Alix Kubdel and Max Kanté Redesign

(I didn't detail their watch because it's a nightmare, but it looks the same as it does in canon)

Alix's redesign was a lot of fun to do, especially because I wanted to portray the whole "tomboy" look they have in canon without it being very stereotypical AFAB Enby

Alix's hair is naturally brown, shaved on the side, and they dye it pink

Their jean jacket has their sexuality and gender pins (asexual, aromantic, and non-binary) because they're out and proud

The outfit itself is fairly simple because Alix doesn't care enough to put much effort into it, so just a black shirt and faded gray jeans work for them

Like in canon she's aromantic, but like Max I made her aroace instead as well as non-binary who uses mostly they/them but doesn't mind she/her

I've changed their ethnicity to being Moroccan and French because of some issues revolving around what the creator has stated (I won't go into detail, but long story short: he does shit without doing proper research)

So Max was one of the characters I changed A LOT with really the only thing staying the same being its personality

First up, I gave it vitiligo because I wanted to add more representation and Max was one of the few characters who this worked with without feeling forced

Second, I changed its hairstyle and the color, this was because the original just didn't look great and initially the black was an accident because I forgot what color Max's hair was but it worked so I kept it

I changed its style of clothes, giving it a trench coat because I wanted to lean into the whole "mad scientist" part of its personality in its outfit and a red trench coat helped with that

Max, like in canon, is asexual but I've also made it aromantic and agender, using solely it/its pronouns, and I've kept its ethnicity being Malian

If you've read its backstory you'll know that it and Kim are in a romantic relationship and may be confused, but to clarify, Max doesn't feel romantic attraction the way most people do, to Max, the relationship is less romantic and more "I love this person so dearly I wish to show it more than friendship"

So yes, they're dating and call each their partner, but it isn't very romantic and to most it wouldn't even seem like they were together

Hello again, it's been a while! So, we managed to find another big find! What looks to be a screenshot of the synopsis of the series, as well as designs for the main characters and the miracuclass! We recognize some old faces here, but we see at least two new faces in the crowd!

We also found a season 1 sheet of all the characters, with their names too! Including superhero forms and the villain of the series!!

Here they are! The BOIs!

I hate drawing male characters (which is why this took so long) but we finally got it done!

Max is the only character who retains his age. I like the Kid Genius with his Jock friend archetype. He's 13 her and quite honestly looks younger. He met Kim on the first day of Highschool. They became best friends, and Max helps Kim study on the subjects he struggles in (Namely science and math) And Kim keeps him safe, both from potential bullies and getting trampled in the hall.

Speaking of Kim, fuck that plot line of him being a total ass, you can't make him a himbo in the making and then rip the rug out from under us! In this one Marinette either didn't have that experience or it was some rando. Kim does have a bit of crush on Chloe, he likes that she's very direct, but it never gets past that. And once Ondine expresses her interest, he changes focus. Kim is surprisingly good at History.

Nathaniel... We'll get back to-

Ivan is almost the exact same as cannon, I have no issues with Ivan or his relationship with Mylene. The only addition is he carries a lot of guilt about being the first akuma. The villains scare him about as much as the rest of the cast but he's terrified of the butterflies. Having your mind unexpectedly invaded messes with you. At least everyone else had Heard of Hawkmoth by the time they got akumatized.

Marc, I changed because I felt his and Nathaniel's personalities were a bit too similar. In this one, Marc is a bit more confident. He has aa pretty good group of friends, he already knows Nathaniel and Marinette. But he doesn't have much confidence in his writing. Which is why Marinette has to help him talk to Nath. Just trying to make him feel more like his own character, not an excessory to Nathaniel. Of course Marc isn't in the akuma class, which he is very happy about, but he fit here for the redesigns.

Okay! So Nathaniel- I don't really like him. He had like- 2 episodes where he's relevant (3 if you count Penalteam) but he's an akuma in his first and an ass in the second. Other than that he doesn't really do anything. But I don't want to pull a Thomas Austruc and character assassinate- so instead we are simply mostly removing him from the narrative- Here me out!

Nathaniel is in Marc's class, and he mostly interacts with the akuma class through Alix (His best friend) and Marinette who he knows from art club. His crush on Mari and later Ladybug is still there, they are teenagers after all. And Chloe still revealed his crush, though it wasn't so much to be cruel as it was just "Huh. Dupain-Cheng, figures", and he is very embarrased about this. I don't know how to re-write Reverser without making him an ass though, so I'll cross that bridge when I get to Marc's other designs. Please give me suggestions, I need help.

Gamer- the first one- redesign! A screen cap redraw kinda.

Honestly, i really struggled with Gamer, he doesnt have alot going for him in canon, bar some stripes and a flat head?? So i gave him wire dreads, a VR headset and controls- connected direct to him. And for lack of other inspiration i gave him Shadow the Headgehog lookin shoes.

His wires connect from his wrist controls to his arms to his back, and from his headset to his chest. His hair-wires connect him to his mech in gamer 1.0. But are just decor in Gamer 2.0 really.

Gamer 2.0 just gives him the ability to summon UIs and control his game, having like the digital 'glove' things shown on the right when hes using the UI.

Also revamped queen bee’s design! A couple people said her og fit was overpatterned and I agree w/ them so I tried my best to make her costume a little more cohesive!

Aka my redesign of Pegasus

Pegasus, now named Coursière (which translates to the fem version of Steed in French) is one of the few designs that isn't just a full bodysuit

While originally I didn't want them to look like clothes, I actually like this design a lot since it also stands out amongst the other heroes and it eventually grew on me

Since Pegasus originally only had the glasses to protect its identity, I wanted to also give them a mask that covers the lower half of its face to help hide its identity

It wears a similar trench coat to its civilian counterpart because I couldn't not give it one, plus I like to think someone pointing it out and Max saying "Why would I make it that obvious?"

Its belt buckle has a horseshoe on it, and it wears cowboy boots because I couldn't resist

It's the same height as Max, but it uses They/Them pronouns along with It/Its, this is because majority of people won't want to/understand how to use It/Its and therefore Coursière uses them more then It/Its (though the entire superhero team will use It/Its)

To condense the other post down: Max's "Pegasus" Horse Hero design is nothing but a crappy, white washed, "The Matrix" ripoff, and he deserves so much better, so it's time for a Redesign!

Here is one of many possible redesigns for Max as the Horse Hero, this one inspired by Kaalki's paint horse appearance, and old horse armor made of ancient bronze that has oxidized to green, but gilded in brilliant gold, to go with the ancient greek inspiration for his original "Pegasus" name, even if I haven't picked a replacement name yet.

Haven't finalized a design for his legs/boots, but I like the thought of him having one or two "saddlebags" at the waist to store items and his weapon in, and he can use them for infinite carrying capacity too as a Passive Ability, no matter how big or small the object is, and the items are placed into stasis while inside the bags.

With this Passive Ability, as well as the Voyage ability, the Horse Hero is not only a skilled fighter, but also a perfect Medic! Horse Heroes are able to not only place objects, but people into their saddlebags, allowing them to transport gravely injured casualties away from the battle to receive medical attention.

Horse Heroes can also perform offensive/defensive orientated tasks such as... Catching live grenades, sticking them in the bag to 'freeze' them, and then taking them out later to lob right back at the enemy, or removing a bomb to a secluded location to be defused or allowed to go off without harming someone.

(please imagine: Gabriel is battling them in person, yapping and monologuing evilly. Max reaches into his saddlebag and pulls out a car, which is promptly thrown at Gabriel's face at mach speed.)

Two different hair style options shown above: his original hair, just slightly shorter to accommodate the faceplate that is his mask, and the second one is cornrows to resemble a braided mane. Unlike his racist canon design, his hair does not get bleached white, and instead stays his natural black/very dark brown.

I color-picked his hair and skin tones from one of his better screenshots where the animation quality is actually... Quality Animation, but it's not very visible in the current images above, since we have no internet, so these are pictures of my ipad screen, taken from my phone. When we get internet back, I will reupload them in full HD so you can see the actual details

The last of the kids (im not doing kim or rose, their designs are fine and not eyeburning enough for me to be mad) and a second attempt at rena with input from friends :3c! I have thoughts.

Miraculous should've leaned into the animal look more.
