Gropello Cairoli: morto un agente di Polizia Locale, colpito da uno sparo accidentale. In Gropello Cairoli (PV), via Tazio Nuvolari, su richiesta del personale 118, l'Arma Locale è intervenuta, presso un’abitazione privata, per una segnalazione di un ferito d’arma da fuoco. I primissimi accertamenti esperiti da personale della Sezione Operativa del Comando Compagnia Carabinieri di Vigevano, unitamente a personale del Nucleo Investigativo di Pavia, hanno permesso di appurare che Rovida Christian, classe 2001, agente presso il Comando di Polizia Locale di Mortara (PV), mentre era, libero dal servizio, all’interno dell’abitazione dei genitori, in una camera al secondo piano della villetta, in compagnia della fidanzata, G.C., classe 2005, è stato colpito al petto da un colpo d’arma da fuoco partito dalla propria pistola, una Glock 22 calibro 40, in dotazione di servizio, in quel momento maneggiata dalla ragazza, classe 2005, di Trivolzio. Il ragazzo, nell’immediato, soccorso da personale del 118, è stato trasportato, in condizioni critiche, presso il Policlinico San Matteo di Pavia, è deceduto. Al termine dei rilievi e del sopralluogo effettuato da detto personale presso l’abitazione del giovane, è stata posta sotto sequestro la pistola d’ordinanza, da cui sarebbe partito il colpo, e altra arma detenuta e regolarmente denunciata dalla vittima. Porsche Hunts 2021 Title at Belgium

The Porsche works team tackles the opening round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa-Francorchamps on May 1, 2021, with two Porsche 911 RSR’s.

For the six-hour race in the Ardennes region of Belgium, the factory drivers Gianmaria Bruni from Italy and Richard Lietz from Austria share the cockpit of the car. 515-hp GT racing vehicle with the starting #91. The crew in the #92 sister car has changed from previous years: this season, Frenchman Kévin Estre, the 2018/2019 WEC champion, shares the vehicle with Neel Jani. In preparation for his WEC mission with the Porsche 911 RSR, the Swiss racer contested the final round of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in Sebring and took part in extensive tests.

The Race

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is located in the far east of Belgium close to the German border. Opened in 1921, the 7.004-kilometre racetrack is the longest dedicated racetrack on the FIA WEC calendar. With 21 corners and several long straights, the track undulates through the Walloon countryside – not surprisingly, the circuit is also known as the “Ardennes rollercoaster”. Fast passages like Raidillon/Eau Rouge and Blanchimont are as notorious as the La Source hairpin at the end of the start-finish straight.

“Our team has prepared meticulously for the 2021 season. With a top result at the opening round in Spa-Francorchamps, we’d like to send a clear signal from the very start that there can only be one goal for us: to win the world championship,” clarifies Pascal Zurlinden, Director Factory Motorsport. “Our class win in 2020 at the first round in Belgium clearly underlined that the latest version of the Porsche 911 RSR suits the special characteristics of the ‘Ardennes rollercoaster’ very well,” explains Alexander Stehlig, Head of Operations FIA WEC. “During test drives at Hockenheim, among other venues, we gave our teams and cars the final touches. At the two-day prologue in Spa, we’ll do our utmost to find the best setup for the special characteristics of this track. We’re ready to race!”

Before the start of the race weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, a so-called prologue will be held at the venue. Porsche and its customer teams take part in the two-day test session on 26 and 27 April with a total of seven 2019-generation 911 RSR.

The Porsche GT Team Drivers

In the No. 91 Porsche 911 RSR, the works team relies on Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz for the third year in a row. In 2019, the experienced pair won the season-opening round at Silverstone in Great Britain. Kévin Estre, who shares driving duties in the No. 92 car with Neel Jani, travels to Spa-Francorchamps as last year’s winner. Last season, the Frenchman also won the finale in Bahrain and concluded the year ranking third. Jani returns to the WEC after competing for the Porsche TAG Heuer Formula E Team.

The Customer Teams 

Dempsey-Proton Racing fields two Porsche 911 RSR at the start of the WEC season. Works driver Matt Campbell from Australia joins forces with the team owner Christian Ried (Germany) and the former Porsche Junior Jaxon Evans from New Zealand. Andrew Haryanto from Indonesia, German Marco Seefried and Alessio Picariello from Belgium have been announced as the drivers in the No. 88 sister car. The German customer team Project 1 also campaigns two 911 RSR in all six events this season. The squad from the German town of Lohne in Lower Saxony tackles round one with the Norwegians Dennis Olsen and Egidio Perfetti as well as the Italians Matteo Cairoli and Riccardo Pera. The all-British driver crew, Michael Wainwright, Ben Barker and Tom Gamble, compete for GR Racing in the No. 86 car.

24H Le Mans Test Day Report

The day was divided into two sessions, both 3 hours in length. There were a few drivers missing part of (or all of) testing with IndyCar, DTM, Formula 1 and Porsche races taking place the same weekend.

All IndyCar drivers missed all of the testing. Drivers missing testing are supposed to pay some form of a fine, but anyone competing in IndyCar is exempt from that.

Because of teams missing some drivers, several teams opted to choose some reserve drivers for the test. Teams are allowed to put a maximum of 5 drivers on the entry list. Not all drivers ran in the cars they were assigned to.

Session 1

Toyota's Kamui Kobayashi finished the session on top in the #7 car with a 3:28.467, already beating the fastest testing time last year by 2 seconds. Kevin Estre was 2nd in the #6 Porsche with a 3:29.270 and Robin Frijns was third in the #20 BMW with a 3:29.433

In LMP2 Job van Uitert was fastest in the #28 IDEC Sport car with a 3:37.044. He was followed by the #22 of Oliver Jarvis and third was the #14 of Louis Delétraz. The #14 was also fasted in LMP2 Pro/Am though the time was set by a Pro.

In LMGT3 the #78 Akkodis ASP Lexus was on top with a lap from Kelvin van der Linde who later travelled to Zandvoort for the DTM Race. Van der Linde set a 4:00.106. His teammate, Esteban Masson in the #87 Lexus was half a second behind him. Third was Sean Gelael in the #31 Team WRT BMW.

The session saw several interruptions, the first coming from the #3 Cadillac driven by Renger van der Zande. The driver came to a stop during his out lap on the run down to Indianapolis. The car had a fuel line issue. Race Control first opted for a slow zone, but this was later turned into a short red flag.

Following the red flag, Race Control simulated the new safety car procedure for this year which took a while.

During the session two LMP2 cars (the #33 and #47) suffered front suspension issues.

Later in the session a FCY was called as the #87 Lexus was stopped at the exit of the Dunlop Chicane, the car could continue. Only minutes later, there was another Yellow as the #15 BMW of Dries Vanthoor came to a halt. The team told Vanthoor to stop the car as they found abnormalities in the engine. The team eventually opted for an engine change which saw their running today severely interrupted.

The session eventually ended under a red flag as the #37 Cool Racing car of Lorenzo Fluxa went off at the exit of the Porsche Curves. This was the biggest accident of the session as the car was damaged on several corners. Fluxa was said to be ok by the team.

There were several stop and go penalties given due to track limits.

Session 2

Porsche ended the test day with a 1-2 with a 3:26.907 by Kevin Estre in the #6 followed by Felipe Nasr who set a 3:27.142 in the #4.

Times were several seconds quicker than last year with lighter cars and very favourable weather aiding to that. Most cars set their fastest time in the second session.

In LMP2 Oliver Jarvis in the #25 APR Car led the field by over a second with a 3:34.704. He was followed by the #25 of Olli Caldwell who set a 3:35.981. James Allen was third in the #30 in the Duqueine car. The car was also quickest in LMP2 Pro/Am though the time was set by a Pro

In LMGT3 Sebastien Baud set the fastest lap with a 3:59.883 in the #82 TF Sport Corvette. Alex Tiberias followed with a 3:59.920 in the #27 Heart Of Racing Aston Martin. Augusto Farfus equalled his time in the #31 BMW while Sean Gelael was only 2 thousands slower in the same car.

The first interruption of the session came when the #10 Vector Sport LMP2 went off at Indianapolis. According to dailysportscars.com the team already wrote off a chassis during testing at Spa last week. Making this incident another big blow to the team.

During the red flag the #19 Lamborghini spun at Arnage and then drove almost 100M in the opposite direction to the way the track goes. The driver, Matteo Cairoli has had 1 penalty point withdrawn on his license and has been given a suspended 30 seconds stop and go penalty for the race. This means that if he repeats this infringement during any of the sessions next week, this penalty will be handed out.

Later in the session the #14 AO Racing car caused a slow zone followed by a safety car. PJ Hyett tried to overtake an LMGT3 car but instead made contact at the wall at Indianapolis.

Another incident took place somewhere during the session when the #47 Cool Racing Car had contact with the #88 Ford Mustang. The driver of the #47 was deemed at fault but only a warning was given.

During the closing minutes the #7 of Kamui Kobayashi went off at Indianapolis. This caused a red and a premature end to the session.

After a dramatic and tense 24 hours of racing at Spa (Belgium) Porsche team Rowe Racing car number 98 (Nick Tandy, Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor) claimed overall victory. Nick Tandy nursed the car home over the last few laps with a suspected gearbox oil leak. Ironically, the leaking oil (combined with the very wet conditions) hindered the second placed Audi Sport Team Attempto of Frederic Vervisch, Patric Niederhauser and Mattia Drudi forcing them to settle for the runners up spot. Third place was claimed by another Porsche, this time that of Dinamic Motorsport drivers Sven Müller, Christian Engelhart and Matteo Cairoli.

Pro-Am victors were ultimately the #77 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini driven by Sandy Mitchell, Leo Machitski as well as the father-son duo of Rob and Ricky Collard.

Gabriele Piana, Michele Beretta, Sergey Afanasiev and Hubert Haupt claimed Silver Cup honours in their Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3 whilst the AM Cup spoils were claimed by the CMR Bentley Continental GT3 of Clement Mateu, Romano Ricci, Stephane Tribaudini and Stephane Lemeret

Dubai, UAE – The Herberth Motorsport team, in their 991 GT3 R spec Porsche 911, has won the 12th Hankook 24H Dubai at Dubai Autodrome, crossing the line after 578 laps around the 5.39km Grand Prix Circuit.

Driven by Daniel Allemann, Ralf Bohn, Robert Renauer, Alfred Renauer and Brendon Hartley, the team took the chequered flag and victory on Saturday (14 January) afternoon.

Macerata, 80esimo anniversario del bombardamento sulla città: mercoledì 3 aprile la rievocazione in onore delle vittime.  Ricorre quest’anno l’80° anniversario del bombardamento su Macerata, una ricorrenza che si inserisce in uno scenario internazionale particolarmente drammatico e offre quindi un importante spunto di riflessione. La rievocazione di quella tragica pagina di storia è promossa, come ogni anno, dal Comune e dalla sezione maceratese dell’Associazione nazionale vittime civili di guerra, presieduta da Sandra Vecchioni, per celebrare le vittime di tutti gli attacchi aerei che si susseguirono sulla città di Macerata dall’aprile al luglio del 1944. Una messa in suffragio delle vittime del bombardamento aereo su Macerata verrà celebrata da Don Enzo Bruschi mercoledì 3 aprile, alle 19:00, nella chiesa del Sacro Cuore e sarà deposta una corona di alloro in via Pannelli, sotto la targa in ricordo delle vittime civili del 1944. La cittadinanza è invitata a partecipare. Il 3 aprile 1944 i bombardieri alleati colpirono il centro della città causando 106 morti e più di 200 feriti fra la popolazione civile, disseminando distruzione e terrore. Altre incursioni aeree, in particolare quelle del 2 e 14 giugno dello stesso anno, provocarono ulteriori lutti, feriti e danneggiamenti. Tra le vittime di quei tragici eventi vi furono numerosi bambini, donne e anziani, in prevalenza residenti in vicolo della Nana, corso Cairoli, piazza Nazario Sauro, via Santa Maria della Porta, via Padre Matteo Ricci, corso Cavour, via Roma, piazza della Vittoria, le Vergini, via Cioci.... #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article
