that anon was so unnecessary. a year ago you were posting about running and adventure and now you can't even walk to get groceries. why is anyone trying to discredit your problems just because other people also have problems? wtf? illness isn't a competition, that anon was so out of line and hypocritical.
honestly im just too tired to deal with anons nonsense. if a friend actually has an issue with me they need to confront me with their name attached. if anon is not a friend then i literally do not have the energy to care.
also yeah i miss running like i miss air. i did thirty minutes of light (extremely light!) cardio today in the form of dance and even that set me back all afternoon :( but its better than last week where i couldnt even do cardio for longer than three minutes - i could only move in dance ish motions and try not to lose balance and tip over.
chronic illness is hard to talk about. its legitimately scary and most people who are healthy don't want to deal with it. im talking about it on my invisible little blog on the internet just to...have some place to put my own emotions about it. i invite anyone else to do the same. on their own blog.

Hii could you make a post on controlling bad habits ( po*n, mastur*ation,smoking ,etc ) and then completely stopping them by the time ? If you're uncomfortable then it's completely okay to ignore my request š .

Hey love! Breaking from habits that have been kept for long periods will be difficult, and the majority of the time you will find yourself backsliding. But since you are already aware of the problem, that's step one complete (being willing to change).
Here are some questions you can ask yourself: 1) When did it start and do you know why? 2) When do you feel the urge to watch/do that thing? 3) What do you get out of it that makes you keep going back? What makes it tempting?
For po*nography, I suggest downloading a web blocker or an app timer. You can select the websites you usually go on and block them, or set a timer for that certain app and set it to 0 minutes every single day. This means you will not be able to go on it at all unless you mess around with the time or delete the app. With these sort of apps or web blockers, I think there are options to block it until a certain time of the day. You can set it to a time you know you wouldn't really be active, like very early in the morning (for example 2am, or 3am). With that on you can be certain that you cannot bypass the blocker or timer. Mastur*bation is very much self-control and might be more difficult. For this, I think keeping yourself busy is very important in controlling yourself. As soon as you think about doing it, go do something else immediately. Do something that would really take your mind off somewhere else, for example exercising. Go for a walk or talk to someone on the phone, just something that would stop your brain from thinking about it or pushing yourself into a social situation which would obviously stop you from doing it. I'm not quite sure how to advise smoking habits. Since this is also a very self-control and mental battle, it will also be kind of difficult to refrain from. Breaking smoking is also determined by how addicted you are. But I think limiting and reducing the amount you would usually smoke slowly until it's a significantly smaller amount than what you would usually have, then completely irradicating it would be a good option. Again, I also think keeping yourself busy would be a good thing to do like going on walks instead of having a smoking break. I believe that people's environments are a big factor in breaking habits. It may be slightly easier to stay away from smoking if not many people around you are doing it. So if your friends are smoking/vaping and it has become like a social hangout thing, then self-control around them will be hard. Also just being aware of the dangers of smoking and the effect it can have on your body and life might bring you a reality shock into trying to stop it. I think the key to breaking bad habits is self-control, substitution and rewards. Download an app specifically for timing how long it's been since you've done the bad habit. Once you have reached a milestone. You can give yourself a small reward like throwing yourself a mini celebration. Replacing bad habits with good ones is also a thing to consider. Maybe you like the outdoors, so instead of doing that bad habit, you can go outside for how ever long you feel like it and associate that urge with going for a walk to the park or wherever else.

really stupid trivial things im doing to try to help the pots and the mystery symptoms:
singing. supposedly this activates the nerve that controls the heart/brain/stomach. and pots deregulates that nerve. so i sing all the time now, whenever i can. i have no idea if this is helping. however i did notice that when this started and the symptoms were really scary, if i called a friend and talked or made a video of myself talking it seemed to make me feel better. singing is sort of my lonely girl replacement for calling a friend.
cold showers. this one is the biggest transformation. 100% helped the pots symptoms in the morning. hot showers would make the dizziness worse but cold showers calm it. and it puts me in a sort of meditative state. its also supposed to activate that nerve but again who knows lol. the downside is fucking cold showers are miserable.
timing meal times exactly 5 hrs apart to allow for a single hr where my brain is 'normal'. this is not so successful as sleeping is hard and i dont fall asleep early enough or get up early enough to keep breakfast and lunch 5 hrs apart.
compression tights. this actually seems to be helping but only if i use the lightest level of compression - normal socks almost work just as well. i suspect this is because my pots is technically 'not severe' (the brain fog and dizziness says otherwise but at least this means my heart isnt struggling too hard)
salt/water. this is so much harder than it sounds. balancing out the amount of salt to water intake is delicate and a pain in the ass. yesterday i had too little water because i was at the event all night and not drinking regularly and it fucked me up.
mastur"bation. okay, this is the funny one. i cant exercise so i was like well what can i do to release endorphins that doesn't require running. yeah. hilariously its working well, my mood is better on the days i dont skip my morning personal time. my blogs š tag has been getting a lot of use lately lmaoooo. honestly im just glad my se"x drive hasn't disappeared again - supposedly vag"nal dryness can be one of the symptoms of the auto immune thing in addition to my dry eyes and hands and throat but uh. absolutely noooooo problem there with me. nice and wet LOL. im kinda hoping maybe this means there is a chance its not auto immune related.
