i feel like "being attracted to nonbinary people" has historically been shit on because NB isn't a third gender (fair but some NB people are, or at least aren't binary at all), because you can't tell if someone's NB just by looking at them (fair but that's true of every gender ever,) or because it's inherently fetishizing (shut up lol). but that's had the effect of like. the expectation that transneutral/transother folks are all fine with being sorted into binary(-aligned) attraction & erasing abinary people from sexuality. so i wanna say: i am attracted to agender & neutrois & maverique people specifically. I think binary-unaligned people are hot as fuck in a way that is completely unrelated to binary genders or binary sexuality. i want to have genderless & gender neutral & binary-breaking sex with other nonbinary people. abinary cock and pussy and cockpussy and smoothness* is all hot and cool as hell. i love being NLN and also MLN and WLN in a way completely unrelated to being MLM/WLW.

This can be for a variety of reasons, including being heavily aligned with a binary gender, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender and not viewing all of them as non binary, not identifying with typical understandings of what non binary means, having a "non traditional" relationship with non binaryness do to cultural reasons, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact non binaryness and/or non binaryness with additional complexities to it.

Maverique-ish - A term for for when someone's close to but not quite maverique. This can be for a variety of reasons, including being demimaverique, having fluid gender and/or multiple gender that one views as inseparable from each other and maverique is a prominent one, questioning one's gender, any other experiences of near but not exact maverique and/or maverique with additional complexities to it.

Liberec is loosely related to Liberique (link) [PT: Liberique ./. End PT], coined by tumblr user Mogai-Archive in August 2014. A pride flag was made for Liberique (link) [PT: A pride flag was made for Liberique (link) ./. End PT] by user Pride-Color-Schemes in July 2016. The concept of liberty is key to both identities, but the similarities end there. Liberec shares some qualities with Maverique and Alithix.

Liberec experiences can vary greatly from individual to individual, but every Liberec individual embodies a sense of freedom from all oppressive entities that effect their personal experience.

Elements that are essential to the identity include:

a sense of self that feels free from control, interference, obligation, restriction or other hampering condition imposed upon one's. experience and/or identity in any regard

Pride Flag

nonbiaspec/enbiaspec/nbiaspec : an umbrella term for anyone on the nonbinary spectrum. It includes all nonbinary genders, partial nonbinary genders, nonbinary-aligned and adjacent genders, nonbinaryflux, and genders which are in some way similar to / resemblant of nonbinaryness.

nonbingender/enbingender/nbingender : an umbrella term for all genders nonbine/enbine/nbine (nonbinary gender quality) in nature.

mviaspec : an umbrella terms for anyone on the maverique spectrum. It includes anyone whose gender is maverique, partly maverique, maverique-aligned or adjacent, or in some way similar to / resemblant of maveriqueness.

mvingender : an umbrella term for all genders maverine (maverique gender quality) in nature.

(I don't think I'm very good at writing definitions, I tried anyways.)

Some spectrum and in-nature flags :)

I think nonbinary versions of spec terms (like miaspec and fiaspec) and in-nature terms (like mingender and fingender), may already exist, but I couldn't find any, so I made my own flags.

Mviaspec has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find a flag for it, so I made one for that too. Mvingender already has a flag, here, but I wanted to make a alt one. (The in-nature-gender flags typically have a gradient style from the middle, which the original kind of didn't have, so I wanted a alt one.)

The nonbinary flags use purple, yellow, off-white and grey / dark colours, like from the nonbinary flag. And the maverique flags use orange, yellow, and off-white like from the maverique flag. (Off white, and dark colours, was used here instead of the original monochrome colours because I felt it fit better with the flag formats, and how the other spec and in flags look, not to alter any meaning of the original stripes.)

The spec flags have 5 stripes, and were arranged in a gradient to the outside, like the original spec flags. The in-nature flags have a wider middle stripe, and go in a gradient to the outside, also like the other in-nature flags (mingender, fingender, lingender examples).

What does it mean to be Maverique?

Maverique is a gender identity characterized by having an autonomous self that exists independently of the gender binary, along with anything derived from those genders, but is not of a neutral gender. (source)

Well, what does that mean?

Some people who are maverique feel like they have a very strong sense of gender, but it’s not particularly defined by masculinity, femininity, the lack thereof, or neutrality. For some, it’s a combination of these characteristics that lay outside what would be traditionally expected in a gender binary, and for others it could be characteristics not commonly associated with other genders they align with (like in multigender folks). These are just a few basic examples, but there are lots of different experiences out there.

Does being Maverique make me nonbinary/trans?

If you’re comfortable identifying as such, sure! Maverique does fall under the nonbinary and trans umbrella.

Is there a certain way to present as Maverique?

Not at all! Everyone’s individual experience being maverique is different- no two people who identify with it look or feel the same way.

Can I be Maverique and another gender?

Absolutely! Just like any gender, maverique can have a place on the multigender spectrum.

Galeem and Dharkon head canons: Redux

Galeem

any, tends to default to he/they but is totally partial to whatever

maverique , pan + aroaspec. only very rarely experiences attraction.

Wishes to change the world into one that suits his likeness out of a sense of entitlement and superiority. He thinks the world as it is now is dull and overcomplicated and wishes for one revolving around himself, drenched in light

A very selfish and prideful individual, out of touch for sure.

Presents itself as elegant, sophisticated sort of deity. Cares a lot about presentation and any attack on his ego will be met with an eternal grudge.

They get very humiliated when they are proven wrong and when their facade of coolness breaks. Because it does. A bit more often than Galeem would like too.

They try to act unaffected but they get very emotional. Galeem is always at the extremes when they're upset or even happy.

Genuinely scared of the dark to an extent. He's very glad he glows.

Doesn't really need to eat or drink but can do so and sometimes feels the drive to. Likes cute lil pastries and fruit. Not huge on chocolate though and won't each much of anything else.

Doesn't like most of the smashers but has grown to respect most over time. Likes Kirby the most now that the burning rage has faded and kirby sneaks him bites of cake when he can is nice enough

Also has some bias over the more light-aligned smashers esp Palutena and Pit

Giving the Hands the cold shoulder still. Mocks them behind their backs. Sort of teases MH about being able to control the guy but MH is like "shush you lost you can give it up it's not my first rodeo". though MH is totally still bothered.

Likes classical and very cinematic sort of music.

Loves sunny days, dislikes stormy weathers. That being said, he enjoys snow.

Dharkon

any, defaults to she/he/it in no particular order but as w/ galeem it doesn't matter all that much

Can change its voice to sound more fem, masc or even in between. Sometimes it does so because of a change in mentality as well (vulnerable,strong,angry, friendly) Its voice is often deep, raspy and rumbling.

This also means he can mimic voices with a lil bit of time and effort. Totally uses this to taunt people.

Wants to plunge the world into darkness out of hatred and apathy for virtually all life. Wishes to be alone with only like individuals in a world of gloomy anarchy.

Certainly very selfish but he's got like. Reverse superiority-inferiority complex. Self loathing but also so hateful of everything else that he decided his way was still the better option. like does that make sense. doomer blackpilled nihilist reddit core.

Not unlike ridley he's smart but sees no need to communicate this. Clever but from a rougher school of thought and can't be assed to talk to people he doesn't respect.

Same as Galeem, doesn't need to eat food in the traditional sense but will do so out of boredom or cravings. Likes rich chocolate and hearty meaty foods. Great spice tolerance also. Eats much more than Galeem 2 fill the void.

Sensitive to light, especially in its weakened spirit form. This keeps him inside, when he is allowed to go out he stays in the shade or waits until twilight and night. Fond of rainstorms and cloudier weather.

Has also warmed up to Kirby somewhat. Still holding a grudge but she's starting to see the humor in being beat by a lil pink puffball, too tired to be angry about it anymore. Not to mention how Kirby is extending an olive branch

More fond of the villains. Has probably talked to Ridley, Seph and Ganon if they approach him.

Also thinks Sonic is kind of cool. Dharkon is Guy Who Only Listens To Sonic Soundtrack ig. That's the sorta person she is.

Likes rock and metal.

Drilled into the Hands for not being able to protect the smashers. Master Hand might've cried a lil about it. ok he totally did. But Dharkon has warmed up a little to Crazy Hand but hasn't been able to reconcile

Slowly starting to be less misanthropic but could still benefit from therapy and some prozac.

Together

Kept under pretty high security with lots of limitations, but allowed some freedom to keep them from being totally miserable.

Allowed to roam around every now and then.

Though it may seem rather odd to not really punish them strongly, the beatdown they've faced and permanent servitude as spirits alongside Typical Smash antics are punishment enough in the Hands' eyes (erm, lack thereof?). And, considering they did what they did out of greed and dissatisfaction, keeping them relatively happy now that their egos are in check seems like the right thing to do.

Clowned on 24/7. The fighters that feel comfortable enough to approach them tend to be teasing or will outright use them for pranks and whatnot.

Kirby is sternly kind to them, willing to turn the other cheek as long as they don't turn back to their old ways. Would totally wipe the floor with them if need be.

For others, the water is not under the bridge. Many want nothing to do with them. Some like Villager, the Ice Climbers and Duck Hunt Duo are terrified of them. Others are hostile. Oddly enough, the pikmin of all folks fall under this latter group and are extremely aggressive towards Galeem and Dharkon. In turn, these forces of light and dark have learned to fear them. Olimar is almost apologetic about it but above all else he just doesn't want his pikmin getting wiped off the face of the earth. Alph gets a little bit of a kick out of it.

Mario isn't having any bullshit. He's very cautious about the whole ordeal and will even admonish the more mischievous individuals that go out of their way to try and rile the two up. Palutena, Rosalina, Peach, Link and Samus are also very, very cautious and keep a close eye out.

Some of the villains are curious about their power, namely Ganon and Sephy. They'd like to harness their powers probably. Ridley is also curious, moreso about Dharkon but it's more like he's sizing them up for revenge.

Wario is still figuring out a way to make a quick buck off of 'em. He almost got Galeem into a mlm scheme that one time. Bowser is more cautious and cares less about trying to win them over and more about trying to avoid them bc he's mad abt his kids being hurt.

Mewtwo is also cautiously curious.

They're enemies but. Sometimes they seem a little. hm. maybe you should just kiss abt it. or something. frolic in the fields. hit each other with squeaky hammers. don't actually stab each other. thanks.

if they could stop arguing they'd be a cool evil couple. They'd be great partners in crime because they do bounce off of each other well on the occasion that they're on the same wavelength. Even when they clash, there is beauty in the way they work off of each other.

The two were kind of friends once upon a time. Whatever happened to them? No one knows, and they won't speak.

They kinda sorta apologized about WOL to each other but it's like. The spongebob scene where they're like "id hate you even if i didn't hate you" that's them 24/7 still. And they're always getting into petty disagreements.

They haven't formally apologized about it to the smashers though.

Dharkon enjoys challenging Galeem and is usually the instigator of their conflicts, but Galeem also angers Dharkon a lot through his smug behavior. Neither apologizes or forgives easily. Galeem can be bribed or buttered up, but Dharkon needs time for sure. And a valid apology.

It's very can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em, tried both. They really cannot imagine life without each other.

So. I was assigned male at birth, and I identified with that for a long time. I'm even pretty comfortable with masculine terms now. I think it all started when my sibling came out as non binary. I was confused and I didnt know you could do that, so I was kind of a bitch about it from deadnaming to misgendering.

I used to go on the r/lgballt subreddit on reddit and look at all the funny comics. This is probably where I learned a lot of the labels and basics on being non binary. I started to identify as a demiboy when I was a little 9 year old or somewhere around that. I thought I was non binary, but I was comfortable with my AGAB. I searched around a bit (looked at a single quora thread) and concluded that I was a demiboy.

I learned about a lot of stuff through Pinterest and all the lgbtq+ wikis. I went through a lot of identities, but the one that really stuck with me was neoboy. If you've never heard of it, neoboy according to lgbtqia.wiki is "a gender with a connection to masculinity, but in a way that's largely different from how most boys/men are connected to masculinity. Neoboy is a non-binary identity that is mostly separate from being male, though it can be described as a gender that is masculine-aligned, neutral-aligned, mingender, and/or miaspec." This was it. I felt like a boy in a non-binary way.

After a lot of switching around, I came to realize that a lot of the genders I was using were mainly masculine aligned, neutral aligned, or really anything not feminine. I found the term gendersatyr on reddit before that, and I remembered that and used the term. Gendersatyr, according to gender.fandom.com, "Gendersatyr is a form of genderfluidity that does not encompass genders that are fiaspec, fingender, or binary womanhood. This identity primarily encompasses xenogenders and uncommon genders, but can/does include other genders as well."

I dont remember when I learned about xenogenders, but it was pretty early on in my journey. I paid no attention to them since I thought they didnt quite fit me. I don't remember what my first xenogender was, but according to Pinterest the first one on my gender identity board was mossgender. I know purplegender was also a big one back then.

My gender board is pretty big, and on my new Pinterest account it's also pretty big. I know a big part of my gender used to be the deep sea. I also identified as a neoboy maverique for a while before what I'm about to talk about. I mean neoboy maverique as in like I identified with masculine terms and felt "masculine" but I don't really know what it means to be a boy. There probably would've been a better label for that. I think neoboy alone would've accomplished that meaning.

Recently I joined the alterhuman community. I'm an otherlinker and my linktype is a supermassive black hole. My connection to my identity as a black hole seemed to influence my gender a lot. I felt like my gender was tied to black holes. I felt like I was seeing my gender through the lense of a black hole. This leads up to one big thing.

I like to think of my gender as a black hole. I don’t experience my gender the same way my friends, peers, adults, or really anyone I know in real life does. I do call myself a boy, male, etc., but I don’t actually think I am that. Whatever that is. I feel like my gender started simple, I used to identify with the terms used on me, but as I explored what that really means, my gender got more and more complicated that it eventually imploded on itself and now it acts like a black hole. There’s the singularity, with every gender I once identified with compressed into a 0 dimensional, infinitely dense point. This is the core of my gender identity. There’s then the event horizon, that seeks to swallow any gender it can and integrate that into my identity somehow. I think of my gender in points of time. There’s the pre-supernova, before my gender imploded and became this weird black hole. There’s the supernova, which is not really any point, but a gradual shift in my identity. And then my post-supernova self, who I am now, the black hole, and how my supernova and pre-supernova identities affected how the black hole turned out. This is where things get confusing. This is where you have to stop thinking in terms of male, female, non binary, masculine, feminine, neutral, or androgynous to truly understand. My gender is everything and nothing at the same time. My gender can’t be defined in relation to male or female. My gender exists in a vacuum, not in relation to the social constructs created. My gender is a black hole, but it is also a neutron star, outer space in general, it’s the color pink, it’s the color purple. I’m agender, I’m pangender. I'm gender neutral, but I’m also completely atrinary. I’m aporagender but masc at the same exact time. I’m androgynous. I’m feminine. I’m a femboy. This is why gendered terms don’t work on me. At my core, my gender is some weird Thing. It’s a hideous black hole that hurts to look at. It’s mentally damaging to look at, but you can’t take your eyes off it. It’s like the sun in that way. This is my experience with gender, and it’s why I’ve started to shift towards exclusively using xenine expressions to describe my gender ever since the supernova.

That was a really long paragraph that probably doesn't even make much sense, but that's how I really feel in the present moment. I'm exclusively xenine, but I'm only out to like 3 of my friends, and 2 of them I've only explained the basics (that I'm non binary). I don't feel safe coming out around really anyone or opening up about my feelings to anyone except one of my friends. She's the most supportive imo.

It would be a handful to explain my gender to anyone in my classes and I would probably get laughed at. No one really understands how hard it is to figure out your gender when you're autistic with a sense of gender not tied to male, female, or even non binary terms at all since most of the non binary terms describe their enby-ness (is that a word?) in relation to how the gender binary doesn't fit them.

I feel as if it's important to describe my gender as in how it doesn't work with the system we've put in place, but I feel it's also very important to explain how your gender feels, and stop comparing your gender to the binary for a second to explain how your gender feels. I use xenogenders for this and it's really helped me because I can use black holes as a metaphor for my abomination of a gender.

I have synesthesia, and that has affected my geder because it lets me visualise my identity. I think that's the main reason on why I use xenogenders. Because I know what my gender looks like, and I need non-gendered concepts to explain it. My gender is pink, my gender is purple, my gender looks like a black hole and functions like a blck hole, my gender is so much more.

Most of the hate xenogenders get is mainly from misunderstanding how they're used. They think using a xenogender means you are that, not your gender. They think you think you are the color purple, not that your gender is purple. And I think thats a difference that's not highlighted enough.

TL;DR (aka: the labels I use today, coined by me or not coined by me): I am a xenine aligned person that uses many xenogenders. They are: blackholegender, pinkgender, purplegender, spacegender, dirkcharic (referring to dirk from homestuck), ragegender, and probably more. My gender is mainly personified by pastel colors (particularly 🩷←this pink) and black holes. In relation to the gender binary, you could say I am maverique/atrinary.
