Like yes, I can't understand why Tara would be with Cameron. There are so many good options, and of course I have my faves: Kim, Westley and Amira.

But I also have had friends introduce their boyfriend like "this is Dave 'Shitfuck' Davidson, he debates other shitheads on stream and doesn't know my birthday but he's the SWEETEST! I SWEAR!"

Now, they can finally see themselves represented in video game form ❤️ so beautiful 😍

I'm excited for NCIS: Origins. Mike Frank Alive and Probie Gibbs. I wish they introduce Ducky down the road too.

NCIS introduced different potential spinoff:

- LA 14x 17 one of my favourites. I like episodes with cold cases allowing you to go back on different times in the same show.

- I didn't like knight father. He can retire but it'll be a new Place rarely showed and new concept.

- I miss the early seasons of LA where the norm were going undercover to solve cases. Elite can be a mix of that and different natural of cases.

Back To The Future AU where Sahar gets sent back 30 years and Darcy and Tara are her friendly neighbourhood lesbians ('Dee' and 'Auntie Tara') who set up her parents at university so she has to play Come To My Window so they get together and then she accidentally invents Flirting With Her. Meanwhile Farouk is her scientist godfather (godgrandfather? eh) who thinks global warming must have gotten so bad since his future goddaughter keeps muttering "We're so cooked" to herself (he's correct on both fronts but correlation, not causation).

genuinely what if i watched buffy season 6 rn and just cooked my brain completely

I've seen a few people suggest that Dawn's line about Willow and Tara in Season 5's Real Me ("One time I told my Mom I wished they'd teach me some of the things they do together. And then she got really quiet and made me go upstairs … I guess her generation isn't cool with witchcraft.") is evidence that Joyce is (literally, as well as metaphorically) homophobic. And on one level, I guess, yeah, that's the joke: we're meant to think that Dawn and Joyce were having two very different conversations and that it's really something other than witchcraft that Joyce "isn't cool with". But -- as with a lot of the show's writing around Buffy's mother -- I think this line is actually just evidence that the writers didn't care enough to write her consistently.

You see, Dawn's voiceover in Real Me is meant to be catching the audience up on Dawn Summers' life so far. All the events of the last four seasons we somehow didn't notice. She's talking about a conversation she had with her mom "one time", not right this minute. The stories she's narrating are about things she experienced before the start of the episode. But, as late as Buffy vs Dracula -- which aired only one episode before Real Me, and which in context the events Dawn is describing almost certainly happened earlier than -- it's also a joke that Joyce doesn't know Willow and Tara are gay. (Joyce tries to defend inviting a strange pale man into her home by telling Willow and Tara that "he seemed nice and normal" and that when they get older they'll understand that "it's hard to date … sometimes you just feel like giving up on men altogether". From Willow and Tara's reaction -- they look at each other and try not to laugh -- it seems pretty clear that we're meant to read this as Joyce not being up to speed on Willow and Tara's relationship.)

And, well, obviously, these two readings aren't mutually consistent. Joyce either knows Willow and Tara are a couple or she doesn't. She can't assume that "the things they do together" are anything other than witchcraft if she also assumes they're both exclusively attracted to men. But Marti Noxon (who wrote Buffy vs Dracula) and David Fury (who wrote Real Me) both had their own ideas for jokes at Joyce's expense, and nobody involved cared that the two different unflattering impressions of Joyce these jokes gave didn't actually mesh at all well together.

Ah well, at least there are plenty of other middle-aged woman in the show that the writers treat with respect. Like … uh. Hmm.

(… oh, and before the inevitable reply: no, I don't think it improves matters to argue that the monks' spell to create Dawn also changed everyone's memories so that they now remember that Willow and Tara actually came out to Joyce and she was weird about it. I don't think 'the monks did it' ever helps.)

btvs 5x10 "into the woods" was very good. i liked the spooky dim lighting it made me think of xfiles. anya so cute as always and i liked getting to see her express hurt at how the others think she's so strange. and especially seeing that she feels willow doesn't like her. ive really been wanting to see more of anya's dynamics with people who are not xander or giles bc all her other relationships are pretty underdeveloped. willow initially disliked her cause she was jealous over xander but now that she's in a happy relationship with tara i wonder how that affects how she feels about anya. xander is often annoying but i thought he was really good in this episode. his conversation with buffy was really good. he didn't mince words but when it's your friend and when it's urgent you can't mince words. he was saying the things we were all thinking re: buffy & riley's relationship. when she said "what am i supposed to do, beg him to stay?" and xander said "why wouldn't you?" oh that was so good. he has grown so much and he understands what it really means to love someone. the vulnerability of that and the work you have to put in. and i like that buffy called him out for not appreciating anya enough. because she was right! and then xander was like oh man shes right and went and told anya how much he loves her. this i approve of. maybe xander just always needs to be written by women. marti noxon you knocked that outta the park. and this was her directorial debut so congrats to her on that! i liked that buffy chose to run after riley but didn't make it in time. sometimes you realize what you want but it's too late. not every mistake can be corrected. kind of a silly way to write riley out but you do not see me complaining.

Day 31 Happy New Year

Y/N'S POV

The room buzzed with a joyful cacophony of voices and laughter. Fairy lights danced along the walls, reflecting off glittering decorations. The air smelled like pine and cinnamon, with a hint of the hot chocolate bar near the corner. This wasn’t just a party—it was the party. And I had no idea how I managed to get everyone here.

“Hey! No way I’m losing again!” DanTDM shouted, holding a controller with the determination of a warrior. Across from him, Joel Dawson leaned forward, tongue slightly out as he focused. The Mario Kart showdown between the two had somehow drawn a crowd.

“Move over, kids,” Robert Downey Jr. smirked, picking up another controller. “Let the real gamer show you how it’s done.”

I laughed, sipping from my cup as I wandered through the crowd. Dillon was by the fireplace, showing Chris Evans some survival tricks. “You know, if you ever get trapped in the wilderness…” Dillon started, only to be interrupted by Bucky Barnes.

“Steve would never let that happen,” Bucky said, smirking at Chris.

“Okay, fair.” Chris shrugged with a laugh.

Sam and Dean Winchester were huddled near the drinks table, arguing over whether eggnog should have alcohol in it. “It’s tradition!” Dean insisted.

“It’s disgusting,” Sam countered.

Meanwhile, the Power Rangers RPM crew—Scott, Flynn, Summer, Ziggy, Gem, and Gemma—had commandeered the karaoke machine. Gem and Gemma were belting out a hilariously off-key version of “Jingle Bell Rock,” with Ziggy trying to keep up.

I turned to see Jake Webber and Corey Scherer pulling off ridiculous dance moves in the middle of the room, with Aaron Doh and Colby Brock hyping them up. Tara Yummy and Katrina Stuart cheered them on while filming for their socials.

Over by the dessert table, Jacksepticeye and Markiplier were in a heated debate about the proper way to eat a gingerbread cookie. “You don’t just bite the head off first!” Jack exclaimed.

“Why not? It’s efficient,” Mark countered, taking a demonstrative bite.

Near the tree, the Bat Family—Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and even Alfred—were quietly enjoying themselves. Well, except for Jason, who was trying to convince Damian to loosen up and eat a cookie.

“Look, kid, it’s not going to kill you.”

Damian frowned but took the cookie anyway.

“Happy?”

“Thrilled,” Jason deadpanned.

Marty McFly and Chase Randall had somehow found an old guitar and were jamming out, drawing in NateWantsToBattle and Dookieshed for an impromptu music session. It wasn’t long before Paultin Seppa and Strix joined in, with Strix awkwardly trying not to spill her drink on the guitar.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Flynn. “You doing okay, Y/N? It’s your party, and I haven’t seen you stop moving all night.”

“Me? I’m great!” I said, smiling.

“Well, take a breath. The world won’t end if you sit down for five minutes,” he said, always the caring one.

Nearby, MatPat was giving a wildly enthusiastic breakdown of the science behind snowflakes to Diath Woodrow and Evelyn. Evelyn nodded politely, though I could see Strix stifling a laugh behind her hand.

Sam Golbach and Gizzy Gazza were huddled together, plotting some kind of prank. “I’m just saying, fake snow in the vents could be hilarious,” Sam whispered.

“Until someone gets buried alive,” Katrina chimed in from across the room.

The Kratt brothers, Martin and Chris, were showing Josh Hutcherson a mini wildlife documentary they’d put together earlier in the day, while Carter Grayson chatted with Scott Truman about leadership tips.

Before I could even attempt to check on everyone, I heard Chris Hemsworth’s unmistakable laugh booming from the center of the room. He had everyone’s attention as he told a story about the time Thor “borrowed” his hammer for holiday decorating.

The night was chaotic, loud, and absolutely perfect. I couldn’t believe how many incredible people had come together in one place to ring in the new year.

As the clock struck midnight, I found myself surrounded by friends—no, family—as we all counted down together.

“Three… two… one… Happy New Year!”

Cheers erupted, confetti flew, and someone (probably Ziggy) set off a party popper way too close to the ceiling.

Looking around at everyone’s smiling faces, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. This wasn’t just a party. It was a celebration of love, laughter, and the bonds that made life extraordinary.

Here’s to another year of unforgettable moments.

“I’m not sure if meddling is a very good idea when we’re talking about our teachers.”
