It's rare that an anime ED alone sells me on a show having no prior knowledge of it, but Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan or From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated is every bit as fun and charming as its ending. Fans of the Villainess subgenre have been eating good recently, but most of the stories don't feature a 52-year old man being the one reincarnated as the titular villainess challenging fate.

Finding himself a new life as the noble Grace Auverne, Kenzaburou Tondabayashi puts his years of experience as a civil servant to good use navigating the politics and school life of his daughter's favorite otome game-- and in the anime ED, tearing up the dance floor to famous historical drama actor and singer Ken Matsudaira's 1994 theater song "Matsuken Samba II", dressed as ostentatiously glittering and golden as Matsudaira himself performing his famous samba singing shogun.

I went to "Viva~Matsuken Samba II World Cafe~Ore!" which is also known as Matsuken Collab Cafe! ️🥳🎉 To meet the daimyo himself😍💕 Actually, the cafe is so popular that it's fully booked until next month, you can't just walk in😳✨I ended up going to the attached goods shop because you didn’t need a reservation for it! Of course, the shop was also very popular so I had to wait in line to enter the store 😳😳 I made some personalised stickers with my name which also say “I’m your daimyo!” 😂😂 I’m gonna stick it on all sorts of stuff😂 And then I went to the Nintendo shop across the street🎮 It's actually a place I've wanted to visit since I started playing The Legend of Zelda😆 I got to shake Link’s hand🤝✨ (Source)

There’s a manga titled 悪役令嬢転生おじさん (“The Old Man Reincarnated as a Villainess”), which I like a lot. (Free fan translation to English here.) It’s a comedy about a 52-year-old bureaucrat who is a pretty decent person, who gets isekai-ed into the character of the stereotypical teenaged villainess in a fantasy romance game — which is running on a game console owned by his college-aged daughter, who still lives at home, and she and his wife have watch him navigate the game universe. It’s a great story because it doesn’t just make jokes at his expense — it also highlights his strengths and good points in his personality as well, so that his character has genuine dignity, which is often denied to older characters in comedy manga.

Anyway, the reason I bring this up is that the series has gotten adapted into an anime, which has recently begun airing (I haven’t seen any of it, but it is apparently fairly faithful to the manga) and it is a rare example of a series where the closing credits are noticeably better than the opening. The opening is just the standard “here are the characters and a few hints about the plot” thing, with an uninspired-sounding song, which I won’t embed but here’s a link. But the ending is just fantastically great — the moreso because it uses a preexisting song, “Matsuken Samba II”, albeit in a cover by the voice actors of the two physical sides of the main character:
