Strawberry Picking and Hato Bus Tour

So, we went on the Hato Bus Tour. It's a bit late, but here's a report on the event. The schedule was:

8:00 AM: Meet in Shinjuku

8:40 AM: Departure

Trip to Nagatoro Town in Saitama Prefecture, where we visited Hodosan to view the plum blossoms (we took the ropeway).

Lunch at Seibu Nagatoro Hotel.

Then, we went strawberry picking in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture.

We returned to Shinjuku at 6:00 PM.

Of course Kami and all the members seemed to have a great time. As for everyone who participated… there's no need to say anything more, right? Now, please enjoy along with the photos.

As you can see from the two photos above, the “MaCheri” part of the tour name was somehow changed to "MaSeri", which gave us a big laugh. This happened at the hotel where we had lunch (even though the name on the bus was correct...).

I was influenced by an an artist on pixiv :  ませり (Maseri) / https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/9988934  ...she/he does an amazing work on story writting and gosh the drawings are divine! If you really like Sengen, you should go check it out ;)

M106’ya Doğru Bir Bakış

Bu kozmik manzarada büyük, parlak, güzel spiral Messier 106 hakim. Neredeyse iki derece genişlikteki teleskobik g��rüş alanı, Büyük Kepçe’nin yakınlarında, takımyıldız Av Köpekleri’ne (Canes Venatici) doğru bakıyor. Canes II galaksi grubunun en büyük üyesi olan, aynı zamanda NGC 4258 olarak da bilinen M106, yaklaşık 80.000 ışık yılı genişlikte ve 23,5 milyon ışık yılı uzakta. Çok çok uzaktaki bir galaksi için M106’nın mesafesi, kısmen de galaksinin dikkat çekici maseri, yani mikrodalga lazer emisyonu izlenerek doğrudan ölçüldüğü için iyi biliniyor. Çok nadir olan ama doğal olarak gerçekleşen maser emisyonu, aktif galaktik çekirdeğinin çevresinde dönen moleküler bulutlardaki su molekülleri tarafından üretiliyor. Sahnedeki öne çıkan bir başka spiral galaksi de, M106’nın sağ altında, neredeyse yandan görülen NGC 4217. NGC 4217’nin uzaklığıysa çok daha az biliniyor ve yaklaşık 60 milyon ışık yılı olarak tahmin ediliyor, ama ön plandaki dikenli görünüme sahip parlak yıldızlar, galaksimiz Samanyolu’nun içinde bulunuyor. Samanyolu’nun ötesindeki galaksilerin varlığı bile, 100 yıl önce astronominin Büyük Tartışma’sında sorgulanıyordu.
