snippet wednesday or full chapter wednesday today?

it is snippet Wednesday, and I did post one last night, but after the day we've alll had .. fuck it, lets have another one.

this one will also be heavily edited before it makes it's way to ao3, so that's exciting! yay for seeing the process!

“You can talk to me,” Max murmurs, voice so endearingly awkward and unsure. “If you want. I—I’ll listen.” 

He’s so nice. He’s always so nice, always just wants to be kind to him, but Charles doesn’t think he deserves it. 

“Why would you do that for me?” Charles asks, sniffling loudly. 

It’s pathetic. He’s pathetic. 

“You know why,” Max answers, a little helplessly. 

Charles’ heart squeezes, so painfully it makes him whimper. He doesn’t deserve this. He doesn’t deserve Max, and his unwavering loyalty, his dedication to keeping Charles safe even when he was being such a dick. He definitely doesn’t deserve to still have Max’s love, even when Charles can give him nothing back.

“I’m sorry,” Charles says, but it comes out almost as a sob. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I’ve been so mean to you and now you’re stuck with me forever and I can’t even . . .” 

“Stuck?” Max asks, clearly bewildered. Charles doesn’t blame him—he’s just as confused at his own behaviour. It makes him cry harder, because Max is being so gentle, even though Charles is acting crazy. “What on Earth makes you think I feel stuck? If anything, you’re the one stuck with me.” 

“You are,” Charles cries, fists tightening in Max’s shirt. “You’re so nice, and you always defend me, even though Lando was right, because I can’t make any food and you always have to do it and maybe I can’t have kids but everyone keeps telling me that you want them! I’ve ruined everything. I ruined your life, and my life, and what if I can’t even win the Championship? What if I’m not good enough? And—and—Kelly! What about Kelly? Jean-Luc is here, all the time, and not with Kelly and Penelope and it’s all my fault, I’m so stupid, I don’t know why all of you would do this for me! I’m not worth it, I’m not, Max, I’m so stupid.” 

Max rubs gentle, soothing circles on his back as Charles sobs desperately into his neck. He doesn’t even know where half of that came from, which just makes him cry more. 

What is he even saying? What is he talking about? He really is so fucking stupid—

“You’re not stupid,” Max whispers fervently. “Don’t even say that. You’ve been put in an awful situation and you tried to make the best of it. That doesn’t make you stupid.” 

Charles sobs loudly, rubbing his wet face against Max’s shirt. 

“Don’t be nice to me,” Charles whispers desperately. “I don’t deserve for you to be nice to me.”

There’s a little orange cat in the corner of the town square. Max bends to say hello, stretching his fingers for it to sniff at. The cat rubs its warm head against his palm, making a small mewing sound, and Max looks up to see Daniel standing there with his hand out.

“Come on,” he says. “I found us a great spot.”

Max helps him push the boat out from the shore, the two of them laughing as they get it going and scramble to jump in. Daniel rows them out to the middle of the lake and they float there, watching the sun set over the castle.

Max had only seen castles like that in books before; he spent half the afternoon leading Daniel all around the wall of it, pointing out the turrets and the watchtowers and the crenellations, exclaiming over the stone lions, pretending to roar beside them.

“That mane of yours,” Daniel had said, shaking his head.

The sun has set, the sky heavy purple with twilight. 

“Any minute now,” Daniel says, eyebrows lifting, and something inside Max is fluttering with anticipation.

As they watch, a single lantern floats up from the castle. Max holds his breath, and after a moment others rise to join it, like a flurry of leaves lifted by the wind.

Soon every part of the sky seems to be filled with lanterns, every way Max cranes to look.

“When I was little I always thought these were for me,” he tells Daniel, his head tipped right back.

“Bit conceited,” Daniel says, and when Max turns to grin at him he’s pulling a lantern out from under the seat. “Happy birthday, Max,” he says.

Daniel can’t get the flint to strike, a shake in his hand, so Max helps him, and they light it together, release it into the sky.

Max can’t believe it. When he was in the tower he could never have imagined this, the smooth stretch of the lake, their small bright light lifting with all the others. But the tower seems so far away, his father – he doesn’t want to think about that now.

Max thinks about what he’s feeling: about the shape of Daniel curled up sleeping on the other side of the campfire, the way he looked when Max’s hair started to glow underwater, his face. How his voice cracks when he sings; how he’s the only person to ever show Max anything under the sky.

“Daniel,” Max says, and moves, lurching forward so quickly that he almost capsizes the boat.

“Steady!”

Daniel throws his arms out to balance them, water lapping roughly up their sides then gentling. “There we go,” he says. “Stable as a table.”

Max is on his knees on the wooden slats of the boat. His cheeks are hot.

“Thank you for showing me this,” he says.

Daniel’s shoulder lifts, a small movement. “You’re welcome.” Daniel’s face always makes so many expressions, but now he’s just looking at Max, eyes warm and dark.

“Daniel,” Max says again. He leans in – slowly, this time – and Daniel’s leaning too, the boat perfectly balanced on the water, a thousand soft lights perfect in the sky around them, Daniel’s mouth fitting against his, Daniel’s hands in the weight of his hair, Max’s heart shining like a lantern.

I had such a good time at Bold Matsuri this year with my boothmates at @lovechucreations ! This was our booth set up. We just keep getting more and more creative with how we set this baby up! I saw a ton of awesome cosplayers this year, I wasn't able to grab their @'s, but you all look amazing!! (The blank spot in the corner was for my new SatoSugu print, btw not a single purchase on it, so give it some love when it drops in the store :) )

I have more, but it wouldn't let me post any more photos! By the way, that Flynn Rider was actually so sweet, and we both went silly talking about how Tangled is our comfort movie. There were so many awesome, awesome experiences!

I love boothing so that we can interact with the community and get to talk to wonderful people each and every year!
