See in the best Blops timeline, there's a day in 2013 in June where Mason is in the garage fiddling with his latest hobby in the shade when Woods bursts in without warning.

There's even less warning when he pelts a small object at Mason, who catches it more on instinct than intention.

Before he can ask what the hell, Woods points at the box in his hands. "Get your ass in a jacket n tie and get in the car! I'm marrying you legally if it's the last fuckin thing I do on this god forsaken planet!"

Mason can't say he ever expected a normal proposal from this man, but.... "What?"

Woods is already rolling back into the house. "Turn on the damn radio! We're getting married!"

And they do. They're probably the oldest couple in line at the courthouse to do it, but it happens. Frank frames their marriage certificate with the small news story about the two of them from the local paper. Alex hangs it up in the living room among the array of family and friends on the wall.

By the time David has a chance to call them about it from wherever he's deployed, a second certificate has already arrived in the mail saying Frank is officially a Mason. David hasn't heard him that smug and satisfied about something since he'd been made sergeant a year ago.

Someone had to know Woods would do it. Perhaps Adler? He even sent something in the mail a week in advance so it arrived day of or the very next day to congratulate them. He knows Woods so well, he'd been waiting for that phone call.

I’m 51, Jim is 49. The kids are 19 and 23. They are still living with us and they will as long as they want, but they don’t need us the way they did before.
