i can't word this as well as i want to but i hope i get my point across- people who defend james sunderland's action of killing his wife with the reasoning of "she was going to die anyway" upsets me so vastly. being terminally ill doesn't give anyone the right to take your life, you think that'd be obvious but apparently not?? she said she wanted to die, but that's something that anyone who has ever been in tremendous agony would say. she didn't really, all she ever wanted was to not suffer so horribly. to not have the disease ruin her chance at a normal life. i see so many people try to justify it, to say he only killed her because he couldn't watch her be in so much agony. but james even admitted that part of the reason he did it was because he hated her- not really her, but the disease that took over their lives. the entire reason he was IN silent hill is because he knew what he did was wrong- he hated himself for taking her life. to try to make light of it, to attempt justifying it is a disservice to both mary and james
