Dating Ra's Granddaughter, Tim is not a fan how Ra did it. But Jazz is cute!
Tim was looking at Ra, who once again kidnapped him! Before him, was there a suit?
Ra:" Put on your clothes. I have the date ready for you!"
Tim didn't fight back, and they arrived in the small town.
Cute red hair opened the door. "Grandpa, what are you doing here?"
Ra:" Jasmine remember your bad boyfriend! So I brought you a new one! He is a smart boy! And I can be your +1 when you rule the league!"
Jazz:" Grandpa! We had the talk!"
Ra: Yeah, yeah, I am going to spend time with Danny and Ellie. You go on your date."
+
Ra left to join Danny and Ellie. He has the sword Ellie wanted, and both wanted to train her to use it.
+
Jazz gave a smile:" I am sorry about him. Since I dated that boy who wanted to take over my body, he is awlays that way."
Tim: "Oh, no problem. Where am I?"
Jazz:" In Amity Park."
Tim looked at the pretty, cute girl and said, "Don't we have a date to go?"
Jazz:"Wait, really? Even if Grandpa...?"
Tim:" Ah, no problem about it."
Irony he liked to spend time with her, and Ra did get much better. To learn he was never planned, as Heir doesn't bother him. But that Damian was never the Heir brought him joy.
And they all seem to be like Damian, very Feral.
A/N
Ra never planned for Tim to be his heir. Nope! Tim was to marry his heir!
And it all started when Jazz dated Johnny.

The maids escorted Patrice down to the market the next day. Patrice had never seen anything like it. A whole part of the city was used for nothing but shop after shop after shop. Each type of good had its own street. The main streets branched off a circular plaza in the very middle, and the smaller streets of more specialized goods branched off from there.
All of it was laid out to be the most convenient for shoppers, and for the artisans who sold goods there. They entered the market through Iron Street, which on one side branched out into Silver Street, Gold Street, and the other metalworkers, which in turn led into Jeweler Street. On the other side, Iron Street branched off into weapon and armor makers.
"How is this possible?" Patrice asked. "It's so well-planned!"
She could not help but compare it to what she remembered of Dragon's Keep. The castle wasn't the only thing there, there had clearly been a city at one point too. While she couldn't say for sure which parts may have been residential and which parts might have been shops or restaurants, Patrice had played on those grounds all her life and not one section of it was as organized as this. That was a lot more like a maze, with streets and buildings placed haphazardly wherever there was room.
"That's because New Iber isn't a natural city," Maria said. "It was founded by those who fled the old kingdom. By all accounts the capital of Iberia was a disgrace of a city, and so those who fled here decided they would not repeat their ancestors’ designs."
"We take a lot of pride in our city, and our civil engineers," said Elaine. "We've conveniences that Juskans and Serzeks can't even dream of."
Anna said, "As impressive as it is, we're here for a reason. The animal sellers are that way."
Despite the crowded nature of the market, Patrice found the trip much more comfortable than her time so far at the palace. Dressed in a simple kirtle with minimal jewelry, she perfectly matched much of the fashion around her, save for that she still was not wearing a veil or headdress. Her hair was pulled back in a simple braid. But she wasn't the only one. Many foreigners came to the markets here, and some of them were almost as dark of skin and hair as Patrice. In fact, some were even darker. And all of them had different fashions. Finally, she was in a place where almost no one stopped to stare at her.
Once they reached the animal market, things changed.
Dogs, even as she had predicted, didn't like Patrice at all. They got one good whiff of dragon and backed off to the farthest corner of their cages, hackles up and teeth showing. The maids were not discouraged. After all, they told her, dogs were not the only guard animals available. In fact, they weren't even the most common, or the cheapest. They swept past the shops that primarily sold dogs and moved farther down the street.
As the gaggle of women made its way through the market, Patrice heard all about guard geese and hens – favored by the poorest of peasants, of pigs, and of the guard goat that Elaine's cousin's husband's sister had trained.
The maids didn't want to settle for any of those. Prey animals, much like dogs, didn't like Patrice. And geese, Anna explained, tended to be both messy and bad tempered. Not the sort of animal one would choose to live in a suite with them.
But there were other options. For instance, the great hunting cats which thrived in the more remote parts of Runeria. Like wolves, the cats had been bred down over the years. Like wolves, the cats were pack animals. Like dogs, the cats tended to be loyal to their owners, and protective of their 'family'. Although, as Maria explained, they could be rather obstinate and sometimes difficult to train.
Their most important quality, however, was the fact that they seemingly were not afraid of dragons.
Like with Vasya, Patrice didn't really know what to do with the cats. How did one treat animals, especially ones that seemed to like you? Or at least, not dislike you. Some of them held aloof in their crates, but others rubbed against the bars seeking attention. They were still young, not adults yet, but already their protective instincts have been trained and honed enough for sale. Already they were large enough to give an adult human pause.
What had seemed innocuous enough the previous evening suddenly seemed much more questionable. What did Patrice know about other animals? Nothing at all. Not what they were like, not how to care for them. "I don't know…" she said.
The maids wouldn't accept that. After much nagging and debate, she ended up in a small meeting room with a young cat half the size of a horse. His fur was patchy black and white and up close, Patrice could see that he had the same spots as his wild ancestors hidden in the dark patches. She held her hand out to him the way that she had for Vasya and he came right up to her, rubbing against her dress and her fingers, purring loud enough to be heard through the door.
That, it seemed, was that.
The cat came with them, with his own food and supplies, a list of command words, and a harness and leash to bring him back to the palace.
"Really, Lady Patrice," Maria told the bewildered dragon, "it was only a matter of time. Nearly all the gentle ladies have a guard pet staying in their quarters. Why shouldn't you? It might even be good for you."
"I'd prefer a cat to a dog anyway, if I could afford one," Anna said. "They're cleaner. On my salary though, the most I could ever hope to get is a goose. But the cat should protect all of us, if we are in the room."
The seller had taught Patrice how to 'introduce' friends to the cat. He would bond to her most, especially if she were the one feeding him. But they were social animals and he would accept anyone that she did. That was supposedly one of their selling points, as most other animals including some breeds of guard dog could be very selective with who they chose to like.
"You'll have to name him too," Elaine said.
"I don't even know the first thing about human names," said Patrice, "let alone cat names."
"Really, Lady Patrice," Anna said, "it's not nearly so complicated as you want to make it."
Patrice shook her head. She didn't know how to explain to them how important names were to dragons. If she was to be in charge of this creature, then she would not treat it with any less respect than she expected from others.
Patrice attempted to form an acquaintance with the strange young animal as the maids attempted to get her ready for the feast that night. They made last-minute adjustments to her dress for the feast – another picture of emerald and sapphire but in silk this time, to her jewelry, to her hair – once again worn in a snood, and Patrice put up with it all.
It seemed far too much bother to her, but they were the ones who had been working so hard to provide her with what they considered an appropriate wardrobe. Dragons didn't complain about the type of prey they ate, if they hadn't flown the hunt. Patrice tried to apply the same logic here. At least they tried to keep things in line with what she wanted, a fact that probably also made their lives a great deal easier.
She couldn't truly argue about the cat either. It would be nice to know something was guarding her things, considering how many things she now had. Being human came with a great many possessions, a fact she had not been prepared for. She certainly couldn't be expected to keep track of it all.
Although she really would've been fine with one or two practical outfits and little else, that didn't fit the rules here and she was trying to play by their rules. So, she now had possessions. So, she now had a cat to look after them. Human life certainly was strange.
The day was so busy that Patrice only had an hour to herself before Felisjyta showed up to escort her to dinner.
Her eyes sparkled when she saw Patrice. "I think my colors suit you very well," the knight teased. "You look wonderful, as always."
Felisjyta wore a similar outfit as to the last feast, only slightly different embroidery showed them to be unique pieces of clothing. It was a look that suited her. "And you look very handsome," Patrice teased back. But their conversation was cut short when Patrice had to 'introduce' Felisjyta to the cat, and the cat to her. Although it was a relatively short interruption, they didn't resume their conversation after. Felisjyta merely offered Patrice her arm and Patrice took it. Then it was off to the feast.
This time, entry was easier. People did look up from their seats, but Patrice was no longer so exciting and they returned to their own conversations with due haste. Hundreds of snippets of conversation whizzed past her ears. Patrice heard certain words repeated again and again, words such as 'adultery', 'disgrace', 'guards', and the name of a count she was not familiar with.
Patrice smiled slightly. Some other poor fool had taken her place as the center of court gossip, at least for the time being.
Although, she could not smile for long. One of these people must've been in possession of her mother's dragon skin, but who? Although she scoured people's faces while she ate servings of some of the milder dishes, she could not see anybody paying much attention to her or acting particularly suspicious. She supposed she would just have to continue to pay attention. She could not afford to dismiss humans as she had initially. So Patrice ate, and watched, and waited – eagerly, she could admit – for the dancing.
Rothert, Johan, and Petrich all came up to try and claim Patrice for a dance almost immediately. She glanced at Felisjyta, who shook her head.
"Dancing is fun and all," said Felisjyta, "but I'd like to see some of the other amusements."
This Summertide festival had plenty. Unlike the previous feast, there was more to do than just food and dancing. There were games and small contests set up in the gardens – things that Patrice also wanted to try. There would also be a bonfire at midnight, which had some traditional purpose in ending the season. But for now, she would dance.
"Four isn't such a bad number," she said, offering her hand to Rothert.
"Indeed not, my Lady Dragon," he said.
And so the four of them entered a round together. It did not take long for the mood to turn serious.
Rothert said, "Errys told us about your cloak being stolen, and how it puts you in a precarious position."
Patrice did not fail to notice how he said 'your'. So Errys had kept her truth of the matter hidden, as Patrice had requested. "It was something of a shock for me," she said. "And it will likely lead to trouble down the line."
Johan seamlessly picked up the conversation. "Rothert and I are behind you on this," he said. "We aren't attending summer court, but we are set to attend many of the parties and events being held. We’ll do a little poking around, and see if we can find out who stole it."
Petrich had something to say as well. "I also heard what happened, Lady Dragon,” he said. "It is extremely troubling. All Serzeks are outraged by this disrespect. So I would also like to offer my assistance."
Patrice looked between them for a full minute before she spoke. "Thank you," she said, finally. "I did not think-"
"To ask us for help?" Rothert asked. "Or expect it? Or even to let us know something was wrong?"
"I-"
Johan gave her a gentle smile. "Humans take care of each other. Knights even more so. I know dragons are more solitary, but you no longer have to face everything alone."
"It may take me a while to believe it," she told him.
Petrich looked at her, his gaze solemn. "You must believe, Lady Dragon, that there are those who only have your best interest at heart."
Johan and Rothert eagerly agreed with this assessment, but shortly after Johan changed the subject matter. After all, as he said, this was no evening to be dwelling on dark things.
She finished the round dance in high spirits, all things considered, and headed to the gardens in search of people and amusements.
She found both.
In one grove, she found a game where people silently acted things out and others tried to correctly guess what they were doing. That seemed to be a great favorite and she watched for some time before moving on. Another three groves were devoted to different card games, none of which Patrice knew how to play. A long flat stretch of trimmed grass had been taken over by some game involving small hoops, balls, and clubs, which she could not make heads or tails of. Yet another small grove showed a minor mage doing tricks for an audience.
Patrice had never seen magic performed before, so she paused to watch. The mage created fire from nothing, which danced in his bare hands without burning. He coaxed a tiny seed to grow and bloom into a full rose, levitated small objects, and guessed the thoughts of others. Patrice clapped politely for each display, however none of those things matched the stories of wild and powerful magic her mother had told her, and she quickly moved on.
She found Felisjyta and Errys involved in a competition with a group of knights at the archery range, a competition which involved not only bows and arrows but also a great quantity of wine. Patrice stopped to watch that too. The competition went by rounds. Any archer who hit the target made it to the next round, but they also had to drain another glass of wine before they could shoot again.
"Patrice!" Felisjyta said when she finished her current round. "You get tired of dancing already?"
"I just wanted to see what else there was to do. Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Oh, immensely," Felisjyta said. "Errys and I found one another and decided to give it a go. Before long all these other morons joined us at it and now here we are!"
"What are you competing for?" Patrice asked.
"Who knows? Maybe a kiss from a beautiful woman if anyone's willing to offer," the knight replied with a wink. Her eyes sparkled and her cheeks were flushed, though from the activity, the alcohol, or both Patrice couldn't tell. Patrice didn't know how to respond to that, so she said nothing. Felisjyta laughed as she accepted a glass of wine that was handed to her, and drained it in a single drink. "We're not competing for anything, we're just having fun. I'm sure I'll regret it tomorrow but I'm too far in to back out now."
All the spectators cheered as a clearly inebriated knight managed to hit the center of the target, more by luck than anything else. He cheered too, and accepted his glass of wine with great ceremony.
Errys joined them as she waited for her next turn.
"You seem to be doing well enough," said Patrice. Compared to the behavior of the other knights, including Felisjyta, Errys seemed to be her normal reserved self.
"It's only wine," Errys said dryly. "Compared to what I drink at home, this may as well be water. Still, it won't be so easy if we have to go on much longer. I can hold my alcohol but even I have limits."
The two knights left at the same time to take their places in a line that still held eight other knights. Patrice watched for a few more rounds, but the knights held on surprisingly well. But why wouldn't they? From what Patrice understood of knights, they trained rough. Trained to fight sick, injured, drugged, or half dead, why should they not be able to fire arrows drunk? When there were still seven knights left she wandered away from that game too, even further into the garden.
There were other games farther out, even more things that she didn't know how to play. In the end, Patrice turned around and walked back through the crowds to the ballroom. She did not go alone.
The Countess Elizabet saw her, and fell into step beside her. "You're really beginning to make a name for yourself, my dear."
"I suppose," Patrice said. "I'm simply trying to be more active."
"Well you have interesting choices in friends. A Serzek, a bastard, a couple of clowns…that won't serve you too well in the future."
Patrice growled. "Thank you for your consideration, but I do believe I'm capable of making my own friends."
The countess tittered. "Most unfortunate, being burgled. The right friends might be able to prevent such things in the future," she said. "Well, you know I have an interest in guiding the young onto the right path. If things turn out badly, you may always turn to me for help."
Patrice had a strong desire to snap at her, but she turned and walked off to join another group of revelers before Patrice could say anything at all. She watched the countess leave, and made a mental note to tell Johan, Rothert, and Petrich to investigate her. She did not like the woman, or the knight who had fought for her in the tournament for that matter. Then Patrice shook her head and continued to the ballroom.

Day 15 - Presence (Extra Credit)
Sanda wondered, as she traipsed through the sweltering city, if Zero had adapted to feel the heat again yet. Dressed in such tight, dark clothing as the voidsent was, she’d surely be feeling it if she had. Sanda certainly was, even with the tactical (as she repeatedly told her sister) holes in her rearper’s garb providing some level of relief from it. Still, better to be sweating most of her fluids than freezing near to death in the icy wastes of Garlemald. Thankfully they would be headed into the relatively temperate Void again, rather than that frozen hell.
Provided Sanda could find Zero, of course.
She’d be lying if she said that she didn’t know why she specifically had been sent to corral the wayward reaper. Arashi, irritating big sister that she was, was attempting unsubtly to play match-maker. Whatever lingering doubts she had about the voidsent had apparently been quelled, but now she had flung herself too far in the other direction. Not that Sanda could deny the rush of… something she felt when around Zero, but she couldn’t help but feel a very different emotion that emerged from her bonded voidsent.
Hunger. She could practically feel Oscuro licking its lips whenever Zero was near.
That one is not your prey. And if you forget that, you’ll be starved of the aether you so desperately crave until your memory returns to you. She felt the creature shrink back in her mind. Oscuro described themselves as an opportunist. Sanda described them as a coward. They had fled back into the Void to avoid true death, and they had attached themselves to Sanda only after trying to ambush and devour her when she picked up her soul crystal. Fear was its only leash, so Sanda made sure to keep it tightly held.
Still, the conflicting emotions made it… difficult to voice them. Quite aside from the fact that Sanda didn’t even know if Zero remembered what romance was. She’d barely gotten the hang of trust, after all. Even then, she had to frame it as bargaining.
Sanda found Zero standing at the edge of one of the great bridges, staring down at the townspeople going about their days. Her face, as usual, was unreadable, but there was the slightest hint of a frown on her face. She seemed to sense Sanda’s eyes on her, for she turned towards the au ra as she approached. Zero’s lips curled into the semblance of a smile. Sanda tried to ignore the effect that small gesture had on her. Zero’s gaze soon returned to the people below her as Sanda approached, though.
“Everyone here is so… carefree.” The frown returned to her otherwise expressionless face. “Unafraid and unconcerned in spite of their weakness, and how easily their lives could be torn apart in an instant.” Sanda remembered the crimson skies, the people becoming monsters before her very eyes, the utmost despair claiming people at random, causing cascades of fear and pain, everything burning, burning, burning…
“You’re wrong.” The words freed themselves from her before she could stop herself. “They’re fully aware of how easily their world could end. That’s why they strive so hard to put it to one side. The people down there survived the Final Days. They’re so much stronger than you know.”
Sanda flushed, unused to such outbursts. Arashi must be rubbing off on me. Still, Zero appeared to have taken her words to heart. She looked upon the people of Radz-at-Han with more consideration. “Perhaps I was wrong. But still, such luxuries as these are lost to us. We have no hopes or dreams – not even the release of death. Only hunger.”
Oscuro stirred again, as if to remind Sanda of that last fact. Sanda shunted it back into its slumber. Zero was looking at her now, Sanda realised. As Sanda met her gaze, Zero tugged her hat down over her eyes, turning away.
“Zenos was the same,” Zero continued. “Lives were as tools to him, to be used and discarded at whim. In that respect, he was a voidsent at heart. But towards your sister, he behaved… differently. And I cannot fathom why.”
Sanda remembered Arashi’s words, her bitter declaration of herself as a weapon. She remembered the near-feral hunger that overtook the vaunted Warrior of Light in battle sometimes. She remembered Arashi throwing herself into the jaws of death over and over again. She said nothing. Whatever else Arashi was, she remained Sanda’s sister. She remained caring to a fault. She remained a woman of strength and conviction that Sanda could only dream of attaining. She was far from the monster Zenos had been, no matter what she thought of herself.
Zero took Sanda’s silence for a lack of knowledge rather than a lack of ability to speak. “But enough of that man. He is dead, and we are better for it. Why are you here? Is there something you needed?”
“We’re making ready to return to the Void,” Sanda replied. “I was sent to retrieve you, if you’re ready.”
Zero nodded. “Very well. As per the terms of our bargain, I will join you.” Then, more quietly. “Thank you. You’ve given me something to consider.”
Sanda had already turned around, so thankfully Zero did not see the blush rise to her cheeks. The pair returned to Varshahn in silence after that.
…
Zero had faced oblivion before. She had known the razor’s edge of its embrace. She had escaped it time and time again. So she knew, as she lay in the snow, that there was no escaping it this time. The same mistakes, the same ends. Again and again. What should I… What could I have done? Memories flooded back to her, of a time before the darkness had taken everything. A time where she had stood her ground… and failed. She remembered nothing else after that. The same weak light shone down on her now. The same darkness was waiting to end her, properly this time. Zero closed her eyes. At least she had bought those soldiers some time. A strange thought to have, at the end of it all, but-
[HELL’S INGRESS]
[GALLOWS]
The voidsent that had been readying its annihilating blast burst apart in a rush of aether. She felt, vaguely, another voidsent greedily devouring what aether it could as the wretched thing’s soul finally found peace. Then she felt someone pulling her to her feet, and an impossible warmth filling her body. “What…?” She opened her eyes to see Sanda supporting her. The two children were present as well. Alphinaud and Alisaie, her flagging mind provided. They were providing a share of their aether to sustain her. Fools. You’ll only weaken yourself. “You? What are you doing here?”
Sanda’s eyes were full of something Zero couldn’t place. “Oscuro warned me of another incursion, so I got here as quickly as I could. Don’t worry, Arashi’s mopping up the remainder of our share with Estinien and Y’shtola.” Concern. That was the emotion there. How strange, that Sanda should feel something so tender towards a mere voidsent such as herself. Stranger still, the odd rush of heat that began burning in Zero’s chest. A different kind of heat than before. Warmer. Stronger.
“Are you able to stand?” asked Alphinaud, the flow of his aether still steadily pouring into her.
“Never mind that, can you fight?” Alisaie blasted a winged voidsent out of the air with a blast of wind-aspected magic. Zero responded by reaching for her scythe, trembling though her hands were.
“Don’t push yourself.” Worry creased the edges of Sanda’s eyes. It steadied her, somehow. I will not fall here. Not while you yet stand.
“...All right. I will let it burn, this fire in my breast! Let it burn and rage.” Zero faced the assorted voidsent before them. “We fight together, Sanda.”

what are your fav kdramas?
Yay! An ask on my main tumblr!! I have SO many favorite k-dramas that I love for different reasons but these are the ones that come to mind that I think about a lot.
Most of My favorite K-dramas:
Extraordinary You/ A Day Found By Chance (fantasy/romance): This magical k-drama has my heart. It plays with all of the predictable tropes and then just goes crazy! While not perfect towards the end, I give this show bonus points for being super creative AND inspiring me to read a LOT of fan fic. I think about this drama more than any other.
Fight for My Way (romcom) I love this drama! The couple is one of my OTPs and it’s really funny and a mostly lighthearted story of a group of friends. It’s down to earth and adorable - I’ve never had anyone complain about this one!
Melo Is My Nature (slice of life): This drama is by far my favorite slice-of-life drama of 2019. Found family, strong and complex characters, I laughed, I cried. Plus a gay character that’s an actual character, with the gay as a casual side note (classy k-drama!!) It was just a perfect show for me. There’s romance, but all of the stories are super interesting.
I think about this drama more than any other and Eun Dan Oh is so special!!
Shopping King Louie (romcom): Ridiculously fun and lighthearted romp following a spoiled and useless chaebol with amnesia who is being taken care of by a country bumpkin in the city. Very low stakes, super adorable couple, and as many tropes as you can fit in your bag, this one is one of my favorites to recommend.
Just Between Lovers (romance/melo): Slice of Life romance between poor trauma babies just trying to live! The OTP is one of my favorite couples EVER and even as the years go on, very few couples have matched their love in my opinion. There’s a lot of comfort/healing themes with for me is just *chef’s kiss.* Lee Junho became my bias wrecker because of that drama.
The Eighth Sense (bl queer romance): This is the only 2023 drama to make this list! It's super atmospheric and has so much more character development than any korean bl I've ever seen. I loved it so much!
Run On: (rom com) This show follows four people in their daily lives: An athletic, a translator, a CEO and an artist. Soft soft couples!! Y'all know I love this slice of life rom com for so many reasons, but you might not know that Kang Tae Oh’s character (the himbo painter) is like one of my dream boys. BLORBO FROM MY SHOWS. Also there is so much bi nuance and an ace character, just saying!
The Best Hit / Hit The Top (romcom): A famous 90′s boyband dude travels into the future and meets up with his family and friends in this really cute drama featuring Yoon Shi Yoon. I LOVE Yoon Shi Yoon in pretty much everything but this role was made for him - he is hilarious. It’s a slice of life but features the k-pop music industry so the setting is unique.
Into The Ring (workplace/romcom): The perfect slice-of-life rom com! Goo Se Ra has trouble holding down a job due to her passionate personality so after she loses her latest job working for the ML, she decides to run for a small government office position because it pays a salary. Literally she does it for the money which is just *chef’s kiss.* The show is about her dealing with local politics and it’s SO FUNNY and smart and the OTP is the best!
Flower of Evil: A psychological thriller centered around a jewelry maker who is running from his past, and his cop wife (power couple alert!) who doesn’t know his original identity. The chemistry of the couple is amazing and all of the characters are nuanced and interesting. I was on the edge of my seat, AND sobbing! I’m going to be rewatching this in 2021 for sure.
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (psychological thriller): This drama has a lot of psychological thriller-y aspects but the style of filming is really interesting and the leads could not be more angsty (especially the guy). It takes them a while to get together and while not entirely pleasant, this show is one of my faves.
Healer: Everyone knows healer will always have my heart and it’s a super popular k-drama. Healer is played by Ji Chang Wook (swoon) and he gets involved with a feisty reporter played by Park Min Young (also swoon). It’s an action adventure with some very classic tropes: Rich people scandals, murders and hidden pasts. But it also has some of my favorite tropes: Beta Male Lead, childhood friends to lovers and traumatic pasts.
Cheating because it's a jdrama: Cherry Magic! (30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii): I know this is a Jdrama but it’s the only drama that got a perfect score from me in 2020! If you’ve never felt like trying a jdrama, Cherry Magic is the one! Every episode was so endearing and sweet, and it even has ace representation, and does it well! I basically smiled the whole time and loved every second. Soft Romance and the best couple!

i mostly spend my time consuming different types of media & literature like movies, tv shows, (video) essays, articles, music & so on (and then analysing it for ages) OR playing card games or other board games, writing (diary, reviews, songs), playing the piano! also grew up in theatre spaces (i was studying theatre & event directing)
books: this is how you lose the time war, letters to a young poet, agggtm series, if we were villains, radio silence & a study in drowning...
tv shows: cw nancy drew, heartbreak high, she-ra, the owl house...
music: ethel cain, mitski, hozier, taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, paris paloma...
i'm not a disney person, i grew up watching barbie movies (guilty pleasure) i also religiously watch safiya nyygard
although i never had a pet growing up, i love cats, also koalas & foxes <3
sorry this is long, i clearly can't pick favourites & i can't shut up :Dd
congrats again !!
I'm going to say James and Sirius!
you're fun and excited about life and I think James would identify and Sirius would appreciate that! I think you and Sirius could spend hours talking about music and songs, and James would love your fave movies and tv shows!
thanks for playing <3

♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?
I know I've mentioned how someone pretended to kill themselves when I refused to rp with them after some red flags hinting they weren't themselves at least 18 and I refused to just have Ras jump in and bone their muse. So to have a different story: When I first started rping I was part of a very small and sequestered group of Forgotten Realms fandom. This group focused around mainly the Neverwinter Nights games. Now there was some crossover for people who played characters from popular series in Forgotten Realms books. Most of these people were seen as community pillars and could do no wrong.
However, as other toxic things started coming to light more and more I could see the rot in this small community. At the time I was in my late early 20s to early mid-20s, and I was one of the oldest people in the community, most only 18-20 years old. The issue? The pillars were the other older people, around my age and one was a guy. Now I am not saying him being a dude was a red flag, however, the shit I was starting to notice was.
He was "monitoring" "trouble makers" in the community that were often young girls and "helping" them with their neediness and mental issues.
See the problem?
He quickly turned against me when I pointed this shit out, and how he had a bunch of young women groveling over him and he was showing unsavory signs of grooming. His beastie in crime then made a public post about killing kids with mental handicaps and when I turned my ire on her, she screamed at me that she has PTSD and I couldn't get mad at her for that.
I basically set a match to the fucking community as most of the good people were now leaving as I and some others were just airing all this shit out. We set fire to the community and bounced. Sadly the events leading to this were so bad some of my rp friends left and never came back. I don't blame them. I honestly stopped rping for several months and debated if like fandoms of this were something I wanted to deal with. Because it was draining.
And it wasn't some petty shit. This is why when the petty drama starts I think I roll my eyes because I went through some heavy, nasty shit and it changes your view on some things. Canceling a rper for using an FC of someone who is unfavorable? I had to watch people scramble to defend a grown-ass man grooming young girls. I don't fucking care if someone is using Chris Pratt as a damn FC.
✮ Have you managed to stay away from drama?
Clearly not going by the top question lol. I also had people try to drag me into some Fallout fandom drama but I managed to dodge that shit, barely.
☀ What’s your rp pet peeve?
I have a few, but omg, people who use their rp blog like it's a "regular blog" and I don't really mean ooc posts, because sometimes I am chatty too and I see you all as friends on some level so it's like, "Hey no dead!" or "omg let me tell you" because I like interacting with you all and not just shitting out replies like a machine.
I mean when you are also posting political things, random ass shit not tied to your muse. where I have to trudge through so much extra shit to find your rp stuff. That just makes me bounce.
#I'm old and learned quickly there are more important things to be mad about#◾ I blinked and the world was gone — ooc

Pankraz Grimshaw & Neo
(Final Fantasy XIV AU)
warning: Alot of fluff
Pankraz laughed sleepily as the big dark haired au ra laid somewhat below him kissing and licking his torso tickling him. The fireplace across the room crackled as it filled the room with warmth, the two were laying in bed as midnight drew near. Small creaks sounds could be heard from the bed as it adjusted for the heavy oversized au ra moving about it on top of the small man.
"Neo...ahhah..that tickles..",Pankraz said in a mix of a giggle and moan as felt the long tongue of his partner go from his naval to up his chest. Quite the longest creak of the bed could be heard as Neo made his way back to hovering over Pankraz entire body. The size difference between them was clear and made Pankraz sweat and grin somewhat as Neo gazed upon him so sweet yet lustful. Beads of sweat already formed on his body as the air grew hotter.
"You look so silly with that face, maker.",Neo said in his husky tone playfully as he bent down to kiss Pankraz's lips but also bite and tongue his mouth making his expression more of a mess. "Ah fuck Neo..you really learned how to mess me up so much...",Pankraz wimpered as the au ra now having suckle his face and stimulated his body motioned for him to open his legs more as readying to claim his body once again just like the last time. "I've learned so much indeed..for you my love. This dragon's soul you gifted me burns with such passion and makes me yearn for you more and more. All I want is to please you.",Neo words rang into Pankraz's ears so gently. He couldn't help but smile and pull the big idiot down once more for a rough bitey kiss.
With his legs spread wide enough Pankraz could do nothing but grip the sheets as he felt the hot impact of Neo's cock drill into his hole. The moan he let out was loud but he tried to hold back some. It was a very tight fit as Neo had increased his size more then ever as believed the pressure the more pleasure Pankraz was having and thats all he wanted was to give him that. The bed creaks were now loud and excessively rapid as the au ra thrusted himself at a good pace as his creator body was turning to a red mess. Tears pricked Pankraz eyes as he tried to hold on but lost his grip multiple times til Neo pinned his wrists as he continued to pound deeply. Pankraz was losing it with his moaning being very loud and the bed creaking nearly matching it in ambience.
It was very obvious what was going on in that inn room and others could hear them with some sorta yelling in cheer. Pankraz usually be so embarrassed by this but his mind was mush now as the sounds of Neo's growls and breath was all he could hear now everything else drowned out. His mouth drooled and eyes streamed tears down his face as his body grew so hot. "I love you..",Faintly Pankraz heard Neo say these words or perhaps he didn't he wasn't quite sure. A small break to not overheat Pankraz Neo gave him a few times during the long three hours he breeded him well into the early morning.
As the hours passed and the sun peaked alittle Neo covered the window with the dark curtain in the room and stood in front of it blocking any sunlight from getting in. He had cleaned Pankraz up hours before and watched him drift off to sleep. He knew it would take a lot of time for him to recover so wanted to give him a few more hours in the peaceful dark as the smallest flare on a bit of the log in the fireplace finally went it aswell. Neo ensured his love was not disturbed and already was thinking of the next time on how to feel even more pleasure. He grabbed one of his favorite books to read,a tale of man & dragon fighting side by side as it bought him such happiness that the two in the book...could be them in his mind as he continued to block the window for a time til left room to get his beloved creator some well needed food and a healing potion...

Keepers Of The Chaos (3)
Summary: Tam, Linh, Dex, Keefe, Biana, and Fitz are part of the tiny fandom for Keeper of the Chaos, and Tam and Linh’s podcast convinces some of their other friends to watch it as well. The group finds themselves strangely invested in this show, where students at Tumblr High School who work together to write about an elf named Sophia, cause incomprehensible chaos, and fight their rival Pinterest High School.
Content warnings: Cursing, religion (Jewish Vackers), and Amsterdam (just in case, I know that was stressful for some people).
Word count: 1621
Notes: Most of the episodes are just events stolen from Lynn's roundup, Dex's memes are here
(Read on AO3)
The life of an amateur meme maker on dumbles dot com was a strange one, that was for sure. After finishing xyr favorite show- Ze-Ra: Monaerchs of Powhir- for the third time, Dex had searched for another show to fill the void in xyr soul. Biana recommended this show called "Keepers of the Chaos" and described it to xem. Xe was doubtful at first, but after watching the first episode, xe was hooked.
Xe used to not have many friends at xyr school, so xe did what every neurodivergent queer teen would do- made an account on dumbles dot com. People seemed to like xem- or at least, they liked dizznee-plus's memes and edits of Ze-Ra characters. Even after Dex befriended xyr squish, Fitz, thons sister, Biana, and aer girlfriend, Sophie, xe continued making content on dumbles. Around that time, the Ze-Ra fandom started dying off, and xyr memes started getting fewer note
In a sudden, two am burst of inspiration, Dex made edits of some of xyr favorite characters, like Ref, Akki, and Rose, with their respective pride flags (all of them bi) over them, and captioned it "we must be gay." The post blew up, or at least, what could be considered blowing up in Keeper of the Chaos's tiny fandom, and that was how Dex found xyr calling as an amateur meme/edit maker for KOTC.
History had been repeating itself, with the KOTC fandom starting to die off, until it was revived by an announcement from creator Saturn Nolastname- a season two would be released soon. Frantically, Dex made a meme about season one episode two, with the car salesman meme. Xe edited "chaos keepers" onto the car salesman, "the rarelynoticed" on the car, and "this bad boy can fit so many stripper outfits into it."
That had been... an interesting episode, to say the least. The chaos keepers had been talking about the antagonists of "Sophie and the Dark Duck"- a rebel group called the Rarelynoticed. In the information packet they'd been given, it was confirmed that the Rarelynoticed wore black cloaks and armbands, but no other clothes had been mentioned. Somehow, the chaos keepers came to the conclusion that the Rarelynoticed really wore neon pink leotards and green stripper heels, then drew this idea.
Needless to say, the Tumblr staff did not let them write that into the book. Nor did Lynn, the unofficially chosen leader of the group. Unfortunately for her, this didn't stop the chaos keepers from drawing more of these- or the fandom from making a ton of memes. In addition to the car salesman meme, a post with Drake saying no to "wearing normal fucking villain outfits" and yes to "leotards and stripper heels" gained popularity within the small fandom.
Though nothing could match the absolute shock of seeing the Rarelynoticed stripper outfit for the first time, Dex decided to rewatch the episode anyway- it was funny to see the chaos keepers freak out, and maybe xe could get some good screen captures. The good Saturn Nolastname indulged xem, and xe captured an excellent scene of most of the chaos keepers either laughing or screaming at the Rarelynoticed stripper outfits, with Kimber- one of xyr favorites- sitting on the side, explaining to Juno and Kaitee why Bianca Cracker was bisexual.
Xe went over to dumbles, posted the picture, added an image description, and captioned it "Live photo of me not caring when my friends talk about sex/romance." Xe chuckled to xemself- this really was how it felt to be aroace. Xe tagged it as aromantic and asexual as well, since dumbles added flag colors. Smiling, xe went to go check xyr notifications.
Xyr jaw dropped when xe saw that @lordofthesnuggles- Fitzroy (Dex didn't know thons middle name) Vacker thonself had liked and reblogged all three of xyr memes, even adding compliments in the tags! Xe'd had a bit of a platonic crush on Fitz for... a really long time, but xe always felt too awkward to talk to thon, so it was nice to see that thon appreciated xyr humor.
Feeling energized- and excited to procrastinate on xyr math homework- Dex went to watch the next episode: Dark Duck Is Jewish Now. Being Jewish xemself, this was a really funny episode to xem.
Lynn had been writing a sort of spinoff- it would be called fanfiction, but it was for her own story- about some of the Dark Duck characters celebrating Christmas, and added a throwaway line about Bianca and Finn Cracker celebrating Hanukkah. Then, her fiance, Shai, had taken that idea and run with it, writing a list of ideas about what would happen if the Cracker family was Jewish. Hir friend Sam had jumped on the idea, and soon they had abandoned writing the actual Dark Duck in favor of writing a story about Jewish Dark Duck characters. Some of the other Jewish chaos keepers, like Ref and Cat, helped out.
To be honest, it kind of surprised Dex that no one had made a joke about the Jewish Crackers just being matzah, so xe supposed xe would have to be the first.
Xe posted that observation, quickly getting a like from Fitz- which made xem smile. After a few minutes, Dex posted another meme: Shai and Sam standing in front of a door with a sign that read "elves don't have religion," and them saying "This sign won't stop me, because I can't read!"
It was accurate.
While that episode was great for Jewish representation, and funny, the Banana Noir episode was just plain weird.
It focused less on the Dark Duck than most of the other episodes, and was more about the crazy interactions of the chaos keepers. The episode was named for Banana Noir, who was really Cat Noir, but in a banana suit. Banana Noir was the son of Mellie, who looked like a shark, and Nora, who had platonically married faer. The mothers tried to arrange a marriage between him and Akki, who loved the side characters of the Dark Duck series. However, Akki wanted to marry Amelia. After a lot of shit that basically no one understood, Banana Noir's attempts were thwarted, and Lynn officiated the wedding between Akki and Amelia.
Yeah, Dex had no idea what the fuck was going on either. Xe'd watched an episode of Twins of the Chaos and a youtube video by arsonpog analyzing the Banana Noir chronicles, as it had been dubbed by the chaos keepers, and both expert opinions seemed to agree that Saturn Nolastname and the rest of the writers had probably been on crack when they made that episode.
The next episode made slightly more sense, though it was a low bar. After taking a break from the "official" Dark Duck story, the chaos keepers began collectively writing a Cinderella story about the characters Sophia and Bianca. People weren't allowed to be queer in the official story, but the chaos keepers still wanted to have fun with their obviously gay characters.
Even to the viewers of the show, who only received secondhand information about the Dark Duck characters, knew there was no way any of them, let alone all of them, were allocishet. The exact identities weren't entirely clear- when Dex had made edits of the characters' official art and xyr headcanons for their pride flags, a few people had disagreed- but both the chaos keepers and the fandom knew that despite what Shannon said, Sophia and Bianca were in love, and their Cinderella story should have made it in to the official Dark Duck story.
While excerpts of the Cinderella story were quoted in the show, most of it was left unclear, so Biana had taken it upon aerself to write aer own version of it. Dex was expecting an update later that day, actually, or maybe the next. Ae wasn't always 100% reliable with aer update schedule. Still, Dex looked forward to when it eventually did come.
After the brief calmness from the Sophianca Cinderella episode, season one episode six, Amsterdam, exploded back into chaos. A few of the chaos keepers decided to discuss a fake scene in the book in which crazy shit went down, with the scene supposedly being located in Amsterdam. It had never been written and was never going to be, but everyone discussed it like it was real. Some of the highlights involved all the Dark Duck girls having swords (and the chaos keepers being gay for them), and a speedboat chase scene through the canals. Fitz had a popular theory that the chaos keepers would actually travel to Amsterdam in order to commemorate this crazy part of their lives. Almost as popular as that was a meme Dex made, with a man labeled "chaos keepers discussing amsterdam" and gesturing feverishly to a wall covered in papers and red string.
Of course, episode seven (Dark Duck Disney) was chaotic too. Everything was chaotic with this group, it was in the title. Shannon announced that the winning Dark Duck story would be adapted into a Disney movie. After past experience with terrible book to movie adaptations, the chaos keepers panicked. They panicked so much that it became major news within their school, which until then, had been largely ignoring the chaos keepers. Once the discussion about the movie settled down, they talked a lot about how in awe they were that their Dark Duck shenanigans were trending within the school.
But of course, none of that compared to the last episode of the season...
Dex changed xyr profile picture to include an ominous pair of teal eyes and sighed.

And in my latest “Entrapdak Fanfic Au ideas based on other properties,” unsurprisingly, we have my take on an Entrapdak Labyrinth.
I actually think this one is cool. I really would like to see it with mini-scenes of the others trapped in the Crypto Castle (you’ll see), but I don’t feel confident enough writing for the Horde Trio, other Horde soldiers of note, or the Rebellion in the field. So would require some help if this were to get off the ground... 😜
We start off basically in canon, with one exception: the Princess Alliance never reaches out to Entrapta. In this AU even the Makers Guild is creeped-out-to-terrified of Dryl, and apparently this is something that’s the result of several generations of isolation and horrifying rumors.
It begins with a strange, non-Horde machine capturing and absconding with Imp. Hordak decides that the Rebellion has, somehow, realized what an invaluable source of intel he would be and thus Hordak will lead the team to recover him. No other motives, of course. None.
And so a terrifying Horde force marches into Dryl, and finds - nothing. Absolutely no resistance whatsoever as they track down to the Crypto Castle. They stay on guard, anticipating a Rebellion trick, but still meet no resistance as they enter the Castle.
This immediately changes, and after a humorous death-defying sequence Hordak is separated from the rest of the Horde soldiers. Now thoroughly furious, Hordak proceeds through the Castle, taking down whatever he can manage and successfully getting past the rest.
Meanwhile, the Princess Alliance has heard of what appears to be an invasion into Dryl, and sets out to do good guy stuff and hopefully win another principality to the Alliance.
I mean, how bad can the reality behind the rumors be?
Throughout the rest of the story there are short vignettes of the Horde and Brightmoon groups. The Horde group would, very quickly, be content to just bunker down and stay put, but the Castle won’t let them. She Ra and co only fare better due to magic and plot armor, and not by much.
If you’re familiar with the webcomic Girl Genius, I see the Crypto Castle here as a lower-end undamaged Castle Hetrodyne, homicidal intentions and sentience modified to match the mood of the story you desire. Basically, the Crypto Castle incorporates even more First Ones tech - with the understanding limited to “Hey that’s a cool effect!” - over multiple generations of Entrapta’s equally mad family.
Meanwhile, this all started because of Entrapta’s favorite personal robot, Emily. Since Entrapta doesn’t leave the Castle much, Emily goes off to record cool stuff for her. While searching through the Fright Zone Emily encounters and, to her mind, befriends Imp. Thinking Entrapta would be equally fascinated by him, she brings him home for a visit.
Imp is less than happy about this entire experience. Emily proves to be annoyingly resistant to being chewed on, he fits in her transportation space but just barely, and then he’s presented to this loud purple person.
Ok, she’s kinda cool. She really likes that he can fly, and that he can repeat stuff. He’s been repeating his favorite phrases from Hordak when he’s working in the Sanctum, the really complicated stuff he doesn’t understand but sounds neat.
Entrapta, on her end, is significantly more interested in Imp than most of the invaders of her Castle. She’s really starting to get fascinated by the sexy-voice engineer guy Imp knows, he sounds like he would be amazing to talk to. And that one guy that’s getting through the Castle, he’s cool, too.
Imagine her reaction when she finds out they’re the same person!

Fairly Odder: episode 10
ok, wth is that. no really, i pause the start to get some early thoughts before starting the full ep to narrate my thoughts as i watch, but really what is that
you recolored Remy for Nate (so they are biologically related?????), and Roy is terrible looking, like you used a flash doll maker that was FOP themed. oh ra i have to reference that to draw him don’t i? nope, not doing that! i draw Tim wrong all the time, i’ll draw Roy wrong too. that is just...no. and WHY?? every other illustrated person was at least canonical; these two chars weren’t. why are you drawn? is that why the Tad and Chad poster (yes i’m still hung up on that!) was illustrated because that’s a default in-universe for some reason? just...why????
Nate has monopoly money
heh love the peanut gallery in the secret service suits.
the Dimm Factor? is this a rebranded Dimmsdale’s Got Talent? i mean, it’s been like...however many years the inconsistent math says...oh wait that episode was a Chloe one, maybe in this timeline that show never existed. yeah ok, that’s better than trying to math.
Shiny Teeth!? kinda too late for that reference.
pfft ok this is Boy Who Would Be Queen levels of wishing
7 min in and we get the theme. weird, didn’t feel that long...then again i harped about the illustrated campaign posters a lot so it was all a blurr anyways
eh...kinda cheaped out that they just painted Roy like a puppet instead of making one. also NOW you remember the “can’t unwish your sibling’s wish” rule huh? seemed a-ok to do that with Codzilla. but lemme guess, Roy can’t unwish it cause he’s not a real boy anymore now right? yup, apparently that’s a rule. i guess that does make sense, seeing as vocal swap wishes have to be made by the voice that started it.
wait, we have a blue fairy (aka a fairy “licensed to work on puppets”)? her name is Brandy-Lynn...and Cosmo’s ex-girlfriend???? when did that happen??? did Momma Cosma set that up? did she approve? everything we’ve learned so far seemed to suggest that she set up all his dates and Wanda was the only girl he dated that she didn’t do that with. and she’s gorgeous...ok...but Cosmo had other girlfriends??
pfft the duck and swam costumes. this is a call back within itself. wow show.
huh you know kids, if the “you can’t use fairy magic to win a competition” rule was in effect, that would be an easy way to fix your puppet problem...or it should make him clam up/go lifeless since in Odd Ball Tim wasn’t allowed to use the magic to score the winning basket. so...there’s still time for that to kick in i guess, seeing as this was the preliminary and not the official competition i guess.
wow, they’re threatening to horribly dismember a child on this children’s show. sure he’s a wooden puppet, and it’s a threat to be turned into chopsticks, but still. threatening horrible dismemberment and murder of a child. nice.
pft Roy is Pinnochio. (hm...should Superverse Roy be a construct/simulacrum)
THAT’s Brandy-Lynn?
uh...huh...well, she’s purple not blue, so cool. and she’s the taller fairy model...like Star and Twinkle, and she has a lightning bolt earring...was she made to match them? but they were robots...who are puppets...holy cow, is THAT the connection?? did Momma Cosma commission Star and Twinkle from Brandy-Lynn? probably not, idk, kinda grasping at straws. still, more fairy lore so...neat?
well this episode was fairly harmless. we got a new fairy, we got terrible and confusing illustrations. we still don’t have an explanation for Nate’s relationship to Remy. moving on!

The Passed Out Princess Chapters 1-2
Pairing: My CMC (Uyu, Dan Byeol) x Suit Saeran
Description: On days 7-9 of Ray’s route, the player is denied food as “Saeran” makes his presence first known. But, what if MC fell very ill under this method of torture due to a medical condition? Sadly, my custom MC, Uyu (full name Dan Byeol), would deal with exactly this dilemma.
Content warning: Descriptions of throwing up, passing out, and meal skipping. Every food related issue mentioned is strictly medical, and based on my own condition.
This was written under the assumption that you have played Ray’s route in full, so route spoilers ahead! This takes place during the very beginning of day 8, and according to the timings and contents of the chat rooms, it would take place before Saeran cuts contact with the RFA and before he installs a camera to monitor MC in her room. It is timed to match closely around to when I’d get sick myself.
My CMC’s condition deals chronic with low blood sugar, meaning she has to eat to keep it up or suffer the consequences as seen here. It is not diabetes related, it is something she is born with as am I and is linked to more complicated matters I left out to keep it simple. Some symptoms include: growing light headed, severe dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and passing out. See all chapters
I wrote this with flexibility for whichever HC for Saeran you follow (DID or BPD), because whether or not he has one of the following, Rika has drilled it in his head that Ray and Saeran are separate entities, and Saeran views it this way. Consider it written the way Cheritz writes him, with nothing exactly too set.

Ping!
The sound of Dan’s phone alerted her to rise and greet the day with a new chat room open.
As the morning sun took its place in the clear blue sky, the little woman sat up in her big bed, bangs sticking out in all directions as her head thumped with a dull pain. Hunger induced pain, she noted, as her stomach felt empty.
Despite the beauty of this early morning, the light pouring through the windows creating a rosy glow which engulfed the princess room; there was no beautiful light shining on the brunette’s new situation, seeming so dreary and dim.
Uyu still found herself wrapped up in this place, whisked away to a castle tucked deep within mountains known as Magenta. Every corner of the building was constructed brick by brick with a beautifully ornate architectural design, but the bright exterior was only a façade. If she was left caged like this for long, what would become of her? Driven to insanity, perhaps she’d attack and claw at the walls which confined her, unable to turn her anger to Saeran, the real victim in all this. The “savior” made it clear she was the true ruling figure who lurked about as the moon rose, the mastermind behind this place’s pain and suffering.
The night before, after being so kindly introduced to “Saeran”, this golden-haired angel confirmed herself to be quite the wicked witch of the west indeed, and it took everything out of Uyu to not call her harsher names to her face.
Mint Eye was hell redecorated to wear the guise of heaven, but pretty gardens and saccharine words could not fool her. Because Dan wore no wool over her eyes, the savior had no intention of allowing her to live long enough to become the new narrator of “The Yellow Wallpaper”; and she had no shoes to click together at the heel to wish her way home with who she came here for originally.
Just as Ray’s suit did, he changed, flipping like a light switch.
Saeran, the name V previously called him by, did succeed in giving her a good fright, his attitude being the least thing she expected to see after Ray’s earlier sobs over the phone.
Uyu was mainly focused on one solid question after their encounter, though. Just what did that “cleansing” entail in full detail? What did this place do to him, to make him weep and beg for a warm hand to hold one minute, only to push back and try to scare her the next?
It was as if he was caught, dragged by the feet somewhere inescapable, a pit damp and dark down under; rising from a shivering grave cold to the touch.
If it weren’t for her position, she wouldn’t have allowed it.
Now more than ever, this room built on the foundation of fantasy and delight felt like a birdcage which barely allowed her to wiggle an arm through its bars. She relied on her song, her sweet words which Ray claimed to tickle at his heart and hold a power over him like no other before. Her goal, of course, was to use this for good, influencing him to learn to appreciate and care for himself like he should. But now, she felt unable to do even that much, not that she’d give up trying.
Saeran wished to dismiss her and her actions entirely, evident from his need to spew the fact that he bestowed upon her the label of being less than a person, his toy. His play thing.
That sick twisting she felt pooling in her gut upon first hearing the term “cleansing” seemed all too in place.
Ray, as sweet as her prince charming was, had a knack for leaving out important details about this museum of wonder. To her best guess, it was done to avoid panic as none of what went on here could be viewed as normal, or ok. He only briefly mentioned things like the “elixir”, such as on the night V arrived to spiral this place’s plans into chaos.
That was the night she could officially mark a great importance in staying, despite the vast network of lies.
Uyu wasn’t entirely stupid, she had an idea of what the elixir might be a while back, but it was still hard to process regardless.
Saeran threatened to give her one of these cleansing ceremonies...and said he could “draw out the maximum pain in the process”, telling her whatever happened to him hurt. A “no duh” moment indeed, but it was confirmation.
Ray suffered, for no reason other than he was too enwrapped in his blooming feelings for her, something that shouldn’t be taken as a negative but was. It displeased the savior that his chains which bound him by the ankles began to jingle with his new yearning to take flight.
She couldn’t allow herself to lie down and give the savior the satisfaction of breaking her, not when she still had so much to do, and not when Saeran and the RFA were at risk.
As the cool night-time air blew around them, feeling its whisper through her long locks of hair, Ray opened up about Mint Eye’s beliefs as a sanctuary for the “weak”, who had no choice but to lock themselves away to avoid further hurt.
He clearly viewed himself as someone in this category. Weak. But Saeran? Saeran shoved and shouted, which felt like a complete opposite to Ray’s whimpers and pleading. He even went as far as to accuse her of manipulation, of treating Ray like a puppet as she watched him dance to the harp she plucked.
Looking past his outburst and itch to watch her squirm, there stood a man seething with hate sparked entirely by twisted lies and his own fears. He gave himself away rather quickly as he attempted to say she messed with “hisna vefeelings” for some “big plan”.
She had to trust that there were boundaries he wouldn’t cross, being so close to her and forceful...and that was where her panic truly lied. But for now, she’d bank on the idea that he just wanted to scare her, staying alert in case he went too far. There were vases around from Ray’s various gifts that could be used as a weapon during the extreme. Unlike her, Saeran had no fighting skills either, but currently she was a bit too ill for those measures.
For once, a room so pink made her feel neither cozy nor at home.
Uyu’s fuzzy morning vision was then attracted to a black blob hanging on the doorknob. With a little eye rub, she made it out to be a dress, and a rather pretty one at that. In the way it was cut, it would expose much of her shoulders and upper back, the top front of it connected to a bow tied around the back of a neck piece with strings of fabric; like an attached choker. She could only assume it was a “gracious gift” bestowed upon her from the man she saw take Ray’s place. Apparently, he has a thing for black.
Her little device chimed again, and then once more, third time giving her the last push of annoyance she needed to reach over and respond to the opened chatroom.
She sighed with relief seeing Seven was the person active online, as she could now pester him with questions about what he was seeing on his end of the fight. They typed away, Uyu expressing concern for both of the hackers as they discussed Ra-Saeran’s new careless and aggressive tactics to snag him a victory.
As time passed, Jumin joined to ask questions as well, mainly circling around the governmental commendation from the Prime Minister to recognize the RFA for their charity work. Uyu stuck to her gut and pushed against the idea of it being a complete positive.
While both V and Seven acted oddly around the idea of the commendation, the RFA was also just a small organization which had only held two parties previous to Rika’s “passing”. The award was too fishy to trust in her judgment, especially now that she understood things going on around here weren’t at all what they had seemed to be.
Mint Eye wasn’t the only organization she was caught in that held its secrets.
After a bit of talking, Jumin agreed that the prime minister’s reasoning had to be figured out before any final decisions could be made. Everyone logged off, Seven returning to the battlefield and Jumin to stitching in his car.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The need for food grew worse.
Uyu showered and changed into the outfit provided…not having much of a choice to do otherwise unless she wanted to rewear old clothing. She felt down and sluggish as she dressed the way her toy maker willed, the dark frills of her attire tickling against her thighs as her step dragged. She was still ok enough to make herself look presentable, even if done at such a pace.
Her hair changed to a solid dark brown color as it took in the shower water, the gold ombré reaching her tips returning upon giving it a blow dry, making sure Saeran would have less to scoff next he saw her. She wasn’t aiming to avoid his crude comments, but instead trying to make herself feel good. Call her smelly all he wants, she knows she isn’t.
Saeran was aiming to play into her insecurities, maybe full well knowing she had so very many of them as he tried to wind her up. The least she could do was confirm his lies to be lies in the ways she knew how, if not for him then for her. She couldn’t allow him to figure out what made her gears stop, whether his words were true or not. This was no game of knife throwing, and she was no target.
11:00 AM crept up on her as she moped around quietly in her dollhouse, waiting for Saeran to come and try to take a good yanking on her marionette strings.
Dan sat upon the bed as the empty-headed feeling and banging in her temple raged, shifting to lay down fully and make herself more comfortable. If she stood for too long, she’d sway and wobble as her vision turned to black, purple and green swirls, momentarily clouding both her sight and mind.
Despite her numerous texts and occasional calls, she still heard nothing from Saeran. Not a peep.
She was growing restless as well as worried for him, and what would become of her as she continued to go unfed.
Her phone buzzed, shifting her attention over to it groggily, eyes half lidded as she wanted to sleep off this sinking feeling. Soon, she’d start to go down like the Titanic as lunch time acted as her iceberg.
Uyu hoped it was her self-proclaimed master, only to let out a grumble seeing that it wasn’t. Instead, it was Zen who had logged on.
She chatted with him, trying her best not to voice her ever-growing discomfort from skipping last night’s dinner as well as that morning’s breakfast, lunch time now creeping just around the corner.
After a quick talk, she’d call Saeran again...as uncomfortable as that conversation would be, it was her only viable option to kill the onslaught of nausea.
As they talked for a while, Yoosung joined the conversation as well….with talk of food; stew he was in the middle of making to be precise. She felt her stomach churn and rumble as the need for rest fell over her like a weighted blanket, being the only escape from the inevitable vomit now building up inside.
She logged off within another couple of seconds as the hot sweat began.
Dan swallowed thickly as her stomach went haywire, guts twisting, coaxing her to run to the toilet and empty out the water she could at least keep herself going on from the bathroom tap.
Leaving her phone on the bed, she rose to her feet best she could, stumbling till she reached the cold tiles of the bathroom floor. There, she fell to her knees, pulling her long hair back and away from her damp face, lifting up the toilet seat before her.
Within a mere moment, she felt the contents claw at the inside of her throat with a burning sensation, attempting to break free. She shuddered as her body suddenly fell in temperature, before allowing whatever her tummy could offer up to slip past her lips, color in her face all too faded away, displaying her illness. Gagging and choking noises echoed throughout the small room as the rather clearish liquid flowed from her mouth, tears from the discomfort blurring her vision as she blinked them away.
She stayed like that by the toilet for a while, throwing up a couple more times before making certain that event was over for the time being. Uyu considered herself extremely lucky that none was able to touch her or end up in her hair, but not nice to say vomiting wasn’t new to her. She knew the tricks.
Oddly, when something like this would happen, it gave her a tiny amount of strength back. It was strangely relieving, although emptying her stomach further. Her tummy was able to untense a tad.
She blew her nose and wiped her eyes before giving it all a flush down.
A fast teeth brush followed before she stumbled over to bed where she had left her phone. She fiddled with the RFA app until she could reach Saeran’s contact profile. Trying not to let the dread of being ignored again wash over her, she dialed up his number, both nervous and praying this time for a response.
After that last fit was over, her condition would move her into another stage, passing out being the only thing to come next without the blood sugar spike she needed.
The ringing went on for what felt like an eternity as she groaned and pressed her face into the pillow.
“Pick up...pick up damn it please pick up…”.
Uyu wished that she had made a bigger fuss over this earlier rather than attempting to swallow it and wait it out. Being distracted by “the savior” and Saeran’s screaming was something she shouldn’t have allowed herself to do in the midst of endangering her own health. What was she thinking? She knew it would reach this point, it always does if left unchecked. She internally cursed herself for not speaking up more assertively.
After another moment, his angry voice finally came through the speaker and she sighed softly with relief. The last she had heard from him was at four in the morning.
“Feeling this lonely and desperate already, hmm? Tch...what makes you think you have the right to contact me over and over again when I’m doing important work unlike you?”
She huffed on the other end, which he paid no mind.
“All you do is fiddle around like a good for nothing. You didn’t seem so happy to chat with me last time we spoke, but now you’re all eager and ready? You’re just itching for another visit aren’t you? Impatient little princess~.”
He let out an airy chuckle, finding her repeated acts of calling him rather amusing.
“Don’t worry. I have play time all planned out for you soon, you pest. I’ll bother you ten times more than you ever bothered me-”
She cut off his angry rambling, mumbling quietly as she spoke.
“Saeran...can you please come here? I’m not well right now and I don’t know how much longer I can keep myself functioning...I already threw up-”
“Speak up, you complainer! Seriously? You want to see me so badly that you’d put on an elaborate show? Princess...you can’t win any sort of sympathy from me by acting like a brat. Ugg, I’m going to hang up now. I’ll be imagining the million ways I can punish you for this later, stupid toy. I’m busy! Too busy for a bug like you to understand! You waste my time-”
“Wait please...please come here...it’s harder for me to explain over the phone. I...mentioned this problem earlier..please…”
And she had, briefly attempting to bring it up as he invaded a chat room between her and Jaehee.
“Begging now?”
He took on a sad tone of childish mockery as he continued.
“Please please please...please come see me... AHAHA! You airhead. I know what your medical records look like, and therefore I know you’re spinning a lie. You’re not to be trusted just as my savior says. There’s nothing there pertaining to some sort of eating issue other than the fact that your weak little body can’t handle milk…‘Uyu’~.”
He teased at her chosen nickname, and while the irony was why it was picked, this was less than fun.
“Now quit whining over an empty stomach when it hasn’t even been a full day! It’s no fun to see you give up so fast!”
Dan tried her best not to slur her speech, the task assigned to speak up being too hard of one to follow.
“Fine...fine don’t believe me. But…..it doesn’t hurt to come anyways. Since you want to see me suffer….or whatever….”
“Or whatever??? Toy, if I come see you right now...you won’t like what you’re going to get. I haven’t an ounce of pity in me to give you if that’s what you’re searching for. I'm not the type to let you rest in my lap as I stroke your hair and tell you it will be alright, and I won’t give in and feed you. Instead, I’ll make sure you never wish to call me again.”
“...ok…”
“Ok? Ok?? Haha! ...ok then. Let’s see how pathetic you’ve become as you beg and plead to me in person, little actor. Playtime is happening earlier today than I had planned. Congratulations! I’m extra pissed.”
Call ended.
She let out a puff of air, dropping her phone down next to her before closing her eyes, not bothering to stand in preparation for his arrival.

Just Us (Chapter Five: Capital)
← Chapter Four
“I know that horse hates me. It wouldn’t let me sleep and it almost bit my hair!” Levi rolled his eyes as he tied both horses to the hitch near the marketplace. We had gotten to the capital in the early morning and I made Levi stand watch while I got some sleep on the grass by the gates before we went in. When I slept, the horse I was riding tried to kill me and he didn’t even try to help.
Once I was awake all Levi had to do was show his face and they knew exactly who he was. I didn’t even have to show my Trost Citizen District card as they just let us through. I guess his fame carries all the way to the capital and I was not complaining. Also I wouldn’t tell him, but it was definitely worth it taking horseback and not the ferry even if we didn’t talk much. He yelled at me that if I talked on a horse, I would bite my tongue off and I didn’t want to take the risk.
“She knows you’re scared of her. She took advantage of the situation,” he pet the horse on the nose and I glared at him before looking down at the list. Coffee beans, tea, sugar cubes, honey, apples, and on and on it went. Another reason I was grateful we took horses is that I wouldn’t have to lug all of this stuff through a security check and then on and off the boat. Still can’t tell Levi that.
“What do you need to get?” He almost ripped the list when he took it out of my hands and I took notice of how he was acting. As soon as we stepped into the gates, he ran to the horse hitch. He wanted to get in and out of Mitras as fast as he could. I wondered why he was so on edge here, but if I had to guess it might be how close we were to either the Underground or the Royal Government. Which one would Levi hate the most?
“Everything on that list plus gifts for the people on the back.” He flipped it over and inspected the names. We started walking, him standing a step behind me. Probably some tactical move.
“I’m still on here?”
“Of course you are.” That seemed to shut him up for a long time. I would just go from one stall to the next picking up the best deals on the small stock of honey and apples in the winter season. I had also played around with the man selling sugar cubes and got three packs for the price of one, easily. This all happened while Levi just stood behind me. I could sometimes feel the warmth on my back as he, too, leaned into the stalls to see what I was buying. It was comforting to have him behind me, but again, I wouldn’t say anything to him
Going deeper and deeper into the Mitras market, things were getting more expensive and the bags and baskets we were carrying were getting heavier. All I needed to get was the tea from the shady Underground dealer, the toy I was going to get Elias, and whatever I was thinking about getting Levi. Somehow I was going to have to ask him to stop following me so I could buy it.
“I have to go talk to that Underground dealer to get tea. Maybe you shouldn’t come? It hasn’t been a while since you left so…” He looked down at the list again and noticed there was nothing more to get either. I would have to go get the tea either way and I could tell he didn’t want to tag along. I concluded it was the Underground he hated more.
“I’ll go over there and look for Erwin’s gift.” He pointed to some random stalls on the opposite side of the street. From there, he probably could still see me, but be far enough away from the Underground area as he wouldn’t have to see anyone there. I also noticed that was probably the first sentence he had said to me since we started walking through the market. I’d comment on that later.
I waved him off and turned to go down the street to Marcus. He was an older man and definitely also a con artist who enjoyed selling tea on his off days. While Marcus was nice, I had to study up on the actual prices and places of tea before he tried to scam me of my money. The first peppermint tea I had bought, the small quantity Levi had gone through, he had charged me double of what it should be. What should I expect though? He’s a conman. I just had a soft spot for people from the Underground, hoping they would turn out for the better. The only person I’ve seen who’s ever done that would be Levi.
“Miss Evylnn! I didn’t see you last month! What can I get my best customer?” I rolled my eyes at him and looked at the tea leaves he had set out. I needed specialty teas. One powdered tea for baking and the special peppermint tea for my single customer.
“I need this Earl Grey and this peppermint tea. The powder for the first one. How much?” He rubbed his chin, thinking of how to con me out of my money.
“Well, since Earl Grey is popular this time of year, I’ll have to charge you more for that one. I’m on low supply, high demand. The peppermint will be the regular price.” I looked around him and saw the various other people buying things in the stalls to his left and right.
“I don’t see the high demand, Marcus. Isn’t this the busiest time of day for the market?” He scratched the back of his head, looking for another out.
“You just haven’t come at the right time for this part of the street.”
“Oh, that must be it.” I looked around his stall again and saw something in the back that caught my attention. It was perfect.
“Marcus, how much is that?” I pointed to the open box and he seemed to smirk at my interest. He was going to charge me an arm and a leg for it I could just tell.
“If you buy the tea at full price, I’ll throw it in for free.” Taking a few seconds I calculated it in my head and I was probably winning this deal. I held out my hand to him.
“Deal. Can you wrap the box up for me?”
When I met back up with Levi, he seemed to have procured a small box himself and when I leaned over to inspect it, it he pulled it behind his back.
“What’s that?” He turned his nose up to the sky, looking down at me.
“None of your business.” I scrunched up my nose and stood up straight again.
“We have to get Elias a gift and then we can get something to eat somewhere. What food do you like?” We started walking again in the same formation; Levi behind me on my right.
“Don’t care.” He was back to it again: mumbling short phrases while glaring at everyone who walked by. I told him this is why people talk about him, but he didn’t respond to that either. Walking around to a few more stalls, I came across the toy dealer I knew would have what I wanted.
“Good afternoon, Miss… C-Captain Levi!” The toy maker bowed, “I-It’s nice to see you in the capital again!” Levi just grunted at the man who laughed his dismissal off. There were many wooden toys to choose from and a lot that were out of my price range. Hm, if I were an eight-year-old boy, what would I want?
“When you were eight, what did you play with?” It was a question I threw up in the air and I didn’t expect him to actually answer it. When he did, something caught in my throat and I coughed.
“A knife.” I think even the toy maker took a second to make sure he heard him right. Again, no helping the rumors at all.
I shook my head and reworded my question, “When you were eight, what did you want to play with?” I was switching between a figure of a soldier or a small train. I don’t remember anything that Elias specifically liked and he, as poor as they were, didn’t even have a lot of toys. If I got him anything, he’d be grateful.
“The horse.” He pointed from behind me at the horse figurine that was on top of the shelf. It had joints so that it could move and it wasn’t completely stiff like the other wood ones I was looking at. Sadly, it was a bit steep in price. It would run me out of all the extra money I had allotted for dinner.
“Hm, too bad it’s a bit expensive.” The toy maker seemed to jump on me as soon as I said that, holding the horse out for me to touch. For it’s price, it probably was sitting there for a long time.
“I can give you a discount! Twenty percent off of the original price! Just in time for the year-end festival. All of the joints in this horse can move and even can support any matching soldier figure. The one you were previously looking at would fit perfectly!” I waved my hand at him and went back to looking at the soldiers.
“No thank you, it’s still out of my price ra-”
“I can buy it. How much is it? Do you want the soldier too?” I quickly turned back to look at Levi who had his wallet out and ready. I knew he was getting paid a bit more for his rank, but the Scouts were getting paid the least out of all the military. He didn’t even know Elias, so he shouldn’t have to buy something to pick up my burden.
“No, no. It’s fine, I’ll just buy the soldier. It’s too much.” He raised his eyebrow at me and made sure I saw him hand over the money notes to the toy maker. It was him asserting dominance, making sure I knew he didn’t care. My mouth was wide when the toy maker handed him the box that the horse came in and he put in with everything else.
“Miss, do you still want to buy the soldier?” I made sure to step right in front of Levi so he couldn’t dish out any more money than he’d already had.
“Yes, please. I can just put it in the box with the horse.” The toy maker seemed to be very happy at the amount of money he just made and his shit-eating grin didn’t go away when we did. I don’t know what I was feeling, but I was a bit angry that he just went out and bought the gift. Not angry because I wanted to get it for Elias, but angry because I know Levi doesn’t earn a lot of money in the first place.
“I’m paying for lunch,” He shrugged and just went back into formation, “I’m going to pick where we go too. So deal with it.” No answer. Not even a grunt. It was annoying that this was the third or forth thing I’ve let him just do. Cleaning the café, coming to the capital, and then this. I didn’t think he’d be such a giving person like this even if he tried to cover it up.
The tavern I chose was a bit crowded, but we chose to sit in the back away from everyone else. I sighed when I got to put the heavy bags down and stretch out my shoulders. Levi did the same, but more quietly than I did. When the waitress came over, I even ordered for us because he didn’t speak up at all. It was back to quiet, silent Levi.
I sat there, tapping my finger on the wooden table, just staring at him in wait. He knew I was looking at him, but apparently the water they had brought over was much more entertaining. Just sipping away at it until he needed a refill. We were going to play this game all day because I wasn’t about to break.
At this point, I was bored, so I reached into my bag to replace some of the peeling bandages on my fingers. He just watched me do that for what seemed like forever. It was agonizing waiting for him to say something and I knew that I’d probably be run into insanity by his silence before he would lose. He knew we were playing a game. Even while we ate, in complete silence, I couldn’t stop myself from glaring at him. His expression, or lack-of, stayed the same throughout. I think the waitress saw this and barely came back to our table.
Soon, it came time to actually discuss important things like “When are we going back?” or “Do you need to sleep before we ride back to Trost?”, but I still was too stubborn to say anything. We could sit in this tavern the whole night for all I cared, I wasn’t losing.
Then the check came.
As soon as she put the piece of paper down, she ran away from the war zone. Both of our hands shot out to try and take it away from the other. Our hands landed on each other and mine was victoriously on the bottom, touching the check. I broke my glare for the first time to smirk up at him and rub it in.
“Tch,” He took his hand off and leaned back on the chair in his favorite position. With the smirk still on my face, I took out the money needed to pay for our silent lunch. That win definitely got me feeling better.
“Why do you buy those two kids gifts?” He took another sip of water. Him breaking silence was acknowledging my win.
“Their father is part of that wall cult, so they don’t celebrate any holidays, and the mom drinks herself to near death every night. They’re good kids, too, so they deserve something nice. Sometimes they come and clean for me to get some free muffins.” He nodded and switched the leg that was crossed.
“What did you get the girl?”
“A dress and a book. She doesn’t have a lot of clothes and most of them are hand-me-downs from me. Their family was a friend of Mr. Flynn.”
“Your caretaker?” I realized that this was the first time we were actually talking about my past. Never during late night tea did we talk about things like this because it would ruin our game. I wondered what changed this time for him to feel comfortable talking about things like this. I was always ready to get to know and understand him, but it was the wall he built around us that didn’t allow me. The wall that kept everything he wanted out.
“Yes, he took me in when I was twelve,” I looked out the window at the market again, “It was around here, too. Crazy to think it was so long ago.”
“You got out earlier than I did.” I looked back at him and nodded, resting my head on my hand. It hasn’t been a long time for him at all. I've wanted to ask Levi for a long time about his time in the Underground, specifically to see if it aligns to anything I did or saw. Something I thought that it would be nice to see if we’ve met before, but I doubt that was the case. Most of the time I was locked up in a small room.
“There’s a place in the Royal Military Barracks for Scouts to stay when they visit Mitras. I have an office and a room there, so we can stay for the night. I’ll just have to sneak you in.” I nodded again. This would be fun, I’ve never been in a government building before.
“Do you have an extra cape or something? I can wear that. We’re the same size.” He scoffed and almost slammed his cup on the table.
“We are not the same size. I am taller and much more muscular.” I raised an eyebrow and made the decision to tease him. He seemed to be really adamant about this issue of size.
“You’re only taller by a few centimeters. The first time I saw you that was what I thought. Short.” He glared at me, grey eyes cutting through my brown ones.
“I can beat everyone’s ass in this tavern including yours.” I held my hands up and shrugged. This was going to be fun and perhaps it would win me another point.
“I think your attitude just compensates. You don’t want to hit me.” It was his turn to raise an eyebrow like I was wrong.
“Compensates?” I rested my head on my hand again, leaning in a bit closer. He did the same to try and assert his dominance, making sure he was looking down at me.
“You act so tough because you’re so short. So you’re compensating.” His eyes were on fire now. It was like he was struggling to keep his composure and think about something witty enough to say back. Maybe I should add flustered to the list, I’d definitely win a lot of points.
“I can assure you, I don’t need to compensate,” he hissed out. It was time to go in for the kill shot. Lowering my voice, I leaned in further.
“Oh, so not for your height or for your . .?” He stood up almost knocking the chair over behind him. The light coming in from the window told me that, even with his head lowered, I’d won another point. Blush.
“I’m going to get the horses.”
Shivering, I put on the extra cape that he had and handed him my warm, winter coat. He had insisted that we would be caught if I wore my cape over my coat because “that’s not what Scouts do”. It was payback for earlier and probably for making him walk around the capital for a few more hours with me while I relentlessly teased him. I couldn’t help it, it was just so easy to do it with him. You say one suggestive thing and he stutters or blushes. I guess he didn’t have time in the Underground for those types of things seeing how uncomfortable it made him. Captain Levi became a stuttering mess when talking about suggestive things. I scored one more blush point and I decided to add flustered to the game because that’s where I was making big money.
“Can we please go inside?” My teeth started chattering and he was enjoying the pain I was going through. Touché, Captain.
“Sorry, this one box just won’t close. I don’t know how to get the soldier in.” I took one, calming breath and closed my eyes before taking it out of his hands and putting it in myself. He had just stood there for five minutes doing nothing.
“There, now can we go?” He shrugged and started walking towards the side door of the building ever so slowly. I beat him to the door and reached to open in, but it was locked. As he evilly laughed, I groaned out loud. That laugh didn’t count for a point.
“Why are you in such a rush? The snow looks beautiful in the moonlight.” I clenched my jaw and stuffed my hands in my armpits, waiting for him to get to the damn door. My groaning was only going to make him walk slower.
He finally reached the door and pulled out a ring of keys. Thankfully, he didn’t try to play with me and try every single key he knew was wrong. He opened the door and I almost ran in before he grabbed me to hold me back. I protested out loud again, but he put me down and pulled the hood of the cape up, patting my head once. Looking up, I glared at him again, making sure he knew how annoyed I was at him.
“Wearing my cape, you look like you’d make a good Scout.” If I wasn’t annoyed, it would have been a touching gesture. When we got all the way inside and I forced him to use the empty fireplace in his office, then I got to thinking about it again. Was that his twisted way of saying I looked good in his cape? If he was trying to play the same game I was this morning, he was going to have to get better at it.
“Wearing my cape, you look like a good Scout.” I mimicked his deep voice as I put my hands up to the fire.
“What was that, cadet?” Looking over my shoulder, I glared at him and he smirked. He had insisted that he had piles of paperwork to do and I knew he had dug in the back of his drawers to try and make it seem true. An office that you rarely come to and you have piles of work? He knew it was a bad lie. And cadet? He wouldn’t stop calling me that since I put on this cape. If I wasn’t so cold without it, I’d have taken it off by now.
“Nothing, Captain.” I stuck my tongue out at him and turned back around to the fire. Whatever scary hold he had over his actual cadets wouldn’t work on me. He probably couldn’t punish me for defiance like he does to them. I’m under no military order to comply with him.
“Do you want some tea? I only have regular black here though.”
“Uh, sure. I can make it.” I turned to stand up and he held up his hand.
“No, just get warm. I can’t have you complaining this whole time.” What a sick way of showing you care for people. I decided to disobey his order because I wasn’t a cadet and went to sit in the big chair facing his desk. It wasn’t that comfortable.
“I don’t think anyone has come in and sat in that chair so nonchalantly as you.” His back was to me as he worked on making tea in the little built-in to the right of his desk. I could barely see him because his office was only illuminated by firelight. The moon was on the opposite side of the giant windows behind his desk, so it was just completely dark. There was also nothing on his desk or the walls to even give a tiny strip of light. The dark lord liked working in the dark. I wonder what his eyesight is like.
“I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only civilians who’s ever come into this office. Does Commander Erwin come in here?” He nodded and turned around with two teacups.
“You’re right, you are the first. Commander Erwin, Hange, Mike, disobedient cadets; those are usually who come in here.” I nodded like I knew who any of those other people were.
“Is your office by Trost as big as this one?” It seemed like the piles of paperwork he needed to do magically disappeared as he leaned back in his big chair with his cup.
“No, it’s probably half this size. The fireplace is also very small, just enough for heating the room. Then the bedroom is connected in that corner, the bathroom next to it. In here, the bedroom is across the hall. That’s where you will be sleeping.”
“Where are you sleeping?” He pointed to the couch behind me that was touching the wall. It looked to be the same uncomfortable material as the chair I was sitting in. That wouldn’t be comfortable to sleep in. I turned back and frowned at him.
“That’s got to be uncomfortable. You didn’t sleep yesterday, and now you’re not going to get any sleep on that.” I threw my legs over the arm of my chair and leaned back so my head was hanging off the other side.
“You’re telling me that pose you’re doing isn’t either? And if I don’t sleep there, where else? The floor?” I didn’t know how he was going to react to my suggestion. We sleep five feet away from each other sometimes, so what’s the difference about, say, two feet in a bed?
“With me.” He stopped drinking, but was definitely trying not to show any reaction to what I said. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with the suggestion, and it wasn’t like that, but maybe my teasing this morning made his mind go to that. That was my fault. The look he was giving me right now had to be because of that. I’d have to tell him it wasn’t like that at all.
“N-Not like that,” I gave a fake laugh and put my hands up, “I was just thinking that if you slept in an actual bed it would be better for you to get sleep. This chair is really uncomfortable so I can’t imagine what it’s like sleeping on that couch.” He cleared his throat and put down the cup. It looked like he composed himself.
“I rarely sleep more than a few hours anyways. I’ve slept on that couch before, it’s fine, Eva.” I shook my head fast, trying to win on this. I felt bad I was taking it from him.
“I’ll even face the other way the whole time if you’re uncomfortable. I didn’t think you’d be one of those people who feels un-” He looked annoyed.
“I saw you sleep on the grass before we came to Mitras. If anything, I’d get more sleep on that couch versus you thrashing around in bed.” My mouth dropped. Did he have to insult me all the time like this?
“I don’t trash! It was the grass, I just wasn’t comfortable!” He smiled this time. No smirk. That was worth ten points. I smiled back at him and he instantly dropped it. Ugh. He looks so handsome when he smiles, why can’t he do it more.
“I bet people wouldn’t say the stuff they do about you if you smiled like that more.” He went back to doing the fake paperwork.
“What do they say about me?” I sat up straight again as the blood was rushing to my head.
“Mean. Scary. Intimidating. You can finish the list. I don’t think it’s all true because I’m not scared of you and I’m, like, the nicest person I know.” I pointed to my chest and he rolled his eyes signing something. His signature was really intricate. I tried to mimic it in my palm. My signature wasn’t that pretty, it was annoying he was this perfect.
“Well, I obviously am not acting myself around you then.” I switched my finger to point at him and he looked up to me again.
“No, I think you are acting like yourself around me.” He scoffed lightly and didn’t say anything in return. I made a noise to make fun of him and just rested my head in my hands staring at him so work. He was probably going to do that the whole night if I stayed here.
“What time is it?” He quickly glanced at the clock on his desk, not stopping his writing.
“Near eleven. You wanting to talk about your new recipe for croissants made dinner extend for more than a few hours.” I stuck my tongue out at him again, making sure his insult didn’t land. At least he was listening.
“Why did you buy Elias the horse? Scouts dot earn a lot of money.” He tched me again.
“I have more than enough money.”
“Yeah, but why?” He was silent for a bit, finishing something he was writing.
“You asked what I would’ve wanted at eight. I just wanted to give an eight year old what I didn’t have back then.” My heart swelled and all my anger about him buying it melted away. That’s so nice. He’s nice and he doesn’t even know it.
I stayed there for what felt like another hour, just saying a few sentences here and there. Some he answered, others he grunted, but to the most of them he didn’t say anything. He was really concentrating on the fake paperwork, it made me think it was actually real for a second. My staring finally ended when I yawned too long for my liking. Yeah, it was bedtime.
“Wake me up when you want to leave. I’m quick to get ready.” I stood and held my hand to say goodbye as I walked to the door.
“Make sure there’s no one in the hallway when you go in. If I’m really as intimidating as you say, people are probably jumping to get dirt on me.”
“I’ll make sure to have a conversation with the MPs on my way over.” I don’t know if that made him laugh because I walked out and right into his room. It was as bare as his office. Just one full sized bed, a window, a desk, and a tall set of drawers. It was cold too, with no fireplace or heater for warmth. Guess I freeze.
I walked over to the dresser and looked for a shirt to wear that wasn’t thin like my own. He wouldn’t miss one of the same white long sleeves he has. I pulled one out and put it on. He had never worn these. They just smelled like laundry and that’s not what he smells like.
“Ew. How do I know what he smells like?” I shook my head and looked around again. His room was really empty. I wonder what the one outside of Trost looks like. He lives in that one regularly so it can’t be like this. I hoped it wasn’t like this or I might just have to do a remodel to make him mad.
Laying down in bed, I finally had the moonlight on my face. This bed also hadn’t been slept in for a long time. Nothing looked lived in or smelled like him. Ugh. I got to stop saying that. I looked up at the wall trying to will myself to sleep knowing he was going to wake me up at an ungodly hour.
Mint, lemon, and… what was the third one? I couldn't figure it out since he only left traces, but there was a third one. Mint from tea, lemon from cleaning soap, and… what the hell what the third one?
I turned over, pulling the covers under my arm. Wearing his shirt and thinking about what he smells like. Great, good one, Eva. I even offered him this bed, too. It’s a good thing I didn’t because we would be back to back right now… which wasn’t a bad thing now that I’m thinking about it.
I tensed up and looked down at my stomach. Oh no, Eva. What did you get yourself into? Or, rather, how long did I know I was going to get myself in this situation and didn’t care?
How… How do you know you like a boy?

Glimmadora
ill do the first two form the kids one for this since i havent gotten kid questions
13. what is their name(s)? is there any significance to it? any nicknames they go by? or cute pet names their parents give them?
Their names are Harper, Mira, and Micah. Harper got her name after the Lyra constellation and to math with the 'er' like Glimmer (and it matches with her powers). Since she takes after Adora a lot and when little, would follow her mom around like a little shadow, Glimmer dubbed her 'Adora Jr' or just 'AJ' for short and almost always calls her that. Of course she also goes by Harp.
Mira was named after an actual shooting star (and originally she was gonna have healing powers so she was short for Miracles but that idea was cut). It also was to match both the 'ra' with Adora and 'Mi' with her twin brother, Micah. She gets called 'Mimi' a lot.
Micah is named after his grandpa. In this au, Micah is dead. I made the kids long before he came back so I didn't want to change it (so Angella is still alive). He matches up with his twin. He sometimes gets called Micah Jr, or MJ, and Mic, but he gets called 'Mikey' the most
14. how were they like as small children? did their personality change drastically as they grew older?
Harper always would want to join her mothers in on meetings, wanting to learn everything she can since she will one day be queen. She still very much is curious and tries to take her role seriously.
Mira and Micah could not be separated when they spelt as kid. Mira yeah always was a night owl and might sometimes keep Micah up but if Micah was removed so he could sleep, he would cry until he was put back with Mira (who also wasn't happy). They did grow out of it eventually.
Micah is pretty much the same. More quiet and reserved but as he grows older he does grow confidences. Mira...there is a lot to Mira. She always was a trouble maker but as she grows older, she gets like a darkness? she doesnt talk about it a lot but she HATES she doesn't have powers and will never get wings so there is resentment there that grows and grows until it finally breaks.
